Bryan Fischer here with the Life & Liberty Minute. Samuel Adams was The Father of the American Revolution. He instigated the Boston Tea Party, and he and John Hancock were the ones the British were looking for on Paul Revere’s midnight ride. Adams made sure that every session of the Continental Congress was opened in prayer. He was also aware of the signal importance of virtue in the life of any people who wish to be free. "A general dissolution of the principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt." Critically important words to remember if we want to celebrate many more American birthdays.
