Bryan Fischer here with the Life & Liberty Minute. The Founders gave us a republic, a form of government which depends entirely on fair elections. The Supreme Court last week upheld an Arizona law designed to protect election integrity. The opinion predictably elicited howls of rage from regressives because it destroys their ability to cheat through mail-in voting fraud. Many states have passed similar laws in the wake of the 2020 election. Said Justice Alito in the majority opinion, “One entirely legitimate state interest is the prevention of fraud, which can affect the outcome of a close election...and undermine public confidence in the fairness of elections.” Only one state prevented ballot harvesting in 2020. If this opinion had been issued a year ago, it’s possible, maybe even likely, that Donald Trump would still be our president.
