The Senate changed the rules to expedite the confirmation of President Trump's nominees
All right, one, major victory that we've had in recent, days that we just haven't had time to talk about because of all the other news that, that drew our attention, rightfully so, with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. the. We have been petitioning, we've been alerting you, our listeners and all of our supporters around the country. we've been alerting you to the problem of presidential nominees being hung up in the Senate. And we've covered this on the program. We've talked to Philip Jaragui about it with, AFA Action, We've sent out emails on this. But I'm pleased to let you know that after several months of fighting this and encouraging and challenging the Senate to speed up the process of nominations and approvals and confirmations in the US Senate, the Republicans have finally taken our advice, they finally taken our challenge and changed the rules. This was a very big deal, a very monumental move, where the Republican majority, led by Senator Thune, changed the rules of the Senate to expedite the confirmation of President Trump's nominees. And so now, just last week, they approved some 48 nominees with one vote, one vote on the Senate floor. They approved a bulk, batch of nominees, 48 of them with one vote At one time in, just a short period of time. And this was the fix. This was the proper way to go about it. And let's remind ourselves how we got here. We got here because the Democrats and Chuck Schumer blocked every single nominee of President Trump's historic levels of obstruction. Every single nominee was blocked. And the thing is, is they were deploying. The Democrats were deploying delay tactics for nominees that already had Democrat approval. They already had Democrat votes out of committee, many of them unanimous consent coming out of committee, or they had the full support of the committee. Let me just say that. And they were being blocked on the Senate floor by Democrats. So they already had the votes to pass, and the Democrats were delaying them purely out of spite, purely out of vindictiveness. There was no purpose, there was nothing to accomplish here other than putting on a show and making it, hard for President Trump to carry out his agenda. And so the Senate has changed the rules, and I'm proud to announce that now hundreds of nominees have been moved through the Senate. I think they've done two batches of 50, roughly. so that's 100, and then there were roughly over 100 already approved. So now we're in the 200 to 300 range. this is a very big deal. Very, very big deal. And it frees up the calendar. It frees up the calendar for, more critical nominees, like judicial nominees, so we can get them on the floor for a full vote. And so this had to be done. It needed to be done. The only way we got here, the only reason we got here, is because the Democrats know nothing other than obstruction. All they know is obstruction and destruction. They destroy everything that they touch. And so the Republicans in the Senate, their hand was forced. They had to do this, and they did, and they ought to be applauded for it. This was a very big deal. We've been pushing for this for months. And this was a mistake of the first Trump term when Mitch McConnell allowed the Democrats to slow walk his nominees. This happened the first, term, and we learned from it and we put the pressure on the Republicans and they changed the rules and now they're pushing through batches of 50, 75, 100 nominees, in just a one week period. So very, very good news, very, effective, engagement by our audience here. You guys called in, you emailed your senators, and so kudos to you for having an impact there. So that's a good news item. I usually come and, you know, want to criticize the Republicans for all their weaklings that they have in their midst, but on this one, At least for now, we'll give them a pat on the back. on that note, let's play a clip. This is Senate Majority Leader John Thune reminding us how we got to this point. Clip one. Mr.
>> Sen John Thune: President, when I became Majority Leader, I made it clear that one of my priorities was to get the Senate functioning again. And the Senate can't function, function effectively as a legislative body with the confirmation process in the state that it's in right now. So today, the Senate will move forward on amending the rules to restore the long standing precedent of confirming presidential nominees expeditiously. It would have been nice not to have to go through this process. I think there are a lot of Democrats who are aware that they've created an untenable situation, and it would have been nice to see them acknowledge that and to move to return to longtime Senate precedent. But despite extended efforts to engage Democrats, we still haven't gotten to a solution to the problem that they created. Time's about to run out. One way or the other, we're going to fix this today. Fix it and restore the longtime Senate precedent of expeditious confirmation and the Senate's role as first and foremost a legislative body.
>> Walker Wildmon: Well, there you have it. That's Senator Thune. Announcing the rule change and how we got here. We got here because the Democrats obstructed and they didn't obstruct occasionally. They were obstructing every single nominee, even ones that had Democrat support. And so it was unreasonable. it was absurd. It was an abuse of the process in the Senate. And the Senate's got to be more functioning. They have to be more efficient in how they go about their business. And it shouldn't be the place where, business goes to die. It just shouldn't be that way. It's not meant to be that way. And so thanks to the Republicans in the Senate for moving President Trump's sub cabinet level appointments, through the Senate in a swift short order.
Shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas leaves one dead and several injured
All right, the breaking news out of Dallas as of this morning was a shooting on a Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, in Dallas, in the Dallas area. And this is on the heels of the Charlie Kirk assassination motivated by none other than left wing violence. We have initial investigative findings by the Federal Bureau of Investigation indicating that this was none other than an anti ice, individual that was, reportedly took his own life after shooting, firing multiple rounds into the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, tragically, killing At least one and injuring others, in the ICE facility of which there were detainees actually. so it looks like they just. The shooter just blindly shot rounds into the facility and tragically, killed At least one detainee and injured others. Very sad, very tragic incident that didn't have to be that way. But the initial findings with the bullet casings having anti ICE rhetoric, anti Immigrations and Customs Enforcement rhetoric on it, early on indication is that this is a, this is another left winger. now that could change as we find out more about their social media, their online habits. but At least that's what Cash, Patel, the FBI director has released thus far. this is, folks, this is becoming a weekly thing here. Okay? We just had a, another Texas ICE facility several weeks ago was also attacked and shot up. And we had the, there was another ICE facility just in recent days. I was looking At I think it was in Chicago. But left, wingers are blocking the entrance and impeding law enforcement and assaulting, federal agents. We've had the New Jersey ICE facility assaulted. this is becoming a regular thing. And then we've got this dangerous rhetoric, that is really stirring up the grassroots of the Democrat base, the Democrat voting party.
Jasmine Crockett compared ICE to slave patrols on MSNBC
And so let's listen to, the first one. I want us to listen to, is, this is Jasmine Crockett from Texas, actually a congresswoman from Texas on msnbc, comparing Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to slave patrols. Let's listen.
>> Rep Crockett: But as somebody who understands history, when. I see ice, I see slave patrols. Now, I never lived through the slave patrol period, but if you know the. History of policing in this country, then you understand that they were born out of slave patrols.
>> Walker Wildmon: Okay? So, number one, Bobby, she's now an expert on history and slave history.
>> Bobby Roza: She understands slave history.
>> Walker Wildmon: Right. And, so now our federal law enforcement agents that are sworn to protect the homeland and deport people who are illegally in our country, which is a virtuous duty, a, moral duty, a duty that is wholly in line with God's design for government and sovereignty and borders, they're now members of the slave patrol, going back to the Jim Crow era and the plantation era and the slave era. So now this is further dehumanizing of federal law enforcement, Bobby.
>> Bobby Roza: Yeah, for sure. And, as a sad byproduct of that, with this latest shooting in Dallas At the ICE facility, there, an illegal immigrant met an untimely death for no good reason.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah.
>> Walker Wildmon: No good reason.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah. And Bobby, this rhetoric, you can't listen to Jasmine Crockett on MSNBC comparing immigrations and Customs Enforcement to slave patrol and, and then say, well, that doesn't have any effect on. That doesn't have any effect. That rhetoric doesn't have any effect on people acting out violence. It absolutely, absolutely does.
>> Bobby Roza: And it's, and it's magnified and multiplied many, many times over. All you have to do is go to the Internet, watch mainstream media. There's heaping helpings every, every way, you turn. And, and if they don't think they're responsible, they will find out one day how responsible they truly are.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, absolutely. whether it's At the ballot box or criminal or civil investigations, you cannot continue to spew this rhetoric and expect to not face some type of consequence which, whether it be criminal, civil, or losing your congressional race, whatever it may be. The, the, the rhetoric is dangerous. It is leading left wing radicals to violence. That is a fact. We'll be back in a few. Hey.

Sarah Parshall Perry is with us from Defending Education
>> Walker Wildmon: Welcome back to the program. Glad to have you with us on this edition of the Core here on American Family Radio. I want to jump to our guest that we have on this segment. Sarah Parshall Perry is with us, Sarah's vice president and legal fellow over At Defending Education. And we've had Sarah on before and others from Defending, Ed. Sarah, welcome back to the program.
>> Sarah Parshall Perry: Thanks for having me.
>> Walker Wildmon: Sarah, I came across this, what's called the nation's report card, but it's produced by the National Assessment of Educational Progress. And it basically looks, At how America is trending and how states are trending, when it comes to education and when it comes to student assessments, student scores, it breaks it down by subject matter, our subject, rather. And so it's a pretty good snapshot into, is our education environment improving or is it not? And our country has spent and is spending billions of dollars every year on education. And we're also At the same time petitioned for more money. Right? Every state saying we need more money for education. So tell us, what this nation's report card ended up showing.
>> Sarah Parshall Perry: Well, I can say that the results were nothing short of devastating. That's not an overstatement. In fact, what we see is 8th grade scores At math and English come out every year, but 12th grade scores come out every four years. And this was the first time we had a chance to assess exactly how the students who were eighth graders during the height of the COVID pandemic actually ended up faring educationally, overall. And the results will not surprise you were abysmal. In fact, 12th grade math scores, only 22% of students are proficient. That is the lowest in 20 years. 12th grade reading proficiency, only 35% are proficient At grade level. That's the lowest in the history of the test, dating all the way back to 1992. 8th grade science proficiency was At 31%. We're only seeing 30% or less of the nation's kids between 8th and 12th grade At or below grade level. That indicates to us we have a massive system failure. A third of the high schoolers that we sent off to college last year in 2024, and I was a parent of one of those high school seniors in 2024 had the basic math and reading scores needed to succeed At the college level. Only a third of them, we sent the other 70% into college, trade school, out of the workforce with lacking proficiency on basic grade levels in English and in math. So that means to my mind and to our organization, for many, college has just become a lengthier and more expensive proposition. Why? Because now they have to scramble to catch up. In fact, many pundits are talking about the fact that a four year degree, really to get individuals to where they would have been 30 years ago in preparation for the workforce, are now requiring two more years of remedial education to catch up with the failures of the American K to 12 education system. It's absolutely unconscionable.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah. To your point, you get, if you don't do well in high school and on your test scores, your ACT or sat, there's different tests around the country. But if you don't do well on those, in the different subjects, then they put you in these kind of beginner level courses. And no, shame on me, I was in one of them in math. but they don't count towards your credits. To your point, you take a lot of these courses your freshman year and they don't count. They literally don't count. And you're paying for them. They don't count. and then once you pass it, then you can start getting into courses that actually count towards your totals that you need to graduate. And so that's where you get an extra year or two of school. Plus sometimes you change your degree because you don't know what you want to do for a living, or you'll flunk out and have to move and some stuff doesn't transfer. I mean, there's a litany of different reasons why college is now taking folks five to six years instead of four, ah, for a bachelor's degree. And this is one of them, that they're going in unprepared, on these scores that are very, very bad. I want to kind of get down in. And some of this is, kind of hypothesizing or, you know, guessing as far as what the root cause is, because that's what everybody wants to know. What's, what's causing this. Do we have not good teachers, not good administrators? Is a curriculum off? It's probably a combination of all the above. Although I would say the last person to blame is probably the teachers because they're usually the ones working the hardest, generally speaking. But I've noticed this upward trend, and you're probably very much aware of this in administrators, this upward hiring trend over the last 20 years. And when you look At it on a chart, basically the hiring of teachers has plateaued. We're not really hiring any more teachers per student, that is, but the hiring of these bureaucrats, these administrators that sit in central office and, and I don't know, send emails back and forth or whatever. their, their hiring has spiked. So we're, we're not hiring more teachers to where we can get these ratios down to manageable levels, but we're hiring way more administrators that cost overhead and take away from the budget of the teachers.
Since the COVID pandemic, K12 scores have plummeted
So talk a little bit about that.
>> Sarah Parshall Perry: Well, there are so many causes, you know, I could wax poetic on why I think the scores plummeted in the past four years since the COVID pandemic, among all of the other things. Yes, we've seen a glut in hiring of administrators. And in fact now many colleges have on staff as many as 40 diversity, equity and inclusion staff, 40, just to play politics with race. And what we're seeing is that is sort of being mirrored At the K12 level as well. Outside consultants are being hired for racially sensitive programming. Outside consultants are being brought in to instruct on gender identitarianism, non binary, gender fluid concepts. These are K through 12 students. This is essential money that's not going toward the rigorous academic achievement that we've secured back 30, 40, 50 years ago. But what we've been ultimately watching is since the doors closed on Covid, we've seen a precipitous drop. Now, the drop was particularly bad and the losses were concentrated not among boys, but among girls. That makes perfect sense because you realize girls who are naturally social creatures, isolated essentially in their bedrooms on a computer without the ability to Interact with one another to actually perform in a classroom, to develop social skills that are needed to succeed. We saw a precipitous drop where we didn't see a drop. And this should indicate, I think for anybody who's listening to the program, exactly how important school choice is. Charter schools were also assessed. Now remember, charter schools, even though we think automatically charter schools are private, they are actually a function the creation of state law. So they are technically public. But because they are an alternative education platform, we saw no losses in charter school learning. That is very fascinating to me and I think notable because charter schools were up and operational within a very short period of time while the public schools beholden to the unions, and I speak from full experience, when I was living in Maryland, the Baltimore county teachers union was good At keeping the schools closed. And we were out for a year, almost two full years. My son, who had a 504 plan, lost three years of learning when I had him independently assessed. So I walked this walk and I'm going to tell you, the COVID closures, the failure to account for educational choice, the money being spent on bureaucrats, diversity consultants and outside corporations to come in and develop programming as opposed to developing solid curricula, are really all the ingredients of what is ultimately a pretty toxic soup.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, this and what you've basically summed up there is a whole lot of misplaced priorities. I mean, that's the essence of it. If you had to shorten all that, it's misplaced priorities. And you have, you have this, this not. You really had this non competitive environment. And once again, we're speaking broadly, there's some, some outliers around the country. Look, and look At some districts that are, that are. Their leadership's good and they're very competitive. But broadly speaking, In K through 12 education, the competitive nature of it just isn't there. Because it doesn't matter how they produce. Either way they're going to get, they may actually get more money if they don't produce because they'll get more attention and they say, oh, we need to pump more money into this. so in some instances performing poorly actually brings more money with it. but when you have the teachers unions and the media in their back pocket that are saying that charter schools is a terrible idea, homeschooling is toxic, private schooling is bad, and they go through all these things that we can't do and it all has to be government run public education, then you're creating this monopoly on the education environment and it doesn't Create healthy competition where districts and schools and teachers all want to outdo each other because it's the right thing to do. and then it just becomes a status quo. And that's what we're seeing now is lack, of competition. So what are you seeing? The trend around the country? I know there's, there's a lot of push for school choice, charter schools, voucher programs, all of that. What are you seeing as the trend and do you think we're having some success on that front?
>> Sarah Parshall Perry: Yeah, I think there is an increased sort of curiosity and willingness to dabble in sort of alternative education formats. I think we also have to be realistic about the fact that most school kids, 90% of them to be, in fact, for reasons of financial ability, zoning or parents workload, cannot be homeschooled, go to parochial school or have the opportunity for an alternative education format. So unfortunately, public education for a lot of these kids is really kind of what they're, they're relegated to. There are no other logistical options for one of, a myriad of reasons. So I think we need to be practical about the fact that public education really is a creature that's here to stay. Now whether or not we see the dismantling of the Department of Education is a whole other consideration. Now to our minds and I think to any right thinking conservative, we all recognize that the Department of Education is not a constitution entity. There was no constitutional basis for its creation. Congress has certain enumerated powers. The rest of those powers go to the states. The 10th amendment's very clear about that. And one of those things that the Supreme Court has told us is education. Unfortunately, you didn't unfortunately remember that in 1979 when the legislation, the Department of Education Organization act was passed, which caused the Department of Education to open its doors 10 for $3 trillion since 1980, we have very little to show for it. And these NAEP scores are proof positive that we have a major problem. There is a differential between what we spend and exactly what the outcomes are. In fact, one of the few nations that outpaces us in educational spending is China. And China is At the top of the IEDC economic development hack when it comes to the success of their students and their lucrative careers, their profitability and their success in the ultimate workforce. One of the things that I've encouraged state legislators to do, and We've got a C4 arm that's going to be up and running to help push for good legislation in the states is passing strident curricular standards. The more rigorous Your curricular standards are, whether that's, home economics, whether that's mathematics and calculus, whether or not it's Western civilization, whether or not it's English literature, you will have less opportunity, ability and desire to push in things like gender identity, critical race theory, social emotional learning, because you'll know that the tests that your children will have to take will ultimately yield whether or not those standards are working. My attitude is if you make education rigorous, you don't have time for all of the other ideological nonsense that we see coming in through the back door, 99% of which is a function of union representation. So I think it's kind of a combination of needing more choice but needing better academic rigor and needing to get the unions completely divested from public education, which for our, organization means reporting on their malfeasance, identifying all of their malfeasance everywhere it happens. We actually just published a report, Walker, you'll be interested to note this, called Diverted. It is where we saw unions, AFT and the NEA, the two biggest unions in the country, spending their money. Since 2016, those two unions have spent $220 million on woke progressive political causes, including things like Act Blue, the Human Rights Campaign, and the Future Forward Campaign, which was Kamala Harris's ah, political action committee. These are not educators. They're agit props. They're indoctrinators. They don't care about students, they don't care about outcomes, and it seems they don't even care about their teachers because teachers use public salary to pay mandatory dues to public unions that turn them right around and invest them in left wing political causes. It is a major scandal.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, it is. The teachers unions have become toxic, and the national one is the worst of the worst or the worst offender. and when you look At wine, the president. Yeah, Randy Weingarten. Randy Weingarten. Yeah, that's it. Trying to think of her name. And you look At her book she just put out, you know, about fighting fascists. It's like, wait, you're a left wing hack and you're running the teachers union and you want us to respect you as being like far teachers and far students? I mean, give me a break. they're an arm of the Democrat party. Pretty much. They're an arm of the Democrat party. And you look At those donations you just talked about, those are all Marxist left wing groups.
>> Sarah Parshall Perry: That's it.
>> Walker Wildmon: Hrc, et cetera. So, one thing that these states have to do is make make sure that more money goes to the classroom. I mean, this ratio of, you know, half of your money going or more to administration is just absurd. And every time these states increase money, increase the education budget, none of it makes it to the classroom. It goes to the administration. And so that's got to be fixed as well, so that the classroom is the primary focus of where the money is spent. Hey, Sarah, thanks so much for coming on the program.

The left wing violence is increasing every week

Well, continuing this discussion about left wing violence and the, breaking news this morning out of Dallas with the, shooting on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility where tragically there's been At least one fatality, multiple injured there. this is, this. It should come as no surprise. This should come as no surprise. And someone needs to do this. I don't have the time to do it. I've tried to do it. I've put together some of this. But, and maybe there, maybe, maybe it'll come to my attention somebody that's doing this, but somebody needs to put together, some investigative journalist needs to put together a document with all of the left wing violence documented. Because I can just tell you this. Anecdotally, it seems as though this is every week. Okay, not necessarily someone being killed, but the violence is every week. Whether it's, immigration to Customs Enforcement agents being assaulted, blocked, impeded, or even killed or shot At there is this violence and in some Instances, death. That is becoming a weakly thing. I mean, just coming off of the Charlie Kirk assassination, we have the shooting, which we didn't even cover this on the program. We have the shooting At this golf club I think in New Hampshire, where this Free Palestine jihadi sympathizer, radical ideologue goes up in a golf course and guns down people, kills people, shouting free Palestine. We have multiple transgender shooters At different schools, mostly Christian schools around the country. And now there's reports about this assassin over in Utah, about what his fascinations were, what his leanings were. And it's not looking good, let me just tell you. It's not looking good. It's possible that it wasn't just his roommate that was into some pretty dark stuff. Some of the investigative findings are showing that he himself, the assassin himself, was neck deep in this transgender fixation. And to piece this puzzle together folks, this notion in the media that the Democrats and the media have nothing to do with, with what we saw happen in Utah. And then we have Jimmy Kimmel making his comeback tour last night claiming that the shooter in Utah doesn't represent any of us. Well, I beg to differ and I'm not suggesting that the shooter represents Jimmy Kamoler, the shooter represents any particular individual other than himself. But what I am refuting is the notion that the shooter doesn't reflect an ideology, which is what Kimmel was alluding to. The shooter, the assassin does, does reflect an ideology. It's a self professed ideology. And so we can't allow these, these assassinations and in President Trump's case, assassination attempts or even attempts At violence. We can't allow them to be discounted as lone wolf attacks or the, the act of one gunman or this is not reflective of the movement or the Democrat party or etc. Etc. When, when you spend years, years and this is not, this is not a 2025 thing or a, you know, post 2024 election thing. This even goes back pre President Trump, if we really want to be technical here, this goes back to pre 2015, pre 2016. Now, maybe not At this scale, but we have the Family Research shooter, the Family Research Council shooter, we have the Steve Scalise shooter, Bernie Sanders guy. By the way, we had a, a guy out of Florida busted for death threats on us here At AFA, busted by the FBI, busted by the U.S. attorney's office, spent six months behind bars. We, President Trump had two assassination attempts on his life, one of them within millimeters of taking his life. We had the Summer of Rage or the Summer of Love, depending on what side you're coming from. We have high level Democrat operatives and Democrat party leaders standing on the steps of the Supreme Court, standing in the streets, going on camera. And whether it's Myshel Obama, Eric Holder, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, the list goes on. Comparing you and me, two Nazis, two fascist, threat to democracy, basket of deplorables, Gestapo, and according to Crockett, slave patrols. That's a new one. Hadn't heard that one before. I have heard kkk.
When you talk about your ideological opponents in dehumanizing terms, it's ideological warfare
And so when you talk about your political opponents, which clearly, this is more than politics, folks. This is way more than politics. This is an ideology, an ideological war that when you get talk in spiritual terms, it's a spiritual war. But talking broadly and philosophically, this is an ideological war. This is way past a political war, my friends. Political wars. You raise campaign funds and outspend each other with your super PACs. Now we're gunning people down the streets. This isn't politics anymore. This is ideology versus ideology. But when you, when you talk about your ideological opponents in a manner that treats them less than human, and then you, and then you're gap, you're Gavin Newsom and you go on Colbert within the last 48 hours, by the way, this is all fresh. This isn't seven year old news stories, this is fresh. Look it up. Gavin Newsom goes on Colbert 48 hours, within the last 48 hours and says that he's just not sure that we're going to have a 2028 election because President Trump and his supporters are a threat to democracy. And he just not isn't sure if this democracy is going to live on and it just might come to an end and there just might not be a 2028 presidential election if President Trump stays At the helm in the White House. okay. All right, so I've heard a lot and I've said a lot of hyperbolic things like not quite what he just said, but I've said things like I'm just not how much, I'm not sure how much longer our country can go on like this or, you know, if President Biden gets four more years, I'm not sure that we're going to have a country in four more years, meaning the institutions and the rule of law and the constitutional principles are going to be so eroded that what we have today is going to be unrecognizable. Okay, that's all, that's all political talk. That's all Ideological talk. But you're not to the level that that kind of talk during election cycles is nowhere near what the Democrats are doing now. And so when Gavin Newsom, says that he's not sure that King Trump is going to allow a 2028 presidential cycle, which is essentially what he said, and then within the same 24 hours, Jasmine Crockett, Congressman out of, congresswoman out of Texas, says that, that these immigration agents are basically slave patrols working on behalf of the plantation. And then you've got these left wing voters that most of them don't have jobs. They can't hold down a, job. They're trolling the Internet 24 7. They're in these, in these Reddit discord chat rooms with all the other left wing antifa, Marxist, and they're convinced that the only way that their radical agenda and propaganda and brainwashing and At this point religion is going to continue, the only way it's going to continue is if there's no more maga, there's no more Donald Trump, there's no more American Family association, and you can go, there's no more Charlie Kirk. So when you talk about us in dehumanizing terms and in the same sentence say that if we continue advancing our ideological and political agenda on this country, that the country will cease to have democratically held elections and you continue parroting these talking points and this messaging to a very vulnerable population prone to evil and wickedness because they're already godless, and then you have their ideological evil leaders coming on top, pouring down the propaganda and the gasoline on the fire, then what do you have? You have the Charlie Kirk assassination and you fit the profile of the Charlie Kirk assassin. This is like textbook propaganda. And so I want us to not fall into this lie that the way Gavin Newsom talks, the way Jasmine Crockett talks, the way Chuck Schumer talks, the way Maxine Waters talks about you and me and our political and spiritual and ideological movement that is very peaceful, by the way, because we fight our battles in court, we fight our battles At the ballot box and we fight our battles talking, not shooting At people. Charlie Kirk went to campuses to talk to people and he gave people the microphone that didn't like him and that didn't like his ideas and didn't agree with him. And he gave him the microphone and said, let's hear from you. He wanted to debate people peacefully. And. What does he get? He gets shot for that. And so the both sides narrative is a complete and utter myth, wholly not backed up by the data. The both sides argument is dismissive and naive At best, evil At worst because it's factually not true. This is not a both sides problem. When we don't like President Biden, what do we do? I'm talking about conservatives broadly. What do they do? Well, they find a candidate, Donald Trump, and then they go to the ballot box and they vote for him because they don't like Joe Biden. And Joe Biden was bad for multiple reasons. But when you go to the other side, that's not what they do. They don't just go to the ballot box, they resort to violence. And all of this is aimed At dis. Couraging discourse, discouraging people from speaking their beliefs and their values and their worldview into the public sphere. And I'll tell you this, it's largely one sided because when was the last time a liberal feared speaking peacefully their political views into the public sphere? And know before you say, well, Jimmy Kimmel did and he was canceled. No, no, no. I'm not talking about death threats. I'm not talking about celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I'm not talking about threatening violence or evil or wickedness. No, I'm just talking about simple political and policy and ideological disagreements. When was the last time a left winger was canceled or assaulted or assassinated because we just simply didn't like their ideas? You're not going to find it. This is not a both side situation. This is a one sided Marxist left wing ideological assault on the very front fundamentals of what makes our country great.
