Our trips to Israel and Greece continue to fill up
Moving into our scripture, which is where we have been this week. Proverbs chapter 27 verse 1. Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. This is simply a warning about pretending we know the future or boasting that we know the future or that we are in full control of our future. this is just a warning, a simple warning against that type mentality and a callback to recognizing that God is the author of our lives and God is the writer of history and he is in full control despite the fact that sometimes we like to think that we're in full control. That's Proverbs chapter 27 verse 1, the warning that we have this week. Well our trips to Israel and Greece continue to fill up. I just got off the phone with a, a lady who, her and a friend are coming with us to the Footsteps of Paul Tor. we're going to have a great time of fellowship and Bible history and spiritual growth all on our trip to Israel and Greece. These are back to back trips. You can do one or you can do both. That's up to you. the first leg of the trip is the Israel portion and that's the 10th through the 17th of March and then the 18th through the 24th of March is the footsteps of Paul portion in Greece. And so we're looking forward to visiting with over when you do, when you combine Both, we're approaching 200 registrants when you combine both trips. but my parents, Tim and Allison, they're doing the Israel portion and then my brother Wesley and I, we're going to do the Greece portion for the first time by the way. Jack Posobiec: The media continues to pretend they don't know motive
Well, we're beginning to learn more not only about the Charlie Kirk assassin but also these latest, including the one out of Dallas this week, attack on Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities. And this is a trend, this is a trend is coming, becoming a pretty consistent trend. And when you, when you put everything in context, we really ought not be surprised that left wing radicals are taking to the streets and they're literally taking up arms. The media continues and the Democrats continue, mainly the media though in this instance, in this instant, they continue to pretend like we don't know the motive. And I believe what this is, is it's a denial tactic. It's a delay tactic in many regards and I'll explain why. And it's rather rather scandalous the, the level of denial, ah, that the media will go to, to pretend that they don't know the motive. But if it's a right winger that they, so they call them, we know the motive within five minutes. I mean absolutely we know the motive. It's just clear we know that we know the motive of everybody that was there on January 6 and their motive was insurrection according to the left. But when we have violence committed by Democrat voters and Democrat operatives, oh, we're just not sure about the motive. We're just going to have to wait and see. And the wait and see is they never update us on what the motive is or they do it during their least watched programs. And let's not forget we were, and I brought in the clip from cnn. We were probably a couple days removed, we were probably 48 to 72 hours removed from the Charlie Kirk assassination of which we then knew the shooter. At the 30 plus hour mark we knew the shooter, quickly began learning about the shooter, homosexual, living with a transgender, got all these weird fetishes and tendencies and very twisted situation and individual. we began learning all that. I mean we had the casings, the bullet casings with the you know, anti fascist, pro transgender type, mantras on them. And and then we had the chat room, the discord chat room. And so it became abundantly clear within, let's just say 48 hours and 12 to 24 hours after the arrest of the shooter. Within three days, we kind of knew what was going on here. It wasn't a mystery. And then you had the formal charges filed by the U.S. attorney's office or the state prosecutor in this regard. And and they simply labeled this as a political assassination because the individual didn't like Charlie Kirk and wanted Charlie Kirk dead, per his own words, because of Charlie Kirk's religion and politics, which go hand in hand. And so the we don't know the motive statement is just a flat out lie. It's a flat out lie and it's an attempt to deflect blame where blame should really be laid. And that is At the hands of Democrats and the media with their dangerous rhetoric. And then of course, they've got their, their troops out there taking orders, going to the streets, picking up arms, and in their, in their view, taking out the fascist, taking out the Nazis. Let's play a couple clips here, to keep this conversation going. This is going to be clip four. this is, Megyn Kelly on with Jack, Posobec talking about how the media intentionally claims to never know the motive of these left wing shooters. And then when they do know the motive, it's too late. And then they never update their viewers. This is clip four.
>> Speaker E: And the points you're making about the guy now who did the ICE shooting yesterday are completely valid. And what's infuriating is we saw in this case, as we saw with the Charlie case, what the motivation was. It was literally written on the bullet casings. The shooter went to the trouble of writing it on the bullet so there wouldn't be any ambiguity. And yet still the media pretends like it's all, all some big mystery. This morning, having seen this photo and read the reports we felt that we read where he was openly identified as a communist. they still went to air with, unclear. We really don't know what the motive was. We have no idea. Totally inappropriate and irresponsible. Then this morning, I mean, you don't normally get it like this. You don't normally get the explicit, my goal is to terrorize ice. I hope they're terrorized by now realizing I can shoot them from roofs around their facilities. And you watch not one of those sources. Not npr, not msnbc, not NBC. None of the sources who Pitch the we don't know. This morning before we had that explicit line, all we had was the bullet casing. Is going to update their report with. Now we know they're going to continue pretending it was a mystery because they don't care about stopping it. If this were their people, they'd be blasting the motivations as they've been written by these killers from the rooftops. It's because it's us, and they're, secretly in favor of it that they want to keep doing this. Which is why I think many of us are feeling truly radicalized by their behavior.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, yeah, she's right. This is, I have no doubt. And we, and once again, everything that I'm saying here we have receipts for. Okay, I posted on X last week a five minute montage of left wing media heads calling us Nazis fascist and Hitler and the kkk. I played a clip earlier in the week of a congresswoman calling, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents the, slave patrol. That's a precise quote. And so, but, but my point. And so, so when we say that the left is engaging in dangerous rhetoric, it's abundantly clear this is not a fringe thing, a one off thing. This is daily. Okay? And furthermore, when Megyn Kelly says that secretly, they're okay with this, talking about Democrats and Marxists secretly, they're okay with this, that can be backed up as well because some people might say, well, you don't know that. Or that's, that's a, that's a broad statement. Okay, okay.
How many people celebrated Charlie Kirk's assassination online? Hundreds of thousands
How many people celebrated Charlie Kirk's assassination? All right, so we're in the thousands, okay? That's a fact. Okay? There's, there's hundreds, hundreds, if not over a thousand documented instances online that we have receipts for of individuals of all backgrounds and all, you know, income levels and education and everything that explicitly cheered and applauded and celebrated when Charlie Kirk was assassinated. That is documented. Okay? And then now we have Democrats saying publicly, you know what, we're not going to honor Charlie Kirk. We're not going to do a resolution in the House of Representatives memorize memorializing Charlie Kirk because of xyz. And they go through the long laundry list of accusing Charlie Kirk of being all the things that we know he's not. And so if, if you follow the logic here and you're, you put yourself in the shoes of, a Democrat, specifically a leader in the party and someone that you accuse of being a Nazi or a fascist or a slave patrol. Once again, every one of those are quotes Then if you follow that logic, then would they be, would they be upset if one of the Nazis slave patrols, members of the KKK fascist. If they died. And I actually just pulled up an article earlier today that I didn't even catch until now. When my grandfather passed away in December of 2023. There was an article the next month in January of 2024. And I'll have to go back and find the outlet, pretty well known outlet. They, wrote this extensive piece about how my grandfather was the worst person alive and they're glad he's dead. That's the article that they wrote. This is like an. This was a major nonprofit organization. This wasn't some troll online. This was a major nonprofit organization. And so when you find, if you follow the logic, then they're not. The left is not the least bit disappointed, saddened or outraged that conservatives are being picked off. And this is why the rhetoric has to change. You cannot falsely accuse conservatives of being a threat to democracy and every other name under the sun. That's the worst of the worst. And not expect these online addicts that are in very dark places to take these as anything other than calls to arms. we'll talk more about this coming out of the break.

American Family Radio host discusses radicalization of American left on today's show

The, continuing this discussion of the radicalization of the American left. I've got a couple, one or two more maybe clips and then I've got this pretty extensive piece that the Guardian put out profiling the Charlie Kirk assassin and how he was radicalized online. And it really highlights the dangers of these online chat rooms and how people who are already in a tough dark place, go to even deeper places, darker places when they get in these online chat rooms. And I've got Reddit threads, documented Reddit threads of left wingers, talking about who all they're going to kill next. And this stuff is not hard to find, by the way. It just takes about 15 minutes of research and they'll start finding this stuff. But, I do want to play a clip.
U.S. attorney talks about Dallas shooter's manifesto
Before I go to this Guardian story, I do want to play a clip of the U.S. attorney from the northern part of Texas talking about the Immigration and Custom Enforcement shooter, that he, the manifesto he left as they were presenting some of the charges. Let's not the charges, the shooter's deceased, thankfully, but let's listen to clip five.
>> Speaker F: He also hoped his actions would give ICE agents real terror of being gunned down. And he did this to induce constant stress in their lives. He hoped his actions would terrorize ICE employees and interfere with their work, which he called human trafficking. And this, what he did, is the very definition of terrorism. Again his notes reveal, yes, it was just me and my brain. And he said good luck with the digital footprint. And of course we take this to mean that he deleted evidence from his devices. His words were definitively anti ice. That said, we did not find evidence of membership in any specific group or entity, nor did he mention any specific government agency other than ice. Among his papers though was a handwritten note in which in crude words, he expressed his hatred for the federal government.
>> Walker Wildmon: Well, there you have it. And what the U.S. attorney didn't go into, probably because it's so early in the investigation, is what online chat rooms was the shooter involved in? I'll almost guarantee it. Now they're probably haven't found that yet or they're not willing to release it or they have to confirm it. But I'm just telling you the vast majority of these shooters are on the Internet before the shooting. The ice, the shooter she's referencing, he spent 17 hours binge playing video games before he committed the murder, before he committed the shooting in Dallas. Looking At this Guardian piece I came across and not all things put out by the Guardian are good or trustworthy. But this, this doesn't necessarily give us a kind of a moral opinion which we prefer to do on the program. this gives kind of an overview of the problem. Okay. And we'll link to this, I'll give it over to Bobby and we'll link to this on the show, notes.
Tyler Robinson allegedly left nihilistic messages on Charlie Kirk's ammunition
But nonetheless, this is out of the Guardian and the headline is Memes and Nihilistic in Jokes the Online world of Charlie Kirk's alleged killer. And when you read through this, I'm just going to pick out some highlights. and just, I'm just going to quote this, this article here. A growing number of shooters are in conversation with their digital communities which are becoming extreme. On the day of the 20, on the day that 22 year old Tyler Robinson shot and killed conservative Charlie Kirk. Prosecutors say he texted his roommate to confess what he had done, while appearing to admit to the murder and describe how he was planning to retrieve his gun, he pivoted to mention why he had carved messages into the ammunition. And then he talks about why he was engraving messages, into the ammunition. Robinson's shooting of Kirk has put the spotlight on the intersection of political violence in an increasingly nihilistic online world that promotes misinformation and extremism. It's a confluence that raises fundamental questions about how Internet culture influences both extremist attacks and how we understand them At a time when some of the biggest online spaces are increasingly more divisive and less moderated. Robinson appeared, to spend much of his life on the Internet playing video games with friends, describing him as terminally online. He was active on Discord, a messaging platform popular amongst the gaming community, and as a teenager dressed up as Internet memes for Halloween. Alright, moving on, skipping a paragraph or two that are irrelevant to this point. with the references, Robinson fits talking about some of the explicit vulgar messages he left on the bullet casings. With these references, Robinson fits a modern trend of attackers leaving behind messages that not only show they are products of an online culture, but are in conversation with it. In recent years, a growing number of shooters have left behind writings, whether full manifestos or single sentence post online that contain nihilistic in jokes and references that aim to differentiate their extremely online cohort from the quote normies who struggle to understand them. The manifesto left behind and then it goes through some other shooters, and then it goes on to say in addition to speaking to their online communities, attackers are also often in dialogue with each other, whether in some far right circles where extremists celebrate individuals as saints, with their online m. Memorialized days, or simply through copying elements of previous killings. As others have noted, Robinson's writing on the bullet cases is similar to meme messages left on ammunition and firearms, by the young, shooter that attacked the Minneapolis Catholic School. It also echoes the engravings that the alleged United Healthcare CEO shooter is reported to have left on his bullets, which became a meme to the point, it featured it on shirts from popular, fashion labels, or alternative fashion labels. And so it's, it's a, it's a kind of a mixed article. It's definitely not a conservative outfit. But it does do a pretty good job painting the picture of what we're dealing with here. And what we're dealing with is. And I told somebody the other day, when you look At the, At the Internet, not just social media, let's just say the Internet. When you look At the Internet, it has, it has undoubtedly brought about, I think I can say this, maybe not the Internet, maybe the Internet is too broad. Let's say, let's say social media, social media to include forms of online entertainment, all right, Chat rooms, Netflix, Facebook. All right, so this whole Internet realm of entertainment, I would, I would feel comfortable, I feel comfortable saying that it has brought about more societal harm than good. I think the social media realm and the gaming community and these online chat rooms, broadly speaking, has brought about more harm than good in society, specifically American society. And I think if we did a formal study looking At the data of cultural trends and whether people are better off before or after this era of the Internet, I'll almost guarantee you it's going to prove what I'm saying here. And there's this, yes, the Internet has brought about a lot of things that are beneficial to society. And you know, we could go through a list of those. But this, this world of the Internet and online chat rooms and social media where people say things that they definitively would not say in person and there's no accountability. To me, it has created this, this alternative universe that is putting people, that is allowing people to go to very, very dark places. And we can, you can look At teenagers that have committed suicide after spending too much time online. it's just not good. And there's this common thread here of these mass shooters and the amount of time that they spend isolated and online. And so I'm just making an assessment. you know, obviously the Internet is everywhere, literally everywhere. And we're, we're opening up Pandora's box of AI for better or worse. But I just want to encourage people to spend less time on the Internet, less time on the Internet, less time in these, these echo chambers is what they are. And this, yes, it is true that these echo chambers do exist in conservative circles and left wing circles. That's a fact. Now the left wingers are the ones that are actually resorting to violence, not the conservatives. But the echo chamber culture exists within multiple ideologies and it's a problem. And even, not even, not even if we set the extreme examples of mass shooters aside. Even the, even the online culture of social media and people saying things on Facebook and X and YouTube, personal insults to people that they know, people that are in their inner circles, that they wouldn't say in any other setting, any other in person setting. And so this Is, just something that I think our society is going to continue to have to grapple with. And, parents are going to have to be way more intentional about how much time we're allowing young people to spend online if we're allowing them to spend any time At all online, Especially in these wild environments of unmoderated, chat rooms, gaming, environments. I mean, we made you aware of Roblox and the dangers there. That's just scratching the surface. And so, But it's a common occurrence. It's a common theme that, the Internet is, kind of the ground in which is allowing a lot of this radicalization, to fester.
Frank Turek talks about Charlie Kirk and spiritual warfare on American Family Radio

In this case, he's bringing a tsunami of good. Look around. You're seeing it. And if you think of martyrdom is going to stop this movement. Well, we all know Charlie was inspirational, but Erica Kirk is a force of nature. You're gonna see her later today. In fact, I know what's going on in the spiritual realm right now. Every morning. Morning. Erica gets up, the devil shrieks, oh, no. She's awake again. And ladies and gentlemen, let's honor Jesus, let's honor Charlie, let's honor Erica. so that when we wake up every morning, the devil shrieks, oh, no, they're awake again. They're born again.
>> Walker Wildmon: Well, there you have it. That's, Frank Turek actually, speaking At the memorial of Charlie Kirk and very powerful. And it shows the caliber of people and believers that Charlie Kirk had in his inner circle. Charlie Kirk was continually being renewed and, and matured in his faith. That's a fact. And I think the trajectory of turning point today, bears that out. It bears that out. And, this is, as we mention all the time, this is a spiritual battle and America has been a beacon of hope, liberty, freedom and justice for the past 250 years. We have been the number one propagator of the gospel for the last probably about 250 years. And if you don't think that Satan has a vested interest in bringing America down and continually drawing America into spiritual darkness, then you're not paying attention to the context of human history that we're currently living in. This is a spiritual battle. We'll be back.

Chris Woodward joins American Family Radio to discuss the economy this week
>> Walker Wildmon: Welcome to the Core here on American Family Radio. Walker Wildmon here with you. Glad to have you back with us on this edition. Last segment now underway, Chris Woodward is with us from American Family News as he is in each Friday. Chris, welcome back.
>> Chris Woodward: Thank you.
>> Walker Wildmon: Busy few news week. Busy few weeks in the news, Chris. And you guys are covering it all [email protected] the, economic news there, for a few weeks was looking a little dicey. Yeah, jobless, numbers were weak, and they may still be weak. That may not be improving yet. we had a ton of revisions through the Bureau of Labor Statistics, way off on their projected jobs numbers over the last really 18 months. but GDP, is looking pretty good, right?
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, we had a better than expected 3.8% for the months between April and June, or April, May and June, I should say. the Commerce Department thought we would see somewhere in the neighborhood of around 3.3%. So this was a better than expected number. And what's interesting here is that this was the third revision. There are three revisions for every GDP number. This was the third revision. And generally, as revisions go along, the revisions get smaller. And so for it to grow half a point, is pretty big news. As a matter of fact, one economist named, Preston Brashers At the Heritage foundation told me these are good numbers for the gdp. He would, describe the economy as, quote, solid right now.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, I knew Chris, I didn't think that things could get worse under Trump than they were under Biden. Meaning, basically we were kind of At the bottom. And I think with all of the measures that President Trump was taking, it was going to be hard for things to stay bad or get worse. and so it's right in line with probably what we were thinking. and we have the tax cuts going into effect, in January, the extension, permanency, of the tax cuts. But GDP is. This was an upward revision which you noted before the show is unusual. Usually we're getting, they kind of over hype it and then they ran it back in. but upwards revision is almost unheard of.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah. And definitely for it to be this high, that's something we haven't seen in a few years. I think Biden maybe had like one good quality quarter during his time in office. so Trump, for all the talk out there that Donald Trump is going to enter office and ruin the economy, that's laughable At this point. We're all still here. there's food in the pantry. Granted, it may still be more expensive than we prefer. We still have gas. people are still going out, buying things and enjoying life. And the stock market, for Those with a 401k, yes, it has its down days, but it's doing very well. So, things are better than people who didn't want Donald Trump in office. Wanted you to, you know, believe At this point.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, that's right, Chris. The, Federal Reserve Governor, Lisa Cook, one of multiple governors, has been accused of mortgage fraud by the Federal Housing, agency, I believe, the gentleman's name. Pult. Bill Pult. That's Pulte. That's I'm thinking about. He uncovered, he's basically heading up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac based essentially, and was appointed by Trump. He was the one that sent the criminal referral to the Department of Justice alleging mortgage fraud by Lisa Cook. Now I believe on At least one residence, maybe two. And Lisa Cook has yet to refute, the allegation, that I'm aware of. She has yet to say I did not commit mortgage fraud. And here's why, Jerome Powell hasn't either. I mean no one that we're aware of has credibly refuted the claim, the allegation and it really, Chris, sends a signal to me, it's very concerning to me that mortgage fraud from a Federal Reserve governor has been alleged and it hasn't been refuted. And none of the others, in the, in the governor seats, or the chairman has said, yes, I think she should step down.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, it says a lot here and certainly it gets us to the age old argument, which I think is the correct argument, that when you're in government and you allegedly do something wrong or you're found guilty of doing something wrong, they basically just kind of tap you and go, oh, you shouldn't have done that. Whereas if you're a private citizen, they bury you under the jail and throw the book At you.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, exactly. And it's one thing if Lisa Cook comes out and says, yeah, I did it. I committed mortgage. Technically, I committed mortgage fraud, but here's the 7 reason why it doesn't matter. Right. Whatever. you know, people do this every day. That'll be what some people say. but if you and I do it, to your point, unacceptable.
>> Chris Woodward: Go to jail.
>> Walker Wildmon: so I don't know what kind of, you know, talking points she could come up with to make it sound not as bad as it is. but. And then say, you know, this doesn't affect my duties as governor, so I'm going to remain. Blah, m, blah, blah. But now she's fighting her termination in court and allowed to stay on while this is pending litigation, which, Chris, to me, that's very concerning because historically the courts have given deference to the president as the chief executive. Pending litigation, meaning she's off the job. But she could be reinstated later by the court. But. But this, she stays on and could later be fired, depending on what the court says, to me, is a very dangerous precedent.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, it definitely, you know, whatever happens with her can and will impact, somebody else's argument down the road. That's one thing that people need to realize, and I think this is probably a failure by myself and other people in news, sometimes we fail to really kind of pass that on to the listener or the reader, that what happens with this person can and will impact you or someone else in a similar situation. And that's why it would be good if we got a clear cut, no more, not again kind of ruling here or a policy, because in a fallen world, things like this, you know, statistically speaking, can and will happen again.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah. So we'll continue to track this, but I don't know how Lisa Cook hangs on, not just through the court litigation, but you can't continue to basically ignore is what she's doing, the credible allegation of mortgage fraud as a Fed governor, continue to ignore that and expect it to not just come back to haunt you down the road. so we'll see where that goes. But President Trump's gonna get a replacement for Powell, and could get a couple more replacements pretty soon over the next 12 to 24 months. And I think he's gonna turn the Fed in his favor whether they like it or not.
>> Chris Woodward: I'm curious, to really see, you know, who his future, appointments are. And to be honest, with you, for these people that might be appointed for something that needs Senate confirmation. That again brings us back to something we've talked about on the show several times in the last few weeks. the midterm election is really, really important. I know a lot of people go 20, 28, but 2026 paves the way for what we're even going to be talking about in 2027 and 2028. Yeah, which is why everybody needs to be, be paying attention to these issues, even the deep in the weeds things that might involve GDP numbers or federal policies. again that's probably something that I need to do a better job of explaining to people. But the economic issues that we talk about in this show, the so called pocketbook issues, are the issues that impact everything, and bring people to the ballot box.
Britt Hume: President Trump has changed his tone about Ukraine war with Russia
>> Walker Wildmon: Let me ask you this. Well, let's shift the subject a little bit and talk about President Trump's UN visit this week, his speech, his what appears to be attempted sabotage on his visit there with the escalator and the teleprompter and the sound, the, the war in Ukraine and Russia. The war in Ukraine that Russia is waging against Ukraine is still going on some three plus years down the road. And President, Trump has recently verbalized his frustration with Vladimir Putin because President Trump to his credit has tried, he has tried to cut a deal with Russia and Ukraine and get them At the table. he had the summit in Alaska, brought European leaders over from, to the White House the day after or two days after. But I want to play a clip of Brit Hume and then we'll talk about this. But the President clearly is changing the way he talks about Russia and he's becoming a little more combative and a little more aggressive. So let's listen to Brit Hume's assessment. This is going to be clip six.
>> Britt Hume: It certainly is a switch from the position that President Trump earlier took with regard to Ukraine's prospects in the war with Russia. You recall, and you actually played the clip earlier where he was saying to President Zelensky, you remember back in February that they, that Ukraine had no cards to play. and he At times has accused Zelensky and Ukraine of starting the war. He's changed his tune completely now he says not only that, that they can win the war and drive Russia out of the territory it has conquered since the invasion. that is a strikingly different thing to say. And he's now been belittling Russia's military power as you know, as a military operation that has failed to gain any significant ground, in quite some time. At the same time, though, Brad, I think it's worth noting that what he is talking about, happening now, apart from selling weapons through NATO, which costs the United States nothing, and might even make money to the United States, is not anything new here. You know, there's been talk of new sanctions on Russia. There's been talk about kicking them out of the international banking system, secondary sanctions, against China, perhaps. It's. So there are some against India. But beyond that, the president didn't really promise to do anything. He's just changed his tune about the possible outcome of the war.
>> Walker Wildmon: So, Chris, this is, I don't know what Vladimir Putin wants out of this, other than maybe some say, maybe he wants territory or land or guarantees that NATO doesn't come on his border more than they already are. but the fact that President Trump and his team haven't been able to bring this thing to an end shows that this is a very difficult situation, because Trump has thrown everything At this.
>> Chris Woodward: He does. And, you know, he did say, I mean, to be fair, when he was running for president, he talked about how this wouldn't have started, if he were president. he has talked about how he could quickly bring it into this. And obviously that's, not been. That hasn't happened. Yeah, I think he has tried.
>> Walker Wildmon: Not from lack of effort, though.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, that's the thing. Like, he has tried. And really, I mean, going back to the Biden administration, how many times did Biden and the world powers tell us that they were going to defund, Putin's war machine and bring it into this war? Clearly, that didn't work. I think that only emboldened Putin that much more. It's definitely all the more reason why we need to be in prayer for the President and his team here, to not only have wisdom, but be successful in this effort. No one wants the war to continue. And certainly we don't want Russia to start, looking At people beyond Ukraine's, you know, countries beyond Ukraine, as, you know, as part of some sort of retaliation.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, and I was skeptical of this. I was skeptical. I've been skeptical of Ukraine and their motives. I'm talking about the leadership. I'm not talking about the people of Ukraine. I think that there were some missteps early on, pre war, where Ukraine was. Was becoming too emboldened. Yes. I'm talking about Ukraine too emboldened and too risky and too aggressive for Putin's appetite, I think, with, we were running State Department and CIA operations there. We, had FBI there, you know, military, non, non lethal, non armed military there in Ukraine. And so, and then there was this persistent talk about Ukraine joining NATO. I mean, it was just like all the time. This is pre war. And so I think there was some missteps and, and, and where diplomatic means could have calmed things down, but Biden's team didn't do that. And so here we are now. but, but after three years of this war and the, the, the death that it has brought about, Vladimir Putin clearly is not Mr. Innocent either. and the fact that President Trump, who is a pretty good mediator and middleman, if you will, here, has tried to get Putin to the table to end this, it's really, I think it's going to turn on Putin because there was a time where people were skeptical of Ukraine. We're like, what are they doing with all of our money? They're one of the most corrupt Western nations ever. And I mean, they're like, number one as far as Western developed nations and corruption, pre war. And so what's going on with the billions of dollars? You know, Zelensky is thumping his chest like he's giddy about war. Lindsey Graham keeps going over there like it's his birthday. Like there was just a lot of weird stuff going on. that wasn't very sobering that it should be. but I think the more this goes on, the more that Putin is actually going to push Trump into NATO's lap, in my opinion.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, it's definitely to go back to, one of your points here, that Trump was, kind of banking on people turning against Putin here. Trump, did talk about Russia's economy, in recent days and how it's not in good shape. And obviously the people are going to have an issue with that. Putin has been described as somebody that's paranoid. so I don't know what he might do in the way of ensuring that he could stay in office. Certainly you had that, recent pow wow that Putin, was a part of with the leader of China and also North Korea, who always looks for some sort of reason to flex, his muscles, if he has any. And, so, you know, that's very concerning. There's a lot of instability or potential instability there. I could see China, doing some things to ensure Putin could stay in power and have some weapons and whatnot. North Korea has already been a part of that effort against, Ukraine. I don't know what the solution is. Obviously, it has proven to be a very difficult situation. A solution might be Ukraine will not be a member of NATO. You can have some land, but nothing beyond this point. But who's to say Putin is not going to wake up next month and go, you know what? I still want that.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, I agree. And recently, Chris, you've had Russian, aircraft, whether it be unmanned or manned, entering NATO airspace. Poland, Denmark. Oh, yeah, you know this. And President Trump said, and I don't, I don't blame him, he said, shoot them down. I mean, if they're in your airspace, they're not in Ukrainian airspace. You got to shoot them down.
>> Chris Woodward: The problem is they need to do more and not depend on, us to fix everything.
>> Walker Wildmon: That's a fact. 100%. Thanks, Chris.
