Rick Green: Freedom of the press trumps all other rights in Constitution
>> Rick Green: Welcome back to CORE with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green. I'm Rick Green, America's Constitution coach. And. Wow. Been doing this 30 years, teaching on the Constitution, studying the Constitution, studying the founding fathers, diving into all that. I learned so much this weekend. I did not realize that as long as you had a press badge or you just claimed to be a member of the press, all. All rules are gone. Like, I didn't. I just. I didn't see that part in the Constitution. I didn't realize right there in the First Amendment that it says that if you are a member of the press, that freedom of the press means you can walk into anybody's church, anybody's meeting, maybe just into Congress. Hey, what. What about state legislatures across the country? You know, you just walk right out on the House floor, take the microphone away from the speaker of the House, and say, I'm Don Lemon. I'm a member of the press. My free speech and my freedom of the press trumps all of your rights as a property owner, as a person exercising your freedom of religion in the First Amendment, your right to assemble. No, no, no. All those things, that. That's secondary because I'm part of the press. I mean, granted, I'm no longer really a reporter. I'm just kind of a pseudo reporter, sort of a, you know, pseudo journalist. But, you know, my goal is to make you uncomfortable and to intimidate you. And, and so, you know, that's more important than all of those other rights you have. I just. I didn't know that. So, hey, I'm learning. You know, apparently it's all fluid. Apparently, it's not actually written down anywhere. There's no actual Constitution in stone. It's Just whatever, you know, the reporter of the day feels like. I mean, it must be true because everybody's cheering for Don Lemon at the. What was it, Grammys or Golden Globes or whatever. One of these, you know, ridiculous evenings where everybody makes themselves feel good and they clap for the most absurd causes, in the world, and they give their little speeches like they actually know something. And, I mean, I even found out that, you know, there's nobody owns the land that. That, you know, you just do whatever you want, wherever you want. So apparently, you know, Billie Eilish is giving away our $14 million estate. Ah. To some, you know, Indian tribe. I don't know. It's been a really interesting few days. I mean, I'm like, I'm thinking maybe I need to go delete all my Constitution classes. I'm thinking that law degree hanging on the wall over there is, you know, waste of three years of my life studying those things. I just cannot believe the ignorance of our country. I cannot believe the ignorance of these elites that consider themselves the gatekeepers, consider themselves so much smarter than the rest of us. I mean, they are, you know, head and shoulders above because they can act. they are, you know, somehow special because they look pretty on television, even if they're a soy boy and total, beta male. but, you know, apparently. Apparently that means, the rules don't apply to them. Now. That's if you believe the narrative out there. And that narrative is winning, folks. That narrative is absolutely being adopted by probably half the country. I, you know, I'm not in there. I try to. I try to sneak into, you know, some of their echo chambers, just kind of to listen. I try to. I try to follow people on social media that I don't agree with just so I can see what the rest of the world is thinking. I'm basically trying to live out Zig Ziglar's old advice about, you know, every morning you need to read the Bible and the NewSong York Times, and then you'll know what both sides are up to. So these days you need to watch CNN or at least follow CNN on social media. You'll know what both sides are up to. but I've been shocked, honestly. I mean, you know, when this first happened, I mean, we talked about it here on the program. Just the, importance of arresting everybody that. That, you know, barged into that church and. And violated their property rights, violated their right to assemble, vitally violated their freedom of religion, took over their facility, There. If you don't. If you don't arrest all of them, not just the three or four or whatever they've arrested so far. If you don't prosecute the most famous of them, Don Lemon. And even as he's being applauded by Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who clearly knows nothing about the First Amendment, but she's shown that in her questions and decisions court. Then again, she can't tell you what a woman is either. So I guess that's all par for the course, but I just cannot believe that people are falling for this, that they actually think this is an attack on journalism, that this is an attack on a journalist. No, no, here's how it works, folks. This is the. Here's the principle. Even more important than freedom of speech and freedom of the press and the right to assemble and the right to petition your government for a redress of. Of grievances. Even more important than that is equal protection under the law and the idea of blind justice. That we are going to treat everybody the same. That you don't get a, get out of jail free pass just because you're a pseudo journalist or a politician, but that everyone in America lives under the same laws, that we treat everybody the same. Just like the Bible says, there's neither Jew nor Greek. It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, that when you're in court, when you're under the law, you're treated the same. This is why I believe I have been completely intellectually consistent in saying that if you are attacking cops, if you are breaking windows, you deserve prosecution. I don't care if you're blm, antifa, maga, J. Sic, whatever, whatever group you're with. If you're attacking law enforcement, you should be prosecuted. If you're attacking law enforcement, you, are taking your life in your own hands. And you, you assume the risk. If you are breaking windows, tearing open doors, you assume the risk. And I've said that from throughout the summer of 2020, to January 6th, it's that afternoon and throughout, you know, the horrific, treatment of the J6 defendants. But all throughout all of these things, we've been consistent in saying if you are violent against police officers and you are the one instigating the violence, you deserve to be punished. And that doesn't change because you're a journalist or because you're a politician. If you incite a riot and if you, rally people to thwart law enforcement to get in the way of law enforcement doing their job. If you actually encourage the breaking of the law, then I don't care if you're the governor of NewSong Jersey or the Lieutenant governor of Minnesota, or you're a failed journalist even fired from the failed network of cnn. I don't care who you are. I don't care if it's me.
Don Lemon should go to jail for interrupting Minnesota church service
I should be treated the same under the law. If you're listening to this, you should be treated the same under the law. So this nonsense of, because Don Lemon's a supposed journalist, is ridiculous. And his own words prove that he was not there just to cover the event. He was there to help with the intimidation. He was there to, to interrupt that church service, not just for those people in that church, but so that the rest of the country would be uncomfortable. The people would have to worry about whether or not their church is now going to be invaded by a bunch of left wing radical activists. This is what Marxism does. This is what these people are all about. And we will not let them violate our First Amendment rights and then claim protection under the same First Amendment. It's insane. And so I am thankful that he has been charged or at least arrested. I think he's been charged. but, but he needs to be pro. He needs to go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 million or whatever. He's probably gonna get in a book deal, go directly to jail. And if he does, then we will have the opportunity to educate Americans on why he, as a pseudo journalist, doesn't have any more rights than you have or that I have. We'll be able to educate Americans. If we go prosecute this governor in NewSong Jersey, this lady that is calling on people to stop ICE from doing their job, to stop the federal government from doing one of the few things. There's only 17 things in the Constitution that the federal government is supposed to do, and deporting criminal, illegal aliens. Remember our talk last week? These are criminal plus, this is part of what they're supposed to do. And so if you're the governor of a state and you're telling your citizens to interrupt that process and don't let federal law enforcement agents do their job under the Constitution, then you should be arrested, you should be charged. I don't know if they'll go that far or not, but I'm telling you, Donald Trump does not play games. And I don't think there's any way to intimidate him out of this. I think he is in the middle of a significant negotiation. And so far I believe he's gotten the upper hand. If you look at even, even Tim Waltz and Jacob Frey, Faye, whatever, gay. Whatever his name is, you know, folding and finally letting the police partially do their job. I mean, they too should go to jail for the things that they have encouraged their own people and their own law enforcement to do or not do. Not doing their job in protecting the citizens of Minnesota and, protecting their, fellow law enforcement agents. So I m. The whole point of this first segment, what I'm trying to get across is we are all to be treated the same under the law, no matter what your career, no matter what the color of your skin, no matter which religious affiliation or none that you have, no matter which political party or none that you associate with. All of those things should be irrelevant when it comes to prosecuting and treating people the same under the law. We used to believe so much in this. We used to hold this so dear and say, equal protection under the law, due process for everyone. That blind equal justice. We used to be so proud of that. And when it didn't happen, something would rise up in us. If we saw that. That you, know, whether it was blacks in the south in the, in the, in the 60s or, or, or, you know, any politicians getting special treatment or, you know, pick your example, it would just be something that innately we knew that's not right, that's evil, that that is the opposite of a constitutional republic where we're supposed to treat everybody the same. But folks, we have had an education system for two generations now that instead of teaching the Constitution and teaching what blind justice and equal justice under the law is and, how that's a biblical form of justice and why that is righteous and good for everyone, no matter where you come from or how much money you have or any of those things. Instead we have taught social justice, which is to say you should absolutely be treated differently, dependent upon your color of skin. That if you, if you're part of a, What is it they always say? A, Historically blanket on the phrase. But it's basically if you've been. If you're people of the same color of skin or ethnic origin or education or, political persuasion or religious persuasion, if, if people 400 years ago or 100 years ago or 50 years ago were treated bad and you can somehow identify in the same group that now you get special treatment, that now you get to be treated differently, but this time in a good way. So now we're going to treat other people Bad in order to somehow even the score. In other words, what they basically have taught is that if your great, great, great, great, great grandpa or grandma was treated bad by someone that, that, that looked like my Gregor Gregory. Grandpa or grandma, then you should treat me bad in order to get back at great grandpa. I mean, that's the insanity of what we're dealing. That's what DEI is all about, what critical race theory is all about. It's literally punishing people that had nothing to do with the sins of, seven generations ago for what somebody else might have done. And in fact, they don't even care if you can prove that, that it was my great great, great grandpa or your great, great, great. They, they just say if you look like the same color of skin or come from the same region or what. That's how insane it is, folks. It is so wrong and evil and it's all designed to make us hate each other. It's all designed to create what you see in the streets of Minneapolis right now. It's the Marxist game plan to come between us, to divide us. This is why the strange alignment of these left wing, you know, whether it's the sexual proclivity groups that, that identify based on their, you know, sexual desires, somehow teaming up with Muslims who would throw them off of the nearest building if they could, or the, these, these weird coalitions coming together, it's all part of the Marxist plan to create division in our country. They get them to come together to go against the vast majority of Americans who don't agree with any of those things. And then they, by creating division, can swoop in and, eventually conquer. That's what this is all about, folks. So listen, don't fall for it. Start trumpeting the first Amendment and start trumpeting blind equal justice. Start talking about that with people and saying, well, you know, shouldn't we all be treated the same under the law? If I barge into your church and disrupt your service, shouldn't I be prosecuted for that? All right, we're going to take a quick break. Your phone calls. When we come back. 8885-898840-88858-9890. Rick Green: Apparently no one is illegal on stolen land
>> Rick Green: Welcome back to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green. I'm Rick Green, America's Constitution coach. Again. Learning. I'm learning, man. We're all, we're all students for life, right? So, apparently no one is illegal on stolen land. What a, what a concept. What a beautiful, beautiful concept. Can we just all hold hands, sing Kumbaya, put on the tie, dye shirts, and I mean, in Billie Eilish's front yard, right? Like, let's all go to California and ask her when we get to move onto her land, like, where do we set up our tent? Or which bedroom in her 14 million house do we get? Because no one's illegal on stolen land. And she's claiming this is all stolen land. So apparently we can all move in with her. I mean, I think it'll be just wonderful. It'll be just, nirvana. No one is illegal on stolen land. These people. Oh, my goodness. It's just hilarious, honestly. But it would be hilarious if it wasn't for the cheers, right? It'd be hilarious. You got to remember these people that are in this room that are cheering Don Lemon for breaking into a church and disrupting a church service and cheering this, whoever this bad bunny guy is, apparently the super bowl is going to be disgusting this year. the, the, the halftime show. So don't even watch it. Don't give them the pleasure. Don't give them the ratings. But, but, but apparently all of these absurd things that get said and get cheered, don't forget who's cheering. These are the people that control the entertainment of our nation and are feeding the minds of most Americans. You, got to understand, the high priest of the law in America for the last 40 years have been the entertainment executives. They have controlled the value system taught to most people. We don't teach the values anymore in education unless you're homeschooling or private schooling. The values taught in the public school are horrific. So what happens is people get most of their convictions, their strongly held beliefs from a movie, from a television show. They are masters at making the music and the drama and the story all lead to this epiphany moment. And you're sitting there in the movie theater or in your living room watching this on television. And you, you don't even intend to adopt this new value, but you do because you've been moved emotionally at the right time with a magical, I mean, they are masters at it moment. And, and all of a sudden now you believe things about stolen land or about, you know, abortion or m. Homosexuality or whatever it is. And all of a sudden your convictions change because they are so good at it. They're so good at it. And for the longest time we didn't have any competition to it. Now we're finally catching up a little bit with just a small, small, small fraction of that market with Vidangel and some of these others out there that are starting to produce some pretty decent entertainment that does the same thing that teaches a good value. You know, I've been yelling for years about man. Why are we not telling some of these biblical stories that are so dramatic and so powerful in a, in a high quality way to where you can teach those same good values from the Bible, with those stories? Anyway, my point is that the people that are cheering for this stupidity of no one is illegal on stolen land. And some of these other statements that were made are, you know, we can laugh about it and we can say they're, they're, they're irrelevant or whatever, but they're not. These are the people entertaining your children. If you're letting your children watch those things and entertaining us. If we're watching those things and if they're entertaining you, they're educating you, they don't. There are, there are very few movies or television shows anymore that are pure, just like mind numbing entertainment. Most all of them have an agenda and they use that movie or that whatever it is to, to, you know, make capitalism bad. That if you're hardworking and you build up a business, you must have been an evil, greedy person. And they're gonna make, they're, they're going to make you look like that anyway.
Hillary Clinton's attack on Allie Beth Stuckey is ridiculous
All right, I'll stop with all of that. I just couldn't help it. What a, what a ridiculous headline. I hope to get to. Let me at least throw this out there. But I want to go to the phones on some of the subjects we've already talked about. while they're there, I do want to get to Hillary Clinton's attack on Allie Beth Stuckey. Because first, of all, Allie Beth is one of the most important voices in America right now. This galaxy is so talented and so anointed. The Holy Spirit is all over her. I'M telling you, she has a gift for responding to the, to the tough topics of the day in such a good way. She's great. And she's, you know, just, I'm so thankful for her. She's spoken at Patriot Academy several times. her, her platform has just exploded as a result of, of just being so good at what she does. And honestly, she's, you know, Charlie Kirk was the best while he was living. I think she's probably the best now at being able to articulate biblical values in a way that people can understand it and that people that don't share our biblical values yet are willing to listen and be impacted by it. And so that's why Hillary's attacking her, clearly. So we'll come back to that one in just a second. Let's head to the phones for a little bit and then we'll come back to that headline.
If we let one right go, the rest of them will fall away
let's go to Brad in Texas. Brad in Texas, you are up first, man. Go ahead.
>> Brad: Hey, how are you doing, Rick?
>> Rick Green: Doing great, brother. How about you?
>> Brad: man, if I was doing any better, I'd have to be twins. I love it the floor this morning. There's air in my lungs. God is great.
>> Rick Green: Amen. Amen. I love the gratitude, bro.
>> Brad: Hey, as a multi tour combat veteran, and as a Christian, there's not a greater. I don't know the word to say. There's not. I'm torn. Yeah, I'm torn between two, because I want to take care of the rights that we have. If we let one right go, the rest of them will just fall away. And it's a very slippery slope. So if we lose one, you can expect the rest of them to follow suit. That's why we have to stay vigilant. We have to stay in our, in our prayer closet daily, sometimes multiple times in a day, and take the fight to the enemy. And I'm not talking about left and right, I'm talking about God versus the enemy.
>> Rick Green: Yeah, just good and evil at this point. Right and truly right and wrong. and to your point, if you give up ground, if you cede ground on one of these especially fundamental rights like freedom of speech and freedom of religion and obviously our. Yes. Freedom of the press and right to assemble. I mean these fundamental, the five in the first Amendment, if you give up on the second Amendment, if you lose the second amendment and the right to protect yourself and to fight off a tyrannical government, you lose all of the other other rights. And, and the left knows this and that's why they. They couch these things in these terms like they're. They're trying to make us think that it's a violation of freedom of the press to prosecute someone claiming to be the press while they violate your freedom of assembly and your property rights and your freedom of religion and everything else. And they're trying to pit one right against the other when actually it has nothing to do with freedom of the press. It has everything to do with whether or not you're. You have a. A right to be on that land or in that room or in that church. And, you know, the idea that, of course, with Marxists, everything belongs to everybody, which means nobody owns anything. And so even if you kind of combine this, this Billie Eilish person and the note, you know, stolen land comment with the Don Lemon actions and comments, they all fall into this idea of socialism that we all own everything and no one has individual rights. Which is, to Brad's point, you give up that individual right to keep and bear arms, you give up that individual right of private property ownership or due process or to be treated equally under the law, you give up those rights, and you are on the slippery slope. That is going to be a cliff very quickly, to socialism and the Marxist takeover of America. And the thing about. My friend Mark Mechler says it this way, and even in 2020, when things started getting really bad and tyrannical and of our country, he says the thing about. And the word he used at the time was, was fascism. All of these isms kind of, kind of meld together at some point, and we're getting. We're getting interesting versions of these things even today. But he said the thing about it is it comes on really, really slow until all of a sudden it's fast. It's like it's creeping up on us. They're making headway in the education system, they're making headway in the. In the political realm and the entertainment realm. And then. And then all of a sudden, it's everywhere, all the time. It's massive protests and marching in the streets and taking over. I mean, it comes on fast. And we saw that in 2020 for sure. And then throughout the Biden auto pen administration. and then we've seen a reprieve over the last year. And, you know, honestly, for the last year, in 2025, people were saying, like, where's the left? You know, they're ducking down in the trench. And I made the point that, yeah, right now they're just regrouping we haven't defeated them. We've stopped their advance, but we haven't defeated them. We have to defeat them. You have to win the war of ideas. You have to actually win enough Americans back to the principles of capitalism, of limited government, of these individual rights that we're talking about, of the timeless truths of marriage and the family unit and the sanctity of life. You have to start winning these ideas with the majority of the people and you. And that's a battle, man. That's a constant battle. And that's where Allie Beth Stuckey comes in. But before I get to her, let's take one more call, and then I'll talk about Allie Beth and this attack from, from Hillary. So let's go to Florida. George, you're up next, man. Go ahead.
>> Conni: Yeah.
>> Conni: Hi, Rick. How you doing?
>> Rick Green: Yeah.
>> Conni: Yes, Rick, I think, number one, Hakeem Jeffries has got to go number two.
>> Rick Green: Yeah, go ahead. Good.
>> Conni: Because. Well, you see why he wants Kristi Noem out of the way. And I don't think Kristi Noem should be impeached. They're doing the right thing in Minnesota.
>> Rick Green: Yeah, no doubt. No doubt they are. Only.
>> Conni: Do I think that.
>> Conni: What.
>> Rick Green: What would be the. Well, I don't. I haven't followed enough of Hakeem Jeffries to know, like, what would be the reason to kick him out of the House? Like, what would be your, argument that. That he's, he's, you know, violated the Constitution or done something that deserves being kicked out? And he may have. I just don't. I don't know. I haven't followed this one.
>> Conni: No, because, you know, he's anti Trump and he's on the side of the left, and he's on the side of Antifa and blm.
>> Rick Green: Okay, but that's not enough to kick him out of the House. I mean, if he's. If he's speaking to, you know, just saying that he. Well, I guess if he's. If he's supporting illegal activity, maybe get to new. I'm getting too nuanced here. I just haven't seen that there's an. And it wouldn't be necessarily impeachment with him. The House can actually vote to remove a member. They've. They've done that a couple of times in the last couple years. But, But. But, I mean, I'd be interested in knowing what the case would be against him. Right. That's what I'm trying to say is let's not just kick somebody out because they you know, are against what we're for. And there may be. I honestly, you know, there's no telling what the guy has said, even on the House floor that might be worth removing him. Maybe I'm missing it. but before we go to break, let me, Let me hit this article.
Hillary Clinton attacked Allie Beth Stuckey over toxic empathy
So, so here's what happened. Hillary Clinton, did this, you know, attack on Allie Beth Stuckey. Now, if you're not familiar with Allie Beth, she's, She's phenomenal. Relatable is the name of her show. You should go watch her. Okay. Okay. But she had this book out about toxic empathy. Let's see if I can find the full title here. Toxic Empathy. How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion. And the whole idea behind the book is you have these Christian pastors and, evangelists, at least they use the Christian term. They claim to be Christians. And then they go, push for anti biblical positions based on, you know, feeling sorry for someone or that supposedly it's compassionate to support someone in their sin. And so Allie best point is that's toxic empathy. Your empathy for someone is now causing you to support sin and to support things that actually end up hurting the person in the long run and hurt the culture is, is the essence of her position and what she's been saying. So Hillary Clinton comes out, says, that she, as a Christian, Hillary Clinton now claiming Christianity as, as her badge of why she can now attack Allie Beth Stuckey. and, and. And that somehow Allie Beth's view of Christianity is distorted, and that it's a war on empathy. Okay, that's, that's Clinton's, you know, position. And so Clinton. This is, By the way, this is in the. If you go to the blaze.com the article is called Hillary's Attack Backfires. Allie Bestucky tells Glenn Beck that Clinton's hit piece is a badge of honor. Candace Hathaway did this, article today. So Stuckey goes on in the, in the interview, with Glenn Beck to explain, I guess this was actually this morning, that that actually it's a badge of honor to be attacked by, by Hillary Clinton. you know, the. Clinton is positioning herself as an authority on Jesus teaching despite admitting that she has, quote, never been one to wear my faith on my sleeve. you know, I would argue, as Allie Beth has, that Hillary, Clinton is, the last person that should be taking the Christian position in her, in her attack on someone else. I mean, this has been. Hillary Clinton's been one of the biggest proponents of Abortion and gay marriage and all these things that are anti biblical. so, Allie Beth explains it this way. She says, quote, they talk about things like toxic masculinity. And what they'll say is that not all masculinity is toxic, but this form of masculinity is toxic. And yet when I talk about toxic empathy, they pretend that I say that all compassion is toxic and bad. And that's of course not what Allie Beth is saying. so anyway, she goes on to explain, you know, if you concentrate on feelings, then reason shuts down. That was Glenn Beck statement, which is true. you have all these people that I think they're actually thinking they're doing the right thing, but they've shut down the thinking process so deeply that they're just trapped. And, and that is really the essence of it. You have people that are so into their feelings, they can't think anymore. They can't think logically, they can't think biblically. And so Glenn Beck actually asked her, asked Allie Beth, how do you reverse this? And she said, I think this is smart. We need to tell the story that's on the other side of every issue. Sometimes people need to see that there's another side of the story that demands your heart as well. So with abortion, you tell the story from the baby's perspective. this is what would have happened to this baby had there not been a pro life law in Texas. And so she goes through and talks about those things and, and you do that with every issue. I think this is so important. Too many Christians are being led astray by their feelings. They're taking a position based on how they feel, not on base, based on what the Bible actually says. They're following their feelings. Even this whole idea of follow your heart, that's not biblical. You're. Your. Your heart is going to lead you astray. The heart is evil. No man can know it. That's Jeremiah 17,9. So anyway, Allie Beth, way to go. I applaud you for your courage, and I am thankful that Hillary Clinton attacked you because all it's going to do is raise your platform even more and show you to be the logical one, the biblical one. Definitely not Hillary Clinton. All right, More when we come back from the break. Your phone calls at 888-589-8840. That's 888-589-884. >> Bobby Roza: We're living in a time when truth is under attack. Lies are Easy to tell, easy to spread, and easy to believe. But truth. Truth is costly. And nowhere is the cost greater than from others in crisis. When a woman is told abortion is her only option, silence and lies surround her. But when she walks into a PreBorn Network clinic, she's met with compassion, support, and the truth about the life growing inside her. That moment of truth happens through a free ultrasound, and it's a game changer. When a mother sees her baby and hears that heartbeat, it literally doubles the chance she'll choose life. PreBorn Network clinics are on the front lines, meeting women in their darkest hour, loving them, helping them choose life, and sharing truth. Friend, this is not a time to be silent. It's a time for courage, for truth, for life. Just $28 provides one ultrasound and the opportunity for a mother to see her baby. To help her choose truth and life, donate today. Call £250 and say baby. That's £250, baby. Or give [email protected] afr that's preborn.com afr.

Looks like the budget bill is headed to Trump's desk
>> Rick Green: Welcome back to at the Core with Walker, Walmart Greene Armor Green, America's Constitution Coach. You can call in right now at 888-589-8840. That's 888-589-8840. Looks like the budget bill is headed to Trump's desk. man, boy, we could do good, the bad and the ugly here. You know, Johnson's got. Speaker Johnson has an impossible task with this, you know, handful of vote majority. I too think that the SAVE act should have been in this. So I share those of you that are concerned about that, and, and that's what the real, conservatives in the House were trying to get into this bill so that we could actually require voter ID and have elections we could count on and know that they couldn't, be stolen again. apparently the Senate is going to take it up, take up the SAVE act, and we'll finally get a vote on it. You know, that was part of the deal. But these are empty promises, in my opinion, so that's very, very disappointing. but I understand if you can't get there, you can't get there. You got to, gotta do the best you can with what you got, where you are and what votes you actually have. And so apparently this deal still lost. A couple of dozen Republicans have picked up a couple dozen Democrats. No telling what they promised them or gave them in the bill. So some of that ugly will Come out as people, you know, comb through this, this bill. But, four days of a shutdown, once again, big deal, right? Let's shut down more of the government more often, in my opinion. But, but here we go. So they're back to, these funding bills and, at least we can keep deporting criminal, illegal aliens. that's the number one issue, from the Trump campaign and the Trump presidency. And if they don't press the gas on that, we will lose the midterms. Folks, I'm just going to repeat it once again. Press the gas on the deportations, every illegal alien. And then also make sure, I mean, not only should you be pressing the gas on that and making sure that you've got states that can be safe havens, there can be places where you get rid of all the illegal aliens that you possibly can working with law enforcement in those states. And, but then you've also got to bring back Elon Musk. You got to bring back Doge, you got to make the big, big cuts, the big, big fraudulent, you know, reduction, moves that get these things where, you know, there's no reason that the federal government should be involved in daycare. That's how you end up with all these billions of dollars in fraud. There's no reason that the federal government should be providing housing for people across the country. You have, you know, billions of dollars in fraud on that. I mean, you pick the department. There's billions of dollars in fraud. Most of those things the Fed should not be doing in the first place. And the only way you're going to get rid of these big programs and send them back to the states and, and, and stop collecting the money in the first place. The only way that's going to happen is if you follow some of these huge Doge cuts. Now, I'll tell you, there, There is a, there is something that was buried in the big, beautiful bill last year that is going to kick in in January of 2027, that that is the right way to do this. And what I mean by this is you bypass the fraudulent vehicles. So all of this fraud that's happening in every department of the federal government is because the money goes to Washington first. They get to monkey with it, play around with it, pay off all their buddies, scratch everybody's back, and then supposedly send the money back to the states. And, then there's more fraud there when it gets there because of the channels that it goes through. So what you do is you, you put in Mechanisms where the money never goes to Washington in the first place. And that's one of the things that's, that's going to happen starting in January of 2027 with this tax credit for scholarships in education. It's basically a competition school choice, mechanism that, that Trump put in the bill. Thank you Ted Cruz for saving that and get, and making sure it stayed in the bill or got put back in the bill at the last minute. And what's going to happen, and I'll be talking a lot more about this in the next, in the next few months and throughout 2026 so that you're prepared to take advantage of this in January 2027. Nothing you can do about it right now in 2026 yet. But what's going to happen is you'll be able to do up to seventeen hundred dollars of a tax credit. That means dollar for dollar. This is not a deduction. The difference being a deduction is, you know, let's say you made $100,000 for easy math, in 2026 and you get a deduction of 1700. Well, you take the 1,700 off of the 100,000 and then pay taxes on what's left. So it's not really dollar for dollar. It might save you a $1,700 deduction, might save you four or five hundred dollars in actual taxes. A tax credit is saving you the full $1,700. So let's say, you make 100,000. Let's say after all your deductions and whatever you do on your taxes, you end up owing $10,000 total for the year in taxes. So maybe if you're, if you're a 1099 business person, none of that's been paid yet. Or maybe you're a regular employee and it's been withheld from your check every two weeks and so you've paid it throughout the year. But let's just say for easy math, you owe 10,000 in taxes. You get to send 1700 of that directly to a scholarship program and the federal government never sees it. And then you only pay 8,300 in actual taxes. So for, for, for most people that would totally make sense. Wouldn't you rather send the money to Patriot Academy and Scholarship a kid to attend Patriot Academy than send that money to Washington D.C. wouldn't you rather send that $1700 to your local private school and scholarship a, ah, kid to attend a private school instead of a public indoctrination camp known as a public school, then send that money to Washington D.C. of course you would. And so I think this is a huge game changer. There's no limit on it. There's no cap on, on the number of people that can do it or how much money you make, whether or not you get that tax credit. All of us can do it. So even if you only, even if you only owe $1,000 in taxes, wouldn't you rather send all thousand dollars to Patriot Academy and educate people on the Constitution in 5th grade or 8th grade or whatever it is and none of it to Washington D.C. anyway, be expecting me to talk a whole lot more about that and actually start sending you to our website where you can prepare for that for January of 2027. Doesn't kick in until then. So. Yes, yes. If we lose the Congress, they will eventually probably take that out. I don't know if they'll be able to, get it in the next couple of Trump budgets. So we might get a couple years of this 2027, 2028. Absolutely. For certain. And then hopefully we keep Congress and we replace President Trump with President, J.D. vance or President DeSantis or President Rubio, whoever it is. And, and we keep this for, years to come because it's a major game changer in how we educate in this country. And how many kids have an opportunity to get educated instead of indoctrinated?
More Tennesseans died for me at the Alamo than any other state
All right, let's go Back to the phones. 888-589-8840. That's 888-589-8840. Conni's up next. In the great state of Tennessee. And I say it's a great state partially because I have a wonderful, sister and brother in law and nephew, and nieces that live there, but also because Tennesseans died for me at the Alamo. More Tennesseans than from any other state. So anyway, I love the state of Tennessee.
Conni was transferring some credits to Liberty University to study counseling
All right, Connie, go ahead. You're up next.
>> Conni: Yes. good afternoon. I'm 67 years old and I was transferring some credits over to Liberty University because I wanted to go to a school that honored Christian values and the Christian worldview, which I called and I'm told they did. I was in the clinical mental health program and to my shock, one of my first assignments was, you know, in writing, giving marital counseling to a gay couple. I emailed my professor and told her I could no more do that than I could a thruffle or other things. I said this, this goes against the word of God.
>> Rick Green: Yeah.
>> Conni: At any rate, I Started to some of the assignments. One of the assignments, again, was, you know, they're looking at what you're uncomfortable with. Like, and I put, you know, gay. You know, giving marital counseling or relationship counseling to gays, or putting a child into a gay home. And believe me, I have compassion on the LGBT community because there's been so much trauma when they were children. But at the same time, a lot of things that are being done that are harming our children. At any rate, what was put in the assignment was, what work do you have to do? And it's like, no, it's not what worked. As we as Christians have to do, we are being told we need to bracket what they call our convictions, which means your values. You don't. What they call impose them. We are supposed to do education. Okay. If a young woman wants to have an abortion, I would try to educate her on fetal development as well as, you know, the psychological trauma of what happens when a woman gets abortion. And also, you know, the other options that are available. But we're told, no, you don't impose your values. They want us to affirm gay marriage, gender. Gender identity. And there was even something about euthanasia that, as counselors, we have to be able to speak about that. If someone wants to, like, they're, you know, an elderly person, they want to have euthanasia, and they mentioned, like, someone is intractable pain. Well, I was a hospice nurse. Let me tell you something. When you're in hospice, if you have a good nurse, you are not in pain. This is a Christian university. I pulled out. Well, is there anything to prove it?
>> Rick Green: Connie, let me ask you this, because I know Liberty is, You know, my oldest son got his degree from Liberty. I love Liberty, and, and, you know, encourage people to go there. So I'm curious about this. I do. I do recognize that. That a university that has, you know, 110,000 students or whatever it is, I think it's 20,000 on site in person, but then online, another, you know, roughly a hundred thousand. when you have that many, it's. It's, you got a lot of professors and a lot of professors that are just online and. And, you know, there's a lot of hiring and firing, and sometimes you, you know, people slip through the cracks. So I'm curious about this class. Do you know if this is, Is this, across the board, this particular class, for every student studying what you're studying? Is it potentially a rogue professor? What more can you tell me?
>> Conni: Well, I pulled out, and I Send something to everyone in the psych department, which I have not answered. I even asked my professor, would this cause problems for me getting my degree? I did not get an answer. As far as that question goes, these schools are what they call CACREP accredited. And cacrep, when you get CACREP accredited, it means you cannot impose your values. Okay. They say that, in the book it said that, you know, like the code of ethics is that if you impose your values, that's very bad. I would say, yes, it's across the board. And I would assume it's not just in the, clinical mental health. I think it's in the social work and other things. You see, I'm 67, and so I'm the kind of person. I'm not going to remain silent. I have a feeling there have been other people that may have been spoken out. And what. Oh, that's another thing. One of the books said if you're a Christian and you don't want to do this type of counseling like a gay couple, you shouldn't even be a counselor. That's what it said in the book.
>> Rick Green: Let me ask you this, too, Connie. What is the. Because I know it varies state to state, and we fought this battle in. In, several states already, where. Some states, you know, it's part of their state law, which I think is horrific. but they won't let you, counsel against, you know, transitioning or, you know, a lot of these sexual things. they literally take away your ability to just speak truth in that counseling session. And that's a lot of states. It's not just one. Or is that part of what. Why this class would teach it this way? I mean, I'm just digging here. I'm just curious. I'm.
>> Conni: I'm. I would assume that that could. That could be part of it. And like you said, not every state is that way. But you're a Christian university. I'm sorry? You are a Christian university. And so, you know, there needs to be. If you're a Christian university, you don't teach counselors that you need to counsel a gay couple, you know, marriage couple. I'm sorry, there's.
>> Rick Green: Right. They should. They should. At least. I would hope they would at least say, look, this might be the law in your state, and you've got to be careful in this and this and this.
Rick Green: Most Christian universities today are not Christian universities
But here's certainly our position, and we certainly support you, being biblical in your position. This is shameful that they would be actually teaching the opposite of the Biblical position and encouraging counselors, to, do that. So, man, I'm glad you brought awareness to it. I hope somebody's listening that's at Liberty that can bring more attention to it. And, like I said, it could be one rogue professor. It could be across the board. but thank you, Connie. Appreciate you calling in. 888-589-8840. Just a couple of minutes left with today's program. I will say this about even, not just Liberty, but any university that. And even Patriot Academy, as small as we are, with just, you know, a few dozen students and hopefully 100 students next year. I kind of understand how hard it is to get good staff, to find good professors that will teach biblically and stay true, to those biblical positions. Because part of the challenge is that most, most Christian universities today are not Christian universities. Right? You have Texas Christian University. That is not a Christian college anymore. They will even tell you on the tours it's tcu and you can make the C, a big C or a little C, depending on your own desires. Right? so we've lost in most of these universities a biblical worldview or holding true to that biblical worldview. There are exceptions, and there are a handful, Dallas Baptist University, and a handful of the schools out there, honestly, probably about a dozen left that still hold true to biblical values. And even for those schools, it is hard to stay true to that. Even their, what do they call their faculty? not advisory, but essentially the overseers of, the rest of the faculty that hold that, accountable. It's tough, man. It is tough. And that's why, you know, it is important for people like Connie to raise awareness. When you see these good schools going off the rails or a particular class in a good school, hold them accountable. Don't give them a pass just because, like, for me, I love Liberty University. Like I said, my son's a graduate, of Liberty, graduated at 17 years old with his economics degree from, from Liberty. And I recommended we have ton of Patriot Academy students that go to Liberty. And, and. And we, you know, do stuff with, with Liberty University all the time. But I'm not going to let them off the hook if they've got a class that's doing this. We're gonna, we're gonna echo, concern about that and ask them to, to investigate that. So appreciate the call. hey, listen, folks, have a great rest, of your Tuesday. Walker will be with you tomorrow. Don't forget. Walker Wildmon with you. Rick Greene here.
