John chapter 14 is about Jesus restoring right relationship with God
Well, let's turn our attention to the scripture. JOHN Chapter 14 is where we are this week. John, chapter 14. Looking at verses, six, verse six. Jesus said to Thomas in verse six, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. This is a very important point when we look at the core tenets of Christianity and the core tenets of what it takes for man to achieve salvation and ultimately achieve right relationship with the Father. And that's what the gospel is all about, is about Jesus restoring right relationship with God, with man and God. Because the fall, when you look in Genesis, the fall is what broke the bond. It broke the relationship, the right relationship with Adam and Eve and God the father. Jesus restores that. He repairs that relationship and gives, us access to the Father. Once again, that's, John 14:6. But what I want to point out is there's a lot of teachings out there, false teachings about how man, achieves eternal life or achieves access to God. And many of them are false teachings and they exclude Jesus as the only means unto salvation. Or maybe they say, well, yeah, Jesus is one of the ways unto salvation. But that's not correct, folks. John chapter 14, verse 6 makes it clear. Jesus is the only way unto salvation. Jesus is the only way unto the Father. That's, John chapter 14, verse 6.
The Save America Act ensures proof of citizenship when registering to vote
Well, the save America act, has now passed the House of Representatives that is heading over to the U.S. senate. And this is, must pass, must pass legislation in the U.S. senate. We've been pressuring the U.S. senate for the last week or so to pass this bill and pressure is building on Senator John Thune to pass the bill. This is a very important piece of legislation. It does two fundamental things when it comes to federal elections. Number one, it ensures proof of citizenship when registering to vote. It ensures proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Secondly, it ensures, it ensures voter ID when showing up to vote. So you have to have a valid government issued ID when showing up to vote. Both of these are, will go a long way in ensuring that our, federal elections are secure and have integrity. Some of you may be confused saying, well, I thought you already had to be a US citizen to vote. Well, yes, you do, that's true. But the enforcement mechanisms are non existent here. There's court rulings, there's judicial rulings in the past that have prevented states from enforcing proof, of citizenship for registration. And so the only way to right that wrong of these judicial rulings is to have Congress step in and pass a new law that clarifies that states can in fact require proof of citizenship before people register to vote. All right? And then the voter ID would simply make it uniform, a uniform standard across the board. In all 50 states, in order to vote in federal elections, you must show a valid government issued id. So that's the two, issues that are being addressed here in the Save America Act. And if we can get this through the finish line, get this to President Trump's desk. This is a big, big deal. I want to play Senator, Tuberville. This is going to be Clip four and he's on the Senate floor talking about the SAVE act, the Save America act, and why anyone with their head on right should be in favor of it. Clip 4.
>> Sen Tuberville: Why Republican politicians in Washington ignoring the mandate of 77 million American patriots. 77 million voted to get this done. Washington, D.C. we got problems where elected officials are completely out of touch and they don't listen to the people they represent. They vote for themselves. And that's gotten us in trouble. They're more concerned about getting reelected than actually doing what they promised to do on the campaign trail. It's easy to talk, but you need to follow up on what you ran on. Luckily, we still have time to get it through the finish line. One way we can do this is to get rid of the outdated 60 vote filibuster. The way it is used today has nothing to do with what it was originally intended for. Instead of the zombie filibuster of today, it's become a tool of obstruction used to overturn the will of the American people. We don't work for the Senate. We work for the American people. The filibuster was set up to allow debate and that should be happening right here. Real debate on this floor. My Democrat colleagues need to come to the floor and explain to the American people why they want illegals to vote in elections. I'd like to hear it. What's their reasoning? President Trump ran on the common sense policies of Save American act and he won also the popular vote. By the way, it's time my Republican colleagues started acting like we were in the majority. We have the power as Republicans. We currently have 53 seats in the Senate. Clearly the American people are behind us and support the American first agenda. That's exactly why 77 million people voted in 2024. And we owe it to each and every one of them to get the job done and just sit up there and look at each other. Passing legislation like the Save American act is essential for future of our country.
>> Walker Wildmon: Well, there you have it. That's Patriot. Ah, Senator Tuberville, former coach from State of Alabama. And he's exactly right. It's time to get rid of this fake filibuster. Let's make the US Senators actually debate on the Senate floor and then let's vote on a simple majority line on legislation like our founding fathers did and like every Senate, class did up until the last maybe, let's say 30 years or so since they've been, putting forth all these rules that slow down the function of the Senate. Our founding fathers never intended it to work this way. I want to be abundantly clear. The, some of these senators, including some of the Republican senators, they defend these rules. This is the most deliberative body they say on the planet we are meant to have bipartisan consensus when passing legislation. And they get all these virtue signaling excuses as to why they have to have 60 votes to get legislation through in the US Senate. But I want to be abundantly clear that, that we can say definitively based on the writings of our founding Fathers and the debate that they had at the time, that our founding Fathers never intended for legislation to need 60 votes to pass the US Senate. This was never part of the plan. And this was actually a point of contention, a debate amongst our founding Fathers as to which thresholds they wanted to require when drafting the U.S. constitution to get various items through the U.S. senate. So for example, they debated how many votes should be required in the US Senate in order to amend the Constitution and they settled on that. Two thirds, same thing in the House of Representatives. And then how many votes should we need in both chambers to impeach the President? And they had that debate and they settled on it. And how many states must ratify an amendment to the Constitution? They decided on that number. And never in those final writings did they decide that you must have 60 or 65 or 70 votes in the US Senate to simply pass legislation. And so what's being done here is not in the Constitution. I'll call it extra constitutional. It's a made up rule. And guess who sets the rules? The majority party. So Democrats come along and they, they set the rules of the Senate. And I'll guarantee you, mark my word, when the Democrats take back over the trifecta, which history says it will happen again, they will undoubtedly, without question, very quickly bypass the filibuster or what I'm calling the fake filibuster. They'll go back to a simple majority, 51 votes to pass legislation. 50.
>> Walker Wildmon: They'll push through the radical agenda, the Greene New Deal, open borders, they'll codify all of it. Mass migration, they'll put it into law. Amnesty, they'll do it. Broad welfare, they'll offer it. They were very close, within just a handful of votes to doing it last time. And as I've said before, as we were talking with our guest over the week about this, the US Senators, especially the Republicans, they, they, they act as if our country is not on the line. And that's what's so frustrating for you and I as we're talking through this and we're trying to get them to pass this simple piece of legislation, by the way, which has broad bipartisan support, over 71% of democrats support voter ID. Over 85% of. Over, actually over 90%, 91% of republicans support voter ID. Over 85 percent of both parties support this. So it's not as if we're trying to pass some fringe piece of legislation that only half of the country supports. This is, over two thirds of the country support this legislation, actually three fourths. And so it's a no brainer. President Trump did an interview recently, talking about the SAVE act and about how popular it is. let's listen. This is going to be clip two.
Poll shows 83% of Americans support requiring photo ID to vote
We're working on, the Save America act, which is going to secure up our, a lot of things, but secure up our voting. I think people would like to do it and I think Democrats would too. And you ask Democrats. It's falling at 82% with Democrats. Meanwhile, Democrat Senator Adam Schiff is being confronted on this polling showing an overwhelming 83% of Americans supporting, requiring a photo ID to vote.
>> Walker Wildmon: There you have it, 83%, I'm sorry, not 85. 2 percentage points off. The U.S. senators that are holdouts, as of the time of this recording, are Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. These are Republicans, by the way. Senator Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. No surprise there. Senator McConnell has gone completely off the deep end ever since he is announced he's not running for reelection. Senator Susan Collins of Maine, she actually indicated recently that she might actually come out in support of this piece of legislation. And then Senator Thom Tillis, also not running for reelection out of North Carolina. So right now those are the few Republican holdouts that have either yet to signal their support of it or have not co sponsored it, which is also another way to indicate their support of it. That's Lisa Murkowski, dan Sullivan, Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. If Senator Thune, doesn't do this, doesn't even bring this up on the Senate floor. you talk about depressing turnout in the midterms. And the Republicans are apparently very concerned about turnout. They're very concerned about retaining the House, retaining the Senate. Well, how do you get people to show up to vote? Well, you've got to give them a reason to vote for you. We've got to stop, as conservatives, we have to stop governing and promising things that we never deliver on. We have to actually deliver on campaign promises to prove and to show that we're worthy of retaining the office that we're currently in. And so that's the memo to US Senators. Specifically, Republicans prove to the voters that you should keep control of the US Senate and do it by passing the Save America Act.

Walker Wildmon: Trump administration has dramatically reduced illegal border crossings
>> Walker Wildmon: Welcome back to the program Walker Wildmon here in this second edition, the second, segment rather of this brand new edition of, at the Core here on American Family Radio. Well, we've been talking about the Save America act. And, speaking of federal law, federal policy, the Trump administration, what has been done at the southern, border is phenomenal. I mean, we've gone from millions, we've gone from millions of border crossings, over the course of the entire Biden administration. You're talking about, over 10 million border crossings, counting the apprehensions and then the non apprehensions to effectively, zero releases, zero catch and release for over six months now of the Trump presidency and a drastic drop in the total number of crossings at the southern border. And I just want to remind our audience, I know some of you know this, you've heard this said on multiple occasions. But for those of you who may be new to this topic or haven't, read up on it recently, we, we were told, over and over again during the Biden administration that in order to secure the border, President Biden needed more funding, needed new laws, needed more authority to clean up what was going on on the southern border. This was a humanitarian disaster. The drug cartels and the human traffickers were having free reign over our southern border. And to make matters worse, the Biden administration was actually helping to facilitate what I call the largest human trafficking operation the world's ever seen, where we've had the federal government busing and flying hundreds of thousands, millions of illegal immigrants into the mainland, taking them to major trafficking hubs such as Atlanta, such as Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, NewSong York. This was all done on behalf of the federal government using our tax dollars. And, there's horror story after horror story of people who were victimized under the Biden administration. Under President Biden's watch that were victimized by what was going on on the southern border. They were running into thousands of kids every week, unaccompanied minors at the southern border. But we were told that, well, we have to have a new law. And Senator Lankford out of Oklahoma actually took the bait and he partnered with Democrats to present legislation to quote, fix the border. When in reality we just needed the President to do his job. We just needed mayorkas to do his job. And so President Trump comes in, drastically reduces, virtually eliminates illegal border crossings without a single new law passed. And for over six months now, there have been effectively zero catch and releases. And so we were. All of this has been immediately debunked. We don't need any more money, we don't need any more laws. The federal government has the full authority and the full capacity to enforce America's immigration laws. And of course we're told that it's mean, it's, it's actually unchristlike to enforce America's immigration laws. And we get all this guilt tripping for anyone who dares to talk about the fact that, that people should not be trespassing into a sovereign nation. And Speaker Mike Johnson actually was questioned about this and he gave a pretty good two minute summary of the biblical approach to sovereign nations and how God gives nations borders, barriers, boundaries. And so I thought this very fitting, to lecture and teach the media on how borders are actually God's idea.

>> House Speaker Mike Johnson: So you want me to give you a theological, dissertation? All right, I'll tell you what, I'll post it on my website later today. But let me give you a quick summary. borders and walls are biblical. From the Old Testament to the NewSong. God has allowed, us to, set up our civil societies and have separate nations. Immigration is not something that's frowned upon in scripture. In fact, it's welcome. We're going to welcome the sojourner and, love our neighbor as ourselves. But what's also important in the Bible is that assimilation is expected and anticipated and proper. When someone comes into your country, comes into your nation, they do not have the right to change its laws or to change a society. They're expected to assimilate. We haven't had a lot of that, going on. When people cite, passages out of the Old Testament, they say, well, you're supposed to, take care of the sojourner and the neighbor. Treat them as yourself. Ah, welcome then in. Yes, but that is an admonition to individuals, not to the civil authorities. The civil authorities are given authority, under scripture, to maintain order. Romans 12, you want to do this? Romans 13 says that, the civil authorities are God's agents of wrath to bring punishment upon the wrongdoer. And it says if you do right, you have no fear of the civil authorities. But those civil authorities are necessary. It's a calling. It's a calling to maintain order in society. And we have not had that. When Biden and Harris opened the borders wide for four years, we had as many as 20 million illegals come across the country. And we all know many dangerous people, hardened criminals, child molesters, rapists, murderers, all the rest, terrorists who came into the country. We did not take care of our borders. Sovereign borders are biblical and good and right. And they're just because it's not because we hate the people on the outside and we love the people on the inside. We should love our neighbor as ourselves, as individuals. But it's a civil authority and the government has to maintain the law. And that is biblical and it's right and it's just. And I'm happy to have this lengthy debate with anybody anytime they want to. And I'll post on my X page the longer dissertation on that for you today. Okay, thank you all so much.

People conflate government and individual mandates regarding immigration
And this is one thing that people that are either dishonest or biblically illiterate, they conflate. And that is the government mandate versus the individual mandate. Alright? Specifically the mandate of the Church, the body of Christ, and those two are not necessarily the same. Actually, in most cases they're explicitly not the same mandate. All right, so if you take every mandate in scripture, both for government and the individual, and you apply it across the board to every institution, every government, every individual, every organization, etc. That's an explicitly dishonest and inaccurate portrait or portraying and teaching of Scripture. It is not the government's job to welcome the sojourner. And in some instances, when you look at that definition, it's actually a legal resident, someone who's legally passing through. Okay? So we could even argue about the definition of sojourner. But nonetheless, there's. There's three institutions that God created. God created government. And this is not necessarily in order. God created government. He created the family, which was first, and he created the church. And there are specific mandates and teachings that God has applied to each of those three institutions. And if you take all of the mandates and all of the teachings of scripture and you bundle it into one and say all mandates in scripture apply to all three institutions at all times, you are not teaching scripture correctly. You are actually misinterpreting and misapplying scripture. And so as speaker Mike Johnson is teaching there and correctly stating, the government's job is to enforce its own sovereignty. And what's quite interesting is this is only scandalous or controversial in America. When. You go anywhere else, across the entirety of the world, maybe with the exception of Europe, borders are not up for debate. Like when you go to Israel. Israel, Israelis don't debate whether they should have a border or not. Now they debate whether they should move them or not. but they don't debate the essence of the border, the existence of the border. Rather, when you go to Saudi Arabia, you go to China, you go to Taiwan, Japan, you go to even Central and South America, even Canada, the residents aren't sitting around going, you know, I just think we probably just shouldn't have the borders. And then some are saying, oh, I think we should, because that's a dumb argument. Why would a sovereign people petition to be a non sovereign people? Oh, wait. Either because they want to be globalist, which that entire ideology is unbiblical as well, to teach globalism that's not in scripture, or they would like to see the destruction and the downfall of an entire civilization. That's another reason to get rid of sovereign borders. But at the end of it all, even if you do not, submit to the teachings of scripture, it is an unavoidable, objective fact that open or no border policies lead to more human suffering. You see, we're taught that, well, if you actually let people into the country illegally, you're actually helping them have a better life. That's what we're told all the time. Okay, well, let's pick that apart. Okay, first off, that's not an excuse to have lawlessness, okay? Offering someone a better life by breaking the law is no excuse and justification for lawlessness. Secondly, okay, let's assume we're giving someone, quote, a better life by violating our federal laws and America's sovereignty. Okay, so whose life are you hurting by doing so? Well, you're hurting the American citizen because now you have people in the country illegally that are draining resources that American taxpayers have poured into. So that's an injustice being committed against the legal resident, the legal American citizen. So two wrongs don't make a right. Thirdly, the amount of human and drug trafficking that happens when you have laxed immigration policy is unbelievable. So on one hand, you say, well, we're helping people, we're being compassionate. We're letting them into our country by ignoring our laws. But on the other hand, at the same time, for the amount of people that you, quote, make their life better, there's probably a tenfold number that you're causing 10 times M. More suffering. All of the women that are raped at the border by the cartels and the coyotes, all of the children that are molested and trafficked at the border by the coyotes and the cartels, all of the illicit drugs that pour into our country and kill American citizens via overdose deaths, and not even overdose deaths. The number of millions of American families that are broken apart by drug addiction, those drugs come through the southern border. The amount of harm that happens in the name of, quote, giving someone a better life, it's just hard to explain. And you see, it's not as if America's the mean guy on the block or the nation with no heart. America has the most generous legal immigration system in the world. And this doesn't get talked about often because it actually goes against the globalist teachings of open borders. But America permits over a million legal immigrants every 12 months. So that's 10 million a decade, 20 million every 20 years, and the list goes on. These are unique legal immigrants. This isn't, you know, the same person every. Every three years is getting counted. These are 1 million new legal immigrants every single year. And we have a very clear path to apply for immigration status for either a work visa or fill in the blank. There's all kinds of different programs you can come in under. And so you can't say, well, America just needs to be more generous. No, we are. We're very generous. We allow over a million people every year to come into their country. Many of them become American citizens. They actually make money, earn a living here, wire money back home. We're. We're essentially the breadbasket, if you will, or the. The. The. The. We fund America's. We fund the world's, especially central and South America. We fund this entire continent. We essentially fund the western hemisphere through wire transfers. We permit foreign nationals to wire billions of dollars in this hemisphere and around the world every single. So we're like the west piggy bank. And so you can't. My point is, you can't lecture America on having a heart or having compassion because we're one of the most. Well, we're not one of the most. We are the most generous nations in modern history, probably world history. Over 85% of, missionary work. Comes from America. Over 85% of the world's work done in the name of helping others comes from America. So there's zero room to lecture America about being generous, being kind hearted, welcoming the sojourner. We're doing all of that. We just want a border that is respected and enforced. It's not a tall ask. And President Trump is delivering it.

>> Walker Wildmon: Well, Chris, before we get sidetracked on all of the economic news, we got a lot of developments on that front. We've got some developments on the energy front with the EPA announcement on Thursday afternoon. but before we get into that, I want to talk about some of our shareholder engagement that we've been working on and you've been reporting on this for the last year or so. We've had some positive, movements from companies like Apple Corporation that have agreed to put in place some of our policy recommendations on protecting minors on their devices. But one of the more recent developments was with Walmart and for those who don't know, we've been. American Family association has been engaging in shareholder engagement m with various, corporations that we own shares in, including Walmart. we've got a breaking bank, of America announcement coming up next week that we've been working with them on. But as far as Walmart, Chris, there were two major things that we got them to agree to. one of them was, had to do with mifepristone. You and I have talked about the abortion pill and some of these pharmacies that have been prescribing it or dispensing it, rather. we had one question for Walmart on the abortion pill, and that was, do you have any plans in the future to try to dispense mifepristone? And this is something they, they had agreed with other, they had agreed to with other conservative groups that, hey, we don't, we're not dispensing it now. but getting them to agree to not dispense it in the, in the foreseeable future was, a big, big thing that we're asking them. And of course they agreed to that. They agreed to go public and state that they have no plans to dispense methopresstolone, the abortion pill. Pill. That was a huge victory that, we reached.
We got Walmart to commit that they do not allow transgender treatments on minors
Chris, the second thing, and then I'll get your comment on, is the, transgender procedures for minors. this was, this is a big issue. Some of these health care plans are healthcare and air quotes. These plans are covering these irreversible harmful treatments on minors, much less adults. And we got Walmart to commit and publicly state that they do not allow any minors to have any transgender treatments under their benefits packages. At the Walmart corporations, they have hundreds of thousands of employees around the world. so those were two big wins. Corporate America, Chris, is moving in the right direction. There's a lot of pressure on corporate America to get out of the political games.
>> Chris Woodward: Yes. And the fact that this is Walmart, one of the biggest companies in the world, it's only gonna be, a matter of time before we're talking about another company that feels now it's safe to move in this direction based on the fact that Walmart did it. They withstood the PR storm from the people that got on X and cried foul and all that stuff like people often do. but it's, it's a huge thing and quite honestly, it's the right thing to do. I know some people are gonna mischaracterize this and say that Walmart is saying you can't get surgeries and medications. They're saying you can't get it if you're a minor because it's not safe, it's not healthy. I covered this with a number of groups for a long time. Do, no harm is kind of the big name when it comes to transgender stuff. and Chloe Cole herself testified in Utah a couple of weeks ago, when they were talking about expanding some of their, things that prevent transgender things on minors. She talked about how a lot of the people that go through these minors that go through it, they end up regretting it. They up end, they end up hurt. It does not help them. And many of them end up with worse medical conditions, than they were when they were teenagers had we just treated them with, psychological care and treatment like a number of organizations recommend. Yeah.
>> Walker Wildmon: And to your point, they call it gender affirming care. That's what the left calls it. I think true gender affirming care is affirming them and the way in which God made them male or female and affirming them in that direction. To me, that's true gender affirming care instead of this nonsense where they destroy their bodies and teach them that they can be the opposite sex, which we know scientifically is not true. but, Walmart, coming out with that, and our shareholder engagement was a big deal. And so we appreciate Walmart working with us, to come up with that, on those two fronts. And then we've got a, major development with bank of America that's probably going to come out within the next two weeks, where they're substantially changing policies, internal policies, on some things that, we've been working with them on. So, Chris, it seems as though this is what Jerry Boyer calls it. He calls it a vibe shift. Corporate America. I think the boardroom has gotten the point that we don't, Americans don't want the woke stuff anymore. We just want companies to do business and focus on their core business model.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, we would never have gone through the situations we've gone through as a society had they just stayed neutral like they used to. Why, for whatever reason, from like 1995, certainly from about 2015 onward, they decided to move in this left leaning direction. I have no idea. Because oftentimes the people that they're trying to cater to are a fraction of a fraction of a society. So you're trying to cater to like a minority is too kind of a word. It's that small of a little subset group. And really, when you talk about mifepristone, again, this is the right thing to do, because a number of groups out there have been sounding the alarm over mifepristone and, they've kind of changed their marketing campaign now to who knew? But Walmart used to be Save money, Live better. Walmart. If you want to live better, don't take the abortion pill. Because there was a study last year that was huge, and they found the Ethics and Public Policy center, found that nearly 1 in 10 or 1 in 11 women that take the abortion pill, end up with a severe adverse health event. Walmart does not want to be giving somebody something that's going to harm their health.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yes, absolutely.
>> Chris Woodward: It's the same thing with a food product.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, absolutely. So, Walmart and other corporations are getting the message, they're getting the memo, and, we're happy to announce that. Chris.
These federal employment layoffs are going against the jobs numbers, Chris says
On the economic front, we had a gangbusters jobs report. A lot of jobs added, mostly in healthcare and education. but nonetheless, the print was double what was expected.
>> Chris Woodward: Sure was, yes. Market Watch thought we would see somewhere around 55,000. We ended up with 130,000, so almost 100,000 more than what many people thought we would see. And you're right, job gains did occur in places like health care and social assistance, but also construction. That's huge because as we've talked on the show, obviously there are plans being made for things to expand and they're building things, and when you build stuff, you got to make stuff, and a whole bunch of money changes hands. So you want construction to be hiring. And I know some people might think, well, you guys used to beat up on the Biden administration when they announced job gains in healthcare. But things are different this time around because we know the administration is not giving money out for all kinds of healthcare jobs. So these are like actual private sector healthcare jobs. And to make things even better, the federal government is, again, slashing jobs. And that means somebody out there is looking for a job, but obviously they're going to find it in the private sector because places are hiring.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, the, the federal, employment, number is at its lowest level since 1966.
>> Chris Woodward: I hate to see it.
>> Walker Wildmon: So. Right. Totally sad. Right. and Chris, these, these federal employment layoffs are going against the jobs numbers.
>> Chris Woodward: Yes.
>> Walker Wildmon: So this President Trump laying off government employees actually works against his administration when it comes to, quote, jobs numbers. So that's something to talk about as well, that you add in all the hundreds of thousands of federal employees that have been laid off, and then the private sector growth, things are actually looking better than even the numbers suggest.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah. And let me clarify, when I joke, I hate to see it. Basically, for a long time now, really, and this is going back to even Republican administrations, we were paying several people to do the work of like one or two. And really since COVID many government workers have been working from home and Lord knows if they're actually doing anything from the House. So we're all as taxpayers on the hook for these 10 jobs that one person could be doing, and it's far more than 10,000 because our government's huge and they oversee all kinds of things down to like a desert mouse. So, you know, the federal government is far too bloated and we the people, Republicans, Democrats, independents, what have you do better? we end up with a lower tax bill when we're not employing a million people.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, it's way too big. The government started meddling around and doing stuff that our founders never envisioned them doing. So it must get smaller. It must continue to get smaller. Chris, I've talked about inflation and I've specifically cited this source called truflation, which is really becoming, one of the most credible outlets, and outfits when it comes to publishing America's latest inflation data. Chris, to show how different the federal government and these private organizations are showing. The CPI according to Truflation is at about 0.74 under 1%.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah.
>> Walker Wildmon: The PCE is at about 1.3%. Chris, if this is true that the BLS, the Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers are this far off and the Fed is holding on rate cuts based on bad data, that in and of itself is very scandalous.
>> Chris Woodward: Oh, for sure. And it goes to show you that there's a lot of things going on behind the scenes. Wink, wink, nod, nod, those kinds of things. there's a number of organizations, that are all kind of in cahoots with one another. and really I think if, it would be difficult to do it, but show some charts, have somebody like Stephen Moore or somebody come by and explain it to people, Kevan o' Leary from Shark Tank or whatnot. But like come by and explain to the American people at one of Trump's economic stops why these things matter and why we really need to know what's going on. Because, and I know it's such a low hanging fruit of a thing, but clearly there is a lot of fake news out there and most people are informed by the fake news. And the fake news is going to go with inflation is bad. Trump's not, not fixing it when there's clearly other data out there that needs to at least be considered and brought into the discussion.
>> Walker Wildmon: Yeah, and that's, I think that's President Trump's primary frustration is that he's seeing this, what appears to be accurate data from private outfits, telling him and Bessant and others that, hey, guys, you've beat inflation, right? Inflation's well below 2%. The federal, Reserve, including Powell himself, said, I'm countless occasions, oh, we gotta get it below two, we gotta get it below two, and then we'll start cutting rates. President Trump's point is, hey, guys, we're below two. We're well below two. And we risk going into a recession because you guys are using old data, outdated models that do not tell the true story about where inflation is. That's a big deal. And I don't know what bls the Bureau of Labor Statistics has to do, Chris, to get this fixed, but we spend billions of dollars at the treasury and at the Federal Reserve to have all these thousands of analysts put these numbers together. You would think they could at least get the inflation numbers right.
>> Chris Woodward: You would think, you would think. But, you know, talking about how we could risk going into a recession, that may be the end game here. Hey, if we hold the line long enough and we convince, people that what Trump wants is bad, we're gonna go into a recession. And then we're gonna use that as a, way to keep people hooked on the television and then they'll vote the way we want them to, which we all know many news outlets, especially those on television, want people to vote Democrat. They're out there already campaigning that Trump hasn't fixed prices. You still see Elizabeth Warren in some kind of angry rant every day on X, sometimes from the seat of a car or, or from the seat of her office chair in her home or whatever. so they're going to try to convince people that the economy is not doing well. And clearly there are other things out there that show. No, it's actually doing pretty good considering the circumstances. So you keep in mind that we're hiring four more jobs than many people thought we would. The energy, the cost of energy is still going down and will continue to do so. More people are going to be bringing in money, through tax cuts. we haven't even really seen any data on that yet because it's far too early. I don't think we're going to see the benefits of like the one big beautiful bill stuff until probably like late March because a lot of people, have not filed yet. They're still getting all their paperwork together and some people, assuming they're going to pay in, are going to wait until the last possible minute to pay or to file because they're assuming they're going to get stuck with a check, or having to write a check.
The EPA is rescinding the Obama era greenhouse endangerment finding
>> Walker Wildmon: Chris, another thing that could really help the economy over the next 12 to 36 months is what the EPA announced on Thursday with President Trump. I wish we had more time to cover this, maybe next week, but the EPA is rescinding the Obama era, greenhouse endangerment finding. And I don't want to get too much in the weeds and bore our listeners, but folks, in essence, this was the core document that the left and the tree huggers and the Greene NewSong Deal movement used to create this narrative that fossil fuel emissions are bad for the, for m. The environment. That's what they told us. So they used this, this faulty finding at the EPA to make it to where everybody frowned upon fossil fuel emissions. And then you get the, you get all these emission standards and then you get the electric vehicle and everybody's like, oh, no, we can't emit that many fossil fuels. All of this was built on a very faulty finding by the EPA under Obama. President Trump has just rescinded through the EPA and Lee Zeldin the greenhouse gas endangerment finding. Chris, this has the potential to unleash and deregulate much of America's energy industry and the car industry to not have to meet all these crazy standards like your car cutting off at the red light so that we can make things more efficient and more affordable.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, I, by the way, I hate that feature.
>> Walker Wildmon: yeah, it's a disaster.
>> Chris Woodward: I hate it for two reasons. Number one, in one of my vehicles, it's on the other side of the gear shift and then in the other vehicle it's on the other. So I always reach, for the.
>> Walker Wildmon: Wrong button and sometimes it doesn't work.
>> Chris Woodward: Yeah, sometimes. One time I almost put on the parking brake when I was going down the road. But yeah, deregulating is key because it's going to make the cost of business, cheaper. And some people might say, well, you know, now my car is not going to be able to get me 40 miles a gallon. It won't make all that much difference when gas is under $2.
>> Walker Wildmon: Right, exactly. So this is, the continued deregulation is a big deal to Chris's point, and has the potential to continue to drive down cost and drive down inflation and improve affordability for Americans. Hey Chris, thanks so much.
