What is this, third week of January already? I still feel like it's NewSong Year's Day. I don't know. It's, I'm still writing 2025 on everything. When I put a date down, I was checking my gun the other day to go on a go on a flight. So there I am at the, you know, ticket counter, checking my bag, doing my declaration of firearm and all that good stuff. And for, like, the umpteenth time. Yep, 2025. Had to find, go grab it and scratch it out. 2026. Anybody else? Anybody else still doing that on January 20th? Yeah, yeah, I know. Anyway, I should be, of all people, having no problem, right, in 2026. I've been talking about the 250th for, like, five years. No. Okay. M. Maybe three years. Anyway, been leading up to this and, all excited about 2026, but just can't get my hand right. 2026 instead of 2025. So I bet some of you can relate. On January 6, people were asking government to do its job

We might, we might touch on that a little bit, you know, like an actual insurrection. We've Thrown that word around a lot since, 2021, January 6th, and, wrongly used, for a long time now, you're actually trying to prevent law enforcement and, the nation from, enforcing its laws and fulfilling its duty. whereas on January 6, people were asking government to do its job, to actually do what it's called upon to do under the Constitution and under our law. So that was definitely the opposite of an insurrection on January 6th. this is an actual insurrection. This is an actual trying to prevent government from doing what it's been called on to do. Definitely a violation of the Insurrection Acts. Definitely, an opportunity, as we talked about last week in our little education segment on Article 4, Section 4, the Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, and how combined, that's where you get the idea of the guarantee of a republic, the calling forth of the military and all of those different things, of course, powers given to Congress, but then delegated to the president under the Insurrection Act. So that's how we get to where we are now. And, man, you know, you're. You're literally running over law enforcement officers. You are, you are blocking and preventing, the arrest of child predators. I mean, seriously, that's. That's your, that's your big cause celeb. That's, that's your, that's your big mission in life. you know the old expression. I think all sides have used it at some point. Our cause, our work is not yet done. Our cause is just all that kind of stuff. Do these. Do these liberal white women really think their cause is just. Do they really believe that? I think some of them do, but I'm just like, you know that video of that ICE agent saying, we're trying to arrest a child predator? That's what you guys are stopping us from doing. We're trying to stop a child predator from trying to think of how far I can go with this on the air doing really bad things, okay? And, these people are so deluded. They are so delusional. They are so emotional and so wrapped up in their mob mentality. And they've been so lied to by Tim Waltz and Jacob Fay and Hillary Clinton and all the rest that they are. They truly believe, I think they do think, that their cause is just that they are part of a righteous cause. And yet their, protectorate. They're the try. I'm trying to think of the right word. The people they're protecting are child predators, rapists, murderers, gang members, illegal aliens that, that obviously have no regard for the American justice system or Laws and, and that's who these people are protecting. So I just say, if you're watching on video, hats off. There's my hat. Off to Donald Trump and to Kristi Noem and, and to ice. I think I saw yesterday that Christie, Christine, Secretary Noem said, 10,000 or 11,000 illegal aliens already apprehended in Minneapolis. Like, just in Minneapolis. And then, I just heard on the break from AFA news, I thought it was 1.6 million over the last year. Apparently two and a half or so, either, self deported or we deported them. M. I think, I think at the end of the year, closer than years like second week of December, the numbers were 1.5, 1.6 million, and it was roughly about 900,000 that had self deported. 6, 7, 800,000 that, that, that we had physically put our hands on and deported. so if that number's up to 2.5, we're making some progress. We're about 10% of the way there. And I'll say it again, I'll say it over and over again. I'll say it where any chance I have the opportunity. And, to anyone that's listening, if the Republicans want to keep the majority and expand the majority, if they want to not lose the midterms, there are two things they can do that would, if they do, both of them, I believe would guarantee victory in 2026 in the midterms and massive victory in 2028. and it's real simple. Number one, continue doing exactly what you're doing with deporting illegal aliens, but ratchet it up quite literally a thousand fold. I'm not, not 100%, not like double what you're doing, 10 times what you're doing. And the only way to do that was to pick a couple of states with good governors that are willing to play along, that are willing, that are also lovers of justice and want their streets to be safe rather than chaos, that want their budgets to get back in line by not spending tens of billions of dollars educating, housing, feeding illegal aliens that came here from, you know, third world countries that want their states to once again be the paradise that America used to be. And I think you've got several. I think Abbott would play along in Texas, I think DeSantis in Florida, certainly Huckabee in Arkansas and several others. And so if you could get them to, I mean, just all out, number one, focus all law enforcement in that state 100% on board with the president and with ICE and you get them all. You round up every illegal alien in that state, what a, massive turnaround would happen, how crime would fall, how the budgets would get back in line, the classrooms would no longer be overloaded, teachers would no longer be trying to learn a new language so that they can, just manage their classroom. it would be. It would be a massive turnaround. So that's number one. If Republicans would do that, that alone probably guarantees the election. But if you do that, and you bring Elon Musk back in and you do the Doge cuts, the massive Doge cuts, you get rid of the fraud and abuse. That's not just Somali daycares. I mean, every other day it seems like we get another headline of tens of billions of dollars in fraud in some area. Housing, food stamps, you know, mortgages, student loans. I mean, every single area government touches, there is fraud and abuse right now because there isn't the appetite to stop it. Why? Because it is the fuel to the engine of the Democrat Party. All of this fraud and abuse is not just going to these third World people that came over here and thought we were idiots for handing it out. They think you're an idiot if you don't participate in the fraud. It's not just going to them, to drive their luxury cars. A huge chunk of that money goes right back into Democrat coffers. So why do you think? You know, I know I've been. I know I've had these moments where I'm like, how in the world. Why would an American president or governor or mayor, why would an American leader hand over their city or their state or their nation to the. To these people? Why? It's like, what is going on? Are they demon possessed? Are they. What? You know what? it just. It's so illogical until. Until you realize they are. They epitomize the opposite of the America the beautiful line. More than self, country, love. They love themselves so much that they love themselves more than their country. And they are willing to sell their country down the river in order to hold on to power and money. So. So as long as they're getting their payback, as long as the money is flowing to their campaign accounts, to their. To their fraudulent businesses and, presidential libraries and all of these other things, then they are more than willing to sell you and me down the river. River. They're more than willing to invite people in that will commit chaos and crime. They're quite literally. This is disgusting, but listen to me.

Governors in Texas need to call on President Trump to help fight illegal immigration

They are literally willing to have children trafficked to have people, horrific things happen to people all over our country in order for them to hold onto power. So that's why it's happening. That's why it's not just going away. But President Trump understands that he no longer is, is in the fog of 2016, of the 2016 election, where he genuinely thought, when it's over, we'll all come together and do what's best for America. He understands that these people hate their own country, or they at least love themselves so much more than their country, they're willing to do things that are the equivalent of hate to their country. And so he's willing to stay the course, I believe, on the, on the ICE thing and the, and the, and the deportations. But I think these governors are going to have to come up with some way to, to, to call their legislatures in and specifically invoke Article 4, Section 4, and specifically ask the President to come in and work with law enforcement in those states and in those, in those blue cities in Texas. We've got a few that won't participate. And so our state troopers and other police and sheriff's departments and others that could be deputized and become federal law enforcement, if necessary, can team up with ICE and go into Houston and Dallas and San Antonio and Austin or, in Florida maybe they have the same problem in Orlando and some of their big cities. so that one is a no brainer. I pray that they do that quickly because we're running out of time, man. I mean, the midterms are upon us and then the Doge thing. I haven't heard any more rumblings of Elon potentially coming back on board, but can you imagine the momentum that would give us going into 2026? If they would do that? It would, it would be huge. It would be absolutely huge.

America's Constitution Coach Rick Green says President Trump's first year was defense

>> Rick Green: Welcome back at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rock Rick Green I'm Rick Greene, America's Constitution coach, and appreciate you staying with me today. So let's just, let's just kind of run through some of these headlines today of January 20th. So here we are one year mark for President Trump. I didn't even realize that till Bobby, was just telling me off air. And it reminded me, I felt like at year end December, it had been the greatest year politically that I had experienced in terms of actually gaining ground. Most of my life has been defense. We've played defense on the political side of things. My, my two terms in the legislature in Texas, the Democrats were in charge and it was, you know, you just tried to stop as much bad as you could, and find a few of those things that you could get through. We had a narrow majority, we got the Republican majority the next year. But, but it was, you know, it was tough. It was, it was only a few wins here and there and we were able to do some, you know, pass some good gun legislation because there were a handful of Democrats still in conservative districts and we, and the speaker was, was pro second Amendment so we could get that done. Got a couple of things done on patriotism and, and restoring civic, some civics, education in Texas schools gotta, got some progress on the vaccination issue and, and parental choice. So there were a handful of victories. But for the most part it was defense and certainly seems like it was that way through the Obama years for sure. I mean it was whack a mole just trying to figure out which fight to fight, and try to prevent as Much damage as possible, knowing that we were slouching towards Gamora, as Robert Bork said in the 80s. And then of course, same with, with. I mean, honestly, even during Trump's first term, it still felt like defense most of the time, or just. Just putting up roadblocks, at least trying to stop, a lot of the damage and put the brakes on. And then, then of course they, you know, the election in 2020, which I believe was stolen and probably going to get struck for that. But, you know, they, they, they managed to manipulate the COVID situation, the BLM stuff, all of that, to get some cheating in the, in the, you know, violating the Constitution in several states and change in election law in order to manipulate the outcome. And so for sure we played defense, you know, from 2021 to, to January of last year in 2025. And then, and then Trump takes over with a man. I don't even know the right word, just a bulldog. I mean, you know, bull in the china closet maybe, but not so much. I thought that's what it would be. I thought it would be bull in the china closet, just go in and just wreak havoc. But it turned out to be, much more like a SEAL Team 6 taking a town, methodically, carefully, almost not silently, but, but just like, just smooth, you know, and what's that expression we say in a lot of our tactical training? Smoothest, fast, fastest, smooth. I mean, it was like that heel, toe, heel, toe, just, just moving forward, methodically and with incredible precision. the legal just in. Amazing grounding in virtually every move pointing back to some precedent or law or constitutional clause or. I mean, I just honestly did not expect it. I, I mean, I remembered, I remembered first four years with Trump, believing the executive orders were probably gonna be a little bit cray cray, right? Like a little chaotic. He's just gonna do whatever he wants. Cause he's used to doing that as a businessman and we're gonna have to call him out on the unconst of a lot of this stuff. And, and he didn't, he, he really restrained himself and, and, and did a very good job of having good executive orders, but this time, even more so. Like, this time it wasn't just, here's an executive order and I can defend it and explain how it's actually executing a law already on the books. No, they, they would actually come out, do these executive orders, and then have an entire white paper explaining why it was constitutional and the precedent and all of Those things, it was remarkable. The last year was remarkable. It was unlike anything I've seen from an administration or a president now. I mean, I could nitpick, I could go find some things I obviously disagreed with. I could go nitpick and find, I bet, 5% of the things that he did and that the administration did that I could argue with and say I disagree on the. I have never had an administration that I was 95% proud of, that I could say 95% of the things they did were spot on. Exactly what I would do if I was the one in the chair in the White House making those decisions. That has never happened in my lifetime. I can't even think of a president in history that can point to where I could say that about their administration, including my, you know, now, you know, fourth favorite president, Ronald Reagan. I mean, I've got a kid named after Reagan, a kid born on his birthday, a dog named Dutch. Back in the day, I made a movie about Reagan. I love President Reagan's legacy. All, right. In fact, that was the name of my movie I made. The Legacy of President Ronald Reagan wasn't a movie, it was documentary. so, but I can point to vaccine, the, immunity for vaccine manufacturers. A horrible, horrible move by President Reagan. amnesty for illegal aliens, horrible move by President Reagan. A lot of pressure on Israel in talks and negotiations. That, that really was, in my opinion, too much favoring, some sort of a two state solution and the Palestinians and all this, and other things. Okay, but, but lots of great things as well from President Reagan. I'm telling you. President Trump has done an even better job in his four years. So this, this first year. And, and his, I know he's braggadocious and I know he's, you know, touting himself and all that, but you kind of have to. Whenever you're up against virtually the entire, you know, establishment, media that lies about every move that he makes, when you're, when you're quite literally being lied about by left wing crazy governors like Tim Waltz and Gavin Newsom and others, he's got to go out there and defend his record and explain why he's doing the things he's doing and then talk about the results, the economic results, the peace and prosperity brought, in places like D.C. and other places where he's gone in and cleaned up, even Memphis and some of these other things. So I just think, wow, man, I'm just, I just want to give some gratitude today to God for this administration and what they've done for the team that he surrounded himself. I am so proud of our Patriot Academy grads that are, that are part of the White House team and helping with some of the big, big stuff that's being done. I'm so proud of, the executive team that Trump chose. Marco Rubio has been an absolutely phenomenal Secretary of State. Maybe the best in our history, but certainly one of the best. without doubt, Vice, President Vance, I think, has done a great job. I think he's still got a lot to prove. I'm not 100% decided on if we end up with a crowded field with Vance and Rubio and DeSantis and all that. I haven't made my decision on that. But, but he certainly, you know, could earn it. but, but, but done a phenomenal job. The, the judges, the appointment of judges, the vetting of judges has been great. I think we've got some challenges coming up. We'll talk about that more in future programs. That's going to be, you know, the potential of some bad appointments because of some names being pushed. but, you know, just go down the list. Kristi Noem's done a phenomenal job. Tom Holman's done a phenomenal job. Brooke Rollins over at ag. I mean, it's just, it's incredible. The, the team that he put together this time. I don't know of a single person in the administration that you could point to and say they are undermining Trump's agenda. you might could point to some people and say they're not doing enough. You know, there's a lot of, lot of that being, pointed towards Bondi right now over at doj. I, think she has a chance to, you know, essentially, redeem herself with this absurd Don Lemon. What a lemon he is, man. But this Don Lemon thing, going into that church, barging in claiming a First Amendment right to go on a private property. You don't have a First Amendment right to go into somebody's house of worship and disturb their, Their, worship service or take over their, their property or demand an interview or demand a voice. The First Amendment does not give you a platform. The First Amendment right to freedom of speech does not guarantee you the place to give that speech in any way, shape or form.

The First Amendment right to freedom of speech simply protects you from being silenced by the government. It protects you from your platform being destroyed by the government. It protects you from, you know, building. It protects us right now as we're having this radio program from having, you know, Jack booted thugs coming in the front door of the American Family Radio headquarters or here at the Patriot Academy campus where I broadcast from, and unplugging and taking over our, our studios and saying that we can't say what we're saying right now. That's what the First Amendment freedom of speech is all about. your ability to, to protest in a public square at the, in, in, in, in the public park or, or at the Washington Mall or at the county courthouse and these places where, we, we expect that kind of thing. And even then, I will say it is not a violation of your freedom of speech to have a permitting process for that sort of thing so that you have enough law enforcement there in case things get out of hand or so that, you know, you have to pick dates that don't conflict with other people's dates. I mean, that's just common sense. Now, if you're using the permit process to, to prevent someone from ever being able to march like they did in Birmingham to MLK and Reverend Shuttlesworth, well, then that's a problem. All right? That's, that's where I would justify and support and, and, man, I pray, I don't know because of, you know, I was raised in the South. I would hope that I would have been on MLK side and said, hey, that guy has a right to march. Reverend Shuttlesworth has a right to march. They are saying do it peacefully. They're willing to do it peacefully. you got to give them their permit at some point. And if you don't, I'm going to go stand with them like some members of white members of the clergy did. More white members of the clergy should have, but some did. Now I get it. I know some of you are thinking, rick, are you still a defender of mlk? The answer is no. I, have been educated. And actually I'm going to be doing a new, introduction to our Chasing American Legends episode about MLK because of so much that has come out and, and, I'm looking forward to interviewing, Chad Jackson and, and the stuff that he did. but I, I, I, I digress. That's not the point here. The point is he had a right to protest, and he had a right to peacefully protest, and you do as well. But you do not have the right to march into somebody's church and take over the building. You do not have the right to shout down someone who has a platform that they have established. You build up a church that's your platform. I build up a radio program. That's my platform. You do not have the right to demand to come on at the Core with Walker Wildmon or Rick Green If Walker and I don't want to interview you, you cannot demand that you get to come on our program. That is not what freedom of speech is. Freedom of speech is preventing the government from shutting down your voice or your platform when you have a platform. That's all it is. So this guy, Don, I mean, of course a cnn, you know, I think he's former cnn. I think they fired him finally. but he's a left wing nut. And, and so, hey, Pam Bondi, this is your chance to redeem yourself. He and every one of those people that went into that church and disturbed the peace need to be absolutely indicted as quick as possible. And, and I'm talking perp walked in front of all the cameras. You gotta do to them what they did to us. If it's legal to do so, and in this case, it is legal. They did a lot of things to us that were not legal. They violated the justice system, they manipulated the justice system. At least in our case. We're gonna do to them what they did to us. That's legal. And then we're gonna do better. We're gonna give them an actual fair trial, and we're gonna put, impartial judges in front of them and juries, and give them the chance to call witnesses, in their favor and question witnesses against them and present evidence. Unlike what they did to Donald Trump and to Rebecca Lance, the praying grandma, and all the other J6 defendants. We will actually give them justice. But that's what they need, is justice. We need to deliver justice to them. And justice for many of them is going to be sitting in a jail cell. Justice for some of them, like Anthony Fauci, I believe should be the death penalty. I think this guy needs to be put on trial for mass murder. of all the people that his purposely deceitful lies killed, all the pregnant women that lost their babies because of his lying. Raechel Walensky, same thing. Those were crimes against humanity. And people all over the world suffered because of it. So I doubt they'll get that. But they should at least spend the rest of their days in jail, in a jail cell. After a trial. Of course, you got to have due process. Okay, enough of that. Great year for Donald Trump, and an incredible cabinet. And Pam Bondi is the only one that I can think of off the top of my head that probably needs to step it up and, and potentially redeem herself quickly, as we're going to break Greenland.

Rick says he thinks President Trump will get Minnesota Medicaid fraud investigation done

I, Yeah, I, look, I raised my hand and admit both hands. I will say I thought it was a joke. I thought it was a joke in the beginning. I laughed. I was like, you know, Canada, 51st state. Greenland, 52nd state. you know, hilarious. No, no, no. This is the real deal, folks. apparently. And I just plead ignorance on this. I was not aware of the strategic national security interest we have in green. I was not aware of how much, the Dutch had, had fumbled the ball here. And, and President Trump is swooping in. I, I think he's gonna get this done, folks. I, I, I don't. I've never seen this man, point and, and give it this much air time and not follow through. This is not. I thought this was the cat and the, you know, you'd shine the light or the mirror, you know, catch the light on the mirror and shine it over here, and the cat goes running over there. I thought this was, that. I thought he was just using this to this, you know, get people riled up and be a distraction and go, and while he's working on other things. But it is not. He's actually got his eyes on this. And not only have we not heard the end of it, I think we're, we're well on our way, to this actually, actually happening. So. Denmark. Hey, sorry. Your loss is gonna be our gain on this thing. Minnesota, real quick. We'll catch this headline, just on the, on the fraud investigation for the House Committee. Then we'll talk more about the insurrection there and what President Trump can do when, we come back from the break. But House, committee opens Minnesota Medicaid fraud investigation. So they are actually looking into, Tim Waltz himself. this, this is what needs to be done. this is absolutely what should be done. Looks like the DOJ is, in fact, probing the ICE protesters who disrupted that church service in Minnesota. So they're at least taking a step forward. My suggestion would be move as quickly as you can. President Trump has also said that these agitators that went into that church, should be jailed. And so, you know, folks, listen, we have our moments where we doubt. Unfortunately, our side tends to be doomsday. Right? We, we tend, we tend to pick out the bad, or we, we nitpick on the things that don't get done instead of celebrating the victories. we're very much like the grumbling of the children of Israel that Moses just got so fed up with. I don't know why we're that way. Maybe it's because it's been so bad for 50 years and we've seen so many defeats or, or we've had, you know, these moments where it looked like we were going to have a victory and then, you know, throw the interception at the last second and, and we don't get the victory. Maybe that's why. I don't know. For whatever reason, we're like that. My suggestion to you is to try to switch that in 2026. Let's be optimistic in 2026. Let's go out there and get some victories. Let's talk about every victory we possibly can, and let's press forward in a way that we're Looking back on 2026 when we're doing, when we're having this moment, when we're saying how Trump's second year look, that we're able to say Trump did great. Lots of victories at the federal level, but we also had tons of victories at the local level and the state level that we did our job in our communities. We do that. Man, oh, man, we can head into 2027 with some amazing momentum, but it's going to take some hard work, and you and I are going to do it together. We'll talk about it more here on at the Core. Taking a quick break. You're listening to at the Core with Walker Wildmon and Rick Green Hi, this is Debbie. I'm from Louisiana, and I, first learned about preborn on AFR. And, my mom was 14 when she had me back in the 1950s. and during that time, of course, abortion was illegal. And, I just felt blessed that I was born. I would have been the perfect candidate for abortion. And, I think that preborn just does such a great job of teaching young girls and all women about, just an opportunity options that they have rather than having an abortion. I think it's a blessing. And, that's why it's just so important to me. And I support AFR as well as preborn, and I hope that you will, too.

A lawsuit challenging Hawaii's gun laws is headed to the Supreme Court

>> Rick Green: Welcome back to CORE with Barker Waldman. Rick Greene, I'm Rick Greene, America's Constitution coach. Just trying to catch up here. I did, not get to listen this morning to the oral arguments at the Supreme Court on a case challenging Hawaii's gun laws. Hawaii has been one of the worst. They before Bruin. Now Bruin was the one couple years ago that really changed the game. So it basically said to all these states that you know, they claimed they had a carry law but no one was ever approved for it. So in other words they say, you know, you can get, oh yeah, you can carry, you can defend your family. You don't have to go, you know, walk around and be subject to the criminals all the time. You just have to get a handgun license, and it has to be approved by our, you know, the sheriff or the police chief or whatever, whatever person, they put in charge of that. And then none of them would get approved. Like zero licenses were, were given. And so California did this in most of their county. Some of their counties had good sheriffs and gave them out, but in some counties nobody got one. Hawaii, there were lots of places like that. And then it was also, preventing you from being able to carry in public places, being able to go, you know, grocery, shopping or whatever, or you know, walking down the street and, and and, and be able to carry your gun. And I remember at one point, I want to say it was Gorsuch and Thomas that together said in a different case, a dissenting opinion case aligned something akin to, they basically said if you think that the Second Amendment is only for your home and only so that you can carry your gun from the living room to the kitchen or bedroom to the kitchen, you're missing the whole point. It's the Second Amendment is for you to be able to defend yourself wherever you are. And the only thing the Bruen case allowed for was that you could prevent concealed carry or open carrier citizens carrying in what they called sensitive places if you had a history of preventing it in those sensitive places. Now I don't like that part, but I get it. And, and I also. And here's the problem with this Hawaii challenge. I do think private property, if it's your restaurant, you should be able to say no. The problem with Hawaii's law is it presumes no. It starts with everybody's a no. And unless the landowner specifically gives you personally permission to carry in that restaurant or at that church or wherever that that is, that that place of business is, then you can't carry. So the opposite is how, for instance, Texas does it. If a landowner does not want you to conceal carry or open carry in their restaurant or whatever other place, then they have a sign. In Texas, it's the, the law is actually it's funny. 300 6, 30 dots 30 dot. if they put that specific language up there with the right size, gotta be big enough where you can see it and all that good stuff, then you cannot conceal carry. If they do the 30.07, you cannot open carry in that place. So they, they have to take the affirmative action of saying you cannot carry. And, and if they do, I think that's okay. I think that's their right as the landowner. What I do when I see that sign, I don't give them my business. I refuse to eat somewhere that, that doesn't allow me to carry. I don't go watch a movie in a movie theater if they don't allow me to, to carry. If I, if I see the sign, sometimes I don't see the sign. but the, the point is that's the right way to do it. Hawaii does it the opposite. And so this challenge to the Supreme Court, I am hoping, I mean what I'm reading right now is that there were some pretty hard questions for them and that indications are they will overturn the law. Now this law was passed in reaction to, in response to the Bruin case. So the Bruin case I think was three years ago. And so then Hawaii passed this law in 2023 and it was their way of ess doing a blanket cover over everything. And then only the people that took affirmative action to tell you you could carry on in their places could you carry. now, the, the guys that brought the lawsuit, some of these permit holders in Hawaii and then Even the U.S. attorney General Pam, Bondi, who we were just talking about, have said Hawaii's law plainly violates the Second Amendment. It effectively bans public carry. So if the Supreme Court overturns that law, it's going to be interesting because in the moment they overturn could be that, that the interpretation at that point is that Hawaii defaults to a constitutional carry state. So if they don't have a law, if now the law that was preventing you from carrying is overturned, do they become, what is that, 30. I think we have 29 states right now that have constitutional carry, meaning the Constitution is your permit, you can carry anywhere unless the landowner has a sign and says that you can't. Again, something I support. and so I think I'm somewhat guessing here, but not entirely because there's something in the back of my brain says this has already happened to a couple of states. I think it will default to constitutional carry. Now you can bet that Hawaii's legislature will very quickly pass some other sensitive places law. So they will, they will. They will come out with something to limit as best they can who gets to carry. Just like California and Maryland and NewSong Jersey and NewSong York and others have done. And, and they have claimed, I mean, absurd claims on sensitive places where they basically say an entire area is, meaning like an entire, you know, geographic. You know, part of the map is a sensitive area, which is absurd. I mean, you should have to say, okay, we're going to say that sensitive places are courtrooms. All right, I can live with. I can live with that. I don't like it, but I can live with it. If you're going to say we're going to have the courtroom be a place you can't carry, just so we don't have vigilante justice where somebody, you know, carries in a gun, concealed carry, and. And they. And they shoot the defendant. You know, that type of thing. Okay, all right. and then, you know, maybe. Maybe you said, you. Maybe you want to say, I think. I think Texas even still has this, that, That churches and houses of worship, that they. They have to affirmatively say that you can carry on their land. I think we reversed that one. I think that finally changed. But. But anyway, you can bet Hawaii is going to come up with something. So I'm going to go. I'm going to go listen to the hearing. I'd love to know the type of questions that were asked and the tone and all that, all that good stuff. So that was just today. That was. That was this morning. But interesting case. We'll keep an eye on it. And I'll try to remember to report back to you on Thursday, though there may not be much more to report because they probably will not, hand out a decision till likely June or July, usually when they. When they do that.

Supreme Court hears case challenging Idaho and West Virginia anti-male sports laws

But we also had the, case. What was it, not Monday, last week sometime, the case for, you know, preventing guys from, getting into girl sports and stealing the trophies and, you know, trying to think of nice ways to say this because I think that is just so absurd. but anyway, the Supreme Court heard that case and again, the questioning very. Seemed to very clearly indicate they are absolutely going to uphold Idaho and West Virginia's laws preventing males in female sports. Now, I don't know if they'll go so far as to say that should be, you know, the law of the land anyway, that. That it does in fact violate equal protection because the. The, The the, the, the, the defendants in the case, the states that were defending their laws made that argument. So they made this 14th amendment claim that equal protection applies here and that you're not protecting females, from these guys coming in and, and taking their sport or ah, taking their trophies and their, their scholarships and all of those things. And so, you know, Title nine, everything, all that. so if, if that happens, it could actually apply to all states. That would be, that would be wonderful. I mean that would prevent these California and crazy states that have legislatures that do not protect the girls in their states. It would actually protect the girls in their state. It's basically overruled those, those legislatures. We'll see what happens. I also think these types of Supreme Court decisions should help, with the convention of states. That it should help get some of these states on board with having a convention of states where we pass some constitutional amendments that take some of this decision making out of the hands of the feds. Now this one, I think there's a pretty good equal protection case for this. but there's other laws, there's other issues that, while I have a very strong biblical position on that issue, I do have a hard time saying that the federal government should enforce that particular law. And therefore you can have different states doing different things. And so more liberal states will have some things that our conservative states will not have. So you'll have a red state, blue state, huge difference. And that's okay. It's okay. We need the nation to stay together. We need all 50 states to stay together. I am not for secession. I don't think Texas, would be better on its own if we did text it. I don't think that, you know, separating the red states from the blue states would be a good thing because I think it opens up the blue states up to being conquered by China very easily. And and therefore then we end up with China as our neighbor and a much more difficult situation. So we are much better off as a nation staying together, but we will not stay together. We're headed to a split if we do not begin to understand federalism and the fact that we stay together as a federal nation because we let the states be very different. What do we stay together for? What do we have a nation for? What is the Constitution actually say that together as a nation we will do these things and require these things. And other than that, you can do whatever you want in your individual states? Well, we answer that question by going to the Constitution. What are the things that the feds, the national government, our federal government, is given the authority to do. Well, we, we stay together as a nation for things like national security, a, military that protects the entire nation. So we, we are willing here in Texas to lay down our life for even our California brothers and sisters, right? We're willing to go and fight to defend our border all the way around the entire nation. so that's one. We, we have a nation in order to, to have commerce, to be able to have a free flow of commerce across state lines without any prohibitions against certain products from other states coming into our state so that we have this massive economy. And then we protect your inventions and your art and your writings. So patent, copyright and trademark is protected for the whole nation. We don't have a different set of rules on that from state to state. So that's specifically listed in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution as one of the things that our federal government exists for. And then, of course, you can go down the list, and from, you know, military to roads, post offices and post roads, and the free flow of commerce across state lines. All of that is why we have a federal government, why we are together as a nation. We are not together as a nation to have the same education system. There's nothing in our Constitution that that would support that. there's. There's nothing in our history that supports that. We bought that idea in only the last 40 or 50 years. We didn't have a Department of Education until 1979. We didn't have a, you know, this idea that we're going to somehow have the same curriculum. No, no, it should be that you let each state decide what they're going to do for education, how much they want to fund it, you know, whether they want to do just K through 12, K through 12, eight, whether or not they want to have a, secondary education system where they, provide college to their citizens in their state. That's. That's up to them. I don't think we should. I think it ought to be, you know, we fund a education for K through 8 or K through 12, and you let the parents decide where they go to get that education. And as long as it meets whatever the state, you know, reading, writing, arithmetic. Here's the 26 credits you got to get in high school or whatever. then they can go to, you know, they can do it homeschool and private school, public school, doesn't matter. But let each state decide that. If you live in a state that doesn't want that, doesn't want competition through school choice, doesn't want, you know, to have private schools, doesn't want to have, you know, maybe, maybe wants to completely fund it, through the state and control the education completely through the state and not at the local level. Hey, let each state decide. I'm okay with that. And then vote with your feet or work hard to change it in your state. So I think back to my point before we run out of time here, that the Supreme Court decisions that are what most would consider to be right leaning, which is just Constitution leading because unfortunately, as Tim Barton said on, on wall, builders today, the, the, the, the, the Constitution has become right wing. Like if you wave the American flag, if you hang the American flag on your property or you talk about the Constitution, you're on the right. That's it. The left doesn't do that. They hate those things. So unfortunately that's the case. But that's kind of where our split is in the country. So the Supreme Court decisions that are Constitution leaning are causing those on the left to say, I don't want the Supreme Court to tell me what to do. I don't want the Supreme Court deciding for our state how our education system's going to work. I don't want them telling us, you know, all these different things. Well, you know what then? You should support a convention of states. You should support constitutional amendments that claw back power from the feds and give it to the states. You should support constitutional amendments that wipe out 200 federal agencies trying to tell each state to do things the way that the federal government wants them to do it, instead of letting them do it the way the states want to do it. That's the whole point of a convention of states. A, convention of states is not going to outlaw abortion. It's not going to, it's not going to define marriage as one man and one woman. It's, it's not going to, do any of these issue things because you'll never get 38 states to ratify an amendment like that. But you can get 38 states to agree that we states want to make the decisions, not the feds. I, that is, that's just common sense. That's just the nature of man to want the power themselves. So, so up to this point, it's been your most conservative legislators across the country in these state legislatures calling for a convention to get this thing reset, to get the power back to the states instead of the feds, where the left leaning legislators weren't for that because they were getting everything they wanted through the Feds. In other words, the federal government was implementing these left leaning Marxist ideas that these legislators wanted. Well, now they're not doing that. So now these left leaning legislators are having to watch Donald Trump tell them what to do and they don't like it. They're having to watch Amy Coney Barrett and Clarence Thomas tell them yes or no.

Walker Wildman: Supreme Court decisions will lead to constitutional amendments restoring federalism

And they don't like it. And I hope they don't like it. And I hope that they join the cause of saying, you know what, let's just get the Feds back in the box where they belong. There's 17 things they should be doing and that's it. On those 17 things, they get to decide. There is a time when the federal government should decide, but there's most of the time where you should decide as an individual, most of the time when your state should decide or your local government should decide, and not the feds. So these Supreme Court decisions, man, on guns, on, on education, on, all this stuff, I think, I think they are not just victories in that area. I think they will be victories that move the Overton window the right direction and will ultimately lead to constitutional amendments getting us back to true federalism. And that's good for everyone.
