Bert Harper Psalm, 121, verses 1 and 2. I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help. My help comes from the Lord who made the heaven and earth. This is Bert Harper along with Alex McFarland. And it is Tuesday.
A Day of Prayer: Opening the Phone Lines for Prayer Requests and Intercession for the Nation
Now, usually the first two segments we do Bible study. And we were normally going to do that, but also on Tuesday, the last segment is a day of prayer. Through Brent, Austin's suggestions, our thoughts. We said that we want to spend the whole day, hour in prayer. So right now we're opening up the phone lines. We're opening up the phone lines and we're asking you to call. You have your prayer request and that can be any prayer request. But we would love for many of you to call and be willing to pray and pray for our country. Pray that God would just send revival, that God would work in our churches. So we're asking today to be a day of prayer. We've done that and we usually do it in May when we have the national day of prayer. But, but we wanted to do it today, so we invite you to do that. And that number. Call this number, 888-589-8840. Alex, we've been praying and that day has come that we've been praying for our brother.
Alex McFarland Amen. Amen. It was good to be with you, Bert, and everybody listening. And again, the number 888, 58988 40. We're praying for America and we'll welcome a guest here in just a moment.
Biblical Exhortation on Praying for Those in Authority and National Revival
And, but Bert, you read a little bit from the Psalms. Let me share a little bit, if I may. From first Timothy, chapter two, God's word says this. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men. Now listen to this. First Timothy 2, two for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. Bert. so clearly God cares about who's in authority, doesn't he? Because it says that we're to pray for those in authority and a, good, godly, righteous land that's good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. So the persons, whom we elect. This is significant to God, isn't it?
Bert Harper It really is. And we've been sharing this. And part of this great thing is our, listeners calling in and already praying and already asking us to pray for this day, the election, and for it to praise the Lord and it to go right, and it be according to what God would have for us in a direction we need to go.
Introducing Guest Elaine Bunn and Her Perspective on Prayer and Faith
And that's toward righteousness and toward him. And so we're praying for that and asking God to do it. And, we're taking phone calls again. 888-589-8840. we would love for you to pray, but we would love for your prayer request. And if your prayer request is for our nation and for godliness, go ahead and make that call. And if you're willing to pray, we just ask it to be precise. We're not telling you how short to be, but we want you to be precise in praying for our country, our churches, and what God would have us to do. But you was talking about a guest. And while the lines are lighting up and ready to call and pray, we have a guest. And it's someone that, that has been around here for about three years now. Four years? Five. One year.
Anne Cockrell It just feels like a long time.
Bert Harper Well, Elaine. Well, listen, I
Anne Cockrell have been familiar with AFA family for a long time. Okay?
Bert Harper It's Elaine Bunn. And, she's on the stand. Associate editor. Is that okay? I got that right? Yeah. She does a great job. And here's what frightens me. She was an English professor. Now, I want to just tell you, when you're Bert Harper and you know, how you could slaughter the king's English, being here next to my English teacher, Alex, I had no trouble preaching in front of my Bible professors and all the history professors. But when my English teacher showed up, I was as nervous as you could be.
Elaine Bunn Leads in Prayer for the Nation, Seeking God's Mercy and Guidance
but she was praying for me, and she said, you do good, Bert. So I was. We
Alex McFarland better get our verb tenses right today, shouldn't we?
Bert Harper Right. But we've asked Elaine to come and pray, and, we're going to have a prayer from one of our staff each segment this hour. And, we are thankful for that. Elaine, thank you for being with us.
Anne Cockrell Thank you. It's wonderful to be, at an organization where we can pray.
Bert Harper Isn't that true? Amen. And we do. Well, we're going to ask you to start us off in prayer. Would You.
Anne Cockrell I'd be glad to. I would ask the listeners, to join me, please. Dear God, we come to you today. We thank you, number one, for being who you are and what you are to us. And I know in First Peter 2:10, you tell us once you were not a people, but now you are a people of God. Once you have not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. And, Lord, I ask for that mercy and grace over our nation today. I ask that as a collective community of, believers, not just here at afa, but around our country, around other parts of the world, that they would join with me to pray. And we will pray this. Lord, we pray for our country as a whole. Yes, we're in. We reside in the state of Mississippi, but we pray for our country as a whole. We pray for how the world responds to us today in these outcomes. And we pray that you'd let us remain still enough to listen to your word and your direction, be prepared to speak and live on your behalf. God, we pray, of course your will will be done. We know that today's outcomes are no surprise to you, and we just rest in that, Lord, and we trust you. In your name I pray. Amen.
Bert Harper Elaine, thank you.
Anne Cockrell Thank you for having me.
Bert Harper Well, thank you so much, and we appreciate it. She's the better half of the duo, and, we'll meet the other half in the second segment. But we appreciate, Elaine so much. Amen. Well, Alex, we have people that have called in, but kind of set the stage.
The Power of Prayer and Voting: Encouragement to Intercede for the Land
Ah, prayer matters, doesn't it?
Alex McFarland Oh, my goodness, it does. You know, I remember reading a quote, more is wrought by prayer than this world could ever know. And, you know, Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that we ought to always pray and not give up or faint. And so prayer matters. I want to tell you, it matters to vote. You know, faith without works is dead. But, you know, the pundits, the pollsters, and the people that are predicting what they predict, that maybe that's their job. But I want to tell you, the Bible says that, as the rivers of water, the Lord can turn, but the heart of a king, the Lord can turn an election. So we, the church, we are Christ ambassadors. We are to pray. And like I read in first, Timothy 2:2. Well, one through three, really. First Timothy 2:1 through three, we are to intercede. That means to pray on behalf of our land. And that's what we're doing now. If you want to join in and, be on the air and pray that Number you may call in the. The board is populating with calls, but it's triple 858-98840.
Bert Harper With that in mind, we're staying in the state of Mississippi. I say stay because that's where Elaine was from.
Courtney Calls in to Pray for Revival and Transformation in the Nation
And it is. Courtney. Courtney. Thank you for calling today.
Bert Harper yeah, I
Caroline just wanted to pray for our nation.
Bert Harper Well, thank you for calling and go right ahead.
Caroline Dear heavenly Father, we come before you today humbly asking for revival in our nation. We recognize our hope is not ultimately in political powers, but in you, dear God, and in you alone. Awaken the hearts of our leaders. Give them wisdom and humility and a genuine desire to serve the people. Remove corruption, greed, hatred and deception. Replace them with truth, justice, compassion and righteousness. In your name I pray. Amen.
Bert Harper Amen.
Reflections on Prayer's Impact and the Call for Desperate Prayer for the Nation
Thank you for your heart. Alex, we've got people out there that love the Lord, love our country, and they're interceding and praying and voting as well. It's great to hear from folks like that, isn't it?
Alex McFarland Amen. That. That was powerful. That was. That was so powerful. And, let me just say, honestly, the ball as, a. Ah. Man said to me, the ball's in our court. I mean, you know, I think, God is willing to rule and overrule. God is willing to intervene. But I think, Bert, we got to show God that we want it.
Bert Harper Amen.
Alex McFarland Don't you think?
Bert Harper Well, let me say the woman with the issue of blood, she was desperate, and there needs to be some desperation. And, I think we're at that time. Well, let's continue to go. That number is 888-589-8840. We have lines that are open for prayers and for prayer requests. We're specifically asking to pray for our nation, our churches, our leaders. And, we go to Texas and talk to David. David, you're on. Go right ahead.
David from Texas Prays for the Church, the Nation, and Righteous Leadership
Caroline Thank you, Bert. My heavenly Father, I join with my brothers and sisters in Christ to come before your throne, to petition you, Lord, on behalf of your church, your body, that we would live righteously and obediently and love you. And, Father, we pray for the people of the United States and for our country, the country you founded. Father, we pray for your mercy. We repent for our sins corporately. We pray that you would glorify yourself and push back the darkness. we pray, Father, that you would guide our leaders to help the people flourish and allow us to continue to live peaceful and quiet lives and proclaim your gospel. We love you. We Bless you in Jesus name. Amen.
Bert Harper Amen. Thank you, David. Amen.
Alex McFarland Praise God.
Bert Harper Pray as these pray.
Laurie from Iowa Prays for Revival, Shares Family History, and Asks for Guidance
And you can pray along with them. I know I am, and you can as well. They're voicing the prayer, but we are standing in agreement. Thank you, David. Okay, let's go to Iowa. From Mississippi, Texas, and now Iowa. Lori, thank you for calling. Go right ahead.
Caroline Thank you. Dear Heavenly Father, I just lift up the stage, Lord God, and put it in your hands. I love America, Lord, and I'm so grateful for my dad's family that left Russia to escape communism. And now we have it here, Lord. And I just. I just pray, Lord Jesus, you would bring revival to us, open our hearts so that we can see the light of your love, Lord Jesus, that we can just, share your wonderful message of salvation. And, Lord, I pray for a revival, not just in America, Lord, but the whole world needs you, Jesus, and we just lift that up to you. And, Lord, I want to pray for. I have so many unsaved family members, Lord, and I don't know if I have the right words because they just
Linda tell me to be quiet. Basically,
Caroline that I'm pushing religion and I'm not Jesus. Help me to have the right words to let them know how much you love them and how much you have changed my life. Lord, I just give you praise and glory that you love us and you want the best for us. Thank you that we can come to you in prayer. In your name I pray. Amen.
Bert Harper Amen. Laura, don't. Don't hang up. We got. We got about a minute and a half where we have to go to break.
Discussion on Love for America, Prayer, and Voting as a Spiritual Discipline
What year did. Was it your grandparents or parents that your dad that came from Russia? My dad. Your dad.
Caroline Family. My dad and his mom and dad.
Bert Harper Do you remember the year or what year did they come?
Caroline It was right around the time of the revolution. I'm trying to think. I want. I want to say 1918, but I don't think. 7.
Bert Harper It was 1917 is when the revolution was, and it could have been 18 after that. We're glad you're here, Lori. Let me share with you and what you've done and prayed. you've let people know, what, what, what. Where they came from and, what God wanted. well, my dad
Caroline loved America. He learned English. He opened a business. He taught us to love this country, you know, and. And he was grateful for what this country gave him.
Bert Harper Amen.
Caroline You know, and. And I just. I. I don't understand the hatred that people have for America.
Bert Harper Yeah. amen, Lori. Thank you for calling, Alex. What a blessing it is to hear from people out there that listen to us and we get to pray with them. What a blessing this is, isn't
Alex McFarland it? This is such a blessing. And let me tell you, we love the United States of America. We thank God for this country. So call in and pray. We're praying together. We're. We got heaven on speed dial. So you call in and pray with us today. How about that, Bert?
Bert Harper Amen. We'll be back with more prayer time after this.

Returning to Prayer Calls and Introducing Guest Prayer Warriors from AFA Staff
Welcome back to explore the word. Things change when people pray. And that's what Bert and Brent and myself were asking people to pray for America. we're going to go back to those, phone calls, but I just want to share a very famous verse. and this verse, it was amazing in May when I, was in Washington and we were doing the. Read the Bible through. This is the verse that President Trump read. Second Chronicles 7:14. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. Listen, what God says, he'll do. God says, I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land. 2nd Chronicles 7:14. Bert, we need to pray because we need the Lord's intervention.
Bert Harper We really do. And we're praying for that. And that's the reason we're making this the whole hour, a day of prayer. And we've asked different, individuals who are part of our staff here in Tupelo, Mississippi at AFA AFR to come in and pray. We've got more prayer warriors than this, but we, we selected these three. Just feeling like, well, they come from different areas and livelihoods. And our, our next prayer warrior here is Chuck Bunn.
Chuck Bunn, Former Law Enforcement, Leads in Prayer for the Nation and Its Leaders
Chuck, thank you for being with us, brother.
Chuck Bunn Thank you. Thank you for having me.
Bert Harper Chuck, you're in charge of security here. You and Kevan Parker and some other Guys, y' all do an awesome job, and you travel a lot and. And help take care of everything. We appreciate what you do. You were in law enforcement for how long?
Chuck Bunn 25 years.
Bert Harper 25 years. That's one of the reasons we got him, Alex. We wanted to have. Man, we're talking about somebody that's vested in the protection of America. How. Praying and voting are important part of that, isn't it?
Caroline Absolutely.
Bert Harper We do thank him for his service. Alex, go ahead. Before we ask Chuck to pray.
Alex McFarland Yeah, yeah. listen, everywhere I go, whenever I get the chance, I thank law enforcement officers because, they do such a vital service for our nation. And, Chuck, you know those voices that say defund the police or abolish law enforcement? That's just not even rational, is it?
Caroline unfortunately, it's not. in that 25 years, you know, you
Caroline do see a lot of the worst of the worst. however, I will say that, we put our hope and faith in something beyond man.
Bert Harper amen.
Caroline Because of that, we just keep fighting the good fight.
Bert Harper Amen. M. Well, we've asked Chuck to lead us in prayer. And again, what we're saying is each individual pray, and you can join them in prayer. Some of you where you can say amen and praise the Lord. I tend to do that, but on radio, it just doesn't work as well. But, I agree that we need to pray. So, Chuck, would you lead us in this prayer, brother? Yeah.
Caroline Let us pray, Father. Lord, we just come to you now, Lord. And, I just pray that the people of this country, each
Chuck Bunn one of
Caroline us will turn from our own
Chuck Bunn selfish desires and just seek
Caroline your will in each of our lives. Lord, I pray for our elected
Chuck Bunn officials
Caroline and our leaders.
Chuck Bunn Lord, I
Caroline just
Chuck Bunn pray that as they carry out their duties that they've been appointed to, Lord, I just pray that they will just seek your wisdom, and that you will just bestow that upon them. Lord, I pray for our country. I pray that this country will return to our Christian heritage and our roots in which it was founded upon, Lord. Lord, I lift up our churches and our pastors. I just pray that they will just be obedient to the Word and they will be bold to speak the truth in this day and age, Lord.
Caroline And
Caroline Lord, I just pray that, regardless of what happens today, what the results are, Lord, that we know that we just put our faith and trust in you and only in you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Alex McFarland Thank you,
Bert Harper Chuck.
John from Mississippi Prays for God's Mighty Intervention in the Land and Elections
Appreciate you, brother. More than you know.
Caroline Thank y'. All.
Bert Harper Amen, and I
Alex McFarland bless you, my friend.
Bert Harper And Chuck and Elaine there, man, they are involved in their local church here in Tupelo, Mississippi Parkway Baptist Church, a strong Bible teaching preaching church. And it just serves the Lord there. It's awesome to have people here that we work with at afa, afr and they are ministering and serving in their local churches. So we and want that to happen. Alex, you ready to go to the phone lines and get more prayer requests and
Alex McFarland do. Where shall we go next?
Bert Harper Let's go to Mississippi. And it's Jon. Jon, thank you for calling.
Caroline Thank you, sir. I appreciate it.
Bert Harper Would you pray?
Caroline Yes, sir. Father. God, we just come to you in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And we thank you that it is a strong name. It is the only name. Bring our petitions, our praises and our supplications. And Lord, we appeal to you on behalf and through and for the glory and honor of Jesus. Lord, to move mightily in our land. Lord, we ask you to, move upon your people. We ask you to mobilize and help and heal your church. We ask for your leaders, Lord, municipal leaders, church leaders, leaders across the land, Lord, not to lose heart, but to continue to be strengthened. We pray, Father, for the family. We ask, Father, that it would be strengthened. And Lord, we thank you for your rich blessings that you have bestowed upon us in so many ways. We do thank you for this country, Lord, and we pray during this election that your name would be honored and that you would be praised and that, Father, that you would have the, outcome that you want. Lord, we do not look to men or to governments. We look to our Savior for our, direction and for our hope and for our future. But nonetheless, you bid us and tell us and that we are to, pray for the authorities and that we are to support and to, play our part. And so, Lord, we just give you this election, we give you this country, we give you your people, and we appeal to you and we beg you, Lord, to move mightily and to glorify your precious and holy name. We ask it in Christ's name. Amen.
Bert Harper amen. Jon. Jon, thank you so much for calling in, for praying and standing with us. Go ahead, Alex.
Meredith from Georgia Prays for Righteousness, Protection, and God's Will in the Election
Alex McFarland I believe the Exploring the Word listeners know how to pray. What do you think?
Bert Harper I agree. And they're calling in, more people are praying. And one of those is Meredith from Georgia. Meredith, thank you for calling.
Caroline Hey, how are y' all doing?
Bert Harper Doing well. What part of Georgia are you from? There's a really Important election going over there today. Where are you from in Georgia?
Caroline Right in the middle in Warner Robins.
Bert Harper Okay. We've been there. And, But, Meredith, you want to pray?
Caroline I would love to pray. Thank you. I'm driving, so I'm gonna be careful praying, so.
Bert Harper Amen. We'll be praying for you as you drive and pray. Go ahead.
Caroline Thank you. Oh, Lord Jesus, I come before you today with a humble heart, knowing that you alone are sovereign and over every nation, every leader and every authority, Lord, your word reminds us that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. In Proverbs, Lord, I pray your truth would prevail over destroy deception and righteousness over wickedness and wisdom over foolishness, Lord. Father, you know the hearts, the motives, the intentions of every person seeking a position of influence and power and authority in our country, in our states, in our communities. And nothing is hidden from you, God. But where there are plans, Lord, that oppose your word, please frustrate them.
Alex McFarland Yes.
Caroline Where there are schemes rooted in corruption and dishonesty or evil, God, expose them. Where influence or resources or power is used to advance unrighteousness, God, restrain them. And close doors that you have not opened and open doors that no man can shut. And, Lord, we ask that you remove the power of harmful counsel. Let no weapon formed against your purposes prosper. We ask God that you raise up leaders who fear you, love truth, defend justice, protect the innocent, and govern with humility, God, and integrity. And Father, as I pray for those whose beliefs and actions stand against your word, remind me of what Jesus taught to love my enemies and pray for those who oppose me. God, help me to hate what is evil, but not hate people.
Bert Harper Yes,
Caroline because you created them. All of them. All of us. But, God, give me a heart that desires repentance rather than destruction. For all of us, Lord, transform rather than revenge and God salvation more than condemnation. We humbly ask you to change hearts, Lord. Open blinded eyes. Bring conviction where there is rebellion and humility, where there's pride and expose truth, where there's deception, especially in our government, just as early believers prayed in Acts. Only you see the threats that we don't. But we give you the glory for all. Strengthen us. Awaken your people, Lord, search my heart. Search all of our hearts. Remove any bitterness, fear, anger or pride that would cause me to pray for my flesh rather than from your spirit. I do not place my hope in a political party, Lord, or a candidate or the outcome of any election. Lord, you know my hope is in you. Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of Lords. And whatever happens today, remind us that you are still on your throne. Your kingdom cannot be shaken, your truth cannot be overturned, and your purpose cannot be defeated. May your will be done in our nation and our government and our community. And most importantly, most importantly, Lord, in our hearts we love you. And in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray.

Caroline Hey, great afternoon. Praise God. Just wanted to, just call in and pray, over California and the state. I have my beautiful wife Linda here with me that the Lord brought in my life. So we're just going to pray. Father God, we thank you for this day. We thank you for everything you're doing in this day. We thank you, Lord. And we ask for clarity as we pray and as we vote today. Lord Jesus. Lord, as the measures in California are back and forth and they're not clear, in Jesus name, we ask you that you give us clarity. We ask you to, even for all the voters across the country, to give them eyes like an eagle to see what's in front of them and, and what's being, you know, manipulated and deceit it in the name of Jesus. So, Father God, we thank you for this day. We thank you that you are the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, and we, we trust in you. I thank you for my relationship with you, and I pray that every voter is having a relationship with you. Spirit of conviction, spirit of Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, the mighty name of Jesus.
Alex McFarland Amen.

Caroline Yes, good afternoon.
Prayer for Texas Amidst Election Concerns and a Reminder to Vote and Pray
dear Father, this, election. There's so much rides on this election. The implications are great. And, I think of Pontius Pilate when he was examining the Lord Jesus and he said, why do you keep quiet? Don't you realize that I have the power to release you or I have the power to put you to death? And, Jesus, broke his silence and he said, pontius Pilate, you have no authority, none, unless it was given to you by God Almighty. And so, Lord, as Jesus rested in the destiny of a human being, knowing that God would override whatever that Pontius Pilate. So, Lord, we acknowledge that, no matter what happens, that there's no congressman, president, senator, or, mayor, anybody has any authority unless that it was given by God Almighty, either for chastisement of the nation or for the furtherment pleasure of the Almighty God of the nation. So we acknowledge your authority. Yes, God Almighty's authority, as Jesus Christ did at his hearing.
Bert Harper Amen. amen. Praise God. Praying for Michigan. Very important. Thank you, brother. I appreciate that. Well, Alex, let's go to Texas. And it is. Sylvia. Sylvia, go right ahead. Another important out. well, all of them are, but Texas is one of those going either way. Sylvia, thank you for calling.
Caroline Oh, hello.
Bert Harper Yes, you're on.
Caroline Yeah. Okay. Well, I had gotten a, text just a few minutes ago from my sister, and, it was about a, fraudulent ballots that the FBI found in Houston, Texas, that were all made out for Democrats here in Texas. So I want to thank the Lord for our good people and the FBI and the government that they found this
Alex McFarland kind
Caroline of thing. And yes, and the, caller that had called that she was praying for all of the, leaders and governments and people. I really, I really praise the Lord that we have found these fraudulent votes, that they won't be counted in
Bert Harper this case. Amen, Sylvia. Amen. We're going, Father. I'll take Sylvia, and say thank you again for our law enforcement. We had Chuck praying who was involved, and now we got others. And I pray those fraudulent ballots, if they're in Texas or wherever they might be, Father, that they'd be, found out and discounted. And Father, we're trusting you and asking you to do this work that only you can do in Jesus name. Amen. Well, we got about a minute left in this segment, so I'm, going to ask Marty, Marty, can you zoom in on this part?

More Prayer Calls and Introducing Fred Jackson, Director of News
Dr. Jessica Peck We have and Jesus, Our sin and grief to bed.
Caroline What privileges to
Dr. Jessica Peck carry. Everything to God.
Bert Harper Amen. I was wondering, waiting for that last line. Everything. Nothing is too big. Nothing is too small.
Alex McFarland Was that Mahalia Jackson?
Alex McFarland That was actually Mahalia Jackson. That made me feel a lot more like it was a prayer meeting with that.
Bert Harper Ah, well, we're going to try to get to as many people praying. And, let me just suggest this. Those of you that are listening, make your prayers precise. And we want to get as many on as we can. But we've asked Fred Jackson, who is the director of our news here at American Family News, to come in and pray. And the reason we had Elaine, we wanted a lady to come in and share her heart.
Fred Jackson Prays for Election Outcomes, God's Sovereignty, and Faith in Christ
We had Chuck Bunn in as our law enforcement officer for 25 years, and Fred chose to become an American citizen.
Fred Jackson Well, I haven't become a citizen. I've been living here.
Bert Harper You've been living here legally?
Fred Jackson Legally. I want to make that point. Okay. And I did not vote today. you got to be a citizen to vote,
Bert Harper and you have not done that. No. I'm not going to let you have my sticker then. I don't know. But tell us, a little bit. in America, do it as precise as you can and then pray. Why are you so glad to be an American?
Fred Jackson Why am I so glad to be here in America? Because I believe God has blessed this nation tremendously. I believe he allowed its creation for all the freedoms that we have in this country and, what this country has meant to the missions, work around the world.
Alex McFarland Yes. Amen.
Fred Jackson I tell you, it's tremendous what has gone out here. And, you know, knowing America's background, how it got started, and where we have been. And the decision point we are at today when I, you know, we've been covering this election campaign and we are in a country right now that I would say is very divided. Now, has God given up his sovereignty over in America? Absolutely not. But, we are at a time when I think the people of this country are making very critical decisions. Amen. Decisions that will have a very, impactful, outcome. And we're anxious to see what happens this evening. When I say anxious from a reporter's point of view, you know, covering an election campaign can be, tedious. So we're glad to get to this point tonight. Amen. Because we'll find out the verdict tonight.
Bert Harper We are. Well, would you mind leading us in this prayer, Fred? Thank you for being with us and being here and praying, brother.
Fred Jackson Hey, I want to pray for the election, but I also want to pray about the,
Bert Harper crash. Nine people.
Fred Jackson Nine people there. But I got information today about the captain, a 55 year old man. He was a born again believer and he was heard on the transmission, shortly before the plane crashed saying the Lord's Prayer. But we just put us on our site, afn.net, it's an associated Press story. But they quote people who know him who say he was a born again, ah, and dedicated believer.
Bert Harper Amen. Praise God. He's in heaven now.
Fred Jackson He's in heaven now. Along with those two precious children that were on that plate. All right, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we just come before you today. Just it is a time, I know there's a lot of anxiety out there about election results. But Lord, we know, we know that you are sovereign. We know. What's that, you know, the results, of what is going to happen this evening. Nothing takes you by surprise. But Lord, at the same time, regardless of what happens this evening, Lord, help us, help us to respond with hope. Lord, people will be looking for us as born again believers. Lord, how we are reacting to this. And Lord, we have to give people, encouragement that you are still in control and that we can be lights, regardless of what happens. Lights to point people towards you. And Lord, that's our prayer. That we would, regardless of what the results are, that we would be faithful to do that. That we would be faithful, Lord, to say our hope is in you. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. Our hope is that you're returning soon. And we know that. And someday, you will set up your kingdom and there will be no questioning about the results of that kingdom. So Lord, we live in that hope. But also Lord, we praise you in finding out the information about the captain of this plane that crashed on Sunday, Lord, that he's a born again believer. And our prayer, Lord, there were others. We know the children are with you in heaven right now. But others on that plane were also, Lord, that they're part of your kingdom now, that they were born again. But Lord, if not, that relatives and others, Lord, would look at this tragedy and understand that this life is very brief and they have to make the all important decision, Lord, to trust you as their personal Lord and Savior. And that is our prayer today for each and every one listening right now. We ask all this in your precious name. Amen. Amen.
Bert Harper Thank you, Fred.
Linda from South Carolina Prays for Specific Answers and God's Will in the Election

Caroline And Lord,
Caroline I just pray for those that do not support the beliefs that we do. And that's just based on your word. Father, we pray that you're going to change those hearts, especially those that were speaking against you and against your word. So Father, just be with everyone voting who's those who still haven't voted, Lord, just help them to make the right selections. And Lord, we just trust all of this in your name. In Jesus name I

Ken from Louisiana Prays for Non-Voters to Step Out in Faith and Vote
Caroline Yes, I'd first like to make thanks for the elderly man walking in with a walker that got tired and sat down and a man immediately walked up behind him and turned him around and pushed him in and I saw him just now push them out. Father, I thank you that you're working in the lives of many people to do exactly
Caroline the same. Those that are elderly, those that are
Caroline incapable, Father, that you move on
Caroline other people to Bring them so that their message, that your message
Caroline can be made for us, brought forth in our
Caroline midst.
Caroline Father,
Caroline I
Caroline pray especially for the people who have yet to decide to vote, Lord, that you tremble in their couches right now in their chairs, Father God, and you cause them to step out in faith, knowing that you're calling them Lord God. That it's not just a, conviction in their brain, Father God, but they're answering your call to stand up and to be counted for you, Father God, to stand up. If the people who believe in Jesus Christ will get out of their seats and come and vote, then your righteousness will be made known. And we trust you to do this in the name
Caroline of
Caroline Jesus
Caroline Christ,

Kelly, thank you for calling.
Caroline Thank you for this opportunity. Heavenly Father, you are so gracious. You are the God, the only God, the true God, and all else is from the enemy and man made. Lord, you say where two or more are gathered in your name, there you are. And today your children are gathered all across this great nation created by you. And for you, I, pray and lift up to you those confused about who to vote for or whether or not to even vote. And we're thinking Republican and Democrat when we should be considering this as good versus evil. God, I know you are sovereign and I am lifting you up. But especially in Virginia, those voting on lights. Father, we have a constitutional amendment on the ballot that, if it passes, would allow the murder of your babies anytime for any reason during pregnancy. And my heart just breaks for them. And Father, I just pray that you protect these children.
Alex McFarland Yes,
Caroline Lord, this
Caroline great nation is yours. And if you can forgive Nineveh, when Nineveh, bow to you and ask for forgiveness and realize their sin. I am praying, God, that you give us grace here, not only in Virginia, but across the United States. And I just give you thanks, Father, because it's to you all the glory, no matter what happens, you already know, and you're putting it in place in Jesus holy name. Amen.
Bert Harper Amen. And amen. Wow. A lot of important, decisions are being made, nationwide, not just in the individuals, but, in those laws that initiatives. And we're praying. Thank you, Kelly, for reminding us. Let's go to Texas. And it's Demetrius. Demetrius, thank you for calling. Go right ahead.
Demetrius from Texas Prays for People to Take a Stand on Biblical Principles
Caroline First of all, I want to say the. Your brother, our brother that was, an officer for 25 years, right?
Bert Harper Yes, sir.
Caroline I'll say thank you for his service. And it's crazy, but I called several times. I did 25 years in prison, so ironically, here I am. And thankful for our law enforcement. Thank him for his service.
Bert Harper Amen.
Alex McFarland Amen.
Caroline 1 just want to pray for the voting here in Texas. It's heavy over here, and, I'm going to go ahead and pray. Blessed heavenly Father, in your son's holy, precious name. We thank you and praise you, Father, for who you are and what you've done for us in this nation. Father God. Father, I just want to pray over the people, Father, that you would, And light a fire in their hearts. Those that are sitting on the sidelines and don't want to vote. Father. Gun. And think that they should just sit there and wait, Father, that you would show them, Father God, that it is time for us to take a stand for what you've founded this country on, on biblical principles, Father God. And then, Father, that we shouldn't Take this lightly and then you would just send other brothers and sisters to speak with them if necessary, Father. But I know you can speak to the heart and get them to the polls. Father. God. But more importantly, Father, you and you alone sit on that throne regardless of what the outcome may happen. Father, you know all things. And you allow whatever you. Whatever you allow to come to pass. Glorify your name and all of these things in Jesus name. Amen.
Bert Harper Thank you, Demetrius. Amen. 25 years in prison. 25 years. What? That was something to hear. Thank you, Demetrius. Let's go to Virginia. Yeah, let's go back to Virginia and talk to Susan.
Susan from Virginia Prays for Mercy, Healing for Her Grandson, and National Revival
Susan, go ahead.
Linda Hi, good afternoon everybody. Thank you, Susan, much for my call. I would like to follow up Kelly and just pray for our nation and forward. We have, Lord, we have sinned against you greatly. We have our children, your ways and we've been a stiffness people to be come to this path. In your judgment it deserved. But as you told Nehemiah, that this is we I'm praying for on behalf of those who don't know their right hands from their left and for those who know you and love you and those will come to know you and love you. We deserve your judgment lightly. But I pray on behalf of us and the innocent Lord, that you will have mercy on us. Thank you for your mercy and your grace and for who you are. You are the Lord Almighty, creator and sustainer of all things. And then I ask for your mercy for my grandson, Ansel. He's five years old, severely autistic. And I ask for supernatural, healing, and if not, then through human healing. He's been like this for three years. And I really, really need your help, Lord, that you will overcome all barriers and just direct our ways, Lord. That you will heal this young boy who is innocent. And I know I want him to grow up to love you and to know you, Lord. And I thank you Lord, for all these things. In Jesus Christ name,
Bert Harper Amen. Amen. Susan, thank you so much. Irvin from North Carolina. Our time has run short. If you'd call us back, I know you have a comment to make. we'll take it. But today, a day of prayer. We wanted our prayers to reside loud and clear.
Concluding Thoughts on Prayer, Voting, and Seeking Revival for America
We're praying for our country. Alex, what a program. Thank you and Brent, for saying, hey, we need to have a day of prayer. Thank you, brother.
Alex McFarland May the name of the Lord be praised. let folks continue to pray. Pray for America, Pray for the outcomes of these elections and, pray for our president and leaders. Bert, I'm thinking about so many stories traveling as I have. I've met so many veterans and so, so many people that came here by choice, and they love America. And we need to pray for our nation, don't we?
Bert Harper We really do. And we. We appreciate you listening today. If you haven't voted, if you're on your way home, go vote first, and then go home. Go vote and pray and seek the Lord while he may be found again. We'll be back on track tomorrow, and we'll be in Hosea Start right reading chapter eight. And, we're going to be covering that tomorrow. Until then, keep praying and asking God to bring revival to America.

Bert Harper And Chuck and Elaine there, man, they are involved in their local church here in Tupelo, Mississippi Parkway Baptist Church, a strong Bible teaching preaching church.

So, Father God, we thank you for this day. We thank you that you are the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, and we, we trust in you.

Don't we, Alex?
Alex McFarland We do. You know, faith, without works is Dead. And our. Our faith is in the Lord. Our hope is in Jesus. But we need to do what we can do. And what we can do is vote.

That it's not just a, conviction in their brain, Father God, but they're answering your call to stand up and to be counted for you, Father God, to stand up. If the people who believe in Jesus Christ will get out of their seats and come and vote, then your righteousness will be made known. And we trust you to do this in the name

And for you, I, pray and lift up to you those confused about who to vote for or whether or not to even vote. And we're thinking Republican and Democrat when we should be considering this as good versus evil. God, I know you are sovereign and I am lifting you up. But especially in Virginia, those voting on lights. And then, Father, that we shouldn't Take this lightly and then you would just send other brothers and sisters to speak with them if necessary, Father.
