American Family Radio is encouraging people to give during its Share a Thon
>> Caroline: I'd like to share with you what AFR means to me and my husband. We tune into AFR every day without fail. We are a, no TV, computer or iPhone family, so you know where our daily news and updates come from. We find we are more knowledgeable listening to AFA than most people who have a steady diet with major TV networks. Thank you, afr.
>> Jeff Chamblee: In Matthew 22:37 40, Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments. It's Share a Thon, on American Family Radio. Call now 877-616-2396. That's 877-616-2396 or give [email protected] make your pledge and help us love God and love people during Share a Thon.
>> Bert Harper: It is Share a Thon. This is the spring edition, and we're so thankful you're listening. And, two times every year, we interrupt our regular women to pass the offering plate is what Tim Wildmon says. And so we give you the opportunity to share in the ministry of afr. You listen, you pray, you promote. But now it is a time that we say it is an opportunity to give. This is Bert Harper along with Alex McFarland, and it is exploring the word, but it's Share a Thon the spring edition, 2026. Alex Charathon's always an exciting time. Three days in the spring, three days in the. Where we get to listen to people give their testimonies of what God has done through afr. and the others hear that, and they say, man, I want to make a difference as well. So people can make a difference by calling 877-616-2396. And Alex, we've, been asked by our boss, Jonathan Coker, to please do our best to ask people to keep those phones ringing. Are you ready?
>> Alex McFarland: Let's do it. Let's do it. And what a joy to collaborate together, because that's what this is. Sheriff ON we are partnering together to help people hear about Jesus, to be saved, to, evangelize people, to equip the church, to restore families, to equip husbands and wives to stay together and raise their kids. Bert, this is nationally, culturally and internationally a gospel ministry bearing much, much fruit. And that's why, you know, because God's hand is on this ministry. And we've Seen it so much that, you know, we don't mind saying to people, come join in. Be a part of what God is doing to bring the world to Christ. And that's why we would ask people to give.
>> Bert Harper: It really is. And another reason right now we're in the middle of a $25,000 challenge. That means that people or a person has given this money and want to use that to encourage others to give. I've noticed people who have especially have the gift of giving. They have the gift also of encouraging others and showing the joy of giving. So we want you to do that. And I just tell you, Jesus did notice the widow in what she gave. And according to what it says, he also noticed what other people gave because he said she had given the. The most. So, so that's so important. And we want you to be a part of this.
Our theme this year is love God, love people
And again, our, our theme this year is love God, love people. It comes from Matthew 22, 37, 40, but right before that. And we, we've went over that, before because we've talked about it when they ask, you know, well, let me ask you, who is. What is the greatest commandment? they were trying to treat Jesus and Jesus just and loving God. And I'm using the short version. You need to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. And he said, I want to share this with you too. The second one to that is love your neighbor as yourself. And the whole law hinges on these two, Alex. That's, what AFR Ah does. We love God, we love people. And we share that with them as well, don't we?
>> Alex McFarland: We do. Loving God and loving people. And listen, if you've come to Christ, you've been saved. You love the Lord, you've got to love and care for the souls of people, too. And one of the ways, I mean, my goodness, talk about, you know, there's a phrase roi, return on investment. Millions and millions every day are hearing biblical content, the Gospel of Jesus through the work of AFA and afr. And so, let's give that number out. There is a $25,000 challenge. A group of very faithful supporters have, donated money, and they're challenging all of us to come along and give.
There's a $25,000 challenge going on right now
And so we would ask this hour and Bert, before I throw it back to you for the number, the Exploring the Word audience. Traditionally. And folks, Bert and I, we, we're kind of competitive. Ah, the Exploring the Word audience. They come through, don't they, Bert? During Sheriffon.
>> Bert Harper: Listen, they've done it, ah, time and time and time again and again, that number. And we're going to try to give it quite often because we hear people say, okay, I was in the car and I heard the number, but now I'm out of the car and I need. So that's the reason we give the number so often. It is 8776-1623-9687-7616, 2396 or go [email protected] and by the way, we, we give back, again, just to let you know, it's more blessed to give than to receive. So here at afr, we say if you give, we want to share in that. And this year, if you give $150 or more, you'll get a packet of the 10 of the Constitution of the United States. The forward is by Steven McDowell telling you about it. But if you give a great commission partner and give $30 or more, you will get, this Constitution, little constitution has the U.S. constitution in it. Plus you'll get this wristband that says celebrating 250 years. And on the other side, in God We Trust, we, we would love to send that to you. And again, it's not out giving, but it is an appreciation because that's the way AFR operates. We love our listeners and we want to encourage them, but we also want to equip them. And so, Alex, their gift back is equipping them to know the Constitution and to celebrate our country for 250 years. I think that gift is a neat way to express our love for them and our country as well.
>> Alex McFarland: Well, again, that number, if you would call it right now, please call while you're thinking about it. It's 877-616-2396. You can give securely [email protected] hey, if you call that number, you will talk to a very friendly voice and it will just make your day. And your gift in any amount matters, it really does. There's a $25,000 challenge going on right now and you could give, no doubt everybody listening right now. Just a gift would help us equal and meet to that challenge. But as Bert said, if you would give $150 or more, you'll get this book of the Constitution. And, Steven McDowell wrote the forward. I've shared the stage with him at a few AFA events. He wrote a very, very wonderful book called America's Providential History. And, he is one of these experts on our country, the godly founding of our country. And you will be Blessed and very much encouraged by reading that, forward he's written to this booklet of our Constitution. But if you pledge $30 or more a month, you get the Constitution book and the wristband, about our nation's history. Bert, did you say for the. The monthly givers that there are Great Commission partners, Is that right?
>> Bert Harper: That's exactly right. And there's a lot of advantages to that. So you want to be a part of that, and you make that pledge. It happens automatically. They may get more information from you so that you can get all the information, but be a part of that by calling 877-616-2396 or go [email protected] now.
American Family Radio listeners share their testimonies in a share a thon
Alex, we also have some listener testimonies, and I'm asking Brent to get it ready, because this is honestly my favorite time of, share a thon to hear the difference God has made through afr. Hon, I don't mean to say this in any negative way about afr. It's not AFR that makes a difference. It's God who makes the difference using afr. And, because of that, we're able to do great things for the Lord. And it's not just equipping, it's not just, informing, but it's also activating. That's part of what we do with our mission statements. So right now, Brandon, we have one ready. Let's hear it. This is Brad. I'm calling from Vidalia, Georgia. I just wanted to call and express my gratitude for American Family Radio. And I've been a, listener since probably the mid-2000s. for the past 10 years, I've been a rural mail carrier with the Postal Service, and I listen to the radio a lot. So, I've gained so much encouragement, so much, hope, so much strength, through listening to afr. And you guys are such a blessing. I appreciate each and every one that I hear on the radio, and I just pray God continue blessing over you guys. God bless. Amen. Alex.
If everybody will do that, we're going to have huge numbers
we've got people who have called in the last, so many minutes, and let me give you the names and locations, and then let me make a challenge with those locations. Okay? Brenda from Fayetteville, North Carolina, died. Dianne from Dublin, Ohio. Gene from Holland, Ohio. Teresa from Victoria, Texas. Diana from Lynnsborg, Kansas, has called in and. And Glenn and Gail from Vicksburg, Mississippi. And Steve from Lincoln, Nebraska. Now, here's my challenge. If Alex has been in your territory, in your town, would you make it known and say, I want to call And I want to make this pledge. And yes, Alex has been in our territory. Now, I want to just tell you, if everybody will do that, as much as Alex has been around in these last years, since he's been connected with afr, we're going to have, towns from all over the United States calling in. And I knew when I said Fayetteville, I said, I guarantee you Alex will get excited about that because that's your territory.
>> Alex McFarland: Yeah, well, 88.7 FMWRA is out there in Fayetteville and Cumberland County. And what a joy. You know, I give God all the glory. Just, a week ago, I was down, near Wilmington, North Carolina, a port city on the ocean. Emerald Isle Chapel by the sea. Pastor Robert Carnegie and, a couple drove up from Atlanta. Drove. And that's not an easy drive, but they said, we just wanted to tell you what AFR means to us and what exploring the Word has done. And so, Bert, you're right. I have been very blessed to crisscross this nation. 2,200 churches in about 30 years. And everywhere I go, literally everywhere I go, people come up and sometimes, you know, quite emotional. They just tell what God has done in their life through the American Family Radio Network and this content. So we would ask you to support everybody. Hey, here's the number. Call, please call while you're thinking about it. Give what you can give. And we are partnering together. It's 877-616-239, 687-76-162396. And, together we're loving, God loving people, telling people the greatest love of all, the love of Jesus it
>> Bert Harper: is, and talking about partnerships. And I always try to get this in every hour that I'm on. We practice this. You partner with us, but we partner with people like Truth for Youth, Bibles, Revival Fire Ministries, giving NewSong Testaments out in public schools where the students can give it out and just share the word of God. We partner with PreBorn, a ministry that's making a difference in crisis pregnancy centers. They get to hear the gospel, but they also see the sonogram and see that child. And 80% of the time, they say, we want that child to be born. We partner with Operation Christmas Child to get the gospel all around the world. And when you partner with us, you're partnering with them as well as other ministries. So make that call at 877-616-2396. The numbers are going up gradually, but we would just love them to really blast off in this next few minutes to make that call and that pledge.
American Family association founder Don Wildman wrote these words long ago
>> Jeff Chamblee: American Family association founder Don Wildmon saw signs of the times long ago. At the turn of the century, he wrote these words which ring even more true today. A m Dark cloud has descended on America. This cloud has left us unable to tell right from wrong. In pursuit of what is called politically correct, tolerant and diverse, we have not only permitted but promoted a way of life that should we continue to follow it, will ultimately destroy this grand experiment we call America. There is a way to lift this cloud of darkness. A, light to show the way. Jesus said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. We need to do the best we can to follow that light and share him with others. A reminder from the American Family Association.
>> Caroline: Yes, hi, my name is Carolyn and I'm calling, literally sort of live on the road type of thing, caring for family, doing a couple states, etc. Etc. And it really blessed me. I just keep you on all the time, middle of the night and you name it 24, 7. But God, bless you all and I really solicit your prayers, continuing and family members who really need, as we all do, need your input from the Lord on a daily basis and for wisdom and going forward in the times that we live in.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Shareathon continues on American Family Radio. call and pledge your support at 877-616-2396. That's 877-616-2396. Or give [email protected] and help us love God and love people on American Family Radio.
>> Bert Harper: You know, one of the things that you hear on exploring the Word, and right now we're not doing our usual format for exploring the Word because it's share a thon. And if you're just now joining us, do we do this two times a year, once in the spring and once in the fall for three days, asking those who are listening and praying for us to join us financially and honestly. It doesn't matter the size of the gift. Honestly. It can be big, it can be small, it can be in between. But we're just asking you to invest in what God is blessing and what he's doing. And one of the things is accountability. Alex, even it came up yesterday when people were talking about what can we do to keep ourselves on track. And you the first that said it and I agreed with you, accountability. AFR is accountable. There's an organization called ecfa, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. And we're a part of that, where they go over our financials and even look in our organization to make sure that we are honest with what we do, that we spend the money where it's supposed to be spent, that we are accountable to them. You're on the board and you know, you get that report every year when I was on the ward would get a report from ECFA giving us a grade or giving us suggestions. And so that accountability, we take it seriously at afr, don't we?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, we do, we do. And by the way, I'm going to give the number then I want to say a word about the, the honesty and ethics which, AFA operates by the number, folks. Here's the number toll free. It's 877-616-239-687-76162396. Or you can give securely online at afr.net and by the way, your financial contributions to this ministry are tax deductible. Now, we would ask for budget and planning purposes if you would give, if you give at least or more, you're going to get the Constitution, resource book with an intro and some helpful information by Steven McDowell. If you would pledge $30 or more a month, you'll get the Constitution book plus a WristBand about America's 250th birthday. You'd be a great commission partner. And so please give. And I've said this, Bert. It's been my joy to be a part of share, a thons for a while. here's the thing. We're afraid of hard work. we're not. this is a group of folks, myself included. We get up early and we stay up late and we love the Lord and we love people coming to Christ. And the gospel is free. No doubt the gospel is free. But it does take resources to deliver that message. And you know, this ministry, there are radio towers and there are satellite dishes and there are microphones and cables and there are, you know, the electricity to keep the lights on and the gospel goes forth. And millions, every week, millions are hearing the biblical worldview. they're hearing truth, not spin or wokeness or distortion or progressivism. They're hearing the truth that birthed this nation, the Western world. Let me just say this, Bert. Now I'm not going to digress too much, but Easter weekend, you know, Sunday was Easter. The world celebrated the resurrection of Christ. my heart was heavy. It was in the news that King Charles AKA Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, now King. He gave a, message for Ramadan a month ago, but it was first time in, like, forever the King of England did not give an Easter message. Queen Elizabeth always gave an Easter message. I mean, folks, we're talking about the growth of Islam and threats of Sharia law in America. We're talking about the loss of everything that has been godly and great and good about this nation for a quarter millennia. And if the Lord doesn't come back soon, what world will our kids and grandkids live in? And so, yes, this is about the Great Commission and proclaiming the gospel, but I want to tell you, Bert, this is a little bit about the survival of our nation. And I'm not going to belabor the point, because I want people to call in and give. You have our promise. We will faithfully proclaim the true word of God. broadcasting events, publishing. We're proclaiming the gospel by every available means to every available person. But would you help us? It's 877-616-2396. That's the number, 877-616-2396. You may give securely [email protected] and Bert, I'll say one thing. I'll throw it back to you. It has been my extreme privilege since the passing of Danceilia, several years ago. Tim Wildmon, it blew me away. he asked me if I would be on the board. An honor beyond words. So my wife and I prayed about it, and I've been on the board, and I just, have been so blessed to see how meticulous, how thorough that the books are seen by so many sets of eyes and account outside independent firms. They do an audit.
Bert Eck says Evangelical Counsel on Financial Accountability is God's money
And then you mentioned Eck for the Evangelical Counsel on Financial Accountability. Let me just say, as we say down south, they are clean as a houndstooth. And Bert, I think that's part of why they're blessing. Every penny is accounted for. Because, Tim, I've. I've heard this from Tim and Walker Wildmon and the board and Walter Billingsley and accounting and so many, that this is God's money. And we do our utmost to handle it God's way. And I think that's why you and, I. We don't mind telling people to give, because this, this ministry, God is blessing it. God's work, because it's done God's way.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. Alex, you. You. Well, you said that well. And we want you to know that. And again, let me give you some names. And places that have given in this time that we've been on. from Pensacola, Florida is Brian. From Birmingham, Alabama is Jennifer. From Dallas, Texas is Steven. From Perry, Georgia, Marie From Canal Winchester, Ohio is Pamela. And notice smaller areas, larger areas, we're ministering to people all across America. And because of the apps, the AFA app and because of all the different actions that we have, you can be a part of it. We have people that listen around the world because of the Internet. So it is powerful. So if you're listening, listening on the Internet, you can still make those calls, you can still go online and you can be a part of it.
Cherry Jones says listening to AFR has inspired him in many ways
So we want to listen to a testimony of someone that has been blessed by God by listening AFR and the difference that God has made in their lives. Let's listen to this.
>> Caroline: Hi, I'm Cheri. I'm originally from Mississippi and now I live in Tennessee. And AFR has been so inspiring that ah, now I have created my own YouTube channel, Cheri Jones, the Mrs. Cheri Jones at, YouTube where I talk about the Lord because, the founder of AFR was such an inspiration to me. And he's like, you know, all ah, we have to do is be faithful. We don't have, have to be perfect or anything. And AFR has inspired me. I learned so much since I've been listening in 2014, up until now and now I have my own family and I am letting them hear the messages on AFR and we're also getting a lot of our political, everything from there and as well as our religious things. I just want to thank you all so much.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. We thank you for calling in. What a blessing it is. And that number, if you would join her because see she by her given earlier, it's made it possible for new listeners to keep listening. That number is 877-616-239-687-76162396 or go [email protected] we're in the middle of a $25,000 challenge. That means they're challenging you to come along them and give and make it real to you as well as them. And Alex, let me tell you, I heard this several years ago. We've done a lot of share a thons but one of the funniest things, this man took his car to, to the mechanic and when he got it back, every one of his settings on his radio was to afr, no matter which one he pressed. And whoever that mechanic was, he had made it his pledge to let everybody know he came in contact with concerning afr. And I'm not saying we should do that, but it's a good way. So make that call at 877-616-2396. We need those phones to ring. I'm watching the numbers. They' going, they're doing all right, but they could do so much better. So we're asking the folks from Texas, from Mississippi, from Alex's home, North Carolina and all over to make that call at 877-616-2396 or go [email protected] we love to know that those phones are ringing during this hour, don't we Alex?
>> Alex McFarland: We really do, Bert. I want to give a shout out to some very special friends of this ministry. One the truckers, a lot of people, you know, locally, regionally, across the country, truckers, they're driving those semis and you and I have groceries, we have the stuff we need, clothes and toothpaste and shampoo. Thanks to the truckers and Bert I have met over the 16 plus years that I've been on the radio. Everywhere I go I meet people and they say, you know, I'm an over the road driver and I listen to AFR and I'll be in the cab of myself I have in church. Amen. And so big shout out for the truckers. Hey, if you appreciate the truckers, how about you give a donation in honor? And that number is 877-616-2396. Okay, another shout out to the farmers and Bert. I, last year I was, it was my great privilege. I was in Iowa, I was in Nebraska, I was in Arkansas, several Arkansas places down in Texas. I've had more than a few tell me that in the cab of their big John Deere or their NewSong Holland or their Fiat Alice or their international. They're in the cab listening to AFR while they're turning the soil and growing our food. And how about a big amen and God bless you for the farmers and yeah, that's near and dear to my heart. I grew up on a chicken farm. But anyway, 877-616-2396. You may give [email protected] Please call now and make an invest so a donation into the gospel work folks. And 877-616-2396. Bert, here, here's the thing that everywhere I go I meet people just all smiles and they say, I feel like I'm part of AFR and I'll Say, well, indeed you are. you and I might be the goers, but praise God for all the senders.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. You got it, Alex. And listen to some of the senders. I love this. I love geography and I love to see where people are from. Daniel from Frisco, Texas, Larry from Lafayette, Indiana, always have a hard time saying, okay, I'm in Louisiana or Indiana or Mississippi, because you say that same name different ways, but they're in Lafayette, Indiana. And Darla from Grand Saline, Texas, Ellen from Mayfield, Kentucky, James from Conway, Arkansas, and from Huntsville, Texas. people are calling from all over the United States. And you make that call at 877-616. Let me go over this. I try to do certain things at, each one of the programs I'm on. And this is our mission here it is. Our mission is to inform, equip and activate individuals and families to transform American culture and to give aid to the church here and abroad in its calling to fulfill the Great Commission. Notice what it says about the church. Aid the church. We're not replacing the church. Although people that can't go to church many times, AFR becomes a way of Bible study and even fellowship because they feel like they're a part of the family. And we agree to that also. Our vision is to help bring about a biblical worldview. Alex, you and I talk about this all the time, and you do it on the road all the time. And these things. AFR is in our DNA. It's part of what we are to share the gospel, to share a, biblical worldview. And when you make that call at 8776 or go [email protected] you're not only encouraging us to keep on doing it, but it helps us to equip others to do it where they are in their churches, hey, in prisons where, where they listen and even have Bible studies around exploring the Word while we're going through a book of the Bible. So, Alex, that call is important. Each person feeling, and it doesn't matter. Say, well, I can't give enough. Listen, God can multiply it, can he?
>> Alex McFarland: Amen. Amen. And let me say this. You know, thank the Lord for the churches and the pastors and the Christian workers and Liz, we're saying this from firsthand experience, but I thank God that the signal of AFR radio is going to, well, for one, in Northern Virginia, just right outside of D.C. i was up there last, fall to preach, and we're being heard in our nation's capital. We're being heard. We just, on Exploring the Word the other day got a call from NewSong York City, and here's the point, through nrb and we're involved with national religious broadcasters. Well, more than 93% of all Americans hear the radio at some point during the week. I mean, and we have, you know, countless multitudes of listeners listening online right now. I happen to know even as we speak week, we have a, an Exploring the Word listener in Romania who just accepted Christ a couple of months ago. And that's wonderful. We have many, many listeners online in Canada. We know that we have had, and probably still do have, in the Middle east, in places like Saudi Arabia. So this is really important, the Gospel, not only proclaiming Jesus, but equipping people to defend the faith and the biblical worldview. Biblical morality, marriage, religious freedom, standing with Israel, the rights of parents. So much is at stake here. really, I'm not overstating it, but there's a lot, a lot on the table these days, and the Gospel is the answer. So we would ask you to invest. And here's the number. Please call it now and make a contribution. It's 8776-1623-9687-7616, 2396. You can give securely [email protected] and of course your financial support of this ministry is tax deductible.
So far, 3,893 have called in to make pledges
>> Bert Harper: Well, Alex, let me just share this with you and getting ready for the break. But so far, 3,893 have called in to make pledges. Now listen, I believe in the next 20 minutes we can go up at least 50 of that. To go to 3950, that'd be 56. I think we could do that. So let's do that. Make that call. 877-61623.
Don Wilemon shares a story about his son and his study
>> Don Wildmon: It's my turn.
>> Bert Harper: Here is your host for my turn, Don Wilemon.
>> Don Wildmon: You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Let me share with you a story that happened to me many, many years ago. My study was located in a storage room, or what was supposed to be a storage room directly behind our home. It was a very small room to begin with. And once I put my books and supplies and machines in it, I could hardly turn around. It was really too small. But it was the best we could come up with at the moment. And I had to bear with it until better days came along. One day I was having one of those days when everything seemed to go wrong. You've had them. I know. We all have. It was a day when I wished, and, most folks around me wished that I had stayed in bed. My desk was covered over with matters that needed my attention. Correspondence was lagging, and there were other matters pressing. Well, I was sitting in my study, half mad at myself and half mad at my lack of space. Then, without knocking, in came my son Timmy, and proceeded to sit down behind me.
>> Alex McFarland: Me.
>> Don Wildmon: I started to turn and tell him there wasn't room for him in the study, But I waited, for I knew that if I spoke at that particular moment, I would be harsh with him. So I went about my work, listening as he began taking paper from the wastebasket and books from the shelf. He nearly lit a fuse when he spoke. Daddy, he said, do you have a pen? Well, I reached into my pocket and gave him my pen. I then tried to continue my work, but it seemed that every time I turned around, I bumped into him. So, my temperature rising, I turned to scold him and send him back into the house. And upon turning, I was stopped cold by what I saw. Timmy had laid out before him some old papers he'd taken from the trash can, some of my books from the bookshelf, and with a pen in hand, he was marking on a sheet of paper he had made himself a makeshift desk that was in something of a mess. Now, most of the time, when Timmy wanted to know what I was doing out in the study, I told him that I am studying. I looked at him there. He paused for a moment and looked up, and after thinking for a few seconds, he began to write again. What are you doing, son? I asked him. He looked me in the eye, as only a son can do, and then gave me his answer with a little grin on his face. I'm studying, Teddy. Well, I didn't say anything else to him. I turned back around and pretended to go back to work. But I didn't do much work. For the next few minutes, I just sat there thinking about how proud I was of my son. It made me feel just as big as a man can get. To know that my son wanted to be like me, to do what I do. Then a greater truth came to me. My creator was telling me that this was really what he wanted from me. He wanted me to be like him. I still think about that often. How good he must feel when we act like him, do what he does, act like we are one of his children. Wouldn't it be a good world, I say to myself, if we wanted to be like him as much as Timmy wanted to be like his father. It sure would.
American Family Radio is holding a Share a Thon to help love others
>> Alex McFarland: This has been my Turn with Don Wildmon, a production of the American Family Association.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Jesus told us to love God with all our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves. It's Share a thon, on American Family Radio. Call 877-616-2396 or give [email protected] make your pledge and help us love God and love people during.
>> Bert Harper: I have something and I want you to answer this. Alex, what do you think Sandy, Mary, Phyllis, Edward, Paul and Andrew have in common?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, they are all investing in the Great Commission to bring the truth to, of the gospel to the world. is that it?
>> Bert Harper: That is right. Ding, ding, ding. And Sandy from Magnolia, Texas, Mary from Natchez, Mississippi, Phyllis from Fairhope, Alabama, Edward from Iowa and Paul from Texas. All these have given and said we want to be a part of it. You make that call 1-877-616-2396 or go online at AFR. Let me just tell you I gave the challenge to be at 3950 at the end of this hour. We're well on our way. Keep ringing those phones and I'm going to hold it down until the end to let you know what the numbers are because and honestly what our president says, Tim, he says I look at the pledges, the number of the pledges more than I do the dollar figure. The reason he says that because the pledges are usually representing a couple, a family and so it's multiplied in that number. So that number is growing. I'll just let you know that. So Alex, we want people to make that call at 877-616-2396 and be a part of this partnership we call American Family Radio, don't we?
>> Alex McFarland: Amen. Amen.
American Family association is seeking donations to celebrate America's 250th birthday
Hey, let me share the mission. Maybe you don't know this and AFR is part of your. But here is the mission and you've heard on some of the recorded clips of the founder is Don Wildmon. He's in heaven now. But here, here's what it says. Quote, the mission of American Family association is to inform, equip and activate individuals and families to transform American culture and to give aid to the church here and abroad in its calling to fulfill the Great Commission. And that mission is a wonderful mission. It's a great mission. It's a mission worth getting behind. And it says this the vision. Here's, here's our vision from God I believe to be a, ah, leading organization in biblical worldview training for cultural transformation. And you know there's all sorts of speakers and presenters. Abe Hamilton and Jenna Ellis and you know Ed Vitagliano and myself and Bert and all of the great figures that I believe God has raised up and through events, publishing and broadcasting we're doing this, we're training, evangelizing and equipping. Now here are some of the core values that drive this ministry and we believe those listening you share these values that need to be promoted in our culture. Well, evangelism and discipleship, bringing people to Christ and then helping them grow up in the knowledge and the ways of the Lord. Marriage and family, the sanctity of human life. Yes, stewardship and understanding how God as we are faithful stewards, he entrusts us with more things and then religious liberty. And Bert, these, these values, they excite me because this is the hope of our nation. Not the hope of, of every soul only, although it is, but it's the hope of America. And here at America's 250th birthday, I'm just going to say this, this is the time for all of us to do what we can folks with our prayers and yes with our giving to at ah, our nation's quarter millennia birthday. Without an awakening, I don't know how many more years America would have. But what we can do prayerfully, faithfully, we can give. And we would ask you to give even right this minute. 877-616-239, 687-76-162396. You will talk to a warm happy voice. It will just make your day. And if you would give your gift in any amount, we promise to use it faithfully, diligently, fruitfully. And Bert, we know we're going to with God's help fulfill that promise.
>> Bert Harper: We really will. And when you make that call at 877-616-2396 and if you make a pledge of a one time gift on are $150 or more you'll receive this pocket five of them matter of fact Constitutions of the United States. And if you become a great commissioner partner by giving a monthly gift of $30 or more, you'll receive that same five booklets. But you'll also get this wristband that says celebrating 250 years.
American Family association started back in 1977 with a radio network and Internet
And on the other side in God we trust and and we want to be people that give. Our theme this year is love God, Love people. It comes From Matthew chapter 22 when the question was asked to Jesus what is the greatest commandment? And Jesus laid it out there. You are to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. He also said, there is a second one that I want to share with you and it s love your neighbors as yourself. And says all the law and the prophets hinge on these two things. And listen, that is true even today. So when you make that call at 877-616-2396, you're partnering with us to continue the work that God started back in 1977. That's when American Family association started. Then we started adding things like the magazine, we started doing studios, we started doing news and with the radio network. With a radio network and Internet, AFA exploded in. In the numbers of the people it was affecting and reaching to do. And because like Alex said of the Internet, it's not just in the United States. It's global. We have people that listen all over the world, and we thank God for the opportunity. It is missional, it is purposeful, and we're going to stick to what God has called us to do. And when you give, it just encourages us. It's. It's like if a preacher is preaching and someone says amen, that's, an encouragement. Well, I want to tell you, when you give and when you share and when we see these names and places on the screen that I'm looking at right now, I want to tell you, it just encourages us deeply. So make that call. 877-616-2396. And before I throw it back to you, Alex, I. I want to remind everyone we're in a $25,000 challenge. That means that some people have given already to be able to say to others, join us and being a part of what God is doing. And also we want to listen to a listener testimony. I admit it, this is my favorite part is. Is. Is not me talking or Alex talking or anyone. It's you who have called in sharing what God has done in their life through afr. Let's listen to this one.
>> Caroline: This is Diana from White Oak Creek, Alabama. I met Mr. Don Wildmon in 1976 at the Methodist Children's Home. He was scared speaking one night. And that's where the journey started in 2009, when I moved back to Alabama from Florida. That would make it about 30 years, 35 years. God brought me physically to my knees in my living room after cancer and all kinds of things I had gone through. And he showed up in the biggest way anybody would ever imagine. Right after that, I found AFR on the radio. I've been a 247 listener every season since. And I'm just telling you, AFR is everything to me. It has kept me on track, it has given me joy. I have laughed. I've heard Walker grow up and start his tv, his radio shows and stuff, and how far he's come and how wonderful those two young men are. And I appreciate everybody at afr. They're all very individual and they are so unique and they are so, so full of the good Lord. And I thank you with all my heart for everything. God bless you, afr. God bless you.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. I love it. I've, I've heard Walker grow up, that is. And listen, they've been a part of AFR and afa, since they were little as they would come up here and their granddaddy would be here, daddy. So it is awesome to see them as the mantle has been, you know, exchanged, as Tim is leading. But God is blessing and doing a work at AFR and we thank God that we're still doing what we've been doing. We've passed the baton from one generation to another and we have not lost any of the characteristics, we haven't lost any of the, the values. We're still holding onto that. And so Alex, when people make that call at 877-616-2396, it is a joy to say our work is continuing, but our work is not done, is it?
>> Alex McFarland: No. And listen folks, here's the number. If you would call 8776-1623-9677-7616, 2396 for budget budgeting purposes, if you would make a pledge of at least $30 a month and you pray about this and it might, for some of you, that might be a stretch. That's a step of faith. Faith. I'm going to come back to that and say a word about that. But a gift of at least $30 a month, you'll get the constitutional booklets and the, the America's birthday wristband or a one time gift of at least $150. We'll send you the, the constitutional booklets that will help you speak to people and you know, even get really informed yourself about this blessed U.S. constitution that we're under and we need to preserve. And so if you, you can give securely [email protected] or you may call 877-616-2396.
The upper Northeast corridor needs Christian content, constitutional conservative content
Now Bert, I gotta, I'm gonna mention five states and right this minute we're on in these states. Praise God. Maryland Pennsylvania, NewSong Hampshire, Maine plus we're heard, the station is in Northern Virginia, but we're heard in D.C. now this is so important that, AFA, the Christian content and the constitutional conservative. Yes, cultural, political content being heard in the upper Northeast. The upper Northeast corridor, is vitally important. We're on right now also in California. the west coast needs this content. And so Bert, I know I'm looking at the station map right now, the, the current station map, which is just wonderful. I mean we're obviously all over wonderful places like Texas and Arkansas and Alabama, Kansas, Ohio. My goodness, Ohio is such a powerful state, voting wise and things like that. You know, we're on in Pennsylvania and all over Texas and I don't have time to name all the states. NewSong Mexico, Washington state, up in the Northwest corridor. We're on right now in Michigan, Illinois. So folks, this is, oh my goodness, how strategic this is. Bert, doesn't it excite you? You know, Arizona, where I'll be next week. And these dozens and dozens and dozens of cities that are hearing the AFR content. Yeah, I've been to preach in most of them and got more and more and more coming up. But folks, together, and this is a collaborative effort together, this is calling our nation to Christ and influencing elections, education, families, churches. this is the good news, the right message throughout our nation. And dear listeners, you can help be a part of making it work.
>> Bert Harper: And that number that you can do that is 877-616-239-687-76162396 or go [email protected] just listen to some of the names of people who has called. I just had to do this when I saw this name. Ava and Samson, Keith, Micah, Connie, Leroy, Julie. They've all called. They've called from Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, North Carolina, Minnesota, they've called from all over. And we'd love to hear from some people from like you said, Maryland and Washington as well. And so make those calls. And the numbers are growing. I told you we have about four more minutes to we challenge you to call that we would get to 3950, work on it, make that call right now and be a part of the partnership that we're talking about here at afr. Our partnerships are so strong. We love to work all the ministries that we work with that has 30 minute teaching programs. Dr. David Jeremiah, man, what an opportunity that is. family talk, what we have there, from you, from First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. Dr. Robert Jeffries, so many of these are so good and helpful, Alex, that we're partnering with them to carry the gospel around the world. But we also have these talking programs that help people. One is, help for the caregiver. I'm telling you what, we listen to that on Saturday Morning, and Janet and I do, because both of us have been involved in trying to care for elderly parents and other people. So it's not just all those things. It's helpful. It's helping you to be a better, mother, a better father, a better husband, a better child, and all of those things that we want you to be equipped to be able to carry the gospel and to be that citizen God wants you to be. And you can do that and help us by calling 877-616-2396. Alex, there's something I love to do each hour. Two unusual places that I saw. I thought one was Snow Camp, North Carolina. Do you know where that is? Snow Camp? I know exactly where it is.
>> Alex McFarland: Snow Camp.
>> Bert Harper: Another one right near Chapel Hill. Okay. Another one was Hydro, Oklahoma, so called in. Let me tell you the numbers right now. We hadn't got a lot of time. I challenged you to have 3950. Right now we're at 3000. We're going to. Yeah, we're going to make it to 4,000, I guarantee you. Make that call right now, and we're going to make it. Alex.
>> Alex McFarland: Amen, folks. Thanks for listening. This is the American Family Radio Network. Spring 26 share a THON. May God bless you. Please pray, please give, and together we will love God and love people. Stay tuned. More with myself, Abe Hamilton. Bert in the next hour. Will be back after this short break.
>> Bert Harper: M.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Faith, family, freedom, american family radio.
