Jenna Ellis: Are Republicans giving up on November elections

Jenna Ellis: Good morning, and Happy Friday. Today is Friday, August 28th, and we are rapidly approaching the midterms. And, everybody's been talking about, you know, the primaries and, whether or not we're putting up the best GOP candidates, especially in the context of South Carolina this week and, Darlene Graham winning over Ralph, Norman, and how all of this is, coming together to, basically evidence that the Trump endorsements still matter and that loyalty to Trump seems to be the currency, at least within the gop. But how is that going to, actually parlay into the midterms? And when you have some of these candidates that are going to face off, against some of the Democrat socialists in, parts of the country, or just Democrats altogether. we've now been hearing about the report last weekend of Jared Kushner meeting with Hakeem Jeffries in, what has been reported to be a sort of quiet negotiation about terms if Democrats come back into power. And so that has, really caused, a lot of the GOP base, at least among, some of the conservative commentators, to suggest that this is the GOP just waving the white flag. So my friend Jesse Kelly, who hosts, his own show, had a comment about this, and, he was talking about his conversation with Shawn Spot Spicer. So listen to this. Cut 4.
Jesse Kelly: Are we already giving up on November? And I asked that for this specific reason because I had a long conversation today with, I'll just tell you who. Shawn Spicer. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? Shawn Spicer told me the GOP is sitting on a gargantuan Amount of money. A gigantic amount of money. We are 70, 71 days, something like that away from the election, and they're not spending it. I told you my story about here in Texas. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? Yeah, Jesse, Same thing's happening in Michigan, same things happening in North Carolina, same things happening in Georgia. The GOP is sitting on truckloads of cash, and they're not spending it. People are starting to vote early. Like now. If not now, it can't be. Every state does it differently. But I guarantee it's starting very soon. This election is right now. Why are we not unloading all this money? What are we saving the money for? are we saving it for 20, 28? What is happening? This is malpractice. And I'm not saying we're going to lose the Texas Senate seat, but we might. I'll tell you this. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? It's a one point race right now. One point in one of the reddest states in the country. And why wouldn't it be one point? Bottom is on every single TV commercial, driving a Ford truck, talking about groceries and Jesus with Paw Paw, and Ken Paxton is nowhere to be found because the GOP's not spending any money. And I'm told that that same thing is happening in Georgia, that Jon Ossoff is unloading money. He's all over the airwaves. GOP candidate nonexistent. North Carolina, nonexistent. Michigan, M. Nonexistent. And now I get a story that Jared Kushner is already meeting with the probable, I guess, next speaker of the House on areas of common ground. Are we in the negotiating the surrender phase? You, have to forgive me, but how am I supposed to take this any other way? Why in. I'm going to be calm here. Why in the world would we be meeting with Hakeem Jeffries two months before the election? Hopefully, Hakeem Jeffries is still in the minority after the election. I would hope that'd be the goal, but. But of course, surprise, surprise. Who's the one going to sit down with Hakeem Jeffries? Jared Kushner.
Mark Lauder: Team Trump is doing everything possible to turn out voters
Jenna Ellis: All right, well, that was kind of a long clip, but I want to welcome in, Mark Lauder, who is a Newsmax host, former Trump advisor, and, you know, has been around politics a really long time and especially the gop. And Mark, you know, I got to hand it to Jesse Kelly a little bit that it does seem like the GOP is waving the white flag. Is that there a good explanation to the contrary?
Marc Lotter: Yes, I think there's a, There's a mult. There are a multitude of good explanations. Number one, first off, I think it's way oversimplification if you think that the GOP war chat can just buy a bunch of TV ads in August and change the outcome of the election. There is a time for those ads. I don't think people are paying attention right now. I think you are still about a month and a half to two months away from when people really start to pay attention. Also, we have seen that ads in traditional television, radio sense are having a diminishing return. They're not having the same impact as they did 20 years ago, 30 years ago and beyond. All you have to do is look to the South Carolina primary, runoff from earlier this week. And it wasn't Donald Trump spending $800,000 on ads. It was Donald Trump spending $800,000 activating his digital database. Because, Jenna, as you and I both well know, everyone who has gone to a rally, volunteered, walked door to door, donated, or done anything with President Donald J. Trump over the last 12 years since he came down the golden escalator, we have it in our database. And those folks in South Carolina probably got blown up with their phones about a dozen or so times. Have you voted? Did you hear that President Trump endorsed Senator Graham? You need to go out and go and vote for Senator Graham. Do you know where your polling place is so you can vote for Senator Graham? Have you let me know if you voted for Senator Graham till finally you probably gave up and said, yes, I will go vote for Senator Graham to stop. Get them to texting me. That is really cheap. And no one does that better than Team Trump. And they do it via email. They do it with the phone calls, they do it with the text messaging, all of that. And in this day and age, especially when we are in a hyper partisan turnout mode, because you know the Democrats will turn out their angry little rent a riot. That's what they do. So our job is to turn out the people, even if Donald Trump is not on the ballot or if it's a race they might only be lukewarm for. We gotta get you out. And there's no better way to do it than then that turning out the people we already know support us, already support President Trump and the America first movement. And so I get it. I know it's frustrating and it may not be what has always been done from elections gone by, but this is the best way to turn out that Trump base, when you need them, is hit them the moment they need to be hit. Whether it's on television and radio, or on social media or in there, online or then their direct get out the vote, email, text messages, phone calls in the days and weeks leading up to the election.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, and I mean, as someone who frequently gets those types of text messages from Team Trump, because obviously, you know, everybody on Team Trump, including Trump himself, have my phone number. you know, I get all those texts and a lot of those people go, man, I'm being, you know, just totally spammed. But it does, work, it is helpful.
Mark Lauder: Republicans need to shift their message on affordability ahead of midterm elections
But but why then, Mark Lauder, do you think that, some people who are, you know, fairly, fairly high up in the orbit, like Shawn Spicer, are questioning why more money isn't being spent in some of these other venues?
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, obviously, you know, we would love to have unlimited resources to do it, but I think we are in a different dynamic right now and I think Shawn would probably even agree with that. I haven't talked to him about it recently, but he's very good with the strategic communic side of it. so you need to do a combination of all these things. But we also have to remember that it is the end of August. The traditional campaign doesn't even begin until after Labor Day. And so I think that's when you will start to see the rnc, the Trump super pacs, and all of these various super pacs start to unload their war chest because we do have a massive financial advantage over the Democrats because they just can't raise the money. And so the question is going to be is when do you deploy it and that's when you can get the maximum benefit for it.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And I agree that, you know, right now everybody's focused on back to school. there may be, you know, coming off of the primaries, but you know, even here in my home state of Florida, I mean, I can't tell you how many texts I received from friends literally like the weekend before the primary saying, hey, that's coming up on Tuesday. I haven't been paying attention, like, you know, who should I vote for for governor? Like I, you know, I don't even know who's running. and, and so I don't think that people, the, the average person who's not, you know, super online or super invested in politics, like you and I are, and Jesse Kelly and Shawn Spicer and you know, people who, who do this for A living, the average regular person isn't paying attention right now. They are paying attention though, to some of the, the issues that I think will end. they are concerned in just general conservative circles about the rise of socialist candidates on the left. they, they are seeing that they are concerned about issues like affordability. they are concerned about gas prices. They are kind of concerned about, you know, why does Trump really care about, you know, renaming Lake Ontario into Lake America and you know, tariff were with Canada when all of these other things are going on. but how much of this do you think needs to start now in terms of the messaging and the conversation around the kitchen table issue so that then when they do deploy, the GOP does deploy these resources closer, much closer to the actual election, they'll be the most impactful as possible?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think part of that is going to depend right now on where things stand with the war, because most of the affordability issues can be directly tied up with that. And so obviously I don't know where we stand, what they're hearing behind the scenes. I just obviously know what we're reporting and what we're seeing in the news. so a lot of that will be tied with that. But also I think we have to shift our overall message on affordability because right now the administration seems to be doing the same failed strategy of Joe Biden, and that is tell people who are struggling or who don't like the high prices of things that they're wrong. and that's either the prices aren't that bad or because another economic statistic is better than you think it is. People never respond to that. They didn't respond to it with Joe Biden. The difference is we actually have a reason why there are affordability issues. And that's because we are dealing with a long term enemy of, the United States and Israel, and that is in Iran. And so I do think that they can shift their message to say, I understand and you're upset about it. But I remember my grandparents, your great grandparents, who were dealing with food rationing, and things that they couldn't do because of World War II and the war effort. And so while I understand that prices are a little higher than what you want, trust me, when we deal with this terrorist regime and we don't have to have our entire military focused on the Middle east right now because of Tehran and its proxies and what the threat they mean to our allies and friends, we are going to be better off in the long term. So I'm just asking you to bear with me a little bit longer. We are almost there. I think that would be a much stronger message. But if Iran's going to wave the white flag anytime between now and probably the middle of October, you might even get a bigger bump out of it by not saying that. So I don't know, there's a lot of things that you have to, you have to take into account right now.
Jenna Ellis: Mm, Yeah. And and for the average voter, I mean, I feel like what they're taking into account more than anything is literally just how it impacts their wallet. And you know, what I'm seeing just, anecdotally, of course, you know, across social and then conversations, with, you know, commenters of this program, you know, guests and friends and all that, is that people are kind of frustrated, I think, that the economy hasn't rebounded in the first two years of Trump, like, was thriving in the first two years of his first administration. And you know, there are obviously a whole host of factors that go into that. But do you think that that is an unreasonable expectation for a lot of people to say, well, we voted for Trump in 2024 and we expected the economy to be like it was in, you know, 2018, 2019, when, you know, we're post Covid, we're still experiencing all of the effects of printing a ton of money. You know, the whole Biden inflation for four years. I mean, what, what should the White House be messaging on that point right now?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think the part of it is that, you know, that we have slowed the rate increases, especially when it comes to, like, groceries and things like that. Gasoline is the one outlier. But think about this. I mean, even though gasoline is higher than any of us, including myself, want to pay, it is still cheaper right now, despite the war with Iran, than it was with Joe Biden and his war on energy and his war on American energy. that was gas over $5 a gallon, for no good reason other than the Green NewSong Deal. At least now Donald Trump is like, look, I had it under $4. I had it close to $3 and 20 cents. I had it down. And then we had to do the war. I'll get it back down there. You just have to give me a minute. And the dirty secret is, look, nobody wants deflation, we all want lower prices. But deflation is actually just as bad, if not worse than inflation. So basically what they're trying to do is slow the rate of growth of, prices while jacking the growth, the rate of growth for the economy, for paychecks and stuff like that. So you don't feel it as much. And again, that is a lagging indicator. It's going to take six months or so from when that happens. So we're dealing with a lot of things right now that are, I would say on the good side. it's just, can you put it all together? And then ultimately it's going to be a vote of contrast. And you mentioned the socialism side. We're not dealing with a normal Democrat party anymore. The Democrat party of Bill Clinton is gone. it is now a party of radical socialist leftists, who basically outright want socialism. They're in, they're endorsing it, don't care if, you know, they can't even admit it's a problem anymore. And now they're angry that they're even being asked about it with Debbie Dingell out there. You know what, if you campaigned with Hassan Piker or if you're going to sit in a caucus with these socialists, then you are one. And we don't have to, we just should just come right out and say it and not. Don't ask the question, don't ask them m. Whether they condemn Hasan Piker if they back the socialist. No, if you get a D next to your name, you are a socialist.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And I could not agree more that this is going to be yet another election about contrast. And that itself is sort of presenting, you know, the predictable frustrations though, where a lot of people are saying, well I want to vote for someone not just against the socialist Democrat, but sometimes the practical reality is, you know, that's, that's your option. And you know the, it's like they expect the GOP candidates to be totally perfect and that all of their policy appeals to every particular policy idiosyncrasy of every single voter, which of course is not possible. But on the broader point, I mean I understand that some of these candidates, like a Darlene Graham are not going to appeal to every conservative for I think some valid reasons. But, but at the same time, you know, those are the debates that we should have during the primaries and I think that we should have had those in a better fashion. So it wasn't just, well, Trump endorsed, and this is the primary. The GOP primaries now exist as a loyalty contest, or a loyalty test rather to Trump, rather than saying, okay, let's have truly these hard fought primaries. And then that way when we all are asked to coalesce and the general general election, so that we do have this election of contrast, then there are more people who are willing to do that because they at minimum, at least felt heard rather than just dictated to by the overall MAGA movement that, well, Trump endorsed. So get on the train even before the primaries happen. I mean, do you, do you find or do you see that there may be some problem in the midterm with kind of that rationale? I mean, it worked for Trump in his own election in 2024, but filter down into his endorsed candidates, I think is a problem for the gop.
Marc Lotter: Well, I think the GOP will be able to actually do this, because let's not forget, I mean, whether they're talking about it enough or not, they still largely support the America first agenda. They are still largely, almost all in lockstep with everything that the President and Republicans have been campaigning on for the last eight to ten years. and then you contrast it against what the other person stands for, because if the other person looks, they're going to vote for Hakeem Jeffries and they're going to vote for Chuck Schumer or aoc, they're going to stand with those people because they have no choice but to have to. So no matter what they tell you on the campaign trail, just know that they will be out there with Hasan Piker and the squad and all of the other nightmare socialists that the Democrat Party is putting up and will probably elect in crazy places like here in NewSong York. So that's what you've got to deal with. And if someone checks eight of the 10 boxes, as you, I have always said, you know, Jenna, and Ronald Reagan said, it doesn't make you 8, 20% my enemy if we only agree in 80% of the things. And so we've got to remember that what we are campaigning against is even more important than what we're campaigning for, because we're largely all there on the same issues.
Mark Lauder: We need to focus on what we agree on now
what we can get them done, that's another thing. And what the Senate needs to do, that's a completely other thing. But they're largely all together on it and they will talk about it. And then when you contrast it with what the other side wants to do and what we know, that they will lie and do anything, they will tell us anything we want to hear to get power, even lying to us about Joe Biden, what he stands for or what he, you know, whether he's even cognitive, it doesn't matter to them. It's just power.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, so, so well said. And I couldn't agree with you more that we need to focus on what we agree, agree on now heading into the general rather than what we disagree on, because that ultimately matters, much, much more because we all at least are agreed that the socialists and the current Democrat Party should never see office. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has surpassed Marco Rubio in 2020 odds
Jenna Ellis: Welcome back. While I'm still here with my special guest, Mark, Lauder, who is a Newsmax hoax host. You can catch him on Newsmax, in the mornings. And a, former Trump advisor. We, we served together during, Trump's first term and, you know, can still talk about all things conservative and GOP and MAGA politics. And so, Mark, I want to get your take on this one. according to the prediction market, Kalshee, Vice President J.D. vance currently leads the 2028 presidential market at 19%, followed by guess who, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez at 14%. So she has effectively passed Marco Rubio in odds to win the 2028 presidential election because Rubio currently sits in third place. And these are prediction market odds, not polling numbers. they can of course change significantly, but a lot of people put a lot of, stock, you know, no pun intended, in Kelsey. So, you know, what do you make of this? just because there's m more chatter amongst even kind of, you know, mainline now that AOC might take a run at it.
Marc Lotter: God, I hope that's true. You know, you never want to pick your opponent. Be very careful with that because I remember back on the 16 campaign when Democrats were really hoping that Donald Trump was going to be the nominee because it'd be easier to beat, and that didn't work out so well for them. So, you know, the thing I take away from that and I don't give it much credibility, politically speaking, is that, wow, what a great choice of Republicans have between J.D. vance and Marco Rubio. And fingers crossed that they team up and go together. I don't think anybody can stop them if they do that. But you know, if the best that Democrats have to offer is aoc, what does that tell you about the state of the Democrat Party? and it's not necessarily good things because I think she has probably, you know, has very little knowledge on things that actually matter or how to get things done. but I do believe, and I've said this before, is that I do believe the far left progressive socialist squad element of the Democrat Party is tired of taking a backseat because as we both know, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, the Democrat Party did everything they could to keep comrade Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination in 2016. In 2020, they fixed the system so he could not be the nominee. And they feel like that they need, they need their shot in the sun. So if they're going to go and if that's the best they can to offer, I think the only way the Democrat Party can move on from this failed movement is to go ahead, nominate your socialist, get your clock cleaned and then truly do a debrief and to figure out what went wrong and try to do the same thing that the Republicans really kind of did to the Tea Party movement back after the 20, you know, 2010, 2012 and going, well, you had your shot. Now we're going to go back and try. Middle of the road.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, well, I mean it's so sad that if AOC is not only the best that they can put up, but actually is like comparatively with some of these candidates like El Said is running, you know, for us, ah, Senate, as you know, just this, this absolutely crazy candidate. If she's actually a little bit more moderate than some of these other ones that, and they're going, he, she'll be the one that's like going to coalesce our party. I mean that is just so insane and really shows the absolute, just derailment of the Democrat Party and that this is totally not, you know, the the Jon F. Kennedy Democrats. I mean these are not even the Bill Clinton Democrats, even the Obama Democrats. I mean, you know, this is something so completely different. And and yet, you know, then we look to the contrast. Well, if not AOC mean really, who do they have? I mean I don't see them actually nominating a Gavin Newsom because he's the old white guy, you know, and they're, they're just not going to do that for diversity purposes. Mamdani, doesn't qualify constitutionally. probably, unfortunately for them. you know, are they gonna put up Kamala Harris again? I mean, look at how that worked out. so, you know, who really do they have, other than potentially an aoc?
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, right now, if I had to say the worst case scenario for Republicans, it would be somebody like Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky. So someone who is. Who is. Who has governed largely middle of the road. I mean, obviously, I'm sure some Republicans would say no, but for them, that's middle of the road. He's. He comes from a conservative state. He won a Republican state, Ruby Red state, multiple times. and so he knows how to communicate across the aisle. And he's got a successful state that can show that they're not dealing with the fraud issues of, say, of a Minnesota or things like that. I don't think that they'll nominate a Josh Shapiro for the same reason Kamala didn't, pick him back in 2024. That's because they're anti Semites and they cannot have a Jewish candidate because, you know, the radical wing of their party now is totally anti Semitic. So I think a Governor Andy Beshear would be probably the worst case scenario for Republicans. They can still run against him, but he would actually be able to communicate with folks across the aisle. I don't think the Democrat Party is ready to do the Bill Clinton middle of the road. I feel your pain. I think they still want to run one more time because this will be the last chance they get to do it. We hate Trump.
Jenna Ellis: M. Yeah, that is such a good point. And what do you think about.
Marc Lotter: They've got to think. They've got to actually think and come up with policy and knows they're too stupid to do that. So right now they can go. The only thing they know is we hate Trump.
Jenna Ellis: Well, and, yeah, and they've been beating that drum since literally, you know, 2015. And, and. And especially when he got the nomination. And you're right, they thought, oh, woohoo, this will be really easy for us. And look at how that turned out. But then, I mean, that was what the first impeachment was all about. That's what Russiagate was all about. I mean, all of this, everything has always just been about we hate Trump. And so they're trying to run the contrast campaign that has failed them in a way that hopefully the GOP will be smarter about in the midterms when they run the contrast campaign against the actual ideas, not just, you know, we we hate aoc, but that, you know, we actually hate and should hate socialism. And here's why. but what do you think, Mark Lauder, about Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff? Because, he has in some, polling like the Emerson College poll, is showing that he's performing strongly in a hypothetical, in a general election matchup against Republicans like Vance and Rubio.
Marc Lotter: Well, I would say that that is what I would call an uneducated poll. And I'm not talking. I'm not condemning the pollster. But no money has been spent on Jon Ossoff's record. And if Jon Ossoff is a member of the United States Senate in the party that is currently led by Chuck Schumer, then he will have had to vote with every other Democrat in the Senate, all 47 of them, against simple things like, paying our troops. He closed down the government. He voted for more fraud or against efforts to stop fraud. He voted, you know, against securing the border, to dealing with the war. All of the things that they do every day, those are now campaign ads we can use against him. So right now, you see the guy on television, he goes on Ms. Now, where you get a bunch of freaking softballs, and he looks good, but wait till we start dropping money on him. It may not be enough to change that Senate race. You never know. But on a national scale, I think it's completely different.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah.
It seems like we used to actually debate more of the policy, not popularity
And you know, how much of this, as well, has changed in the social media kind of, you know, viral video landscape where, you know, we used to. Or maybe I'm sort of romanticizing politics past, but it seems like we used to actually debate more of the policy, not the popularity contest, and not, you know, some of these, like, just utterly ridiculous, you know, TikTok videos that we're seeing from especially the Democrat candidates that I think are, frankly, so embarrassing. But, you know, how much of this, especially for young voters, do you think is more personality than it actually is policy?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think that's always been a little bit of the case. I mean, obviously, I think we were. We romanticized Ronald Reagan. You know, we saw the cowboy wrapped up in the American flag and making America great again. Years before Donald Trump said, let's make America great again, or even George W. Bush swaggering around like a cowboy, you know, talking about dealing with the terrorists. So there's always been the performative side of politics, but we also had a serious policy debate. The other issue was, was that the parties for that m. For that matter, to use a football analogy, were really arguing between the 40s. You, know, we were not too far. We were right of center. They were like slightly left of center, maybe 10 yards. Now, I mean, literally the Democrats are so far to the left, they're not even in the stadium anymore. I mean, they're closer to Beijing and Moscow than they are to anywhere in the United States. And so that's what we're dealing with. It's not even a rational debate because they've gone so far off the deep end that you can barely see them.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, and, and that's what is, is the most concerning, I think, about the, the two party system right now is that, you know, the Democrats still have a lot of money, a lot of power, a lot of control, and they are not putting up even remotely reasonable candidates that should be anywhere near public office. Because you're right, it isn't just, well, this is a little bit to the left or this is, you know, more to the right. But it's still within the context of, you know, we all at least agree on the, the goals for America. We just may disagree on kind of how to get there or some policy. but we're still kind of all within maybe the same construct of reality. I mean, the Democrats can't even, you know, define what a woman is. They can't, you know, define, even within, you know, rationality, that it's, it should be just a basic thing in the United States that, you know, we don't perform, transgender surgeries on minor kids, you know, but we're debating these things as if they are debatable questions or debatable issues instead of at least agreeing on the rational basis for this country and just maybe some tweaks here and there of policy. And that's where I think, you know, we've, we've come so far in the last year, 20, 30, 40 years in this country that, you know, no one I think would have ever predicted, including the founders and you know, their wildest dreams. And so, you know, just, just wrapping up here because we've got to head to break shortly.
Mark Lauder: The GOP really does need a message heading into 2028
Mark Lauder, what do you think is the prime message though, that can drive the policy more than just the personality that the GOP really does need, to message heading into 2028. Because I think a lot of and it's not just young voters, it's a lot of voters in general maybe don't actually see the dangers of what the Democratic Party, currently represents.
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, first and foremost, I think we have to remind people that even though it's not where we want it to be, it is still a lot better than what it was the last time the Democrats had control. inflation was worse, groceries cost more, gas cost more. The world was at war. You know, you had October 7th, you had Russia invading Ukraine. Yeah, we attacked Iran, but Iran has been at a war with us for 47 years. but look at what happened when they had the levers of power and they were supposedly, they were the adults in the room. The world fell apart, the economy fell apart, which is why they brought back Donald Trump. The other thing I would say, too, is that when you hear Democrats making these crazy ideas, don't just rely on the, Just rely on wrapping yourself in the American flag and go, that's not American. Force them to say where it works. Show me one example where your socialized medicine works, because Brits hate it. Canadians know they pay too much and they have to wait years for basic service. They let people die because of cancer because they can't get them in in time for their services. Go to Europe, where all of those socialist countries can't afford anything. We have to perform their basic self defense because they can't afford to do it for themselves. And when you ask them to do it, they say, no, it doesn't work. So don't just say, that's not how our founders did it. Let's just say, well, show me where it works. I'll debate you on that every day. And you will lose. And when people realize that their free fantasies don't add up, then they'll start ignoring it.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And so well said. I mean, this isn't just about what the founders would have wanted. It's what actually works. An investigation reveals Muslim oriented Girl Scout troops nationwide
Jenna Ellis: Welcome back. Well, speaking of the world view and the just utter craziness that is the left and the Democrat socialists, there is also a rise of course in Muslim candidates that is going around across the country. And there is an interesting piece in the Washington stand this week that an investigation reveals Muslim oriented Girl Scout troops, quote unquote, nationwide. So according to this commentary, Girl Scout troops have become a vehicle for Muslims to promote their faith in an American style. According to recent investigation by independent journalist Natalie Winters, Winters found Girl Scout troops operated out of mosques from coast to coast with specific awards created for a quote, Girl Scout of the Islamic faith. Winters notes that awards were created by the National Islamic Committee on Girl Scouting rather than Girl Scouts usa, indicating the extent to which Girl Scouts have allowed their brand to be Islamized. So let's welcome in Brad Brandon, who's the founder of Across Nigeria. And Brad, this is very concerning on a number of levels, especially with the controversy surrounding Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts of America. but you know, this really just shows the level and extent to which the Islamification of America is is commencing. And I think that the candidates for office are just one example of the overall problem. And this report is very concerning.
Brad Brandon: Yeah, it is concerning. I mean clearly there's discrimination here and the DEI groups have co, opted, even now and long ago they've co opted the Girl Scouts, they're giving Muslim badges for celebrating Ramadan pilgrimages to Mecca and Quran reading. Now my question to all of this is are they doing and have done the same thing for Christians? And the answer is no. There's no badges for Bible reading. There's no badges for taking communion. There's no badges, badges for being a Christian or going to church. So they've ignored the predominant religion of the United States of America for the last 250 years. And they have now adopted really a Muslim brand of Girl Scouts and giving them awards and badges for this. The real danger in this comes down to Islam's attitude towards women and girls. They are not sympathetic to the dignity of women or girls. Women are treated as second class citizens at best. And I know this because I predominantly work in northern Nigeria. 12 of the northern Nigeria states are controlled by a very strict form of Sharia law where there's genital mutilation and a woman's testimony under Sharia law is worth half that of a man's. So when you're talking about the dignity of women and girls, I would think that the Girl Scouts would be an organization that would want to uphold the dignity, the rights of women, the value of women. And they're aligning themselves with a, with a religion that is not known for that and does not practice that. And that's very dangerous anywhere that Sharia law and Islamic rule gets an influence.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And that's such a great point. And it's so fascinating how you know the left which has claimed for years that they're the party of equality, they're the party of women, they're the, you know, the worldview, that seeks to dismantle the patriarchy and all of the you know, abuses that women have suffered through, through history. And you know, particularly in the United States, they claim they end up completely refuting their own assertion by having men in women's sports, by having men in women's spaces, by saying that men can become women in fact, and now here, upholding these views by certain religions that do discriminate against women and abuse them, in fact, and yet the girls scouts responded saying the reporting was misinformation, which you know, that's the typical response. But they said in their statement, here are the facts. Girl Scouts is not a religious organization and does not teach religion. For more than a century we welcomed girls of every faith and background. Our national My Promise, My Faith pin invites girls to connect the Girl Scout law with their own faith. Any other faith based patches are developed by independent faith organizations, not Girl Scouts of the usa. Girl Scouts is proudly for every girl. But the problem that I see with this response is that, okay, you're claiming you're not a religious organization and not teaching religion yet clearly you are and you're encouraging and incentivizing this through patches that are of a specific Islamic faith. Yeah.
Brad Brandon: And not only are they promoting that, but they have a badge for bringing somebody with you to celebrate Ramadan. So that is like almost evangelizing Islam, and the spread of Islam. So if they're talking out of both sides of their mouth and they're doing damage control at this point because they've been found out. And what's been found out is that they are, in fact, promoting religion. And it's not Christianity, Christianity, it's not Judaism. There's no badges for Catholics or Christians or Jews. they're promoting a religion that is violent, that is inherently violent, and it's a religion of conquest. We've seen that around the world. In 1981, there was one country that had Sharia law as its legal system. Fast forward to the present day. There's 39. The Islamic religion has a global agenda. And let's face it, the whole DEI agenda that's behind this isn't about women's rights. It's not about women in sports and equal rights for all religions. It's about control. It's about totalitarianism. So, they will partner and parallel with anyone who has that ideology of totalitarianism. So Islam does, it's a religion of control. And socialism, is a ideology of control. Communism is an ideology of control. So DEI gravitates to all of those groups that, that align with their ideology of totalitarianism and control.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And, you know, and this is where this goes so far beyond just the Girl Scouts. But the author of this piece in, the Washington Stand, Joshua Arnold, says and, and recognizes that Muslims, however, come from a different perspective than the Christians, who built these organizations. Most Muslims in America, he writes, come from families who have only been in this country for, say, one to three generations. Their culture has never participated in the Americana that informed the original scouting organizations. For them, American, culture is at least foreign, if not hostile, like what you're saying. This may explain why Muslims are willing to participate in the Girl Scouts even if it does not entirely align with Muslim values. They are tickled if they can get some approval for their religious preferences under its umbrella. So I see this, as, you know, kind of this multifaceted slow creeping into and the pervasive undermining of American culture, which, of course is built on, the Christian truth and Western values that are completely, antithetical to Sharia law and what Islam teaches. And so this type of example is showing the proliferation of the Muslim culture and values instead of the assimilation that should happen when foreigners come to the United States with a wish to remain here. And how dangerous is it? Brad, especially with your experience as you're talking about ah, what's happening in Nigeria, with now having some even candidates for public office that will be making some of these laws that should be in accordance with our legal system, the U.S. constitution. Constitution that affirm and avow Islam and Sharia law. Yeah.
Brad Brandon: The values that you're mentioning are Judeo Christian at their base. That's what our whole country was based on. So the idea of natural rights and natural law, free will, freedom, all of these are Judeo Christian values. Islam does not have that. Their mindset is completely different. m. Muslims and Islam is not they do not assimilate to a culture. their agenda is to dominate that culture. And we see them making their way in inroads into various groups and organizations, political and otherwise here in the United States. Now Europe is the canary in the coal mine. This has already been done. you have whole areas, of major cities throughout Europe that have no go zones. These are areas where first responders cannot go into and police officers cannot enter into these Islamic controlled areas. They've already dabbled with this and they've found that this is you know, bad fruit, that bad things are happening because of this. And we're seeing a backlash, a movement that is pushing back on this now in the UK and in Europe. it's almost like we have blinders on and we can't see what's already been experimented with in Europe and other places around the world and we're willing to give it a try. We're going to suffer the same exact thing, things that they've suffered in the UK and throughout Europe. As long as we allow this to continue to creep its way into our culture and into our systems. You know, this is the same thing that happened not too long ago just a few weeks ago in California. It was found out that California schools were bringing children to mosques and in public schools and encouraging the children to do Quran reading and wear hijabs and, and do Islamic religious practices on these field trips. They don't take their children to churches and cathedrals and synagogues, but they're taking them to mosques. It's another way that Islam is dominating the culture.
Brad Anderson says it's important to talk about Muslim encroachment in America
They work their way in step by step and then they push their agenda throughout that culture that they enter into. We've seen this happen time again. We know the playbook already.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And this is why it's so important to continue to talk about the slow, but pervasive and persistent encroachment of the overall Muslim ideology, because, you know, so many Democrats right now are saying, oh, what are. What's the big deal? Like the Sharia Free America Caucus, like, you guys are just, you know, trying to, harp at a boogeyman. But they're purposefully, I think, ignoring what's actually happening because they want us to ignore it until possibly it's too late. And of course we can't and shouldn't do that. and so, you know, where. Where do you see, as the. The distinction between, you know, recognizing that, you know, yes, we, allow for religious freedom in this country, you know, certainly freedom of belief, but we don't allow for freedom of, of distinctions in our laws and what our U.S. constitution, explicitly provides for civil government. And there has to continue to be that distinction.
Brad Brandon: Yeah, absolutely. Because, you know, I look at how things happened in Nigeria, northern Nigeria particularly, because that's where. That's where I spend most of my time. And if you go back 25 years ago, Muslims and Christians lived absolutely at peace with each other. Sometimes in the same communities. They celebrated festivities together. They had meals in each other's homes. It was, it was peaceful throughout Northern Nigeria. with the introduction of radical Islam in 2002 with groups like Boko Haram and ISWA and more recently Lakurawa, these are all radical terrorist groups.
Brad Brandon: that all changed in 2002, and the whole area became under Islamic rule. And I just came back about six weeks ago from being there for four months, and, Boko Haram was telling all of us Christians we should either
Brad Brandon: convert or die, and that they were going to run all of the Christians out of Nigeria. the stated goal of these radical groups is to take over the entire country of Nigeria. that's what they do. Again, not assimilating, but dominating. And, that's what they do when they get into Europe.
Brad Brandon: That's what happens. When they get into the uk that's what happens now that they're getting into the United States. We see the very beginnings of that happening now. And you know, I always say you should nip it in the bud now because it is much harder to get rid of it once it's solidified like it is in Northern Nigeria, where it's the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian right now. Last year, 72% of all the Christians killed in the world were killed in northern Nigeria, at the hands of radical Islam. so that's the end result of what we're seeing the beginning steps happening here in the United States and we have the ability to stop it now. But Christian people have to stand up and we have to start calling out these things as we see them as they're happening. And that's what you're doing on your show. And so I'm appreciative of you even just bringing this up and talking about this.

Jenna Ellis: I love talking about the things of God because of truth and the biblical worldview. The U.S. constitution obligates our government to preserve and protect the rights that our founders recognize come from God, our Creator, not our government. I believe that scripture in the Bible is very clear that God is the one that raised up each of you, and God has allowed us to be brought here to this specific moment in time. This is Jenna Ellis in the morning.
Jenna Ellis: Good morning, and Happy Friday. Today is Friday, August 28th, and we are rapidly approaching the midterms. And, everybody's been talking about, you know, the primaries and, whether or not we're putting up the best GOP candidates, especially in the context of South Carolina this week and, Darlene Graham winning over Ralph, Norman, and how all of this is, coming together to, basically evidence that the Trump endorsements still matter and that loyalty to Trump seems to be the currency, at least within the gop. But how is that going to, actually parlay into the midterms? And when you have some of these candidates that are going to face off, against some of the Democrat socialists in, parts of the country, or just Democrats altogether. we've now been hearing about the report last weekend of Jared Kushner meeting with Hakeem Jeffries in, what has been reported to be a sort of quiet negotiation about terms if Democrats come back into power. And so that has, really caused, a lot of the GOP base, at least among, some of the conservative commentators, to suggest that this is the GOP just waving the white flag. So my friend Jesse Kelly, who hosts, his own show, had a comment about this, and, he was talking about his conversation with Shawn Spot Spicer. So listen to this. Cut 4.
Jesse Kelly: Are we already giving up on November? And I asked that for this specific reason because I had a long conversation today with, I'll just tell you who. Shawn Spicer. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? Shawn Spicer told me the GOP is sitting on a gargantuan Amount of money. A gigantic amount of money. We are 70, 71 days, something like that away from the election, and they're not spending it. I told you my story about here in Texas. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? Yeah, Jesse, Same thing's happening in Michigan, same things happening in North Carolina, same things happening in Georgia. The GOP is sitting on truckloads of cash, and they're not spending it. People are starting to vote early. Like now. If not now, it can't be. Every state does it differently. But I guarantee it's starting very soon. This election is right now. Why are we not unloading all this money? What are we saving the money for? are we saving it for 20, 28? What is happening? This is malpractice. And I'm not saying we're going to lose the Texas Senate seat, but we might. I'll tell you this. You know what Shawn Spicer told me? It's a one point race right now. One point in one of the reddest states in the country. And why wouldn't it be one point? Bottom is on every single TV commercial, driving a Ford truck, talking about groceries and Jesus with Paw Paw, and Ken Paxton is nowhere to be found because the GOP's not spending any money. And I'm told that that same thing is happening in Georgia, that Jon Ossoff is unloading money. He's all over the airwaves. GOP candidate nonexistent. North Carolina, nonexistent. Michigan, M. Nonexistent. And now I get a story that Jared Kushner is already meeting with the probable, I guess, next speaker of the House on areas of common ground. Are we in the negotiating the surrender phase? You, have to forgive me, but how am I supposed to take this any other way? Why in. I'm going to be calm here. Why in the world would we be meeting with Hakeem Jeffries two months before the election? Hopefully, Hakeem Jeffries is still in the minority after the election. I would hope that'd be the goal, but. But of course, surprise, surprise. Who's the one going to sit down with Hakeem Jeffries? Jared Kushner.
Mark Lauder: Team Trump is doing everything possible to turn out voters
Jenna Ellis: All right, well, that was kind of a long clip, but I want to welcome in, Mark Lauder, who is a Newsmax host, former Trump advisor, and, you know, has been around politics a really long time and especially the gop. And Mark, you know, I got to hand it to Jesse Kelly a little bit that it does seem like the GOP is waving the white flag. Is that there a good explanation to the contrary?
Marc Lotter: Yes, I think there's a, There's a mult. There are a multitude of good explanations. Number one, first off, I think it's way oversimplification if you think that the GOP war chat can just buy a bunch of TV ads in August and change the outcome of the election. There is a time for those ads. I don't think people are paying attention right now. I think you are still about a month and a half to two months away from when people really start to pay attention. Also, we have seen that ads in traditional television, radio sense are having a diminishing return. They're not having the same impact as they did 20 years ago, 30 years ago and beyond. All you have to do is look to the South Carolina primary, runoff from earlier this week. And it wasn't Donald Trump spending $800,000 on ads. It was Donald Trump spending $800,000 activating his digital database. Because, Jenna, as you and I both well know, everyone who has gone to a rally, volunteered, walked door to door, donated, or done anything with President Donald J. Trump over the last 12 years since he came down the golden escalator, we have it in our database. And those folks in South Carolina probably got blown up with their phones about a dozen or so times. Have you voted? Did you hear that President Trump endorsed Senator Graham? You need to go out and go and vote for Senator Graham. Do you know where your polling place is so you can vote for Senator Graham? Have you let me know if you voted for Senator Graham till finally you probably gave up and said, yes, I will go vote for Senator Graham to stop. Get them to texting me. That is really cheap. And no one does that better than Team Trump. And they do it via email. They do it with the phone calls, they do it with the text messaging, all of that. And in this day and age, especially when we are in a hyper partisan turnout mode, because you know the Democrats will turn out their angry little rent a riot. That's what they do. So our job is to turn out the people, even if Donald Trump is not on the ballot or if it's a race they might only be lukewarm for. We gotta get you out. And there's no better way to do it than then that turning out the people we already know support us, already support President Trump and the America first movement. And so I get it. I know it's frustrating and it may not be what has always been done from elections gone by, but this is the best way to turn out that Trump base, when you need them, is hit them the moment they need to be hit. Whether it's on television and radio, or on social media or in there, online or then their direct get out the vote, email, text messages, phone calls in the days and weeks leading up to the election.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, and I mean, as someone who frequently gets those types of text messages from Team Trump, because obviously, you know, everybody on Team Trump, including Trump himself, have my phone number. you know, I get all those texts and a lot of those people go, man, I'm being, you know, just totally spammed. But it does, work, it is helpful.
Mark Lauder: Republicans need to shift their message on affordability ahead of midterm elections
But but why then, Mark Lauder, do you think that, some people who are, you know, fairly, fairly high up in the orbit, like Shawn Spicer, are questioning why more money isn't being spent in some of these other venues?
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, obviously, you know, we would love to have unlimited resources to do it, but I think we are in a different dynamic right now and I think Shawn would probably even agree with that. I haven't talked to him about it recently, but he's very good with the strategic communic side of it. so you need to do a combination of all these things. But we also have to remember that it is the end of August. The traditional campaign doesn't even begin until after Labor Day. And so I think that's when you will start to see the rnc, the Trump super pacs, and all of these various super pacs start to unload their war chest because we do have a massive financial advantage over the Democrats because they just can't raise the money. And so the question is going to be is when do you deploy it and that's when you can get the maximum benefit for it.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And I agree that, you know, right now everybody's focused on back to school. there may be, you know, coming off of the primaries, but you know, even here in my home state of Florida, I mean, I can't tell you how many texts I received from friends literally like the weekend before the primary saying, hey, that's coming up on Tuesday. I haven't been paying attention, like, you know, who should I vote for for governor? Like I, you know, I don't even know who's running. and, and so I don't think that people, the, the average person who's not, you know, super online or super invested in politics, like you and I are, and Jesse Kelly and Shawn Spicer and you know, people who, who do this for A living, the average regular person isn't paying attention right now. They are paying attention though, to some of the, the issues that I think will end. they are concerned in just general conservative circles about the rise of socialist candidates on the left. they, they are seeing that they are concerned about issues like affordability. they are concerned about gas prices. They are kind of concerned about, you know, why does Trump really care about, you know, renaming Lake Ontario into Lake America and you know, tariff were with Canada when all of these other things are going on. but how much of this do you think needs to start now in terms of the messaging and the conversation around the kitchen table issue so that then when they do deploy, the GOP does deploy these resources closer, much closer to the actual election, they'll be the most impactful as possible?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think part of that is going to depend right now on where things stand with the war, because most of the affordability issues can be directly tied up with that. And so obviously I don't know where we stand, what they're hearing behind the scenes. I just obviously know what we're reporting and what we're seeing in the news. so a lot of that will be tied with that. But also I think we have to shift our overall message on affordability because right now the administration seems to be doing the same failed strategy of Joe Biden, and that is tell people who are struggling or who don't like the high prices of things that they're wrong. and that's either the prices aren't that bad or because another economic statistic is better than you think it is. People never respond to that. They didn't respond to it with Joe Biden. The difference is we actually have a reason why there are affordability issues. And that's because we are dealing with a long term enemy of, the United States and Israel, and that is in Iran. And so I do think that they can shift their message to say, I understand and you're upset about it. But I remember my grandparents, your great grandparents, who were dealing with food rationing, and things that they couldn't do because of World War II and the war effort. And so while I understand that prices are a little higher than what you want, trust me, when we deal with this terrorist regime and we don't have to have our entire military focused on the Middle east right now because of Tehran and its proxies and what the threat they mean to our allies and friends, we are going to be better off in the long term. So I'm just asking you to bear with me a little bit longer. We are almost there. I think that would be a much stronger message. But if Iran's going to wave the white flag anytime between now and probably the middle of October, you might even get a bigger bump out of it by not saying that. So I don't know, there's a lot of things that you have to, you have to take into account right now.
Jenna Ellis: Mm, Yeah. And and for the average voter, I mean, I feel like what they're taking into account more than anything is literally just how it impacts their wallet. And you know, what I'm seeing just, anecdotally, of course, you know, across social and then conversations, with, you know, commenters of this program, you know, guests and friends and all that, is that people are kind of frustrated, I think, that the economy hasn't rebounded in the first two years of Trump, like, was thriving in the first two years of his first administration. And you know, there are obviously a whole host of factors that go into that. But do you think that that is an unreasonable expectation for a lot of people to say, well, we voted for Trump in 2024 and we expected the economy to be like it was in, you know, 2018, 2019, when, you know, we're post Covid, we're still experiencing all of the effects of printing a ton of money. You know, the whole Biden inflation for four years. I mean, what, what should the White House be messaging on that point right now?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think the part of it is that, you know, that we have slowed the rate increases, especially when it comes to, like, groceries and things like that. Gasoline is the one outlier. But think about this. I mean, even though gasoline is higher than any of us, including myself, want to pay, it is still cheaper right now, despite the war with Iran, than it was with Joe Biden and his war on energy and his war on American energy. that was gas over $5 a gallon, for no good reason other than the Green NewSong Deal. At least now Donald Trump is like, look, I had it under $4. I had it close to $3 and 20 cents. I had it down. And then we had to do the war. I'll get it back down there. You just have to give me a minute. And the dirty secret is, look, nobody wants deflation, we all want lower prices. But deflation is actually just as bad, if not worse than inflation. So basically what they're trying to do is slow the rate of growth of, prices while jacking the growth, the rate of growth for the economy, for paychecks and stuff like that. So you don't feel it as much. And again, that is a lagging indicator. It's going to take six months or so from when that happens. So we're dealing with a lot of things right now that are, I would say on the good side. it's just, can you put it all together? And then ultimately it's going to be a vote of contrast. And you mentioned the socialism side. We're not dealing with a normal Democrat party anymore. The Democrat party of Bill Clinton is gone. it is now a party of radical socialist leftists, who basically outright want socialism. They're in, they're endorsing it, don't care if, you know, they can't even admit it's a problem anymore. And now they're angry that they're even being asked about it with Debbie Dingell out there. You know what, if you campaigned with Hassan Piker or if you're going to sit in a caucus with these socialists, then you are one. And we don't have to, we just should just come right out and say it and not. Don't ask the question, don't ask them m. Whether they condemn Hasan Piker if they back the socialist. No, if you get a D next to your name, you are a socialist.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And I could not agree more that this is going to be yet another election about contrast. And that itself is sort of presenting, you know, the predictable frustrations though, where a lot of people are saying, well I want to vote for someone not just against the socialist Democrat, but sometimes the practical reality is, you know, that's, that's your option. And you know the, it's like they expect the GOP candidates to be totally perfect and that all of their policy appeals to every particular policy idiosyncrasy of every single voter, which of course is not possible. But on the broader point, I mean I understand that some of these candidates, like a Darlene Graham are not going to appeal to every conservative for I think some valid reasons. But, but at the same time, you know, those are the debates that we should have during the primaries and I think that we should have had those in a better fashion. So it wasn't just, well, Trump endorsed, and this is the primary. The GOP primaries now exist as a loyalty contest, or a loyalty test rather to Trump, rather than saying, okay, let's have truly these hard fought primaries. And then that way when we all are asked to coalesce and the general general election, so that we do have this election of contrast, then there are more people who are willing to do that because they at minimum, at least felt heard rather than just dictated to by the overall MAGA movement that, well, Trump endorsed. So get on the train even before the primaries happen. I mean, do you, do you find or do you see that there may be some problem in the midterm with kind of that rationale? I mean, it worked for Trump in his own election in 2024, but filter down into his endorsed candidates, I think is a problem for the gop.
Marc Lotter: Well, I think the GOP will be able to actually do this, because let's not forget, I mean, whether they're talking about it enough or not, they still largely support the America first agenda. They are still largely, almost all in lockstep with everything that the President and Republicans have been campaigning on for the last eight to ten years. and then you contrast it against what the other person stands for, because if the other person looks, they're going to vote for Hakeem Jeffries and they're going to vote for Chuck Schumer or aoc, they're going to stand with those people because they have no choice but to have to. So no matter what they tell you on the campaign trail, just know that they will be out there with Hasan Piker and the squad and all of the other nightmare socialists that the Democrat Party is putting up and will probably elect in crazy places like here in NewSong York. So that's what you've got to deal with. And if someone checks eight of the 10 boxes, as you, I have always said, you know, Jenna, and Ronald Reagan said, it doesn't make you 8, 20% my enemy if we only agree in 80% of the things. And so we've got to remember that what we are campaigning against is even more important than what we're campaigning for, because we're largely all there on the same issues.
Mark Lauder: We need to focus on what we agree on now
what we can get them done, that's another thing. And what the Senate needs to do, that's a completely other thing. But they're largely all together on it and they will talk about it. And then when you contrast it with what the other side wants to do and what we know, that they will lie and do anything, they will tell us anything we want to hear to get power, even lying to us about Joe Biden, what he stands for or what he, you know, whether he's even cognitive, it doesn't matter to them. It's just power.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, so, so well said. And I couldn't agree with you more that we need to focus on what we agree, agree on now heading into the general rather than what we disagree on, because that ultimately matters, much, much more because we all at least are agreed that the socialists and the current Democrat Party should never see office. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has surpassed Marco Rubio in 2020 odds
Jenna Ellis: Welcome back. While I'm still here with my special guest, Mark, Lauder, who is a Newsmax hoax host. You can catch him on Newsmax, in the mornings. And a, former Trump advisor. We, we served together during, Trump's first term and, you know, can still talk about all things conservative and GOP and MAGA politics. And so, Mark, I want to get your take on this one. according to the prediction market, Kalshee, Vice President J.D. vance currently leads the 2028 presidential market at 19%, followed by guess who, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez at 14%. So she has effectively passed Marco Rubio in odds to win the 2028 presidential election because Rubio currently sits in third place. And these are prediction market odds, not polling numbers. they can of course change significantly, but a lot of people put a lot of, stock, you know, no pun intended, in Kelsey. So, you know, what do you make of this? just because there's m more chatter amongst even kind of, you know, mainline now that AOC might take a run at it.
Marc Lotter: God, I hope that's true. You know, you never want to pick your opponent. Be very careful with that because I remember back on the 16 campaign when Democrats were really hoping that Donald Trump was going to be the nominee because it'd be easier to beat, and that didn't work out so well for them. So, you know, the thing I take away from that and I don't give it much credibility, politically speaking, is that, wow, what a great choice of Republicans have between J.D. vance and Marco Rubio. And fingers crossed that they team up and go together. I don't think anybody can stop them if they do that. But you know, if the best that Democrats have to offer is aoc, what does that tell you about the state of the Democrat Party? and it's not necessarily good things because I think she has probably, you know, has very little knowledge on things that actually matter or how to get things done. but I do believe, and I've said this before, is that I do believe the far left progressive socialist squad element of the Democrat Party is tired of taking a backseat because as we both know, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, the Democrat Party did everything they could to keep comrade Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination in 2016. In 2020, they fixed the system so he could not be the nominee. And they feel like that they need, they need their shot in the sun. So if they're going to go and if that's the best they can to offer, I think the only way the Democrat Party can move on from this failed movement is to go ahead, nominate your socialist, get your clock cleaned and then truly do a debrief and to figure out what went wrong and try to do the same thing that the Republicans really kind of did to the Tea Party movement back after the 20, you know, 2010, 2012 and going, well, you had your shot. Now we're going to go back and try. Middle of the road.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, well, I mean it's so sad that if AOC is not only the best that they can put up, but actually is like comparatively with some of these candidates like El Said is running, you know, for us, ah, Senate, as you know, just this, this absolutely crazy candidate. If she's actually a little bit more moderate than some of these other ones that, and they're going, he, she'll be the one that's like going to coalesce our party. I mean that is just so insane and really shows the absolute, just derailment of the Democrat Party and that this is totally not, you know, the the Jon F. Kennedy Democrats. I mean these are not even the Bill Clinton Democrats, even the Obama Democrats. I mean, you know, this is something so completely different. And and yet, you know, then we look to the contrast. Well, if not AOC mean really, who do they have? I mean I don't see them actually nominating a Gavin Newsom because he's the old white guy, you know, and they're, they're just not going to do that for diversity purposes. Mamdani, doesn't qualify constitutionally. probably, unfortunately for them. you know, are they gonna put up Kamala Harris again? I mean, look at how that worked out. so, you know, who really do they have, other than potentially an aoc?
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, right now, if I had to say the worst case scenario for Republicans, it would be somebody like Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky. So someone who is. Who is. Who has governed largely middle of the road. I mean, obviously, I'm sure some Republicans would say no, but for them, that's middle of the road. He's. He comes from a conservative state. He won a Republican state, Ruby Red state, multiple times. and so he knows how to communicate across the aisle. And he's got a successful state that can show that they're not dealing with the fraud issues of, say, of a Minnesota or things like that. I don't think that they'll nominate a Josh Shapiro for the same reason Kamala didn't, pick him back in 2024. That's because they're anti Semites and they cannot have a Jewish candidate because, you know, the radical wing of their party now is totally anti Semitic. So I think a Governor Andy Beshear would be probably the worst case scenario for Republicans. They can still run against him, but he would actually be able to communicate with folks across the aisle. I don't think the Democrat Party is ready to do the Bill Clinton middle of the road. I feel your pain. I think they still want to run one more time because this will be the last chance they get to do it. We hate Trump.
Jenna Ellis: M. Yeah, that is such a good point. And what do you think about.
Marc Lotter: They've got to think. They've got to actually think and come up with policy and knows they're too stupid to do that. So right now they can go. The only thing they know is we hate Trump.
Jenna Ellis: Well, and, yeah, and they've been beating that drum since literally, you know, 2015. And, and. And especially when he got the nomination. And you're right, they thought, oh, woohoo, this will be really easy for us. And look at how that turned out. But then, I mean, that was what the first impeachment was all about. That's what Russiagate was all about. I mean, all of this, everything has always just been about we hate Trump. And so they're trying to run the contrast campaign that has failed them in a way that hopefully the GOP will be smarter about in the midterms when they run the contrast campaign against the actual ideas, not just, you know, we we hate aoc, but that, you know, we actually hate and should hate socialism. And here's why. but what do you think, Mark Lauder, about Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff? Because, he has in some, polling like the Emerson College poll, is showing that he's performing strongly in a hypothetical, in a general election matchup against Republicans like Vance and Rubio.
Marc Lotter: Well, I would say that that is what I would call an uneducated poll. And I'm not talking. I'm not condemning the pollster. But no money has been spent on Jon Ossoff's record. And if Jon Ossoff is a member of the United States Senate in the party that is currently led by Chuck Schumer, then he will have had to vote with every other Democrat in the Senate, all 47 of them, against simple things like, paying our troops. He closed down the government. He voted for more fraud or against efforts to stop fraud. He voted, you know, against securing the border, to dealing with the war. All of the things that they do every day, those are now campaign ads we can use against him. So right now, you see the guy on television, he goes on Ms. Now, where you get a bunch of freaking softballs, and he looks good, but wait till we start dropping money on him. It may not be enough to change that Senate race. You never know. But on a national scale, I think it's completely different.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah.
It seems like we used to actually debate more of the policy, not popularity
And you know, how much of this, as well, has changed in the social media kind of, you know, viral video landscape where, you know, we used to. Or maybe I'm sort of romanticizing politics past, but it seems like we used to actually debate more of the policy, not the popularity contest, and not, you know, some of these, like, just utterly ridiculous, you know, TikTok videos that we're seeing from especially the Democrat candidates that I think are, frankly, so embarrassing. But, you know, how much of this, especially for young voters, do you think is more personality than it actually is policy?
Marc Lotter: Well, I think that's always been a little bit of the case. I mean, obviously, I think we were. We romanticized Ronald Reagan. You know, we saw the cowboy wrapped up in the American flag and making America great again. Years before Donald Trump said, let's make America great again, or even George W. Bush swaggering around like a cowboy, you know, talking about dealing with the terrorists. So there's always been the performative side of politics, but we also had a serious policy debate. The other issue was, was that the parties for that m. For that matter, to use a football analogy, were really arguing between the 40s. You, know, we were not too far. We were right of center. They were like slightly left of center, maybe 10 yards. Now, I mean, literally the Democrats are so far to the left, they're not even in the stadium anymore. I mean, they're closer to Beijing and Moscow than they are to anywhere in the United States. And so that's what we're dealing with. It's not even a rational debate because they've gone so far off the deep end that you can barely see them.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah, and, and that's what is, is the most concerning, I think, about the, the two party system right now is that, you know, the Democrats still have a lot of money, a lot of power, a lot of control, and they are not putting up even remotely reasonable candidates that should be anywhere near public office. Because you're right, it isn't just, well, this is a little bit to the left or this is, you know, more to the right. But it's still within the context of, you know, we all at least agree on the, the goals for America. We just may disagree on kind of how to get there or some policy. but we're still kind of all within maybe the same construct of reality. I mean, the Democrats can't even, you know, define what a woman is. They can't, you know, define, even within, you know, rationality, that it's, it should be just a basic thing in the United States that, you know, we don't perform, transgender surgeries on minor kids, you know, but we're debating these things as if they are debatable questions or debatable issues instead of at least agreeing on the rational basis for this country and just maybe some tweaks here and there of policy. And that's where I think, you know, we've, we've come so far in the last year, 20, 30, 40 years in this country that, you know, no one I think would have ever predicted, including the founders and you know, their wildest dreams. And so, you know, just, just wrapping up here because we've got to head to break shortly.
Mark Lauder: The GOP really does need a message heading into 2028
Mark Lauder, what do you think is the prime message though, that can drive the policy more than just the personality that the GOP really does need, to message heading into 2028. Because I think a lot of and it's not just young voters, it's a lot of voters in general maybe don't actually see the dangers of what the Democratic Party, currently represents.
Marc Lotter: Well, I mean, first and foremost, I think we have to remind people that even though it's not where we want it to be, it is still a lot better than what it was the last time the Democrats had control. inflation was worse, groceries cost more, gas cost more. The world was at war. You know, you had October 7th, you had Russia invading Ukraine. Yeah, we attacked Iran, but Iran has been at a war with us for 47 years. but look at what happened when they had the levers of power and they were supposedly, they were the adults in the room. The world fell apart, the economy fell apart, which is why they brought back Donald Trump. The other thing I would say, too, is that when you hear Democrats making these crazy ideas, don't just rely on the, Just rely on wrapping yourself in the American flag and go, that's not American. Force them to say where it works. Show me one example where your socialized medicine works, because Brits hate it. Canadians know they pay too much and they have to wait years for basic service. They let people die because of cancer because they can't get them in in time for their services. Go to Europe, where all of those socialist countries can't afford anything. We have to perform their basic self defense because they can't afford to do it for themselves. And when you ask them to do it, they say, no, it doesn't work. So don't just say, that's not how our founders did it. Let's just say, well, show me where it works. I'll debate you on that every day. And you will lose. And when people realize that their free fantasies don't add up, then they'll start ignoring it.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And so well said. I mean, this isn't just about what the founders would have wanted. It's what actually works. An investigation reveals Muslim oriented Girl Scout troops nationwide
Jenna Ellis: Welcome back. Well, speaking of the world view and the just utter craziness that is the left and the Democrat socialists, there is also a rise of course in Muslim candidates that is going around across the country. And there is an interesting piece in the Washington stand this week that an investigation reveals Muslim oriented Girl Scout troops, quote unquote, nationwide. So according to this commentary, Girl Scout troops have become a vehicle for Muslims to promote their faith in an American style. According to recent investigation by independent journalist Natalie Winters, Winters found Girl Scout troops operated out of mosques from coast to coast with specific awards created for a quote, Girl Scout of the Islamic faith. Winters notes that awards were created by the National Islamic Committee on Girl Scouting rather than Girl Scouts usa, indicating the extent to which Girl Scouts have allowed their brand to be Islamized. So let's welcome in Brad Brandon, who's the founder of Across Nigeria. And Brad, this is very concerning on a number of levels, especially with the controversy surrounding Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts of America. but you know, this really just shows the level and extent to which the Islamification of America is is commencing. And I think that the candidates for office are just one example of the overall problem. And this report is very concerning.
Brad Brandon: Yeah, it is concerning. I mean clearly there's discrimination here and the DEI groups have co, opted, even now and long ago they've co opted the Girl Scouts, they're giving Muslim badges for celebrating Ramadan pilgrimages to Mecca and Quran reading. Now my question to all of this is are they doing and have done the same thing for Christians? And the answer is no. There's no badges for Bible reading. There's no badges for taking communion. There's no badges, badges for being a Christian or going to church. So they've ignored the predominant religion of the United States of America for the last 250 years. And they have now adopted really a Muslim brand of Girl Scouts and giving them awards and badges for this. The real danger in this comes down to Islam's attitude towards women and girls. They are not sympathetic to the dignity of women or girls. Women are treated as second class citizens at best. And I know this because I predominantly work in northern Nigeria. 12 of the northern Nigeria states are controlled by a very strict form of Sharia law where there's genital mutilation and a woman's testimony under Sharia law is worth half that of a man's. So when you're talking about the dignity of women and girls, I would think that the Girl Scouts would be an organization that would want to uphold the dignity, the rights of women, the value of women. And they're aligning themselves with a, with a religion that is not known for that and does not practice that. And that's very dangerous anywhere that Sharia law and Islamic rule gets an influence.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And that's such a great point. And it's so fascinating how you know the left which has claimed for years that they're the party of equality, they're the party of women, they're the, you know, the worldview, that seeks to dismantle the patriarchy and all of the you know, abuses that women have suffered through, through history. And you know, particularly in the United States, they claim they end up completely refuting their own assertion by having men in women's sports, by having men in women's spaces, by saying that men can become women in fact, and now here, upholding these views by certain religions that do discriminate against women and abuse them, in fact, and yet the girls scouts responded saying the reporting was misinformation, which you know, that's the typical response. But they said in their statement, here are the facts. Girl Scouts is not a religious organization and does not teach religion. For more than a century we welcomed girls of every faith and background. Our national My Promise, My Faith pin invites girls to connect the Girl Scout law with their own faith. Any other faith based patches are developed by independent faith organizations, not Girl Scouts of the usa. Girl Scouts is proudly for every girl. But the problem that I see with this response is that, okay, you're claiming you're not a religious organization and not teaching religion yet clearly you are and you're encouraging and incentivizing this through patches that are of a specific Islamic faith. Yeah.
Brad Brandon: And not only are they promoting that, but they have a badge for bringing somebody with you to celebrate Ramadan. So that is like almost evangelizing Islam, and the spread of Islam. So if they're talking out of both sides of their mouth and they're doing damage control at this point because they've been found out. And what's been found out is that they are, in fact, promoting religion. And it's not Christianity, Christianity, it's not Judaism. There's no badges for Catholics or Christians or Jews. they're promoting a religion that is violent, that is inherently violent, and it's a religion of conquest. We've seen that around the world. In 1981, there was one country that had Sharia law as its legal system. Fast forward to the present day. There's 39. The Islamic religion has a global agenda. And let's face it, the whole DEI agenda that's behind this isn't about women's rights. It's not about women in sports and equal rights for all religions. It's about control. It's about totalitarianism. So, they will partner and parallel with anyone who has that ideology of totalitarianism. So Islam does, it's a religion of control. And socialism, is a ideology of control. Communism is an ideology of control. So DEI gravitates to all of those groups that, that align with their ideology of totalitarianism and control.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And, you know, and this is where this goes so far beyond just the Girl Scouts. But the author of this piece in, the Washington Stand, Joshua Arnold, says and, and recognizes that Muslims, however, come from a different perspective than the Christians, who built these organizations. Most Muslims in America, he writes, come from families who have only been in this country for, say, one to three generations. Their culture has never participated in the Americana that informed the original scouting organizations. For them, American, culture is at least foreign, if not hostile, like what you're saying. This may explain why Muslims are willing to participate in the Girl Scouts even if it does not entirely align with Muslim values. They are tickled if they can get some approval for their religious preferences under its umbrella. So I see this, as, you know, kind of this multifaceted slow creeping into and the pervasive undermining of American culture, which, of course is built on, the Christian truth and Western values that are completely, antithetical to Sharia law and what Islam teaches. And so this type of example is showing the proliferation of the Muslim culture and values instead of the assimilation that should happen when foreigners come to the United States with a wish to remain here. And how dangerous is it? Brad, especially with your experience as you're talking about ah, what's happening in Nigeria, with now having some even candidates for public office that will be making some of these laws that should be in accordance with our legal system, the U.S. constitution. Constitution that affirm and avow Islam and Sharia law. Yeah.
Brad Brandon: The values that you're mentioning are Judeo Christian at their base. That's what our whole country was based on. So the idea of natural rights and natural law, free will, freedom, all of these are Judeo Christian values. Islam does not have that. Their mindset is completely different. m. Muslims and Islam is not they do not assimilate to a culture. their agenda is to dominate that culture. And we see them making their way in inroads into various groups and organizations, political and otherwise here in the United States. Now Europe is the canary in the coal mine. This has already been done. you have whole areas, of major cities throughout Europe that have no go zones. These are areas where first responders cannot go into and police officers cannot enter into these Islamic controlled areas. They've already dabbled with this and they've found that this is you know, bad fruit, that bad things are happening because of this. And we're seeing a backlash, a movement that is pushing back on this now in the UK and in Europe. it's almost like we have blinders on and we can't see what's already been experimented with in Europe and other places around the world and we're willing to give it a try. We're going to suffer the same exact thing, things that they've suffered in the UK and throughout Europe. As long as we allow this to continue to creep its way into our culture and into our systems. You know, this is the same thing that happened not too long ago just a few weeks ago in California. It was found out that California schools were bringing children to mosques and in public schools and encouraging the children to do Quran reading and wear hijabs and, and do Islamic religious practices on these field trips. They don't take their children to churches and cathedrals and synagogues, but they're taking them to mosques. It's another way that Islam is dominating the culture.
Brad Anderson says it's important to talk about Muslim encroachment in America
They work their way in step by step and then they push their agenda throughout that culture that they enter into. We've seen this happen time again. We know the playbook already.
Jenna Ellis: Yeah. And this is why it's so important to continue to talk about the slow, but pervasive and persistent encroachment of the overall Muslim ideology, because, you know, so many Democrats right now are saying, oh, what are. What's the big deal? Like the Sharia Free America Caucus, like, you guys are just, you know, trying to, harp at a boogeyman. But they're purposefully, I think, ignoring what's actually happening because they want us to ignore it until possibly it's too late. And of course we can't and shouldn't do that. and so, you know, where. Where do you see, as the. The distinction between, you know, recognizing that, you know, yes, we, allow for religious freedom in this country, you know, certainly freedom of belief, but we don't allow for freedom of, of distinctions in our laws and what our U.S. constitution, explicitly provides for civil government. And there has to continue to be that distinction.
Brad Brandon: Yeah, absolutely. Because, you know, I look at how things happened in Nigeria, northern Nigeria particularly, because that's where. That's where I spend most of my time. And if you go back 25 years ago, Muslims and Christians lived absolutely at peace with each other. Sometimes in the same communities. They celebrated festivities together. They had meals in each other's homes. It was, it was peaceful throughout Northern Nigeria. with the introduction of radical Islam in 2002 with groups like Boko Haram and ISWA and more recently Lakurawa, these are all radical terrorist groups.
Brad Brandon: that all changed in 2002, and the whole area became under Islamic rule. And I just came back about six weeks ago from being there for four months, and, Boko Haram was telling all of us Christians we should either
Brad Brandon: convert or die, and that they were going to run all of the Christians out of Nigeria. the stated goal of these radical groups is to take over the entire country of Nigeria. that's what they do. Again, not assimilating, but dominating. And, that's what they do when they get into Europe.
Brad Brandon: That's what happens. When they get into the uk that's what happens now that they're getting into the United States. We see the very beginnings of that happening now. And you know, I always say you should nip it in the bud now because it is much harder to get rid of it once it's solidified like it is in Northern Nigeria, where it's the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian right now. Last year, 72% of all the Christians killed in the world were killed in northern Nigeria, at the hands of radical Islam. so that's the end result of what we're seeing the beginning steps happening here in the United States and we have the ability to stop it now. But Christian people have to stand up and we have to start calling out these things as we see them as they're happening. And that's what you're doing on your show. And so I'm appreciative of you even just bringing this up and talking about this.
