Jeff Chamblee Welcome to Real Truth for Today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Now, here's Pastor Jeff.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, good Tuesday morning and welcome to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. It is voting day in America. It is the responsibility of every Christian, especially every Christian, to vote to render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's. And Caesar wants you to vote. We are a constitutional republic. That means that, we, the people are the kings in America. We elect people to represent us in government, but we determine who those representatives are. We're not democracy. We're a constitutional republic. So we need to exercise, the privilege that we have to vote. to not vote is, a crime against humanity. It's a crime against Americans. You as a Christian, not going to, seek the welfare of the city. And it's a crime against God. God's given you this privilege, this responsibility. You need to get out there and vote and vote correctly. Vote for biblical values. Vote for the person that is going to move us closer to the Lord's side, not further away from it. Well, to encourage us, Psalm 121, a great Psalm. A psalm, and a song of ascents. They would sing this as they would, go up to Jerusalem for one of the three great feasts of the year. The psalmist says, I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord. From Yahweh, who made heaven and earth from. He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord. Yahweh is your keeper. The Lord Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will protect you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord Yahweh will guard your going out and you're coming in from this time forth. Well, it is a privilege and an honor for me to welcome to the program, one of my favorite favorite guests, and that is Bishop E.W. jackson. He is a m. Marine The Core veteran, a Harvard lawyer, pastor, author, and the founder and president of Stand Staying True to America's National Destiny. Bishop, it is wonderful to have you on this particular morning, especially voting day in America.
Bishop EW Jackson Pastor Jeff, it's always a pleasure and an honor to be with you, my friend. and look, this is election D day and there is no question about it, there's a lot at stake. And so I'm just grateful to be on with you to talk about it and encourage people maybe who haven't voted to make sure that they get out there and vote
Pastor Jeff Schreve okay. Bishop, I wanted to, get a lot of things to talk to you about, but, we hear a lot about, and a lot of pastors have said this, that an election is, we are choosing between the lesser of two evils. And then you have some of these guys that don't think pastors should ever talk about anything that could be considered political. It's never about a lesser, of two evils. Charles Spurgeon said in A choice between two evils, choose neither. one pastor, posted online, he said, hey, it's permissible to have a right in vote. You know, you can just vote for whoever you want. And to me, Bishop, I, think a write in vote is a wasted vote. It's going to be one of two guys. It's either going to be the Democrat or the Republican that are going to win the race. And if you're a conservative and you write in a vote for somebody else, or you don't vote, or you say, well, I'm just going to skip that because I can't vote for this guy, that I don't like his character, I'll just not vote in that particular race. the decision to not decide is a decision for the other side. How do you see, that phrase, the lesser of two evils?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, I think that, that, you know, that's like saying, you know, abortion is justified because you gotta save the lives of mothers. Well, we know that that is the rarity that is the infinitesimal part of what abortion relates to. And likewise with voting, there may be those rare occasions, and I've experienced it, when I was in Massachusetts. I mean, there were times when, brother, it was. I mean, there was simply nobody to vote for because the Republicans were as bad as the Democrats then. But that' the rare case. And here we're, in my view, presented with a stark choice between two different visions for America. And one of the reasons why I could not bring myself to vote for a Democrat, even if the Democrat himself or herself was somebody, I thought, well, you know, this person is reasonable, but the party stands for evil, the party platform stands for evil. And that person is going to be caught up in what that party platform represents. I can't support that at all. And so in this case, you're right. I don't see any write in votes. I don't see any. Well, I'm going to sit this now because the lesser of two evils. No, I think this is in fact, if you look at the platforms, this is in fact a choice between good and evil, between socialism and liberty, between whether unborn babies are going to be defended or whether they're going to be slaughtered, ah, in greater and greater numbers, and whether children are going to be mutilated, under some crazy is the idea that they're born in the wrong body, or we're going to acknowledge that God created two genders and that's all there is.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, Bishop, I said Sunday, I preached on, the need of the hour, which is, from the sons of Issachar. They had discernment. They understood the times with knowledge of what Israel should do. It seems to me, and I want you to chime in on this, it seems to me that we have so many people who call themselves Christians. Whether they are, remains to be seen. The Lord knows those who are his, but they identify as Christians, yet they say, well, I'm voting for James, Talarico, good, Christian boy. Put that in quotes. I'm voting for El Said, good Muslim boy. I mean, it's just insane. And, it's like, do you have zero discernment? you're like a little child that's crawling on the floor, picking up spiders in the corner and putting them in their mouths. what do you see in the Christian community when it comes to this subject of discernment?
Bishop EW Jackson Yeah, don't forget Jews who are going to vote for El Sayed because they think that that's the best way to protect the Jewish people. Because he's so much for the Jewish people. I mean, look, I really believe this, and you've heard me say it before. I believe that the Democratic Party has become a demonic culture. And it doesn't matter what you call yourself as long as you adhere to the cult. I mean, you see what Haley Stevens is going through by not supporting EL Sayed. I mean, they're saying this woman is mentally ill now, which is exactly what cults do. Anybody who does not bow to the cult, those people are considered to be crazy, off, certifiable. those people are slated for destruction because you must bow to the cult no matter what. Not to your family, not to your values, not to God, not to. You must bow to the cult. In fact, you know, it reminds me of the Jewish people who said, well, we're Jews, but we. But we don't have a problem worshiping a little BAAL here and there and a little Molech here and there. Well, you know, they had really rejected the covenant of their God, as the scripture says, and they had embraced something else. So they were really idolaters, man. This. This thing doesn't operate like a political party anymore. It really does operate like a cult. And any person who votes for them and then claims to be a Christian, I would argue case closed, verdict in. You are not a Christian because if you have the discernment that Jesus Christ gave the body of Christ, even a modicum of it, you would know you can't vote for people who support the things they support.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah. You know, Bishop, I think about, Elijah on Mount Carmel, 1 Kings 18. How long will you hesitate between two opinions? You can't say you follow Yahweh and vote for baal. That just doesn't. That doesn't compute. what fellowship has light with darkness? What fellowship has Christ with Belial? Those two things are not, They don't intersect in any way.
Bishop EW Jackson No. But, you know, what's happening is we, the body of Christ, by the spirit of God, are having it revealed to us who's real. He said the Lord knows them that are his. And that's true. And it may be again, the rare cases some Christians confused maybe, and talked to by somebody who's important in their lives and convinced to do this. But I'm just convinced that what we are witnessing is a shaking and a filtering out of who the true Christians are. Tall Rico's not a Christian, just like I always say. Barack Obama's not a Christian. No, these people may go to some church, where the pastor tells them, we don't know if Jesus really existed. You know, this kind of crazy stuff. But these people are not Christians. So we, the body of Christ, have really got to come together across all racial and cultural lines and stand up for the word of God.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay, so Bishop, let me ask you, in the black community, do you see the black community as a whole starting to come to their senses a little bit with, hey, the Democrats, they say they're going to help me. They come around every election cycle to say how they're for me and they're going to help me. But you look around at these Democrat run cities, I don't think they're helping the black community. one of the things that bothers me so much is we have this idea, especially in the church, we have this idea that the Democrats care for the poor, Republicans don't care for the poor. One of the greatest things you can do for the poor is to have law and order and to punish evildoers and to not let gangs run wild. that helps everybody. That especially helps the poor. But, touch on that if you would. Do the Democrats really care about the poor? Are they really helping the poor? Are all these programs in California really helping the poor?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, I'll tell you what, they're certainly helping the Democrats keep control of the poor. but as far as helping the poor is concerned, what they're doing is keeping them poor, keeping them dependent, keeping them under control. I mean, you know, I've said the spirit of the Democrat party has not changed since the days of slavery. It was the party of controlling people for the benefit of a few, and it's still the party of controlling people for the benefit of a few. since the Great Society program started, the black family has been decimated. Black poverty has not diminished in any significant way, except slightly, occasionally with the implementation of anti poverty programs that never bring people out of poverty. They just give them a higher subsistence existence. And that's not bringing people out of poverty because we know that in order to bring people out of poverty, they've got to have a certain set of values, they've got to have skills, some level of education that allows them to be, effective in the marketplace in terms of selling those skills. and the Democrat party's done exactly the opposite. I said they used to outlaw black people being educated and learning to read. Well, they don't have to outlaw it now. They just stick them in schools where they're never going to learn to read. So you got the same outcome Even though you've got a whole different set of, parameters and you got a different patina, it's got a little style. Different style to it, but the outcome is exactly the same. No, the Democrat Party's been the most destructive force to hit the black community in America ever. And that goes right from the days of slavery. And I'd say, look, I see holes. You said as a whole. Not as a whole, but I see holes. We see black folks saying they're not going to vote for El Sayed. We saw about. I, think some argue 25% of black men voted for Donald Trump. I see holes. I'm looking for that major movement. I really believe it's going to come. but look, conservatives and Republicans are going to have to invest in this because the Democrats are certainly investing in keeping them in bondage.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, well, it's sad that people can't see through that. To me, Bishop, you look at some of these, Chicago, Baltimore, some of these cities that have been run by Democrats. Nobody would want to live there. it's terrible. And these people have no choice. They're kind of locked into this and, you know, drive by shootings and just the danger of being on the streets. And, now you. You were saved from that. Your own testimony, your dad took you out of that. You could have been a thug running the streets, back when you were a kid, but he wouldn't allow that to happen. now, was your city that bad that you grew up in?
Bishop EW Jackson Oh, it was bad. It was bad. And my father changed the trajectory of my life. See, this is the other thing I say. You can't solve these problems simply with economic and political answers. You need a spiritual answer. And that was really, ultimately what my father gave me.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Amen to that. Well, you're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. I'm talking to my good friend, Bishop E.W. jackson. Bishop Jackson is a Marine The Core veteran, Harvard trained lawyer, pastor, author, and the founder and president of Stand Staying True to America's National Destiny. my heart, is knit to Bishop Jackson because he's a fighter for America. He's going to stand up and speak up. he's not a coward. He's very bold in his witness and bold in, standing up for America because he wants to pass on the baton of freedom to his children and to his grandchildren. So you're listening to American Family Radio. We'll be right back.
Candace talks about finding out she was pregnant. Thankfully, an ultrasound provided by PreBorn allowed her to hear her
Jeff Chamblee baby's heartbeat. The sonogram sealed the deal for me. My baby was like this tiny little spectrum of hope and I saw his heart beating on the screen and knowing that there's life growing inside, I mean, that sonogram changed my life. I went from just Candace to mom. Thank you to everybody that has given these gifts. You guys are giving more than money. You guys are giving love.
Preborn currently has clinics that do not have ultrasound machines. Would you consider, consider a leadership gift and sponsor a machine today? Jeff Chamblee This is real truth for today. Podcasts of the program are available on the podcast [email protected] now back to Pastor Jeff Schrieve or
Pastor Jeff Schreve welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here talking to my good friend Bishop E.W. jackson. It's voting day in America and, we have a two party system. You say, well, they're independents. Yeah, they're independents. But, it's going to be a Republican or a Democrat that's going to control the House or the Senate. it's going to be a Republican or a Democrat that's going to be elected in these various races around the country. And, Bishop, I wanted to play this clip for you and get you to comment on it. Caroline Levitt, who in my opinion was one of the best press secretaries we've ever seen. just so sharp. But this is what she had to say on the news, I think it was last night.
Caroline This is no longer the Democrat Party of jfk. This is no longer your granddaddy's Democrat Party. This is a far left extremist party that wants to open our borders, abolish prisons, abolish police, and open our country to unlawful, criminal, illegal aliens from all over this world. We saw how bad things were under Joe Biden. He was moderate compared to the people who are on the ballot tomorrow. so go out, make your voice heard, say, not here, not in America. Are we going to allow communism? Are we going to allow socialism? Again, you have to make your voice heard,
Pastor Jeff Schreve agree.
Bishop EW Jackson Amen. Look, you couldn't say it more clearly and that, you know, you pose this issue of, you know, we're voting for the lesser of two evils. We're voting to make sure that the agenda that President Trump has been implementing can carry on without the obstructions that the Democrat party will bring to him if they are allowed to take control of the House and. Or the Senate. That's, I mean, that's what this is ultimately all about. Look, I'm no big fan of Susan Collins, but I believe that Susan Collins will be, for the most part, a vote for President Trump, a vote to help him with his agenda. And, yeah, I can say the same thing about several Republicans who, I think, you know, they're nothing to write home about. But we've got to make sure we put tools in the hands of President Trump that will allow him to continue for the next two years what he started, because I think the country, the economy is going to rebound. We're gonna see gas prices come down. I think he's got the right vision and the right approach for doing the things that I think Americans want in terms of not only their economic reality, but the spiritual and cultural reality of the country. I think the president is on the right track. He believes in America. He believes that America is a godly nation, and we may not always like the things he says, but I think that that's his general predisposition, and that's what I'm supporting.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Bishop, how do you respond to the, real issue of character? Because I've had people say, well, you know, you go after the Democrats on these, party platforms, which, I mean, you just. I said, Sunday, I preached on this and said, look at, you know, discernment says you look at who's on your team. If you're on the team with the baby killers of Planned Parenthood, with the trans insanity folks, with the gay marriage folks, with the open border folks, with the drag queen groomers, with the, you know, every. With the socialists, with the Islamists. You're on the wrong team. I mean, it doesn't take a lot of discernment. I think a blind man could see, hey, I can't as a Christian, I can't be on that team. But then they say, well, yeah, but look at you. Don't point out all the deficiencies in Ken Paxton or in Mike Rogers or in Donald Trump. and we do have that. It's not like the Republicans are the white, knight in shining armor. They're not that.
Bishop EW Jackson No, look, by the way, you left out someone, you left out a group, which is the Wiccans. The witches are engaging in spells. And, they're devoting a lot of time and energy to trying to cast spells to get Democrats elected. Ah, Calling for. They're calling it blue wave. Magic and blue wave spells. So add them to the mix. Why in the world would any Christian think that you're in the right place? When you look around, you see witches, homosexuals, all kinds of weird ideas about life, than the notion that, you know, there's really no crime for which you ought to be incarcerated. I mean, you know, it just doesn't make any sense at all. And I think this is again, where across all racial and cultural lines, if instead of focusing on, party labels, we focused on principle, and instead of focusing on personality, we would focus on what does the word of God teach. And again, I have heard no president more forcefully asserted the godliness of America and America's culture than President Trump. And let's remember this, Su Jeff, there's not a single person on earth who would be perfect. if you want to find something to criticize, you can find it in me, you can find it in you, you can find it in Founding fathers, you can find it in anybody. The question is, what is the person's life dedicated to? What are they trying to achieve, what are they trying to do? And are they trying to do it in a moral and ethical way? And, I. President Trump meets those qualifications. I have no qualms whatsoever about having voted for him for president twice, and I would do it again if he were constitutionally permitted to run. Mm.
Pastor Jeff Schreve What? Give, me your take on Abdul El said
Bishop EW Jackson he's an Islamist and he's lying about it, in the same way that President Trump, I mean, President, Obama, lied about a lot of things. He lied about, you know, same sex marriage and all that. I think he's taking a page out of his book. He's just lying and saying whatever he thinks he needs to say. But, you know, the truth always leaks out. Like when you can't distinguish whether Iran or Israel pose a greater threat to the United States of America. Right. That tells you all you need to know. When Iran has threatened America and denounced America and called for the destruction of America, and Israel has been an ally ever since Israel was reformed in 1948, I mean, clearly something is wrong with you. and I think that that's something we'll only be more pronounced. If he manages to get elected, the real him is going to come out even more. He's hiding it now.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah. in your state of Virginia, you have, some constitutional amendments on the ballot.
Bishop EW Jackson Yeah, we sure do. And I tell you, two of them, most Christians have been focused on. But I say we need to focus on the third two. One, of course, uncredited abortions. That's all you need to know. Vote no on that question. When they, it starts out they want a constitutional amendment to assure reproductive rights for women. Wherever you see reproductive rights, you know that's euphemism for killing unborn babies. So we vote no on that. And then they have another, constitutional amendment, that one that's in fact one for same sex marriage, by the way. and of course they want to enshrine that in the Constitution. They throw race in there as a way of saying, well, if you vote against this, you're voting against interracial marriage. So diabolical. But this is about same sex marriage they want in the Virginia Constitution. But here's the third that nobody's talking about. They actually want rights restored to convicts not after they paid their debt to society, but when they're released from incarceration. And I said this is a scheme to add them to their political machine. So you're reporting to a parole officer, you're reporting to a probation officer, but now you can vote. And guess what that probation officer is going to say to you. Did you register? Who are you voting for? Because you know you gotta vote for the people who got you out of prison and are keeping you out. Because you vote for those Republicans, they'll put you right back. I'm voting no on that, too. I believe people's rights ought to be restored after they paid their debt to society and they are no longer under anyone's supervision. But this is just a scheme to add these people to their voting rolls,
Pastor Jeff Schreve Bishop, because you've been involved in politics for a long time and you, obeyed the Lord when he put it upon your heart to run for president, even though, the machine wouldn't really give you an opportunity, a lane to run in one of the, knocks on politics in general. We want Christians to get involved in politics. We need Christians to get involved, not just voting, but running. But it's a compromising situation. That's kind of the nature of the beast, which goes against Christianity. We're not to compromise with the world. How do you see that and how does that affect a Christian that gets into that arena?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, obviously it puts you at a disadvantage in an arena where people will lie, steal, cheat, pretty much do anything in order to win. And, we Christians won't do that. I mean, I've said to people that's probably why I didn't get elected. I mean, I was told, for example, the first time when I won the Nomination for lieutenant governor. You got to go see the Muslims. You got to talk to the Muslims. You got to go to the mosque. I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it because I am not going to bow and kowtow to idolaters. if God can't get me elected, without them, then he doesn't want me elected. He wants me elected. but I'm not going to get elected and then owe something to them. So you got to make a decision. Is this what God wants me to do? And if God wants you to do it, leave the outcome in his hands. But I always say we don't compromise our integrity in order to get the result we think God wants, because God doesn't need that kind of help.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, very good. the Rick Green alliance, the combination of the Muslims and the Marxists. we've talked about this a lot on Real Truth for today. I know that's on your heart, too. you know, both are deadly. Both kill people. Both destroy lives and misery for the masses. but one has an agenda. The Muslims to take over. And everyone, you bow your knee to Allah, or we're going to subjugate you or kill you. that is gaining so much speed in America today. And people are so oblivious. They say, well, you know, Muslims make up, what, 1% of the American population? Why are you guys getting all bent out of shape about this? Bishop, why are you kind of bent out of shape if we can use that expression about this?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, Bolsheviks made up only a small percentage of Russia when they took over, and Mao's movement made up only a small percentage of China. That's not the issue. The issue is whether they get their hands on the levers of power in order to control the population. It's not whether the population all goes along with them. so that's the first thing people need to understand. They're not less dangerous because, oh, well, they're only a small percentage. And look at what they're doing in other countries. I mean, you know, Boko Haram, isis, Al Qaeda, the Taliban. And on and on it goes in these countries, where basically a small group of people are ruling with an iron hand over the majority. So we. Look, I am convinced Islam is completely incompatible with American culture. We have to obviously recognize the citizens of Islam that we have in our country, citizens of, our country who are Islamic or Muslim. But in my view, we ought to stop allowing Muslims into our country from foreign countries. We ought to just stop it and say, look, it's presumptive. If you come from a Muslim country, your teaching and enculturation are incompatible with our constitutional republic. And we are not letting you in unless there's some extraordinary basis for an exception.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, Amen to that. I've been playing clips from the guy, ah, from Poland, Dominique Traczynski. And, he just. He says, you know, we don't let them in. we don't take in immigrants, and Poland doesn't have the problems that you're seeing in France and Germany and Italy and all these other places. that seems harsh to people. The liberals don't like that kind of, harsh hard line. But if you want to preserve your country and help the poor, you don't help the poor by letting these people in to rape them and massacre them.
Bishop EW Jackson Look, we have an American culture that not only is worthy of preservation, we have a duty to preserve it. And the more we bring in people who don't recognize, honor it, respect it, the more likely it is that that culture is going to be destroyed and we're going to be remade into something else. And we, as Christians ought to be the first to stand up for that, because we have a responsibility to make sure that America remains a nation based upon a cultural, culturally Christian nation based upon Judeo Christian values and principles. And again, inviting all these people from around the world who come with a different mindset is just. It's societal suicide for us. You know, I've always said, people say we got to save Western civilization. I said, well, then what you're really saying is we gotta save America because Europe is gone. They're gone. I mean, you know, Western Europe, forget about it. America must do what they would not. Were not willing to do if we want to make sure that we don't end up where they are right now.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Bishop, what do you see happening in Iran? Do you see any light, at the end of the tunnel with them, that conflict?
Bishop EW Jackson You know, look, I have a lot of confidence in President Trump, but I'll tell you what. I think that the Iranian regime, left to their own devices, will lie, will cheat, will say whatever they need to say at the moment they think they need to say it, and then do whatever they want to do. I think we will never, have any sort of peaceful arrangement with Iran until the regime is destroyed and people take over who have, shall we say, more compatibility with Western values.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, well, it's definitely a difficult situation. I maintain that. I don't think. And President Trump is, he's a smart guy, but I don't know if he understands the mindset of a Muslim and that those people will not quit, I mean, unless you smash them in the mouth. That's all they really understand is power and, might and force. And if you give them an inch, they're going to take a mile.
Bishop EW Jackson And, Pastor Jeff, let me just add, these are not Sunni Muslims. These are Shia Muslims. They are Twelvers. They believe in the coming of the Mahdi. They believe that an apocalyptic war or occurrence, is what will usher in the macd. And so these people are delusional. I mean, they are. These are the worst of the worst. By the way, Zoran Mamdani is one of those Twelvers, too, who believe that the Mahdi is coming. So, yeah, they're the worst of the worst, if you will. No wonder they're the major exporters of terrorism around the world because they believe that could be one way of ushering in the Mahdi. So the more upheaval you have, the better off you are and the closer you are to seeing a worldwide caliphate.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, you're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on American Family Radio, talking to my good friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And we're talking about the election. It is election day in America. Midterms are typically lower in, participation, but this one needs to be higher. It is required, I, believe of every Christian to vote, to vote for biblical values. Listen, the choice voice couldn't be clearer. You have, one. One party that wants to take the country so far left. And the other party, although it's not perfect, it still wants to be hopefully on the Lord's side or closer to the Lord's side. And so we have a choice to make. When we come back from the break, we'll take your calls. 888-589-8840. That's 885-89840. Pick up the phone, give us a call, and let's talk.
Jeff Chamblee If you'd like to contact Pastor Jeff, email pastor jeffromhisheart.org now back to Real Truth for today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here, we're talking about voting day in America. Today is the day. If you haven't voted yet, you need to make. Make plans to do so. The polls are open till 7:00pm and, there is so much at stake in this midterm election, and Christians especially, we need to vote. And we need to vote according to biblical Values. if you don't like the phrase the lesser of two evils, well, that's what you have. And we have two flawed candidates. But you have on the ballot one flawed candidate who wants to take the country, on a bullet train to, Never Never Land. I mean, you're just going to go, off the cliff. And the other, wants to at least keep, us in the realm of sanity. As, Willie Rice said, it's not a choice between the right or the left. It's the choice between the right or the wrong. And you don't want to vote for that, which is wrong. Blatantly wrong. Pro abortion, pro Islam, pro transgender insanity, pro open borders, pro no bail. This stuff just pro crime. You can't have a society like that. We will implode and self destruct if we do that. Well, we're going to the phone lines. 888-589-8840. And, Bishop Jackson is with us. If you have a question or comment, we'd love to hear from you. And we have Sarah on the line from Alabama. Sarah, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Thank you. I am so, appreciative of your program and what you are talking about. I, I believe every election is important, you know, from grassroots on up. And I guess I have a little bit of PTSD from the 2020 election about how, ah, ballots were harvested. And just I know also that the SAVE act has been. They've been trying to pass that, but they have saved. They've passed it in the House, but they have roadblocks in the Senate. So it's so important that we vote for, you know, who our senators are in every state. what I was wondering was, the military vote, what percentage do you know of? Ah, the military overseas vote counts or has impact. And,
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, that's a good question, Sarah. Okay. So, Bishop, I meant to ask you about that. I appreciate Sarah bringing that up. We still have the issue of voter integrity, and, they defeated the SAVE act, which, didn't make any sense at all. Obviously, America is for the Saved Act. Save Act. Overwhelmingly for the SAVE Act. But the Democrats, they bullied the Republicans into not getting that passed in the Senate. And so what, what assurance do we have that, this will be a free and fair election?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, look, none other than we have to vote so overwhelmingly that it makes it difficult, if not impossible, for them to cheat. Look, you know, some of this has to be laid at the feet of Republicans, too, because if Democrats get Control. I've tendency to call them demon crash. But if they get control, because that's because they're leading us over the abyss into hell is where they were trying to take us. But if they get control, they will immediately do away with the filibuster. They will immediately start passing stuff with a majority vote. Now, of course, President Trump has said he's gonna be the veto president, so thank God he'd be in there to stop it. But it also means his agenda would not be able to go forward. But, yeah, I don't have any confidence whatsoever in the integrity of our elections. I have confidence in the American people. If we show up, if Christians show up, if conservatives show up in the numbers that I believe we have in this country, it will make it impossible for them to overcome. And I think that's right now where the best assurance lies until we can get the SAVE act passed.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah. Amen. Anything else, Sarah?
Caroline Well, I worked for the post office. I'm retired now, but 37 years. And I have noticed, you know, over the past few years, the post office has removed a lot of their collection boxes. So I know, like I was mentioning PTSD from, 2020, how there was so much error and, you know, falsehood. But, you know, the ballots that go into the post office boxes, there was a lot of tampering and stuff with that. So I was glad that the post office did remove a lot of the, collection boxes so that they mainly have them at the processing plants. So, it's all, And who has that round date, that date that is postmarked? we, like you all say we have to pray for integrity,
Caroline with people that handle the ballots.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, very good. Well, thank you, Sarah. I appreciate that and appreciate you calling in today. we have Paul on the line from Texas. Paul, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Hi. Yes, as far as the, greater. I'm, sorry, the lesser evil, I. When that comes up with anybody, I always say, well, are, you know, they say you're voting for the lesser of two evils. I say, no, I'm a Christian. I'm voting for the greater good. And then if they say, ah, you know, same difference, say, well, you know, your glass is half empty, My glass
Speaker J is half full. That's the way I play it.
Pastor Jeff Schreve That's a good way to put it, Paul. Okay, so we're voting for the greater good. Although one of those goods on the table is bad. Is that not right, Bishop? I look at it this way. I say, okay, you can vote to have Ebola, or you can vote to have a mild case of the flu. which one do you want? Because with Ebola, you have a really good shot at dying.
Bishop EW Jackson Yeah. Look, and in Texas, I think that the choice could not be more stark. I mean, Talarico, he's blasphemed God. He's made clear he's got some kind of weird preoccupation with transgender children. he wants to raise taxes. He wants to establish a state tax in Texas. I mean, this man every. Oh, and of course, he's a big supporter of abortion. Says that the Bible doesn't condemn abortion. The Bible doesn't say anything about abortion. Bible doesn't say anything about homosexuality. I mean, so in his view, basically, God endorses everything he wants. Ken Paxton. Look, I haven't followed Ken Paxton's problems. I know there've been attempts to destroy Ken Paxton, but he's still standing. The man has not been convicted of anything. And we know that he has been a reliable ally of President Donald J. Trump. And as far as I am concerned, it's not even. It's not. The choice isn't even hard. Ken. Ah. Paxton for US Senate. And I hope that he wins overwhelmingly to the shock of these pollsters.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah. Amen. Well, thank you, Paul. I appreciate that. We have Dianne on the line from North Dakota. Dianne, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Yeah, good morning. I love you guys.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Thank you.
Bishop EW Jackson Thank you.
Caroline Okay, my comment is,
Caroline Islam
Caroline is
Caroline not
Caroline protected.
Caroline Well, I. I didn't make
Caroline this
Caroline up. I
Caroline heard
Caroline one of
Caroline our
Caroline congressmen
Caroline or senators
Caroline say
Caroline it, or
Caroline somebody.
Caroline I don't
Caroline remember who
Caroline it was,
Caroline but he said Islam is not protected under the
Caroline freedom of
Caroline religion because Islam
Caroline does not
Caroline believe in the freedom of religion.
Caroline Islam for
Caroline forces one to join
Caroline and will
Caroline kill you if
Caroline you want
Caroline to
Caroline leave. So that's
Caroline not
Caroline freedom
Caroline of religion.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, Bishop, there was a president that's. That, came out on that. I'm trying to remember. I read that just in the last day or two, but basically said, you know, that that's not. If you don't operate in terms of freedom, you don't have freedom of religion. You can't use our Bill of Rights if you're not going to operate, under those. so what would you say to that?
Bishop EW Jackson Well, look, no matter what religious banner people operate under, we do have laws that are not violable. You can't violate the law and say, oh, no, you can't stop me from doing this, because I'm doing this under Religion, for example, you can't beat your wife and say, well, Sharia allows it. You can't kill a child because they fell in love with a non Muslim and say, well, Sharia allows it to. And these are some of the practices. And you can't force somebody to become a, Muslim because Sharia allows it. Well, you know, we give you the choice, either you become a Muslim or die. Which is what they're doing, by the way, in Nigeria and in Sudan and in Mauritania and other places. So yeah, you're right. There are aspects of Islam that have nothing whatsoever to do with religion as we think of it. And those things ought to be outlawed now. Now somebody will say, but I don't do any of those things. I'm not involved in any of those things. I just go to mosque, I just worship. I think the First Amendment is going to protect that kind of activity. But Islam is a whole lot more than that.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah. Bill Federer says, you know, Muhammad was a religious figure, a political figure and a military figure. And Islam has all three of those, legs to it, those foundation stones. And that's why it's different from. People look at it like it's Buddhism or, or some other world religion. It's not. It comes to take over. It doesn't play ball with anybody. It comes in to take over. And that's why it's so dangerous and that's why it's so incompatible with, America and with the Constitution. That is rooted, without question, rooted in biblical principles, Christian principles. So I appreciate that. Can I
Bishop EW Jackson just say this? One of the biggest lies I've ever heard is that Islam is a peaceful religion. Islam has been promoted and promulgated by force from the very beginning. It is a religious, philosophy, perhaps you could argue, based on these books. But its operation is militaristic and that's why it produces, all these terrorist organizations, because that's really what the Quran and the Hadith promote. So anybody who wants to pretend otherwise is lying to themselves. And we as Americans have got to be aware of the threat that true Islam poses to our country.
Pastor Jeff Schreve You know, Bishop, I was just thinking about this. In the Old Testament, ah, outside of Nineveh, repenting in Jonah chapter three, you don't really see a lot of the pagans coming to the Lord. there were some, I mean, you know, Rahab the harlot, obviously she and her family. But there are not a lot of stories about, you know, this whole village came to Christ or came to, to Yahweh and to worship the true God. God's, command to Israel was go in there and drive them out, because you're not going to be able to. You can't have a relationship with them. They will pollute you.
Bishop EW Jackson It is easier to win someone who knows that they do not have God and that they do not have religion, that do not have faith, that they're living in sin, than to try to win someone who thinks they're right. You're wrong. and that you're so wrong that if you don't come around, you should be killed for it. Look, Islam is nothing but an ancient cult following a pagan deity. That's all it is. And, you know, all this respect it's given to me is something Christians shouldn't buy into at all. Now, we don't disrespect human beings. We respect them. But I have to respect what you believe and what you follow. Just because I respect you as a human being. Because I have no respect for Islam whatsoever. None. And I would never vote for a Muslim.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Right. I would agree with that. Well, thank you, Dianne. We have Richard, on the line from Alabama. Richard, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Good morning. Thanks for taking the call.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, sir.
Caroline given that the, Congress, House of Representatives only
Caroline needs to majority, simple majority, to pass a lot of things, and, what if the Republicans got into power again? What would they do? They haven't been doing anything to uphold Trump's agenda.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, good point. So, Bishop, we would give. We say Trump is probably the most consequential president, that we've ever seen getting things done. But he hasn't had a lot of help from the Republican led House or the Republican led Senate.
Bishop EW Jackson Yeah, more from the House, frankly, than from the Senate. And, the Senate's been a problem because, you know, between, you know, we had Cornyn and now we've got Thune. And, you know, sometimes I think these guys are institutionalists who don't understand what's at stake in our country because they're so caught up in their own institutional, bubble. and look, the president, at least if he's got Republicans, he's got somebody he can put some pressure on and work with. But you're right, I think we've got to tell our representatives and our senators, listen, we expect you to work with the president and help fulfill his agenda, not just sit there like a bump on a law, because you've gotten this position now. And, you know, you think you're the institutional preservation Authority? No, you are there to make the changes necessary to make America stronger and better and greater. And, I think we got to convey that message to them.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes. Amen. Well, thank you, Richard. Okay, Bishop, we just have about a minute left. What would be your word of encouragement to Christians, who might be a little nervous about today?
Bishop EW Jackson We are more than conquerors through him that loved us. And, if God be for us, who can be against us? Let's go out and do our duty and understand, no matter what the outcome. And I'm believing God for victory, but no matter what the outcome, we win, and we just pick up and keep fighting.
Pastor Jeff Schreve I love it. All right. We're going to stand, Staying true to America's national destiny. That's, Bishop Jackson's organization, and, they do a great job. So, Bishop, it's always a pleasure to have you, my friend. Appreciate you so much. I appreciate the strong stands you take.
Bishop EW Jackson Thank you, Jeff. It's preachable, brother.
Pastor Jeff Schreve God bless. Well, thanks for listening to Real Truth for today. Pray, all throughout the day, just pray for America. Pray for God to be glorified. Pray for Christians to get, up and let their voice be heard by casting their vote. And to vote wisely, to vote biblically. And we just trust the Lord. We know, as Bishop said, God is still God. The Lord sat as king at the flood. The Lord sits as king forever. We don't need to worry. We don't need to fear. But we do need to pray, and we do need to get involved. So God bless you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. I'll be with you again tomorrow.
