Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, good Monday morning, and welcome to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Most of us, were alerted to the fact of the plane crash yesterday. Just horrific to see that plane coming in like a speeding bullet, just aimed right down at the ground, just disintegrated. All those lives lost, our hearts hurt for those families that have experienced this tremendous tragedy. It's just a reminder. Anytime you see that, it's just a reminder that life is fragile, life can change on a dime. And, we need to be living ready. You know, when things like that happen, when you get in a car accident, boom. It just comes when, something strikes very, very quickly. And it can be totally out of the blue. Now, they knew on the plane, they knew it was going down. But fear, just totally grips your heart at that point. And, you know, the message from that for all of us is you have to be ready. You have to just wake up in the morning knowing, hey, I'm not promised, the rest of this day. Things could happen. And so I want to make sure I'm right with the Lord. And the, Lord could come back. You know, when the Lord comes back, it is instantaneous in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. At the last trump, the twinkling of an eye is the fastest movement of the human body. It's faster than a blink of an eye. It's just that little, that little twinkle. And so we need to, live right and Live in walking in the light with Jesus, knowing that, hey, I could meet him at any moment. And, I want to meet him in confidence and not in shame, as Jon said. Now, little children abide in him so that when he appears, we may have confidence and not shrink back in shame at his coming. Well, I was reading Psalm 11 this morning, a psalm of David. He says this in the lord, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain. For behold, the wicked bend the bow. They make ready their arrow upon the string to shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes behold his eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked. And the one who loves violence, his soul hates. Upon the wicked he will rain snares, fire and brimstone, and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright will behold his face. Now, that's Psalm 11. Three is the key verse in Psalm 11. It's the question, if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Listen, the devil is at work. He is the thief, Jon 10:10, who comes only to steal and kill and destroy. He's a liar and the father of lies. He's a murderer. He hates God. And because he hates God, he hates those. God loves you and me, and he wants to, come at us, to devour us, as Peter says that your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. I said in my sermon yesterday, the devil is the original Terminator. for those of us who remember the original Terminator that came out with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the day. Long time ago. But, back in the day, it was. Boy, it was the movie. I think it came out in, gosh, in the 80s. anyway, in the movie the Terminator, ah, Arnold Schwarzenegger, he plays this machine from the future that is sent back to kill Sarah Connor. And then this guy Reese is sent back to protect Sarah Connor from the Terminator killing Sarah Connor because Sarah Connor was going to have a son, Jon Connor, and Jon Connor was going to be the one who would, dismantle the machines in the future. The story of the Terminator. But there's a line in there that says this where Reese is talking to Sarah Connor and she's freaked out. She doesn't understand anything that's going on. And he said to her about the Terminator. He said, you don't understand. This thing does not feel pity. you can't reason with it, you can't bargain with it. And it will not stop until you're dead. That's the Terminator. And I've always thought of that, little soliloquy that he gives there when they're in the car, as that's exactly, what the devil does. The devil is the original Terminator. He does not stop. He does not go on vacation. He does not take a break. And even when he backed off, Jesus, he was looking for an opportune time to attack. You know, he, he attacked him with the temptations in the wilderness. And the devil left him for another time to come after him. He doesn't ever let up. Now, we are in a situation in America, obviously, as you know, voting day is tomorrow. Many of us have, voted already. I voted on the first day of early voting. And I hope that, if you haven't voted yet. Listen, if you haven't voted yet, you desperately need to vote. It is your Christian duty, to vote and to, to seek the welfare of the city. Now, I just finished a three part series, Religion and Politics. And in the first sermon I talked about Jeremiah 29, specifically verse 7. What were the exiles in Babylon to do? They were to build houses. They were to, marry and marry off their sons and daughters. And they were to flourish and to, be fruitful and multiply in the city of exile that the Lord had sent them. And they were to seek. That's an active, word, not a reactive, but a proactive word. They were to seek the welfare, the shalom of the city to which they were sent. And they were to pray for that city, for its welfare, for its shalom, because in its shalom they would find shalom. I like what Allie Beth Stuckey said, you know, we, as Christians, we must get involved in politics and the political process and in voting. Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar. Caesar is our government, and Caesar wants our vote. Why are all these ads out? They want your vote. And so we need to get involved. And there are many who need to run for political office. you look back at scripture, some of God's choicest saints were in the political realm. Nehemiah, Daniel, Joseph. those are some of the top, of God's servants, the, you know, top of the class, so to speak, in faithfulness. Well, they had political jobs, they were in politics. And so we have to get involved in politics. Why? Because politics and politicians determine policies, and policies affect people. Now, Allie Beth Stuckey said that. And I. I thought, man, that is good. Politics affects policies. Policies affects people. And we as Christians are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor and as ourself, and to seek for the welfare of the city and the welfare of the people who live in the city. When, there is welfare and shalom for the city, everyone benefits. And when you see, the foundations of our country, the foundations of moral law at stake in our country, then you have. You have to stand up and fight. As Nehemiah said in Nehemiah 4, when they were rebuilding the wall, which was, we would consider that more of a political thing, rebuilding the wall so the city could be strong again. the. The enemy said, we're going to come and fight you and kill you, and you're not going to know when it. When it comes. Nehemiah said, when I saw their fear, I told them, remember the Lord, who is great and awesome and fearful. Fight. Fight for your sons and your daughters and your wives and your houses. And we need to do that. Now, we don't. We don't fight in terms of taking up arms and going after people, but we fight as the song says. And when I fight, I fight on my knees with my hands lifted high. Oh, God, the battle belongs to you. And we have to pray. We pray for the welfare of the city, and we have to engage. So my first sermon was on Jeremiah 29. My second sermon was on Romans chapter what is the function of government? Why did God set up government? Government is not set up to help the poor. That is the job of the church. That is the job of individual believers. Government's main job is to. This is how you help the poor and you help everybody. You, maintain law and order. You punish evildoers. You have righteous laws, and you enforce those laws. And that's the main function of government, for the public good. And, then my sermon yesterday, I talked about the need of the hour and the sons of Issachar. What was notable about the sons of Issachar? First Chronicles 12:32. They were men who understood the times with knowledge of what Israel should do. They had discernment. They knew in a political environment. Because the background of First Chronicles chapter 12 is this. Saul is dead. He had been king for 40 years. He was killed in battle as they were fighting the Philistines. He, along with his son Jonathan David, had been anointed king as a young guy, 12 years old or so. First Samuel, chapter 16. He didn't become king until he was 30. And when he was 30 years old, he, was inaugurated as king of Judah. But the 11 tribes still followed the house of Saul. And David sets up his kingdom in Hebron. And, Judah says, you're our king, and he's installed as their king. But there's civil war going on. There's difficulty, political difficulty. What are we going to do? Is Ish Bosheth is Saul's son. He is the king. And, he's got a general named Abner. And Abner was a good general. And Joab, David's general, ends up killing Abner. And then, two men end up killing, Ish Bosheth. And then the people come to David and say, you're God's man. We want you to be king. The sons of Issachar understood that. They understood the political times. They understood the tension. They understood that they were in difficult times, they were in critical times. And this is what needs to be done. David needs to be made king over all Israel. That was the word of the Lord through Samuel, the Prophet. We desperately need men and women in America today, Christians, to have discernment, to be able to understand the times, and to be able to understand what is needed. Now we have an election in front of us, the midterm elections. And, they typically don't go well for the incumbent, just historically, but there's so much at stake. And we have candidates that are, on the left, Democrat candidates who want to fundamentally change our country, especially the combination of a liberal candidate, a socialistic candidate, married to an Islamist. Zoram Mamdani is the Islamist, socialist. that is a, combination that is, poison to the second power. I mean, it is awful, both of those things. Communism destroys lives. Islam destroys lives. When those team up together, they can be a powerful force, and then they take over, and then they fight it out. And as we've seen in recent history, Islam wins, and the Marxists get killed and the people get subjugated and everyone loses. If the, foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Well, the foundations are under attack. So the righteous need to remember the Lord, who is great and awesome and fight, fight for our sons and our daughters and our homes and our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here. And we're talking about, the election tomorrow. Key election. I was listening to a clip, from Ken Ham. I like to listen to Ken Ham. I, like Ken Ham. Hm. Because he stands up for the scripture. He says with, Romans, chapter three, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar. And he was talking about those who don't want, to vote because they don't like the selection that they have the choice. You know, it's a binary choice. either a Democrat or a Republican is going to win. I saw one pastor say, well, you know, it's just fine for you if your convictions are such that you just write in a candidate. Well, I don't see that as being a good option because that write in candidate is not going to win. And so if you are a Christian and you stand for biblical values and you say, I don't like, either one of the guys running or the ladies running, whatever the case may be. So I'm going to just write in a vote that's a throwaway. The other person gains from that because, one of those two is going to win. And not to not vote is to vote. To not decide is to, decide because your conservative voice is going to be, as Josh Howerton, posted, you're going to get the greater of two evils. So he makes the statement, we're always voting for the lesser of two evils because there is none righteous, not even one. And so sometimes it's really the lesser of two evils. Other times you have some godly candidates, men of truth. And as the Bible talks about in the book of Deuteronomy, these are the guys you need to vote for. not people who shun covetousness and those kinds of things. But what if you don't have that? I had a guy tell me we don't. You know, in Texas we have, James Tallarico or Ken Paxton. That's not a good choice. We need better candidates and we need to demand better candidates. okay, I agree with that. But we have what we have. And so the men of Issachar, they understood the times. These are the times. What is the need of the hour to look at those two candidates? If you live in Texas and say, who is going to help, the city? Who is going to bring shalom to the city? if you live in Michigan, you have a choice between Mike, Rogers or Abdul El Said, who is going to help the city? Which one of those two candidates? And this is a good way to figure it. As you look at candidates, which, one of those understands the difference between good and evil? A, little child can't discern between good and evil. I still remember my mom telling the story when my oldest brother Larry was a baby, he was crawling around on the floor and picked up a spider. And it immediately went, he went to put it in his mouth. Well, he doesn't know. And so little children are like that. That's why you have to watch them like a hawk, because they can hurt themselves. not knowing good and evil, not knowing, this is dangerous and this is safe. And so, we need to, be able to discern. And we have people, a bunch of people today. I would maintain that you have a whole party of people who call evil good and good evil. When you call abortion health care. Abortion is not health care. Abortion is the brutal murder by dismemberment of the unborn. That's not health care. That's death care. When you call, you, know, mutilating, a young impressionable child and altering their, their physical state, through drugs and through surgeries. When you call that gender affirming care, you're calling evil good and good evil. Your moral compass is broken. You don't vote for people like that. You don't vote for people that say, yeah, Islam, is great because, we support, freedom of religion. You know, as we have stated numerous times on the program, Islam is not a religion. It has a religion. But Islam is a complete civilization. It's a religion, a culture, a political system, a complete way of life. Totally incompatible with the American way of life. It's totally incompatible with the Bible. It is totally incompatible with the Constitution. It has no place. You should never vote for a candidate who is going to put his hand on a Koran to be sworn in. Now, you may have seen the debate between the Republican, Mike Rogers and the Democrat El Said. Abdul, El Said who, incidentally Obama was campaigning for him. Yeah, we're locking arms with these guys. He was asked this question in the debate.
Abdul El-Sayed Who do you think is a bigger threat to the United States? Israel or Iran? You have 60 seconds.
Tim Goeglein And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's a ridiculous hypothetical.
Abdul El-Sayed I'll ask one last time. Israel or Iran?
Tim Goeglein That's a, again, a ridiculous question. I think both of them have proven dangerous in their own way.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Good grief. That guy, he doesn't know good from evil. You know, Islam calls evil good and good evil. Islam is a horror. it is satanic religion. And we always emphasize this. We are not against Muslims as people. Muslims are the mission field. We are against Islam. Islam is evil. Islam is the devil's religion. The fingerprints of the enemy are all over that religion. That's why it's a religion of death, of brutality, of, subjugation, of enslavement, of sexual, abuse. Awful. And, Mark Levin was on Fox News, and, he went off on El Said just telling the truth and telling the truth about the Democrat Party. You know, we played the clip from Victor Davis Hanson from the Daily Signal, and he said, the Democrat Party is gone. you don't have a Democrat Party anymore. You have this Islamic Socialist Party that is an enemy to everything we hold dear, that is attacking the foundations. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Okay, so, let me play this clip from Nikki Haley, and then we'll get to Mark Levin.
Jeff Chamblee The fact that you have Abdullah Sayed feuding with Haley, Stevens, how do you see it? Because, boy, polls do show that he has a narrow lead. I am shocked that you have Chuck Schumer putting millions going and fighting for El Sayed, who. This is a person who rallied and stood beside someone who said that America deserved 9, 11. He's a socialist. He says he can't
Caroline tell which is more dangerous, Iran or Israel? That is amazing. If that's the direction the Democrat Party is going, then God help us all. And I think that this election is so much bigger than Michigan. This will really tell you that should Democrats win in Congress, that this is who you want to represent you. And so I think this infighting m in the Democrat Party is, is more fascinating. You've got here a pro law enforcement guy in Mike Rogers who's tried to save our country with a guy who clearly has a problem with our country. And so I think that Michigan's got a real decision to make.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, it would be amazing if Michigan says, yeah, we want to go with El Sayed, because that's the direction we want to take our country. We're against law, law and order. We're against Israel. We can't tell who's the bigger threat, Israel or Iran. Iran, the largest, state sponsor of terrorism around the world. And Israel the place where you can go, and I've been there several times, you can go and be safe. they're not trying to blow you up. They're not trying to, attack you and brutalize you. This guy doesn't know the difference. Here is Mark Levin and his comments on this man El Said, and incidentally, the one that he ran against, and he got the Democratic nod. That lady has said, I am voting. She's crossing party lines. I'm a Democrat, but I'm voting for Mike Rogers. And I urge you to do that, too. We can't have this Muslim socialist, in the. Or this Muslim, Abdul El Said in this position. The guy that, you know, cheers. The destruction of America, in terms of his affiliations and things like that. I mean, this is dangerous, dangerous stuff. Well, here's Mark Levin,
Caroline hopefully a big one, because this guy Al Said is the biggest sleazeball to ever run for public office in the history of the United States of America. He is a sleazeball. He is a jihadi. He is a Marxist. He's a phony doctor. The guy is doing everything he can to lie and cover up him and his family's connections. They're the number one terrorist organization in the world, the Muslim Brotherhood. They're tied to care, which is aligned with Hamas. I mean, seriously, this guy couldn't get a security clearance to the Department of Agriculture. And he wants to be a senator. He shouldn't even be able to tour the United States Senate. This guy, let me be clear, is an enemy of the United States. Yes, an enemy of the United States in every respect. The fact that Chuck Schumer gave him $10 million to run, the fact that Barack Obama went there and campaigned for him, the fact that Slotkin went there and campaigned for them, what a disgrace the Democrat Party has become.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, I would agree with that. So you're supporting this? And here's the thing. The way I see it now, I'm a black and white thinker. Why would they do that? Why would Obama do that? Why would Chuck Schumer do that? Those guys, now, Obama, I think, is a closet Muslim, but Chuck Schumer's not. Why would he give them all this money? Because they want to win at all costs. They don't care. They will hook up with the devil if they need to, because power is the end game. And, you, you know, consequences be damned, so to speak, because I have to get in power. And, that's why in Minnesota they, have that big Somali population and they turn a blind eye when all the fraud is going on. Hey, we need this voting bloc to keep things going. Now, I had, failed to mention yesterday in my sermon on, the need of the hour, and the need of the hour is discernment for Christians. But, this idea that when you call evil good and good evil, where you're not able to discern. The Bible says solid food is for the mature who, because of practice, have their senses trained to discern, to judge correctly. Good and evil. Good is kalos in the Greek. Evil is kakos in the Greek. it's just one letter off. And so sometimes, evil can couch itself. And the devil does this, really all the time. He couches it in deceit. He appears as an angel of light. He doesn't come and show you his true colors. He comes and, pretends to be something he is not so that you will go in the direction he wants you to go. And then he has got you. And so here's an example. Nick Sherley. Nick Sherley, who exposed the fraud in Minnesota? Any governor. I mean, you'd be embarrassed if you're the governor because all this fraud is taking place right under your nose. You're either the most, obtuse, oblivious governor in the history of governors, or you're a criminal. But what does he say? He says Nick Sherley is a white supremacist. He goes after Nick Sherley. What does Gavin Newsom say when Nick Sherley comes to California and exposes the fraud? Does he congratulate Nick Sherley for doing that? I mean, if somebody came and showed you in your business, hey, this person is stealing from you. Wouldn't you be glad or would you go after the whistleblower? Well, both Tim Walz and Governor Gavin Newsom went after the whistleblower. California's to the point where they passed a law against Nick Sherley. And, there's no, hey, thanks for helping us out here. Now, President Trump did. He honored Nick Sherley, gave him the, award for the whistleblower award. 10,000 doll. Thank you for your service to America. But that's just an example of how things are so out of whack where not exclusively to the left, but, one, ah, hundred percent on the left, for sure. They call evil good and good evil because they're going to be pro abortion, they're going to be pro transgender, they're going to be pro open border, they're going to be, you know, pro criminals. It's sickening. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Now, I saw this little meme on Facebook this morning, said this. Where you stand politically speaks volumes of where you stand biblically. And the, the liberals and those who call themselves Christians and are voting, for evil, oh, they'll squawk about that. Oh, how can you say that? That is so wrong. And they'll come at you, like you hit a hornet's nest with a baseball bat. that has nothing to do with it. Churches need to quit talking about this stuff. They just need to get back to preaching the gospel. But it's really true, where you stand politically speaks volumes of where you stand biblically. Because if you have a biblical worldview, there is no way in the world you can vote for pro abortion, the murder of the unborn, pro mutilation, the destruction of a young child, pro child grooming and drag queen story hour. There's no way you can vote for, open borders and, no bail and get these guys back out on the street, guys that commit crimes and vote for judges that, take somebody that commits violent crimes and keeps giving them a little slap on the wrist and throwing them back out there. As we saw in the situation in Charlotte where that guy who had been arrested so many times killed that poor Ukrainian girl for no reason, stabbed her in the neck, stabbed her to death. She did nothing except sit next to him, in front of him on the bus. That was her crime. And, these people, these doctors that destroy lives like they've done to Chloe Cole, she's suing those doctors. They ought to have the book thrown at them. They are promoting evil, embracing evil under the banner of good. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here, we're talking about, politics. We're talking about the election, the election tomorrow. If you haven't voted, if you didn't vote in early voting, then Tuesday is your day. And, you desperately need to vote, and you need to vote for biblical values. Ask yourself this question from Exodus 32, the question of Moses, when he went down to the people as they were worshiping the golden calf, who is on the Lord's side? You look at the platform of the Democrats and the platform of the Republicans and say, which one matches up more closely to the Lord's side? Obviously, the Lord is not a Republican and he's not a Democrat. Joshua, chapter five. When Joshua was, checking out Jericho because they were going to fight the battle of Jericho, in Joshua chapter six, he sees a, man there with his sword drawn and he asked the question, are you for us or for our enemies? And the man who is a pre incarnate appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ, the angel of the Lord, he said, no, but indeed I come as captain of the Lord of hosts. Take your shoes off, for the place on which you're standing is holy ground. the Lord comes to take over. But now the question for us as we vote, which. Which party is more closely aligned to the Lord's side? Which candidate here is more closely aligned to the Lord's side? And I want to tell you, all issues are not created equal. If you have a candidate, and you do with the Democrats, I mean, they're, you're not going to have a pro life Democrat candidate. It's just Ain't going to happen. so they're going to be for the, murder of the unborn. They're going to be for the transing of kids and, to, push the lie that you can be a, woman trapped in a man's body or a man trapped in a woman's body. That's a lie. There's no such thing as a transgendered person. They don't exist. You're XY male or XX female, and that's all you are. That's the way God made you. You can fight God on that if you want. And wreck and ruin your life. That's your privilege. I don't know why you would do it. You know, you also can go, stick your hand in the garbage disposal and turn it on and leave it in there. you can do that too. That would be very, very stupid. But you're allowed to be stupid. but listen, we as Christians are called to seek the welfare of the city. And so we're going to say, hey, don't do that. Pull your hand out of the garbage dispos. And, let's work on your, mind here, because you are believing lies. Now, before we go to the phones, 888-589-8840. I wanted to share this. I thought it was interesting. I closed my sermon out with this yesterday. In Nazi Germany in The, early 30s, there was a Jewish man. His name was Max Naumann. And, he started an organization called the association of National German J. Had 7,000 members. They were basically Jews for Hitler. They encouraged people to vote for Hitler. They voted for Hitler in 1933. And then when Hitler wanted to become dictator in 1934, they were all for that. They said, we are Germans first before we are Jews. they had a little slogan, Hitler is right down with us. I mean, that's like the people today that are, so ashamed of being white. you know, we're terrible, horrible people. We're white. You know, that's the way they were. Hitler is right down with us. They did the Nazi salute. They were all for Hitler and encouraged other Jews to be for Hitler. They said, well, Hitler's against the Jews. Oh, that's just what he says. That's just rhetoric, that it's not going to amount to anything. Well, what happened in 1935? Hitler disbanded their organization. He arrested them. He, seized all their assets and he put them in concentration camps. the leader, Max Naumann, he ended up being released, but then died of cancer. In 1939, others in the organization were tortured and killed. Jews for Hitler. That's what their organization was all about. They desperately needed to be like the sons of Issachar to understand the times and what Israel should do. They shouldn't have voted for Hitler. That was death. And all those Protestant pastors, as Rick Metaxas wrote in his book Letter to the American church, all those 12,000 Protestant pastors of the 18,000 who remained silent because they didn't want to rock the boat, who didn't vote in the election, so to speak. Those guys are guilty before God because silence equals consent. They're guilty before God of not standing up and seeking the welfare of the city. You know, they will take it and spend it and take from the rich, create the free, the free and cheaper grocery stores up in NewSong York. They just want votes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, they really do. Do you remember Mark? I think it was when Obama got reelected, Rush, Limbaugh made the statement. He said, you know, it's hard to beat Santa Claus when you're going to give all this stuff away. people's people vote, sadly they vote selfishly. They vote on what's going to benefit me. They don't care about the rest of the country. We have to vote. We seek the welfare of city, not the welfare of me personally. I had attorney friends of mine saying, well, you know, attorneys tend to all vote Democrat because the Democrats are pro, attorneys. And Republicans tend to want to curtail the amount of money they can get and things like that. And so, you know, to vote, to vote for the Democrat helps them, financially. To vote for the Republicans hurt them financially. That was the thinking. And so it's like you can't base your vote on what is best for me personally. It has to be what is best for the masses, what is best for the city, what is best for the country. And that has to determine your vote. But you're exactly right, Mark. It's power at all costs. And you know, if I have to link arms with Satan himself, I'll do it to gain power. It is deadly, it is dangerous. It will bring devastation, to the land. So I appreciate the call. Caroline Pastor Jeff, good morning. your lead story today was about the Learjet.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, sir.
Caroline I am a licensed Learjet pilot. I've flown those things all over the country. That was not an accident. That was intentional. I have seen the footage. I have listened to the audio. If you listen to the female co pilot.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes.
Caroline There was no urgency in her voice originally. And then it went to, we're going straight down. The only way that airplane can go down at that rate of speed is to be pointed at the ground. And intentionally, the. Whoever was piloting the Learjet had to be pointing it at the ground to go down that path. There's absolutely no other way that can happen.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Jim, let me ask you. Okay, so from what I was reading about it, they shouldn't have been flying. It was too icy. She said she was at, I think, minus 47 degrees. If your flaps ice over, then would that put you in that strong, descent coming in like a missile?
Caroline Not at all. Not at all. The, the airplane is completely de. Iced with hot air on the leading edge of the wing. The flaps would not be lowered at that altitude again, unless it was intentional. And you have to listen to the co pilot's voice on the, actual audio. There. There is no stress in her voice whatsoever when she initially contacted atc. Right. And request for hire. Now, that. That's not unusual at all because there is turbulence in the vicinity of thunderstorms, and they were in the vicinity of thunderstorms. So it. It's not unusual to maneuver left, maneuver right, maneuver up, maneuver down. Whatever the flight crew thinks will make a better ride is what they were trying to do. You, go from straight and level and light turbulence. Do we need, you know, a different altitude to going straight down is. Is 99.999% impossible to do unless it's intentional.
Pastor Jeff Schreve M. Now that's horrific.
Caroline Just horrific. She would have. I think if she would have given a little bit more information, she would have said, whoever is flying the airplane has pointed it straight at the ground. That's the only way that can happen.

Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, sir.
Caroline I'm not Rosie, I'm, I'm looking at it, trying to look at it from God's perspective, not from a Patriots perspective. Okay. Mm. I see tomorrow as gotta be really bad for us to repent and for any possible chance of anything good to happen going forward. I think we're in that slow fade and I think that the history that you pronounced with the Holocaust and the early 30s, I think we're already in, we're already, we're not just doomed to repeat it, we're in the process of repeating it right now. Here's what I think is going to happen. I think that what has happened, what will happen tomorrow, will be irreversible because nobody's talking about it for now for some reason. There's only one reason to go vote tomorrow that I can see, and that is if you don't vote for the right choice, then all of the two party systems gonna be gone. Because if both parties get in the, in there, it's gonna be. There's gonna be two states added. One's not really a state. You gonna have Puerto rico and Washington D.C. you're gonna be added. You're gonna have court packing, you're gonna have the filibuster, totally done away with it. All the courage that you didn't see on the part of the of the Republicans in charge. It doesn't take courage for the, for the Democrats to do it because they are amoral. They proved they are immoral when they took God out of the platform in 2012. Well, guess what the Republicans did in 2024. They took pro life out of the platform. You think God is pleased with the way this has gone in the last two years? I don't think it's going to be pretty tomorrow. I don't think it's going to be pretty afterwards. And I think it's going to be a matter of the country is going to be in a totally different place after the first 250 years.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, that, that could very well be Scott. I appreciate you calling in with that. You know, you read in Jeremiah, Jeremiah told the people, hey, this is what's coming from the Lord. He's not delivering you from Nebuchadnezzar. destruction is coming, and you can, you can fight the Lord on that. You can look to Egypt to bail you out, but, it's going to be disastrous. And, so we're eventually going to get to that place, whether that is, tomorrow or, down the road. But we know that, you know, America does not survive. The world is a sinking ship, as you've heard me say before. And there is salvation in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven that is has been given among men by which we must be saved, except the name of Jesus. And so when we see all these things, Adrian Rogers used to say, when you see all these things taking place, as the Bible says, lift up your. Your heads and look for your redemption is drawing nigh. And don't say, oh, no, what is the world coming to? You say, it's. Look, it's getting gloriously dark. Our Savior is on the way. And, the coming of The Lord, James 5, 8 is near. And so, hey, we win regardless. As believers in Jesus now, we need to do all we can to stave off the judgment of God, and so that people can be saved. So we have more and more time to share the gospel with people. But we know the wrath of God is coming because we have sinned against Him. Him. And in righteousness he judges and wages war. Well, I appreciate the calls from others. I'm sorry I didn't get to them. Linda, I'm sorry I didn't get to you. thank you so much for calling. And Linda, especially, I thank you for always being such a blessing and for listening and for, being such an encouragement to me. And, listen, go out and, vote tomorrow. Vote if you have not voted, vote, for biblical values. Vote for, the candidates that are going to uphold the foundations. Because if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Well, the righteous can still shine and share. And that's what I want to encourage you to do in your life today. Shine for Christ. Share what great things the Lord has done for you. Jeff Chamblee Welcome to Real Truth for Today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve, senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Now, here's Pastor Jeff.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, good Monday morning, and welcome to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Most of us, were alerted to the fact of the plane crash yesterday. Just horrific to see that plane coming in like a speeding bullet, just aimed right down at the ground, just disintegrated. All those lives lost, our hearts hurt for those families that have experienced this tremendous tragedy. It's just a reminder. Anytime you see that, it's just a reminder that life is fragile, life can change on a dime. And, we need to be living ready. You know, when things like that happen, when you get in a car accident, boom. It just comes when, something strikes very, very quickly. And it can be totally out of the blue. Now, they knew on the plane, they knew it was going down. But fear, just totally grips your heart at that point. And, you know, the message from that for all of us is you have to be ready. You have to just wake up in the morning knowing, hey, I'm not promised, the rest of this day. Things could happen. And so I want to make sure I'm right with the Lord. And the, Lord could come back. You know, when the Lord comes back, it is instantaneous in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. At the last trump, the twinkling of an eye is the fastest movement of the human body. It's faster than a blink of an eye. It's just that little, that little twinkle. And so we need to, live right and Live in walking in the light with Jesus, knowing that, hey, I could meet him at any moment. And, I want to meet him in confidence and not in shame, as Jon said. Now, little children abide in him so that when he appears, we may have confidence and not shrink back in shame at his coming. Well, I was reading Psalm 11 this morning, a psalm of David. He says this in the lord, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, flee as a bird to your mountain. For behold, the wicked bend the bow. They make ready their arrow upon the string to shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? The Lord is in his holy temple. The Lord's throne is in heaven. His eyes behold his eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked. And the one who loves violence, his soul hates. Upon the wicked he will rain snares, fire and brimstone, and burning wind will be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright will behold his face. Now, that's Psalm 11. Three is the key verse in Psalm 11. It's the question, if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Listen, the devil is at work. He is the thief, Jon 10:10, who comes only to steal and kill and destroy. He's a liar and the father of lies. He's a murderer. He hates God. And because he hates God, he hates those. God loves you and me, and he wants to, come at us, to devour us, as Peter says that your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. I said in my sermon yesterday, the devil is the original Terminator. for those of us who remember the original Terminator that came out with Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the day. Long time ago. But, back in the day, it was. Boy, it was the movie. I think it came out in, gosh, in the 80s. anyway, in the movie the Terminator, ah, Arnold Schwarzenegger, he plays this machine from the future that is sent back to kill Sarah Connor. And then this guy Reese is sent back to protect Sarah Connor from the Terminator killing Sarah Connor because Sarah Connor was going to have a son, Jon Connor, and Jon Connor was going to be the one who would, dismantle the machines in the future. The story of the Terminator. But there's a line in there that says this where Reese is talking to Sarah Connor and she's freaked out. She doesn't understand anything that's going on. And he said to her about the Terminator. He said, you don't understand. This thing does not feel pity. you can't reason with it, you can't bargain with it. And it will not stop until you're dead. That's the Terminator. And I've always thought of that, little soliloquy that he gives there when they're in the car, as that's exactly, what the devil does. The devil is the original Terminator. He does not stop. He does not go on vacation. He does not take a break. And even when he backed off, Jesus, he was looking for an opportune time to attack. You know, he, he attacked him with the temptations in the wilderness. And the devil left him for another time to come after him. He doesn't ever let up. Now, we are in a situation in America, obviously, as you know, voting day is tomorrow. Many of us have, voted already. I voted on the first day of early voting. And I hope that, if you haven't voted yet. Listen, if you haven't voted yet, you desperately need to vote. It is your Christian duty, to vote and to, to seek the welfare of the city. Now, I just finished a three part series, Religion and Politics. And in the first sermon I talked about Jeremiah 29, specifically verse 7. What were the exiles in Babylon to do? They were to build houses. They were to, marry and marry off their sons and daughters. And they were to flourish and to, be fruitful and multiply in the city of exile that the Lord had sent them. And they were to seek. That's an active, word, not a reactive, but a proactive word. They were to seek the welfare, the shalom of the city to which they were sent. And they were to pray for that city, for its welfare, for its shalom, because in its shalom they would find shalom. I like what Allie Beth Stuckey said, you know, we, as Christians, we must get involved in politics and the political process and in voting. Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar. Caesar is our government, and Caesar wants our vote. Why are all these ads out? They want your vote. And so we need to get involved. And there are many who need to run for political office. you look back at scripture, some of God's choicest saints were in the political realm. Nehemiah, Daniel, Joseph. those are some of the top, of God's servants, the, you know, top of the class, so to speak, in faithfulness. Well, they had political jobs, they were in politics. And so we have to get involved in politics. Why? Because politics and politicians determine policies, and policies affect people. Now, Allie Beth Stuckey said that. And I. I thought, man, that is good. Politics affects policies. Policies affects people. And we as Christians are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor and as ourself, and to seek for the welfare of the city and the welfare of the people who live in the city. When, there is welfare and shalom for the city, everyone benefits. And when you see, the foundations of our country, the foundations of moral law at stake in our country, then you have. You have to stand up and fight. As Nehemiah said in Nehemiah 4, when they were rebuilding the wall, which was, we would consider that more of a political thing, rebuilding the wall so the city could be strong again. the. The enemy said, we're going to come and fight you and kill you, and you're not going to know when it. When it comes. Nehemiah said, when I saw their fear, I told them, remember the Lord, who is great and awesome and fearful. Fight. Fight for your sons and your daughters and your wives and your houses. And we need to do that. Now, we don't. We don't fight in terms of taking up arms and going after people, but we fight as the song says. And when I fight, I fight on my knees with my hands lifted high. Oh, God, the battle belongs to you. And we have to pray. We pray for the welfare of the city, and we have to engage. So my first sermon was on Jeremiah 29. My second sermon was on Romans chapter what is the function of government? Why did God set up government? Government is not set up to help the poor. That is the job of the church. That is the job of individual believers. Government's main job is to. This is how you help the poor and you help everybody. You, maintain law and order. You punish evildoers. You have righteous laws, and you enforce those laws. And that's the main function of government, for the public good. And, then my sermon yesterday, I talked about the need of the hour and the sons of Issachar. What was notable about the sons of Issachar? First Chronicles 12:32. They were men who understood the times with knowledge of what Israel should do. They had discernment. They knew in a political environment. Because the background of First Chronicles chapter 12 is this. Saul is dead. He had been king for 40 years. He was killed in battle as they were fighting the Philistines. He, along with his son Jonathan David, had been anointed king as a young guy, 12 years old or so. First Samuel, chapter 16. He didn't become king until he was 30. And when he was 30 years old, he, was inaugurated as king of Judah. But the 11 tribes still followed the house of Saul. And David sets up his kingdom in Hebron. And, Judah says, you're our king, and he's installed as their king. But there's civil war going on. There's difficulty, political difficulty. What are we going to do? Is Ish Bosheth is Saul's son. He is the king. And, he's got a general named Abner. And Abner was a good general. And Joab, David's general, ends up killing Abner. And then, two men end up killing, Ish Bosheth. And then the people come to David and say, you're God's man. We want you to be king. The sons of Issachar understood that. They understood the political times. They understood the tension. They understood that they were in difficult times, they were in critical times. And this is what needs to be done. David needs to be made king over all Israel. That was the word of the Lord through Samuel, the Prophet. We desperately need men and women in America today, Christians, to have discernment, to be able to understand the times, and to be able to understand what is needed. Now we have an election in front of us, the midterm elections. And, they typically don't go well for the incumbent, just historically, but there's so much at stake. And we have candidates that are, on the left, Democrat candidates who want to fundamentally change our country, especially the combination of a liberal candidate, a socialistic candidate, married to an Islamist. Zoram Mamdani is the Islamist, socialist. that is a, combination that is, poison to the second power. I mean, it is awful, both of those things. Communism destroys lives. Islam destroys lives. When those team up together, they can be a powerful force, and then they take over, and then they fight it out. And as we've seen in recent history, Islam wins, and the Marxists get killed and the people get subjugated and everyone loses. If the, foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Well, the foundations are under attack. So the righteous need to remember the Lord, who is great and awesome and fight, fight for our sons and our daughters and our homes and our grandchildren and our great grandchildren. Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here. And we're talking about, the election tomorrow. Key election. I was listening to a clip, from Ken Ham. I like to listen to Ken Ham. I, like Ken Ham. Hm. Because he stands up for the scripture. He says with, Romans, chapter three, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar. And he was talking about those who don't want, to vote because they don't like the selection that they have the choice. You know, it's a binary choice. either a Democrat or a Republican is going to win. I saw one pastor say, well, you know, it's just fine for you if your convictions are such that you just write in a candidate. Well, I don't see that as being a good option because that write in candidate is not going to win. And so if you are a Christian and you stand for biblical values and you say, I don't like, either one of the guys running or the ladies running, whatever the case may be. So I'm going to just write in a vote that's a throwaway. The other person gains from that because, one of those two is going to win. And not to not vote is to vote. To not decide is to, decide because your conservative voice is going to be, as Josh Howerton, posted, you're going to get the greater of two evils. So he makes the statement, we're always voting for the lesser of two evils because there is none righteous, not even one. And so sometimes it's really the lesser of two evils. Other times you have some godly candidates, men of truth. And as the Bible talks about in the book of Deuteronomy, these are the guys you need to vote for. not people who shun covetousness and those kinds of things. But what if you don't have that? I had a guy tell me we don't. You know, in Texas we have, James Tallarico or Ken Paxton. That's not a good choice. We need better candidates and we need to demand better candidates. okay, I agree with that. But we have what we have. And so the men of Issachar, they understood the times. These are the times. What is the need of the hour to look at those two candidates? If you live in Texas and say, who is going to help, the city? Who is going to bring shalom to the city? if you live in Michigan, you have a choice between Mike, Rogers or Abdul El Said, who is going to help the city? Which one of those two candidates? And this is a good way to figure it. As you look at candidates, which, one of those understands the difference between good and evil? A, little child can't discern between good and evil. I still remember my mom telling the story when my oldest brother Larry was a baby, he was crawling around on the floor and picked up a spider. And it immediately went, he went to put it in his mouth. Well, he doesn't know. And so little children are like that. That's why you have to watch them like a hawk, because they can hurt themselves. not knowing good and evil, not knowing, this is dangerous and this is safe. And so, we need to, be able to discern. And we have people, a bunch of people today. I would maintain that you have a whole party of people who call evil good and good evil. When you call abortion health care. Abortion is not health care. Abortion is the brutal murder by dismemberment of the unborn. That's not health care. That's death care. When you call, you, know, mutilating, a young impressionable child and altering their, their physical state, through drugs and through surgeries. When you call that gender affirming care, you're calling evil good and good evil. Your moral compass is broken. You don't vote for people like that. You don't vote for people that say, yeah, Islam, is great because, we support, freedom of religion. You know, as we have stated numerous times on the program, Islam is not a religion. It has a religion. But Islam is a complete civilization. It's a religion, a culture, a political system, a complete way of life. Totally incompatible with the American way of life. It's totally incompatible with the Bible. It is totally incompatible with the Constitution. It has no place. You should never vote for a candidate who is going to put his hand on a Koran to be sworn in. Now, you may have seen the debate between the Republican, Mike Rogers and the Democrat El Said. Abdul, El Said who, incidentally Obama was campaigning for him. Yeah, we're locking arms with these guys. He was asked this question in the debate.
Abdul El-Sayed Who do you think is a bigger threat to the United States? Israel or Iran? You have 60 seconds.
Tim Goeglein And again, Rick, I'm just going to say that that's a ridiculous hypothetical.
Abdul El-Sayed I'll ask one last time. Israel or Iran?
Tim Goeglein That's a, again, a ridiculous question. I think both of them have proven dangerous in their own way.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Good grief. That guy, he doesn't know good from evil. You know, Islam calls evil good and good evil. Islam is a horror. it is satanic religion. And we always emphasize this. We are not against Muslims as people. Muslims are the mission field. We are against Islam. Islam is evil. Islam is the devil's religion. The fingerprints of the enemy are all over that religion. That's why it's a religion of death, of brutality, of, subjugation, of enslavement, of sexual, abuse. Awful. And, Mark Levin was on Fox News, and, he went off on El Said just telling the truth and telling the truth about the Democrat Party. You know, we played the clip from Victor Davis Hanson from the Daily Signal, and he said, the Democrat Party is gone. you don't have a Democrat Party anymore. You have this Islamic Socialist Party that is an enemy to everything we hold dear, that is attacking the foundations. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Okay, so, let me play this clip from Nikki Haley, and then we'll get to Mark Levin.
Jeff Chamblee The fact that you have Abdullah Sayed feuding with Haley, Stevens, how do you see it? Because, boy, polls do show that he has a narrow lead. I am shocked that you have Chuck Schumer putting millions going and fighting for El Sayed, who. This is a person who rallied and stood beside someone who said that America deserved 9, 11. He's a socialist. He says he can't
Caroline tell which is more dangerous, Iran or Israel? That is amazing. If that's the direction the Democrat Party is going, then God help us all. And I think that this election is so much bigger than Michigan. This will really tell you that should Democrats win in Congress, that this is who you want to represent you. And so I think this infighting m in the Democrat Party is, is more fascinating. You've got here a pro law enforcement guy in Mike Rogers who's tried to save our country with a guy who clearly has a problem with our country. And so I think that Michigan's got a real decision to make.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, it would be amazing if Michigan says, yeah, we want to go with El Sayed, because that's the direction we want to take our country. We're against law, law and order. We're against Israel. We can't tell who's the bigger threat, Israel or Iran. Iran, the largest, state sponsor of terrorism around the world. And Israel the place where you can go, and I've been there several times, you can go and be safe. they're not trying to blow you up. They're not trying to, attack you and brutalize you. This guy doesn't know the difference. Here is Mark Levin and his comments on this man El Said, and incidentally, the one that he ran against, and he got the Democratic nod. That lady has said, I am voting. She's crossing party lines. I'm a Democrat, but I'm voting for Mike Rogers. And I urge you to do that, too. We can't have this Muslim socialist, in the. Or this Muslim, Abdul El Said in this position. The guy that, you know, cheers. The destruction of America, in terms of his affiliations and things like that. I mean, this is dangerous, dangerous stuff. Well, here's Mark Levin,
Caroline hopefully a big one, because this guy Al Said is the biggest sleazeball to ever run for public office in the history of the United States of America. He is a sleazeball. He is a jihadi. He is a Marxist. He's a phony doctor. The guy is doing everything he can to lie and cover up him and his family's connections. They're the number one terrorist organization in the world, the Muslim Brotherhood. They're tied to care, which is aligned with Hamas. I mean, seriously, this guy couldn't get a security clearance to the Department of Agriculture. And he wants to be a senator. He shouldn't even be able to tour the United States Senate. This guy, let me be clear, is an enemy of the United States. Yes, an enemy of the United States in every respect. The fact that Chuck Schumer gave him $10 million to run, the fact that Barack Obama went there and campaigned for him, the fact that Slotkin went there and campaigned for them, what a disgrace the Democrat Party has become.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, I would agree with that. So you're supporting this? And here's the thing. The way I see it now, I'm a black and white thinker. Why would they do that? Why would Obama do that? Why would Chuck Schumer do that? Those guys, now, Obama, I think, is a closet Muslim, but Chuck Schumer's not. Why would he give them all this money? Because they want to win at all costs. They don't care. They will hook up with the devil if they need to, because power is the end game. And, you, you know, consequences be damned, so to speak, because I have to get in power. And, that's why in Minnesota they, have that big Somali population and they turn a blind eye when all the fraud is going on. Hey, we need this voting bloc to keep things going. Now, I had, failed to mention yesterday in my sermon on, the need of the hour, and the need of the hour is discernment for Christians. But, this idea that when you call evil good and good evil, where you're not able to discern. The Bible says solid food is for the mature who, because of practice, have their senses trained to discern, to judge correctly. Good and evil. Good is kalos in the Greek. Evil is kakos in the Greek. it's just one letter off. And so sometimes, evil can couch itself. And the devil does this, really all the time. He couches it in deceit. He appears as an angel of light. He doesn't come and show you his true colors. He comes and, pretends to be something he is not so that you will go in the direction he wants you to go. And then he has got you. And so here's an example. Nick Sherley. Nick Sherley, who exposed the fraud in Minnesota? Any governor. I mean, you'd be embarrassed if you're the governor because all this fraud is taking place right under your nose. You're either the most, obtuse, oblivious governor in the history of governors, or you're a criminal. But what does he say? He says Nick Sherley is a white supremacist. He goes after Nick Sherley. What does Gavin Newsom say when Nick Sherley comes to California and exposes the fraud? Does he congratulate Nick Sherley for doing that? I mean, if somebody came and showed you in your business, hey, this person is stealing from you. Wouldn't you be glad or would you go after the whistleblower? Well, both Tim Walz and Governor Gavin Newsom went after the whistleblower. California's to the point where they passed a law against Nick Sherley. And, there's no, hey, thanks for helping us out here. Now, President Trump did. He honored Nick Sherley, gave him the, award for the whistleblower award. 10,000 doll. Thank you for your service to America. But that's just an example of how things are so out of whack where not exclusively to the left, but, one, ah, hundred percent on the left, for sure. They call evil good and good evil because they're going to be pro abortion, they're going to be pro transgender, they're going to be pro open border, they're going to be, you know, pro criminals. It's sickening. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Now, I saw this little meme on Facebook this morning, said this. Where you stand politically speaks volumes of where you stand biblically. And the, the liberals and those who call themselves Christians and are voting, for evil, oh, they'll squawk about that. Oh, how can you say that? That is so wrong. And they'll come at you, like you hit a hornet's nest with a baseball bat. that has nothing to do with it. Churches need to quit talking about this stuff. They just need to get back to preaching the gospel. But it's really true, where you stand politically speaks volumes of where you stand biblically. Because if you have a biblical worldview, there is no way in the world you can vote for pro abortion, the murder of the unborn, pro mutilation, the destruction of a young child, pro child grooming and drag queen story hour. There's no way you can vote for, open borders and, no bail and get these guys back out on the street, guys that commit crimes and vote for judges that, take somebody that commits violent crimes and keeps giving them a little slap on the wrist and throwing them back out there. As we saw in the situation in Charlotte where that guy who had been arrested so many times killed that poor Ukrainian girl for no reason, stabbed her in the neck, stabbed her to death. She did nothing except sit next to him, in front of him on the bus. That was her crime. And, these people, these doctors that destroy lives like they've done to Chloe Cole, she's suing those doctors. They ought to have the book thrown at them. They are promoting evil, embracing evil under the banner of good. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil. Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here, we're talking about, politics. We're talking about the election, the election tomorrow. If you haven't voted, if you didn't vote in early voting, then Tuesday is your day. And, you desperately need to vote, and you need to vote for biblical values. Ask yourself this question from Exodus 32, the question of Moses, when he went down to the people as they were worshiping the golden calf, who is on the Lord's side? You look at the platform of the Democrats and the platform of the Republicans and say, which one matches up more closely to the Lord's side? Obviously, the Lord is not a Republican and he's not a Democrat. Joshua, chapter five. When Joshua was, checking out Jericho because they were going to fight the battle of Jericho, in Joshua chapter six, he sees a, man there with his sword drawn and he asked the question, are you for us or for our enemies? And the man who is a pre incarnate appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ, the angel of the Lord, he said, no, but indeed I come as captain of the Lord of hosts. Take your shoes off, for the place on which you're standing is holy ground. the Lord comes to take over. But now the question for us as we vote, which. Which party is more closely aligned to the Lord's side? Which candidate here is more closely aligned to the Lord's side? And I want to tell you, all issues are not created equal. If you have a candidate, and you do with the Democrats, I mean, they're, you're not going to have a pro life Democrat candidate. It's just Ain't going to happen. so they're going to be for the, murder of the unborn. They're going to be for the transing of kids and, to, push the lie that you can be a, woman trapped in a man's body or a man trapped in a woman's body. That's a lie. There's no such thing as a transgendered person. They don't exist. You're XY male or XX female, and that's all you are. That's the way God made you. You can fight God on that if you want. And wreck and ruin your life. That's your privilege. I don't know why you would do it. You know, you also can go, stick your hand in the garbage disposal and turn it on and leave it in there. you can do that too. That would be very, very stupid. But you're allowed to be stupid. but listen, we as Christians are called to seek the welfare of the city. And so we're going to say, hey, don't do that. Pull your hand out of the garbage dispos. And, let's work on your, mind here, because you are believing lies. Now, before we go to the phones, 888-589-8840. I wanted to share this. I thought it was interesting. I closed my sermon out with this yesterday. In Nazi Germany in The, early 30s, there was a Jewish man. His name was Max Naumann. And, he started an organization called the association of National German J. Had 7,000 members. They were basically Jews for Hitler. They encouraged people to vote for Hitler. They voted for Hitler in 1933. And then when Hitler wanted to become dictator in 1934, they were all for that. They said, we are Germans first before we are Jews. they had a little slogan, Hitler is right down with us. I mean, that's like the people today that are, so ashamed of being white. you know, we're terrible, horrible people. We're white. You know, that's the way they were. Hitler is right down with us. They did the Nazi salute. They were all for Hitler and encouraged other Jews to be for Hitler. They said, well, Hitler's against the Jews. Oh, that's just what he says. That's just rhetoric, that it's not going to amount to anything. Well, what happened in 1935? Hitler disbanded their organization. He arrested them. He, seized all their assets and he put them in concentration camps. the leader, Max Naumann, he ended up being released, but then died of cancer. In 1939, others in the organization were tortured and killed. Jews for Hitler. That's what their organization was all about. They desperately needed to be like the sons of Issachar to understand the times and what Israel should do. They shouldn't have voted for Hitler. That was death. And all those Protestant pastors, as Rick Metaxas wrote in his book Letter to the American church, all those 12,000 Protestant pastors of the 18,000 who remained silent because they didn't want to rock the boat, who didn't vote in the election, so to speak. Those guys are guilty before God because silence equals consent. They're guilty before God of not standing up and seeking the welfare of the city. Caroline Yeah, I was just, just calling in to say, you know, that the Democrats are just all about power and they're so generous with other people's money. You know, they will take it and spend it and take from the rich, create the free, the free and cheaper grocery stores up in NewSong York. They just want votes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, they really do. Do you remember Mark? I think it was when Obama got reelected, Rush, Limbaugh made the statement. He said, you know, it's hard to beat Santa Claus when you're going to give all this stuff away. people's people vote, sadly they vote selfishly. They vote on what's going to benefit me. They don't care about the rest of the country. We have to vote. We seek the welfare of city, not the welfare of me personally. I had attorney friends of mine saying, well, you know, attorneys tend to all vote Democrat because the Democrats are pro, attorneys. And Republicans tend to want to curtail the amount of money they can get and things like that. And so, you know, to vote, to vote for the Democrat helps them, financially. To vote for the Republicans hurt them financially. That was the thinking. And so it's like you can't base your vote on what is best for me personally. It has to be what is best for the masses, what is best for the city, what is best for the country. And that has to determine your vote. But you're exactly right, Mark. It's power at all costs. And you know, if I have to link arms with Satan himself, I'll do it to gain power. It is deadly, it is dangerous. It will bring devastation, to the land. So I appreciate the call. Caroline Pastor Jeff, good morning. your lead story today was about the Learjet.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, sir.
Caroline I am a licensed Learjet pilot. I've flown those things all over the country. That was not an accident. That was intentional. I have seen the footage. I have listened to the audio. If you listen to the female co pilot.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes.
Caroline There was no urgency in her voice originally. And then it went to, we're going straight down. The only way that airplane can go down at that rate of speed is to be pointed at the ground. And intentionally, the. Whoever was piloting the Learjet had to be pointing it at the ground to go down that path. There's absolutely no other way that can happen.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Jim, let me ask you. Okay, so from what I was reading about it, they shouldn't have been flying. It was too icy. She said she was at, I think, minus 47 degrees. If your flaps ice over, then would that put you in that strong, descent coming in like a missile?
Caroline Not at all. Not at all. The, the airplane is completely de. Iced with hot air on the leading edge of the wing. The flaps would not be lowered at that altitude again, unless it was intentional. And you have to listen to the co pilot's voice on the, actual audio. There. There is no stress in her voice whatsoever when she initially contacted atc. Right. And request for hire. Now, that. That's not unusual at all because there is turbulence in the vicinity of thunderstorms, and they were in the vicinity of thunderstorms. So it. It's not unusual to maneuver left, maneuver right, maneuver up, maneuver down. Whatever the flight crew thinks will make a better ride is what they were trying to do. You, go from straight and level and light turbulence. Do we need, you know, a different altitude to going straight down is. Is 99.999% impossible to do unless it's intentional.
Pastor Jeff Schreve M. Now that's horrific.
Caroline Just horrific. She would have. I think if she would have given a little bit more information, she would have said, whoever is flying the airplane has pointed it straight at the ground. That's the only way that can happen.

Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes, sir.
Caroline I'm not Rosie, I'm, I'm looking at it, trying to look at it from God's perspective, not from a Patriots perspective. Okay. Mm. I see tomorrow as gotta be really bad for us to repent and for any possible chance of anything good to happen going forward. I think we're in that slow fade and I think that the history that you pronounced with the Holocaust and the early 30s, I think we're already in, we're already, we're not just doomed to repeat it, we're in the process of repeating it right now. Here's what I think is going to happen. I think that what has happened, what will happen tomorrow, will be irreversible because nobody's talking about it for now for some reason. There's only one reason to go vote tomorrow that I can see, and that is if you don't vote for the right choice, then all of the two party systems gonna be gone. Because if both parties get in the, in there, it's gonna be. There's gonna be two states added. One's not really a state. You gonna have Puerto rico and Washington D.C. you're gonna be added. You're gonna have court packing, you're gonna have the filibuster, totally done away with it. All the courage that you didn't see on the part of the of the Republicans in charge. It doesn't take courage for the, for the Democrats to do it because they are amoral. They proved they are immoral when they took God out of the platform in 2012. Well, guess what the Republicans did in 2024. They took pro life out of the platform. You think God is pleased with the way this has gone in the last two years? I don't think it's going to be pretty tomorrow. I don't think it's going to be pretty afterwards. And I think it's going to be a matter of the country is going to be in a totally different place after the first 250 years.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, that, that could very well be Scott. I appreciate you calling in with that. You know, you read in Jeremiah, Jeremiah told the people, hey, this is what's coming from the Lord. He's not delivering you from Nebuchadnezzar. destruction is coming, and you can, you can fight the Lord on that. You can look to Egypt to bail you out, but, it's going to be disastrous. And, so we're eventually going to get to that place, whether that is, tomorrow or, down the road. But we know that, you know, America does not survive. The world is a sinking ship, as you've heard me say before. And there is salvation in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven that is has been given among men by which we must be saved, except the name of Jesus. And so when we see all these things, Adrian Rogers used to say, when you see all these things taking place, as the Bible says, lift up your. Your heads and look for your redemption is drawing nigh. And don't say, oh, no, what is the world coming to? You say, it's. Look, it's getting gloriously dark. Our Savior is on the way. And, the coming of The Lord, James 5, 8 is near. And so, hey, we win regardless. As believers in Jesus now, we need to do all we can to stave off the judgment of God, and so that people can be saved. So we have more and more time to share the gospel with people. But we know the wrath of God is coming because we have sinned against Him. Him. And in righteousness he judges and wages war. Well, I appreciate the calls from others. I'm sorry I didn't get to them. Linda, I'm sorry I didn't get to you. thank you so much for calling. And Linda, especially, I thank you for always being such a blessing and for listening and for, being such an encouragement to me. And, listen, go out and, vote tomorrow. Vote if you have not voted, vote, for biblical values. Vote for, the candidates that are going to uphold the foundations. Because if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Well, the righteous can still shine and share. And that's what I want to encourage you to do in your life today. Shine for Christ. Share what great things the Lord has done for you.
