Mhm. It's uh, important for pastors to keep their family the • • priority.
Okay, so Krish, I remember when we interviewed you, that was one of the things you said, said, • • • • uh, you had to learn that because you had a tendency to pour yourself into the church • • and then there's not a lot left over. • • Mhm. And • • so • • • • how did you get. I think
the key is to bring your family along so your family is a part of the ministry with you • and they don't see, oh, uh, Daddy's going to church again. You know, Daddy's going to work again. And they begin to resent the church.
But it's, you know, we're all going, you know, we're all going to this event together and it's something that they love, look forward to. They love coming to church, they love being at church and we do fun things, but they love being here and it's like an extended family for them. They have people that love, love them and care for them. • And so, uh, just kind of making church a part of your life together. • • • •
Well, the four of you were sitting, you and your two, • • your wife Rochelle and your two girls were at the concert last night, uh, for • • • • Tuesday night for David Crowder. • • • And, uh, I'm assuming the girls had a great time.
Yeah, they love that kind of thing, so they look forward to that. And then Wednesday night, we had the fall festival. So, um, they love getting together and doing these great events. And then they • love our children's ministry workers and our • • student ministry workers, so other people in their life pouring into them besides just • the parents.
Yeah. • • Um, one of the things I mentioned to some of the guys on our staff that have trouble with boundaries, • • I said, hey, write in your planner • • family time. And then when someone asks you to do something, you can look in the planner and say, oh, I'm already scheduled. Then you don't have to tell them it's,
I have a very important appointment.
Yes. And it's an important appointment. • • I can't break that, because that way you can protect that time. And your wife will really appreciate that and your kids will appreciate that. • • Uh, so Dad's not always gone. • •
Well, thank you. Thanks for listening today to Real Truth for today. And, Krish, thank you for being my guest. As we talked about the great book awakened by the life story of Chuck Swindoll, I encourage you to check it out. I think it will be a tremendous blessing in your life. Hey, go out today, Shine for Christ. Share what great things the Lord has done for you. And know this, God will use you as his witness. God bless you. • • • • • •
