Bishop EW Jackson: Welcome to Real Truth for Today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Now, here's Pastor Jeff.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, good Friday morning. Welcome to Real Truth for Today. Hope you're having a great morning. This the start of Labor Day weekend. It's always exciting to have that extra day. And I love having Monday off because Monday tends to be a difficult day for lots of people as you got to get back into the work week. And so we get a little break, many of us not having to work this Monday. Well, I want to, read to you from Second Chronicles, chapter 36. It talks about the downfall of Judah as a nation. And it says this beginning in verse 15, the Lord Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. But they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, until there was no remedy. And God sent in Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians, and they captured the city, burned the temple with fire, burned down the city, broke down the wall, and it was terrible. And if you want to know how terrible it was, just read the book of Lamentations. And Jeremiah gives the A to Z, so to speak, the Alphabet of the, lament of the prophet. And the people as they saw their city in ruins. And, well, why did that happen? It happened because they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets. Well, I have with me today one of my good friends, Bishop E.W. jackson. And, I love E.W. for a number of reasons, but one of the things that comes to my mind when I think of him is boldness. Now, E.W. jackson is a pastor, he's an author, he's a keynote speaker, and he's the founder and president of STAN Staying True to America's National Destiny. EW appreciate you coming on, my friend.
Bishop EW Jackson: Pastor Jeff. It's always a pleasure, always an honor. Thanks for inviting me.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, I know that you love America and I, love America, but, ew, it seems like we're going in the same direction that Judah went in so many years ago when they mocked the messengers of God and despised the word of God and the will of God and the ways of God. We want to go our own way, and, we're walking into wrath just as they did. And just as God abandoned his people, as far as letting the nation be destroyed, that could happen to us as well.
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, it's interesting, I was just reflecting a little earlier on what I call the three legged stool of the hunger for power. And right now that three legged stool seems to be based on racial obsession, sexual deviancy. And President Trump and I thought about the analogy, thought about, you know, the wicked kings as, as Judah and Israel were falling, the wicked kings, they, they, they polluted the temple with all kinds of sexual, just abominable stuff, you know, doing sex before idols. They vilified the prophet of God. I'm not calling President Trump a prophet, but the prophet represented God's righteousness, God's agenda. They hated that. They didn't want him involved in that. And of course they got into a class thing where, you know, royalty ran the show and everybody else was, in effect, their slaves. So, I mean, these sort of the equivalent things were happening in Israel that we see happening today. And what we have to hope is just as God gave them a chance over and over and over again to come back to him, that America will ultimately turn back to God.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, Bishop, we can see in the background there your newest book, Sweet Land of Liberty. and I appreciate you writing that. And you write it, you give your own story in that book along with other information. But, you know, we're taught, if you watch mainstream television and some of the pundits and the people on CNN and stuff like that, we're taught that, you know, America has been horrible to black people and there's no opportunity for black people. And capitalism is racist, and everything is racist, really, under the Marxist, ideology and the WOKE ideology. So how is it that you, a black man, could love America?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, there's a very simple one word answer, Truth. Truth. Because look, Jeff, when you look at human history, you know, you look at the context into which America is birthed, and you realize, for example, that the Muslims had enslaved 10 million black Africans before Europeans even thought about the idea that the Barbary pirates had enslaved a million Europeans before the transatlantic slave trade ever began. And then you realize that slavery existed on every continent.
Caroline: Continent.
Bishop EW Jackson: In every country, among every tribe in the world. Then you realize, rather than vilifying America because we inherited that legacy, we should be lauding America for the fact that we're among the first to say there's something inherently and morally wrong about that, and we led the way in advancing human dignity and human flourishing. Did you know, for example, the African country of Mauritania? Do you know when they outlaw slavery? 2007.
Caroline: Wow.
Bishop EW Jackson: So, I mean, you know, people don't know, don't realize when you are born an American, you. You have. I hate to use the analogy, but I do like it, but you have hit the proverbial lottery.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: You.
Bishop EW Jackson: You are blessed beyond measure, and you are the envy of people around the world. And we ought to be approaching that with gratitude rather than with grievance.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, so, Bishop, you're talking about that country in Africa. So that's just black people enslaving black people, correct?
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, that's exactly what it is. And by the way, there's no tradition in Africa, except maybe where you've got a Christian leader, of declaring slavery to be immoral. And there's no tradition in Islam that really started the black African slave trade. They started enslaving sub Saharan Africans. They came up with a word, abed, that means both African and slave. So they really pioneered this notion that black Africans make good slaves. It wasn't the Europeans who did that. It was other Africans that did that and Middle Easterners that did that. So, yeah, I mean, let's just deal with the reality. If you want to start talking about reparations, as far as I'm concerned, we ought to be talking about what we owe America for the fact that we enjoy the most prosperous, the most wealthy, and, the greatest opportunities anywhere in the world. And so, as far as I'm concerned about, my country doesn't owe me anything other than the preservation of my rights, which, God gave me. I owe my country a great deal for the blessings that I've received through this nation.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, so, Bishop, if you went on the View and you shared that sentiment, you're going to get attacked by all these white ladies that are, what, in their 60s and 70s and even 80s? I think Joy Behar is in her 80s, is she not? Or close to it? they would just come at you as you, the slurs you hear all the time. You're a sellout. You're an Uncle Thom. You're this. You're that you're the other, How do you deal with that?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, whenever that comes, I ask people. This whole Uncle Thom deal comes up, I ask people, hey, boy, have you ever read Uncle Thom's Cabin? Because if you actually read it, you'd find out that Uncle Thom was far from being any kind of sycophant or lackey. He was a hero who protected two female slaves that had escaped, would not give them up, but allowed himself to be abused by Simon Legree. Because he cared more about Simon Legree's soul than he did about stopping Simon Legree from beating him. So he was thinking, about eternity for Simon Legree, because he told people, he said, I'm going to heaven. I want to try to make sure that he does as well. So he was a man of love. I think that's why they resent him so much. So many leftists resent him so much because he looked beyond the flesh, which is exactly what God calls us to do, and sees the light of eternity in each human being and wants the very best for each human being, even those who might be our enemies.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, Bishop, over the years, I, would imagine. I don't know if this is true, but I would imagine that you've had some instances where people have treated you different because of the color of your skin. So how have you not allowed that to get you back?
Caroline: Bitter?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, look, I'm a child of the 60s, and, I don't know about bitterness per se because of the way I was raised. I was given an optimistic viewpoint about what my life could be, but I certainly was imbued with some of those resentments. And it followed me into Christianity until the Lord really rebuked me rather sternly very early on in my ministry and said, you know, you've been imbibing things from the world. That's not me. That's not of the Spirit. And I had to repent. And God showed me a, Second Corinthians 5:16, which says, henceforth, no we no one according to the flesh. Even though we once knew Christ according to the flesh, now we know him thus no longer. So if anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation. And I began to realize, man, this is a trick of the devil separating, ourselves from people because of the complexion of their skin, which is about as superficial as it gets, right? So, yeah, I've been attacked for my views. But, you know, I have to tell you, Pastor Jeff, I don't care. I really don't, because I Love God. I know God is pleased with what I'm doing and the way I stand. He loves everybody. He doesn't make any distinctions. I said, I tell people sometimes I say, you know, if you really think that way, I don't know how you're going to fit in in heaven, you know, because there's not going to be any ghettos, there'll be any racial conclaves in heaven. Everybody's going to be one family in Christ Jesus. So I am happy with standing up for what I know to be true.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Well, I've been thinking a lot about this. Ew. You know, we're called as Christians to be salt and light. Charlie Kirk, who was murdered for his faith and for his engaging people with the truth. Men love the darkness rather than the light, for their deeds are evil. And Paul said, ah, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? Well, obviously Charlie Kirk did. but as far as salt and light goes, when you think about, if you put on the scoreboard, how is the church doing versus the world? And the whole world lies in the power of the evil. 1:1 Jon 5:19. And, you know, we're not to be conformed to this world. It seems to me that the church is conforming to the world much more than the world is impacting or that the church is impacting the world. for Christ, it seems like the opposite is going on. And I believe it's in large part because so many pastors and preachers are not standing up and just saying, hey, thus says the Lord. And, this is the way it is. And we make it very black and white, and we make it very clear. We seem to want to tiptoe around and not say anything too harshly. And I think, one of the reasons I consider you a kindred spirit is you're not like that. You're very straightforward, and people need to have straightforward truths.
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, this is such convoluted thinking. If you really love people, don't you want them to know the truth? Don't you want them to be confronted with it unequivocally? Because it's the best chance you have of making them realize that their souls are in, are in eternal danger. And so, you know, one of my favorite passages is Proverbs 28:4. And it says, those who forsake the law, praise the wicked, but such as keep the law, contend with them. You know, we have a responsibility to contend with the wicked and contend with wickedness. We don't do it out of hatred. We do it out of love. Love for God and love for people. and so you're right. I hear this a lot, you know. Well, we have to remember to speak the truth in love, because I don't care. You could. You could put it ice cream and whipped cream and cherry on the top and chocolate sprinkles. It doesn't matter how you say it. People who are committed to, the lie are going to hate you for telling them the truth. But maybe that lie will take root and ultimately bear fruit unto eternal life. And I'm willing to take that risk of people hating me. I say I'd rather you hate me on Earth and then see me in heaven and say, brother, hug my neck and tell me, thank you so much for confronting me. I didn't want it, but you did it. And as a result, here I am. Yes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Okay, Bishop, I was thinking about staying true to America's national destiny. The quote from Jon Adams, one of our founding fathers, the second President of the United States, rings in my ears a lot. You know, he said, our Constitution was, constructed in such a way for a moral and religious people. It is utterly incapable of governing any other. Now, that's not a direct quote, but that's basically what he said. Well, we don't have a moral and religious people anymore, so our Constitution is really struggling. I know we're up against a break, but I want you to chew on that a little bit, and let's discuss that when we come back from the break. You're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schreve: Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff. Here I'm talking to my friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And Bishop Jackson is on American Family Radio every week with the Awakening. And, he hosted the Awakening every day at noon until the Lord really laid on his heart to run for the presidency of the United States of America. And, because of Bishop Jackson's stands, the mainstream media and the machine that has set up our political machine here in the United States, it's really hard to break in. but I appreciate the fact that you did that, Bishop, because you felt like that's what the Lord wanted you to do. And your job is to obey. And even if that cost you, because, that did cost you some things. But, I want to get back to, that issue. The Jon Adams quote about the Constitution was framed and designed for a moral and religious people. It's wholly inadequate for the governance of any other. as we think about that and as we see America today, how does the Constitution. You pull out your crystal ball moving forward because you love America as I do. But how do we keep going with the way we are structured?
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, we have got to. And of course, I mean, not just you and me, but our audience and, every American who understands the gift we've been given. We have got to be bold proclaimers of truth. And not everybody will have the platform that you or I have. But they can talk to their family members. They can explain to their family members the things that they hear from us. Because my understanding of America is based on a biblical worldview. It is not based, on politics. It's Republican, it's Democrat. No, it's based upon a biblical worldview. When our founding fathers said that, our rights and our liberties come from God, in that great statement in the Declaration of Independence, I've said many times that was not just a political or legal statement. That was a spiritual and moral statement about the nature of the country they felt they were establishing. A country who understood that rights and liberty come from God. Well, if that's true, then the government is accountable to God for the protection of our rights and liberties. And we as individuals are accountable to God for the stewardship of those rights and liberties. And what a wonderful culture that sets up. and I think the Constitution really does reflect that. The preamble says it. It's written to secure the blessings of liberty. But I think we've got to stand up for every. I cringe every time I hear some leftists and even some republic. Our democracy. We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. And there is a significant difference.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. Bishop, I heard a quote. I'm trying to remember who said it, but they were quoting from Jon Adams and they used that quote about a moral and religious people. And they said, they made this statement. They said, whose job was it and is it to keep America a, moral and religious people? It's not the job of the government, it's the job of the church. It's the job of pastors. And he said, why are we no longer a moral and religious people? It's because pastors have dropped the ball. They haven't taught. As we were talking at the break, a job of a pastor is to teach the people the word of God and what is right and what is wrong. And so as we think about, the, the continuance of America and the land of sweet land of liberty, that we want to pass down to our children and grandch, if pastors don't start taking seriously this is our job, we're in serious trouble. Because who else is going to do it? Lots, of pastors were putting their faith in. Tucker Carlsen, that proved to be a disaster. Shawn Hannity, any of those guys that we say, well, this guy's going to carry the torch. God's given us as preachers of the word of God, the mantle of you teach the people. And if we're not doing that, it's not going to happen.
Bishop EW Jackson: Amen. That same Jon Adams you just quoted, about a moral and religious people is the Jon Adams who said, during the Revolutionary War, leading up to it, pulpits thundered with the cause of freedom. And I'm convinced that had it not been for that, we would not have become independent. We would not have become an independent nation. God used the pulpits of our country. Pastors who understood that they were responsible for the stewardship of liberty just as much as a George Washington was. And every, you're right, every pastor should take that seriously and realize we are just as responsible as Donald Trump is because God is not looking to the secular world. He is looking to the body of Christ to be the salt and light that our country needs. And if we don't do it, you're right, who's going to? Because the world doesn't even know it, let alone, I mean, how can they do it when they don't even know what to do? You know, Isaiah 62 says you that make mention of the Lord. Do not keep silent and give him no rest until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. And I say the same thing for our country. We should just not keep silent and just give prayer. No rest until America is made a praise in the earth.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Bishop, I want to play you a clip from Jon Fetterman, the senator, from Pennsylvania. He has been, a tremendous surprise to me. Somebody said, hey, I'd take Jon Fetterman over Jon Thune any day of the week. but this is what he had to say about the Democrat, his own party.
Bishop EW Jackson: Today we are electing some of these the worst people in the political spectrum. And I've been the one guy to say, like, look, have your own party. You can run on the crazy stuff about abolishing all of the things that you're showing on your screen. It's indefensible. And they're often living in very expensive homes and they come from a very wealthy backgrounds too. It's absolutely a scam. We should divorce us from them and I'll run as real Democrats the way we've always been.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So, Bishop, we have the Democrat Party being taken over by the socialists. And you got the young people that think this is so niche and cool and hey, let's get on this bandwagon, not realizing what this is going to do. They're very short sighted on this, in my opinion. So how do you think guys, like Jon Fetterman play in the Democrat Party? Because it seems to me like they would like to silence him, starting this morning.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, like you, I am pleasantly surprised by Jon Fetterman. You know, it brings a smile to my face when I hear it because I'm thinking, I thought he was a radical leftist too. But you know, the sad reality is, Jeff, he's a party of one at this point. The Democrat party is gone. As far as I am concerned, the Democrat party is a socialist party. No matter how much the so called establishment people protest to the contrary. Because look, they have been pushing socialism for a long time. Look at how they behave with COVID I mean, that tells you what kind of party it really is. But the problem is the cover's being pulled off, and they don't want that. You know, it's almost like, okay, okay, but don't tell everybody yet. We're not ready yet. I think we have got to see that party, for all practical purposes, completely decimated and let something else rise from it. of maybe some center left people who believe that government can be helpful in some ways, but don't believe in this totalitarian vision that aoc. And I mean, think about this. The two leading Democrats for president are aoc, who just rejoined the Socialist Party, and Pete Buttigieg, an active homosexual.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Mm m. Yeah. And then where do you throw Gavin Newsom in there?
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, I mean, he's way down the line. I mean, he may think he's gonna be the next president, but right now, at least the polling doesn't even show him in the running. But so think about. And of course. And he's just as bad as they are. Even though I say he's much better at saying nothing and convincing you that he said something. But, those two are the ones that everybody at this point is gravitating to.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Do you think, come 2028, Kamala Harris will still be in the mix?
Bishop EW Jackson: I don't think so. I think she's done too. She just doesn't realize it. Look, every time she talks, she gets further from the presidency because it's just clear that the woman is incapable of stringing together two words in a cogent way. I mean, I don't. Well, I won't say what I'm really thinking, but I'll tell you what. She did not earn her way by intellectual prowess to where she got.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes, yes. we can leave that at right.
Bishop EW Jackson: Exactly.
Caroline: Okay.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So I was thinking about this bishop, just this week. I can't think of one moral issue that shows up in politics. Really? I can't think of anything that the Democrats stand for today that I would say. Yeah, ah, that's good. You're on the right side. Not one issue. Can you think of one issue that you would say from a biblical standpoint? you guys are in the right, and, the people, the conservatives are in the wrong.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, if you talk to James Talarico, he would say that we Bible believing Christians are all wrong. and he hates Christianity, but he's right and he is a Christian. I mean. Yeah, look, I say everything the Democrat party stands for, God, is against everything they stand against God is for. So they are really the party that is in. In rank rebellion against almighty God. It's really just that simple. and it's really because God is their power. I mean, power is their God. Now. They don't want the God of the Bible. They want power. And so God has no place in their lives. He has a party place in their party. Remember, former, chairman of the Judiciary Committee said when, I think it was, Representative Roy Chip Roy, who said, read a scripture about homosexuality and transgenderism, maybe it was about transgenderism. And, and the chairman of the Judiciary Committee says this, the House. There is no room for. For God on the. On the floor of the House of Representatives or something to that effect. I mean, so. So, I mean, that's. That's where they are. Amen. Wherever we talk, we talk about praying for people. And they said, we don't need your prayers. We need action. Yeah, they're gone.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah. Okay. So as we think about the state of the world and how we are very. I believe we're marching as fast as we can to judgment, the way we're living and abortion and transgenderism and mutilating kids and transing kids and all the things that, are being done in schools today.
Caroline: We.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: We see the Lindsay Clancy case. They can't decide. This woman who brutally strangles her three children. You, know if she's insane? I. My personal feeling, Bishop, is that the demonic is at work in any of those kind of instances. But, she's guilty now. Guilty by reason of insanity. Okay. You're going to be locked up in some kind of institution for the rest of your life, but you never get out. And it's not a hard thing to determine this. She is guilty. They're talking now. Hung jury and how, you know, we're with Lindsay, and all this stuff. It seems like the ladies that are pro abortion jump on the Lindsey Clancy bandwagon. How do you view this case?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, the first insight. I really believe God spoke this to me because I hadn't thought about it. If she had killed those children before they were born, they would put her on a pedestal and applaud her. She would be a hero. she killed them after they were born. So it now presents a legal conundrum. And, you're right. This is deeply demonic. You ever notice you never hear about crazy people, psychotic people, roaming around the streets, doing nice things for others that are sacrificial, that, you know, that are just so extraordinarily nice, that you just go wow. Why is it always that it has to do with killing and harming and hurting? Because you're right. This is. This stuff. I'm not saying there's not a mental element to this, but this is spiritual, and this is demonic. look, I think she's got to be held accountable. No matter what, excuses they make for. She's got to be held accountable. But here's the thing. In our law, if. If a person can be proved not to have understood that the. The moral wrongness of their actions when they did it, technically we don't hold those count people accountable because we say they had. They had the. They lacked the requisite mens rea. Forgive me for putting on my lawyer hat here. They lacked the requisite mens rea. But you're right. There's so much evidence that would suggest that on some level, she knew that what she was doing was wrong. So it's going to be interesting to see how. How it all plays out. I think there's going to be a hung jury ultimately, and I think that, there's going to probably be some accommodation reached, because you're right. The culture's gotten so. Look, we've killed so many unborn babies that I think we. Many people have become numb to the killing of children, and it's easy to make excuses for a person like this.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So if we, you know, it's not a leap from abortion now, abortion at the point of delivery, as they just passed in Massachusetts, it's not too far a leap to say, well, we need to go into the nursing homes and these older people that don't have a quality of life, we need to just end their lives. how far away from that do you think we are, Bishop?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, we're doing it. I mean, Oregon already has a right to death law. and I think there's one other state. I don't know whether it's Washington state, but there's another state that does as well. I mean, there are jurisdictions where this is already happening, where you can say that you no longer want to continue with your life, and the medical community is responsible for giving you what you need to kill yourself. so let alone a person that you look at and say, well, this person. Quality of life is no longer worth it. Let's just get rid of them. look, it's all a slippery slope, isn't it? I say, once you open the door and you violate God's standard for morality, well, you can't then just say, okay, but we're Only going to go so far with this because sin never gets enough.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: That's very good. Yeah. And so I don't think in those areas though, Bishop, they're not allowing somebody else to determine that. Right. It's the person determining that for themselves.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, that's right. But you know, then you get a medical professional involved and you get psychologists involved and, and you know, it becomes a little murky who's actually making the decision.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, that's for sure. Well, you're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here with my good friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And we're talking about kind of, of going to couch this under the title America is too young to die because we want to see America flourish. We want to be able to pass the baton of freedom to our children, our grandchildren, our great grandchildren. And we're always one generation away, from seeing that go away. Pastor Jeff Schreve: Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here talking to my good friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And we've been talking about, our country and what are we going to do? What is the future going to look like? Unless Jesus said, unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. And God has given us examples in scripture. And Israel crumbled, in 722 BC the Northern Kingdomnomics, because they embraced idolatry and rejected the Lord. Judah crumbled in 586 BC because they did the same thing. They didn't learn the lesson from their sister, to the north. And we are going to experience the same thing if we continue to rebel against God. Because God is patient, but his patience doesn't last forever. Bishop, we have the words from Daniel Mini Mene Tekel Upharsin, weighed in the balance and found wanting. And if we go in the same way they went and Belshazzar went, we're going to find ourselves in the same position, and we don't want that. Bishop EW Jackson: Amen.
Caroline: I just. I got. I know you're talking about socialism. Yesterday, I got a sticker on my truck says socialism. You make it, they take it. You know, and I've been. I've been flipped off for at least eight years now every day. And for some reason, my guns ain't jumped up out of their holster and shot nobody. But, I wonder, y' all was talking about Charlie Kirk earlier, and I was watching a Charlie Kurt video, last night, and it was Charlie Kurt and Dr. Ben Carson. And, it was called Should Christians be political? And Dr. Ben Carson made a statement saying, unless Jesus on the ballot, nobody's ever gonna be perfect. So you gotta vote your values. So, I mean, everybody's gonna have flaws. So. And he went into the abortion on. They don't give these babies no anesthesia. You know, they just put the prongs in there, and they start ripping their arms off and the legs off. And, you know, it's just. It's a sick world we live in. But God bless y'. All. And I, encourage everybody to go watch that video before election. You know, vote your values.

Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, absolutely. Look, first of all, I'm glad that his guns have not jumped up out of his holster, because that's not the answer.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Right.
Bishop EW Jackson: Just make that very clear. But, you know, the word of God says In Isaiah, chapter 1, verse 9, it says, unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom. We would have been made like Gomorrah. And what I tell Christians is we are the best hope our country has, which is why we have to be engaged, because I really believe that God will preserve America even if the majority have gone utterly crazy. He will preserve our country if a remnant is willing to stand up. And we've got to be that remnant.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Very good. Well, we have, our friend Linda on the line from Texas. Linda, welcome to the program.
Caroline: Thank you. I'm just amending what you're just saying. Oh, my goodness. and just, what I told her, as soon as this program started, this hit me, about shepherds, pastors, back in the Revolutionary War, pastors were in that pulpit, and they took their, garbs off their robes, whatever, and they left to go join the military. And it was like, you talk about a vision of the church, the pastors being involved. That's all I wanted to share. I thought, oh, my goodness gracious. You know, and so.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, amen to that. Bishop. That was the black. Was that the black robe regiment?
Bishop EW Jackson: That was the black robe regiment. She's, I think, probably referring specifically to Jon Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, who gave that famous sermon out of Ecclesiastes 3. And then at the conclusion to everything, There's a Season, a time for war and a time for peace, then took off his clerical, robe, and underneath it was a militia uniform and led 300 men into the Revolutionary War, became an adjunct to George Washington and so forth. So, yeah, I mean, look, you're absolutely right. We've got to get on the spiritual battlefield now. We have to load up our weapons and go take to the streets, but we got to get on the spiritual battlefield, so that God can use us to accomplish his plans and purposes for America. The name of our organization, Staying True to America's National Destiny. Because I really believe that when God put it in the hearts of our founding fathers, he had a plan for America, and it's up to us as Christians to see to it that is fulfilled.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Well, thanks, Linda. I appreciate that. We have, Ray on the line from Ohio. Ray, welcome to the program.
Caroline: Hi. I heard some Republicans say that if Jesus came here without the right paperwork, they put him in a cage with the other illegals. And I was wondering what you think about that.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, it's just. Yeah, that's something.
Bishop EW Jackson: I don't know what Republican would say that. Well, first of all, that's absurd, because Jesus, when he comes, is not going to need any paperwork.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, he has the title deed to the universe.
Bishop EW Jackson: Exactly. He's the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I don't think there's going to be. Listen, he's going to be asking other people for their paperwork, so to speak.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. And you know, Bishop, we talk about walls and things like that. I mean, it is interesting. As you read In Revelation, the last two chapter, there are walls around heaven. the new Jerusalem has walls and it has gates. And, he says nobody's going to enter there. That doesn't, you know, no outsider, the dogs and the sorcerers and the evil people. And none of those people are going to be able to enter the kingdom of heaven, only those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, I think. I think it's Ezekiel. It's in the book of ezekiel. I think it's 22, where it says, I look for a man to stand in the gap and build up a wall. And I said, what is that wall? That's a wall between right and wrong, a wall between good and evil. God expected the children of Israel to build a wall between themselves and the pagans around them. I often thought of President Trump when I would read that text, because he was the first president to say, we need to build a wall on our southern border. And people went crazy. Oh, that's racist. That's terrible. But actually, it's really quite biblical.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. Amen to that. Okay. We have Roy on the line from Mississippi. Roy, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Hey, Brother Jeff, Brother Jackson, I love you guys. I believe that both of you are highly anointed of God to speak the truth. And I pray his protection over each and every one of you.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Thank you.
Caroline: My question, My question is, with all this is going on, especially in America, around the world, the rise of this and the rise of that, and blatant blasphemy of God's word by people like James Puellarico, you think maybe we are witnessing what the Lord referred to as the great falling away?
Bishop EW Jackson: Bishop, what was that last place?
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, ah, he's second Thessalonians 2 about the falling away, the apostasy.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, yeah, you know, there are people who interpret that as the great catching away. but I will say this. I think the closer we get to the great tribulation, the closer we get to the rapture. For those of us who believe in the Rapture, I think the worst things are going to get, and I think they're going to sort of build to a crescendo that concludes with that. So, Yes, I think 75%, according to George Barnard, 75% of the people, people who are in churches who call themselves Christians, do not believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God. So I think we're definitely there. We're experiencing that great falling away. Yes, Bishop?
Pastor Jeff Schreve: I think you and I have talked about this before, but Darrell, Harrison is a friend of mine, a, pastor in, Arizona. He was on Jon, MacArthur's Grace to youo Staff. And he makes the statement. He's a black guy. He makes the statement that so many of the black churches, they don't preach the gospel. They're more like Obama's church. They, you know, get people riled up and things like that. you as a. As a black pastor, how do you see that? Because you're definitely in the minority.
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, it's heartbreaking to me because, they have been matriculated into this Black Liberation theology. they have been placed in a situation where their constituents seem to them to demand that they be m. More racial than biblical. and so racial issues are put above Jesus and above biblical principle in many of these churches. Now, not all, of course, but I think that's right. I think the majority. That's the way they roll. and it's really going to take a great awakening in this country. Of course, not only if 75% of the churches in America are going apostate. shouldn't surprise us that many of these churches, with Americans of African ancestry have done the same thing. But we got to pray for an awakening in our country where the church, first of all, comes back to the word of God as the ultimate authority over all matters of faith and practice, rather than race or the Democrat Party or Republican Party or anything else.
Caroline: Yeah.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen. Well, we have Linda on the line from Missouri. Linda, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Good morning, you guys. I listen to you every morning. I'm telling you, it's a routine that I cannot break. And I used to listen w. And I totally agree with 99 point of what you're saying, but I just have a little bit of a beef against Fetterman. I agree with what he says and, you know, he said, but I think he's tooting his horn. And. Because once he denounces abortion and denounces homosexuality, he can be on my ticket. Otherwise, he's just honking his horn. That's all he's doing, Mr. M. Jeff. And, well, I get a kick out of you and Debbie.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Thank you on that. Well, we. He's the lone Democrat now. What? And I'm not saying that he's, a conservative by any stretch of the imagination, but he hasn't lost his mind as far as the Democrats go.
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, that's my view, too. Look, I'm not prepared to vote for him if he were to run for president, I certainly wouldn't be looking to him as the next leader of our country. Right, but you're right. He at least shows some willingness to be ground. I mean, like his defense of Israel, for example. I mean, his whole party has become anti Israel, including some of the Jewish representatives, and he stood for Israel. So. So there are some good things in what he said. And. And, we can. We can take some solace in that, that maybe all is not lost. Yes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Very good. Okay. We have Lisa on the line from Arkansas. Lisa, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Hey, Jeff. Good morning. Good morning, Bishop.
Bishop EW Jackson: Good morning.
Caroline: I don't know if you remember when we were all in Houston in 2001, when Andrea Yates, killed her children in the bath. She drowned. All five.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah.
Caroline: You know, she. It was five. Yeah. And she did it one right after the other, all in the same bath water. And, you know, she exhibited signs of schizophrenia, psychosis, all these things for years leading up to this. And so she was insane, and she. She, you know, completely tested off the charts for insanity. But when you compare that to this case of Lindsey Clancy, she was doing everything normally. She was able to think and process and call her husband and give him a list and.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Right.
Caroline: It's just. It's kind of crazy because that was 25 years ago. So this is how far we've come. nobody came to Andrea Yates defense. Everybody was like, she killed her kids. She needs to go to jail. And now you've got all these people supporting Lindsay Clancy, saying, oh, this poor thing, you know, she had psychosis or whatever. And it's just stunning how far we've come in 25 years. And then you've got the guy that stabbed Irina, I think, how you say her name, you know, and he could not notice trial because they said he wasn't fit to stand trial. So I. I don't know how you square that. I don't know how people square those things.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, that's a good point. So, Bishop, we've traveled, a long way in the wrong direction in the last 25 years.
Bishop EW Jackson: We certainly have. And we have learned to justify any kind of behavior at all. But let's face it, that's what happens when you reject God's standards. Then what becomes the new standard? Well, you just kind of make it up as you go along, and if you like the person or you like what they've done or you like what they stand for, anything is acceptable. Anything they've done is justifiable. and, you know, people who like abortion? Who? People who think that they're defenders of women think. Well, you know, we understand. So. You're right. Look, I think this is where we as Christians can make all the difference in the world because we can continue to hold up a godly standard that does not change no matter what the circumstances are. And that's what our society needs.

Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, good Friday morning. Welcome to Real Truth for Today. Hope you're having a great morning. This the start of Labor Day weekend. It's always exciting to have that extra day. And I love having Monday off because Monday tends to be a difficult day for lots of people as you got to get back into the work week. And so we get a little break, many of us not having to work this Monday. Well, I want to, read to you from Second Chronicles, chapter 36. It talks about the downfall of Judah as a nation. And it says this beginning in verse 15, the Lord Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. But they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, until there was no remedy. And God sent in Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians, and they captured the city, burned the temple with fire, burned down the city, broke down the wall, and it was terrible. And if you want to know how terrible it was, just read the book of Lamentations. And Jeremiah gives the A to Z, so to speak, the Alphabet of the, lament of the prophet. And the people as they saw their city in ruins. And, well, why did that happen? It happened because they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets. Well, I have with me today one of my good friends, Bishop E.W. jackson. And, I love E.W. for a number of reasons, but one of the things that comes to my mind when I think of him is boldness. Now, E.W. jackson is a pastor, he's an author, he's a keynote speaker, and he's the founder and president of STAN Staying True to America's National Destiny. EW appreciate you coming on, my friend.
Bishop EW Jackson: Pastor Jeff. It's always a pleasure, always an honor. Thanks for inviting me.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, I know that you love America and I, love America, but, ew, it seems like we're going in the same direction that Judah went in so many years ago when they mocked the messengers of God and despised the word of God and the will of God and the ways of God. We want to go our own way, and, we're walking into wrath just as they did. And just as God abandoned his people, as far as letting the nation be destroyed, that could happen to us as well.
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, it's interesting, I was just reflecting a little earlier on what I call the three legged stool of the hunger for power. And right now that three legged stool seems to be based on racial obsession, sexual deviancy. And President Trump and I thought about the analogy, thought about, you know, the wicked kings as, as Judah and Israel were falling, the wicked kings, they, they, they polluted the temple with all kinds of sexual, just abominable stuff, you know, doing sex before idols. They vilified the prophet of God. I'm not calling President Trump a prophet, but the prophet represented God's righteousness, God's agenda. They hated that. They didn't want him involved in that. And of course they got into a class thing where, you know, royalty ran the show and everybody else was, in effect, their slaves. So, I mean, these sort of the equivalent things were happening in Israel that we see happening today. And what we have to hope is just as God gave them a chance over and over and over again to come back to him, that America will ultimately turn back to God.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, Bishop, we can see in the background there your newest book, Sweet Land of Liberty. and I appreciate you writing that. And you write it, you give your own story in that book along with other information. But, you know, we're taught, if you watch mainstream television and some of the pundits and the people on CNN and stuff like that, we're taught that, you know, America has been horrible to black people and there's no opportunity for black people. And capitalism is racist, and everything is racist, really, under the Marxist, ideology and the WOKE ideology. So how is it that you, a black man, could love America?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, there's a very simple one word answer, Truth. Truth. Because look, Jeff, when you look at human history, you know, you look at the context into which America is birthed, and you realize, for example, that the Muslims had enslaved 10 million black Africans before Europeans even thought about the idea that the Barbary pirates had enslaved a million Europeans before the transatlantic slave trade ever began. And then you realize that slavery existed on every continent.
Caroline: Continent.
Bishop EW Jackson: In every country, among every tribe in the world. Then you realize, rather than vilifying America because we inherited that legacy, we should be lauding America for the fact that we're among the first to say there's something inherently and morally wrong about that, and we led the way in advancing human dignity and human flourishing. Did you know, for example, the African country of Mauritania? Do you know when they outlaw slavery? 2007.
Caroline: Wow.
Bishop EW Jackson: So, I mean, you know, people don't know, don't realize when you are born an American, you. You have. I hate to use the analogy, but I do like it, but you have hit the proverbial lottery.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: You.
Bishop EW Jackson: You are blessed beyond measure, and you are the envy of people around the world. And we ought to be approaching that with gratitude rather than with grievance.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, so, Bishop, you're talking about that country in Africa. So that's just black people enslaving black people, correct?
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, that's exactly what it is. And by the way, there's no tradition in Africa, except maybe where you've got a Christian leader, of declaring slavery to be immoral. And there's no tradition in Islam that really started the black African slave trade. They started enslaving sub Saharan Africans. They came up with a word, abed, that means both African and slave. So they really pioneered this notion that black Africans make good slaves. It wasn't the Europeans who did that. It was other Africans that did that and Middle Easterners that did that. So, yeah, I mean, let's just deal with the reality. If you want to start talking about reparations, as far as I'm concerned, we ought to be talking about what we owe America for the fact that we enjoy the most prosperous, the most wealthy, and, the greatest opportunities anywhere in the world. And so, as far as I'm concerned about, my country doesn't owe me anything other than the preservation of my rights, which, God gave me. I owe my country a great deal for the blessings that I've received through this nation.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, so, Bishop, if you went on the View and you shared that sentiment, you're going to get attacked by all these white ladies that are, what, in their 60s and 70s and even 80s? I think Joy Behar is in her 80s, is she not? Or close to it? they would just come at you as you, the slurs you hear all the time. You're a sellout. You're an Uncle Thom. You're this. You're that you're the other, How do you deal with that?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, whenever that comes, I ask people. This whole Uncle Thom deal comes up, I ask people, hey, boy, have you ever read Uncle Thom's Cabin? Because if you actually read it, you'd find out that Uncle Thom was far from being any kind of sycophant or lackey. He was a hero who protected two female slaves that had escaped, would not give them up, but allowed himself to be abused by Simon Legree. Because he cared more about Simon Legree's soul than he did about stopping Simon Legree from beating him. So he was thinking, about eternity for Simon Legree, because he told people, he said, I'm going to heaven. I want to try to make sure that he does as well. So he was a man of love. I think that's why they resent him so much. So many leftists resent him so much because he looked beyond the flesh, which is exactly what God calls us to do, and sees the light of eternity in each human being and wants the very best for each human being, even those who might be our enemies.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Okay, Bishop, over the years, I, would imagine. I don't know if this is true, but I would imagine that you've had some instances where people have treated you different because of the color of your skin. So how have you not allowed that to get you back?
Caroline: Bitter?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, look, I'm a child of the 60s, and, I don't know about bitterness per se because of the way I was raised. I was given an optimistic viewpoint about what my life could be, but I certainly was imbued with some of those resentments. And it followed me into Christianity until the Lord really rebuked me rather sternly very early on in my ministry and said, you know, you've been imbibing things from the world. That's not me. That's not of the Spirit. And I had to repent. And God showed me a, Second Corinthians 5:16, which says, henceforth, no we no one according to the flesh. Even though we once knew Christ according to the flesh, now we know him thus no longer. So if anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation. And I began to realize, man, this is a trick of the devil separating, ourselves from people because of the complexion of their skin, which is about as superficial as it gets, right? So, yeah, I've been attacked for my views. But, you know, I have to tell you, Pastor Jeff, I don't care. I really don't, because I Love God. I know God is pleased with what I'm doing and the way I stand. He loves everybody. He doesn't make any distinctions. I said, I tell people sometimes I say, you know, if you really think that way, I don't know how you're going to fit in in heaven, you know, because there's not going to be any ghettos, there'll be any racial conclaves in heaven. Everybody's going to be one family in Christ Jesus. So I am happy with standing up for what I know to be true.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Well, I've been thinking a lot about this. Ew. You know, we're called as Christians to be salt and light. Charlie Kirk, who was murdered for his faith and for his engaging people with the truth. Men love the darkness rather than the light, for their deeds are evil. And Paul said, ah, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? Well, obviously Charlie Kirk did. but as far as salt and light goes, when you think about, if you put on the scoreboard, how is the church doing versus the world? And the whole world lies in the power of the evil. 1:1 Jon 5:19. And, you know, we're not to be conformed to this world. It seems to me that the church is conforming to the world much more than the world is impacting or that the church is impacting the world. for Christ, it seems like the opposite is going on. And I believe it's in large part because so many pastors and preachers are not standing up and just saying, hey, thus says the Lord. And, this is the way it is. And we make it very black and white, and we make it very clear. We seem to want to tiptoe around and not say anything too harshly. And I think, one of the reasons I consider you a kindred spirit is you're not like that. You're very straightforward, and people need to have straightforward truths.
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, this is such convoluted thinking. If you really love people, don't you want them to know the truth? Don't you want them to be confronted with it unequivocally? Because it's the best chance you have of making them realize that their souls are in, are in eternal danger. And so, you know, one of my favorite passages is Proverbs 28:4. And it says, those who forsake the law, praise the wicked, but such as keep the law, contend with them. You know, we have a responsibility to contend with the wicked and contend with wickedness. We don't do it out of hatred. We do it out of love. Love for God and love for people. and so you're right. I hear this a lot, you know. Well, we have to remember to speak the truth in love, because I don't care. You could. You could put it ice cream and whipped cream and cherry on the top and chocolate sprinkles. It doesn't matter how you say it. People who are committed to, the lie are going to hate you for telling them the truth. But maybe that lie will take root and ultimately bear fruit unto eternal life. And I'm willing to take that risk of people hating me. I say I'd rather you hate me on Earth and then see me in heaven and say, brother, hug my neck and tell me, thank you so much for confronting me. I didn't want it, but you did it. And as a result, here I am. Yes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Okay, Bishop, I was thinking about staying true to America's national destiny. The quote from Jon Adams, one of our founding fathers, the second President of the United States, rings in my ears a lot. You know, he said, our Constitution was, constructed in such a way for a moral and religious people. It is utterly incapable of governing any other. Now, that's not a direct quote, but that's basically what he said. Well, we don't have a moral and religious people anymore, so our Constitution is really struggling. I know we're up against a break, but I want you to chew on that a little bit, and let's discuss that when we come back from the break. You're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schreve: Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff. Here I'm talking to my friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And Bishop Jackson is on American Family Radio every week with the Awakening. And, he hosted the Awakening every day at noon until the Lord really laid on his heart to run for the presidency of the United States of America. And, because of Bishop Jackson's stands, the mainstream media and the machine that has set up our political machine here in the United States, it's really hard to break in. but I appreciate the fact that you did that, Bishop, because you felt like that's what the Lord wanted you to do. And your job is to obey. And even if that cost you, because, that did cost you some things. But, I want to get back to, that issue. The Jon Adams quote about the Constitution was framed and designed for a moral and religious people. It's wholly inadequate for the governance of any other. as we think about that and as we see America today, how does the Constitution. You pull out your crystal ball moving forward because you love America as I do. But how do we keep going with the way we are structured?
Bishop EW Jackson: You know, we have got to. And of course, I mean, not just you and me, but our audience and, every American who understands the gift we've been given. We have got to be bold proclaimers of truth. And not everybody will have the platform that you or I have. But they can talk to their family members. They can explain to their family members the things that they hear from us. Because my understanding of America is based on a biblical worldview. It is not based, on politics. It's Republican, it's Democrat. No, it's based upon a biblical worldview. When our founding fathers said that, our rights and our liberties come from God, in that great statement in the Declaration of Independence, I've said many times that was not just a political or legal statement. That was a spiritual and moral statement about the nature of the country they felt they were establishing. A country who understood that rights and liberty come from God. Well, if that's true, then the government is accountable to God for the protection of our rights and liberties. And we as individuals are accountable to God for the stewardship of those rights and liberties. And what a wonderful culture that sets up. and I think the Constitution really does reflect that. The preamble says it. It's written to secure the blessings of liberty. But I think we've got to stand up for every. I cringe every time I hear some leftists and even some republic. Our democracy. We are not a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. And there is a significant difference.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. Bishop, I heard a quote. I'm trying to remember who said it, but they were quoting from Jon Adams and they used that quote about a moral and religious people. And they said, they made this statement. They said, whose job was it and is it to keep America a, moral and religious people? It's not the job of the government, it's the job of the church. It's the job of pastors. And he said, why are we no longer a moral and religious people? It's because pastors have dropped the ball. They haven't taught. As we were talking at the break, a job of a pastor is to teach the people the word of God and what is right and what is wrong. And so as we think about, the, the continuance of America and the land of sweet land of liberty, that we want to pass down to our children and grandch, if pastors don't start taking seriously this is our job, we're in serious trouble. Because who else is going to do it? Lots, of pastors were putting their faith in. Tucker Carlsen, that proved to be a disaster. Shawn Hannity, any of those guys that we say, well, this guy's going to carry the torch. God's given us as preachers of the word of God, the mantle of you teach the people. And if we're not doing that, it's not going to happen.
Bishop EW Jackson: Amen. That same Jon Adams you just quoted, about a moral and religious people is the Jon Adams who said, during the Revolutionary War, leading up to it, pulpits thundered with the cause of freedom. And I'm convinced that had it not been for that, we would not have become independent. We would not have become an independent nation. God used the pulpits of our country. Pastors who understood that they were responsible for the stewardship of liberty just as much as a George Washington was. And every, you're right, every pastor should take that seriously and realize we are just as responsible as Donald Trump is because God is not looking to the secular world. He is looking to the body of Christ to be the salt and light that our country needs. And if we don't do it, you're right, who's going to? Because the world doesn't even know it, let alone, I mean, how can they do it when they don't even know what to do? You know, Isaiah 62 says you that make mention of the Lord. Do not keep silent and give him no rest until he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. And I say the same thing for our country. We should just not keep silent and just give prayer. No rest until America is made a praise in the earth.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Bishop, I want to play you a clip from Jon Fetterman, the senator, from Pennsylvania. He has been, a tremendous surprise to me. Somebody said, hey, I'd take Jon Fetterman over Jon Thune any day of the week. but this is what he had to say about the Democrat, his own party.
Bishop EW Jackson: Today we are electing some of these the worst people in the political spectrum. And I've been the one guy to say, like, look, have your own party. You can run on the crazy stuff about abolishing all of the things that you're showing on your screen. It's indefensible. And they're often living in very expensive homes and they come from a very wealthy backgrounds too. It's absolutely a scam. We should divorce us from them and I'll run as real Democrats the way we've always been.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So, Bishop, we have the Democrat Party being taken over by the socialists. And you got the young people that think this is so niche and cool and hey, let's get on this bandwagon, not realizing what this is going to do. They're very short sighted on this, in my opinion. So how do you think guys, like Jon Fetterman play in the Democrat Party? Because it seems to me like they would like to silence him, starting this morning.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, like you, I am pleasantly surprised by Jon Fetterman. You know, it brings a smile to my face when I hear it because I'm thinking, I thought he was a radical leftist too. But you know, the sad reality is, Jeff, he's a party of one at this point. The Democrat party is gone. As far as I am concerned, the Democrat party is a socialist party. No matter how much the so called establishment people protest to the contrary. Because look, they have been pushing socialism for a long time. Look at how they behave with COVID I mean, that tells you what kind of party it really is. But the problem is the cover's being pulled off, and they don't want that. You know, it's almost like, okay, okay, but don't tell everybody yet. We're not ready yet. I think we have got to see that party, for all practical purposes, completely decimated and let something else rise from it. of maybe some center left people who believe that government can be helpful in some ways, but don't believe in this totalitarian vision that aoc. And I mean, think about this. The two leading Democrats for president are aoc, who just rejoined the Socialist Party, and Pete Buttigieg, an active homosexual.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Mm m. Yeah. And then where do you throw Gavin Newsom in there?
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, I mean, he's way down the line. I mean, he may think he's gonna be the next president, but right now, at least the polling doesn't even show him in the running. But so think about. And of course. And he's just as bad as they are. Even though I say he's much better at saying nothing and convincing you that he said something. But, those two are the ones that everybody at this point is gravitating to.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Do you think, come 2028, Kamala Harris will still be in the mix?
Bishop EW Jackson: I don't think so. I think she's done too. She just doesn't realize it. Look, every time she talks, she gets further from the presidency because it's just clear that the woman is incapable of stringing together two words in a cogent way. I mean, I don't. Well, I won't say what I'm really thinking, but I'll tell you what. She did not earn her way by intellectual prowess to where she got.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes, yes. we can leave that at right.
Bishop EW Jackson: Exactly.
Caroline: Okay.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So I was thinking about this bishop, just this week. I can't think of one moral issue that shows up in politics. Really? I can't think of anything that the Democrats stand for today that I would say. Yeah, ah, that's good. You're on the right side. Not one issue. Can you think of one issue that you would say from a biblical standpoint? you guys are in the right, and, the people, the conservatives are in the wrong.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, if you talk to James Talarico, he would say that we Bible believing Christians are all wrong. and he hates Christianity, but he's right and he is a Christian. I mean. Yeah, look, I say everything the Democrat party stands for, God, is against everything they stand against God is for. So they are really the party that is in. In rank rebellion against almighty God. It's really just that simple. and it's really because God is their power. I mean, power is their God. Now. They don't want the God of the Bible. They want power. And so God has no place in their lives. He has a party place in their party. Remember, former, chairman of the Judiciary Committee said when, I think it was, Representative Roy Chip Roy, who said, read a scripture about homosexuality and transgenderism, maybe it was about transgenderism. And, and the chairman of the Judiciary Committee says this, the House. There is no room for. For God on the. On the floor of the House of Representatives or something to that effect. I mean, so. So, I mean, that's. That's where they are. Amen. Wherever we talk, we talk about praying for people. And they said, we don't need your prayers. We need action. Yeah, they're gone.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah. Okay. So as we think about the state of the world and how we are very. I believe we're marching as fast as we can to judgment, the way we're living and abortion and transgenderism and mutilating kids and transing kids and all the things that, are being done in schools today.
Caroline: We.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: We see the Lindsay Clancy case. They can't decide. This woman who brutally strangles her three children. You, know if she's insane? I. My personal feeling, Bishop, is that the demonic is at work in any of those kind of instances. But, she's guilty now. Guilty by reason of insanity. Okay. You're going to be locked up in some kind of institution for the rest of your life, but you never get out. And it's not a hard thing to determine this. She is guilty. They're talking now. Hung jury and how, you know, we're with Lindsay, and all this stuff. It seems like the ladies that are pro abortion jump on the Lindsey Clancy bandwagon. How do you view this case?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, the first insight. I really believe God spoke this to me because I hadn't thought about it. If she had killed those children before they were born, they would put her on a pedestal and applaud her. She would be a hero. she killed them after they were born. So it now presents a legal conundrum. And, you're right. This is deeply demonic. You ever notice you never hear about crazy people, psychotic people, roaming around the streets, doing nice things for others that are sacrificial, that, you know, that are just so extraordinarily nice, that you just go wow. Why is it always that it has to do with killing and harming and hurting? Because you're right. This is. This stuff. I'm not saying there's not a mental element to this, but this is spiritual, and this is demonic. look, I think she's got to be held accountable. No matter what, excuses they make for. She's got to be held accountable. But here's the thing. In our law, if. If a person can be proved not to have understood that the. The moral wrongness of their actions when they did it, technically we don't hold those count people accountable because we say they had. They had the. They lacked the requisite mens rea. Forgive me for putting on my lawyer hat here. They lacked the requisite mens rea. But you're right. There's so much evidence that would suggest that on some level, she knew that what she was doing was wrong. So it's going to be interesting to see how. How it all plays out. I think there's going to be a hung jury ultimately, and I think that, there's going to probably be some accommodation reached, because you're right. The culture's gotten so. Look, we've killed so many unborn babies that I think we. Many people have become numb to the killing of children, and it's easy to make excuses for a person like this.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: So if we, you know, it's not a leap from abortion now, abortion at the point of delivery, as they just passed in Massachusetts, it's not too far a leap to say, well, we need to go into the nursing homes and these older people that don't have a quality of life, we need to just end their lives. how far away from that do you think we are, Bishop?
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, we're doing it. I mean, Oregon already has a right to death law. and I think there's one other state. I don't know whether it's Washington state, but there's another state that does as well. I mean, there are jurisdictions where this is already happening, where you can say that you no longer want to continue with your life, and the medical community is responsible for giving you what you need to kill yourself. so let alone a person that you look at and say, well, this person. Quality of life is no longer worth it. Let's just get rid of them. look, it's all a slippery slope, isn't it? I say, once you open the door and you violate God's standard for morality, well, you can't then just say, okay, but we're Only going to go so far with this because sin never gets enough.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: That's very good. Yeah. And so I don't think in those areas though, Bishop, they're not allowing somebody else to determine that. Right. It's the person determining that for themselves.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, that's right. But you know, then you get a medical professional involved and you get psychologists involved and, and you know, it becomes a little murky who's actually making the decision.

Pastor Jeff Schreve: Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here talking to my good friend Bishop E.W. jackson. And we've been talking about, our country and what are we going to do? What is the future going to look like? Unless Jesus said, unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. And God has given us examples in scripture. And Israel crumbled, in 722 BC the Northern Kingdomnomics, because they embraced idolatry and rejected the Lord. Judah crumbled in 586 BC because they did the same thing. They didn't learn the lesson from their sister, to the north. And we are going to experience the same thing if we continue to rebel against God. Because God is patient, but his patience doesn't last forever. Bishop, we have the words from Daniel Mini Mene Tekel Upharsin, weighed in the balance and found wanting. And if we go in the same way they went and Belshazzar went, we're going to find ourselves in the same position, and we don't want that. Caroline: Hey, Brother Jeff, Brother Bishop, thank y' all for taking my call. Good morning. I know you're m blessed. I'm blessed as well.
Bishop EW Jackson: Amen.
Caroline: I just. I got. I know you're talking about socialism. Yesterday, I got a sticker on my truck says socialism. You make it, they take it. You know, and I've been. I've been flipped off for at least eight years now every day. And for some reason, my guns ain't jumped up out of their holster and shot nobody. But, I wonder, y' all was talking about Charlie Kirk earlier, and I was watching a Charlie Kurt video, last night, and it was Charlie Kurt and Dr. Ben Carson. And, it was called Should Christians be political? And Dr. Ben Carson made a statement saying, unless Jesus on the ballot, nobody's ever gonna be perfect. So you gotta vote your values. So, I mean, everybody's gonna have flaws. So. And he went into the abortion on. They don't give these babies no anesthesia. You know, they just put the prongs in there, and they start ripping their arms off and the legs off. And, you know, it's just. It's a sick world we live in. But God bless y'. All. And I, encourage everybody to go watch that video before election. You know, vote your values.

Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, absolutely. Look, first of all, I'm glad that his guns have not jumped up out of his holster, because that's not the answer.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Right.
Bishop EW Jackson: Just make that very clear. But, you know, the word of God says In Isaiah, chapter 1, verse 9, it says, unless the Lord of hosts had left to us a very small remnant, we would have become like Sodom. We would have been made like Gomorrah. And what I tell Christians is we are the best hope our country has, which is why we have to be engaged, because I really believe that God will preserve America even if the majority have gone utterly crazy. He will preserve our country if a remnant is willing to stand up. And we've got to be that remnant.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Very good. Well, we have, our friend Linda on the line from Texas. Linda, welcome to the program.
Caroline: Thank you. I'm just amending what you're just saying. Oh, my goodness. and just, what I told her, as soon as this program started, this hit me, about shepherds, pastors, back in the Revolutionary War, pastors were in that pulpit, and they took their, garbs off their robes, whatever, and they left to go join the military. And it was like, you talk about a vision of the church, the pastors being involved. That's all I wanted to share. I thought, oh, my goodness gracious. You know, and so.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, amen to that. Bishop. That was the black. Was that the black robe regiment?
Bishop EW Jackson: That was the black robe regiment. She's, I think, probably referring specifically to Jon Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg, who gave that famous sermon out of Ecclesiastes 3. And then at the conclusion to everything, There's a Season, a time for war and a time for peace, then took off his clerical, robe, and underneath it was a militia uniform and led 300 men into the Revolutionary War, became an adjunct to George Washington and so forth. So, yeah, I mean, look, you're absolutely right. We've got to get on the spiritual battlefield now. We have to load up our weapons and go take to the streets, but we got to get on the spiritual battlefield, so that God can use us to accomplish his plans and purposes for America. The name of our organization, Staying True to America's National Destiny. Because I really believe that when God put it in the hearts of our founding fathers, he had a plan for America, and it's up to us as Christians to see to it that is fulfilled.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen to that. Well, thanks, Linda. I appreciate that. We have, Ray on the line from Ohio. Ray, welcome to the program.
Caroline: Hi. I heard some Republicans say that if Jesus came here without the right paperwork, they put him in a cage with the other illegals. And I was wondering what you think about that.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, it's just. Yeah, that's something.
Bishop EW Jackson: I don't know what Republican would say that. Well, first of all, that's absurd, because Jesus, when he comes, is not going to need any paperwork.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, he has the title deed to the universe.
Bishop EW Jackson: Exactly. He's the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. I don't think there's going to be. Listen, he's going to be asking other people for their paperwork, so to speak.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. And you know, Bishop, we talk about walls and things like that. I mean, it is interesting. As you read In Revelation, the last two chapter, there are walls around heaven. the new Jerusalem has walls and it has gates. And, he says nobody's going to enter there. That doesn't, you know, no outsider, the dogs and the sorcerers and the evil people. And none of those people are going to be able to enter the kingdom of heaven, only those who have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, you know, I think. I think it's Ezekiel. It's in the book of ezekiel. I think it's 22, where it says, I look for a man to stand in the gap and build up a wall. And I said, what is that wall? That's a wall between right and wrong, a wall between good and evil. God expected the children of Israel to build a wall between themselves and the pagans around them. I often thought of President Trump when I would read that text, because he was the first president to say, we need to build a wall on our southern border. And people went crazy. Oh, that's racist. That's terrible. But actually, it's really quite biblical.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yes. Amen to that. Okay. We have Roy on the line from Mississippi. Roy, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Hey, Brother Jeff, Brother Jackson, I love you guys. I believe that both of you are highly anointed of God to speak the truth. And I pray his protection over each and every one of you.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Thank you.
Caroline: My question, My question is, with all this is going on, especially in America, around the world, the rise of this and the rise of that, and blatant blasphemy of God's word by people like James Puellarico, you think maybe we are witnessing what the Lord referred to as the great falling away?
Bishop EW Jackson: Bishop, what was that last place?
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Well, ah, he's second Thessalonians 2 about the falling away, the apostasy.
Bishop EW Jackson: Well, yeah, you know, there are people who interpret that as the great catching away. but I will say this. I think the closer we get to the great tribulation, the closer we get to the rapture. For those of us who believe in the Rapture, I think the worst things are going to get, and I think they're going to sort of build to a crescendo that concludes with that. So, Yes, I think 75%, according to George Barnard, 75% of the people, people who are in churches who call themselves Christians, do not believe that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God. So I think we're definitely there. We're experiencing that great falling away. Yes, Bishop?
Pastor Jeff Schreve: I think you and I have talked about this before, but Darrell, Harrison is a friend of mine, a, pastor in, Arizona. He was on Jon, MacArthur's Grace to youo Staff. And he makes the statement. He's a black guy. He makes the statement that so many of the black churches, they don't preach the gospel. They're more like Obama's church. They, you know, get people riled up and things like that. you as a. As a black pastor, how do you see that? Because you're definitely in the minority.
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, it's heartbreaking to me because, they have been matriculated into this Black Liberation theology. they have been placed in a situation where their constituents seem to them to demand that they be m. More racial than biblical. and so racial issues are put above Jesus and above biblical principle in many of these churches. Now, not all, of course, but I think that's right. I think the majority. That's the way they roll. and it's really going to take a great awakening in this country. Of course, not only if 75% of the churches in America are going apostate. shouldn't surprise us that many of these churches, with Americans of African ancestry have done the same thing. But we got to pray for an awakening in our country where the church, first of all, comes back to the word of God as the ultimate authority over all matters of faith and practice, rather than race or the Democrat Party or Republican Party or anything else.
Caroline: Yeah.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Amen. Well, we have Linda on the line from Missouri. Linda, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Good morning, you guys. I listen to you every morning. I'm telling you, it's a routine that I cannot break. And I used to listen w. And I totally agree with 99 point of what you're saying, but I just have a little bit of a beef against Fetterman. I agree with what he says and, you know, he said, but I think he's tooting his horn. And. Because once he denounces abortion and denounces homosexuality, he can be on my ticket. Otherwise, he's just honking his horn. That's all he's doing, Mr. M. Jeff. And, well, I get a kick out of you and Debbie.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Thank you on that. Well, we. He's the lone Democrat now. What? And I'm not saying that he's, a conservative by any stretch of the imagination, but he hasn't lost his mind as far as the Democrats go.
Bishop EW Jackson: Yeah, that's my view, too. Look, I'm not prepared to vote for him if he were to run for president, I certainly wouldn't be looking to him as the next leader of our country. Right, but you're right. He at least shows some willingness to be ground. I mean, like his defense of Israel, for example. I mean, his whole party has become anti Israel, including some of the Jewish representatives, and he stood for Israel. So. So there are some good things in what he said. And. And, we can. We can take some solace in that, that maybe all is not lost. Yes.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Very good. Okay. We have Lisa on the line from Arkansas. Lisa, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline: Hey, Jeff. Good morning. Good morning, Bishop.
Bishop EW Jackson: Good morning.
Caroline: I don't know if you remember when we were all in Houston in 2001, when Andrea Yates, killed her children in the bath. She drowned. All five.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah.
Caroline: You know, she. It was five. Yeah. And she did it one right after the other, all in the same bath water. And, you know, she exhibited signs of schizophrenia, psychosis, all these things for years leading up to this. And so she was insane, and she. She, you know, completely tested off the charts for insanity. But when you compare that to this case of Lindsey Clancy, she was doing everything normally. She was able to think and process and call her husband and give him a list and.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Right.
Caroline: It's just. It's kind of crazy because that was 25 years ago. So this is how far we've come. nobody came to Andrea Yates defense. Everybody was like, she killed her kids. She needs to go to jail. And now you've got all these people supporting Lindsay Clancy, saying, oh, this poor thing, you know, she had psychosis or whatever. And it's just stunning how far we've come in 25 years. And then you've got the guy that stabbed Irina, I think, how you say her name, you know, and he could not notice trial because they said he wasn't fit to stand trial. So I. I don't know how you square that. I don't know how people square those things.
Pastor Jeff Schreve: Yeah, that's a good point. So, Bishop, we've traveled, a long way in the wrong direction in the last 25 years.
Bishop EW Jackson: We certainly have. And we have learned to justify any kind of behavior at all. But let's face it, that's what happens when you reject God's standards. Then what becomes the new standard? Well, you just kind of make it up as you go along, and if you like the person or you like what they've done or you like what they stand for, anything is acceptable. Anything they've done is justifiable. and, you know, people who like abortion? Who? People who think that they're defenders of women think. Well, you know, we understand. So. You're right. Look, I think this is where we as Christians can make all the difference in the world because we can continue to hold up a godly standard that does not change no matter what the circumstances are. And that's what our society needs.
