President Trump has threatened to bomb Iranian bridges if Iran fails to reach cease fire deal
>> Alex McFarland: Pakistan's prime minister said in a post on X today that diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle east are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in the near future. The Prime Minister said he requested President Donald Trump to extend the deadline set for this evening for two weeks to allow diplomacy to, to run its course. Fox contributor Brit Hume I think this
>> Brit Hume: recent news you just mentioned, ah, suggests, one way this all could go forward which would be, some sign acceptable to the President that Iran wants to make a deal that would allow him to say, okay, well, we'll postpone this attack, this attack he's threatened, ah, a little longer. that's one way, otherwise I think, there's going to be a big attack tonight.
>> Alex McFarland: Fox's Matt Finn is in Dubai with the latest on the President's deadline for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.
>> Trey Yings: Israel announced that the IDF targeted eight bridges in Iran. The IDF rioting the armed forces of the Iranian terrorist regime use these bridges to transfer weapons and military equipment, equipment that these forces employ to advance and carry out terrorist actions against the state of Israel and countries across the Middle East. And Iranian state media is reporting that Iran is instructing people to form human shields around power plants and bridges in Iran as President Trump has warned the US May bomb bridges and power plants in Iran today if the US And Iran cannot come to a cease fire deal. Now Internet access is believed to be at about 1% in Iran right now, so it's not clear if Iranians are aware of President Trump's 8pm deadline tonight.
An American journalist who was kidnapped by Hezbollah has been released
>> Alex McFarland: An American journalist has been freed after she was captured. Fox's Trey Yings is in Tel Aviv and reports an Iran linked terror group is to blame.
>> Dr. Jessica Peck: A US Official confirming to Fox News that American journalist Shelly Kittleson, who was kidnapped a week ago in Baghdad, Iraq by an Iran backed Iraqi Shia militia has been released. There were US efforts behind the scenes, I am told, to secure her release from likely Khatap Hezbollah, an Iranian group inside of Iraq. Shelly Kittelson, that journalist who was kidnapped we understand Bay Kha type Hezbollah and held for about a week. This is a group that operates inside of Iraq and it is journalist who is well known across the region for reporting fairly on many different stories, especially in Baghdad. The Iraqi capital Kataibi.
>> Alex McFarland: Hezbollah said in a statement that it planned to free Kittleson. That statement also said she must leave the country immediately. Militia members told the Associated Press that other fighters were released in exchange. Artificial intelligence is leaving its mark on the mainstream media in the U.S. starting with the standard bearer, the Associated press More from AFN's Steve Jordal the Associated
>> Steve Jordahl: Press announced Monday it's offering buyouts to an unspecified number of its US Based reporters. The AP says it's moving away from print journalism to visual media, mirroring the industry in general. Newspapers have been the AP's bread and butter since the mid-1800s. Dan Schneider of Media Research center says the Internet was the first to shake up the media landscape. Now followed by AI.
>> Wesley Wildmon: We're seeing people migrating to what we hear at the Media Research center call the big four news apps, Google News, Apple News, Microsoft, MSN and Yahoo News.
>> Steve Jordahl: He says one thing that hasn't changed is the bias the AP has shown since the 1970s.
>> Wesley Wildmon: The Associated Press has been so rigged against anybody right of center. Its, approval ratings have tanked, especially among Republicans. It's getting its just desserts.
>> Steve Jordahl: Schneider says AI probably won't fix the problem.
>> Wesley Wildmon: Artificial intelligence is going to end up dominating the entire distribution of information. Right now these AI systems are trained almost exclusively on left wing content.
>> Steve Jordahl: And he says trusted journalism is trending away from traditional sources like broadcast and cable networks.
>> Wesley Wildmon: And the Associated Press new, media ecosystem is kind of based on independent journalism.
>> Steve Jordahl: Look for names like Matt Taibbi, Catherine Renfro Herridge, Micah Shellenberger, Andy Ngo and John Solomon. I'm Steve Jordal.
>> Alex McFarland: That'll do it for this hour's news. See [email protected]
>> Caroline: hi, this is Alec Frank from Minnesota. We had a house fire on May 4th and we live in a camper all summer long. And there's two things that never change. One is God's sovereign grace and the words that he gave us in the Bible and two is inspiration. Ah coming from afr. We played AFR in the house every day when we do homeschool and we play AFR in the camper to get our day started. Thank you to all you people on AFR that put out awesome inspiration, whether you're going through a house fire or no matter what you're going through in life.
>> Jeff Chamblee: In Matthew 22:37 40, Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments. It's Share a Thon, on American family radio. Call now 877-616-2396. That's 877-616-2396. Or give [email protected] make your pledge and help us love God and love people during shareathon.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Good afternoon, everyone. You are listening to American Family Radio, where we are in day one of our spring 2026 share a thon. My name is Abraham Hamilton III. I host the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio, which you can hear daily during the week from 5 to 6pm Central normally. But I'm here an hour early because we're here on shareathon. And I have the express privilege to fulfill something I've always wanted to do. I've always wanted to be on Exploring the Word. So I'm taking this as a privilege of being able to be on Exploring the Word as I am joined by the Dr. Alice McFarland, who is on with us, as well as Pastor Bert Harper, the dynamic duo that makes up Exploring the Word. Brothers, thank you for allowing me to join you this afternoon.
>> Bert Harper: Thank you. Thank you so much.
>> Caroline: Great.
>> Bert Harper: What would we call exploring the word?
>> Caroline: 2.
>> Bert Harper: And with 3. Ah, it's good to be with you. We are looking forward to this. And I, I give that number and I'm going to be the number giver.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Well, let's do it.
>> Bert Harper: It's 877-616-2396. And the last month. yeah, I sound weird. I know that. Help me out, Brent. but last hour, Abe, we were challenging our people to really give. And they have done it. They've done it well. And so we thank God for that, Alex. It was a great, great hour. But guess what? We want another great hour, don't we?
>> Alex McFarland: We do. And I'm going to give that number if you would give. If you would invest in the work of the American Family Radio Network, American Family Association. and we'll explain what all your support. Support is doing, which is much, much. But the number 8776-162396-87776-162396. Or you can give [email protected] we would ask you to do that. Hey, my brother, Abe Hamilton. It's, it's great that you want to be a part of exploring the Word, and we welcome you heartily. But I want to say what a great honor that I've had. For several years, I've kind of been a semi regular, guest host. If you're traveling or such, I get to be on the Hamilton Corner. And it's a great honor. And Jeff McIntosh, the producer, we've, we count it such a privilege, to sit in for attorney pastor broadcaster Abe Hamilton. And it's been my joy to have many, many great guest on that show. So, we are so privileged and I appreciate you, Abe, and it's great to be on with you this hour as well.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Well, praise God, man.
American Family Radio is committed to the, the Holy Bible
It's a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful thing that we all get to do, really, being here on American Family Radio. And I know brother Bert said he is the number giver, but I'm going to give the number as well, because it is 877-616-2396. That number is 877-616-2390. You know, at this critical juncture in our nation's history, you know, President Trump, this, deadline, 8:00pm Eastern Time to the Iranians. And it's interesting how it's happening, at a time in our nation when people are questioning the relationship that we have as the United States of America to Israel. And I think it's important for voices like those here on American Family Radio to be able to convey the truth, you know, to articulate sound biblical understanding so that those who are going about their daily lives and daily activities, that they have a place that they can rely upon to not merely offer or opinion, but to offer the truth of God's word. And so when people call that number 877-616-2396, the number again is 877-616-2396. they can do so when you make your contributions, knowing that AFR has been historically, is currently, and will always be rooted and grounded upon the word of God.
>> Bert Harper: That gives us so much hope, because there's really no other way. It's settled in heaven.
>> Caroline: And.
>> Bert Harper: And, I love our mission statement. I love our vision. And, so it's so important to do that. So make that call. 877-616-2396.
>> Alex McFarland: You know, guys, one of the things that I've heard in, you know, ministries and missions is what's called drift Mission drift. And even though the founder of AFA has gone on to be with the Lord, Dr. Don Wildmon, I know I've been around by God's grace, been around for 16 years. this ministry is solidly committed, as you said, to the, the inerrant, infallible word of God, the Holy Bible. Folks, you will never turn on AFR radio and hear that we've gone woke, that we have drifted away. And no, we will never, dip the colors. As they say. Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus Christ is the one and only savior. The Bible is God's written revelation for the human race. morality is objective, not subjective. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Male and female are the only two genders. Life is sacred. America is based on a Judeo Christian worldview. Abe and Bert, the beautiful thing, that's why we are so enthusiastically committed. We would ask you to be as well. This ministry is true to its core convictions and always will be.
The theme for this year's shareathon is love God and love people
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Now, Pastor Bird, I want to ask this question, and I'm pretty sure you brothers have tackled this on Exploring the Word. The theme that we have for the shareathon this year is based on Matthew 22, verses 37 through 40, encapsulated in the expression love God and love people. You know, it's one of the things that gets twisted and really perverted in our, in our culture concerning what actually love is. And I'll toss this to Pastor Bert first. when you hear or consider the idea of loving God and loving people, what immediately comes to your mind?
>> Bert Harper: The first thing comes to my mind is speak the truth in love, it really does come to that point. And notice what says first speak the truth and then love.
>> Bert Harper: If you're not speaking the truth, you really and you know the truth. It's not loving not to speak the truth. And the truth. Jesus said, I am the weight, the truth and the life. So when I hear that love God, love people, I also know that it's talking about truth because they were coming to Jesus and asking, what is the greatest commandment? Now, you know, in my opinion, it was during that period of time trying to trick him.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Oh, that's no doubt explicitly they were
>> Bert Harper: trying to trick him. And so here it is, he just lays it out and then he says everything of the law and prophet is built on those two. And so, that's what we do. It hadn't been that long since we covered that, you know, that they were trying to trick him. Last week was Holy Week or Passion Week. And we were talking about those last times, the confrontations, and that was one of them. So we covered that last week. And so it is so true. And when you love the Lord, you want others to know the truth. And so that's why Charathon is so important for people to call 877-616-2396. We're pledged to the truth and we're pledged to love people because we love God.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: I'm so glad you articulated that, especially the way you did. And I just want to reiterate, the number is 877-616-2396. We have a host of folks ready to receive your phone calls to process those pledges. Is 877-616-2396 is the number or you can give securely [email protected] that is afr.net Dr. Alex, I was going to ask you as well, when you consider that love God, love people, how does that relate to what we're doing right now during shareathon? You know, I know you travel extensively all over the country annually. but how does that relate, loving God, loving people relate to what we're doing right now during Shareathon?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, 1600 years ago, Augustine said the highest form of love is to tell people the truth. And the truth is that unless a person is born again, they will not see the kingdom of heaven. That's John chapter three. And the truth is, the Bible warns us there is a way that seems right to a man, the end of which are the ways of death. Now, so what we're doing, we're truly loving people because we're telling them about Jesus. And I believe we love our nation because we every day, by the airwaves and in print and in pulpits around the nation, we're giving people the prescription for the restoration of our nation. But guys, and I'm 62 now, so I've been around the block a little bit. But, there was a time when I think the most well known verse in the country was John 3:16. For God so loved the world. But it seems like in recent years the verse that gets quoted at us mostly would be Matthew 7:1, Judge not that you be not judged and that that love has been conflated or twisted rather to mean that we have to agree with anything and everything and never, critique or give people a refutation of things they assume. So I want to say this folks, there are some things in this world that we should not affirm. In fact, there are some things that we ought to critique and even condemn. And what we're doing, we're not just spouting off our opinion. We're giving God's word. When we talk about morals, marriage, gender, government, culture, the boundaries for life and our nation, we're giving you God's word and God's principles, and the world needs to know it. That's why we're asking you to invest. Folks, this is not about anybody's opinion. This is about timeless truth that our nation was built upon and, frankly, must be recovered.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Well said. 877-616-2396 is the number to call. 877-616-2390 is the number to call. Or you can make your gift securely. You can do so securely [email protected] that is afr.net for American Family Radio. this is what we endeavor to do. Speak the truth in love. Love God, and love people. You cannot love absent of truth, and you cannot have truth absent of love. They work together. They have to go together. I see. Pastor Bert, you have your pen and paper ready? You're taking notes?
>> Bert Harper: Yeah, making notes. I do. I do radio. I don't preach with a pen and paper, but I do radio with a pen and paper.
The American Family Association is celebrating 250 years this year
Two things I really want to do. I want to thank Tony Perkins for allowing this hour. They're able to be on. They're our partners, you know, and they're there. But during Sherithon, Tony and his organization said, guys, you guys take it in this hour, because we couldn't be on if it wasn't for you. There wouldn't be a, network to be on. So I want to say thank you to Tony. One of the things I love to do is see names of the people. And one of the things is the loc m. And I try to pick out the most interesting name. The one I've seen so far is in Arkansas. Romance Arkansas. That's the truth. It came up a moment ago, and I wrote that down. I don't know who you are from romance Arkansas, but, man, that's the place to be from.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Talking about truth in love.
>> Bert Harper: Hey, they got it. So, yes, but when you make that call, no matter where you're from. Okay. No matter where you're from. 877-616-2396. and it doesn't matter the size of the gift. Now, I know if you give 150 or more, you'll get five constitutions. And, it's a booklet. And, man, what a book it is. And if you give $30 or more per month, you get those same five books. But you also get the wristband that says celebrating 250 years and in God we trust. And in God we trust is one of the ways AFR got started. Don started print up, that you could put in an 8 by 10 frame. And I still see them all over Tupelo, Mississippi, where we're headquartered. We're going to be. And they're behind the counter. It's usually an older men, older, you know, store or something. But it'll have that frame in God we trust. And so hey, we still trusting in God whether they do or not. We do.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Amen. Well, when you make your call, 877-616-23966. We'll work towards getting those in some newer stores as well. because we want the older stores to have them. We want the newer stores to have them. And most importantly, we must have an American populace that trusts in the Lord. You don't get to 250 years without our Lord's providence. And it is by God's grace and his grace alone that we can go another 250.
>> Bert Harper: Amen.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Should that be his will? 877-616-23966 is the number to call. If you've been considering it all throughout the day, prayerfully contemplating whether or not this was the time. Make this the moment where you give your gift. 877-616-2396. That is the number to call or you can give securely [email protected] that is afr.net Abraham Hamilton III here. Pastor Bert Harper. Dr. Alice McFarland. More Spring Shareathon 2026 when we get
>> Don Wildmon: back,
>> Don Wildmon: You sponsor good, clean, constructive programs. We'll go out of our way to buy your products. We appreciate it. you sponsor immorality, vulgarity, profanity. We'll make it a point not to buy your products. And we'll tell our friends and our neighbors and ask them to do the same.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Donald Wildmon founded the American Family Association. The year was 1977.
>> Don Wildmon: Our bill folds have an off on button. And as Christians we have an, obligation not to purchase products which we knowingly will go to help promote pornography and anti Christian, anti family values. You know what you're saying to me? You're saying to me, here's a choice. If you don't like it, turn it off. You're saying the same thing to me. No, you're telling. Yes you are. You're telling me that If I sit down and I don't like sexual infidelity and I don't like profanity, and I don't like seeing somebody clobber somebody over the head, then forget it.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Your continued support of the American Family association keeps us on the front lines of America's culture war.
>> Caroline: Hi, my name is Dwight. I'm from Vider, Texas. I've been listening to AFR probably close to 10 years. I listened for the first three or four years, and always during the marathon, I kept thinking about giving money, but I didn't, and I forgot, kept feeling the push for it. So I finally did, and I made the one donation. And when I did that donation, I got a bloopers from, heretofore known as Learning University. Anyway, when I got that, I played it, and I had gotten on to learning University one time, and there I was at the end of the table. Well, I felt that being motivation because the next year I became a monthly giver, and things have been going good for me. And I love, all of the different shows. Y' all have a blessed day.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Share Thought continues on American family Radio. Call and pledge your support at 877-616-2396. That's 877-616-2396. Or give [email protected] and help us love God and love people on American family Radio.
American Family Radio stands pat in an effort to be a beacon light in the
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen. You are listening to American family Radio. We are in day one of our spring 2026 share a THON. Abraham Hamilton. Here I'm joined by the dynamic duo from exploring the Word. Dr. Alex McFarland, Pastor Bert Harper. I mean, what better guys to spend the hour with? And I want to emphasize, as you're giving, people are already making their pledges, giving their best gifts, that, I like to emphasize that as you do, that you are a part of the work that we do here. That we have the whole phenomenon that really is amplified in this time with operation epic Fury happening in Iran. that you may perceive us as being on the front lines, but you are a part of the supply lines. But as we understand, those who are on the supply line are part of the supply line, and those who are on the front lines, they comprehensively comprise the fighting force. And that is what we are endeavoring to be. So as you call 877-616-2396, you are forging your port, your path as a participant in the supply line in this day and time where there's such a famine of truth and such a Prevalence of deception in our society. American Family Radio stands pat in an effort to be a beacon light in the midst of a morass of darkness. Now, one of the things I wanted to do coming right out of the gate, is if we have one ready, Brent, to listen to an additional listener testimony, because it's always encouraging to hear, how people are being impacted all over our nation, if not the world. Through the ministry of American Family Radio.
>> Caroline: AVAR has done so much for me
>> Alex McFarland: and kept me going every day.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: I got up and listened to them, and I just want to say it's
>> Alex McFarland: a better world with them than without.
>> Caroline: Thank you.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. That is, you know, I've got a book at the NRV by, Jensen Franklin, Short Prayers. And he goes through the Bible and uses the real short prayers and how it affects us. Short testimony sometimes does that, guys. You know, hey, it changed my life, and, I think I could give the testimony about being saved. Jesus Christ changed my life, and I believe AFR is changing people's lives. When I look at our mission statement, guys, and it talks about the activating, informing, equipping, man, what a job we do. But it's added to it and aid the church in carrying out the Great Commission at home and abroad. And listen, we're involved in the greatest work in all the world. Seriously, the gospel of Jesus Christ. And when people make that call and they get on that supply line that you were talking about, Abe, they're partners. We, we wouldn't be able to do it without the partnership of those people that call in and say, and I want to get this in, I'll pass it back to you guys. the reason you're hearing us on the radio is because of the people who have given in the past. And again, you. When you give, you're making it possible for it to continue. we don't want to break that chain. You know, there are some chains that need to be broken. Amen. They really are. But there are some change that needs to continue. And the chain that's helping AFR be in the ministry of God that it wants to be is. Is continuing, and we want to continue it. Abe.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Amen. 877-616-2396 is the number to call. 877-616-2390 is the number to call or you can give securely [email protected] that is afr.com Brother Alex, I wanted to ask you, as you know, you travel the country, you're on AFR Daily with exploring the word. the apostle Jude, the half brother of Jesus, naturally, wanted to write about the common salvation that we enjoy, but was not able to do so because false brethren had crept into the Lord's church unaware all the way back in the first century. And so he needed to write to encourage the brethren to contend for the faith, earnestly contend for the faith that has been once and for all passed down to the saints. As you survey the landscape in our nation, the time is true now, just as it was in the first century, to where there are those who seek to place the gospel under siege. What are some of the things that you recognize that, that our efforts to, hinder the superintendent, the Holy Spirit, superintended work of the Gospels, promulgation and disciples being made in our nation.
>> Alex McFarland: God bless you. Well, you know, Satan has always tried to blind the eyes of people and distort and twist and even in our own life, you know, A.B. i think I've seen it all. And then something new will come along. And you mentioned the, Jude, verse three, which is a great verse that we are to earnestly contend for the faith. You know, there are eight, eight to ten clear passages in the NewSong Testament that tell us that we are to defend the Christian faith. And it's the word apologia from which we get the word apologetics. But one of the, very sophisticated ways that the devil, I think, has tried to oppose the word of God, especially in the minds of young people, and I spoke about this at the ACTIVATE Summit last summer, is what's called the red letter only movement. And you say, well, maybe that sounds good. What is that? Well, the red letters are the words of Christ, obviously, in Scripture. but the red letter only, which is popular in some circles. They'll say, well, we don't read the Old Testament because that's no longer relevant, although it is. And then the words of Paul, Paul was misogynistic. Paul was oppressive. But we just read the words of Jesus only. Now, that might sound good, but what it is is the line goes like this. Well, Jesus never mentioned homosexuality. Jesus never mentioned transgenderism. Jesus said, you know, love your neighbor. And Matthew 5:7, the Sermon on the Mount. So here's the thing. We have to help people understand the whole counsel of God. In John 5. 39, Jesus said, Search the Scriptures for they testify of me. And by that he would have meant the Old Testament. So here's my point, guys. We are all about evangelizing the lost and equipping the Saved. And just as people helped us mature up in the faith, and we are still doing that, we want to help people mature up and learn the whole counsel of God. That's why we would ask you folks, we, we would ask you to give 877-616-2396 is the number. If you would call them, please call right now. While you're thinking about it, you can give securely [email protected] I'm going to say this. I'll throw it back to you guys. Look, we love the Lord, the simple gospel. Jesus died, he rose again. God loves you. Christ is as close by as a prayer. But we really do stay on top of the trends. We've always got our eyes and ears open what's going on philosophically, culturally, politically, globally, geopolitically, spiritually. Abe, wouldn't you agree that, afr, really, we are at the point of the spear staying abreast of what is going on in this world. And we do our best to, to condense and parse it out and equip people so the body of Christ will have discernment and stay at the ready to present, explain and defend.
American Family Radio relies on donations to support its mission
We try to do that, don't we?
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Absolutely. And it's part of the responsibility, of a watchman to do that. And, because there are, swirling forces and efforts to, you know, the scripture talks about being pressed in on all sides to undermine, to broadside attack, to sneak attack, from all, all sides. And as we refer to the verse in Jude 3, it simply conveys the reality that there's never been a time when the, when the gospel was not assailed, you know, where those who sought to derogate from the truth of God's word. And so that's why we invite people to call 877-616-2396 to support the work that we do here through American Family Radio. That is the number to call 877-616-2396 or you can give securely online at afr.net Pastor Brett, I wanted to ask you just to share with the callers during this hour, some of the details concerning the shareathon premiums. And then, to, if you could hold all this intention, to respond and chime in on what Dr. Alex just shared, with us.
AFR is raising funds to continue missions after World War II
>> Bert Harper: We are, we are there. Don Wildmon, our founder. I remember the first board meeting that I came to years and years ago. they were kind of breaking me in. You know, I was back then, Abe. I was the young man on the Block. And it's changed a lot since then. I know, but, you know, they called Don and they weren't talking about Mississippi State or Georgia. They said he is a bulldog, and in other words, he's going to the fight. We talked about 9, 11 and how the policemen and the firemen, in place of them running from the fire, they ran into the fire. That explains Don Wildmon. When it came to social issues in the Western civilization of, what Christianity had brought to the Western civilization, that's what made the orphanage, that's what made the education, that's what made the hospitals. That was it. And he was coming forth, that continues today with what Alex said about the point of the spear. We're still. That it was handed off, and we haven't dropped the spear, we haven't dropped the baton, we haven't dropped the ball. We're continuing to carry the good news of Jesus Christ. And this issue of be having freedom. I use this quite often. After World War II, you know, the church exploded even in America. Billy Graham. The thousands and thousands that were attended in the denomination I'm a part of, Southern Baptist, the theme in 1954 was a million more in 54. And they baptized over a million people that came to know Christ. And during that time, guess what else happened, guys? We were sending missionaries all over the world. Now what was happening in China? Guess what? The underground church and the mission work that had been done by missionaries in China continued after World War II, even with the Communist takeover. But it was undercover. It was in the house. Now, nothing stops the gospel. Nothing. I mean, the Book of Acts, that's the theme. The power of the gospel over all barriers. Economic, financial, you know, geographical, social. But missions takes place in freedom. And while America was sending out missionaries all over the world, China was there. They were growing. But so we're missional, and that's why we're at the point. I think that's why Satan hates us so bad, is because of freedom and missions. We want to do that and carry that on. And that's so important to be a part of. And so listen, if you want to be a part of that, you can make this call. 877-616-239-687-76162396 and give. [email protected] call and give. I should have said or give, but you can do both if you want. But you're talking about the premiums, and they're gifts. it's better to give than to receive. AFR has been given so much we want to give as well. So it's a packet of five booklets of the Constitution. the forward is written by Steven McDowell, who does all the tour guides with Tim and Wesley and Walker when they go to, D.C. or Williamsburg or Boston. And if you become a great commission partner and give $30 or more per month, you'll get those same five booklets of the Constitution. But you also get the wristband that says, celebrating 250 years as a country and also on the other side, in God we Trust. So, guys, what an opportunity it is. So make that call. 877-616-2396.
The United States is celebrating 250 years since its Declaration of Independence
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Brother Alex, I wanted to bring you into the conversation on the point that Pastor Bert just left off at celebrating 250 years, of our Declaration of Independence. within the historical recordings, that can be a, trying point in a nation's history. There's some civilizations, some nations that have preceded ours when they hit about that 250th year mark. Sometimes you see precipitous change and not always for the best as you consider and reflect upon us, having 250 years of our Declaration, which I often say that the Declaration of Independence is a vision and mission statement for our nation. The Constitution is implementation vehicle for the vision and mission of our Declaration. When you consider 250 years since of our Declaration of Independence, what are some of the things that come to your mind and heart concerning our country?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, Abe, thanks for asking. I mean, I think we are kind of like Israel when it says, there arose a generation that knew not Joseph nor Joseph's God. You know, Genesis 37 through 45 and Genesis 50. You know, God had raised up Joseph the coat of many colors, but he saved Egypt during the time of famine, and the favor of God was upon him, and by extension on the, the, people of Israel, but, the Jewish people. But eventually there was a drift. And I fear America. Not completely, but to a large degree, we're like this. There are masses of people. We're several generations into an America, and people just don't understand what made America America. you know, we hear endlessly democracy is at risk. An existential threat to democracy. Well, we're not a democracy. We're a representative republic. And that, that representation, that constitution, only makes sense if we acknowledge some moral guardrails. James Madison, often called the chief architect of the US Constitution, he said that it's only going to work for a moral and religious people. Now, praise God. What's happening? we're seeing such a spiritual hunger among young people, Abe, that we obviously, in all of our camps, our conferences, and it's just growing and growing and growing, especially even since the shooting of Charlie Kirk. But there is such a hunger to truly know about Jesus. And I'm thrilled. And job one. We're evangelizing people, but then we do talk about America. And folks, let me say this. exploring the Word, the Hamilton Corner. the disciples view, today's issues. Dr. Nurse, Mama, mornings with Jenna Ellis. Washington Watch with Tony Perkins. All of these programs that are touching millions of lives. It's all going forth. And yes, minds are being changed, hearts are being won, lives are being equipped, thanks to you. That's why we boldly, unapologetically, we say give. Let's partner together. Let's see God work through us collaboratively to save our nation. And here's the number. If you would please call it now while you're thinking about it. 877-616-239, 687-76-162396. America will not die. God is with us, and let's do this. Let's fulfill the mission.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Amen. 877-616-2396 is the number to call. 877-616-23 96 or you can give securely [email protected] that is afr.net never underestimate what your gift can do. Whether it is, you know, amount you may perceive it's small, an amount you may perceive as large. what God looks at is the heart as you give. And he has an amazing way of taking fish and loaves and feeding the masses with them. 877-6-16-2396. More Shareathon when we get back from this break.
>> Jeff Chamblee: Vice President Wesley Wildmon.
American Family Radio focuses on inform, equip and activate missions
>> Wesley Wildmon: Yes, regardless of my last name being Wildmon or not, I prayed specifically where God would have me. and so there were opportunities in different areas and things that I'm passionate about that I was interested in. And I laid the four or five opportunities out there before the Lord. I had coaching was an option. general business was an option. Landscape architecture was an option. Being a pastor was an option. And working at a Christian activist ministry like AFA was an option as well. And I laid those five or six before the Lord and prayed for three or four months toward the end of my college career. And, one by one, over the next five or six months in my senior year of college, God began to shut some doors and point me through other areas as a confirmation and to the point where it could not have been more clear that God was calling me to the work of afa and I had no selfish motive to try to climb a ladder or try to move my way up in any particular timeline or anything like that. I was just interested and passionate about the ministry that my pawpaw started back in 1977 and wanted to work in a ministry like AFA in order to push the mission forward. If you look at our mission statement to inform, equip and activate, I've noticed that there are many, many good ministries that do the informing, as it relates to Christian worldview. There's some that equip and they do a little better job with the equipping side of things. And I believe we do both of those exceptionally well. But I think what really sets American Family association apart and what really inspires me is the activate side of things. So inform, equip and activate. I believe the activate side side of what we do is an emphasis among the three. Although we do all three and doing that encourages me, encourages others and it fulfills a hole and a need that many Christians find in their journey of growing and discipling as a Christian. Because obviously we want to evangelize and share God's word. We want to see people get saved. But after that we have an opportunity to, with our time left on earth, to live out our beliefs and to be a good witness. Jesus said to occupy until he returns. And that's what we're wanting to do, is to occupy until he returns. And AFA does that or gives gives listeners and supporters an opportunity to do that more so than any other ministry that I can think of. And there's some really good ones out there. But the activate side of what we do is very special.
>> Don Wildmon: My name is Fern from Starkville, Mississippi. I've been listening to AFR for decades and been encouraged and inspired by the God honoring music, the Bible centered messages by David, Jeremiah and Adrian Rogers and John MacArthur and others. I've enjoyed hearing the sound family guidance given by Dr. Nurse Mama and James Dobson and the biblical worldview taught by David Wheaton, and the political commentary given by Abraham Hamilton iii. Understanding the Times by Jane Markell is also very good to hear and I appreciate all the things that I hear that keep my mind focused on God and positive things to hope for. Thank you so much.

Arkansas is the only state that's talked about in the Bible
Now, we just not too long ago got a pledge from an interesting place. And you know, the most interesting man in the world, Pastor Bert, is the accumulator of all things of interesting places. Where did we get a gift from that caused you to notate with your parents?
>> Bert Harper: Okay, we've already mentioned romance. Arkansas. How about Smackover, Arkansas? Arkansas is the only, you know, state that's talked about in the Bible. You knew that, right, Abe?
>> Abraham Hamilton III: No, I didn't know that.
>> Bert Harper: Noah looked out of the ark and saw. Okay, so, so here, here it is. I got more of those. You don't want to hear them. Okay. But anyway, Smackover, Alex, do you know where Smackover is?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, of course, everybody knows where Smackover, Arkansas is. It's right near El Dorado, Arkansas, and it's right near Carthage. Hey, there's a wonderful church called Maribel Hill Chapel. Maribel Hill Chapel. And they also have the Victory Bible Camp. I've been to both of those places, and when I was there to preach, I said, what?
>> Don Wildmon: Smackover?
>> Alex McFarland: what does that mean? And you'll notice there's oil wells down there. And this is what they told me. They said years and years and years ago, they struck oil and they had one of these oil derricks. And somebody said, how much oil? And they said it went smack over the top of the tower. And so that's what I was told. But I've been, hey, I give God the glory. You go to 2200 churches and you'll, you'll invariably go to Smackover, Arkansas, one of those times.
Alex preached in 50 states in 50 days
>> Bert Harper: Abe, did you know that Alex preached in 50 states in 50 days.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: No.
>> Bert Harper: Okay, yes. Let me give that number before we start this, but it's worth going to, since we're talking about geography just a little bit. 877-616-2396. Make that phone call and, be a part partner with us as we partner with others to make a difference. Trust in the Lord. Honestly, our whole purpose is to bring him glory. That's the whole purpose, and that's what we want to do.
Alex: Abe, you did 64 services in 50 states in 50 days
But, yes, Alex, tell Abe in the audience just a synopsis of 50 States in 50 Days. How did you do that?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, you know, we were just trying to illustrate the urgency that America come to Christ. And, so we did 64 services in 50 states in 50 days. I had nine people with me, two RVs, a minivan, sound system, a multimedia presentation. We, first we were in Honolulu on the beach in front of 3,500 people at the big statue of Duke Kahanamoku. We flew to Anchorage, Alaska. we were in Anchor Park Methodist Church. And then day three was Seattle, Washington, and down the lower 48. But, yeah, we, literally, 50 states, 50 days. And most of the Sundays we were in two. And once or twice, three churches, 64 services, 50 days. I'm itching to do it again. And it was just to, illustrate, and I would reiterate, it is urgent that we have an awakening, a revival. And folks, yes, we pray, but, you know, the book of James says faith without works is dead. And, look, I believe in, you know, trusting Jesus, obviously, but folks, how about we put a little bit of. Little bit of shoe leather in the game and give a gift. And I want to challenge you folks as you donate to say a prayer and say, dear Lord Jesus, revive America, and Lord, use me. I'm going to ask you to call this number. And folks, we ourselves, we give, we do, and we work, and hey, God is going to use us. 877-616-2396. Please call right now. You'll talk to a friendly voice. It will make your day. afr.net, you may give securely online. Brother Abe. Last week, Bert and I were on Exploring the Word, and a lady called in and she said, you know, back around Thanksgiving, she called for prayer for her unsaved brother, who at that time, I think was very antithetical to the gospel. And Bert and I kind of coached her on what to say, maybe. And, she called in last week, very emotional, and she said, I give God the praise she led her brother to Christ. Two days later, he passed, but he was saved immediately. A lady called in right after that, and she said, I remember that call. And we prayed for that lady's brother to get saved. So, you know, American Family Radio, Family being the operative word.
>> Bert Harper: Amen.
>> Alex McFarland: it is a family, isn't it, Abe?
>> Abraham Hamilton III: It certainly is. And what you're sharing concerning the urgency, is one that really, echoes the sentiment of my own heart, because the hour is far spent and the need is great. when you call 877-616-2396, and give your gift, you are supporting, the work that allows those kind of testimonies to happen. The number again is 877-616-2396. Or you can give securely [email protected] we have workers standing by to receive your call when you call 877-616-2396.
Alex: The need for biblical worldview is great. The urgency is there
And concerning that urgency, I'll, toss this to Pastor Burton and ask you to chime in thereafter. Brother Alex. I'm mindful of a lot of the data that our friend and brother George Barna, Dr. George Barna, put in his book Raising Spiritual Champions, that simply shows, such a tremendous dearth in, a biblical worldview being formed in our nation to where really amongst large swaths of young people, they really have a syncretistic kind of worldview as opposed to, being one based on the truth of God's word. And, it highlights the urgency in my mind at heart of our mission here at AFA and AFR being propounded with a zeal and a passion because the needs are so great. When you consider that urgency, Pastor Bert, what sticks out to you?
>> Bert Harper: When I hear it, it's generation. There's a tendency in the scriptures of what I call generational slide. That generational slide is demonstrated by David having a heart for God, Solomon have a half heart, and then rehoboam, no heart. You want to pass it on. The urgency is to pass it on. And, we do it biblically. let me tell you, the Bible is the word of God. And, that's why it's been under attack for so long. And that's why we at afr, when Jim Stanley, he goes through, he's. He's the one that gets, other ministries to join us and looks at their doctrine and everything. And several times he's asked me, hey, Bert, come along and let's look and examine that. And we look. Where do you stand on the scriptures? Okay. So the urgency is there. Now, how do we meet that urgency? Okay, it is a spiritual warfare. And that spiritual warfare goes into the home. It goes into the voting booth, it goes into Washington, D.C. satan has his minions. That's a pretty popular word these days, you know, in every strata of our society. And we, as men and women of God, we stand with the Word of God. The need is urgency. That's one of the pulpits of America. Listen, it's not talking about style. I'm pretty animated. Both of you guys know that. Others are a little bit more analytical and reserved. That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about the content of the Word of God, the Sunday school teacher, everybody getting out. So the urgency is there. And afr. And I agree with you, Alex, as you said, in one of the segments, we're at the point of the spear on that. We do want to share that. And, the urgency is there. That's why we do. And that's why we ask people to give at 877-616-2396.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Yeah, that number again is 877-616-2396. We have about six, minutes to go in the remainder of this hour. 877-616-2396 is the number to call or you can give securely [email protected], that is afr.net the urgency.
The midterm elections are coming up and AFR is calling for prayer
You know, I sense that urgency. It's heavy on my shoulders. I wake up with it. I go to sleep with it. because we're witnessing our nation. And you alluded to James Madison's reference, Brother Alex, John Adams said the exact same thing, that our nation is only. And specifically you talked about, our form of government is only conducive to. To a religious and a moral people. It is wholly inadequate to the governance of any other. there is an urgent need in our nation. While we have in God we Trust on our legal tender, the tenor of our culture says everything but that we trust in God. So when you think about that, in the status of our nation, I know that's one of the things that led you to want to preach in 50 states over 50 days. So when you think about that urgency, Brother Alex, what do you consider?
>> Alex McFarland: Well, that we all must do our part. You know, thank the Lord for, you know, David Jeremiah and Robert Jeffers and Franklin Graham, and, you know, we. We've lived alongside some great leaders. Praise the Lord. But folks, every last one of us, our voice, our vote and yes, Your contribution. And 877-616-2396 is the number. If you would call it right now. the minutes are ticking away in this hour, so please, if you would call right now, make a tax deductible financial investment. This is a contribution in the future of our country and the souls of people. And let me just say this and I'll throw it to both of you guys, the midterm elections are coming up and I would just beg, people even now to begin to pray. And you may be sure that leading up to the midterms AFR will be giving great truth, motivational, factual, eye opening data. a couple of weeks ago, Chuck Schumer, he said if the left prevails in the midterms the next two years, and these were his words, he said it will be a mission of vengeance. And you know, why the woke progressive, globalist, Marxist Democrat left wants to burn the house down, I don't know. But we are in a fight for religious freedom. Will we always have the latitude and the liberty to proclaim the Savior to our nation? I don't know. But we've got to preserve it. And I'll say this, I'll tell it to you guys. Our nation is 250 years old and America based on biblical truth. More liberty, more stability, more sustainability, more prosperity to any than any other thing in world history. And if America falls, it will be one of history's greatest tragedies. So we're all about seeing souls get saved. Absolutely. But we're all about the foundations of our country being preserved and restored. And it's going to take all of us be a part, please folks, be a part of what God is doing. Because I do believe God raised up AFR for such a time as this. You know, in the spirit of Esther 4:14, we are all here for such a time as this. And so give and let's together be used by God to save the nation, evangelize the lost and proclaim truth.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: 877-616-2396 is the number to call about two minutes left in this hour. 877-616-2390 or you can give securely [email protected] it is an inescapable fact that it is the truth of God's word. that that was the launching force, the impetus for what we commonly described as Western describe as Western civilization. There is no Western civilization without God's holy word. The discovery of the sacredness of life, the moving away from the barbarism for example, that the Greeks and even the Romans pursued. the civilizational standards that we have come to know and enjoy all flow from the truth of God's word. And a people that are captured by Christ is what creates a society that thrives in freedom. It doesn't happen in the reverse.
>> Bert Harper: Amen. And we want to go out in this hour saying, partner with us. We partner with other ministries that we want to share the good news of Jesus Christ. So when you make that pledge at 877-616-2396 or [email protected] you're partnering with us for the world to know Jesus and and for America to stand.
