Abraham Hamilton: Many of you are making transition from part time work

Abraham Hamilton III: Good evening. Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio. I'm your host, Abraham Hamilton iii. Right now, many of you are making that transition from your part time work to your full time work. although some of us, we have integrated that phenomenon in some states you might have been released. Now they're trying to pull you back in wherever you are, wherever you are. again I thank you for joining the program, but I want to make sure you understand that we all understand that what we do to generate an income that is not our identity. And I know we describe it as full time work, you know, based on hours in a week and so on, but I just want to let you know what you do for a living is a part time job. Your full time job is discharging faithfulness to the Lord and especially taking advantage of the opportunity to do so in a primary context that he has created for us within our families. This is our full time jobs. This is our full time job. All too often, we have sacrificed our families, many of us, many of us, on the altar of external faithfulness that we have turned our attention and our focus has been dedicated so much to making things happen outside of our families that we wake up to realize probably, hm, should have been more present when I was present. The scripture teaches clearly that when it comes to the offspring of children born into Christian families, it's not the church's job to make disciples of our children. It's not the school's jobs, especially the schools that systematically exclude the knowledge of God. How would they make a disciple, of the Lord Jesus Christ? It's the parents jobs with the fathers leading their families. So I know that's not politically correct. Abraham, did you just say fathers are to lead families? Yes, I did. Because my concern is that I am biblically correct, not politically correct. And if someone has a problem with God making men, or maybe more specific, you know, in this crazy time making husbands the head of their families, their issue is with God, not with me. I didn't create that idea. It is not my original thought. I am repeating what was orchestrated and ordained by the heavenly Father. And it just so happens, it just so happens that when we obey God's instructions, things go well with us. But when we don't obey God's instruction, well, let me say it this way, you can do your own research to see the impact of, I'll say it this way, headless homes. You can do your own research to see that the down the line implications not only for men, but for women. In case you don't know, men were once boys and women were once girls. Obeying God has great benefit for all of us. And so my encouragement is simply for us to re establish the biblical understanding generally and specifically as it pertains to the family. And when you understand the role you have within your home, you'll recognize man, this is the primary context for ministry. Do you realize that you have the opportunity to change the world by shepherding your family as well? You do, you do, you have the opportunity to literally change the world by serving well in your homes. And the unfortunate thing is that the God haters understand this. So much so that they work feverishly to make sure they box you and I out of having influence on our own children so that they dominate the shaping of the minds, hearts and the cultures for future generations. It's very easy to point at the craziness that's going on around us and say, look how bad things have gotten, but how much of what is happening right now has happened. With your consent. With my consent.

Mark chapter four tells the parable of the soils

To the Word of God we go. Mark, chapter four. Mark, chapter four, verses 13 through 20. This is where Yeshua the Messiah explained in private to his disciples his parable of the soils. You know, he told the parable in public. Then he pulled his disciples up close to him and asked him, do you understand what's going on here? And this is. We've been granted a peek into this conversation, because the Lord knew this would edify us. This is what the Word of God says, verse 13. And He, Yeshua said to them, do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the Word. And these are the ones along the path where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that is sown in them. And these are the ones sown on rocky ground. The ones who, when they hear the Word immediately receive it with joy. And they have no root in themselves, but endure for A little while. And then when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the Word, immediately they fall away. And others are the ones sown among thorns. They are those who hear the Word. But the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the Word, and it proves unfruitful. But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the Word and accept it and bear fruit 30 fold, 60 fold, and a hundredfold. Now, I'm pretty sure, just like me, you have probably heard, many people abuse this text to make it say things that are not being conveyed to us by the Scripture. The seed that was sown is not money. Jesus is explicit. Yeshua is explicit. The seed is the Word of God. The seed is the Word of God. And as he goes on to explain the various types of soil, he explains the seed that was sown along the path as those who hear the Word. But immediately Satan is able to steal the Word from them. Then he goes on to explain the rocky ground, the seed or the Word that is sown on the rocky ground. It's a parable. So it's representative of, of those people who hear the Word, and upon initial reception of it, they respond exclusively emotionally. Now, notice I said exclusively emotionally. Because there are some people who try to completely, eliminate the reality that God has given us emotions. If you listen to me for any length of time, you know, I say repeatedly that, emotions are a gift to us from God, but God did not give us emotions for them to lead us. Emotions are horrible generals, but they are tremendous foot soldiers. That's why the Lord tells us in His Word things like set your affections, that we have the capacity to direct, to aim, and to launch our emotions in a productive and a fruitful direction. But when we allow our emotions to get out of place, when they begin to drive our engagement, they dictate to us what we do, then our emotions have become disordered. The Lord has never given us emotions so that they lead anything. Why didn't you do this? Because I didn't feel like it, okay? I didn't ask you what you felt like. You know, this is also a part of the reason why I have such a great objection to the romantic comedy display of love. You know, people say, I fell in love. I fell out of love. Listen, you can't fall in and out of love. I've said it before. Love is an act of the will. It is accompanied by emotions, but it is an act of the will. One of the foremost demonstrations of love is commitment. That may not go to too many marriage conferences. I know people like to feel their way about. No, love is an act of the will. And before you say, yeah, but men are not emotional. That's not true. Have you ever watched a Saints game with a Saints fan who happened to be a man? Drew Brees. What are you. You'll never hear anybody saying, I really wish Drew Brees would throw a more accurate pass. You know, you ever saw a man on a golf course like Jeff Reed, oh, shake the nut. Or Jeff turns around and say, I lost that one, Jeff. I mean, I lost that one, Rob in the drink again? Of course not. Men have emotions. We express them differently, but we have them because all humans have them. Let me keep going. But the seed that was sown on the rocky grounds was representative of the people who hear the Word and receive it emotionally. But they have no root. See, if your relationship with the Messiah is exclusively emotional, it's very likely that it has no root. This is why I can say that there is no competition between the Word of the Lord and the Spirit of God, because it is the spirit of God that aids us in loving the Lord with our minds. But when emotionalism is the base of your relationship with the Lord, as the scripture says plainly, when difficulty comes tribulation or persecution. Notice those things are not identical. But tribulation or persecution. And guess what? The Bible says on account of the Word. Do you realize that there are persecutions and tribulations that come our way because of the word of God and our commitment to it? I know that messed some people theology up right now as well. Because some have been persuaded by charlatans that faith in Christ means you live life on flowery beds of ease. No ma' am. No sir. All who live godly will face persecution. Then Jesus goes on in his explanation and said, and others are sown among the thorns. They are those who hear the Word, but the cares of the world. The cares of this life and the deceitfulness of riches. So that's not even the acquiring, the obtaining of riches.

Why are you following Jesus? You remember when Jesus performed miracles

It is the deceitfulness of riches as well as the desires or the lust for other things. They choke the benefit of the Word in our lives, making it unfruitful. I. I want to ask a question. Why are you following Jesus? You remember when Jesus had performed miracles and specifically he turned the little boys fish po boy into food for thousands where they had leftovers. He crossed to the other side and Next thing you know, he gets on the other side of the body of water. The crowds continue to harass him, and Jesus turns to his disciples. Don't trip. Look, this is the ABE translation. Don't trip. They just want to. They just want a sandwich. These people are not following me because they are invested in me as the Messiah. They want me to fill their bellies. They want me to be the genie from the Aladdin movie so they can rub me whenever they want and so they can get another PO boy. But I'm asking you, are you following me because of your investment in who I am as the Messiah? Because, folks, we are living in a time where everything that can be shaken will be shaken in your allegiance will be exposed in this hour. So I want to encourage us to not be those who merely have an emotional affinity for the resurrected Christ. But we welcome the Lord to give us girth and depth and that we are grounded and rooted in him. Because without the Messiah, where else will we go for the words of eternal life?

Hamilton: I'm hearing people repeatedly say we gotta fight for God and country

Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton corner here on American Family Radio. There's a lot, a lot, a lot going on in the world. And I just, How can I explain this? Talking to people, and I've heard people say some things and, you know, my ears perk up. And, it's in conversations, especially with members of the family of God. And, I'm hearing I have heard something said repeatedly and in my heart I've had like. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What exactly are you saying? And what I'm referring to is, I'm hearing people repeatedly say things, you know, abe, you know, we gotta fight for God and country. You know, we gotta fight for God and country. You know, we gotta fight for God and country. And I'm saying he's saying that a little too quickly for me. You guys know, if you've listened to the program, I've explained idolatry biblically has been the communication, especially using the Old Testament examples, that when, it wasn't complete rejection of Yahweh worship, it was simply the elevation to the same Level of Yahweh as everything else. Other things, you know, throw a little Yahweh on top, a little ba. All Astrid. We put them all in a pot together. And I want to be clear. Everybody understands this. I remember when I, On the 4th of July, I tweeted out, I am grateful to live in the land that God has ordained for me to be born. When I quote Acts 17:26, that before time, God established the boundaries of our habitation and the times that we would live in. I mean, that. And the United States of America, I say it unabashedly, I say it with my chest, is the greatest nation in the history of the world. Having said that, the United States of America is not my God. I will just let that set in for a second, because my commitment to God supersedes and transcends any other commitment or affiliation in my life. And I would pray that you have the same standpoint. The reality is, it is our allegiance is to God. And because of God and his sovereign ordinance of the place of our birth and our rearing, or the place where we have migrated to legally, then we, as the Lord, commissioned the Hebrew boys. We seek the peace and the betterment of the place where God has planted us. And my wife. Actually, my wife was first. You know, I have a. I got a lot of books around my house, and now on my nightstand, I got a stack of the books. Those are the ones in queue at the moment. And, I had one in queue, and my wife kind of pulled it out before me, so she read it first, and then we were kind of discussing it together. And I have it now. but it's a book I've had for a while. It's titled Hitler's Cross, written by Erwin Lutzer, you know, the pastor emeritus at Moody Bible Church. And as I'm reading this book, I cannot help but recall conversations that I've had with people, things I've read. And I thought a lot of this stuff kind of seems similar in some ways. Now, let me be clear about something else. I don't want anybody to take anything about this conversation, to try to project it onto an issue about presidential elections or anything of that nature. What I am driving at today is really an introspection invitation to where our loyalties lie. Because there are some people who are saying we need to contend for God and country. What they're saying is that they want to fight for the American way of life. There are some people, not all. I know there are many people who use the Phrase I'm not. And I'm not even coming at the phrase. So don't think I'm trying to get people to stop using the phrase. But there are some who, when they use that phrase, their highest allegiance is to wanting to preserve the ability to have a 401k or the ability, you know, like Jeff, to go golfing, or the ability, you know, to m. Continue to have, you know, manual, I mean, automatic transmissions, air condition, and the type of existence where, you know, if you don't want to go to a restaurant, the restaurant will come to you with Uber eats and these kind of things. Y' all get what I'm saying? And if we're not careful and what I mean, careful, I mean, we should be students of history, but more importantly, students of the word of God. Because in the parable of the soils, you notice Jesus explained, oh, you know what that was that choked the Word, the cares of this life. It wasn't that it was an overt hostile military action. It was simply the cares of this life mounting to such a degree to where, it captured our attention and it boiled over to the lust of other things that it caused the word of God to be unfruitful for us. Now what am I driving at? One of the things throughout history, most of the time when you have dictators, the people that are subjugated by the dictators usually, usually, usually hate the dictator. But, you know, an exception to that was Adolf Hitler. Do you realize that Adolf Hitler was beloved by the German people, including the church? Yes, there were some in the church who resisted Adolf Hitler, but many of them did so only after it was too late. And they were an extreme minority in the church. If you know anything about the, you know, Hitler's ascendancy, you know that the German people were reeling from World War I. They felt like their nation had been crushed, their national identity had been crushed, and they were almost craving a strong man to come to power. They had even, concluded with the Weimar Republic that their experiments, even in democratic participation, only resulted in weak government. So they'd almost craved a strongman. And one of the things that they sought was for economic stability and security. The cravings were so strong that they even penetrated the church. And I'm gonna give you an example of what I mean. What I mean, I have a couple things that I'm just gonna pull out. I'm not gonna read the whole book, but I want to pull out a couple things for your benefit. So first, in his book, and many of you remember this many of you have heard about it, but Erwin Lutzer recalled his conversation, with, a man who was a Christian living in Germany during the Holocaust. And, the man shared his testimony, and he said this quote, I lived in Germany during the Nazi Holocaust. I consider myself a Christian. We heard stories of what was happening to the Jews, but we tried to distance ourselves from it, because what could anyone do to stop it? A railroad track ran behind our small church. And each Sunday morning we could hear the whistle in the distance and then the wheels coming over the tracks. We became disturbed when we heard the cries coming from the train as it passed by Jews like cattle in the cars, week after week, the whistle would blow. We dreaded to hear the sound of those wheels because we knew that we would hear the cries of the Jews en route to a death camp. M Their screams tormented us. We knew the time the train was coming, and when we heard the whistle blow, we began singing hymns. By the time the train came past our church, we were singing at the top of our voices. If we heard the screams, we sang more loudly. And soon we heard them no more. Years have passed and no one talks about it anymore. But I still hear that train whistle in my sleep. God forgive me. Forgive all of us who called ourselves Christians, yet did nothing to intervene. End quote.

Large swaths of the church failed to oppose Hitler's Nazification of Germany

Now, I know many of us have heard that before, and even many of us have heard the comparisons to the Holocaust in Germany, to the silent Holocaust in our nation with children. Who are being slaughtered in their mother's wombs. And hear me well, not everybody agreed with this. But those who opposed it were in the minority, by and large, brothers and sisters, I'm going to tell you the reason why large swaths of the church at that time failed to oppose Hitler's Nazification of Germany, including the church to where he replaced the cross of Christ with the broken cross of the swastika was because under Hitler, they had full tummies. Under Hitler, they were able to have an elevation of their national patriotic identity. And opposing Hitler ultimately was a risk of your life. But earlier on, they saw it as a way to make Germany great again. Just as this man's testimony says, they increased the volume of their voices. And as I said, they didn't want to mess up the good things that came under Hitler. You had many churchmen who marveled after Hitler became chancellor and seized all political power for himself that he did things socially that helped the Germans live better lives. So, like this Christian, they were willing to sing a little louder because the economic Status of the country was increasing. And isn't it remarkable, one of the primary reasons that are offered to normalize the intentional annihilation of children in the womb is that they're willing to sacrifice the child for the mother. It's remarkable. Well, I'll save that later. and I want you guys to hear this because we know many of the. And again, I'm not trying to paint with the Barbara. There were some who opposed this, but they were a gross minority. Do you realize that many of the SS troops, troops who committed the atrocities. Do you know most of those people went to church, Christian churches, they could be involved in untold atrocities during the week and gather for worship on Sundays. M. Because they had invested into a severance of morality. They what we would describe as biblical morality was merely a private matter in Germany. This is what their churches were teaching. But in his role in their roles as soldiers, there was a separate morality for the state. Does anybody notice in the United States of America there's a continuous push to make faithfulness to God a private thing. Some of these church attending soldiers would say things like this. As M. Hermann Goring said, quote, I have no conscience. Adolf Hitler is my conscience. It is not I who live, but the Fuhrer who lives in me. On August 30, 1933. Now remember 1933. This is before the true fangs of Hitler were revealed. But on August 30, 1933, Pastor Julius Luther, sir, gushed about Adolf Hitler. And he said this quote, Christ has come to us through Hitler. Through his honesty, his faith and his idealism, the Redeemer found us. We know today the Savior has come. We have only one task. Be German, not Christian. This is what the pastor said. We have one task. See, many of us may not be aware, but Hitler presented himself to the German people as a messianic figure. He would represent himself as if he was sent to be the savior of the Germanic people. And early on, many Christians agreed with him. Erwin Lutzer made this observation following this quote from pastor. Excuse me, from Pastor Julius Luther, sir. Erwin Lutzer said this quote. Today, pictures of this holy union between the German church and Hitler startle us. But in Hitler's day, being a good Christian involved being a good German nationalist. God and country were practically one and the same. Hitler said, if you want to serve God, you must serve the German state. I'll give you this quote, Erwin Lutzer is making an observation here, quote, the humiliating Treaty of Versailles, the communists and the liberal elite who believed in democracy all of these were seen as threats to Germany's recovery. Even for those who call themselves Christians, a, strong Germany was more highly valued than a strong gospel witness, unless the gospel, as was often the case, was reinterpreted to be a plea for loyalty to the German cause. The churches were so enamored with Hitler's successes. Now, this is talking about. Let me, let me explain. This is talking about soon after Hitler was made the chancellor. And when he became chancellor, he started making all kind of changes that, increased early on the socioeconomic status of the nation. Erwin Lutzer says this quote, the churches were so enamored with Hitler's successes that they did not pause to ask in whose name these benefits had come. They spoke of the political resurgence as a revival, a time of renewal and spiritual strength. The churches derived strength from the improved economy and giddy optimism about a new day for Germany. I am asking you, brothers and sisters, when we are engaging, when we are defending, when we are persuading, where do our allegiances lie? Chiefly, it doesn't mean that there has to be a rivaling between God and America. But I can tell you this. If God and country comes off of our tongues a bit too quickly, I would urge you to reprioritize that to where it's God, then country.

You are welcome to call and weigh in on today's program. And it's just one of those where I'm like, let's have a little bit of introspection. Because there's much about, not, only the fawning. I mean, the reality is people in Germany worshiped Hitler. He required worship. Including many in the church. Including many in the church. There's one more. I got a couple more m. I got so many, so much stuff I could share from this. But I won't have time to get to all of this. Share another quote with you from Erwin Lutzer. He wrote this while making overtures publicly in the beginning that Hitler wanted to, support the church's ability to be independent. In the beginning, he would privately have these kinds of conversations. This is what Erwin Lutzen says, quote, hitler spoke of both Protestants and Catholics with contempt. Convinced that, and listen to this closely. Convinced that all Christians would betray their God when forced, when they were forced to choose between the swastika and the cross. Hitler said this, quote, do you really believe the masses will be Christian again? Nonsense. Never again. That tale is finished. No one will listen to it again. But we can hasten matters. The parsons will dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us. They will betray anything for the sake of their miserable jobs and incomes. End quote. You see why I'm asking the questions that I'm asking here today. Hitler was able to seize on the Germanic people's hunger, literal hunger, seize on their desire for national identity and seize on their affinity for Hitler.

Jeff Chamblee: Hm.

Abraham Hamilton III: Hitler's friend Alfred Rosenberg literally blasphemed the church in proposing a national Reich Church of Germany. He had a 30 point program. But these are just a couple of the points from it that I want you to consider. Said, the national Reich Church of Germany categorically claims the exclusive right and the exclusive power of, to control all churches within the borders of the Reich. It declares these to be the national churches of the German Reich. It goes on. The national church demands immediate cessation of the publishing and dissemination of the Bible in Germany. The national church declares that to it and therefore to the German nation. It has been decided that the Mein Kampf is the greatest of all documents. It not only contains the greatest, but, but it embodies the purest and truest ethics for the present and future life of our nation. The national church will clear away from its altars all, crucifixes, Bibles and pictures of saints on the altars. There must Be nothing but Mein Kampf. To the germination, and therefore to God, the most sacred book. And to the left of the altar, a, sword. One more. On the day of its foundation, the Christian cross must be removed from all churches, cathedrals and chapels, and it must be superseded by the only unconquerable symbol, the swastika. You see why I'm having this conversation today? Do you see? And again, there were, there were a minority of Catholics, there were a minority of Protestants who resisted Hitler. I don't want to make it like it was everybody in the church, but they were a minority. Many saw Dietrich Bonhoeffer as a troublemaker. Many saw Martin Niemoller as a troublemaker who were deemed enemies of Germany because of their resistance to Hitler's Nazification of the church. And I want to reiterate, many of them, they felt the economic instability that followed World War I. Many of them wanted protection. I had Jeff to do a little digging for me, because I remember reading it. Do you realize among voters across the board in 2016, the top two issues that were issues for the voters were economic stability and national security. Now, that would be one thing if that was limited to voters in general. But you want to know what some of the top two issues were for Christian voters in 2016? Economic security. I mean, economic stability and national security. Now, listen, I'm a, man, I'm a husband, I'm a father. I want my economics to be stable. Don't misunderstand me. And, yes, you guys know how I talk about the threats to our national security, but the moment those things become equally as important to me as religious freedom, I have a problem. Y' all see what I'm saying? Now, before we get high on our horses, wagging our fingers at the German church, remember when I, was having the conversation a couple of weeks back, maybe I don't remember the exact day, but I was talking about the normalization of godlessness. You know, I've talked about the silent holocaust with abortion, but remember when we had the conversation? The Bible teaches us that fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, right? But we have accepted as normative a standard of education that excludes the knowledge of God. And many of us, why do we do it? Because we want our children to be smart. Many of us know the God know about the godlessness that reigns on most of the college campuses in our country. But we still send our children with our money. Why? Because we want them to have successful lives, prosperous lives. Have we not witnessed what the Godless brainwashing has done to our country, but we continue it. Folks, that is an example that gives you a little indication as to what many of. And they called them, the, the church members who embraced and endorsed and supported the Nazification of the church in Germany. They called them, quote, German Christians, unquote. So the ones like Bonhoeffer and Niemoller and others, they weren't German Christians, but the mainstream, they were called German Christians. Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti education. I, understand, you know, but I want you to, I want you to understand these are how these things happen. Remember, remember when Jesus described in the parable of the soils, when he described the seed, the word that fell, that was choked, it was the cares of this life. It wasn't a full on, you know, blitzkrieg of an assault. It was more tacit, it was more subtle. It was more.

You have these subtle incursions. Think about how for generations in our own nation

But this is important too, which I understand these things are important, but they are not more important. They're not more important. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we were talking about the wicked BLM organization, right? And I asked him, I said, now, if there was an organization that's. That said they want to do a feeding program, but you knew, it was a Nazi program, would you spout Nazi phrases just so you can get your children in the neighborhood fed? He said, no. I said, then why would you spot Marxist phrases? They have told us that they're trained Marxists. They have written about their Marxism on their website. Yet our nation is bending over backwards right now to try to prove, hey, it's like, it's like, you know, I'm not a partial, I'm not partial tag right, man. If you're not partial, why do you have to prove it to anybody? What I'm saying, folks, you have these subtle incursions. These subtle incursions. These subtle incursions until they're no longer subtle. Until they're no longer subtle. Think about how for generations in our own nation, instead of the church standing up with one voice condemning the subjugation of fellow image bearers, you had a church split. And I can tell you much m of the concern was not theological, it was economic. I'm not trying to stir the pot. I just want you to understand it was economic. But you had an entire secession that was so potent that today you'll have people that stand up, and say, oh, Abraham, the Civil War wasn't about slavery. It was about states rights. States rights to do what? So it had nothing to do with it. Then if that's the case, and I remember asking this question, if that's the case, then if slavery had nothing to do with the Civil War, then, then why was Jim Crow such an immediate response? Once Southerners were able to reestablish themselves in authority in the south, did Jim Crow just spring out of nowhere? Did Vice President of the Confederacy Stevens just happen to make up that it was the only nation that would be built on the cornerstoned, that the so called white man was superior to the so called black man? Did he just make that up? Folks, what I'm talking about, what I'm talking about, and I, I know I gave the phone number, I'm not going to get to. I'm not going to have time for calls. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But I want you to understand, I want you to understand the encroachments are never a blitzkrieg. Initially. They're always incremental to the point to where they're nearly, imperceptible. And then the next thing you know, you have Jim Crow. The next thing you know, you have German Christianity. The next thing you know, you have deemed Bonhoeffer an enemy of German Christianity. It doesn't mean that economics not important, but economics are not more important than the Lord. You had German theologians who argued for eliminating the Old Testament because of its Jewish influence and described Apostle Paul's teaching as a perversion of Christianity. You had German Christians who, in spite of Bonhoeffer's pleading with them, they would sign documents of allegiance to Adolf Hitler because they did not want the greatness disturbed. And in case you haven't noticed yet, things are getting hot in our own country against the cross of Christ. And my question for the remnant, this is a real question for the remnant is will we be able to stand or will we be like those who Jesus discussed, who received the Word with joy?
