Abraham Hamilton III: Many of you are making transition from part time jobs
Welcome to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I'm the host of this program, joined by the Corner contingent right across from me, my man, 100 grand, Mr. Bobby Rosa. And in the screening room, producer extraordinaire. Often imitated, but never duplicated, the real J. Mac. Ladies and gentlemen, we are ready to, ready to rock and roll with today's edition of the program. At this very moment to, many of you, if not most of you are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income to your full time job where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on the family. I also, pray that you enjoyed a wonderful day celebrating our Lord's resurrection, which is the defining moment in all of human history, not least to mention Christian history. The resurrection is the linchpin of all things concerning Christ. As the apostle Paul so appropriately put it that if Christ is not raised, then we are still dead in our trespasses and sins. But he continues on in 1st Corinthians 15 to say, but he is raised. He is risen. Glory be to his wonderful name. As I've said before, I will continue to say my prayer for the body of Christ is that our Lord's resurrection is not something that we limit to be celebrated, during Passover in April, but that it is, what animates our living day by day that we live life in light of our King's resurrection in anticipation of his return. And one of the major features of that is recognizing that the first institution that our God created was the family with marriage at the center. It's not a coincidence that the only human, ah, institution, ah, illustrative of Christ and his church recorded in the scripture is the marital union. And the marital union is the foundation for the family. It's also not a surprise that the primary institution responsible for the generational investment in building God's kingdom is the family. With a husband and a father, a man joined to his wife with the command to be fruitful and to multiply. That fruitfulness and multiplication was not merely meant to be a biological reality, was also meant to be a spiritual reality that follows the creation order of everything reproducing after its own kind. The kind that mankind was commanded to reproduce, was the kind of mankind that walk with our God in the cool of the day, that were joined and relationship and the type of intimacy that provoked any straying or any interruption in that intimacy that provoked the question, where are you, Adam? Where are you? So as you're making your transition to your full time job, remember that what goes on in your house is far more important for you than what goes on in the White House. Far more important for me. I cannot control how long Operation Epic Fury takes place, but I can control how much I will invest myself in executing my king's commission, starting right in my own family. You have the similar opportunity and privilege to make the prerogative for your life's mission and work to be executing our king's commission. With that, to the word of God we go.
Today we're going to go to 2nd Samuel, chapter 9,
Today we're going to go to 2nd Samuel, chapter 9, 2nd Samuel, chapter 9. There are only 13 verses in that chapter, so we will read that entire chapter while, you know, all kinds of things are happening. you have, as I alluded to the, the Operation Epic Fury continuing on. You have the, the rescue mission of our, downed airmen in Iran. I mean honestly, it's the stuff that movies are made out of, you know, that, that demonstrated for the world something that I want to dig into a little bit concerning the American commitment to refuse to leave a man behind. That is something that is, that is, unique in our current world. It flows from a worldview, that is not an atheistic Marxist worldview. It doesn't flow from a disposition of a Xi Jinping, you know, or, or of a Chavez and Maduro and you know, any of these other gods. It's a, it's a uniquely American phenomenon.
David seeks out Jonathan's son to be kind for Jonathan's sake
I want to dig into that a little bit, as we have the, the Artemis 2 mission, you know, breaking the Apollo's record, having the humans to travel the furthest from Earth. But it's important that we refuse to allow those things to supersede our needed reliance upon God and his holy word. With that second Samuel, chapter 9, verses 1 through 13. Just by way of context, David is at this point in the scripture solidified in his rulership, over all of Israel. And what you're going to see in this text, is that he seeks out Jonathan's son, his friend Jonathan's son, whom he loved as a brother, to be unnecessarily kind to him in fulfillment of the commitment he made to Jonathan. And I will give you some cross references as we go through it. Second Samuel, chapter nine, verse one. This is what God's word says. Then David said, is there anyone. Is there yet anyone left of the house of Saul that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake? Now there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. And they called him to David. And the king said to him, are you Ziba? And he said, I am your servant. The king said, is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God? And Ziba said to the king, there is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet. So the king said to him, where is he? And Ziba said to the king, behold, he is in the house of Mahir, the son of Amiel and Lo Debar. Then King David sent and brought him from the house of Machir, the son of Amiel, from Lo Debar. And Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and prostrated himself. And David said, mephibosheth. And he said, here is your servant. David said to him, do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul, and you shall eat at my table regularly. Again he prostrated himself and said, what is your servant that you should regard a dead dog like me? Then the king called Saul's servant Ziba and said to him, all that belonged to Saul and all his house I have given to your master's grandson. You and your sons and your servants shall cultivate the land for him, and you shall bring in the produce so that your master's grandson may have food. Nevertheless, Mephibosheth, your master's grandson, shall eat at my table regularly. Now Ziba had 15 sons and 20 servants. Then Ziba said to the king, according to all that, my lord, the king commands his servants, all that the king commands his servant, so your servant will do. So Mephibosheth ate at David's table as one of the king's sons. Mephibosheth had a young son whose name was Micah or Micah, and all who lived in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth. So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate at the king's table regularly. Now he was lame in both feet. A couple things I want to point out, you know, first of all, I have to say it is utterly disgusting and despicable when people try to pervert the scripture to subordinate, be subordinate to their political agendas. Evil people have tried to twist the friendship and the brotherhood that David and Jonathan shared into something abominable. And it's gross and it's sick. It's just as perverted, if not even worse than the perverting of one's bodies to do what the scripture says, should not be done, dishonoring one's bodies. Even worse, that they would seek to twist God's holy word to fit their agendas. David and Jonathan shared a friendship and a brotherhood. And one of the things that has been a casualty of this, this feminized society that we live in is that we've been stripped of the type of fraternal relationships that men enjoy, that men share, that men need in order for iron, to sharpen iron till we have masculine affinity, respect and love for one another. That has nothing to do with any type of homosexual erotica. That's disgusting. What I'm saying is disgusting is to rob our society of the authentic, necessary display of, fraternal masculinity. The scripture says a brother is born for adversity. The scripture talks about the necessity of men sharpening one another. It's ridiculous to have these assertions. David clearly was a heterosexual man. Jonathan clearly from the scripture, clearly was a heterosexual man. All right, let me move on from that.
David promised to show kindness to Jonathan's offspring when he became king
So what's happened here? One of the things you want to cross reference is 2nd Samuel, chapter 4, verse 4 in particular, because what happened in that passage is word got back to Saul's household that both Saul and Jonathan had passed. They were killed in battle. And Jonathan's son Mephibosheth was 5 years old at the time. When one of Jonathan's servants heard about Jonathan being struck down, she picked up Mephibosheth in haste and sought to run and escape. Five year old Mephibosheth fell and became handicapped in both feet, no longer able basically to walk from 5 years old, and continued for the remainder of his life. All right, Another cross reference, 1st Samuel, chapter 20. Because of Jonathan and David's friendship, brotherhood and love for one another, though Jonathan was the crown prince of Israel, Jonathan loved God more than he even loved himself or his own prospect of becoming the second king of Israel. So though he was the oldest son of Saul, the Crown prince of Israel. Jonathan believed God's word through Samuel that David was supposed to be the next king of Israel. Jonathan believed in David's kingship. Jonathan simply asked David that when you become king, will you break the trend that usually happens with carnal monarchical transitions? One of the bloodiest times in any nation's history is when one monarchial successor arrives or ascends to the throne. Because usually they would seek to consolidate power and eliminate any potential threats to their throne, which David, being not a biological relative of Saul, would have naturally sought to eliminate Saul's household in an effort to solidify his throne. But David recognized that he would only be king because of Yahweh's divine providence, and so he needed not to use physical violence to secure his throne in that same fashion. So he promised to show kindness to Jonathan's offspring and refused to eliminate the entirety of Saul's household. So when we get to Second Samuel chapter nine, we're seeing David fulfill that promise. A couple things I want you to note from the text. In Second Samuel chapter nine, David initiated this pursuit and the search for descendant of Saul's household. David initiated the search that brought him face to face with Jonathan's offspring with Jonathan's son Mephibosheth. The scripture is intentional in noting Mephibosheth's m paralysis. There's nothing that Mephibosheth could have done to benefit David, but David showed kindness to him nonetheless, which reveals a lesson for us. One of the demonstrations and the evidences of our character is how we treat people, what kindnesses we show to people that can do nothing for us. When people are kind to people expecting a quid pro quo, that's often manipulation. But character is revealed and kindness is offered when there's no expectation of any return.
First John, chapter one, beginning at verse one
a discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
>> Joseph Parker: First John, chapter one, beginning at verse one. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled concerning the word of life, the life was manifested and we have seen and bear witness and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us. That which we have seen and heard, we declare to you that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. In these things we write to you that your joy may be full. This is the message which we have heard from him and declare to you that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we Say that we have no fellowship with him. We walk in darkness. We lie and do not practice the truth.

Two US Airmen were downed in Iran on Friday; one was rescued
All right, I want to begin with just the discussion of this, amazing, search and rescue mission that took place and it culminated really on resurrection Sunday morning, early in the morning before dawn, where we had two US Airmen that were downed. one was immediately rescued, the pilot was immediately rescued. But there was a weapons specialist, who remained in Iran for quite some time before they were rescued. they were a part of a two member crew, on an F15E Strike Eagle fighter jet. F15E Strike Eagle fighter jet that, the Iranians were able to down. You know, President Trump talked about it. Oh, they got lucky. That's what President Trump said. we fly thousands of flights over Iran. describe that how you want. I think if you're in a war zone, you should treat it as such. That's just my perspective on it in terms of that. but it was amazing, what was reported as to what transpired. And I want to talk a little bit about the, uniqueness of the American military resolve to refuse to leave a man behind, contrary to Ice Cream man administrations notwithstanding. Ice Cream man administration is not withstanding. I don't seem to believe that they adhere to that same type of ethos. But here's a brief report on it, then I'm going to kind of dig into some of the details that are not included in this report. Listen, to. And watch clip number four.
>> Speaker D: Clip four, Go Video this morning purports to show the smoldering wreckage of two US C130 transport planes that were involved in the rescue mission on a remote base in Iran. Sources tell us American forces blew them up in order to avoid them falling into enemy hands. Standard US Military practice. US Officials and White House sources describe a, complex operation involving dozens of US commandos and several dozen warplanes and helicopters in the search and eventual rescue of the missing F15 crew member. Attack helicopters and aircraft kept Iranian forces from getting anywhere near where the crewman was hiding. Armed Iranians had been scouring the mountainous terrain to find him first with the promise of a huge cash reward. But a Trump administration official tells CBS News the CIA was deeply involved, not only in the hunt, but in a ploy to spread false information inside Iran that US Forces had already found him and were transporting him by ground out of the country. The race to find the two man F15 crew began on Friday. The pilot was rescued within hours of the fighter jet being brought down. He sustained some injuries. We've learned the second crewman is seriously wounded, according to President Trump.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Yes. So that gives you an overview of what all transpired. As I mentioned, an F15E Strike Eagle fighter jet, was downed by the Iranians. Both the pilot and the weapons specialist were able to eject from the downed plane as, according to reports, it was flying over the Isfahan province in Iran. but while the pilot was able to be rescued relatively soon, the weapons specialist was not. So he had to hide in the mountainous region between crests of rocks while awaiting rescues. Now, what many of you might expect. U.S. air crews, are trained in survival, evasion, resistance, and escape techniques. I don't know how do you pronounce that acronym, but it's sear techniques. If down behind enemy lines. But we don't have, only. We only have few airmen who are fluent in, Farsi or speaking the Persian language. And they have to face the challenge of remaining undetected prior to rescue. According to reports, the rank of the weapons specialist who were surviving in the rocks of the Mount Iranian mountains, held the rank of colonel, but he also had severe injuries that included, an ankle sprain. An ankle sprain. The airman was able to establish contact with US Military. He was able to authenticate himself, which was a necessary step to make sure that we don't send our commandos into a trap. All right, so he was able to authenticate himself to make sure that everybody understood that. Yes, I am the, weapons specialist who would. Who was in the F15E, that was downed, as you heard in the report. And this is. It's amazing to see how these things work together. The CIA ran a deception campaign earlier in Israel in an effort to try to. Israel and Iran, in an effort to try to confuse, Tehran by planting misinformation, frankly, that the US Forces had already found him and were trying to get him out of. Out of country, on ground. On the ground. But in addition to that, our military took steps, more steps to jam electronic devices, bombing key roads around the location where, our serviceman was located to prevent anybody from getting close to him. And then we eventually sent aircraft to extract, the airman, who apparently is a colonel, So I refer to him as the colonel, obviously keeping his name out of the media for now, for good reasons, of course. they sent aircraft to extract the colonel and rescue forces through a much smaller, turboprop. Turboprop aircraft, which is capable of landing on small airfields. It was relatively light.
Benjamin Franklin: President Trump tweeted after successful rescue mission for downed airmen
One thing to note stateside that President Trump and the Pentagon and the White House were all silent while this all was transpiring. So much so that you had a reporter that went to Walter Reed to see if President Trump was at the hospital, because they're like, he's not. We getting any chatter or anything, which is interesting. But once the mission was complete, President Trump emerged and began talking again. And we'll talk about the tweet that President Trump sent out early in the morning. But what some people don't realize is the tweet was sent. Oh, I'm sorry. The truth social post was made on Resurrection Sunday morning, soon after. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not justifying some of the verbiage that was used, but President Trump sent that post out after it was solidified that we had rescued our airmen. So people need to understand that this, this is what was happening, that you have complete silence. Clearly, President Trump was pensively awaiting, the successful rescue mission for our, down downed airmen, out downed colonel, that said, when, when our commandos went to get him and they flew in and the smaller aircraft, they initially encountered intense resistance. But one of the, one of the things that that happened, unfortunately, is that the aircraft that they came in on to extract ended up having mechanical failures, mechanical issues initially. So that, that is what contributed to. And it was, they, they flew in on MC130s. MC130s. And there were four additional helicopters inside. And so when you had the mechanical failure on our aircraft that initially landed, that led to our soldiers destroying it, which is protocol until they had to await additional rescue subsequent to that. Now I'm explaining all of this where you have the down airmen having to survive, to rely on his training, to stay hidden yet remain in contact with our military personnel. You have to have our commandos to able to get in and get out. I mean you can imagine the tension all across the board. But what I want to highlight for you is that that type of rescue mission is something you will never hear from m places like Russia. You never hear from places like China or Cuba or Venezuela or any of the other places because they do not value life the way that the United States of America values life. And as much as people in our country, some of the people who hate, God in our country want to try to sever our nation from our biblical moing. you, you simply cannot do it because you don't have enough machetes. You see, our military operates with an ethos of leaving no man behind. Because the underpinning ideology in our country is that we value human life. Now I know not every single you United States citizen values human life as I'm saying it, but it is the overarching ethos of our nation which has permeated our military. The culture in our military is that if you tell our, service members that they will willingly voluntarily leave a man behind, you're gonna have a fight on your hands. You're gonna have a fight on your hands because as much as you wanna escape it, ideologies are anchored in worldviews. Worldviews are anchored in theological commitments. Politics is nothing more than the externalization of one's theological leanings. And I am exceedingly grateful. I continue to put myself in a position, I'm a father. I have a friend of mine whose son literally just went off the boot camp, 18 year old son just went off to boot camp in the United States Army. And I put myself in a position, of what if that was my son? How I will be praying around the clock, inviting the believers around me to pray around the clock. And it's a moment that I believe it's worth taking a pause and reflect on. The reality of that type of commitment is not merely about, you know, military prowess. You know, it's not merely about barking dogs and our dogs bark louder and bite harder than yours. That there is a, a sanctity of human life that undergirds that ideology. We have the theological example of our Messiah, for the sake of the one that he left in 99. Not to abandon the 99 forever, but to make sure the fold remains complete. That's a uniquely American phenomenon that is developed based on a uniquely biblical principle. This is the reason why I'm pointing this out is for the same reason that I read through the entirety of Benjamin Franklin's speech the other day on the program that people want to try to shove, shove, into the side and cover over and hide and conceal these types of commitments, but you can't because it continue to pop out. So I'm grateful, grateful that such a phenomenon was able to take place. And once again that I'm, I'm hopeful that this will be a reminder to our nation as to how life should be valued in our nation. I'm hopeful that will happen.
Jeff Shreve was troubled by President Trump's Easter social media post
Now as I mentioned that, that our colonel was retrieved near dawn resurrection Sunday morning. And I'm continually asking for prayers for our, for our nation, for our president, for our service members, because we need it, man. We need it. We know what the scripture says. And I'm grateful that we have the most potent military force in the world, full stop. But we know the scripture says that a war horse is a false hope for salvation. We need to live according to what we know to be true. Now, while I was exceedingly grateful for the rescue mission, I got to tell you man, I was greatly troubled by the early morning true social post by President Trump. And again, and I understand that he's posting this under the immediate perception of having one of our US Airmen down and behind enemy lines who serves him. He's the Commander in chief of our armed forces. And I can imagine him pacing in the White House as the rescue mission is being executed. Then when we finally got our man back, I can understand this, But it also struck me that the particular word choices on Resurrection Sunday morning and then, and I do believe it was a bit of effort of trolling when referring to Allah. I understand that, but I think you could have communicated similarly without using those words. And I know, I know President Trump is not known for being, you know, the most eloquent spokesman, but I have to be honest with you all that it did bother me that that type of verbiage and, and, and really, disconnect from the moment was prevalent. It's not something that I'm going to, mull over. You know, I'm not gonna, you're not gonna catch me tomorrow talking about this, you know, but it's something that I was like, man, it rubbed me the wrong way. And yes, it's because I'm a Christian. I believe Resurrection Sunday is a sacred and a solemn time that I would prefer for our commander in chief not to pop that off at 7 in the morning on Resurrection Sunday, weekday mornings at 8 Central. President Trump says Iran came to him with a proposal but it wasn't good enough
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. Earlier this afternoon President Trump was stopped by a press gaggle and he had among the things he posted on Truth Social and he previously stated that the his deadline is tomorrow, 8pm tomorrow. And he said the power plants electrical grid and seemed to expand it to all of Iran. That y' all have until tomorrow at 8pm or else. Well, during his brief stop, and this is going to be a brief clip, President Trump indicated to our media that Iran came to him with a proposal, but he said it wasn't good enough. Listen to and watch clip number five. Clip five, go. What do you think?
>> Speaker F: The military proposal? They made a proposal, and it's a significant proposal. It's a significant step. It's not good enough, but it's a very significant step. They have made the negotiating now, and they've made a very significant step. We'll see what happens.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: So that's what he's saying. They're negotiating now. And then the questions I had, you know, according to reports, he was negotiating with, I think, Magdi, I think, is his name the supposed moderate. You got to put the air quotes on that. I mean, what. What to an. A Shiite twelver is a moderate. You know, what's moderate? Yeah. well, I won't decapitate you, but I'll stab you in your heart. You know, what's that? Whatever. I don't know what that is, but that's what they're describing him to be. The question I have is because earlier today there were reports saying Iran rejected any type of negotiations, but later in the day, they're negotiating, apparently. And I said this to Bobby was like, who are you negotiating with? Is it Magdi? And if he's. Is. If he's the parliamentarian, like. Like he's in Parliament. Does he truly have control over the irgc? You know, now you have these statements that have been made. President Trump has used terminology, obliterated. We've done this, we've done that. But the Iranians still seem to be popping off firecrackers somehow. There are lots of conversations of what has happened. And don't misconstrue what I'm saying. I believe that the bombing campaigns have been massively effective, but I think the potential also exists that many underestimated what all Iran had, because there are reports now that said that the US has been able to destroy a third of the Iranian ballistic stockpile, while they believe an unspecified amount is buried in rubble and in tunnels that they may not have immediate access to. but what percentage of the Iranian ballistic capabilities have been truly destroyed? And I don't. I don't think you can have a comprehensive battle damage assessment, you know, just flying over the. Over in the air, you know, that. That's just. I'm just saying that seems Logical to me. But if you're negotiating, and, this is my perspective, I don't know how you negotiate with radical Twelver Shiites. I don't know how you negotiate with them. Lying is something that they don't have a problem doing. And then you also have this. Yeah, you know, this fascination and fixation upon death, which is only security they have, you know, so how do you negotiate in that regard? You know, and the security. I'm talking. Their perceived security is not legitimate, real security. So how do you. How do you do that? My perspective on this whole thing, I mean, now that we There. That way, now that we are there, and I am not in favor of boots on the ground. I've said that, and, I'm not changing on that. But I can tell you one of the biggest disasters that would transpire is if we leave there and six months, a year later, Iran is back doing what they've been doing, that would be a gigantic, gigantic failure. So my thoughts are, man, do what you got to do. Do what you got to do. Get it done. You know, take. You know, take the. The brakes off, if there are any brakes on. You know, President Trump is saying they're gonna. They included bridges, you know, power plants, electrical grids, and all that kind of stuff. I'm not saying be reckless. Don't be reckless. But I'm saying. I. I don't. I don't. This is me. I don't understand if. If these people are adhering to this. This Twelver Shiite ideology, which clearly they have been. The regime has been to date. I am uncertain as to how they could have a, parliament member that they would abide who would be a, quote, unquote, moderate. Now, is it impossible? Is it possible? Sure, I think it's possible. Is it likely, though? That's the question I'm asking. Is it likely? Since you're there, and praise be to God, we have not suffered more casualties than we've suffered, to date, according to CENTCOM Central Command, that there have been 13 United States, American military members who've lost their lives during this Operation Epic Fury. I pray that we don't lose another life, but we have got to. We have got to obliterate this capacity for this terrorism to continue. Since we're there now. Since we're there now. You know, the president said we'll be there two to three weeks. That's what he said last week. Two to three more weeks.
President Trump says we are obliterating Iran and that the American people would prefer
He also, made these comments which I thought were, interesting. He said Quote, we are obliterating that country. And I hate to do it, but we're obliterating. And they just don't want to say uncle. They don't want to cry, as the expression goes, uncle. But they will. And if they don't, they'll have no bridges, they'll have no power plants, they'll have no anything. I won't go further because there are other things that are worse than those two. Then he continues, quote, if I had my choice, what would I like to do? Take the oil. Because it's there for the taking. There's not a thing they can do about it. Unfortunately, the American people would like to see us come home. If it were up to me, I take the oil, I'd keep the oil, I'd make plenty of money and I'd also take care of the people of Iran much better than they're being taken care of. It's been horrible in quote, I'm saying. So you saying if you could do what you want to do. Last time I checked, he's commander in chief, is he not? He is, but he seems to be indicating that what would be required to do what he's saying he would want to do may be beyond our ability to immediately leave Iran or as quickly as possible. It seems to me, based on his comments. And again, I don't want to read too far into it, but when he says, unfortunately the American people would like to see us come home, that makes me think that he's looking at polling numbers and other things to help come to his conclusion. I could be wrong about that, but that's what it seems like to me. I think the American people would prefer that we get the job done that you've articulated to the American people and then come home and whatever needs to be done to get that job done, get it done, get it done. Because I think it's a far worse concern. And this is one of the things I said at the very beginning, it's far worse if we leave and there's somebody else that, that ascends to the leadership in Iran and they're just like, if not worse than Khomeini. We go through all of this and this is just reality because Operation Midnight Hammer, the commentary was we've obliterated their nuclear program. Well, Operation Epic Fury is pursued because they report saying that they still trying to pursue nuclear weaponry. So obliterated means something. You can't keep saying obliterated if it's not obliterated. So we'll see. As he said, there's negotiations underway. And I think President Trump's inclination is that he wants to do a deal. I think more than anything, he wants to do a deal. That's his, his, his thing. He's a deal maker. He wants to do a deal. But I, I am concerned that he wants to do a deal with a group of people that deals are not what they do. The only deals they do is, heads, I win, tails, you lose. That's the deals that they do, you know, send me pallets of cash and we're going to keep on enriching, unfreeze money through sanctions. We're going to keep on enriching. I'm concerned that he's dealing with people that doing a deal is not within their makeup.
Artemis 2 mission reportedly broke Apollo 13 distance record for human travel
All right, in addition to that, earlier today, reports from Artemis 2. It is amazing, and I know it's been going on longer than I've been on the air, but what, what is NASA's fascination with naming things after the Greeks? You know, Artemis to Apollo, this, you know, Anyway, Gemini, yeah, Gemini. I ain't talking about your cousins. What is going on with that? Well, today it was reported that the Artemis 2 mission broke Apollo 13 distance record for human travel from the Earth. Eclipsed the record by over 4,000 miles. according to the report that the Artemis II mission is traveling a similar trajectory, kind of like a figure 8 in space, as they crossed to view for the first time in human history, portions on the dark side of the moon. There are reports right now that Artemis 2 has lost contact temporarily. but there's some. I have some recording from earlier today as, they, eclipse this record. This is going to be a longer clip. Listen to. There's a little bit of video, but it's from the, the broadcast that NASA was providing earlier. Listen to and watch clip number six. Clip six, go.
>> Speaker F: We will continue our journey even further into space before Mother Earth succeeds in pulling us back to everything that we hold dear. But we, most importantly, choose this moment to challenge this generation and the next to make sure this record is not long lived. Thank you, Houston.
Hamilton Corner astronauts propose names for lunar craters that have not been previously named
We have a couple more things, we'd like to take this moment for. our science team, helped us out with a couple of relatively fresh craters on the moon that have not been previously named. And our crew would like to propose a couple of potential names for those items or those areas. And we spent a bit of time, this morning looking out the window and were able to see them now both with our naked eye and through the long lens. And so we Feel this is a good time to send this down and a special shout out to Kelsey for helping us with this. The first one we'd like to suggest is a named crater in honor of our great spacecraft Integrity. And so if you were to look at Oriental on the far side and then draw a line straight up to Ulm on the far side, relatively in the middle is an unnamed crater. And we would like to suggest it be called Integrity in the future. And the second one, and especially meaningful for this crew is, is a number of years ago we started this journey in our close knit astronaut family and we lost a loved one. Her name was Carol and we would like to call it Carol. And you spell that. C A R R O L L.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: The voice that you heard was Jeremy Hansen. He is the one, the sole Canadian that's a part of the mission. you know, I understand that they want to give, you know, express appreciation. Jeremy Hansen I'm talking about, but you know, you know, the Earth is not our mother. It's not my mother. Okay. but I, you know, that's, you know, that's how, yeah, but Victor Glover, Reed Weissman, Christina, Koch and Jeremy Hansen are. The four astronauts comprise the Artemis II mission. Victor Glover said many, many, many profound things. But the one thing that I want to mention, and I'm not sure everybody realizes this, that this Artemis 2 mission is meant to be a contribution to another mission that will transpire two years later where they're seeking to put boots
>> Speaker F: on
>> Abraham Hamilton III: to land on the moon near the moon's south pole, which has never been done before. So this is a lunar mission that's employed in pursuit of a subsequent lunar mission. And then they're ultimately hoping and planning, to build another space station, potentially on the moon. So this is being described in this fashion. it's interesting how all of this is happening. according to the reports, the, the space flight will continue for another four days and then they're expected to land, in the Pacific Ocean. That is an interesting, interesting deal. So we'll, we'll see how this all unfolds. I, have some quotes and things from, from Victor Glover that I plan to get to. But y' all hear that disrespectful music. so Lord willing, we may get to that tomorrow. And share a thumb. Starts tomorrow. So starting tomorrow we will have the Spring 2026 Shareathon edition of the Hamilton Corner tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday evening. And by God's grace, we will be here for you. I pray you all have a wonderful evening. let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Never forget that the Lord has ordained you and me for this moment. Let's not miss our moment. Let's be about our Father's business. Leave it all on the field. And once we're done here, we have eternity in the tangible presence of our Lord before us. The views and opinions expressed in this
