>> Abraham Hamilton III: what transpires at the White House. Where are we? Whereas in our homes we are directly involved and engaged. And so I say what goes on in your house is far more important than what goes on in the White House because you and I have a mandate and a responsibility to execute our King's commission starting first in our homes. Every show that we start, share thon included, we turn to God's holy word because we cannot engage in the world around us effectively nor sufficiently if we try to do so by putting our, our Bibles on the shelves. But we must utilize God's Word. See what God has revealed about himself in His Word, what God says about mankind in His Word, and how he requires his people to, to engage. He lines all of that out for us in his holy word. And today is no exception.
James chapter two, verse 26 says faith without works is dead
We're going to begin the program in James, chapter two. James chapter two, verse 26. And we're turning here, because there are things that are happening, before even stepping in the studio. I came on at four, a little earlier than normal, but President Trump seems to be holding fast to his 8pm deadline in Iran. You know, we need to, and I've been saying this repeatedly to pray for our leaders, to pray for our nation, to pray for our servicemen and women, because this is a critical time, a critical time that we are living in. And so that is commanded, of us in Scripture. And In James chapter 2, verse 26, the Word of God says this. For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. I'll read it again. For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead. Now some m have asked what can that mean? Because we have the teaching from the Apostle Paul, for example, that explains that we are saved by grace through faith. Yet the apostle James, the brother of Jesus, half brother, naturally speaking, is saying faith without works is dead. So how do you reconcile those two verses? They seem to be, contradicting one another when the simple reality is they're not contradicting one another at all. The apostle Paul, when explaining that we are saved by grace through faith. And here's the big fancy word, the soteriology, the soteriological, the teaching that the Apostle Paul is offering is explaining that salvation that we enjoy is a free gift of God. That we are not saved by any works that we perform.

>> Abraham Hamilton III: faith alone, through the finished work on the cross alone. There's nothing we can add to secure our salvation. There's nothing we can add to purchase our salvation.

>> Abraham Hamilton III: what Jesus has secured on our behalf. What James is explaining is the fruit of, or the outward working of salvation, the results of salvation. What James is talking about is what
>> Abraham Hamilton III: happens in and through the life of a person who has been saved. All right, so Paul is explaining how to become saved. James is explaining what happens once we are saved. And the reason why James is saying that because there are some people who
>> Abraham Hamilton III: are, who would suggest that, well, I'm,
>> Abraham Hamilton III: I'm saved, but that my life doesn't evince that. And they, they quote, you know, the most off quoted, misquoted, decontextualized scripture ever,
>> Abraham Hamilton III: which is judge not. You can't judge. I mean, only God can be my judge. No, God is the ultimate judge. But God's people have an obligation to judge. We just don't have the wherewithal to condemn. I refer to you, refer people to Psalm 1. When the Lord says to the believer to walk not in the counsel of the ungodly. Well, thou shalt not judge.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: No, no, God commands me to judge.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: In order for me to comply with
>> Abraham Hamilton III: what is taught in Psalm 1, I must be able to identify what and who is ungodly.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Then I'm commanded.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Once having made that identification of what and or who is ungodly, then I stay away from that. I stay away from that.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: That's a judgment.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: What I don't have the authority to do is to condemn.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: I don't get to put anybody in hell. But I have an obligation to judge.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: But this is what the Scripture teaches. My obligation to judge begins with myself, that I am to judge myself righteously. And then when it comes to others external to me, that I apply the same standard to myself as I apply to someone else. So when you read the text, faith without works is dead. The first application of that verse is to me. If I am a believer as I profess to be, then there are certain things that should be evident through my life. I need to assess whether or not I am a producer of good fruit. I must assess whether or not the spirit of God is evident m in me through the fruit that is produced by Holy Spirit in my life.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: I have an obligation to do that. This is what the apostle James is talking about.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Faith without works is dead. If I am saved, then that means I have a sobriety concerning the reality of eternal life. There is a sobriety and a conviction concerning the things that God proclaims. There is a reality that I love what God loves and I loathe what God loathes. There's a reality that I have an obligation to live as though I have been born again.
There are certain characteristics and features of regeneration that you cannot conceal
And there are certain characteristics and features of regeneration that you cannot conceal. You cannot conceal. This is one of my, one of the reasons why one of my favorite things to do is to hear people testify having been born again. A, friend of mine who's a brother in the faith talks about man. Before I was born again, you know, I was raised on the block. I used to fight all the time. Somebody look at me sideways, I'm you know, I would bust him up

>> Abraham Hamilton III: in my speech, but God has redeemed me. And the redemption and the regeneration is so evident because when you hear the testimony, it is, you're almost overwhelmed in shock. No way. This brother is so gentle, so loving. Never would I realized he was a
>> Abraham Hamilton III: knuck if you buck kind of guy.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: That's what the word of God does. This is what the apostle James is talking about when he says, just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also as faith without works is dead. You can't sell the notion that you are born again. Yet your life is continually and perpetually non distinct, distinct from those who have not been born again. It's not possible. God knows when we get saved, we don't get a new mind instantaneously. Being born again doesn't make anybody sin less. But being born again does make you and me sin, less. Because one of the major features of being born again is that the believer is mortified, mortified by their own sin. That's why it's not so easy for

>> Abraham Hamilton III: what other people are, are not doing. Because our, names aren't Micah Jackson, but we are consistently looking at the
>> Abraham Hamilton III: man or woman in the mirror.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: So this is what the scripture is, is meaning and how we understand Scripture interprets scripture. Paul and James are not rivals. Paul and James are working together. Paul is explaining how one must be saved. You are saved by grace through faith. The finished work on the cross, Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Mosaic Law. Jesus Christ is a fulfillment of the Passover. What Passover pointed to is fulfilled in Christ Jesus. That's why in Luke's recording of the Gospel, Luke records Jesus as they're participating in the Last Supper, which was also a Passover meal in which Jesus inaugurated what we describe as the Lord's Supper, as he is, participating with the brought back bread of the afikoman, as after they had taken the third cup, the cup of redemption during the Passover, Jesus says, this day, this cup that you're partaking of is the new covenant in my blood. This cup of redemption that you're taking is the new covenant in my blood. And as often as you partake in this meal, do so in remembrance of me. And the apostle James comes in. In describing what happens in the life of a believer who has been born again. Faith without works is dead. If you are redeemed, your life should echo that reality. If you are born again, your life should look as if you are born again. There are certain appetites, certain approaches, certain things when you are born again. The things that usually that used to not bother you, now they become odious to you. It's like a person who, is not a smoker, for example, and you enter the presence of a smoker. Whereas before, when you used to be a smoker, you didn't smell certain things. And now that you're not smoking anymore, that that aroma stands out to you. That's the example I'm, talking about. James is honing in on that. Just as the spirit, just as the body without the spirit is dead, so

>> Abraham Hamilton III: you can't sell that I'm born again. Yet there's no evidence of regeneration at any point in your life.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: God knows where we are when he saves us.

>> Abraham Hamilton III: the holes we were
>> Abraham Hamilton III: in when he redeemed us, when he found us. But when you've been redeemed, man, that redemption bears evidence in your life. It bears evidence in my life. And here's the other thing.

>> Abraham Hamilton III: You never get to the point where you arrive because God continues to refine and reform and to purify us to where we grow from glory to glory to glory. President Trump gave a deadline to the Iranians of 8:00pm Eastern Time today
Now I want to turn for a moment because as I said yesterday, President Trump gave a deadline to the Iranians of, ah, 8:00pm Eastern Time today. or else what he said, or else he threatened, to strike, using our military to strike, power plants, electrical locations, infrastructure, bridges, other locations all throughout Iran. And then earlier today, before I came on the air at 4pm, President Trump was approaching a press gaggle and he was asked whether or not he would hold fast to his 8:00pm deadline. And he responded, quote, 8:00pm is happening, but a concrete deal could change things, end quote. So he still is saying that he's hopeful for a deal, to come to the fore, but he's expressing his resolute commitment to honor that 8 Ah PM deadline. One of the things that may not be obvious is that the rogue Iranian regime has completely cut off Internet access to people in the country in Iran. And so it's been cut off for nearly 40 days. And so, there are questions circulating whether or not the people in Iran are aware of what President Trump has been saying. there obviously the speculations, no one can say for certain what the people physically on the ground in Iran are saying, but that does present a tortured consequence. But President Trump earlier, this morning at 7:00am Eastern Time this morning made this post, and if you're watching the show, Jeff, would you put it up on the screen for the people, that he posted on, Truth Social? he posted this quote, a, whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will.

God bless the great people of Iran. In Iran. In quote posted at 7:06am Eastern, this morning. That's a lot, that's a lot in, in one post. and that has caused many people to be concerned. Now, if you've been paying attention to the way President Trump speaks, he's often, he often speaks in, in hyperbolic tones. You know, if he had a conversation for him, it was the greatest conversation ever. It's a great conversation. if somebody is nice to him,

>> Abraham Hamilton III: They're not lies in him. Very mean, very rude, Very, very mean, very rude. You know what I mean? You know how it goes. but when he says a whole civilization, there are, I think some disingenuous brokers like Russell Moore and others who take this, take that statement to mean or construe the statement as if President Trump is saying he's going to murder civilians. I just think that's an unfair, that's an unfair reading and frankly a bit disingenuous, because I believe they're using President Trump's communication style in an effort to try to besmirch him. when I don't for one moment think that the whole civilization reference is a reference to the civilians. If you've been paying attention to President Trump, there's the whole thing from Operation Epic Fury, from the very first day he talked about it. He talked about trying to get rid of the ayatollahs in an effort, to allow the Iranian people to liberate themselves. so referral to a whole civilization. I take Tamin. He's talking about the reign of the mullahs, the
>> Abraham Hamilton III: shiite twelver, 12th imam cleric regime.
>> Abraham Hamilton III: And I think if you're an honest broker reading the entirety of this post, you know, that's what he means as well, because he goes down in the same post and says now that we have complete and total regime change, where different, smarter and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen. He says, maybe. So if you will be honest about reading. And, I'm not trying to parse every single word of this social media post, but because the President has chosen to use social media to communicate, it's appropriate to evaluate what he posts on social media. But I think you should be honest about what he is posting. It seems clearly that the civilization he's talking about is the rule of the mullahs.

>> Abraham Hamilton III: The rule of the 12 clerics. All right? Now, I do think it's noteworthy that he described that as total regime change, because in previous statements, he said that our objective was not regime change. So what does that mean? I, do think it's fair to raise that. But to say that he's talking about he's going to annihilate Iranian civilians, I just think that's an unfair characterization. Now, putting that to the side, it is interesting to see because 8:00pm Eastern Time is 7:00pm Central Time. So about an hour after this show ends is the deadline. And, you know, I. It's one of those moments. You ever heard of the old game chicken? You know, he's. He's made the statement 8pm A deal is, we have a deal in place or else. And there's a lot at risk when you have such an expressed timeline and such an expressed commitment. Because what happens there is a lot of criticism, rightly, towards Barack Obama when he set his red lines and then his red lines got crossed and he'd reset the red lines, which communicated a bit of fecklessness, a bit of weakness on his part. that is a risk being taken. Now, I don't for one moment think that President Trump is like Barack Obama. I think he's demonstrated that already, dating all the way back to Qasem Soleimani and all of those other things. And so this is a serious time. I'm sharing this with you, conveying this information to you in an effort to encourage what I said earlier to pray for our country. We just had the situation where we had the amazing rescue of a downed U.S. airman. I saw reports today that said that the man was surviving behind enemy lines in Iran for 36 hours. For 36 hours. That could have been a disaster. Could have been a disaster. But thankfully our military was able to avoid it. I for one will be praying this evening. I want to ask you to do the same. I have been praying, but I will continue to pray, for our nation, for our leadership, for the Iranian people too. I mean I've shared with you guys before that one of the places where the gospel has been advancing more than anywhere else internationally has been in Iran. And this is according to missionary reports, from many different places. Our friends at Voice of the Martyrs have shared a lot some of this information. open doors. several other missionary outfits have been reporting this information. this is a pivotal time in our nation's history. I know we have the things about the Strait of Hormuz and all that other kind of stuff. while those things are very important, they're not more important than people. Than people. President Trump has reportedly agreed to suspend bombing in Iran for two weeks
>> Abraham Hamilton III: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the Hamilton Corner Fall 2026 Spring 2026 Sheriff Edition of the Hamilton Corner. I alluded to this during the break but it seems that President Trump has agreed to suspend bombing for two weeks in Iran. That is what is being being reported. a lot of the details we don't have just yet. I expect more details be coming forward. Questions that I have immediately as to whether or not this is a unilateral suspension or is this a, is this a agreement that is in place? It seems that this is a unilateral suspension that is announced. it's again as I said earlier, is this something to where the President has some information that has led him to do this? Is this just a gesture of good faith? We don't have all of those details yet but it appears that the 8 AH PM deadline is now off of the table. from the President it appears at this juncture and because this is breaking while we're on the air, we're not able to get all of the details. but I definitely will dig into this and we'll have more to report as we come back later and I'll ask if see maybe you guys can can pull it up for me. But President Trump has posted on Truth Social. I'll try to read it quickly. Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif and Field Marshal Aseem Munir of Pakistan and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the complete, immediate and safe opening of the Strait of her muse Hermuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. There's more that he said there. I don't want to risk that screen going off before I can get it all out. I'll try to get it, get it here. But there's more that's being said there. President Trump says he received a 10 point proposal from Iran regarding nuclear negotiations
Getting back to President Trump's post, he said that this ceasefire is a double sided ceasefire, meaning the Iranians are going to stop popping off and the US Will stop popping off for a period of two weeks. Then President Trump goes on to say that we've already met and exceeded our military objectives and that there's already been progress in negotiation for long term. And definitive peace between the US And Iran. And not just between the US And Iran, but peace between the Iranians and the remainder of the nations in the Middle East. President Trump specifically cites was that oil

>> Abraham Hamilton III: So apparently the oil markets are responding and that the per barrel cost for oil has dropped 10%. While I'm reading or talking through President Trump's true social post, the President says that he received, or we, the United States of America received a 10 point proposal from Iran. And President Trump believes that it is a workable basis upon which to negotiate. He said almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to, which obviously my most immediate question is, so they've agreed to cease pursuit of a nuclear weapon?

So my question is at this point is, is if almost all various points of past contention have been agreed to, have there been, has there been an agreement concerning the pursuit of a nuclear weapon? All right, what other. Obviously, I don't, we don't know the answer to all of these, but these are questions that are. I'm reacting to this immediately on the air right now in real time. has there been agreement concerning Iran's capacity to quote, to quote, General Raising Cain, has there been an agreement reached concerning Iran's capacity to quote, project strength beyond its borders? Has there been an agreement there? These are, these are things that are worth being requested.
President Trump has announced a two week ceasefire with Iran
But the news that is breaking now is that a two week ceasefire has been announced. The details we don't have, but the President seems to be confident that they have a basis to continue negotiations and that he believes that two weeks provides enough time to finalize the agreements that have already. To finalize an agreement following negotiations that are already underway now. And as we have mentioned, that on the economic front for the four major stock indexes have all responded to this announcement with an increase and that the price for oil at this moment appears to have dropped $10 a barrel, about $10 a barrel, not just 10%.
