Contrary to norms in some societies, the Scripture instructs us, husbands, that our primary life focus shifts to our wives in marriage. We have a specified, God-ordained, responsibility here.
Both the husband and wife must break with their families of origin (leave) and make our spouses and marriages first priority (cleave).
Family leadership includes leading in prioritizing the newly established family.
Instead of fitting our families into our lives, we must structure our lives around our families.
The way forward requires returning to biblical foundations. This is the way.
