Writer, director, producer, and actor Tyler Perry shared a Twitter video telling followers that if they had layaway at the Walmart locations in East Point or Douglasville, Georgia to go pick the up their purchases—as they’d been paid off.

Perry paid about $432,000 on people’s layaways.

His generosity inspired Kid Rock, Glenn Beck, and others to do the same.  Its resulted in people of varied economic means paying off large and small layaway balances.

This Christmas season, let’s invite people to receive the greatest gift ever given, the free gift of salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
