When their mom passed the Landau brothers of NJ had a garage sale to clear out their mom’s house, but they decided to keep a few things including mom’s old creepy painting of a woman passed out in a chair and two men trying to revive her.

Fast forward to their estate auction and the brothers found themselves fielding bids from France and Germany for the painting.

Turns out it was a long lost Rembrandt that ultimately sold for $1.1 million.

A trained eye spots value where others don’t.

It's not by chance that Jesus refers to his Church as “The Body.”  Just as it is with our physical bodies every member has a distinct role and function to fulfill.

Unfortunately, in the era of celebrity Christianity we’ve reduced the concept of ministry solely to what occurs in what is often little more than Sunday productions and performances.

The key to thriving in God’s Kingdom is understanding that every member in The Body of Christ is vital called to ministry.

They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road, while He opened to us the Scriptures?"

These words were shared between Cleopas and his companion on the seven mile walk from Jerusalem to Emmaus as Jesus, in resurrected form, used the Hebrew scriptures to reveal himself to them as the Messiah.

There are at least 109 distinct biblical prophecies the Messiah has to fulfill. The mathematical probability of such a feat occurring is astoundingly absurd.  Yet that absurdity is satisfied in Jesus the Messiah.

Come let us adore Him.

Pete Buttigieg and his media allies are working over time present him as a “moderate” Democrat presidential candidate.

But Pete Buttigieg is no moderate. He’s a radical Marxist. He’s called for the abolition of the Electoral College, recasting socialism as a palatable option for America, and he continues to push to eviscerate the LORD’s standard for identity, sexuality and marriage.

Petey Peter truly is a chip off of his father’s Marxist block. Jospeh Buttigieg, Pete’s Dad, immigrated to America from Malta and became a founder and president of the International Gramsci Society in honor of Italian Marxist revolutionary Antonio Gramsci.

The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910 for boys.

They were sued in the 1980s to include women as Scoutmasters.

In 2013 they admitted homosexual Scouts.

In 2015 they welcomed homosexual Scoutmasters.

In 2016 they welcomed transgender scouts.

In 2020 the Boy Scouts of America, with over $1.4 billion in assets, filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

They crumbled under the weight of 12,254 children on record who’d been abused by no less than 7,819 predators.

The moment you compromise Biblical standards is the moment you declare bankruptcy, with or without a courtroom.

The Madison Metropolitan School District in Wisconsin is doing away with the traditional “A-F” grading system in favor of a new system that is kinder and gentler on students.

A and B students will now be marked as “Exceeding.” Failing students will be marked as “Emerging” instead of getting an “F.”

This is an attempt to neuter the American populace and cultivate a hunger for socialism. People who’ve been coddled and shielded from the reality that some people succeed and others fail enter the world ill-prepared for its reality.

Being unable to sustain themselves in the real world, they will cry aloud for government provision.

“Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” Romans 1:18 (NASB).

Universal Film produced a movie titled “The Hunt.” In the film, political “elites” hunt down and kill Make America Great Again styled “deplorables” for sport.

Universal pulled the film from its opening in September 2019 following a massive outcry and backlash.

But they’ve now decided to release the movie in theaters this year.

The idea of visually depicting the slaughter of those with whom you disagree politically for sport, kinda like deer hunting or duck hunting, was to attractive to bypass for Universal films.  They say its satire.  What say you?

A convicted sex offender protested to the court that he had always been an 8 year-old girl.

Joseph Gobrick, 45, was convicted in 2001 and served 8 years in prison for sexual abuse. He was re-arrested in 2018 after a 17 year-old missing Ohio girl was found in his Grand Rapids, MI home.

Gobrick was also found with child pornography on his computer including images of infants to five year olds.

He claimed to be an 8 year-old girl as a defense against the new charges.

This is where delusion takes us.

“Furthermore, you shall select… able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain.” Exodus 18:21 (NASB).

Joe Biden stood before an audience at the Council on Foreign Relations and bragged about getting Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin fired.

The cover story carried by the media was that Shokin was fired in an effort to stamp out corruption.

While stumping for Biden in Iowa, former Secretary of State John Kerry was recorded on video saying he, Biden, former President Barack Obama and his entire administration were working to get Shokin fired to help Ukraine win its revolution against Russia.

Did Kerry reveal that the Obama administration fought an unauthorized proxy war against Russia?

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Matthew 19:5 (ESV).

With this statement Jesus affirmed what He’d already said in Genesis 1 and 2 and defined marriage for all time. Contrary to the protestations of the nouveau critical theorists, the nuclear family consisting of a married father and mother is not a western sociological prescription or construct.

Marriage did not originate in the west.  It’s origin isn’t suburban America.

It started in Genesis, in the Garden of Eden.  Marriage is God’s idea.  Therefore, He alone defines it.  If you don’t like it, your problem is with God… not me.

Actor Jussie Smollett has now been indicted by Cook County Special Prosecutor Dan Webb on six counts related to the hate crime hoax he staged last January.

The indictment charges Smollett with making four separate false reports to Chicago Police Department Officers.

A Cook County Judge has also signed a search warrant ordering Google to turn over a trove of documentation from Smollett and his manager’s Google accounts which may include communications between Smollet’s camp and State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office after the original charges against Smollett were abruptly dismissed.

It looks like Jussie and those who obstructed justice before are in caldron of hot water now.

Socialist Bernie Sanders has emerged as the Democrat Presidential frontrunner after his New Hampshire primary win.  However, if you look at the numbers more closely you’ll see something encouraging.

Sanders 1st place vote percentage combined with Liewatha Warren’s 4th place finish total only 34.9% of the votes. 65% of New Hampshire Democrat primary participants voted against outright socialism.

Now is the time to boldly and passionately advocate for capitalism as the economic system that has lifted the largest number of people in human history from poverty.

Some Democrats will be persuaded.

Matt Walsh wrote a piece for the Daily Wire where he said, "The contemporary American Christian is the most open-minded person to have ever existed.  He’s so open minded you can hardly tell he’s Christian, or has a mind at all…

He has for a long time been open to the idea that marriage isn’t permanent and sex isn’t meant exclusively for marriage.  He’s basically open to whatever notions are popular…

He is open, and where he is not open, he is silent."

“And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.”  Mark 11:13 (ESV).

From a distance, the fig leaves gave Jesus the impression that there was fruit on the tree.  Upon closer inspection, the tree was fruitless.

Perfect church attendance and ministry activity cannot replace actual Christ-like fruit produced in our lives.

From a distance, it can appear as though we’re bearing fruit but what would we find with a closer look?

Are we content with fruitful appearance or do we yearn for the real thing?

“Then Elisha prayed and said, 'O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see…'”  Excerpt from 2 Kings 6:17 (ESV)

One morning, Elisha’s young servant went out first thing and saw the Syrian army surrounding Elisha’s home town. The servant was racked with fear and cried out to Elisha, “What will we do?” Elisha said, “Don’t be afraid.  There are more with us than are with them.”  Then Elisha prayed, "LORD, open this young man’s eyes.” The servant then saw mountain full of horses and chariots of fire!

As opposition mounts in our lives, fear not, the LORD - who is in us and with us - is greater than the hostility present in the world.

“Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2

No one likes to suffer difficult circumstances.  In this era of easy believe-ism it's often conveyed, “If life isn’t always smooth we’re doing something wrong.”

The Scripture teaches us, however, that our LORD often meets fruitful branches with additional pruning.  The pruning is not punishment.  It's actually to make us even more fruitful.

If you’re in a rough spot right now, take heart.  What may feel like the squeeze to end all squeezes could very well be the LORD’s pruning for additional fruitfulness.

When the LORD prunes us He does so for our good.

“By mercy and truth iniquity is purged; and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.” Proverbs 16:6 (KJV).

We live in a day when churches are filled with people ready to hear and receive God’s mercy. Unfortunately, however, it is often accompanied by a de-emphasis or concealment of the truth of God’s Word.

Paul, the salvation-by-grace-through-faith Apostle, was asked if salvation is solely a product of grace what benefit then does the law provide. Paul responded, “Without the law, I wouldn’t have known God’s righteous standard and how far away from it I was.”

Any presentation of God’s mercy absent of God’s truth is no Gospel at all.

Iniquity is purged by mercy and truth.

Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens. Psalm 119:89 (ESV)

The American republic was founded on the principle that rights are given to us by God, not man.  As a result, men nor government can take them away. That’s why our Declaration of Independence refers to our rights as inalienable rights.

Government’s role then is to protect the rights that God has given to us.

The first freedom listed in the bill of rights, which government is entrusted to protect, is religious liberty.  The founders did this because they know that free exercise of religion is the fulcrum for all liberty.

Wherever the flame of religious liberty is extinguished, all liberty is imperiled.

“Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, 'Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.' This is a desert place” Acts 8:26.

At the height of a Holy Spirit outpouring in Samaria, where the Gospel was being preached with great power and droves of people were converting to follow Christ, the LORD instructed Philip to leave Samaria and head south to Gaza.

Philip didn’t know a divine appointment awaited him.

Through his ministry to the Ethiopian Eunuch, the Gospel would spread to Africa.

He left the crowd. To serve one.

I call this step down faith. It's easy to step up for the attention and applause of the masses, but do we have step down faith?
