Show Notes

On Tuesday's edition of "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins" Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas) joins Tony to highlight what action steps President Trump has taken to restore and protect religious freedom. Pastor Jeremy Schossau of Metro City Church in Detroit, Michigan, is here to share with us the extreme threats he has received and Michigan state representatives' move to investigate his church for hosting an event for young women struggling with thoughts on identity and sexuality. A parent and pastor from the Cumberland County school district in North Carolina, Craig Autry, who is also a co-founder of Cumberland Protect Our Students, is here to talk about a Cumberland County Board of Education committee vote last week to scrap a Planned Parenthood sex education program. Then, FRC's Travis Weber, Director of the Center for Religious Liberty, joins Tony to further weigh in on Pastor Schossau's case in Michigan, and he'll discuss a case in Florida dealing with the firing of a teacher after a same-sex wedding and how it has sparked debate on a stalled religious liberty bill in the Florida Legislature.
