Genesis 1:1-5

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. ² The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. ³ Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. ⁴ God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. ⁵ God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. Isaiah 5:20-23

Romans 13:3-4

Proverbs 6:23-35

 James 1:21-25

²¹ Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. ²² But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. ²³ For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. ²⁵ But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Psalms 105:1-7

Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples. ² Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders. ³ Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad. ⁴ Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually. ⁵ Remember His wonders which He has done, His marvels and the judgments uttered by His mouth, ⁶ O seed of Abraham, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! ⁷ He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

Isaiah 66:1-2

Thus says the Lord, “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that ^[a]I may rest? ² “For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.“But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word

2 Timothy 3:1-5
