America will celebrate its 250th anniversary
Bishop EW Jackson: Welcome to another edition of the Awakening podcast here on America. Welcome to American Family Radio. I'm your host, Bishop E.W. jackson. Great to be with you again today. And, folks, this is a very, very special day because in just four days, four days, we will celebrate America's 250th anniversary. 250 years. A quarter of a millennium, semi quincentennial. Can you say that rapidly? Five times. But, you know, this is our. Our fifth Jubilee year. Five times 50. Every 50 years of Jubilee year. This is our fifth Jubilee year. This is an exciting time, folks. It really is. and interestingly, just before our, 250th, the Supreme Court has just come down with some very important decisions, which I'll get into in a moment. But first, I want to say to all of you, so let's not get too caught up. Although I'm going to talk about it a little bit. We have to, because we need to know what we're up against. But too caught up in these America haters. These people who are, for some reason or other, brainwashed, indoctrinated, propagandized into hating their very own country. So I just want to say, for the record, I love America. I really do, folks. And I mean this literally. I'm not exaggerating every, day of my life. I am grateful that I was born an American. I am grateful to live in the United States of America rather than any other place in the world. And by the way, that wasn't my to be born here. Wasn't my choice. That was really God's choice. God ordained that before the foundation of the world. But I am so glad he did. And I think that's the attitude every American ought to have. I was talking to a friend of mine, in fact, somebody that you know. Alex McFarland. He and I were chatting about these people who say the flag triggers them. As you can see, the flag is right over my right shoulder. in fact, folks, if you find me anywhere in a venue that I'm in control of, you won't have to look far to find a flag. I've got, let me see, at least three in my studio. You can only see that one, but I've got at least three in my studio. I'VE got one on my property, prominently displayed on my property. And anywhere I go, if I'm in control of the venue, there's going to be a flag. And so these people are triggered. I see a flag, and I get disturbed. I think to myself, man, the more flags I see, the better I like it. The more American flags I see, the better I like it. And we were talking about how we can live in a country with such opposite reactions. And he and I were saying, you know, there are times when you just tear up hearing the national anthem. you know, you get emotional saying the Pledge of Allegiance because you realize how blessed you are to live in the greatest nation in the history of mankind and to be the beneficiary of all the hope and the opportunity this nation presents. That is why people from all over the world are trying to get here. Some of them trying to come the wrong way, of course, but that's why, because they know that in America, you're going to find hope that you won't find anywhere else. You're going to find opportunity that you won't find anywhere else. You're going to find the ability to fulfill your potential that you won't find anywhere else. There's no better place on Earth to get an education, to raise a family, to start a business and see that business, evolve into success. There's no better place on Earth to pursue whatever talents God has given you to the highest place they will take you. You know, I preached a sermon this past Sunday called 250 grievance or gratitude? There are those of us who are just grateful that we are Americans and grateful for our country and those of us, sadly, who are just filled with grievance and anger and bitterness and hatred and resentment. About that politician. I think her name is Chevalier, who said she wipes her hands on the flag. I think she probably wanted to say something more vulgar. But, folks, here, again, you know, I'm not being snarky. I'm being very serious when I say this. And, you know, you just wonder why these people don't leave. Why don't they simply leave? You think this country is so terrible. You think it's so bad. Why don't you leave? You know why they don't leave? Because in their heart of hearts, they know they're not going to do better anywhere else. Ilhan Omar knows if she goes back to Somalia, she'll be a dead woman. You know, let her take some of her little progressive homosexual and transgender friends over to Somalia and see how Long they live. I mean, these people are just, you know, I said, when you reject God, you just go stupid because you can't see the blessing that is right before your face. As, there's an old saying, you know, people walking around with a loaf of bread under each arm and complaining that they have nothing to eat. So I, I, you know, like I said, I don't want to get all hung up on them because I, I'm too busy praising God that I am alive and I trust you feel the same way. We are alive to see the 250th year of our beloved country's existence. And of course, as I've shared many times, historians argue that 250 years, a quarter of a millennium, is usually the beginning of the end for a great empire. it is the time when you begin either a slow decline into oblivion or you suffer a cataclysmic collapse from internal decay. We see the signs in our own country. I mean, we can't deny that. But by the eternal God, I do not intend to allow America, if I have anything to say about it, to decline into oblivion or to suffer a cataclysmic collapse. Not on my watch. In the name of Jesus. Now, after the rapture, I don't know what's going to happen after that. That's an entirely different issue. I'm dealing right now with the here and now. And as long as I'm in America, as long as Christians in America, before Jesus comes back, we have a responsibility to make sure that our nation is a nation whose God is the Lord. I said, you know, we sit between two poles, two biblical poles. Psalm 9:17 says, the wicked shall be turned into hell. And all the nations that forget God, that's one pole. And that's where these socialists and these sexual deviants, these democrats, that's where they're trying to take us. But Psalm 33:12 says, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. And that's where you and I and AFR and so many others across this country, that's where they want us to go. That's who we've been, that's who we must remain if we're going to see America experience the same level and increased levels of prosperity and success in the future as we have in the past. As you all know, I started a truth tour. I've given my first two truth tour speeches and had a wonderful time. had discussions with people about these issues. And there's so much about our history to celebrate. There's so much nobility in our history. There, there is so much of the miraculous in our history. This just, I mean we can, we can look at America, America, and American history with wonder. And we should because God has been so good to us. You know, God has been better to America than America deserves. But thank you, Lord. I do not in any way minimize m or trivialize the goodness and the mercy of God toward my country because I know we have not always deserved it. But I believe the reason why God has given it is because when our Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, they were laying down not only for the Declaration, a, ah, legal and political marker for independence. They were laying down spiritual and moral and cultural markers for the kind of nation we would be now. Follow me in this and forgive me if you've heard me say this before. It certainly bears repeating if you've never heard me say this before. You need to listen to this closely and embrace this with your whole heart. When the Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence, they were acknowledging when they said all men are created equal and endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Here's what they were saying that the ultimate accountability of every individual who claims to be an American and the ultimate accountability of the government that claims to govern to serve the American people as our government. The ultimate accountability of us all is to God. Because God is the one who grants us rights. God is the one who grants us fundamental liberty. God. God is the one who gives us these things that allow us to flourish. And so we are ultimately accountable not to man, but to God. Not that there's no human accountability. Of course there is. But our government should always remember, and we as individuals, we as individuals should always remember that we owe our first and foremost allegiance to God. If our country remembers that, we're going to see if Jesus tarries. I don't think he will for another 250 years. But we will see another 250 years of prosperity because God really is the key. Righteousness exalts a nation. Sin is a reproach to any people. I often say. Now I say better, to us than we deserve because we haven't been a perfect nation by any stretch of the imagination. We have certainly committed our share of sins, although I reject this concept of slavery as the original sin. I just think that's a lot of, again, a lot of silliness and polemic, rhetoric to try to convince people how Bad America really is. And it's just nonsense. But we certainly committed our share of sins. Individuals have in our country has. We've made our share of mistakes, sure. Slavery was definitely one of them. Not that we invented it as. The negative 200. Tim Cain has said America didn't inherit slavery. America invented it. Well, I don't know where you get a stupid idea like that. Every time I think of it, I. We've got this man in the United States Senate. Lord, deliver us. Now, the reality is, of course, America inherited slavery. America inherited slavery. You know, slavery is no more America's original sin than sin itself is my original doing. The original sin is Adam and Eve in the garden. And everything that flows from that is not original. They were the ones who broke ranks with God. They were the ones who violated their covenant with God and disobeyed God and rebelled against God. And since then, the whole human race has been on that side. You m and I don't have original sin. Our sin, frankly, is very unoriginal. I mean, the reality is. And so was slavery. It was very unoriginal. Did I ever share this with you? I don't think I did because I just discovered this not that long ago. This is going to shock you. Did you know that some scholars say there is evidence that 90% of the people who were sold into the, transatlantic slave trade, in other words, put on ships to be shipped to Europe, to the West Indies, to North America. Very small percentage came here. 90% of them were already slaves in Africa. 90% were already slaves in Africa. They weren't enslaved by Europeans, they were enslaved by Africans. And Africans just stepped into a marketplace that the North African Muslims, had already created. Particularly, particularly the one that involved sub Saharan Africans, more dark skinned Africans. It was the North African Muslims who perfected that, if you will, if I can use that term. But they were the ones who found out it was very, very lucrative. Estimates are that they had already sold 5 million African slaves by the time the Europeans started the transatlantic slave trade. You got people running around talking about America owes them reparations. Well, you need. Actually the likelihood is you need to go back to Africa and start there. Because whoever enslaved your ancestors in Africa, they're the ones who owe you reparations. Because whoever enslaved your ancestors in Africa were the ones who sold your ancestors in the transatlantic slave trade. Why would America owe you? The status didn't change. The status, that is of your ancestors didn't change. I mean, reparations is again, more silliness. Anyway, but just to make the point, you got to go all the way back to Africa to deal with that. Because again, slavery wasn't unique to America and it wasn't invented by America. And the, and the enslavement of Africans was invented by Africans, not Europeans. Some argue, oh, no, it wasn't 90%. That's, that's, that's too high. Some argue, no, it was only 60%. Well, imagine that. That still tells you that the slave trade in Africa was booming and the Europeans simply stepped into something that Africans already had going m. Again, folks, you've heard me say this, I know, but it's not the skin. It's the sin. My point in saying all that is to say I do not apologize in any way for my love for this country and my actions absolute commitment to the United States of America as the greatest nation on earth, because it is. And because I am grateful to God that I am here. And as some of you have heard me argue many times, it wasn't the potato famine. It wasn't the poverty and oppression of the southern, Italians. It wasn't the wars that the German people and the Dutch people were experiencing. it wasn't the, what other large group came early on? Italians, Germans, Irish. Well, some eastern Europeans began to come too, for some of the very same reasons. And of course, the Africans who came as a result of the slave trade primarily. But none of those are the forces that brought us here. I believe we were brought here by the divine appointment of Almighty God. And that is not to say that God engineered any of that. He didn't. That he didn't engineer the potato famine. He didn't engineer the oppression. He didn't engineer the wars. God didn't engineer slavery. But you know what the word says in Romans 8, 28. We know that all things work together for good for them that love the Lord with those who are the called according to his purpose. Now you say, well, how can you, how can you say that? I mean, are you saying everybody who came here was, was, was saved? No, no, I'm not saying that. But see, when human beings looked at the slave trade, and particularly transatlantic slave trade coming to North America and other places, when they looked at that, all they saw was the money that they were going to make off the human beings that they were using as property. But my friends, God saw far beyond that. God saw far beyond the indentured servant who came here from Ireland. And he saw Jon Kennedy, and he saw, you know, the writers and the artists and the, and the people from Ireland who've done made such a great contribution to this country and achieved marvelous things. God didn't see the poor Italian who came to this country escaping oppression and coming here and barely being able to speak English and being able to eke out an existence. God saw Frank Sinatra. God saw the inventors. God saw the entertainers. God saw the people who would, who were going to be doing things. A freedom that was unprecedented in the world. You know, the Bible says in, the Book of Isaiah, ah, God says, I call the end from the beginning and the things that are not as though they were saying, all my counsel will stand and I will do all my good pleasure. See, instead of looking back, obsessing about what somebody else did to our, ancestors and then through them, claiming somehow that was done to us, we ought to be looking back and seeing what God was doing for us through our ancestors. And one of the things God was doing for those people that he appointed to be in the United States of America was blessing us beyond measure. You know, folks, I can say this without equivocation, without apology, and I really believe, without challenge. I believe that the greatest blessing God ever bestowed upon human beings, aside from salvation through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And by the way, under that aegis, I consider the Word of God to be part of that, because the Word of God is the foundation by which God brought the Messiah into the world. So I'm including all of that. But aside from that, I believe that the greatest blessing God ever, ever bestowed upon any people was the United States of America. And I tell you, that's a bold statement, but challenge it. I dare you to show me something that God did other than salvation through Jesus Christ and the revelation of His Word to mankind. Show me something God did for the world that is greater than the United States of America. In my view, you won't find it. And again, I don't consider myself a, historian or a history expert, but I'll tell you what, I'm a pretty good student of history. I don't think there's anything that even comes close. Now, look, there's a great distance between salvation through Jesus Christ and the Word of God and the revelation of God to mankind through the Jewish people and through His Word. There's a great distance between that and the United States of America. I don't think anything comes even close to salvation because the United States of America would, however much I may love it, is temporary. But salvation is eternal. So I'm not saying our country comes even Close. But I'm saying after that, you start figuring out, okay, in what other ways has God blessed people? What else has God given mankind? That is a great blessing. I, Think America's got to be at the top of the list because our inventiveness, our productivity, our creativity has blessed the entire world. Oh, well, as you can see, I can. I can really get worked up about this, folks, because, look, I'm excited to be in America. I'm excited that my grandchildren grow up in this country and have opportunities in this country. I look at my grandchildren, my granddaughter, very, very creative. I mean, really, she has an amazingly creative mind. and I sometimes sit in awe at the way she looks at things and the way she can see things that I don't see now, she's four years old. And then I look at my grandson, and God spoke, spoken some things to me about my grandson, that my grandson is going to have an extraordinary mind. An extraordinary mind. M. Well, what better place for my granddaughter to fulfill her creative impulse, my grandson to stretch the power of his intellect than the United States of America? There is no better place. So, yes, I am excited to be a citizen of the United States of America. And, to celebrate our, 250th.
Only 10% of people in Great Britain have air conditioning
Look, I just want to give you just a few things. Just a few things. And I could run down the list, but I want to from memory. But I. But I want to share, some of these things with you, that I might just forget to mention that America has done for the world. Okay? And of course, you know them all. Where did the electric light come from? America. Where did the automobile come from? America. Where'd the airplane come from? America. Where'd the telephone come from? America. Where'd the television come from? America. Where'd the transistor come from? America. Where'd the microchip and microprocessing come from, which allows us to have these machines that just move at lightning speed? America. Where'd the Internet come from? No, not Al Gore, but yes. America. Where'd the smartphone come from? America. The laser, all the surgeries that we do now. I'm old enough now to have had cataracts removed and had laser, surgery on my eyes. I mean, it's almost miraculous. Where did assembly line manufacturing come from that allowed us to produce products at record speed, to turn out literally hundreds and now thousands of cars every single day? America. Where the interchange. Where interchangeable machine parts come from? That idea. Eli Whitney, same guy who invented the cotton gin. America. Where air conditioning Come from America. Do you realize only 10% of the people in Great Britain have air conditioning? Folks? That's a shocking number to me, but it's the truth. And right now, right now, as you're listening to this, right now, they have an air conditioning crisis in France. People are dropping dead because they're having a heat wave in France. And it happens every single year. Every single year in Europe, 50,000 to 175,000 people die of heat exhaustion because they lack air conditioning. You know how many people don't have air conditioning in America? About 10%. And that you can number the homeless among them. Obviously, almost nobody is without air conditioning in America. More people die of heat exhaustion in Europe than die from automobile accidents. In part, folks because they can't afford it, and in part because Great Britain is imbued with this climate change culture thinking that they think, oh, we can't, we can't have, we can't have air conditioning. People, people will die, because the planet is going to be destroyed. Well, you know, because Europe has just gone so godless that they bought into that ridiculous mess. They'd rather see a bunch of elderly people. Most of the people who die are 65 and older, but they'd rather see a bunch of elderly people die then run the risk that they might destroy the planet with air conditioning. Well, you talk about being educated fools is what my father used to call them. I mean that, like I said, when you reject God, you just go stupid. Imagine that, people dying because, well, we can't have air conditioning. We might destroy the planet. There are some other factors involved, but those are the two major ones. Money and cult like thinking about climate change. Here's an interesting story. in Europe, European Union headquarters. European Union headquarters. I kid you not, folks. The story appeared in Breitbart News. They, they air conditioned the floors that the top executives work in, and they provided no air conditioning for the floors that the lower level bureaucrats work in. Which is, you know, just goes to show, this sort of communist socialist, mindset, you know, rules for thee, but not for me. I mean, these people, they're just like the scribes and Pharisees of Jesus Day. You lay up burdens too grievous to be born, but you touch not one dot yourselves. But right now, people are dying. But the elites, oh, yeah, they have air conditioning, yes, indeed they do. But ordinary people don't need that because that might destroy the planet. I mean, Satellite communications, you know, radio impulses and, and, and light and, and, and what else am I thinking of? But they travel line of sight. They can't bend around the earth. America has developed the communications that allow people to talk to each other on the other side of the world. I mean, we talk about the world shrinking and the world being a smaller place. Guess why? Because of us. Because of our productivity, because of our creativity, because of our inventiveness, our innovation, because our imagination is allowed to run wild in this wonderful country of freedom. Gps. AI for all of its, you know, potential downside. But I tell you what, I use it. Haven't gotten fully into it yet, but I've used it. I've watched AI be able to do some amazing things. Help me create, the logo for the Family Restoration Institute. Beautiful logo. I mean, I had to give it direction and guidance, but I didn't have the skill set to do that. I'm not a graphics artist, but AI did it for me. Where did it come from? The United States of America. You know, all these people, folks like Rosie o', donnell, she, she slunk off to Ireland, but. But she slunk right back. So she's back home now.
These wealthy people can go live in other places because of American influence
See, she's back here in America. Let me just tell you, first of all, these wealthy people who, I'm leaving America, America's a dangerous place. Because of their money, they can go live in these other places in ways that most people cannot. I guarantee you, Rosie o' DONNELL had air conditioning where she was living. And I guarantee you, most people living in Ireland do not. But look, here's the other thing. These idiots don't realize that to the extent that they go someplace where the standard of living is livable, it is because of the influence of the United States of America. I guarantee you they don't want to go live in North Korea. With all their touted interest in socialism, they don't want to go live there. I was talking to, a guy from Pakistan. He's now an American citizen. He lives here now, but he goes back to visit. He said, I tell you, he said, when I go to visit, he said, every time I get back to this country, I just, I mean, I don't know where he was coming from spiritually, but he said, I'm just so grateful, he said, because in Pakistan, we don't even have consistent electricity because they have such a poor power grid. He said our electricity would run like a couple of hours on and then a couple of hours off and then a couple of hours on and then a couple of hours off. And you basically never knew when you saw the electricity on whatever you were going to do that needed electricity, you had to rush to do it because you didn't know when it was going to turn off. I mean, we Americans look at that and go, what? Because we are so accustomed as right now, I come into my studio and everything works by electricity. And, I'm talking to you right now from my studio, and I don't even give any thought most of the time to the possibility I m won't be able to do that. We won't have any electricity, even with the inconsistency sometimes of the Internet, because, you know, Internet does go in and out from time to time. But we Americans, we have so little of that, comparatively speaking, that, we don't even think about it very much. We just go on with our business. But imagine living in a country where. How much time do you think we have electricity today? Oh, I don't know. Maybe we might have three or four hours of electricity today. Okay, well, as soon as we get it, let's try to get this done, because, you know, we don't know when it's going to go out.
People who want to denounce America need to restore the fundamentals of America
All right? Instead of grieving, instead of grievances, I should say we ought to be grateful. And I know you all are. Those of you listening to me or watching me or both, I know that's the way you feel, but I just never cease to be amazed at the utter disconnect from reality of these people who want to denounce America. They need to fundamentally transform America. We need, as Bernie Sanders and AOC and this Nazi up in Maine saying, we need a revolution, we don't need the fundamental transformation of America. We need to restore the fundamentals of America. Because the fundamentals have stood us in pretty good stead, I dare say. Praise God for the United States of America.
We lost a big one, which is the Birthright citizenship case
Now, let me get to some of these Supreme Court cases. Well, first of all, we lost a big one, so I'll get. I'll deal with these losses first. We lost a big one, which is the Birthright citizenship case. Now, folks, let me tell you, I'm not mourning, and I'll tell you why. It's a bad, bad decision. Bad decision. But I knew that was. I knew that's. That was the way they were going to decide. I knew that for two reasons. One is a long period. Now, it hasn't been for the entire history of the country, but I think the case goes back about 100 years. and it was a case involving a guy from China. I think I've shared that case with you, where his citizenship was challenged because he was born in America, left and came back, and the Supreme Court held that he met the requirements of the 14th Amendment. So there's precedent, but there's also the plain wording. No matter what was intended, and believe me, I know what was intended because frankly, it was intended to benefit my ancestors. People from Africa who had come to this country had been here by that point for a couple of centuries. Because, of course, the first Africans came in 1619, had been for a couple centuries by that point, but still weren't counted as citizens. The Dred Scott decision said that they weren't citizens. And so the 14th amendment was, intended to answer that and assure that every person of African ancestry living in this country, their ancestors having been brought here as mostly m. As slaves, in some cases as indentured servants, was in fact and would then henceforth, in fact, it would be understood legally that that person is a citizen of the United States of America. That's what it was intended to do. It was never intended to say that some Chinese communist boss can organize a bunch of people and a bunch of women, pregnant women, send them to America just before they're due to deliver, let them deliver here. Now you got a bunch of American citizens, bring them back, indoctrinate them, inculcate them with hatred for America, love of communism, and then send them back to America to try to undermine the country from within. Because, folks, that's exactly what is happening. There's no doubt about it. If China is willing to put to send balloons over our sensitive installations, if they're willing to buy property next door to our sensitive installations, if they're willing to set up police stations in order to get Chinese nationals to spy and infiltrate our country, if China is willing to steal our intellectual property, if China is willing to buy our food and meat plants so that they can have control of the essentials of our lives, if China's willing to do all of that and more and worse, by the way, if they're willing to buy into our universities to influence them with Confucius Institutes and tell the universities, you can have this money as long as you don't speak against China, if they're willing to buy into our, sports events and co opt idiots like Steven Curry and LeBron James who don't realize they turn themselves into glorified political pimps or maybe I should say glorified political prostitutes. I know, folks, that may seem harsh, but that's what it is. Because, look, let's not mince words. Here they are. They are allying themselves with people who want the destruction or the subjugation of our nation. Now let's not play games here. That's what they're doing. And they're align themselves with them. Just like Esau, who was willing to sell his birthright for a bowl of porridge. If they're willing to do all of that, you don't think they're willing to send people over here so that they can become American citizens and then at the appropriate time, send them back as American citizens to undermine us from within? Folks, that's not far fetched. It would be shocking if China wouldn't do that. We meant well. Really. What if, if we, if somehow there were. There were forces in China with enough influence to say, oh, no, no, we, we can't do that to America. That's not fair. You and I would be shocked because we know that the Communist Party of China is a bunch of, godless, wicked, twisted, nasty, depraved human beings who don't know God and, and don't care about anything but their own political power and hegemony over the world. Now that's the reality. And the Supreme Court, sadly, has just delivered to them another tool that is now enshrined in our constitutional jurisprudence that allows them to take advantage of our country. So let me just tell you, because I'm getting close to running out of time here. But let me just tell you, in case you didn't know, go to our website, StandAmerica U.S. standAmerica U.S. we have, on our website, a proposed constitutional amendment for birthright citizenship. And, go to our website under get involved and you'll see. wait a minute. Do I have. No, I may have that wrong. I should know my website better, shouldn't I? Oh, no, wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait, wait. It signed the petition. It's under Sign the petition. Here we go. Here we go. By the way, the first thing that pops up is the truth door. But under Sign the Petition. If you click on Sign the petition, you'll see Constitutional amendment Petitions, Anchor Baby Scam petition. Boom. There it is. It says this is our. Ah. And by the way, folks, I've had this for two years because I knew this was coming. Maybe even longer than that, but at least two years. Our proposed constitutional amendment says any biological child of an American citizen born anywhere in the world shall be an American citizen. No person born in any state, territory, or the District of Columbia of the United States of America shall be An American citizen by birth, unless at least one biological parent of such child is an American citizen. now, there you go. That's it. That's it. If you don't have at least one biological parent who is an American citizen, you can be born, they say, is it Kansas City? That's supposed to be the center of the country. You can be born right smack in the center of the country and you're no more an American citizen than, a, ah, panda in China. I mean, that's a very simple constitutional amendment. You know what, folks? I'm convinced of this. I think the American people would go for that. Democrats and Republicans, I think they would go for that. But of course, as always, we need resources to push these things out there.
StandAmerica US has created a petition to overturn birthright citizenship
So on the website, go check it out. StandAmerica US and as I said, click the button that says petitions and you'll see petitions for constitutional amendments. This is not the only one, but you can sign the one, for birthright citizenship or the birthright, citizenship scam. Is that what I called? It was called the anchor baby scam petition. Yeah, the Anchor Baby scam petition. You click on that and you'll find that petition. And by the way, that allows you to sign that petition. You can put your name, your information there, sign the petition. So we know your person wants to support that petition. But, again, folks, I think this is where we've got to go. There are things that we must take out of the hands of the Supreme Court. We just got to take it out, take it out of their hands, because you can't. The only two Supreme Court justices who can be absolutely trusted as originalists and textualists are Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas. That's it. I think on this one, Amy Coney Barrett and Jon Roberts sided with the, liberals in order to strike down Trump's proposal and policy that says, no, no, no, you are not an American citizen simply by virtue of being born here, if you are a citizen of a foreign country, which is really the right policy. But I knew it wasn't going to fly. I knew the Supreme Court wasn't going to go along with it. I knew they weren't going to have the votes. And, and again, sadly, some of the conservatives sided on that issue. But this is the answer because this takes it away from the Supreme Court, and I believe the American people would go for this. Help me to do it. Go to our website, standAmerica us make a contribution specifically to this. Sign up for the petition and make a contribution specifically for this, and then we can find some donors who say, look, I want you to run with this. I'll run with it. I will run with it, because I think it's part of saving our country. Can you imagine if this goes on for 10, 15, 20, 25 years, and you just build up a whole army of people in China who are American citizens, but trained to be vicious, aggressive communists whose role it is to undermine our country? Can you imagine the impact of that? So, but I said I was going to cover some of the Supreme Court stuff. So that's. That's one of the cases didn't go the way we would have liked for it to go. But frankly, it went the way I expected it to go. I'm not shocked. another win the president has been. His authority to remove agency heads has been affirmed. with one exception, the Federal Reserve, which I think is a bad part of that decision, but nevertheless, that's where they landed. but it's affirmed the president's overall ability to remove people with or without cause. And that's a good thing. Federal Reserve is another matter. and I hope that the court will at some point come back and clarify that, because I believe the president ought to have the authority to remove, any member of the Federal Reserve Board. He appoints them, he can remove them. It's just that plain and simple. And people talk about, well, you know, you don't want the Federal Reserve Board to be politicized, folks. It's already political. It's already political. You watch the way it behaves. It's already political. The question is, whose politics do we want influencing it? And I want the politics of the person that has been duly elected president of the United States. If anybody's going to influence, that's who I want influencing it. I don't want some bureaucrat thinking he can substitute the judgment and wisdom for the American people to do whatever he wants to do. I mean, that's the way Powell was. And the things he thought about didn't make a bit of sense. I mean, for example, your economist now is saying the Federal Reserve operates on the principle that the growth of the American economy causes inflation. And therefore, every time the American economy grows, the Federal Reserve must put the brakes on that growth. Well, that's stupid, but that's the principle under which they operate. And many economists say, and it's not true, the growth of our economy does not cause inflation. Inflation is caused by printing and borrowing money. That's what causes inflation, not the growth of the economy. I Mean, I remember, how disgusted I was every time Obama would say, you know, we've got to get used to less. And that 1% growth was somehow something, you know, that was the new order. That was the way things would be functioning in the future. And we Americans would just have to get used to less, God forbid. That's not even who we are. I mean, I don't mean to go off on a rabbit trail, but that's the reason why a lot of people didn't believe that Barack Obama was an American citizen. I believe that Barack Obama was an American citizen, by the way. I didn't subscribe to that, but I understood why people thought that, because he always seemed to approach America like some kind of foreigner looking at America critically, rather than American citizens looking at America gratefully. And he used to lecture us about how we have to get used to less. And, you know, Americans have too much. Well, you know, as far as I'm concerned, if he thinks Americans have too much, start with himself and unload all that money he's made on politics. But, you know, as always, these people are so hypocritical. You don't hear him saying, you know what, folks? I made $100 million. But I said many times, we don't need that much money. I'm getting rid of $99 million. My wife and I are going to live modestly on just what we think we need, to support us during our retirement. I mean, the man's getting a pension as a result of being President of the United States. I forget what it is, but I think it's somewhere in the vicinity of about a half million dollars a year pension money. Not to mention all the other money he's making. The Netflix contract, the book contracts, the speaking engagements. And then to hear that, you know, some of the contractors who helped build that monstrosity of a library in the heart of Killcago, because that's what it is. A place where people just get murdered day by day. But built that monstrosity, and a lot of the subcontractors who worked on it haven't been paid. Apparently, there are $100 million in debt on that thing, but that's another matter.
Today marks the 250th year of our nation's existence
Well, look, this is probably the last time I'm going to have an opportunity to talk to you before the 4th, before the 250th year of our nation's existence. And I hope that you are going to enjoy that day and celebrate that day and thank God for that day. Thank God that you and I are alive to See that day because it is a milestone, a quarter of a millennium. Our Founding Fathers, except by the spirit of the prophetic and prophecy, could not possibly have seen what this nation has become. only God could. But God did. You know, I've often said God didn't look up from his throne one day and see the United States of America emerging as the most wealthy and powerful nation on earth and say, well, would you look at that. Wow. Never saw that one coming. No. God ordained this nation before the foundation of the world. And that's what the Founding Fathers meant when they called us a, providential nation. That we were ordained by divine providence to be a beacon light of hope and opportunity and a, ah, herald of truth to the entire world. And America has done that. I mentioned earlier how much we give to charity. I think I did, with regard to this Venezuelan earthquake. but folks, we have promoted the gospel of Jesus Christ more than any other nation that's ever existed in the 2000 years since Jesus went back to heaven. And it's not even close. So, yes, we are, a blessed nation. And you and I are part of that blessing. So God bless America. Land that I love Stand behind her and guide her with the light from the light with the light from the light up above through the night with the light from above I think that's the way the song goes. But from the mountains to the prairies to the oceans White with foam God bless America My home sweet home and my favorite patriotic hymn. I'll end with this. My country Tis of thee Sweet land of liberty of thee I sing Land where my fathers died Land of the pilgrim's pride from every mountainside Let freedom ring. And the last verse of that song is a prayer. Because this nation was, birthed in and steeped in prayer from the very beginning and remains so. Our Father's God to thee Author of liberty to thee we sing Long may our land be bright with freedom's holy light Protect us by Thy might Great God our king God bless each and every one of you. Have a happy Independence day. A wonderful Fourth of July, wonderful celebration of the 250th anniversary of our country. Tell your children and your grandchildren why this day is so important. And don't forget, in order for us to meet the future, whatever it holds, until Jesus comes, stand up, step up, speak up. And refuse to back up. Because we cannot be defeated if we will not quit. Because we are on God's side. Happy 4th, everybody. God bless.
