Abraham Hamilton III Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the Hamilton Corner here on American Family Radio. I'm your host, Abraham Hamilton iii, joined by the corner contingent right across from me, a rather grumpy Mr. Bobby Rosa, who is asking me, well, Abe, if they can do that, why don't they do it? I gotta have more cowboys. Gotta, gotta have it, gotta have it. And in the screening room, produce extraordinaire. Often imitated, never duplicated. The real J. Mac. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Jeff McIntosh. And we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition of the program. Did I give you the Bobby Rosa? I was trying to put my smiley face. Trying to. Oh, he's, he's ungrumpifying, ladies and gentlemen, as we speak. Just like a bear comes out of hibernation, Mr. Rosa is ungrumpifying before my very eyes. At this very moment. Many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income, to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family. There are lots of things happening. I mean, Joe Kent offered his resignation as the director for the Office of Counterterrorism today. The SAVE act is on the floor in the Senate with the debate opening for the bill. And I'll, kind, of explain some of the technical details there as to what's going on there, how it works, how do you invoke cloture and what's going on with that? but just to say it right out of the gate, the opening of debate on the legislation is not nearly the conclusion of the matter. And we'll get into that in a moment as well. And color me shocked, but did you all see the Qatari, journalistic mouthpiece that is Al Jazeera? I don't know how many people know this, but they're funded by Qatar. they allowed an op ed to be published in their publication supporting the US operation in Iran. Didn't see that one coming. Did not see that one coming and even took on the idea that, you know, the popular narrative around this is one thing. But what, what I'm witnessing, and I'm in Doha, I'm witnessing a strategic dismantling of a threatening regime. Didn't add that on today's bingo card, you know, but before we get into all of that, and those things are clearly important, they're not more important than what goes on in your home and in my home. They're not, guys. They're not. They're not. Much of what has befallen our country is a corresponding reality to what has been in many instances a failure for us to make disciples, starting right in our own homes. And this is not a time to cry over spilled milk, so to speak. I can't tell you the number of people that I come across who tell me, abe, I didn't realize I was supposed to be making disciples in my home. I didn't even realize that. Or he'll, tell me, you know, I never thought about what God required of me. I just did what was normal for us. And I get that. But the purpose of my admonition of the full time job versus the part time job is to reverse that trend. And I'm grateful that I get notes and things and people are saying, man, Abe, I see it, I see it. God, has opened my eyes to it. Thank you for continuing to press that message. Because now I see it. I am grateful for that. But we must continue, guys, to press it so that every joint supplies. And if you stand back and you see, the palpable, prevalent ignorance that's in our country, and I don't mean that as a majority, I mean, people literally do not know it should place fire on the stove to be about our Father's business in our day, in our time. You know, I just, I saw a, thing just earlier today when a girl said, yeah, yeah, my friend was overseas. He was in Connecticut, overseas in Connecticut. That was a person speaking from the United States of America saying, yeah, my friend was overseas in Connecticut. I'm like, connecticut, overseas? But, guys, that's what's happening, and I understand it. And whenever we're tempted to say, well, these young people don't know anything, don't forget all of these young people come from somebody's homes. But if we would take it upon ourselves to respond to what God requires of us, each one of us, home by home, family by family, neighborhood by neighborhood, man, we could see the Lord turn to turn the tide in our country. And as I said, Yesterday and today we're going to talk quite a bit in relationship, to the conversation Yesterday from James 4 about resisting the devil, and he having no obligation but to flee as he is, as we antistomy the devil. Right. Instead of looking at the macro scale, only man, let's live locally. I may not be able to go to every state in the union, but I could start in my home. I can bat down the hatches at home. I can be faithful where I am. I can bloom where I'm planted. We all can bloom where we are planted. In fact, we must bloom where we're planted. To the word of God we go.
The life of a Christ follower inevitably requires relying upon the Lord's strength
Psalm 28. Psalm 28 is where we're going to begin. if you are in a place where you're not driving, don't do this if you're driving. But if you're not driving, if you're taking notes, you want to. May want to write down a cross reference because the corresponding cross reference to Psalm 28 is 2nd Samuel, chapter 15. And what do we have in 2nd Samuel chapter 15? This is when, Absalom's conspiracy comes to fruition and David ends up having to flee for his life. In Psalm 28 is written as David is fleeing from Absalom. All right? And that context is important because it will underscore what is being said in this psalm that David has penned, which is actually a prayer to Yahweh. And In Psalm 28, verses 7 and 8, David says this. The Lord is my strength and my shield. In him my heart trusts, and I am, helped, and my heart exalts, and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people. He is the saving refuge of his anointed. I'm bringing that to your attention, guys, because the life of a Christ follower is one that inevitably requires us to rely upon the Lord's strength. Following Messiah is not a life lived on flowery beds of ease. There will be not, maybe there will be various times and seasons where we are required to do hard things, to do things that are exceedingly challenging and difficult. The thing that we must become fully persuaded of is God summons us to these moments not to rely upon our own strength, as we alluded to yesterday, that we wrestle not merely against flesh and blood. God told us that. Ephesians, chapter 6. The Lord told us that we don't wrestle merely, merely against flesh and blood. So if we recognize that, why would we try to engage merely with flesh and blood? The Lord's strength is a necessary tool And God knows us so well. We have the articulation in Acts, chapter one, that the maximum efficacy of being indwelled by the Spirit of God is so that we can function as God calls us to, that we're not filled with God's spirit. So we can sit around and. And, you know, pontificate about being filled with the Spirit. We're filled with God's spirit to enable us to obey what God calls us to, to execute what God calls us to. So developing the muscle memory, if you will, the life habit, if you will, of relying upon, drawing upon, utilizing the Lord's strength is foundationally necessary for every single believer. One of the things that it has to include is our ability to discern. And I'm going to get to this a little bit more in this next segment, but a lot of things that's happening, you know, with. With these podcasters doing their keyboard warrior warrioring and calling each other names and doing all this kind of stuff that you get these same jokers in person, man, they wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight. But behind the, behind the keyboard, oh, man, they talking like the Hercules, the Incredible Hulk, and Samson all wrapped up in one. And what you don't realize is that there, there is a rock thrower. Remember we talked about old Jonadab? Oh, Jonadab is behind the scenes when, when the whole Amnon Tamar phenomenon occurred. Go back and read that account. Jonadab. Jonadab is the one who gave Amnon the wicked scheme that resulted in rape. Then Jonadab was on the other side, agitating for the rape to end up in murder, where Amnon is then murdered, Jonadab throwing the rock and hiding his hand. And in this instance, I'm using Jonadab as a stand in for the devil. I said yesterday the momentum that the Lord was moving our nation toward as the gospel was proclaimed to one of the largest audiences in the history of the world at Charlie Kirk's funeral. And immediately after that, you have all of this bickering and this partisan, all this kind of stuff, and even a lot of Christians getting wrapped up in it, saying, man, zoom out, zoom out. And what's not being witnessed is that the gospel imperative is being submerged by all of this bickering. And the effort is meant to demoralize, to demoralize the robust Christian witness and to get people who may be inclined to utilize the biblical worldview as it pertains to civic engagement to get them to throw in the towel. Aw, see, all this is lost. That's not what God would have us to do. But the strength of the Lord is required to develop the type of discernment that we need to be able to tune out what needs to be tuned out. In the United States of America, we have the First Amendment, the freedom, the freedom of speech is a blessing that God has allowed us to be allowed us to have. That is an intrinsic, inalienable right. I would articulate that government exists to protect and through the exchange of ideas, we have the capacity to have the bad ideas fall by the wayside and the cream of the crop ideas come to the top. But it's not an occasion. It's not an occasion to be demoralized and to be intimidated away from standing flat footed 10 toes down in commitment to the gospel and proclaiming the gospel and making disciples and having the real time external application of our biblical worldview to the freedom that we get to enjoy joy and participating in civic engagement. But you let these keyboard warriors and talking heads cause you to look sideways at your neighbor and make assumptions and not even engage. No, brothers and sisters, the Lord is our strength. The Lord is our strength. The Lord is our shield. In him our hearts trust. And as a result we are enabled in light of that. My heart exalts one of the things we can use to check ourselves as to what's going on. Have we found anything to express gratitude and worship the Lord for today? Or have we been so bogged down with the news of the day and the political bickering and all this other kind of stuff, you haven't even stopped to think, wait a minute, I haven't even even expressed any gratitude. I, I, I haven't, I haven't found anything to express thanksgiving for. Even in the midst of the Babylonian exile, this is where we get our hymn. Great is Thy Faithfulness from the Book of Lamentations. Jeremiah, in the midst of the things he prophesied that would happen, and then he's witnessing them happening and the carnage is unfolding around him, but then he's able to stand and say, great is your faithfulness. Guys, it's high time for the body of Christ to be the body of Christ. You've heard me say it before. The idea of us going to church really is a misnomer. We're not supposed to go to something, we're supposed to be. We are called to be the church. And the only way we can do that effectively is by relying on the strength of Our Lord. Romans 12 explains plainly as we resist the temptation to be conformed to this world. The corresponding reality is that we are transformed by the consistent and continual renewing of our minds. And as our minds are renewed continually, our, capacity for discernment is sharpened, not merely distinguishing right from wrong, as Charles Spurgeon said, but distinguishing right from almost right.

Hamilton: Ask the Lord what do you want me to do
Joseph Parker My encouragement and challenge to every single listener is that you pray and ask the Lord the question, Lord, what do you want me to do? You know, that's the prayer that Paul prayed right after he received Christ and put his faith in the Lord on the road to Damascus. He asked the question, lord, what do you want me to do? And as it relates to following and serving the Lord, that's a wise question. To pray, actually, every single day. It's a good prayer and a question to ask the Lord every day, Lord, what do you want me to do? And as it relates to being involved in this important cause of standing for life and standing against the tragedy of abortion, the question and prayer is a wise one. To pray, lord, what do you want me to do? There are many that God would have them to become faithful intercessors who pray every day. Lots of spiritual warfare happens around every pregnancy clinic, and lots of spiritual warfare happens around abortion clinics as well.

Today Senator John Thune introduced what is expected to be a marathon fight
Abraham Hamilton III Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I was gonna start with the Joe Kent situation, and, which is a. Which is a pretty big deal. It's a pretty big deal. but before I want to get there, I want to talk a little bit about the SAVE act and more specifically, the procedural realities that's happening. because if you recall, at first, Senator John Thune was not too enthused. Enthused. See what I did there? Yeah. He wasn't enthused to bring the Save America act to the floor, which the House of Representatives have now voted on at least three times to pass. Each time the measure has died in the Senate. You must not forget Senator, John Thune, was and is a Mitch McConnell disciple. When he became the Senate Majority Leader, some of you may recall, AFA came out against him to become a Senate Majority Leader. And this is a part of the reason why, because we knew that, well, he was and is a McConnell disciple. So his handling of the Senate will be pretty much identical to what Mitch McConnell would do. But in spite of Thune's initial response to it, thanks to listeners like you contacting your senators, and I'm going to tell you now, I'm going to ask you to contact them again because though people might say the numbers don't look good, you have all this kind of stuff. I'm going to just say what I've said before. If you have Republican majorities, understand they're very slim in the House of Representatives. But remember the SAVE act passed the House three times, at least three times. Now the holdup has been in the Senate and you have a 53 to 47 majority in the Senate. Now 53 is not a filibuster proof 61 votes or 60 votes I should say in the Senate. But it is a 53 to 47 majority. All right, a 53 to 47 majority is enough to change Senate rules as needed. I've previously gone with you guys through the history of the filibuster how every time it's changed, it's been changed with a simple majority of Democrat senators when they did not have a filibuster proof majority. The reason the way we got to the 60 threshold number is because the Democrats changed it because previously the threshold was 2/3 66 votes. But the Democrats didn't have 66 votes at the time, so they changed the threshold to 60 votes. Today Senator Thune introduced what is expected to be a marathon fight in the Senate over the Save America Act. You recall Senator Chucky Duck Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader has said the Democrats will not vote, not one Democrat will vote for the Save America act because it is. Stop me if you heard this before Jim Crow 2.0 and I shared right here on this program when he explained his reasoning for it, he said well you know it's gonna hurt minorities, you know, because minority women don't know how to change their light, driver's licenses and IDs after they get married so they won't be able to vote. To which we. That's a flat lie that that is the consistent Democrat response when they really I don't have any arguments or opposes but I'm just throw out what I hope is going to grow legs and run once I say it. But who needs the Democrats to oppose it with ridiculous logic when you have a small spattering of non conservative Republicans. Mm So I want to explain some of the technical realities. So the opening of debate on the measure is a, is a routine thing. Senator Thune led that today. But the issue is when a. When debate has been opened on a bill, Senate rules allow senators to filibuster a bill which will prevent it from coming to a final vote on the merits of the measure, the determination of debate after debates have all taken place. Determination of debates is what is called invoking cloture. So you can move to vote on the bill on. On the merits. Now, just being. Having a bill brought to the floor is a significant step that wouldn't have happened if you didn't. Contact your senators and tell them what you need to do. Tell them what you wanted them to do, which I'm going to ask you to do again. Contact your senators and demand of them a vote on the record for the Save America act on the merits. Not just a cloture vote, but a vote on the merits. All right. It may seem like the numbers are not there, and I explain why, because right now you already had, you know, one senator, a Republican senator, Lisa Murkowski, you know, who's pro abortion, Lisa Murkowski, who opposed even starting debate on the bill, and Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina didn't vote one way or the other. So to all my North Carolina listeners, you think you want to give Thom Tillis a little buzzy buzz, yo? Thom, I heard you didn't want to. You, you, you, you didn't vote to start debate on a bill that simply will require American citizens, citizens to be the only ones allowed to vote in U.S. elections. You have to be a citizen to register and you have to prove your identity when you vote. Simple, easy peasy. Now, in order to facilitate getting to a vote on the merits on this, Senator Mike Lee and others have said, why don't we amend the rules for the filibuster to require the filibuster to once again be a talking filibuster. Some of you may recall from, you know, Mr. Smith goes to Washington. The whole idea of the filibuster was if you want to prohibit a vote on the merits, or to say it more specifically, to continue debate on the bill, you actually have to be on the floor debating, which means you have to be up on your feet at the lectern speaking about the bill. Mm Because as it stands right now, the senators could just send a little noting note, say, by the way, I filibuster this bill, and then they can go, go wherever, and you never get to vote on the bill on the measure on the merits. So so far, the Senate rules have not been adjusted. But here, here's the thing. And this, this is just an idea. I'm not saying you have to take my idea, but because you have a 53 to 47 majority and because you can change Senate rules with A simple majority of Senators, why not imposed a talking filibuster for this bill only. Do you realize they could do that? In fact, the, the Republicans in the Senate, they could actually lower the threshold to 53 votes if they wanted to. Right now they're not going to do that, but they could. And I say that just so you can be armed with information when you call your Senators because they're going to try to rope a dope you with all kinds of big words and all kinds of a Senate rule, gobbly gook and Roberts rules of orders, record and, and simply put, they're lying if they say that because all that's required to change the rules is a simple majority. And guess what? Guess what else they could do. And I said to you guys before in there, they could actually change the threshold to 53 votes for now and then put it back to 60 votes if they wanted to. Again, they're not going to do that and I'm not recommending them to do that. But I just want you to know all of the options that they have available to them. And I'll come again to my initial point. What good is a Republican Party if you can't even get a majority of Republicans to pass a bill that would require a simple citizenship to vote and proof of ID to vote? The expectations are they're going to be efforts to add all kinds of amendments to the bill. They're going to try to do some other things to the bill. And when you contact your senators, you just tell them very plainly, man, I'm interested in US Citizens alone being allowed to vote and ID being required when people vote in American federal elections. Period. That's all it is. We don't need to add all of this stuff to the bill. We just need to pass a measure to protect American citizens franchise to vote from the scores of illegal aliens who have been allowed into our country. That's. It shouldn't be that hard. We ran the numbers for you before. 76% of Democrat voters support this. 80 plus percent of, of Republican voters support this. The percentage of voters who support it increases every year. The thing that's stopping it are the elected officials. Which should cause you to begin to ask, why don't, why do they want to make sure it's just American citizens that can vote in American elections? This should be an easy pass, guys. And here's the other thing. Even if the Republicans think that the vote won't pass, force the, force the senators to put their vote on record because this is the rope A dope. They do. Guys, just so you know, this is how the game is played.
Republicans hide behind the cloture vote, the in debate vote, filibuster
You have a bill, let's say I have a bill passed, that Bobby can no longer wear AFA hats in studio. Right? That's the bill. Right. But it's presented in the Senate, you see. And so what do we do? We hide behind the cloture vote, the in debate vote, the filibuster. And what ends up happening, let's say in this instance, hypothetically, the Republicans, they know their voters wouldn't, their constituents wouldn't support Bobby being prohibited from wearing his AFA hat in studio. But they don't want Bobby to wear his AFA hat in studio, you see, because they want to support all kinds of networks, they want to support npr, and they want to support all these others, but they also want a campaign and saying, man, we want people to be able to wear the airframe paraphernalia wherever they go. So how do they do that? What they do is hide behind the clutcher vote, you see? So what ends up happening is before you get to the bill on the merits, can Bobby wear his hat or not wear his hat, you have a procedural vote on cloture. And it takes 60 votes to invoke cloture, which means to terminate debate and move on to vote on the bill on the merits. So you have several, in this instance, Republicans who won't vote during the cloture vote, kind of like Thom Tillis did today. He didn't vote to open debate on the Save America Act. So you have some Republicans who won't vote for it, and then you have others who will vote for it because they really want Bobby to wear his hat. You have the Democrats that oppose, and by gosh, you know what? We only had 52 votes in favor of invoking cloture on Bobby's AFA hat legislation. And so then some of the same senators who didn't vote in favor of Bobby wearing his hat to invoke coach, they'll go home and say, can you believe Washington is working against us? You understand what I'm saying? Washington was working. He can't get anything done in Washington. It's hopeless gridlock. We can't get anything accomplished. And there's no record, there's no record of the vote actually on the merits as to whether or not Bobby can wear his hat. There's no record of that. All you, when you go to try to look it up, all you see is cloture votes. And if you don't know how the process works, you would be deceived into thinking, well, I have. I have a rip fighting for me in D.C. when truth. In truth. In truth, there is a reality called a uni party. You see how the game is played. So don't. Don't let them play it on. On this one. If. If there is. If there is not. If there is something that should be a easy haul over the finish line, surely, surely it is. We just need to make sure it's only American citizens that's voting in federal elections. Don't you think? Some asked, well, how. How did they get the one big beautiful bill passed? They use a procedure called reconciliation. What is reconciliation? For financial. For financial measures. The Senate rules. Here we go. The Senate rules. The same Senate rules. I'm talking about that Governor filibuster. The Senate rules allows US Senators once annually during. During each Congress, during each Congress, for the senators to vote on one bill that has to do with financial matters that doesn't require the 60 vote threshold. Y' all want to know how they came up with that? It was a Senate rule. A Senate rule passed by a simple majority of the senators. Some saying, why can't you use the Senate rules to do what the American people want? And it's one of the things. That's why I keep saying this. They want to have a demoralized populace. They want people to throw up their hands and say, ah, see, man, it's hopeless. Because the more disengaged the American people are, the easier it is for chicanery to go forward. Like, here's. Here's a perfect example. Remember all of the energy and fervor around doge. Remember that? Somebody want to tell me how many bills have been passed to codify the cuts to the federal budget from what the DOGE discovered? it's enough to make you sick. But in this instance, it's vitally important that you refuse to disengage. You refuse to disengage. Let your senators know where you stand and what you require. Simple as that. So debate has opened on the measure. This is one thing that needs to be passed.
Joe Kent announced his resignation as director of the National Counter Terrorism Center
All right, I'm gonna move on. So today I want to explain a little bit of this information. So Joe Kent announces resignation today from his position as the director of the National Counter Terrorism Center. That is a position that works within the office of the Director of National Intelligence. So it's an intelligence position. All right. Joe Kent is a military veteran, a former Army Greene, Greene Beret, CIA, paramilitary officer who's had 11 combat deployments I'm thankful. The American people are thankful for his service. But just because you, you, you have been a veteran, that doesn't give you a pass on everything you want to do going forward. His first wife and people asking me, Wade, isn't he married to a, to a woman who's hostile Israel? He had a wife before who was killed in combat at 35 years old. She was killed by ISIS. All right, he since remarried and his current wife is not his former wife. All right. Joe Kent ran for Congress in 2022. And just I posted something about this on my social media feed. He, ran in the Republican primary in Washington state against my friend Heidi St. John. You've heard her on this show before. and he, he beat Heidi, Heidi in the primary and Joe Kent then went on to, lose in the general election. And then after that, President Trump tapped him for this position, in the office of the Director of National Intelligence. He announced his resignation today in what he said was that it was in protest of the Iran, Iran war. But I want to show you some things that joking today is seemingly contradicting what joking has said in 2016 and in 2020. And then also, is his resignation truly a, an honest opposition to the, to the conflict in Iran or something else happening? We'll get into that in this next segment.

Abraham Hamilton III here. as I've, I shared Ah, Heidi St. John's post on, on my Book of Faces feed for the Hamilton Corner. she explains that and, and this probably will help you process Joe Ken's resignation letter that he published that he posted publicly on X that apparently Joe Kent is friends with Tucker Carlsen. So that that might aid you. Heidi shared that in her primary campaign against Joe Kent, Tucker Carlsen would have Joe Kent on the air all the time. And when her campaign reached out for equal time, Tucker Carlsen refused to have her on anytime at all. Did not allow him on at all. And so because he had an Internet streaming show and the Internet is not governed by FCC regulations that he had no obligation to allow Heidi St. John onto his show though he had Joe Kent on over and over and over and over again. Kind of like when CBS and yes, Colbert wanted to have James Talarico on but did not want to have Jasmine Crockett on. What did he do? He refused to air the show on the television network and did put it where on the Internet on YouTube. All right, get into a little bit of his letter. So in his letter Joe Kent says the reason for his resignation was until, well let me go back to the beginning. I'm not going to read the whole letter because it's, it's a long letter. But he, he included in his letter, quote, I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation and it's clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. Quote, high ranking Israeli officials and members of the media had deployed a misinformation campaign to undermine America. First, this echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States and that you should strike now. That there was a clear path to victory after. I'm sorry. So effective immediately, he's resigning. Simply put, he's saying that Iran wasn't an imminent threat. You, President Trump, you're just a rube. You got played, man. You were just a tool to do Israel's bidding. That's, that's what he, what he said. Kind of just like this current fancy. The Jews, the Jews, you see, the Jews are secretly running the world. You know, this is what he's saying. Guys, I just want to zoom out for a bit again. Discernment. It's kind of, kind of, kind of interesting how all of a sudden all of these voices. Previously, antisemitism was a thing on the left, but now you see it happening, right? Like I said before, I really believe that it's a demonic effort to cause a demoralization to take place. Now this is America. If you have criticisms about the state of Israel, that's fine, you can talk about that. But to say things like to delegitimize a homeland for the Jewish people, what is that all about? What is that all about? You know, it's remarkable how this is unfolding, but Joe Kent today doesn't sound like Joe Kent from just two minutes ago, if you will. Mr. McIntosh, would you put up just a little bit of, Mr. Joe Kent's history because he's sounding a lot different now than the way he sounded

Abraham Hamilton III in January 2020. Joe Kent, the same Joe Kent would write, quote, the red line is American loss of life and Iranian nuclear nuke development. I personally think we should have crushed their ballistic and nuclear capabilities. He said capes. But Trump has a plan. He has definitely earned the confidence of any clear eyed observer in, quote, that's what he said in 2020, September 2024, quote, Trump used the balance of diplomacy, economic pressure and targeted strikes to contain Iran, the embodiment of peace through strength. October 2020 24, Joe Kent quote, October 7th happened because Biden Harris gave Iran access to over $100 billion. Trump used diplomacy to build the Abraham Accords, cut off Iran's funding and killed key terrorists. America and our allies were safe and there was less war. No more neocons, no appeasement. Trump, 2024. So what, what happened to Joe Kent now? And there's more. I just read a few of them. There's more. so what, what happened to Joe Kent? And then here's the thing, if you're going to make the accusation and this is that, guys, this is a big deal for a host of reasons. He's literally saying. He's literally saying that President Trump was just a rube. You know, he got played, he got duped. You know, the Israelis, they deceived him. All right, cool. Show the proof. What I'm saying, cool is if that is what you're saying, what's the proof of that? What proof of that? You know, it's kind of. It's kind of, Candace Owensy, to where you make these grand accusations. But, but something, something that substantial, does that not bear. Does that not require some kind of substantiation? Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana, my home state, said, quote, joe Kent is clearly wrong. I got all the briefings. We all understood there was clearly an imminent threat, that Iran was very close to the enrichment of nuclear capability and they were building missiles at a place that no one in the region could keep up with. That's what Speaker Johnson said. So if you're going to make. Again, I want to know this. If you have evidence of this Joe Kent, if this is what you're asserting is true, the merit in this is you're making a conscientious objection based on this show. What's the evidence for that? Or since you just, you're just making claims. Their reports that are indicating. The real issue that Joe Kent is upset about, and this is being reported currently, is that the real issue is that Joe Kent was found to be a leaker. Now, how are you going to work in the office of the Director of National Intelligence, but you're going to leak information, including potentially to America's enemies? And because Joe Kent was identified as a leaker, the Trump administration was in conversation with Tulsi Gabbard to fire Joe Kent. You understand me? And in the process, you have the Director of Counterterrorism who had been excluded from classified briefings. Mm, mm, And for months, he had been cut out of classified briefings and he was mad about it. So he, you know, if we gonna just say, some stuff. He tried to get out in front of what was about to be a pink slip. But he want to short circuit the pink slip by saying, no, no, you ain't fire me. I quit. Why you crying? Have you ever heard that before? Nah, I didn't get fired. I quit. If it is true that he had been excluded from the classified briefings, wouldn't it also be true that this fool don't know what he's talking about because he wouldn't have the Information that indicated whether or not there was a classified threat if he had been excluded from the classified briefings.
Abe Owens: Before you conclude that Joe Kent is on a righteous crusade
So all I'm saying. And listen, I'm not trying to tell anybody here to take sides. We. All I'm saying is, before you conclude that Joe Kent is on a righteous crusade, I would encourage you to require evidence before you make that conclusion. That's all I'm saying. And if he has evidence that the President has been deceived, put it on the table, my man, because it is exceedingly irresponsible for you to make such a grandiose claim. And just like Jonadab, throw your rock and hide your hand because you can read tea leaves, because. Because of the political moment and because your homeboy, Tucker Carlsen, some might call him Katarlson, is. It sounds like some of the same stuff Tucker has been saying. And these are things that completely contradict with Joe Kent said, just a couple years ago. I'll tell you this, and I've said this. My friend Heidi St. John ran against Joe Kent in the primary because she believed that Joe Kent was not a constitutionalist, and she felt that her state required true, clear, godly constitutional representation. But she didn't want to kick up a fuss about it because she felt like Joe Kent was better than a Democrat candidate who was running in a general election. So she decided not to attack Joe Kent once they got to the general election. That's what she told me herself. But she tried to warn President Trump about Joe Kent before President Trump ever nominated him to this position. And I understand it because of his, you know, his. His history as a. As a veteran, a former Greene Beret, and having a wife who was killed by isis. And by the way, ISIS is largely funded by who? ISIS was largely funded by who? Iran? I don't know about you, but if I know somebody is responsible for funding the group that ultimately killed my wife, m. You say? What's that? Huh? Yeah. Okay. But to say there was no evidence, I'm just going to tell you, if I have to consider Speaker Mike Johnson, who I told you before, I trust Mike Johnson. You know, there were some things when the Ukraine thing were happening that I was like, man, I have questions. But ultimately, I, trust Speaker Johnson. If Joe Kent had been excluded from the intelligence briefings for months, wouldn't it also be true that he wouldn't know what the intelligence information was that led to the decision? And some of you might might say, well, Abe, he was the Director of Counterterrorism. If he was suspected of being A leaker. So much so, were there conversations about his terminate termination of his employment? Wouldn't he be excluded from those briefings? Now, if that is not true, the burden is on Joe Kent. If he's going to say something as substantive and significant as saying the United States of America was led into a military conflict flicked by deceit, you have the burden of showing that, homie. You can't just make that accusation and then walk down the street like you in the, you know, you speed walking, you know, you know, one of those Olympic speed walkers, you know, I quit in speed walk down the street. And he says that my resignation is effective as of today. Now, I'm not purported to know everything that goes on in D.C. because I'm not in D.C. and if he has more information that I don't have, then that is entirely, a possibility. But again, if you are going to make the accusation that the President of the United States of America was. Was deceived, you have an obligation to support that with proof. You can't just say that and just casually speed on like it ain't nothing. That's what I'm saying. And I'm not even going to get into his current wife's affiliations and her employment. But let's just say, the allegedly Hezbollah affiliated. I'm not gonna throw that. I'm not, I'm. I'm not gonna include that in the calculus because I think it's sufficient to say that if you're gonna make that accusation, you got to support it. But I do understand, How this is happening. So I just. Man, as I said in the very beginning of the program, I believe much of this that is happening, the, the keyboard warriors that are throwing mud at each other online and, you know, he notices. It's similar to the whole Candace Owens thing. If you notice I haven't spent a lot of time on her because I don't want to waste time on her. But she makes his accusation and keeps saying, I'm gonna show you this, I'm gonna show this. I'm sure this. And when it's, well, where's the proof? She moves on to another topic. I agree. In the marketplace of ideas. I agree. In an exchange of ideas, I agree that if you have a point and a counterpoint, and I believe that the presidential administration is best served by having those that, that are among the range of perspectives. I think it's good to have people that are very hesitant, very reluctant to be willing to consent to kinetic military action. And you have those who have a divergent opinion. I want our president to have advice from all the best counselors. But if you're going to make the accusation that he was just deceived, you got to support that. You can't throw that out just like it's an armchair opinion. You have to support that man. And before anybody would. Would embrace what Joe, Ken is saying, I think it's responsible to say that's what you're saying, Joe. what is the evidence that that actually happened? What's the evidence that that actually happened? And if you don't have any evidence, then you need to be challenged for publicly being so irresponsible. I gotta have more cowboys. Gotta, gotta have it, gotta have it. And in the screening room, produce extraordinaire. Often imitated, never duplicated. The real J. Mac. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Jeff McIntosh. And we are ready to rock and roll with today's edition of the program. Did I give you the Bobby Rosa? I was trying to put my smiley face. Trying to. Oh, he's, he's ungrumpifying, ladies and gentlemen, as we speak. Just like a bear comes out of hibernation, Mr. Rosa is ungrumpifying before my very eyes. At this very moment. Many of you, if not most of you, are making your transition from your part time jobs where you generate an income, to your full time jobs where you cultivate an outcome. And as you do so, I want to remind you to do so with intentionality, understanding the primacy that God places on family. There are lots of things happening. I mean, Joe Kent offered his resignation as the director for the Office of Counterterrorism today. The SAVE act is on the floor in the Senate with the debate opening for the bill. And I'll, kind, of explain some of the technical details there as to what's going on there, how it works, how do you invoke cloture and what's going on with that? but just to say it right out of the gate, the opening of debate on the legislation is not nearly the conclusion of the matter. And we'll get into that in a moment as well. And color me shocked, but did you all see the Qatari, journalistic mouthpiece that is Al Jazeera? I don't know how many people know this, but they're funded by Qatar. they allowed an op ed to be published in their publication supporting the US operation in Iran. Didn't see that one coming. Did not see that one coming and even took on the idea that, you know, the popular narrative around this is one thing. But what, what I'm witnessing, and I'm in Doha, I'm witnessing a strategic dismantling of a threatening regime. Didn't add that on today's bingo card, you know, but before we get into all of that, and those things are clearly important, they're not more important than what goes on in your home and in my home. They're not, guys. They're not. They're not. Much of what has befallen our country is a corresponding reality to what has been in many instances a failure for us to make disciples, starting right in our own homes. And this is not a time to cry over spilled milk, so to speak. I can't tell you the number of people that I come across who tell me, abe, I didn't realize I was supposed to be making disciples in my home. I didn't even realize that. Or he'll, tell me, you know, I never thought about what God required of me. I just did what was normal for us. And I get that. But the purpose of my admonition of the full time job versus the part time job is to reverse that trend. And I'm grateful that I get notes and things and people are saying, man, Abe, I see it, I see it. God, has opened my eyes to it. Thank you for continuing to press that message. Because now I see it. I am grateful for that. But we must continue, guys, to press it so that every joint supplies. And if you stand back and you see, the palpable, prevalent ignorance that's in our country, and I don't mean that as a majority, I mean, people literally do not know it should place fire on the stove to be about our Father's business in our day, in our time. You know, I just, I saw a, thing just earlier today when a girl said, yeah, yeah, my friend was overseas. He was in Connecticut, overseas in Connecticut. That was a person speaking from the United States of America saying, yeah, my friend was overseas in Connecticut. I'm like, connecticut, overseas? But, guys, that's what's happening, and I understand it. And whenever we're tempted to say, well, these young people don't know anything, don't forget all of these young people come from somebody's homes. But if we would take it upon ourselves to respond to what God requires of us, each one of us, home by home, family by family, neighborhood by neighborhood, man, we could see the Lord turn to turn the tide in our country. And as I said, Yesterday and today we're going to talk quite a bit in relationship, to the conversation Yesterday from James 4 about resisting the devil, and he having no obligation but to flee as he is, as we antistomy the devil. Right. Instead of looking at the macro scale, only man, let's live locally. I may not be able to go to every state in the union, but I could start in my home. I can bat down the hatches at home. I can be faithful where I am. I can bloom where I'm planted. We all can bloom where we are planted. In fact, we must bloom where we're planted. To the word of God we go.
The life of a Christ follower inevitably requires relying upon the Lord's strength
Psalm 28. Psalm 28 is where we're going to begin. if you are in a place where you're not driving, don't do this if you're driving. But if you're not driving, if you're taking notes, you want to. May want to write down a cross reference because the corresponding cross reference to Psalm 28 is 2nd Samuel, chapter 15. And what do we have in 2nd Samuel chapter 15? This is when, Absalom's conspiracy comes to fruition and David ends up having to flee for his life. In Psalm 28 is written as David is fleeing from Absalom. All right? And that context is important because it will underscore what is being said in this psalm that David has penned, which is actually a prayer to Yahweh. And In Psalm 28, verses 7 and 8, David says this. The Lord is my strength and my shield. In him my heart trusts, and I am, helped, and my heart exalts, and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people. He is the saving refuge of his anointed. I'm bringing that to your attention, guys, because the life of a Christ follower is one that inevitably requires us to rely upon the Lord's strength. Following Messiah is not a life lived on flowery beds of ease. There will be not, maybe there will be various times and seasons where we are required to do hard things, to do things that are exceedingly challenging and difficult. The thing that we must become fully persuaded of is God summons us to these moments not to rely upon our own strength, as we alluded to yesterday, that we wrestle not merely against flesh and blood. God told us that. Ephesians, chapter 6. The Lord told us that we don't wrestle merely, merely against flesh and blood. So if we recognize that, why would we try to engage merely with flesh and blood? The Lord's strength is a necessary tool And God knows us so well. We have the articulation in Acts, chapter one, that the maximum efficacy of being indwelled by the Spirit of God is so that we can function as God calls us to, that we're not filled with God's spirit. So we can sit around and. And, you know, pontificate about being filled with the Spirit. We're filled with God's spirit to enable us to obey what God calls us to, to execute what God calls us to. So developing the muscle memory, if you will, the life habit, if you will, of relying upon, drawing upon, utilizing the Lord's strength is foundationally necessary for every single believer. One of the things that it has to include is our ability to discern. And I'm going to get to this a little bit more in this next segment, but a lot of things that's happening, you know, with. With these podcasters doing their keyboard warrior warrioring and calling each other names and doing all this kind of stuff that you get these same jokers in person, man, they wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight. But behind the, behind the keyboard, oh, man, they talking like the Hercules, the Incredible Hulk, and Samson all wrapped up in one. And what you don't realize is that there, there is a rock thrower. Remember we talked about old Jonadab? Oh, Jonadab is behind the scenes when, when the whole Amnon Tamar phenomenon occurred. Go back and read that account. Jonadab. Jonadab is the one who gave Amnon the wicked scheme that resulted in rape. Then Jonadab was on the other side, agitating for the rape to end up in murder, where Amnon is then murdered, Jonadab throwing the rock and hiding his hand. And in this instance, I'm using Jonadab as a stand in for the devil. I said yesterday the momentum that the Lord was moving our nation toward as the gospel was proclaimed to one of the largest audiences in the history of the world at Charlie Kirk's funeral. And immediately after that, you have all of this bickering and this partisan, all this kind of stuff, and even a lot of Christians getting wrapped up in it, saying, man, zoom out, zoom out. And what's not being witnessed is that the gospel imperative is being submerged by all of this bickering. And the effort is meant to demoralize, to demoralize the robust Christian witness and to get people who may be inclined to utilize the biblical worldview as it pertains to civic engagement to get them to throw in the towel. Aw, see, all this is lost. That's not what God would have us to do. But the strength of the Lord is required to develop the type of discernment that we need to be able to tune out what needs to be tuned out. In the United States of America, we have the First Amendment, the freedom, the freedom of speech is a blessing that God has allowed us to be allowed us to have. That is an intrinsic, inalienable right. I would articulate that government exists to protect and through the exchange of ideas, we have the capacity to have the bad ideas fall by the wayside and the cream of the crop ideas come to the top. But it's not an occasion. It's not an occasion to be demoralized and to be intimidated away from standing flat footed 10 toes down in commitment to the gospel and proclaiming the gospel and making disciples and having the real time external application of our biblical worldview to the freedom that we get to enjoy joy and participating in civic engagement. But you let these keyboard warriors and talking heads cause you to look sideways at your neighbor and make assumptions and not even engage. No, brothers and sisters, the Lord is our strength. The Lord is our strength. The Lord is our shield. In him our hearts trust. And as a result we are enabled in light of that. My heart exalts one of the things we can use to check ourselves as to what's going on. Have we found anything to express gratitude and worship the Lord for today? Or have we been so bogged down with the news of the day and the political bickering and all this other kind of stuff, you haven't even stopped to think, wait a minute, I haven't even even expressed any gratitude. I, I, I haven't, I haven't found anything to express thanksgiving for. Even in the midst of the Babylonian exile, this is where we get our hymn. Great is Thy Faithfulness from the Book of Lamentations. Jeremiah, in the midst of the things he prophesied that would happen, and then he's witnessing them happening and the carnage is unfolding around him, but then he's able to stand and say, great is your faithfulness. Guys, it's high time for the body of Christ to be the body of Christ. You've heard me say it before. The idea of us going to church really is a misnomer. We're not supposed to go to something, we're supposed to be. We are called to be the church. And the only way we can do that effectively is by relying on the strength of Our Lord. Romans 12 explains plainly as we resist the temptation to be conformed to this world. The corresponding reality is that we are transformed by the consistent and continual renewing of our minds. And as our minds are renewed continually, our, capacity for discernment is sharpened, not merely distinguishing right from wrong, as Charles Spurgeon said, but distinguishing right from almost right.

Hamilton: Ask the Lord what do you want me to do
Joseph Parker My encouragement and challenge to every single listener is that you pray and ask the Lord the question, Lord, what do you want me to do? You know, that's the prayer that Paul prayed right after he received Christ and put his faith in the Lord on the road to Damascus. He asked the question, lord, what do you want me to do? And as it relates to following and serving the Lord, that's a wise question. To pray, actually, every single day. It's a good prayer and a question to ask the Lord every day, Lord, what do you want me to do? And as it relates to being involved in this important cause of standing for life and standing against the tragedy of abortion, the question and prayer is a wise one. To pray, lord, what do you want me to do? There are many that God would have them to become faithful intercessors who pray every day. Lots of spiritual warfare happens around every pregnancy clinic, and lots of spiritual warfare happens around abortion clinics as well.

Today Senator John Thune introduced what is expected to be a marathon fight
Abraham Hamilton III Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. I was gonna start with the Joe Kent situation, and, which is a. Which is a pretty big deal. It's a pretty big deal. but before I want to get there, I want to talk a little bit about the SAVE act and more specifically, the procedural realities that's happening. because if you recall, at first, Senator John Thune was not too enthused. Enthused. See what I did there? Yeah. He wasn't enthused to bring the Save America act to the floor, which the House of Representatives have now voted on at least three times to pass. Each time the measure has died in the Senate. You must not forget Senator, John Thune, was and is a Mitch McConnell disciple. When he became the Senate Majority Leader, some of you may recall, AFA came out against him to become a Senate Majority Leader. And this is a part of the reason why, because we knew that, well, he was and is a McConnell disciple. So his handling of the Senate will be pretty much identical to what Mitch McConnell would do. But in spite of Thune's initial response to it, thanks to listeners like you contacting your senators, and I'm going to tell you now, I'm going to ask you to contact them again because though people might say the numbers don't look good, you have all this kind of stuff. I'm going to just say what I've said before. If you have Republican majorities, understand they're very slim in the House of Representatives. But remember the SAVE act passed the House three times, at least three times. Now the holdup has been in the Senate and you have a 53 to 47 majority in the Senate. Now 53 is not a filibuster proof 61 votes or 60 votes I should say in the Senate. But it is a 53 to 47 majority. All right, a 53 to 47 majority is enough to change Senate rules as needed. I've previously gone with you guys through the history of the filibuster how every time it's changed, it's been changed with a simple majority of Democrat senators when they did not have a filibuster proof majority. The reason the way we got to the 60 threshold number is because the Democrats changed it because previously the threshold was 2/3 66 votes. But the Democrats didn't have 66 votes at the time, so they changed the threshold to 60 votes. Today Senator Thune introduced what is expected to be a marathon fight in the Senate over the Save America Act. You recall Senator Chucky Duck Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader has said the Democrats will not vote, not one Democrat will vote for the Save America act because it is. Stop me if you heard this before Jim Crow 2.0 and I shared right here on this program when he explained his reasoning for it, he said well you know it's gonna hurt minorities, you know, because minority women don't know how to change their light, driver's licenses and IDs after they get married so they won't be able to vote. To which we. That's a flat lie that that is the consistent Democrat response when they really I don't have any arguments or opposes but I'm just throw out what I hope is going to grow legs and run once I say it. But who needs the Democrats to oppose it with ridiculous logic when you have a small spattering of non conservative Republicans. Mm So I want to explain some of the technical realities. So the opening of debate on the measure is a, is a routine thing. Senator Thune led that today. But the issue is when a. When debate has been opened on a bill, Senate rules allow senators to filibuster a bill which will prevent it from coming to a final vote on the merits of the measure, the determination of debate after debates have all taken place. Determination of debates is what is called invoking cloture. So you can move to vote on the bill on. On the merits. Now, just being. Having a bill brought to the floor is a significant step that wouldn't have happened if you didn't. Contact your senators and tell them what you need to do. Tell them what you wanted them to do, which I'm going to ask you to do again. Contact your senators and demand of them a vote on the record for the Save America act on the merits. Not just a cloture vote, but a vote on the merits. All right. It may seem like the numbers are not there, and I explain why, because right now you already had, you know, one senator, a Republican senator, Lisa Murkowski, you know, who's pro abortion, Lisa Murkowski, who opposed even starting debate on the bill, and Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina didn't vote one way or the other. So to all my North Carolina listeners, you think you want to give Thom Tillis a little buzzy buzz, yo? Thom, I heard you didn't want to. You, you, you, you didn't vote to start debate on a bill that simply will require American citizens, citizens to be the only ones allowed to vote in U.S. elections. You have to be a citizen to register and you have to prove your identity when you vote. Simple, easy peasy. Now, in order to facilitate getting to a vote on the merits on this, Senator Mike Lee and others have said, why don't we amend the rules for the filibuster to require the filibuster to once again be a talking filibuster. Some of you may recall from, you know, Mr. Smith goes to Washington. The whole idea of the filibuster was if you want to prohibit a vote on the merits, or to say it more specifically, to continue debate on the bill, you actually have to be on the floor debating, which means you have to be up on your feet at the lectern speaking about the bill. Mm Because as it stands right now, the senators could just send a little noting note, say, by the way, I filibuster this bill, and then they can go, go wherever, and you never get to vote on the bill on the measure on the merits. So so far, the Senate rules have not been adjusted. But here, here's the thing. And this, this is just an idea. I'm not saying you have to take my idea, but because you have a 53 to 47 majority and because you can change Senate rules with A simple majority of Senators, why not imposed a talking filibuster for this bill only. Do you realize they could do that? In fact, the, the Republicans in the Senate, they could actually lower the threshold to 53 votes if they wanted to. Right now they're not going to do that, but they could. And I say that just so you can be armed with information when you call your Senators because they're going to try to rope a dope you with all kinds of big words and all kinds of a Senate rule, gobbly gook and Roberts rules of orders, record and, and simply put, they're lying if they say that because all that's required to change the rules is a simple majority. And guess what? Guess what else they could do. And I said to you guys before in there, they could actually change the threshold to 53 votes for now and then put it back to 60 votes if they wanted to. Again, they're not going to do that and I'm not recommending them to do that. But I just want you to know all of the options that they have available to them. And I'll come again to my initial point. What good is a Republican Party if you can't even get a majority of Republicans to pass a bill that would require a simple citizenship to vote and proof of ID to vote? The expectations are they're going to be efforts to add all kinds of amendments to the bill. They're going to try to do some other things to the bill. And when you contact your senators, you just tell them very plainly, man, I'm interested in US Citizens alone being allowed to vote and ID being required when people vote in American federal elections. Period. That's all it is. We don't need to add all of this stuff to the bill. We just need to pass a measure to protect American citizens franchise to vote from the scores of illegal aliens who have been allowed into our country. That's. It shouldn't be that hard. We ran the numbers for you before. 76% of Democrat voters support this. 80 plus percent of, of Republican voters support this. The percentage of voters who support it increases every year. The thing that's stopping it are the elected officials. Which should cause you to begin to ask, why don't, why do they want to make sure it's just American citizens that can vote in American elections? This should be an easy pass, guys. And here's the other thing. Even if the Republicans think that the vote won't pass, force the, force the senators to put their vote on record because this is the rope A dope. They do. Guys, just so you know, this is how the game is played.
Republicans hide behind the cloture vote, the in debate vote, filibuster
You have a bill, let's say I have a bill passed, that Bobby can no longer wear AFA hats in studio. Right? That's the bill. Right. But it's presented in the Senate, you see. And so what do we do? We hide behind the cloture vote, the in debate vote, the filibuster. And what ends up happening, let's say in this instance, hypothetically, the Republicans, they know their voters wouldn't, their constituents wouldn't support Bobby being prohibited from wearing his AFA hat in studio. But they don't want Bobby to wear his AFA hat in studio, you see, because they want to support all kinds of networks, they want to support npr, and they want to support all these others, but they also want a campaign and saying, man, we want people to be able to wear the airframe paraphernalia wherever they go. So how do they do that? What they do is hide behind the clutcher vote, you see? So what ends up happening is before you get to the bill on the merits, can Bobby wear his hat or not wear his hat, you have a procedural vote on cloture. And it takes 60 votes to invoke cloture, which means to terminate debate and move on to vote on the bill on the merits. So you have several, in this instance, Republicans who won't vote during the cloture vote, kind of like Thom Tillis did today. He didn't vote to open debate on the Save America Act. So you have some Republicans who won't vote for it, and then you have others who will vote for it because they really want Bobby to wear his hat. You have the Democrats that oppose, and by gosh, you know what? We only had 52 votes in favor of invoking cloture on Bobby's AFA hat legislation. And so then some of the same senators who didn't vote in favor of Bobby wearing his hat to invoke coach, they'll go home and say, can you believe Washington is working against us? You understand what I'm saying? Washington was working. He can't get anything done in Washington. It's hopeless gridlock. We can't get anything accomplished. And there's no record, there's no record of the vote actually on the merits as to whether or not Bobby can wear his hat. There's no record of that. All you, when you go to try to look it up, all you see is cloture votes. And if you don't know how the process works, you would be deceived into thinking, well, I have. I have a rip fighting for me in D.C. when truth. In truth. In truth, there is a reality called a uni party. You see how the game is played. So don't. Don't let them play it on. On this one. If. If there is. If there is not. If there is something that should be a easy haul over the finish line, surely, surely it is. We just need to make sure it's only American citizens that's voting in federal elections. Don't you think? Some asked, well, how. How did they get the one big beautiful bill passed? They use a procedure called reconciliation. What is reconciliation? For financial. For financial measures. The Senate rules. Here we go. The Senate rules. The same Senate rules. I'm talking about that Governor filibuster. The Senate rules allows US Senators once annually during. During each Congress, during each Congress, for the senators to vote on one bill that has to do with financial matters that doesn't require the 60 vote threshold. Y' all want to know how they came up with that? It was a Senate rule. A Senate rule passed by a simple majority of the senators. Some saying, why can't you use the Senate rules to do what the American people want? And it's one of the things. That's why I keep saying this. They want to have a demoralized populace. They want people to throw up their hands and say, ah, see, man, it's hopeless. Because the more disengaged the American people are, the easier it is for chicanery to go forward. Like, here's. Here's a perfect example. Remember all of the energy and fervor around doge. Remember that? Somebody want to tell me how many bills have been passed to codify the cuts to the federal budget from what the DOGE discovered? it's enough to make you sick. But in this instance, it's vitally important that you refuse to disengage. You refuse to disengage. Let your senators know where you stand and what you require. Simple as that. So debate has opened on the measure. This is one thing that needs to be passed.
Joe Kent announced his resignation as director of the National Counter Terrorism Center
All right, I'm gonna move on. So today I want to explain a little bit of this information. So Joe Kent announces resignation today from his position as the director of the National Counter Terrorism Center. That is a position that works within the office of the Director of National Intelligence. So it's an intelligence position. All right. Joe Kent is a military veteran, a former Army Greene, Greene Beret, CIA, paramilitary officer who's had 11 combat deployments I'm thankful. The American people are thankful for his service. But just because you, you, you have been a veteran, that doesn't give you a pass on everything you want to do going forward. His first wife and people asking me, Wade, isn't he married to a, to a woman who's hostile Israel? He had a wife before who was killed in combat at 35 years old. She was killed by ISIS. All right, he since remarried and his current wife is not his former wife. All right. Joe Kent ran for Congress in 2022. And just I posted something about this on my social media feed. He, ran in the Republican primary in Washington state against my friend Heidi St. John. You've heard her on this show before. and he, he beat Heidi, Heidi in the primary and Joe Kent then went on to, lose in the general election. And then after that, President Trump tapped him for this position, in the office of the Director of National Intelligence. He announced his resignation today in what he said was that it was in protest of the Iran, Iran war. But I want to show you some things that joking today is seemingly contradicting what joking has said in 2016 and in 2020. And then also, is his resignation truly a, an honest opposition to the, to the conflict in Iran or something else happening? We'll get into that in this next segment.

Abraham Hamilton III discusses Joe Kent's resignation letter over Iran controversy
Abraham Hamilton III Welcome back to the Hamilton Corner. Abraham Hamilton III here. as I've, I shared Ah, Heidi St. John's post on, on my Book of Faces feed for the Hamilton Corner. she explains that and, and this probably will help you process Joe Ken's resignation letter that he published that he posted publicly on X that apparently Joe Kent is friends with Tucker Carlsen. So that that might aid you. Heidi shared that in her primary campaign against Joe Kent, Tucker Carlsen would have Joe Kent on the air all the time. And when her campaign reached out for equal time, Tucker Carlsen refused to have her on anytime at all. Did not allow him on at all. And so because he had an Internet streaming show and the Internet is not governed by FCC regulations that he had no obligation to allow Heidi St. John onto his show though he had Joe Kent on over and over and over and over again. Kind of like when CBS and yes, Colbert wanted to have James Talarico on but did not want to have Jasmine Crockett on. What did he do? He refused to air the show on the television network and did put it where on the Internet on YouTube. All right, get into a little bit of his letter. So in his letter Joe Kent says the reason for his resignation was until, well let me go back to the beginning. I'm not going to read the whole letter because it's, it's a long letter. But he, he included in his letter, quote, I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation and it's clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. Quote, high ranking Israeli officials and members of the media had deployed a misinformation campaign to undermine America. First, this echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States and that you should strike now. That there was a clear path to victory after. I'm sorry. So effective immediately, he's resigning. Simply put, he's saying that Iran wasn't an imminent threat. You, President Trump, you're just a rube. You got played, man. You were just a tool to do Israel's bidding. That's, that's what he, what he said. Kind of just like this current fancy. The Jews, the Jews, you see, the Jews are secretly running the world. You know, this is what he's saying. Guys, I just want to zoom out for a bit again. Discernment. It's kind of, kind of, kind of interesting how all of a sudden all of these voices. Previously, antisemitism was a thing on the left, but now you see it happening, right? Like I said before, I really believe that it's a demonic effort to cause a demoralization to take place. Now this is America. If you have criticisms about the state of Israel, that's fine, you can talk about that. But to say things like to delegitimize a homeland for the Jewish people, what is that all about? What is that all about? You know, it's remarkable how this is unfolding, but Joe Kent today doesn't sound like Joe Kent from just two minutes ago, if you will. Mr. McIntosh, would you put up just a little bit of, Mr. Joe Kent's history because he's sounding a lot different now than the way he sounded

Abraham Hamilton III in January 2020. Joe Kent, the same Joe Kent would write, quote, the red line is American loss of life and Iranian nuclear nuke development. I personally think we should have crushed their ballistic and nuclear capabilities. He said capes. But Trump has a plan. He has definitely earned the confidence of any clear eyed observer in, quote, that's what he said in 2020, September 2024, quote, Trump used the balance of diplomacy, economic pressure and targeted strikes to contain Iran, the embodiment of peace through strength. October 2020 24, Joe Kent quote, October 7th happened because Biden Harris gave Iran access to over $100 billion. Trump used diplomacy to build the Abraham Accords, cut off Iran's funding and killed key terrorists. America and our allies were safe and there was less war. No more neocons, no appeasement. Trump, 2024. So what, what happened to Joe Kent now? And there's more. I just read a few of them. There's more. so what, what happened to Joe Kent? And then here's the thing, if you're going to make the accusation and this is that, guys, this is a big deal for a host of reasons. He's literally saying. He's literally saying that President Trump was just a rube. You know, he got played, he got duped. You know, the Israelis, they deceived him. All right, cool. Show the proof. What I'm saying, cool is if that is what you're saying, what's the proof of that? What proof of that? You know, it's kind of. It's kind of, Candace Owensy, to where you make these grand accusations. But, but something, something that substantial, does that not bear. Does that not require some kind of substantiation? Speaker Mike Johnson from Louisiana, my home state, said, quote, joe Kent is clearly wrong. I got all the briefings. We all understood there was clearly an imminent threat, that Iran was very close to the enrichment of nuclear capability and they were building missiles at a place that no one in the region could keep up with. That's what Speaker Johnson said. So if you're going to make. Again, I want to know this. If you have evidence of this Joe Kent, if this is what you're asserting is true, the merit in this is you're making a conscientious objection based on this show. What's the evidence for that? Or since you just, you're just making claims. Their reports that are indicating. The real issue that Joe Kent is upset about, and this is being reported currently, is that the real issue is that Joe Kent was found to be a leaker. Now, how are you going to work in the office of the Director of National Intelligence, but you're going to leak information, including potentially to America's enemies? And because Joe Kent was identified as a leaker, the Trump administration was in conversation with Tulsi Gabbard to fire Joe Kent. You understand me? And in the process, you have the Director of Counterterrorism who had been excluded from classified briefings. Mm, mm, And for months, he had been cut out of classified briefings and he was mad about it. So he, you know, if we gonna just say, some stuff. He tried to get out in front of what was about to be a pink slip. But he want to short circuit the pink slip by saying, no, no, you ain't fire me. I quit. Why you crying? Have you ever heard that before? Nah, I didn't get fired. I quit. If it is true that he had been excluded from the classified briefings, wouldn't it also be true that this fool don't know what he's talking about because he wouldn't have the Information that indicated whether or not there was a classified threat if he had been excluded from the classified briefings.
Abe Owens: Before you conclude that Joe Kent is on a righteous crusade
So all I'm saying. And listen, I'm not trying to tell anybody here to take sides. We. All I'm saying is, before you conclude that Joe Kent is on a righteous crusade, I would encourage you to require evidence before you make that conclusion. That's all I'm saying. And if he has evidence that the President has been deceived, put it on the table, my man, because it is exceedingly irresponsible for you to make such a grandiose claim. And just like Jonadab, throw your rock and hide your hand because you can read tea leaves, because. Because of the political moment and because your homeboy, Tucker Carlsen, some might call him Katarlson, is. It sounds like some of the same stuff Tucker has been saying. And these are things that completely contradict with Joe Kent said, just a couple years ago. I'll tell you this, and I've said this. My friend Heidi St. John ran against Joe Kent in the primary because she believed that Joe Kent was not a constitutionalist, and she felt that her state required true, clear, godly constitutional representation. But she didn't want to kick up a fuss about it because she felt like Joe Kent was better than a Democrat candidate who was running in a general election. So she decided not to attack Joe Kent once they got to the general election. That's what she told me herself. But she tried to warn President Trump about Joe Kent before President Trump ever nominated him to this position. And I understand it because of his, you know, his. His history as a. As a veteran, a former Greene Beret, and having a wife who was killed by isis. And by the way, ISIS is largely funded by who? ISIS was largely funded by who? Iran? I don't know about you, but if I know somebody is responsible for funding the group that ultimately killed my wife, m. You say? What's that? Huh? Yeah. Okay. But to say there was no evidence, I'm just going to tell you, if I have to consider Speaker Mike Johnson, who I told you before, I trust Mike Johnson. You know, there were some things when the Ukraine thing were happening that I was like, man, I have questions. But ultimately, I, trust Speaker Johnson. If Joe Kent had been excluded from the intelligence briefings for months, wouldn't it also be true that he wouldn't know what the intelligence information was that led to the decision? And some of you might might say, well, Abe, he was the Director of Counterterrorism. If he was suspected of being A leaker. So much so, were there conversations about his terminate termination of his employment? Wouldn't he be excluded from those briefings? Now, if that is not true, the burden is on Joe Kent. If he's going to say something as substantive and significant as saying the United States of America was led into a military conflict flicked by deceit, you have the burden of showing that, homie. You can't just make that accusation and then walk down the street like you in the, you know, you speed walking, you know, you know, one of those Olympic speed walkers, you know, I quit in speed walk down the street. And he says that my resignation is effective as of today. Now, I'm not purported to know everything that goes on in D.C. because I'm not in D.C. and if he has more information that I don't have, then that is entirely, a possibility. But again, if you are going to make the accusation that the President of the United States of America was. Was deceived, you have an obligation to support that with proof. You can't just say that and just casually speed on like it ain't nothing. That's what I'm saying. And I'm not even going to get into his current wife's affiliations and her employment. But let's just say, the allegedly Hezbollah affiliated. I'm not gonna throw that. I'm not, I'm. I'm not gonna include that in the calculus because I think it's sufficient to say that if you're gonna make that accusation, you got to support it. But I do understand, How this is happening. So I just. Man, as I said in the very beginning of the program, I believe much of this that is happening, the, the keyboard warriors that are throwing mud at each other online and, you know, he notices. It's similar to the whole Candace Owens thing. If you notice I haven't spent a lot of time on her because I don't want to waste time on her. But she makes his accusation and keeps saying, I'm gonna show you this, I'm gonna show this. I'm sure this. And when it's, well, where's the proof? She moves on to another topic. I agree. In the marketplace of ideas. I agree. In an exchange of ideas, I agree that if you have a point and a counterpoint, and I believe that the presidential administration is best served by having those that, that are among the range of perspectives. I think it's good to have people that are very hesitant, very reluctant to be willing to consent to kinetic military action. And you have those who have a divergent opinion. I want our president to have advice from all the best counselors. But if you're going to make the accusation that he was just deceived, you got to support that. You can't throw that out just like it's an armchair opinion. You have to support that man. And before anybody would. Would embrace what Joe, Ken is saying, I think it's responsible to say that's what you're saying, Joe. what is the evidence that that actually happened? What's the evidence that that actually happened? And if you don't have any evidence, then you need to be challenged for publicly being so irresponsible.
