Hamilton: God has called us to be ambassadors even in this dark moment
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Darkness is not an affirmative force. It simply reoccupies the space vacated by the light. This is the, Hamilton Corner on American Family Radio. It should be uncomfortable for a believer to live as a hypocrite, delivering people out of the bondage of mainstream media and the philosophies of this world. God has called you and me to be his ambassadors, even in this dark moment. Let's not miss our moment.
Today is Abraham Hamilton III's birthday, and it's a joy
And now, the Hamilton Corner. Well, I am m back with you again this evening, and it is my pleasure and honor to do so. Sitting in for Abraham Hamilton III here on the Hamilton Corner. Thank you all for yours, your support and your expressions of goodwill. Really do appreciate it. God, bless each and every one of you and thank you for your support for AFR and our, our staff and all the people who make this program and all the other programs possible. Well, look, I didn't expect to be with you, but I am happy to be with you again tonight. As I said yesterday, I've had a new grandson born. In fact, today is my birthday, folks. And I'm not one of those people who tells you it's my birthday because I'm fishing, okay? Have you met those people who want to tell you it's their birthday to make sure maybe you send them a little gift, Maybe you. Maybe don't. Don't forget it's my birthday. I'm not doing that, but I'm pointing it out. I didn't expect to be on today anyway, but I'm pointing it out because today was the first day I actually saw my grandson in person. So what a birthday gift. Best birthday ever. The opportunity to see him. And he's what. And what a. What a handsome young man he is. A friend of mine said to me, well, he obviously got his looks from you because you. You've lost them all, And your wife still has all of hers. So, you know, but, but look, folks, it's. It is a joy. You know, the Bible says, a good man leaves an inheritance to his children and his children's children. And that means for two generations, that man leaves an inheritance. I really believe that the Bible's talking primarily there, not about finances, although there's nothing wrong, obviously, believing a financial, heritage to your children, which I hope is, a heritage, not necessarily a vast wealth, but a heritage of good stewardship, and a heritage, of not burying one's family in debt and that kind of thing. But I think more importantly, it's frankly talking about a spiritual heritage, a heritage of Faith in God, a heritage of service to God and service to God's people and to mankind. Heritage, of honor and of integrity and a decency. to me, those are the things that, that really matter in life and those, that's the heritage that you really want to leave your children and your children's children. And my prayer is that I will leave exactly that kind of hair. My children and to my children's children.
Virginia church holds Martin Luther King leadership breakfast every year for 26 years
I want to also say something I should have said last night, but praise God, I've got the opportunity to say it again today. And I'm going to tie this into what we want to talk about today. You know, the 19th, of course, is the day we celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday. His birthday is actually on the 15th. I was born two days before he's born. On the 15th I was born, the 13th because he's obviously much, much older than I am. but that being said, because I was a kid when Martin Luther King was, was in his late 20s and, and doing his ministry. But what I want to say is, first of all, my church, in cooperation and cooperation with Stand, has been holding a Martin Luther King leadership Breakfast every year for the past 26 years. Coming up on Monday will be the 26th, 26 years of it. We have several hundred people show up, on that day and we host it in Chesapeake, Virginia. It's for the entire region. and here's what though, why I'm m bringing this up. Well, two point a practical reason for all of my Virginia listeners, if you'd like to be a part of that, you can go to the website thecall.org, thecall.org, tickets are still available, but we do have to give a final count within a couple of days. So if you're interested in coming, come right on. because this is really folks, and I don't say this, egotistically at all, I really believe this. And if I'm wrong, I'd love to have somebody prove me wrong. I believe that we are probably the only Martin Luther King celebration in America that honors, in addition to others, of course, but honors police officers, sheriffs, the fire department, all of our first responders we honor because I made a commitment to God, frankly, back in 2001 after 9, 11, that never again would I wait until some terrible tragedy befalls our law enforcement and first responders to then say, well, you know, they were great people, they were courageous, they served us well. I, am not going to wait until that happens. From this point on, every year, we're going to honor these first responders and acknowledge the terribly dangerous and difficult job that they do for all of us. And we've been doing it ever since. So coming up on 26 years. We didn't do it the first year because, frankly, I didn't think of it. But after 91 1, I realized, no, I'm not waiting again until there's another catastrophe. so we've been doing it for 25 years, and this will, in fact, coming up, this will be the 25th year. So we honor someone from the police department, someone from the sheriff's department, someone from the fire department. We also honor business people and the people in education, and we give two scholarships to students and so forth. I conceived this, and my wife and I founded it as a means of trying to bring people together, across racial and cultural lines and to celebrate the true spirit of Dr. King's movement, which was not a movement of black power and black supremacy and payback. And all the stuff that unfortunately is now, is now associated with, whatever vestiges of the civil rights movement are left. And there's not really much of it left. it was really all about bringing the country together, as I've often said. When Dr. King made the most famous speech, perhaps one of the most famous speeches certainly, in the history of the country, but the most famous speech of the civil rights movement. He stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. he did not call for the overthrow or destruction of our country, as so many on the left do now. He did not claim that America was illegitimately founded or formed. He said when the founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they were writing a promissory note to which every American would fall heir. And that is absolutely true, man. It still resonates in my heart. It is absolutely true. And he said, we've come to Washington to. He said they wrote a check and we've come to Washington to cash that check. He didn't say the check is illegitimate. He didn't say throw out the Declaration of Independence constitutions, racist, all that. He didn't go. He didn't go there. Neither did Frederick Douglass. They said, what America must do is to be true to who we really are and what we were founded to be. and, man, that sentiment rings, in my heart, every time I think about it, which is one of the reasons why I'm so grateful to God that I was born an American and not something else. Now let me Just throw this in. Because I realize there are forces out there and people out there who really want to discredit Dr. King. and I'll say about Dr. King, same thing I say about Donald Trump. Same thing I say about our founding Father. Same thing I say about anybody who I really believe God has used to do tremendous things. None of them has been perfect. And if you want to find reasons to criticize, you can find them. But to me, you've got to ask the question, did God use this person to accomplish something great for our country? And if the answer is yes, I'll focus on that, and I'll leave the rest in the hands of God. And acknowledging, of course, of course, you can find things to criticize. And people want to tear down the statues of founding fathers, and they were slave owners and all this. And, they want to denigrate Dr. King, because we know that Dr. King did not live what we would call, a sexually, morally upright life. I don't think anybody can deny that. You know, but they. They bring the same kinds of accusations against Donald Trump and. And they brought the same kinds of accusations. They bring the same kinds of accusations against Thomas Jefferson and so on. The only person who's ever walked the face of the earth, who made no mistakes, who did nothing that could be criticized, legitimately criticized, is Jesus Christ. That's it. He's the only one. And if you don't understand that or you don't sort of accept that, there's nobody worthy of being honored, there's nobody worthy of having their accomplishments acknowledged. Not a single person. Not you, not me, nobody. So that's the approach I take to this. and it is. It is a rational understanding that, oh, yeah, if you want to find reasons to criticize, they're there. There's no question about it. They're there. I choose to focus on the way in which God used these people that I've just talked about and many others to bless our country. I mean, you could say the same thing about Ben Franklin. A lot of rumors about Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, a lot of stuff about him. But again, the question is, did God use. Listen, if God could only use people who never sinned, who never made mistakes, who never did anything wrong, he could. He wouldn't use anybody. There would be nobody left to use. Okay, so that's the way I approach it. But. But I. I am gratified by what we've been able to do because we brought people together, and. And honored people on the basis of their merit rather than the basis of their skin color. Wow, what a revolutionary idea. let me also add this, that if you want to get tickets, to come and celebrate these leaders of our community, this year, while we're honoring people like a pastor named Todd Woolston, who has been, working closely with, Christians United for Israel and support defense of Israel, and we're, honoring business people who have done tremendous things to contribute to the community. Again, we're honoring these first responders, and many of these people, in fact most of them are unsung heroes. They're people others just haven't paid much attention to.
The Martin Luther King Leadership Breakfast raises money for scholarships at Maximum Potential Christian Academy
But in the meantime, they've just been laboring behind the scenes to try to improve the quality of life for the people around them. and we are just blessed to be able to honor them. We give them the Martin Luther King Leadership Award and the two students to outstanding students that we use scholarship money to so to help them get started. and again, if you'd like to come or just like to contribute, go to thecall.org, thecall.org and you can click on the Martin Luther King Leadership Breakfast, or you can just donate there and designate it as an MLK donation. the proceeds go for scholarships and to support the Maximum Potential Christian Academy, which is the school my wife and I founded about five years ago to serve the students, the children of our community, many of whom will never have an opportunity to go to a private school and now really getting a first rate education, for, frankly a fraction of what they would normally pay for such an education. My wife has two master's degrees, one in, education, one in library science, and she is an outstanding teacher. She taught in the public schools to her frustration for over 20 years, but now she's teaching in a Christian school. Now, since I brought up Dr. King, let me, let me follow on with this.
The stuff that we're seeing in Minneapolis is an outgrowth of the Civil Rights movement
The stuff that we're seeing in the streets of Minneapolis and that is now beginning to happen in some cities across the country. Again, I hope it will not spread, but we're beginning to see it. this is an outgrowth of the Civil Rights movement, you say? Well, wait a minute. The Civil Rights movement, You just said good things about it. I sure, I certainly did. And I think there are some very good things about it. But I think that it's also been exploited and perverted and used in absolutely horrific ways. The Civil Rights movement was never meant to justify homosexuality. It was never meant to justify killing unborn babies. It was never meant to justify this just gender confusion. It was never meant to justify, justify antisemitism. It was never meant to justify, this hatred and venom against ICE agents doing their constitutional and legal duty to secure our border, to arrest and detain and deport people who are not here legally. So we need to distinguish between the illustrious vision of the civil rights movement and the horrible things that have been done in its name. when we come back, we're going to talk a little bit more about that.
Joseph Parker says praising God even when we don't fully understand what he does
Back in a moment. This is Bishop E.W. jackson in for Abraham Hamilton III.
>> Caroline: A, discipleship minute with Joseph Parker.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: It's like all of creation was screaming, God is good. His goodness just flows from everything he created. But when the devil came to the garden, tempted Adam and Eve, his approach was, is God really good? And sadly, they kind of went along with his deception. They fell into sin. But the reality is God's creation is good and God is totally good, and so he can be totally trusted. So our worship and praise is acknowledging that he's good even when we don't fully recognize or see what he's doing. On the other hand, complaining is God. You're messing up. I'm not sure if you really are good in this situation. So I think clearly it's important to know complaining is never a good thing. It really is a way to curse something. Praise and worship. Even though we may not fully understand what all is going on, it's so productive. The heartbeat of a baby in the.
>> Caroline: Womb, heard through ultrasound, is one of the most beautiful sounds you can hear.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: But abortion stops that heartbeat before a baby is ever born. preborn saves the lives of babies by letting a pregnant mother see their baby and hear the heartbeat with a free ultrasound.
>> Caroline: My name is Mary. I'm calling from Tennessee. Recently, I have a granddaughter who will be two and her mom. connected with preborn. When a mother hears the heartbeat on ultrasound, her baby's chance for life dramatically improves. Through the years, preborn has saved the.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Lives of 400,000 babies.
>> Caroline: And beyond that, thousands of young mothers have found salvation in Jesus.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: You can help with a donation to preborn.
>> Caroline: January 19th through 23rd will be preborn week on AFR. Our goal is to raise support for 5,000 free ultrasounds.
Hamilton: People who claim to be heirs of the civil rights movement are wrong
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Be listening and help support preborn. Your love can save a life.
>> Caroline: Shining light into the darkness.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: This is the Hamilton corner on American Family Radio. When you think about it, Dr. King's most famous comment is he longed for the day when his children would not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. That was, that's, that's really the byword, if you will, of the civil rights movement. the people who consider themselves heirs of the civil rights movement have completely flipped that on its head. And they'll say basically that the color of your skin is the only thing that's important. It is everything. It is all that matters. It should determine what opportunities you have, how you get treated, what doors are open, what schools you can go to, what jobs you can have. And the fact of the matter is, if your skin happens to reflect, the European ancestry essentially, and you happen to be male as well, then you should be denied, almost any opportunity. You should be pushed aside for anybody who happens to have darker skin, and, have their ancestors hail from some part of the world other than Europe. I mean, this is a complete perversion of what the civil rights movement was about. And some of the people who claim the mantle of the civil rights movement. Remember Ward Churchill worked for the University of Colorado, after the attack on the World Trade Centers, this man on the World Trade center, this man at the toppling of those towers, this man actually likened the victims of that vicious, horrific terrorist attack to little Adolf Eichmanns and claimed that they were the equivalent because these are as financial centers, that these financial centers house the equivalent of little Adolf Eichmanns, who in a set, essentially deserve what they got. Now, the backlash was so fierce that he, you know, started to crawfish and, you know, back off and, and try to figure out how to, as they say, walk back the comment, but you can't walk it back. He couldn't walk it back because he had made himself crystal clear. he had said that the World Trade center was a legitimate target because it was a symbol of a destructive system of the command and control infrastructure. It was part of America's imperialist system. I mean, he was crystal clear on what he meant, but he considered himself to be a child of the civil rights movement. Well, really, the civil rights movement justified the mass murder of innocent people who were simply going to work. Are you kidding? But look, we'd be fools to deny that communism and socialism and Marxism and fascism infiltrated the civil rights movement, perverted it, and it's turned it into what it now claims to be. Now, which is, which is, as far as I'm concerned, it's just, it's an abomination and, one of the most dangerous things that's ever happened to our country because the civil rights Movement began trying to address a, real problem with real victims. What we have now is a thing that creates victims that are not victims, turns them into victims, labels them victims, and then creates villains from those who are not villains. People who are simply trying to enforce the law, simply trying to do things in a fair way, simply trying to uphold the principles of meritocracy. These are now the villains. These are the monsters. These are the people. You know, people like ice agents, people like the President of the United States, Donald Trump, people like me that we're the bad people. Because we would dare suggest that America is a wonderful country built upon. Upon eternal principles. In my view, in a nation in which anybody who is willing to put their hand to the plow, anybody who is willing to work, willing to discipline themselves, can live and thrive in this nation. Anybody, regardless of the color of their skin. Oh, Bishop Jackson, we see what you are. Yeah, I know exactly what I mean. Ah. I'm an American. I'm a patriot. I'm a Christian. I'm grateful to God every day of my life for this country and the opportunity it provides, not only to me, but to my children, to my grandchildren, and to all who will come after me unless we let these Marxists rip it apart. and so I say we have to create victims. Did you hear Mom? Donnie? He's all upset because an aide of his was arrested. who said they had no right to arrest him. This guy's working for NewSong York City. He's been here illegally since 2017. He's been here illegally since 2017. He overstayed his visa. Well, he didn't cross. He didn't cross illegally. It doesn't matter if you are. If you are allowed to visit, you're given the privilege of visiting this country on whatever basis. When that privilege runs out, the decent, the honorable, the lawful thing to do is to leave, voluntarily. And when you intentionally flout that and stay, you are no better than the person who has crossed the border legally. You've just come over in a slicker way. But as far as I'm concerned, your intentions are absolutely no different, which is to flout the system, to violate the law, to take advantage in whatever way you can of what America has to offer without going through the proper process of entering our country and having permission to be here. See what I mean? So we got. We got a new class of victims now. You're here illegally. Oh, you're a victim. Oh. Oh, man. You. How did. How did you suddenly become a victim? See, that's A perversion of the civil rights movement. Because I would. I grew up north of the Mason Dixon line. Born north of Mason Dixon line. I never lived in the south during the segregation era, and thank God for it. And I know people who did have different set of experiences. Clarence Thomas experienced that. But look at. Look at what Clarence Thomas has done with his life. You don't see him whining and grinding. I'm, a victim. He got on with his life. The man sits on the United States Supreme Court, in my view, is really the intellectual leader of the conservatives on the Supreme Court. This is what America allows you to do. This is what America provides. This is the opportunity it affords. But there are people who hate it because they've got their own vision of what they want this country to be. And it has nothing to do with meritocracy. It has nothing to do with individual liberty. It has to do with a totalitarian, tyrannical, Marxist imposition upon everybody and everything to control them so that they can basically sit astride a, dystopian nation, because that's exactly what it would be if we allowed them to have their way. So the beat goes on with these accusations against Trump. Now, let me point out one other thing, by the way. I want to take your calls, of course, as always. And, we're going to start taking calls in the next segment. The number is 888-589-8840. That's 888-589-8840.
Ilhan Bishop: Whatever slander they come up with against America, we refute them
Do you find it rather ironic that the people who live here and somehow claim the moral superiority of. Of. Of the country's elites and, you know, they. They know what's best, and the rest of us, we fly over people, we podunks, we idiots, we, you know, we people cling to our Bibles and our guns and, you know, you name it. Whatever canard they come up with, whatever slander they come up with against us, you find it interesting that the people of Taiwan, the people of Iran, some of the people incarcerated in China right now, when they have an opportunity, the people who live under these totalitarian regimes, these communist regimes, when they have an opportunity to be heard, to express themselves, where do they look for inspiration? The United States of America. What flags do they tend to wave when they have an opportunity to symbolize their hunger for freedom? The American flag. How is it you get idiots in our country who want to wave Mexican flags when. When the oppressed world, the world that's truly oppressed, these people are truly victims. They're reciting the Declaration of Independence, they're sometimes quoting sections of the Pledge of Allegiance and they're pointing to Donald Trump as a potential liberator. Folks, it is difficult to explain the incongruity there without coming back to something I say over and over and over again. This is cult like thinking. These people are not thinking like normal human beings. They, they are thinking like somebody who has been brainwashed, mesmerized, hypnotized into the irrationality of a cult that is living and leading others to live in denial of reality. You know, one of the things that I want to do, and I'm, I'm praying, pray, please pray for me that I'll have the resources eventually to do it, is to go out and, and start doing some man on the street interviews in these inner city areas and start asking people, you know, how they feel about our country and asking them, and I'm not just talking about a racial thing. I'm talking about anybody, anybody who is in a position where you could say maybe they're in poverty or maybe they're on welfare or maybe they're living in an unsafe neighborhood or what have you, whatever. There are people like that, of all backgrounds, to be able to ask them, you know, how they feel about this country. Because I want to hear these people say, you know, America's an unjust place and America's horrible and America's terrible and you know, not everybody obviously feels that way, but those who do, I want to talk to them and then ask, okay, well if you feel that way, where would you like to live? Because I don't think that these people have really again, thought through the context in which America exists. America exists in the context of Russia, in the context of China, in the context of Cuba, in the context of how many communist, totalitarian, drug czard, and cartel controlled nations, in South America, how many brutal dictatorships in Africa, how many Muslim controlled, Shia run nations in, in Asia? You look at the UN and ask the question, well, okay, all right, you're entitled to that opinion. Where would you like to live? I mean, all these people who are attacking ICE agents, I would love for them to say where they think they could go and enter into the country illegally and think that this nation would have them gladly violate their laws for entry and treat them like citizens. Let them vote, let them give them welfare, give them, give them health care, buy their groceries, put them up in apartments, put them on airplanes to fly to whatever designated city they choose. I'd like to know where they think that nation exists. And you know what? There's not a nation on earth, because even, even the worst on earth are not that suicidal. And Ilhan Omar had the nerve to say that America has become one of the worst countries in the world. Oh, Somalia clearly is not, but America is. Then go back to Somalia or to whatever country you think is, is the nation that shows what a terrible place America is. In contrast. Well, guess what? You won't find it because it doesn't exist. And folks, I am serious about this. If we are going to pass on to my grandson and my granddaughter and your grandchildren and, great grandchildren, if Jesus tarries, we're going to pass on a nation in which, like many of you and like me, I've told my story and had people walk up to me and say, you know, Bishop Jackson, I was in foster care too. And these are people who, their skin color may be different from my. It doesn't matter. And say, you know, I had to live under an abusive situation for many, many years. It took me a long time to get over. And here's some guy now presiding over a multimillion dollar business. This is America, folks. This is what's possible here. Where we. You can, you can, you can actually look into the eyes of your progeny and say to them, you can do pretty much anything your capability and hard work will allow you to do in this country. you can follow it wherever it will take you, and you can do so holding whatever opinion you want about whatever matter you want. Nobody will stand in your way. As long as you aren't hurting other people, as long as you aren't trying to exploit other people, you're not breaking the law. You can go as high as life will allow you. So that I'm not an anomaly. I mean, people commend me and they're sometimes, sometimes fascinated by my background. But, folks, the fact that I was born into a broken home and raised in foster care, I'm not unusual. What is unusual, perhaps, is that I happen to be one among far too many, black folks in America who are willing to say, I am so grateful to God for my country because a person like me has been allowed to do the things that I can do because my country believes in individual liberty. I guess if anything makes me unusual, it's not my experiences, my background, it's the ability and the willingness to acknowledge with gratitude the opportunities that this nation affords me. And you got people running around in the streets wanting to kill our ICE agents because they're doing their lawfully sworn duty. Folks, this is Bishop E.W. jackson in for Abraham Hamilton III. I'm gonna take your calls when we get back. The number is 888-589-8840. Back in. Just.
>> Caroline: As you know, American Family Radio is a Christian radio network.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Our motives, our message and our personalities are all dictated by Jesus Christ.

Minnesota again became a national flashpoint after it was exposed that Somali Muslim immigrants have defrauded taxpayers of an estimated $9 billion through fake businesses. This was enabled by leftist politicians in the city and state who may be benefiting from the theft. The lesson here is that leftists and Islamists partner to undermine our nation financially and spiritually. Christians should oppose this assault following the biblical command to be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong, let all that you do be done in love. Wanda Sykes says we need to overthrow Trump's rogue government
But maybe you want to raise something that I haven't mentioned that you think is important to raise. I want to give you that opportunity as well. let me just say a couple of questions and I'm come say a couple of things and I'm going to come right to your questions and comments. This woman, Wanda Sikes, who's a comedian, she is saying over the. The death of Nicole Good, we need to have an insurrection. We need to overthrow what she calls his rogue government. Now, clearly, the woman knows absolutely nothing. She. She, I mean, what exactly is this rogue government doing? Again, yesterday, if you were with me, I cited the statutes that. Not simply. That do not simply allow for the arrest, detaining and deportation of people who are here without proper authorization. It mandates it. The law requires that those people be apprehended, arrested, detained and deported. So how is the government going rogue, doing what the law requires? Well, clearly it's not, but that's what they're of course going to say. And, the only thing you can do is just pray for these people and continue to work hard. The other thing I want to mention before I come to the lines is this, folks, we got a big election coming up. And look, AFR doesn't, endorse, my organization doesn't endorse with nonprofit 501C3s. But thank God for the First Amendment right that we have to say how we as Christians ought to be thinking about this. Number one, we need to be praying very, very hard because you can rest assured that all of the propaganda machinery of the left is going to be turned against us to try to convince people that the real danger to our country is Donald Trump and the real danger to our country is conservatives or Republicans, and that we've got to somehow purge the government of them. And historically speaking, sadly, the American people have tended to rubber ban the situation. And when they've got one party that controls the White House, they tend to give the control of the House, at least to the other party, at least one chamber of the legislature, to the other party. We really can't afford that. If you see what's going on right now, we really cannot afford that. We have got to maintain an agenda that keeps moving our country in the direction of restoring our Judeo Christian values and principles and ideals, and making sure that they are upheld long enough, we hope to become entrenched enough that they simply can't be uprooted again, I would hope. Folks, again, my vision is that we so discredit these Marxist, socialist, atheist, secularist ideas that they are cast on the dung heap of history. And, our children and grandchildren I've been mentioning before look back and say, you mean to tell me people actually believed that a guy could become a girl and a girl could become a guy. And somebody says, yeah, they believed it, but, you know, the American people didn't, by and large, rejected it. And, that nonsense is put. We put an end to that. You mean there was a time when people actually believed that there was something to be celebrated in killing an unborn baby? Yeah, there were people who believed that, but the American people rejected it and finally persuaded our fellow citizens that that was wrong. And so we've long since left that behind, and so on and so forth. That is our prayer. It's not a prayer for violence. It's not a prayer for vengeance. It's not a prayer to do harm to people. It's a prayer to see the hearts of. Of the American people so persuaded to follow the righteousness of God that we cast off the wickedness of the devil, and never return to it again. At least not as a nation and not as a. As the ideal. The ideal or central tenets of our culture. Okay, 888-589-8840.
Bishop: Glad to hear that you're standing up for first responders
Let's come to Tim. I believe that's Tim in Arkansas. Tim, welcome.
>> Caroline: Yes, yes, Bishop. Glad to hear that you're standing up for the first responders. I really like that. I was a first responder for a long time. They made me a medic first and cut, their insurance rate in half being a medic on staff. And, then they decided, since they did that, they sent me down to Texas A and M M for my incident commander training. And that saved them a little more on insurance, but didn't save them quite as much. But it's such a blessing that you're standing up for the, the first responders. These are the ones.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you for your service, Tim.
>> Caroline: Literally need. You're welcome. And, like, say, keep, standing up for him.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Amen. I will, Tim. I will. Thank you. folks. And Tim is, Look, what can I say? every American with their head on straight and their heart straight, that's more important because you get the heart right, the head gets right. Ought to have a profound appreciation, folks. I don't know whether you all watch Body, Cam. it's one of my favorite programs. I don't get to watch it very much, but I do occasionally. And I tell you, folks, watching what these officers go through will just bring you to tears. The stuff that they have to contend with, and people are denigrating them and calling them racist and saying they're an occupying force and the Gestapo, and. I mean, this stuff is ridiculous. I mean, these. These people ought to be Hailed every day for the valiant service that they perform for the American people. Every single one of them. It, shouldn't take a 911 to remind us of that. But since it's happened, we don't have any more excuses. Thank you for the call, Tim.
Frank Bishop: If you know someone coming to harm you, would you let
Let's go to Alex. I believe that's in Arizona. Do I have that right? Alex.
>> Caroline: Hey, brother. How you doing, brother?
>> Bishop EW Jackson: I am blessed. Alex, how are you?
>> Caroline: Thank you, brother, for everything. And, may God always bless and keep y' all and y' all families, brother.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you.
>> Caroline: And ah, I just want to say I would have been posing the question for the last hustle. How many years, man? How can they equate a man having a husband and a woman having a wife with the civil rights movement? Because the Civil rights movement was never based on sin. That's plan and that is simple. It's just plain and simple. The civil rights base was not based upon sin. And this is what did. When you ask them this question, they don't even have an answer. They came and answer you, you know, and I, I always say about the, the, federal agent, the ICE agent. I always ask God to keep them blessed and keep him, keep them wrapped in his bosom under their protection always too. Because I tell everybody, if you know someone coming to harm you, would you let them in your house? Bishop, if you know someone coming to harm and kill you, would you let them into your house? And this is the question I've been posing for the last almost 30 years. If you know people coming in the country to kill you or harm you, how can you keep letting them come into the country? This is just insanity. And you know what, Bishop? Window a. Ah, country and the nation throw away God. What? This is what happened. Insanity sets in the land. And brother, I just want to thank you and may God always keep you and y' all and every one of your family members and everybody. Thank you so much, brother.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you, brother. Thank you so much, man. well and eloquently said, Frank. And look, what if somebody said, well, wait a minute, don't get upset because of the, the, the hundred people who are going to come into your house. Don't worry, only about 10 of them are going to be murderers. So, you know, the 90 of them are going to be good people. They just happen to come into your house illegally. But other than that, they're really nice. I mean. Yeah, you're right. It's insane. It's insane. Thank you for the call, Frank.
Demetrius says his heart was changed after 25 years in federal prison
Let's go to Demetrius in Texas. Demetrius, welcome.
>> Caroline: Hey, how you doing, Bishop? again, just thank you for your service. I never forget that you're a Marine. also, thank you. I got. Got my first coin from a, Marine veteran, a Vietnam veteran, and I didn't even know what to do when I got that coin.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Wow.
>> Caroline: But let me say this. I think the understanding needs to be made is.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Is.
>> Caroline: Or the connection that needs to be made is we can't make a law to change hearts. Only God can change your heart.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Amen.
>> Caroline: And I am a. I'm a true and believer of that. Not only that, but I'm also a perfect example of that. I've called a few times. I did 25 years in federal prison, and my heart was changed. I didn't want to be a criminal anymore. I didn't want to commit crimes anymore. I didn't want to do anything that was not just against man's law, but God's law. I mean, it's. It's. It's just horrible for even the Christian to think that they could change someone when only God can change a man's heart. I'm going to leave it at that, Bishop.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Amen, man. Demetrius. Thank you so much for the call, folks. You all are really. You all are touching my heart tonight, with these comments, because you are so right, Demetrius. And to hear that testimony is very, very powerful, Brother. look, I'll tell you all a quick story I've never told on the air before, but I'll tell you now. I got saved In December of 1976, about three days before I got saved. I had a terrible temper, terrible mouth. I stopped at a gas station to buy $2 worth of gas, and I was half broke anyway. But I was in law school, you know. Poor student, had a little Volkswagen car, and the guy gave me $4 worth of gas. And as I was about to pull off, I gave him the $2 that I ordered, and he said to me, you asked for $4 worth of gas. I said, I did not ask for $4 worth of gas. I asked for two. And he tried to argue with me a little bit. And, I. Look, I asked for two. That's it. I went to pull off. And when I went to pull off, he smacked the back of my car. And when he did, I stopped and got out, and it was on. And, right across the street. Yeah, I hate to admit it, folks, but I hit him and hit him hard. And right across the street, there were police. They flashed their lights and pulled right across the street and jumped out of the car and said, what's going on? He was on the ground at that point. And I put my hands up because at that point, now I'm scared. Oh, my goodness, what have I done? And the cops said, what's going on? He got up and he says to them, hey, look, it's my fault. I hid his car. And then when he got out, I ran at him. And it was true. He did. He did come at me. and they said, is it over? And both of us said, yeah, yeah, Officer, this is over. Three days later, I get emotional talking about this. Three days later, I went back to that guy and apologized to him. I mean, think I want to fight somebody over $2, but that was the devil. But I was so close to being saved, but hadn't gotten there. But by the time I went back, what Demetrius has said is so true. I had no desire in my heart to hurt anybody anymore, to fight anybody anymore, to. To want to do harm to people anymore. you know, just. Just God does change the heart, and you are so right. That's what is needed in America, and that's what we have to keep fighting for. Remembering we're trying to change the hearts of people, not that we don't get to defend ourselves. I believe we have a responsibility to do that. But our hearts are not set on violence or harming people. Our hearts are set on seeing people's hearts change so that they want to do the will of God rather than doing their own will.
Luann in Indiana calls to say she misses your program very much
Okay, I'm, down to a short time, but let's get to. I think that's Luann in Indiana. Luann, welcome.
>> Caroline: Thank you. Thank you. I just wanted to call in. I. I don't always listen this late, but I heard your voice, and I really, really miss your program. I love to.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you.
>> Caroline: And I just wanted to say I'm so glad I turned it on tonight to listen to you, because, I love everything you stand for. And, I just. That's all.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you. Thank you so much, Luann. God bless you.
Let's go to Alan in Louisiana. Alan, welcome. How are you doing
Let's go to Allen in Louisiana. Allen, welcome.
>> Caroline: Hey, my brother. How are you doing? God bless you.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Bless you.
>> Caroline: I am he who. I am he who. Who's holding up your arm as you continue to plow through and to fight what's for. Right. I just want to encourage you again and again and over and over again. we're in a time now where we need all hands on deck and to recognize that there is an urgency, for Those who have been called, out of darkness and into God's marvelous light. To actually believe God for courage. And to begin to walk in that courage, to do one thing, to point people to Christ. Because it's dark. Bible says, even the last days, it says, darkness covers the earth, but gross darkness to people. And so what we're seeing is we're seeing people. We're seeing them act out in the darkness. So those who are carrying the light of the gospel of truth, we are shining brighter. But it's gonna take courage and boldness.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you so much for the call, Allen.
Brother Bishop hopes America can be a voice for the voiceless
Folks, I don't know how much time we've got, but it's not much. I'm gonna try to get you in for a quick comment. Susan in Oklahoma. Susan, welcome.
>> Caroline: Hello, Brother Bishop. It's so wonderful to hear you talk. I really enjoy hearing your thoughts. And I just want to say, as a country, I hope we can be a voice for the voiceless, because that is where our. Our future lies. And, God bless you for everything you do. And thank you.
>> Bishop EW Jackson: Thank you, dear. Thank you. Thank all of you so very much. Listen, you all have given me a great birthday gift. The opportunity to talk to you. An unexpected pleasure. Look, stand up. Step up. Speak up. Refuse to back up. Because we cannot be defeated if we will not quit because we are on God's side.
