Jill Abramson, the former executive editor of the New York Times, argues in a new book that her former employer abandoned journalistic objectivity concerning the Trump White House and cashed in along the way.

She explained the Times’ readers are largely liberal and the paper became unmistakably anti-Trump… for profit.

With a barrage of negative Trump stories, the Times drove huge traffic to its publication and, despite the blip of cancellations following the 2016 election, it enjoyed inflated subscription orders to levels no one anticipated.

It was never about the news.  It was about regressivism and money.
