First, Ukraine announced its agreement to a 30-day ceasefire in the Russian-Ukraine war proposed by the Trump administration.
Then, Vladimir Putin agreed “in principle” to the 30-day ceasefire, though the details would have to be brokered with the United States. Putin specifically told a news conference in Moscow,
The idea itself is correct, and we certainly support it, but there are issues that we need to discuss, and I thing that we need to discuss it with our American colleagues and partners.
This seems to indicate that peace between the two countries may be on the horizon.
