Podcast Announcement And Rebranding To Fundamentals Of The Faith
Jenna Ellis Foreign. Welcome, to On Demand. This is our AFR exclusive podcast. And today we have a big announcement. On Demand, after a very successful run and so many listeners is changing starting in the new year. So this will be our last podcast until January so that we can rebrand, we can refocus and, and I'm really excited to give you a preview of that today.
Explanation Of The Need For Deeper Theological Training And Fundamentals Of The Faith Podcast
So for the regular listeners, On Demand has been an opportunity to do a deeper dive into issues and topics, of the culture with guests that you love to hear from. And that part isn't changing. We'll definitely have topics that are necessary to do a deeper dive into and guess, but the format and the focus is going to be a little different. So also for regular listeners, you know that I also host Jenna Ellis in the morning on, on American Family Radio network, from 8 to 9 Eastern Time. And you can always listen to the podcast version of the live [email protected] and that the focus of that show is politics, news of the day, headlines, culture, what's going on in our world. You start your day, of course, with, learning from a biblical worldview perspective, how we respond to the issues of our day and engage as Christians. Christians. So, the, the On Demand podcast has basically been an extension of that and doing a deeper dive into some of those issues. What, I've realized from feedback from listeners and from episodes that you find the most beneficial, as well as my own experience in, this over this last fall semester, actually hosting a ladies Bible study in my home with some of who are now my dearest friends, here in Florida. One of the things that I've learned is that we need more fundamentals of the faith. And that's what this podcast is going to be rebranded as Fundamentals of the Faith. Because often when we look at the news of the day and what I encourage, and have been for the last. We'll be going into our, our fifth year. So for the last four years of Jenna Ellis in the Morning is to first have a foundation in the biblical Christian worldview. Know what the Bible says, know how to read the Bible, to understand and interpret its meaning, and then know how to apply that to not only our own lives, but to issues of the day.
Exploring Key Christian Doctrines Including Salvation, Hermeneutics, Christology, And Theology
And so we often don't have time in the midst of talking about all of the headlines, the cultural topics and everything we do on the radio side in the morning to actually teach some of those fundamentals. And that's what I'm doing in my lady study. In fact, we are Going through a book called Fundamentals of the Faith, which is where I'm borrowing that title for the podcast as well, that goes through some of the key essentials that are the systematic theology of the Bible. So it takes the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. And, what systematic theology does is systematizes literally what the Bible says on each particular topic that we need to understand as Christians and be able to have a defense, as the Bible calls us to, for the hope that lies within us. So we need to understand first, what salvation actually is. What does that look like? I've been genuinely surprised in some of the conversations I've had, with some of my own friends that in talking about salvation, there is an understanding of, okay, this is, you know, Jesus requires us to believe in him, but can you really articulate from a scriptural perspective how to become saved, what that transformation looks like? So that's, that's one of the foundational topics. Then there's, hermeneutics. There's the understanding of diving deeper into Scripture and how we interpret the, the Bible, having good exegesis. And we're going to break down all of these terms. we have to understand Christology, who is the person of Christ as it relates to the Trinity. We need to understand, theology, the study of God, who is God, who does the Bible say that he is? Not just our cultural or historic, traditions or reflections, but who does God reveal himself as in Scripture. So, so many more topics in theology and understanding those topics, incredibly well. And a biblical overview. I know from my personal spiritual life and my personal growth as a Christian over my lifetime, and especially, as I was discipled by my parents through homeschooling, and then as I took more and more responsibility for my own faith as I got older, and then especially, as I graduated my parents house and, you know, went to college, law school and then beyond, I had to take responsibility for my faith and continue to grow. And as I look back on all of that and what has informed me when I view the world through a biblical lens is, is having that depth of understanding first before I encounter an issue or a decision in my own life of how to proceed. So what we want to do with fundamentals of the faith is to equip believers specifically to understand the richness and the fullness of Scripture.
Equipping Believers With Biblical Knowledge For A Strong Christian Walk And Discipleship
Not just a topical sermon, not just, what you may hear on Sunday mornings, but more as a class. So this isn't going to have homework, don't worry about that. but this is going to be something that hopefully as you stay with us and you continue to listen to each episode that will be starting in January, you will start developing an enriching understanding, an arsenal of biblical knowledge that you can deploy when you encounter all of these, various concerns and decisions that the Christian life requires. And so as we've been talking on the radio side on so many things of the three institutions that God has ordained, the church government, the civil government, the family government, why all those things are important, building up our worldview from that foundation, this is going to, this podcast is going to actually explain in greater detail what that foundation is for the Christian. So this will be coming of course from an orthodox Christ Christian Protestant, reading of Scripture. And it's not my intention to provide pastoral counsel to replace your local church, to exegete in a way that is replacing or stepping into the role of a pastor, but to teach the apologetic which of course Christians need to learn and we all need to be able to understand so that hopefully you, you can take this and maybe teach a class at your church or teach a study in your own home and most importantly, you can understand how to apply these principles and this biblical foundation into your walk as a Christian. Because again I've, as we've been talking about the church broadly and hopefully every one of you listening are in a great Bible believing teaching church. But as I've seen and we've been talking about the Christian church more broadly, there are too many churches that will talk in an overview and in a 30,000 foot perspective but fail to truly make disciples. So this is essentially what this podcast is going to become is a discipleship, ah, element that you can supplement what you get at your local church, the sermons that you hear daily on American Family Radio and also the news of the day and the cultural topics that we discuss on my show, Today's Issues, at the The Core and the other great programs here on American Family Radio Network. So I'm really excited for this. I'm so thankful for all of the listeners who continue to write in and tell me what you love to hear about and that a lot of these programs that we've done on, sometimes on the Friday show on the radio side that dive deeper into theology have really meant a lot to you. So this program is going to be for every Christian and I hope that you'll join us starting in January as we newly relaunch this podcast as Fundamentals of the Faith.
