Joanne Shetler traveled to Balangao, Philippines to translate the New Testament into the Balangao language and give the people the gospel of Christ. She finished her translation in 1982 and returned to the States upon its completion. She continues to travel the world teaching seminars and sharing her story. The Lucasis came to Christ as a result of Joanne’s ministry in the Philippines. Joanne’s story has been told in a book called And The Word Came with Power.
