As a former manager of the SANE Program at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Heidi conducted and reviewed over 1,500 pediatric forensic exams and frequently serves as an expert witness in sexual assault cases.
Heidi has testified before lawmakers, the United Nations, and submitted an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court on protecting children from exploitation and pornography exposure. Heidi is an internationally recognized speaker and survivor of sexual abuse and she is passionate about trauma-informed care and supporting the healing journeys of others.
