Alberta's Independence Movement Grows Amidst Frustration With Ottawa And Canadian Unity Concerns
We live in the greatest country on earth. Independence, in Alberta is necessary and inevitable.
Speaker B: We're going to fight the idea of separation.
Speaker C: I don't even consider myself to be Canadian anymore.
Rod Martin: I am not fighting for unity. I am reminding people that we are united.
Speaker D: Could there really be a new country called Alberta?
Sandy Rios: How many people would like Alberta become an independent, sovereign, communal nation?
Speaker D: Separatists in Canada's wealthiest province are campaigning for independence ahead of a referendum.
Sandy Rios: It's a very vocal minority of people who want to separate. And that's not the general sentiment of, Albertans.
Rod Martin: It's just not.
Speaker D: It's a movement fueled by growing frustration with politicians in Ottawa and a belief that Alberta would be better off going it alone.
Sandy Rios: If Alberta was independent and they came and said, do you want to join Canada?
Rod Martin: The answer would be absolutely no.
Speaker D: Opponents say it's vital to keep the country united, especially in the face of threats from US President Donald Trump.
Rod Martin: Canada has taken advantage of us. They have ripped us off for years.
Canada's Secession Crisis Explored: Alberta, Quebec, And Saskatchewan's Push For Independence And Identity
I'm angry.
Sandy Rios: this is even up for a question.
Speaker F: I worry about the Brexit effect here, right? I mean, be careful what you wish for.
Speaker D: So could this vote be Canada's Brexit moment?
Sandy Rios: So could this be Canada's Brexit moment? We're going to find out. This is really fascinating. I had no idea this was going on until I read an article from Rod Martin who he sent to me, came into my inbox. It's called Canada's Secession Crisis now has two fronts. Did you know Canada had a secession crisis? We always hear about tariffs, the arguments between Mark Carney, President Trump, but I had no idea. This is fascinating. And it's not just one province, Alberta. It's also Quebec. It's also possibly Saskatchewan. And there are rumblings all around. Just imagine if a secession takes place in Canada, what the effect will be on the government, what the effect will be on the United States. We're going to be talking about all of that on today's edition of Sandy Rios, 24 7. But first. Well, finally we have some good news. Would you like some good news? Over 50,000 babies have been saved and more than 5,100 commitments to Christ through the ministry PreBorn. This year alone has happened, and it's happened because of you. And I have a personal message from Dan Steiner, who's the president of PreBorn. And this is what he wants to say to you. Just go to preborn.com sandy that's preborn.com sandy. And make your most generous donation. All right. Rod Martin is going to join us today. He's one of my favorites. Now he's such a great guest and, he writes constantly, just great stuff because he has great knowledge. I'll give him a proper introduction when he joins us. But Rod has, writes these things that go out. He has like several hundred thousand, people that read his stuff and it just started, or maybe a million. I've forgotten how many. He's just started writing a few a few months ago to me, maybe six months, I don't know. But you can find his [email protected] that's rodmartin.org, and sign up for it yourself and I guarantee you you won't be sorry because he has so much knowledge. So today we're going to talk to the man himself on this edition of Sandy Rios 247 from American Family Radio. Sandy Rios. We are not called to be nice. We are often called to be confrontational.
Sandy Rios: And here with me in D.C. is Fox News contributor Sandy Rios.
Sandy Rios: I think the most important thing we need to demonstra our children is genuineness, that we actually believe what we say we believe.
Rod Martin: Longtime Fox News contributor Sandy Rios.
Sandy Rios: Thanks very much for being with us. Seek justice. Not social justice, but God's justice. What's right and what's wrong.
Rod Martin: Sandy Rios is with the American Family Association, a pro life radio talk show host.
Sandy Rios: We've got to say this is the line. Life is sacred.
Sandy Rios: Director of Governmental affairs for the American Family Association.
Sandy Rios: Step up.
Speaker C: Step up.
Sandy Rios: Speak up. Say something. Do something.
Speaker B: I grew up in Quebec. I watched the 1980 referendum as a student and covered the 1995 referendum as a CBC reporter. This I've learned. A referendum divides people in ways elections don't. And that's what's happening now in Alberta. So I'm here to find out who asked for this referendum. When polls can sit consistently show about three quarters of Albertans want to stay part of Canada. First stop, foothills.
Speaker C: Alberta.
Speaker B: I'm here to meet Jeff Rath. With his cowboy hat and his outsized swagger, Rath has become one of the key figures in the push for Alberta's independence.
Speaker C: My brother lives in Ottawa. I mean, it's like I have nothing against any of my fellow Canadians, period. We in Alberta are just fed up with the system. We want. We want to be able to control our own destinies, and we don't want a bunch of voters in Quebec and the Maritimes determining our future anymore. Hello, Mama.
Speaker B: He's many things. A rancher, a constitutional lawyer, a political pugilist. But whatever you do, don't call him a separatist.
Speaker C: We don't look at ourselves as separatists. We, you know, we're advocates for a free and independent Alberta.
Speaker B: But how can you not see yourself as a separatist if you don't see that Alberta would be separating from Canada?
Speaker C: Well, we don't see it that way, though. You know, people can call it separatist, but I mean, it's, you know, it's that negative connotation. You know, Quebec separatists, Alberta separatists. It's like, no, we're just regular folk that want a free and independent country.
Sandy Rios: Okay, Sandy Rios with you. Here's the thing. there's a drama playing out north of our border. We hear a lot about Canada, but it's about tariffs and disputes between President Trump and Mark Carney. But honestly, even though my son lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, I had no idea this drama was playing out until I read an article by my friend Rod Martin, and he wrote an article called, Canada's Secession Crisis now has Two fronts. So Rod has been with me before. I will reintroduce him. He's the founder and CEO of the Martin Organization. He's a technology entrepreneur, futurist, hedge fund manager, thought leader, and accident activist. And he's all of those things. By the way, that's not just somebody writing some puffy bio. This is really who Rod is. He's written extensively for Forbes, Human Events, Fortune, and Fox News, and is a member of Stratford's board of contributors. He's also one of the founders of PayPal. There's a lot more to say about Rod. In fact, I will. I will say it. Actually, he's just written a book called Trump's NewSong World Reorder. Trump's NewSong NewSong World Reorder. And by the way, we're going to be talking to him about that book probably next week. But I wanted you to know it's. It comes out on October 20th, but you can order it now. Ah, so there you go. Trump's NewSong World reorder, available, on Amazon or wherever you like to buy your books. You can buy it in advance. All right, so, Rod, with all of that being said, goodness, I have to ask you. I know you have a very big mind. Okay, so what drew you to this? How did this come on your radar about the secession movement in Canada right now? The current secession movement?
Rod Martin: Well, it's really quite an extraordinary thing. very, very much like the Brexit movement, which took a long time to get off the ground. When I was a student at Cambridge, we were talking about what was not yet named Brexit in the early 1990s, and it gre. And it grew and it grew because over time, most English people realized that we had long since crossed over from the EU Being beneficial to Great Britain, and it had become a tyranny. Brussels imposes rules without any accountability, without any fire ability. these things just completely bypass national parliaments, and here you are, completely beholden to them and forced to comply. And that's the situation in Canada today. Ottawa has taken ridiculous amounts of power, and we see it in the destruction of religious liberty. We see it in the fact that more people are euthanized in Canada than die of gunshot wounds in the United States. Everything in Canada is going horribly awry, including this stupid trade war that didn't have to happen. Prime Minister Mark Carney was perfectly clear when he announced he had walked away from the trade negotiations, that Donald Trump had offered him the best trade deal any country had ever received in the history of the United States. And he still walked away. Because Carney isn't angling for the benefit of Canada. Carney is angling to be the next president of the European Union. He is a globalist, a citizen of three different countries, which means he isn't really a citizen of any of them. And honestly, he's a disgrace. So when you look at Alberta seeking to become independent so that it isn't funding that, because Alberta functions as a colony of Ottawa, it is a cash cow. It is constant taxation without representation. A population of 5 million people paying 40 billion a, year to subsidize the other provinces. It is ridiculous. And then you look at Quebec, and Quebec just elected a government that's committed to. To an independence referendum within its first term. So all of a sudden, this is cascading across Canada. You see it in the west, you see it in the east for completely different reasons. And Carney is truly destroying his country. Canada is a sinking ship. And if this doesn't change pretty soon, I doubt the Albertans will vote, for a referendum this month. But they very likely will when Quebec does, within three or four years.
Sandy Rios: You know, when, when Bruce, and I were in Vancouver visiting the kids, during the time of the election of Mark Carney. Remember, I know you know this, but there was a conservative candidate that was so popular and some of the conservatives that we got acquainted with in Vancouver were so excited about. I think his name was Pierre. He's a Frenchman. and he was, he was like the Canadian Trump. And then President Trump really made a huge mistake when he started talking about, you know, making Canada part of the United States. And the Canadians were furious. And so all of Mark Carney's commercials, all of them Rod, were about Donald Trump, not about Canada, not about anything he was going to do. Every, every commercial. It was really pretty obnoxious. And so I just want to make that point that he was, he doesn't have substance. I don't know. He's got ambition but no substance. So you wrote this article, Canada's secession crisis now has two fronts. And you, you just described it really, with Quebec, which is a French speaking province, they've tried to secede many times, just, just talk about that for a second. And there, there really are some natural reasons why they might do that. Can you explain?
Rod Martin: Absolutely. I mean, first of all, Quebec is French speaking and French culturally, certainly not Parisian French today. They've been dissevered from the French empire since the 1760s. that was part of the French and Indian War. And if you go to Quebec City, which is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world, you know, this charming old world French colonial city, you, can go to the Plains of Abraham, just up the street from the Fertaud Chateau Frontenac. And that is where the British defeated the French in 1759 and annexed Quebec. Okay, well, they never got over it. They don't want to rejoin France, but they never really got over being conquered. They're not super happy about it. And you have a persistent strain of Quebec political thought in the direction of secession and independence. And the truth is Quebec would be a very, very, solid mid tier country if it were independent like Alberta. It sends way too much money to Ottawa. And if you eliminated that ridiculous over taxation, Quebec would actually have enough money to run all of its Social services at a better level than they're currently getting from the Canadian confederation. And that's doubly true in Alberta. Alberta is just being plundered. So these guys make perfectly sensible independent nations. They could be part of norad, they could be part of NATO. their trade is mostly with us. In the Alberta case in particular, 89% of their exports come to the United States. And Ottawa does its best to throw monkey wrenches in that all the time, as we're seeing with the current trade dispute. But in Quebec, there is a real issue of national identity, of cultural continuity, and of, not seeing that go extinct. And there is a real feeling on the part of many up there that that could all be better taken care of if they charted their own course. And I can't disagree with them. So, you know, there's probably some chance Alberta might want to become a state of the United States. That's possible. Not super likely, but possible. Quebec? No, they would just be independent. And honestly, that would be better for
Sandy Rios: now, that would be interesting because geographically, you know, Quebec is. Or Alberta, I mean, is in the middle of. Then British. British Columbia would be isolated, from the other provinces separated by Alberta if it became a state. The thing to think about that is pretty amazing. and one thing before we leave Quebec, because you tell, in your article, Canada's, secession crisis is. Now. Has. Now has two fronts. you talk about how Quebec gets, what, three Supreme Court justices and many of the other provinces don't get any three of nine. Now why did they do that?
Sandy Rios: Why?
Rod Martin: to buy them off from the previous secession attempts. I, mean, they had a referendum in 1980 that didn't go that well for the separatists. But in 1995, they came within just a few votes. I mean, it was close. And so Ottawa has made a habit of buying off Quebec with all kinds of sops that the other nine provinces do not get, including Quebec's veto over three of nine Supreme Court justices. That's just absurd. Lots of provinces won't have any. And so this is a real pain in a lot of people's, butts over there in Alberta and Saskatchewan and other places where they feel like, gee whiz, you know, we're going to bend over backward for them. But the Westerners, who are very, very much, the Texas of the north, we're treated like some kind of, insurrectionist rebels or something, which is ridiculous. So this, over time, is going to add, I think, to the Alberta movement. Again, they vote on the 19th. I don't think that the leave group is going to win that. I think they'd be lucky probably to get one third, and it might be closer to 25%, but it's the beginning, not the end. Yes, they haven't had a lot of time to organize. They will now, and they'll have a taste of. I know that doesn't sound like victory, but it is.
Sandy Rios: I mean, sure it is.
Rod Martin: That many people. To vote for something, you're on track. And that's how everything begins. That's how women's suffrage began. That's how everything. Every big change starts. And as the Quebec situation develops over the next three to four years, I think you'll see Alberta much more likely to go as well. By the way, one last thing on that, it's worth noting a lot of people are making a lot of Alberta being landlocked, but it really isn't. It's an irony, but it's true that under international law, Canada would have to treat Alberta better, in terms of sea access and pipeline access to the Pacific if they were independent than if they're part of the Confederation. It's just absurd. And, of course, most of what they ship comes to the United States anyway, but they would actually have better access across British Columbia to the Pacific if they were independent than they do today. And that is an absurdity. It's abhorrent. It is reminiscent of some of the things in our own Declaration of Independence.
Sandy Rios: Well, it's also a catalyst for people coming out to vote for separating. I was, going back and looking at some clips, just to acquaint myself with some of the history on this, and here's an interesting one from, Canadian Broadcasting, and it's a little of the history, I would say, of how. What's another catalyst for this movement? Let's listen.
Speaker B: Clip 2 Two Trudeaus, Pierre Elliot, whose energy and agricultural programs made him a political pariah in the West.
Rod Martin: There have been various measures taken by the government. I'm afraid there have been quite a.
Speaker B: And son Justin with his carbon tax and Covid mandates that help reignite a largely dormant movement. Canadians know that the way to get through this pandemic is for everyone to get vaccinated. So unless people have a medical exception, they will not be able to board a plane or a train in Canada if they are unvaccinated.
Speaker C: Justin Trudeau says, I'm no longer allowed to fly because I didn't get vaccinated. I'm now a prisoner of Alberta. So I turned to A friend one day. And I said, okay, I guess if Trudeau won't let me leave Alberta, I'm gonna pick up my entire province and go. And I've been literally working on it nonstop ever since, I gotta say. What a beautiful sunny afternoon in Edmonton, Alberta.
Speaker B: Rath relishes his role a bull in the china shop of contemporary Federation.
Speaker C: We are basically, you know, led around by the nose by whatever leader happens to rise to the top, as if we lived in North Korea. And I, for one, am sick and tired of being governed that way.
Sandy Rios: Wow. So you can see, I mean, really, this has been happening to the Canadian people with, very little break. I know. What was the prime minister who was conservative? I've actually met him. Jason Kenney was his deputy. I think Jason is the, head of. Sorry, I'm doing this from memory. The head of Alberta, that province. Is he not Jason Kenny?
Rod Martin: Daniel Smith is premier in Alberta. Now. Canada is filled with outstanding conservative politicians who just can't win anymore. And one of the reasons that they can't win is. And Victor Davis Hansen has been making a big point of this since the trade dispute really kicked up. Victor Davis Hansen points out that 45% of the current Canadian population was born in some other country or is the child of someone born in some other country. The leftist government has been actively replacing the population of Canada with mostly third worlders who do not share Canadian values, don't share the heritage of Anglo American culture or law. And so the country just keeps moving further left. And needless to say, that's concentrated in the east, that's in Laurentian Canada, and they dominate the west like a colony. It is just insufferable.
Sandy Rios: So there are, You know what I've seen firsthand, we have some very conservative Canadian friends, in Vancouver. It's not my son. It's, friends of people that he knows, and we talk to them a lot. In fact, he ran for office, in Vancouver. And of course, Vancouver, I believe, is probably as far left as any of the provinces. But they're fed up too. And, you know, when you go to Vancouver, you probably know this Rod, but what you just said is absolutely true. They are filled with Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, it's just over. It's very, very seldom that you see a, ah, group of just, you know, original Canadians, original descent. It just. It's becoming very different. Very different. But of course, in their case, the Chinese have brought in tons of money, but that's caused them to the housing to go up to just exponential race worse than the problems, problems that we have here with housing. But that's just an aside. All right, so, right now, so we've got two provinces. We've got, Quebec and we have Alberta. And did you not say, did I not read in your article that their Saskatchewan is actually towing with the idea?
Rod Martin: Also there is a growing movement in Saskatchewan. It's not as far along as either of the other two. But, certainly if Quebec were to make a serious stab at this again, Alberta would be encouraged by that. And if Alberta took a stronger stand, I think Saskatchewan might very well go along. And if you had a western republic consisting of both Alberta and Saskatchewan in particular, which would be the smart play, that's a very serious country. It's also one of the highest net worth countries on the planet. We're talking about a very wealthy country. If they were independent and not having all of their wealth siphoned off to Ottawa for eastern welfare programs, but also their industry blocked, their pipelines blocked, their drilling blocked, all the things that make that wealth are milked for Ottawa's cash, but also prevented from enriching Albertans. And it's just absurd. It's just not okay. If you put those two provinces together, you'd have. You have one of the nicest countries on the planet, no question.
Sandy Rios: So Rod, what would be. Now I know there's a lot of speculation of even, even the thing I might ask you about, like if they simply become independent states or the second thing, if they should possibly actually want to join the United States, what would be the repercussions for us? And no, first of all, first question the repercussions from Canada, because as I look at the map here, Vancouver, British Columbia, or M. British Columbia is at least the city is very, very liberal. I can't imagine them seceding. I doubt they could, you know, find the energy to even do that. And so you've got a country that would be British, you know, British Columbia and then stretching, cross, passing over these two provinces into Manitoba and Ontario. So it would be just be odd. It'd be an odd configuration, wouldn't it? How would that affect Canada? Could they even sustain themselves without these, oil rich provinces?
Rod Martin: They would have a very hard time paying their monstrous oversized government's bills without Alberta in particular. And honestly, Quebec would struggle with that too. A lot of the money that they do receive from the federal government actually came from Alberta. So they would have a problem there. But the outflow from Quebec To Ottawa is also pretty large as a result of which it nets out where they could do quite well. Alberta would just be rich. It would be ridiculous how rich they would be as an independent country. And honestly, they could be even richer as a state. If they were a slave state. They wouldn't have the overhead of embassies around the world and a military and all the different things that an independent country actually has to have. And so, I would make the case that they should join the union. I would hope they would. Not least because it would mean two more Republican senators. So I'm really, I'm m really for that just as much as I'm against BC Joining the United States, because that would be two Bernie Sanders kind of senators.
Sandy Rios: Exactly.
Rod Martin: But regardless, these are all peaceful countries. We're not going to go to war with Canada.
Government Overreach In Canada And Economic Decline Fueling Separatist Sentiments And Calls For Change
Canada is not going to invade Alberta any more than they have. I mean, you'll recall you ran the COVID clip. During COVID the Canadian government under Trudeau, Mark Carney's successor, actually shut churches that dared to meet, during the lockdown and in one m notorious case built a chain link fence around the church and put 250 uniformed armed Mounties guarding the perimeter to keep people from entering this church. It's absolutely ridiculous. It sounds like something out of a civil war. And, and so. But they're not going to do more than that. I mean, let's be real. Canada, Canada couldn't beat a boy scout troop these days. So
Sandy Rios: they can, they can certainly intimidate. And they do that. They intimidate people, they frighten people and they force these horrible policies. Even if they don't have an army, they have a way of doing this. And by the way, let me, I'm interrupting you, but are you talking about Arturo Paul? Is it Pawski? Pawawski? the pastor who famously kicked the police, out of his church. Is that the pastor you're speaking about?
Rod Martin: Do you know, I believe that's actually a different one. There were a bunch of these cases. The one I'm talking about, I can't remember the pastor's name now, but it was extraordinary. The pictures were just unbelievable. You can't imagine that this could be happening in a free country. But again, you know, if they were, if they were free, I mean, first of all, they would do that. They're Canadians, they're super nice. They're just gonna do it by the book. Everything is gonna be, you know, every I, dotted legally. And there is a mechanism to do this, as evidenced by The Quebec referendums. So that being the case, they would dot their I's, they would do it all right, Everybody be mad at each other and nobody would do anything violent. And net, net, all of these places would probably get along better if they were separated than otherwise. And by all of these places, I mean US and Canada as well. We would, we would all find a way to get along.
Sandy Rios: Well, I hope so. I mean, Canada is like, they're always in a bad mood. Canadians, you know, for all of their so called nices. I'm not sure how nice they really are. They, they act nice. I like Canadians. I've got obviously friends and family who are up there. But on this Arturo Pawalski, I just, I may have his last name slightly wrong, Rod, but I saw him in NewSong York City just about three weeks ago. And he's the Polish pastor who did, you know, force the police out of his church. And he's yelling, you're Nazis. You're Nazis. You'll get out of my church. And then they drag him down the street, I mean, and they put him in prison, for quite a long time. So they got pretty brutal at those nice Canadians. But, so that. Which is, is it Alberta and also maybe Saskatchewan that are more Christian in their policies and their, population quite
Rod Martin: a bit more so, than much of the rest of the country. And really, I said it earlier, Alberta is the Texas of the north. They are very, very similar to us in countless ways. And of course the biggest rodeo in the world is the Calgary Stampede. And this is an entire province of cowboys and oil, oil drilling rigs and everything that would be recognizable in Dallas or Midlands. So they think a lot more like us. they do a lot more business with us than any of the rest of the country, which is saying a lot because I mean, 70% of Canada's exports go to the United States as it is. So it's not like, it's not like the rest of the country isn't pretty married to us. And I'm sitting here in Florida where I think every second person I see is from Canada. I mean, they live here.
Sandy Rios: That's right.
Rod Martin: I live in Florida because they want our doctors, they don't want to have to go to Canadian Health, they want to come here for it. and so, yeah, we get along great with these folks. But you're right, the reason for Canada to exist is anti Americanism. And we must never lose track of that just because they all call us buddy. You know, the truth is they too could have left the British Empire in 1776 with us. And we made all kinds of overtures to achieve that. They didn't want to. And they didn't want to be part of the U.S. they are an exercise in holding on and not being part of what we built. And Alberta is the most obvious part of Canada where that is a lot less true. So it would be a good fit if they wanted to be a state. I. I don't know that they would, but that would actually be good for both. And most, of the rest of Canada should probably just, you know, come
Sandy Rios: visit, you know, think of. Yeah. And then go home. But the, the irony is to me that Canada, was, you know, British. It is still a province, or what do you call the word? It's a, something of Great Britain. I mean, they still claim the Queen
Rod Martin: Commonwealth country and M. King Charles is their king.
Sandy Rios: Right, exactly. So that's the sentimental thing that they hang to and they think. Hang on to. And of course they think they feel superior because their education system used to be great. They did reflect the best, I think, of British culture. But now, ironically, as you described, they've been overrun by every country, just about that you can imagine Sikhs, there's tons of Sikhs there. And, so they're losing their national identity. The reason why that they wouldn't join, our country is no longer there. And they just, they've lost all their identity, I think, Rod. I don't think they have an identity anymore.
Rod Martin: They're doing their best to throw it away, that's for sure. Which again is quite ironic under the circumstances that. But the truth is they're not just losing their identity, they're not just losing their culture, they're losing their economy. Since Trudeau took office in the middle of the last decade, so about 10 years ago, Canada's economy has just flatlined. And you look at a chart of it beside American economic growth, much of which was during the pandemic and under Biden, and terrible things happening here, and we have just shot above them on a per capita basis. It's so bad. Canada has the same population as California, which is a tiny fraction of the size of giant Canada, and yet California has twice the GDP of all of Canada. M. It's just mind numbing because 15 years ago that certainly wasn't true. It's very much like what happened in Europe. In roughly 15 year period, we've gone from the EU having a larger economy than the United States to having only 2/3 of the economy of the United States. These are choices. This isn't just some bad thing that happened. This happened because they voted for socialists. And the socialists have wrecked those places partly with immigration from countries that hate them. I mean, that's definitely part of it, but also just horrible, stifling economic policy that prevents the creation of startups, prevents the exploitation of resources that they are richly endowed with, and prevents young Canadians from having a future. millennials and Gen Zers here talk about not being able to afford a house. Well, guess what, it's twice as bad in Canada and getting worse fast. So there's a reason they are here so much. And there's a reason that things are beginning to spin apart. And you see much the same, forces at, ah, play in much of Europe right now.
The Reordering Of The Global Order: Trump's New World Reorder And The Future Of American Leadership
Sandy Rios: Oh, totally. Even Germany. I mean, I think Germany has been the cash cow, of course for the eu, but I just read that they're, they're beginning to feel the kind of creak economically. and the other ones really that have been the supporters. It's sad actually, Rod. There's no happiness here and no happiness to see Canada, be in this condition and people be trapped in this socialist disorder. Which reminds me of a book I should.
Rod Martin: Yeah, yeah, Trump was again Trump NewSong World Reorder. You can order it right now by going to trump trumpsneworldreorder.com or go to Amazon or wherever you want to go. And the point of the book, just briefly, is that we are in the midst of an epochal transformation. This is not a, one year or one presidential term thing. We are actually completely reordering the post war consensus that has existed since 1945. And for that matter, the deep state that rules us, without any susceptibility to elections or an elected official firing them or anything that has been in place since FDR instituted it in the 30s. And Trump is just taking a wrecking ball to the whole thing. But not in a chaos monster kind of way, rather in a very creative way that makes elections matter again here at home, by making that giant bureaucracy accountable to the executive branch that's actually elected by the people and oversees reordering our affairs, whether you're talking about trade, defense, whatever it may be, in a way that serves Americans first. We pay for the global order. We protect the global order. We should benefit from the global order. And for far too long, Democrat and Republican administrations alike have prevented us from doing that because they've had the exact same worldview as Mark Carney or the eu and Donald Trump is just annihilating that. That is the biggest thing. Hacking off Mark Carney, who is the consummate, globalist. Before he was Prime Minister of Canada, he was governor of the bank of England, one of the other countries he's the citizen of, and presided over the central bank in Great Britain during Brexit, did everything he could to prevent Brexit, failed. So now he's trying to take another bite of the apple in Canada, you
Sandy Rios: know, adding to what you just said, which is great, and you and I are going to talk about this at greater length. Trump's new world reorder next week. But, the thing I want to emphasize is that President Trump has made it clear that he's not reordering and for the benefit of the United States, without consideration for other countries. He said right from the very beginning, you can, you can. We want you to prosper, too. Build your nation, be proud of your nation. he's not doing it to destroy any countries. he's doing it to try to, I think, for the benefit, really, the whole world. He's an amazing man. I just can't even comprehend, Rod, how he has his mind wrapped around this whole world, every. Every inch of it understands. Seems every country, every, you know, government. He is really extraordinary. He's. I know he's goofy, but I think people see the goofiness and forget the brilliance. He's a brilliant, brilliant man. So I'm grateful he's our president. Well, I just hope this works out. I hope, Alberta can, secede, and Quebec, too, if they want to do that, because something has to change in Canada. It's just wrong how they are, even if they're not, you know, bringing out the, their army, which doesn't really much exist, they're intimidating people, making their lives miserable. Yeah. So, any final.
Rod Martin: I. I thoroughly agree.
Sandy Rios: Yeah. Any further thoughts before we say goodbye? Oh, I have a further thought. I want to tell you that Rod writes these great articles all the time. We had them on a couple of weeks ago about the 25 accomplishments of Donald Trump as. And he's not saying there are only 25. He's just trying to remind people of 25. And then he wrote another list of them, and they are just great. And they're not like. It's not like when people write their resume and they exaggerate. Rod is telling you what President Trump has actually done. And, it's a very. It's a huge list. If you wrote the whole list, but, if you want to read what he writes, he's on substack. And some of you, though, may not be on substack. And if, but if you are, just go to, said Rod Martin report.
Rod Martin: Well, all they have to do is type in rodmartin.org okay, rodmartin.org and that will get them anything they want and it can come straight to their inbox. They don't have to go on the sub stack app or anything like that, although they can, and that's nice too. But yeah, rodmartin.org, we've got hundreds of thousands of followers. daily geopolitical analysis, Fox Business Calls, absolutely phenomenal. come join us. It'll be fun. And by the way, Sandy, you'll get a kick out of this. tomorrow we are publishing the Trump new top 25 achievements. Because he has achieved so many amazing things since I first published that at the end of August that we had to make a new list. It's unbelievable. Including, get this, the lowest poverty rate ever recorded in American history and the highest inflation adjusted median income in American history and the lowest child poverty rate in American history. So, yeah, gas is too high, we all agree, but things are getting massively better incredibly fast. The idea that Donald Trump was going to wave his wand and everything be perfect in a year is just silly. We need to help him. We need to turn out and vote for his team and we need to tell our story. If conservatives will just talk to their friends and tell them even a handful of things on that list, we can win this election. It really is that simple.
Sandy Rios: Yes, I totally agree. It's ignorance. It's bad press. that, what do we call, what is President Trump? The corrupt press? Whatever they are, they are corrupt and they leave out. That's probably the biggest danger is they don't tell you things. They select what you're supposed to know and they put a twist on it. And that includes Fox. And so I think, you need to learn who to listen to. I always tell you guys that, you need to pick out people that you believe you can trust. And I'm telling you, Fox is not one of those right now, but Rod Martin is. So go to rodmartin.org and sign up for his, articles and then use those to share with your friends, but make it, put them on your list. You don't even have to say anything about voting, but just say, did you know this? Did you remember this? it would be a really powerful tool. Well, Rod, it's always a pleasure. So thank you. Thank you very much. And, we'll put this up so people can listen to it. That's another way to help is to put these articles, the discussion we had on the 25 things President Trump's discovered, that's on our Play say playlist. It's part of our podcast collection. And you can share that with your friends. Also trumps new world reorder.com you can order that by going to the by rodmartin.org rodmartin.org did I get all that right?
Rod Martin: Yes, ma'. Am.
Sandy Rios: Okay, good for me. All right, Rod, thanks. It's so good to talk to you. And we'll talk to you again soon, okay?
Rod Martin: Yes, ma'. Am.
Sandy Rios: All right. Sandy rios on Sandy Rios 24.
Rod Martin: 7 this is Sandy Rios 24. 7 on American Family Radio.
Alberta's Independence Movement Gains Momentum Fueled By Economic Grievances And Dissatisfaction With Canadian Policies
Sandy Rios: Abortions performed by Planned Parenthood were among the top leading causes of death in America, revealing the terrifying truth of the left's anti life agenda. According to Planned Parenthood's 202223 annual report, Abortions performed by the organization accounted for the top four leading causes of death. Think about that. Paid for by our tax dollars. And honestly, this freight train is going down the track so fast and so powerfully. It's really hard. It's going to be hard for us to stop this. And I think one of the best ways I've said before, I'll say again, is preborn. Preborn who is not part of the government, not part of the public debate or campaigns, but an organization that's simply providing ultrasounds for moms who are pregnant and doubting whether they should carry the baby to allow them to see their baby through ultrasound. It's an amazing process and it actually works. when the mom's see their babies, I think it doubles the chance that they will not take the life of their baby. You know, you can't beat those odds. If you'd like to help, $28 pays for one ultrasound, just one. And you can send however much you can afford. Go to preborn.com sandy that's preborn.com sandy
Rod Martin: the Sandy Rios 24. 7 podcast are available at afr.net back to Sandy Rios 24. 7 on American Family Radio. Mr. Trudeau spent 11,000 million dollars on overseas gender program. 11,000 million dollars.
Speaker B: Together, Modri, Rath and Sylvester created the Alberta Prosperity Project, using PR campaigns to build support for Alberta's sovereignty with the end goal, a referendum on independence. But none of these leaders had ever held political office, so they weren't in the position to lead Alberta out of confederation on their own. But what they did have was the path to get there, and they had the people to help make it happen.
Rod Martin: Free army.
Sandy Rios: You guys start telling the truth.
Rod Martin: You guys have helped. You guys have helped destroy this country. Get the out of here.
Speaker C: I hope every border in Canada's blocked.
Speaker B: I hope the country shuts down. It was winter 2022, and between the border blockade in Coutts, Alberta, and the trucker convoy in Ottawa, there was a group of activists furious with the federal government. They were motivated and mobilized after the pandemic. They were searching for a cause, and they found it.
Sandy Rios: You will remember that, during that time where the truckers were protesting and driving, honking people in freezing, freezing cold, hand hanging over overpasses, waving, you know, signs for freedom, and how they were treated, how they were treated. These truckers were very peaceful. They went to the. They drove to the capital from all the different provinces, over land, you know, at their own expense, very expensive. And they get to Ottawa and they park in the streets. They don't really. They have, they set up food trucks for themselves. They are. I saw so many interviews. I play them for you very respectful. they just wanted, there to be freedom in Canada. They were sick of the transgender stuff and all of it, and the COVID lockdowns, for heaven's sake. And so they were wonderful people. They just loved their country. But they were in a, in their own way rebelling from these, untoward policies that were threatening them so much. And what happened to them? Does anybody remember? The government went into their bank accounts and locked them. some of the men had families back home, wives and children, and they couldn't get any money at all from the bank because the government, the federal government of Canada, locked their accounts. Some of them got arrested. It was horrific what they did to these people. And so you can understand why that laid the groundwork, for this secession movement. And I, you know what? After my conversation with Rod, I hope they succeed. Ah, they're going to be voting on, at least in, Alberta on October 19th. I think it's kind of like voting as to whether they should develop a referendum, something like that. It's not a vote to secede or not. It's the preliminary step to that. There's another thing, though, I also wanted to bring to your attention, because Alberta, as Rod described, is very, very wealthy. And so Alberta, the. The province itself has developed kind of a. It's short, but it's A description of, Alberta that I think you'll Enjoy. Let's listen. Clip 5.
Sandy Rios: An independent Alberta could become one of the most prosperous nations on earth. The only thing that holding us back is Canada. Canada is declining by every metric. We have the worst food price inflation, the G7, the most unaffordable housing, the lowest investment per worker and the highest household debt. And voters in eastern Canada keep re electing the same people who created this mess.
Speaker F: It doesn't matter how Albertans vote. The election is over before the polls even close here. There will never be a government in Ottawa that truly answers to Alberta. Alberta sits on $14 trillion worth of oil and gas trapped in the ground by Ottawa's reckless climate policies.
Sandy Rios: The world wants what Alberta has. In an independent Alberta, investment would flood in, not flee.
Speaker F: Independence would give indigenous Albertans more choice over their future instead of leaving them under Otto's control. By no longer sending $40 billion a year to Ottawa, an independent Alberta could replace every federal program, do it better, and potentially drive income tax to zero.
Speaker B: We are at a crossroads. We can continue down Canada's path of decline and chaos, or we can build a better future. The choice is ours. On October 19th, vote for Alberta independence.
The Importance Of Action And Conservative Values In Saving The Country And Supporting Pro-Life Initiatives
Sandy Rios: All right. Isn't that amazing? they are really serious. And the Native Americans, the indigenous peoples, the Canadians call them, are all in for this as well. So, the, the vote again is on October 19th. It's the preliminary vote, but, but it will be a test as to whether Albertans really want to succeed. Kind of taking the temperature. So, wasn't this interesting? I think it's very, very interesting. And it will have an effect on Canada and the United States and our relationship could make a lot of changes. Well, thank you so much for listening. I want to remind you that PreBorn is our sponsor. If you would like to help them, please go to preborn.com sandy that's preborn.com sandy and I'm going to add one more thing before we close. A lot of you, you know, the, the general election hurtling along 20 something days, 20 maybe days now. And if you're like a lot of people I talk to, they just, they're very concerned but they don't know what to do. and bluntly, we get so many things I do in my e, in my text, just constantly asking for money. Most of them claim to be from President Trump. But you know what that really is is win read, which is the Republicans, money raising arm. It's win read, but they don't tell you that they use President Trump's name and all of this and they write these texts. And I don't ever give to that because I know how the Republicans spend their money. And they often don't support the candidates that I want. And so there's a different way to give. And this is something that you could do. Turning Point Action is sending their members, their young people out across the country to go from door to door and talk to people about the election and talk about, registering if it's not too late in their, their area or boat voting. They have just a different method in every, every area depending on where they are with the election cycle. But they're doing great work. In the last election, two years ago, 10 out of 10 states that they, solicited and, or went door to door actually were won by conservatives, in various, offices. So, Turning Point Action is the place to go. And I suggest to you, to give them your money. I think that will be the best investment. Bruce and I are doing that, the very best investment for this election, if you don't already have an avenue to help. But each of us wants to do something right, not just sit back, really just sit back and see what happens. Just pray. Look, and look, I'm not saying prayer is. I, don't want to diminish prayer in any way, but I do believe God has told us in James that faith without works is dead. And we are trying to save our country for moral reasons and for the sake of our children. This is not immoral. This is actually a righteous thing to do, to try to, And it may not be the right candidates, but the overall thing is to try to keep in place people who have conservative values, in every way. So please, I just think this is something you could do. Give money to Turning Point Action to their, get out the vote, efforts. I think you'll be really glad, and I think there'll be some rewards for doing that, maybe be heavenly. But also we might see some really good results on election night. All right, well, I am done now. I'm in. I am done. And so, again, PreBorn is our sponsor. We love to have you support them. Go to preborn.com sandy that's preborn.com sandy and thank you for listening to today's edition of Sandy Rios 247
Because of you, we can invite mothers considering abortion into a preborn network clinic to meet their baby. And when she has that close encounter of the best kind in her WOMB, she is 80% more likely to choose life.
