RFK Jr. Suspends Campaign and Endorses Trump; Discussing Preborn Ministry's Life-Saving Work
RFK Jr.: So on August 23, 2024, I suspended my campaign and I endorsed President Trump. Later that day, on stage at the Turning Point rally in Arizona, I met President Trump. And that moment would never have happened without my friend Charlie Kirk.
Sandy Rios: All right, that's the voice of RFK Jr that's part of his speech. Just a little tease of his speech at the Republican midterm convention. It really was an amazing speech, and I want you to hear it because I suspect many of you haven't. And so, Bruce has joined me today. We're going to talk about the Kennedy family, and we're going to talk about, RFK and the speech. But first, interestingly enough, you know, for me to talk about preborn right now, in light of the woman's murder of her three children, strangling them, it's against God and against nature's God. It's the opposite of what how God created women to handle their babies. And of course, abortion's been around for such a long time, so that women have gotten used to killing their babies. And maybe that's a precursor to why Lindsay Clancy was, so favored among women. It's just amazing. PreBorn's the opposite. It's the standard of life, the standard, God standard, in trying to just persuade women to keep their babies. And they do that through ultrasound. They, they, they show the women little photos of, inter, inter uterine of their babies, you know, moving around, sucking their thumbs, whatever. And most women just, just cannot bring themselves to terminating the life of their baby when they see that. And so we've had really good success with that. I say we because I've been working with preborn for a long time and, just have such respect for the way and the fact that it's successful. I always say, I think it's God's way. It's God's way. And so if you'd like to help preborn, so many of you already do, and I thank you so much for that. Go to preborn.com Sandy$28 will provide one ultrasound. and the life of a baby could be saved. So go to preborn.com sandy and make your most generous donation.
Sandy Rios Introduces RFK Jr. and Discusses the Legacy of the Kennedy Family's Camelot Era
All right, today we're going to be talking about RFK Jr. I think you're going to find this interesting on today's edition of Sandy Rios 247 from American Family Radio, Sandy Rios. We are not called to be nice. We are often called to be confrontational. And, and here with me in D.C.
Sandy Rios: is Fox News contributor Sandy Rios. I think the most important thing we need to demonstrate to our children is genuineness, that we actually believe what we say we believe. Our longtime Fox News contributor, Sandy Rios, thanks very much for being with us.
Sandy Rios: Seek justice. Not social justice, but God's justice, what's right and what's wrong. Sandy Rios is with the American Family Association, a pro life radio talk show host.
Sandy Rios: We've got to say, this is the line. Life is sacred. Director of governmental M affairs for the American Family Association. Step up, speak up. Say something, do something. President Kennedy and the first lady venture
Speaker D: from the White House in January 1961. The new president and his first lady emerge from the White House, and a new era begins in Washington known as the Age of Camelot. Author Thurston Clark has written extensively about the Kennedy years.
Speaker E: Kennedy, she was always extremely well dressed. the women love to see her.
Speaker D: The public's fascination with Jackie Kennedy began during the presidential campaign.
Sandy Rios: I think politics is one of the most rewarding lives a woman can have to be married to a politician. I think every woman wants to feel needed, and in politics, you are.
Speaker D: But at times, she found public life a, struggle.
Speaker E: She was somewhat secretive. She was elusive. She was like Kennedy. So she withheld herself from the public to a certain degree, and that's what made her so, I think, so appealing.
Speaker D: That appeal extended well beyond the United States. Jackie Kennedy became an international celebrity after she traveled with the president to Europe.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): I am the man who accompanied Jacqueline
RFK Jr.: Kennedy to Paris, and I've enjoyed it that once there was a fleeting wisp of glory
Sandy Rios: called Camelot.
Speaker D: Many historians see Jon Kennedy's Camelot legacy as a complementary mix of style and substance.
Speaker E: In his final months, he had finally done what Robert Frost, the poet, had urged him to do in his poem at the inaugural, which is, to marry poetry to power.
Speaker D: On the 50th anniversary of his death, the Age of Camelot remains an important part of Jon Kennedy's legacy. Jim Malone, VOA News, Washington.
Sandy Rios: Okay, Sandy Rios with you back again. And I. I just want to give you some background on RFK's past because our focus is on Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
A Thumbnail Sketch of the Tragic Kennedy Family History and John F. Kennedy's Assassination
he's the. His dad was RFK senior, of course. And we want to give you some background because it's been such a long time. I'm sure that most of you know who, Jack Kennedy is, Jon Kennedy, because that Camelot, those Camelot years were about him. and so we'll talk about that in just a second. Now, I'm going to give you a little thumbnail sketch of The Kennedy family. But if I told you everything about the Kennedy family, we would be talking for the next three days. It's a fascinating story, mostly tragic, I have to tell you. But let's start at the beginning. Joseph Kennedy was from Ireland. He was the first Kennedy of the family to come to the United States. he was a bootlegger, and made his money in illegal pursuits. And he became very, very wealthy. And he had several sons. the first son was killed tragically in a plane crash. And he had high hopes for him. He hoped that he would, become president. That was one of, Joseph Kennedy's hopes and dreams. So the mantle fell to Jon F. Kennedy, Jon Fitzgerald Kennedy, the younger son. And so he was groomed by the father to become president. And there were some nefarious things that happened in that process. We won't go into that. But let's just say he did win the presidency in 1960. And so he had other sons. Joseph Kennedy, Teddy Kennedy was one of them, and he was the senator from Massachusetts. And Robert F. Kennedy, one of the younger sons, became the Attorney General for his brother, Jon F. Kennedy. So he was the attorney general under the president, Jon F. Kennedy, and then later became a senator from NewSong York. Now, I think this part of the story you will know that Jon F. Kennedy, in 1963, was assassinated. he and his wife were in Dallas. they were in an open, a convertible, and he was shot in the head.
The Assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy Sr., RFK Jr.'s Father
It was a terribly tragic situation that, many of us, will never forget. We'll just never forget where we were and how the country just shut down for the next week. It was very, very sad. And so that was RFK Jr. S uncle, Jon F. Kennedy. Now, RFK Jr. Is the son of Robert F. Who was the Attorney General at that time when Jon F. Kennedy was assassinated. He was appointed by his brother to be his brother's attorney general. And so, Jon F. Kennedy was assassinated. And later, Robert F. Kennedy, RFK Jr. S father, was assassinated when he was currently senator from NewSong York. So there is a ton of tragedy. That's just a thumbnail sketch of the Kennedy family.
Exploring the Theory of Mob Involvement in John F. Kennedy's Assassination and Its Aftermath
But actually, just a few days ago, Bruce and I watched a fascinating documentary. there's always been this speculation about why Jon F. Kennedy was assassinated. We've heard the Cubans, the Communists, the Russians, because we were in the Cold War then. And it was a man from Russian descent who actually was an American, naturalized American, who did the shooting. That's what we've always been told. but Bruce and I saw this documentary. I'd also been told maybe it was the mob. And I never, ever understood that connection. So, Bruce, if you could briefly tell us what we learned from that, documentary, I think it'd be interesting for people to hear.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Well, like you say, there was always speculation as to whether organized crime was involved in the assassination of Jon F. Kennedy. And what we watched was a, series that talked about the intersection of several people. Frank Sinatra, Jon F. Kennedy, Sam Giancana, who was the head of the Chicago organized crime family. Judith Campbell, who was Sam Giancana's mistress, Bobby Kennedy, J. Edgar Hoover. The intersection of all these people and what it boiled down to was Joseph Kennedy wanted to really push his son Jon to be president. As you said, Sandy, his first son was really going to be the star, but he was killed in World War II. So it fell on Jon F. Kennedy to become the president in his father's eyes. His father identified Frank Sinatra, who was incredibly popular at that time, that Jon was going to run for president, as someone who could maybe help Jon Kennedy become president. there was always speculation that Frank Sinatra had ties to organized crime because of where he grew up in Hoboken, NewSong Jersey. And so Joseph Kennedy began, a friendship with Frank Sinatra. He introduced Frank Sinatra to Jon F. Kennedy, who. They became friends, and they had a lot of interest. They were both womanizers. Sinatra was somewhat starstruck by Kennedy, and that's really saying something, because Sinatra was the man at that time, to most people. And what happened is Frank, Sinatra did have an association with Sam Giancana. Sam Giancana was the head of the Chicago organized crime, family. And he was very powerful, a very ruthless man. And what happened is basically, Frank Sinatra talked Giancana into helping Kennedy try to win the presidential election in 1960. And if you remember, what happened is that election was very tight between Jon Kennedy and Richard Nixon. And it was late into the night when that election was decided and the deciding votes came out of Chicago. all these votes appeared that were all for Kennedy, pushed him over. They won Illinois, and Kennedy became the president. And the person alleged to be behind that push was Sam Giancana. Now, the Mafia doesn't do anything, but for benevolent purposes, Sam Giancana figured, okay, we got Kennedy elected. Now he will ease up on investigating organized crime. The FBI will ease up on them. And in fact, the reverse happened. as you said, Sandy, Jon F. Kennedy appointed his brother Bobby to be the Attorney General. Bobby was a well Known opponent of organized crime. And when he became the Attorney General, he really went after organized crime, and they started calling people in to, committees. In fact, he had a very pointed, go back and forth between Bobby and Sam Giancana, and, Bobby actually, teased him that, oh, you're, you're like a little girl. Every question I ask you, you giggle because Giancana was taking the Fifth Amendment. Well, you don't tell someone like Sam Giancana, he's like a little girl. And, so the speculation is that this infuriated Giancana that not only had they helped Kennedy, but then not only were they not helped organized crime, but they were, in fact doubled down on and they needed to stop this. And so the speculation is that the mob was behind, the shooting of Kennedy. And now it didn't get into really, like, the actual machinations of the shooting.
Lee Harvey Oswald's Role and Convenient Death After John F. Kennedy's Assassination
Like, was it Lee Harvey Oswald? Was he the only shooter? Were there others involved? Was Lee Harvey Oswald set up as a stooge to take the, to take the fall for the assassination of Kennedy? I don't want to get into that because we don't know. my impression is, Lee Harvey Oswald definitely shot Kennedy. I don't know that he was the only one, but he did shoot Kennedy. And then, you know, conveniently, shortly after Lee Harvey Oswald is arrested, Jack Ruby, who was a member of the organized crime family from Chicago, he ran strip clubs down in Dallas. He shoots Lee Harvey Oswald while he's in custody of the Dallas police, and he's being walked to a, ah, hearing, and he shoots him and kills him. And then Ruby, has cancer and he dies not long thereafter. So it kind of just, the trail was, you know, it was disappeared. Lee Harvey Oswald's dead. He never was able to give, I think, a complete explanation of what, he did. Lee Harvey Oswald's wife was Russian. She was an immigrant from Russia.
Lee Harvey Oswald's Background and the Mob Connection to JFK's Assassination Re-examined
Lee Harvey had been in the Marines, but he had washed out of the Marines. He had a. I don't want to call him a loser, but he was involved in a lot of far left political organizations. and so there's a lot we still wonder about when it comes to Lee Harvey Oswald.
Sandy Rios: But, but I think you and I both were convinced of the mob connection because you, you know about the mob a lot, and it just made a lot of sense. And I, we recommend that, that it's a little bit racy because of what the Kennedy men were up to.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Well, and in fact, one of the other factors is Sinatra had introduced Judith Campbell, who was Sam Giancana's mistress. He introduced, Judith Campbell to President Kennedy, and they started an affair. And there was a possibility of, you know, you were talking about this Camelot aura that everyone had, this legacy. Well, Bobby recognized the danger of what was going on. it looked like Jon Kennedy was associating with the mob and that he had this mistress. And Bobby Kennedy walked in and supposedly told Jon right to his face, he, you got to stop this affair, and you have to cut yourself off from Frank Sinatra. Which he did. And the mob.
Sandy Rios: Yeah. So anyway, that's kind of the thumbnail statute.
The Kennedy Family's Political Influence and the Public's Unawareness of JFK's Personal Life
I just wanted to give you a background on what kind of a background RFK Jr had. And the Kennedy family were like royalty for the Democrats in this country. I mean, they made, We knew nothing of this. We knew nothing about Jon F. Kennedy's womanizing. We knew nothing because the press didn't tattle or reveal things like they do now, and sometimes make things up. they didn't do that. They were very loyal to him. And we didn't know. When we found out, we were all shocked. So, but the. So they were. Again, the. Sometimes you said, Bruce, in, in Chicago, people. You go into a house, and people had pictures of Jesus and J. And Jon F. Kennedy. Right.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Well, they had two pictures up in their house. They had a picture of the Pope, and they had a picture of Jon F. Kennedy, because they were all Catholics. And, I'm telling you, all my friends had those up.
Sandy Rios: So the Kennedy name has been incredible among Democrats. And so with that, I want you to hear what JFK said, the Republican midterm convention, because I consider it pretty remarkable. I believe it's a sea change, and I don't want you to miss it. So here we go. This is part one of Rafk Jr. At the Republican midterm convention convention.
RFK Jr.: Thank you.
RFK Jr.'s Speech at Republican Convention: An Unlikely Alliance and a Shift in Political Alignments
Thank you very much. So I'm 72 years old, and for 70 years of my life, I would have bet any amount of money that I would not be addressing a Republican convention. The irony of my presence here is inescapable. I attended my first Democratic convention in 1960 when I was six years old, and I attended most of the conventions, the Democratic conventions after that. And I spoke as a keynote speaker in many of them. I grew up in a, Democratic Party of Franklin Roosevelt, of, my uncle Jon Kennedy, my father, Robert Kennedy. And ours was a party.
RFK Jr. Contrasts Past Democratic Values with Current Party Policies on Various Issues
Ours was a party of strong principles, of clear Policies and an inspiring idealistic vision for America. My uncle ran on a platform of tax cuts, strong defense and fighting communism. Does that sound familiar? The Democrats of that era stood with labor and working people and the American middle class. Nearly every cop and firefighter was a Democrat. Our party was a champion, the Bill of Rights. And particularly for unbridled free speech. It was wary of centralized government power and corporate privilege and secret intelligence agencies. My uncle and father understood the connection between free markets and functional democracy. They stirred firmly against crony capitalism on the right and socialism on the left. They were all for competition, for meritocracy and for excellence, which they thought should be a, universal aspiration for Americans. My father and uncles had served in World War II and they understood the difference between forever wars that they opposed and wars to protect our national security, which they believed we should never hesitate to defend. My family, My family played critical roles in building NIH and the CDC into centers of gold standard science that transformed America into this relentless dynamo international research. They promoted physical fitness and they protected women's sports.
Kennedy's Legacy on Israel, Freedoms, and Opposition to Intolerance and Islamism
My uncle Ted Kennedy wrote Title ix which, because he wanted to make sure that women, real women, were able, We're able to have a safe and guaranteed spot in college sports. And they stood with Israel as the bulwark of democracy. And as a beacon for press and religious freedoms, a haven for oppression, from oppression to gays and women and ethnic and religious minorities amidst, a regional sea of intolerance of misogyny, of child marriage, of human slavery and of ethnic and religious genocide. They saw Israel as America's most critical frontline ally in fighting the toxic ideology of Islamism, Which by its own accounts is waging an existential war against our country and against Western liberal democracy. It's an ideology that has subjugated, impoverished and tyrannized and tortured the people of Palestine and the people of Iran. And they openly promised to do the same to us. Democrats opposed government coercion, defended individual rights, believed that government should give Americans information, good information, and then let them trust them to make up their own minds.
The Democratic Party's Betrayal of Core Values During COVID-19 and Erosion of Rights
Democrats and labor leaders fought fiercely in my generation to stop illegal immigration at the border. During COVID I watched the Democratic party turned against every one of, its essential values, its principles and all of the policies that define my party. Democrats turned away from gold standard research and blindly defended industry sponsored, agenda driven science written by corrupt and captive regulatory agencies. And the Democrats, which were once the champions of the American Constitution, systematically obliterated the Bill of Rights and particularly beginning with the first Amendment, under the guise of combating misinformation, Democrats censored hundreds of scientists and physicians who questioned the government's dubious Covid pronouncements and orthodoxies. 37 years, 37 hours after President Biden took the oath of office, he ordered Facebook and Instagram to remove my accounts in order to prevent public debate.
Democrats' Assault on the Bill of Rights, Including Freedom of Speech, Assembly, and Worship
I'm not complaining about what happened to me, but it was a bad thing for our country. Democrats obliterated, the second leg of the first Amendment, the right to the guaranteed right of assembly. By social distancing regulations that were completely unscience based, Democrats violated the third leg of the first Amendment, the freedom to worship. They closed every church in our country for a year. Who could imagine that would have ever happened? And they kept open the liquor stores and the big box stores as essential businesses. Democrats torpedoed the 7th Amendment right to jury trial by giving liability shields to the giant pharmaceutical companies. No matter how negligent they were, no matter how reckless, no matter how toxic the ingredients, no matter how grievous your injury, you could not sue them. Democrats violated the Fifth Amendment by shutting down 3 million businesses with no due process and no just compensation. Democrats shut down the fourth Amendment protection from unlawful searches and seizures by forcing Americans to disclose their medical information before they could exercise their constitutional rights. In a single year, my party obliterated 250 years of constitutional guarantees. The only, Bill of Rights that they left unscathed was the second Amendment, and probably only because there is a second Amendment.
Democrats' Contradictory Stances on Masks, Vaccine Injuries, Women's Sports, and Meritocracy
And then the party of my body, my choice for citizens to wear masks and to submit to invasive and intrusive medical interventions against their own wills. The party of me too remember that we were all supposed to listen to women and to believe women. A cruelly silenced the voices of tens of thousands of mothers who believed that their children had suffered vaccine injuries. The Democrats declared war on women's sports, effectively destroying Title 9. Democrats condemned meritocracy openly and celebrated mediocrity. The Democratic Party became the party of elites, labeling working Americans as deplorables. Democratics cultivated deep ties with Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Ag, Big Food, Big Insurance, and the mainstream media. They embraced policies that divided Americans along racial lines. They abolished my uncle's physical fitness test because they said that competition was bad for children.
The Democratic Party's Sole Focus on Hatred for Trump, Leading to Incompetence and Corruption
Democrats abandoned all of these values and all of their traditional values, offering Americans only one, one policy, one policy that they stood for. The unbridled, sociopathic and blind hatred of a single man, Donald J. Trump. And they were so confident that Trump hatred alone was sufficient to win elections. That they abandoned accountability and made our government a predatory organism of monumental incompetence and corruption. The Democrats dismantled the public safe public integrity safeguards and opened the floodgates to thieves and fraudsters who fleeced the American medical regulatory agencies for $100 billion annually. During every year of the Biden administration, they somehow, they somehow lost 360,000 children, and they turned our federal government into the biggest child trafficking operation in world history. The Democratic Party, in short, lost its way. I mourn the fact, and, neither my father nor my uncle would recognize the Democratic Party of today.
RFK Jr.'s Speech Declares Politics Now About Sanity Versus Insanity and Common Sense Versus Communism
It struck m me this was no longer about left and right. It was about sane and insane. It was about common sense, and communism.
Sandy Rios: All right, that's the first part. You're listening to RFK Jr. This was his speech at the Republican midterm Convention. And I would just say that the courage that I hear in his voice. Do you have any idea the rejection of his family to him now, now that he's become a Republican, working with a Republican president, when his whole family has been Democratic royalty, and that he's, calling the party out in such a detailed way, and he still does.
Comparing RFK Jr.'s Fearless Stance to His Father's and His Current Role in HHS
It reminds me of his dad, RFK Sr. who was, when he was Attorney General, he was absolutely fearless. I mean, Bruce just described, how he took on Giancano in a hearing. totally fearless. And that's how I think, RFK Jr. Is. Bruce, any brief comments before we get to part two? Because it's even more fun.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Well, I concur with you that. How could anyone think of that? Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Switched parties basically, because he wanted to or because it was going to help him. His whole life has been turned upside down, as you said. His own family have turned their back on him and have attacked him relentlessly. he's a rich person. He could have just sat back and not worried about the country, but he saw what was going on. And I give him all the credit in the world for having the guts to identify the problems with the Democratic Party and point them out to people, because he's a great spokesman to do that, because he knows the inner workings of the party, and he's seen where it's gone and from where it used to be.
Sandy Rios: And just back to one more thing before we start the second half here. He is currently the secretary of, hhs, which is over the NIH and the cdc, and his own uncles started the NIH and cdc. And he's Absolutely right. They created the gold standard in science and, medicine. And we were the recipients of that for years until we realized through Covid that it had degenerated to the point where it was lying to us. And I think that was so traumatic for medical people because when they, NIH and the CDC were the gold standard and they'd been so corrupted. But let's go ahead. This is part two, and this tells how he actually, came to work with President Trump. You're going to enjoy it.
RFK Jr.'s Candidacy, Lawfare Against Opponents, and the Democratic Party's Shift Away from Voters
RFK Jr. Second part. At the Republican midterm convention in April
RFK Jr.: 2023, I ran for president, hoping to summons my party back, to its bedrock values. The Democratic Party had lost faith in American voters and utterly, ironically, lost faith in American democracy. They were convinced that they would lose the ballot box. They couldn't win. And so they unveiled a lawfare strategy to prevent an election from occurring. They sued every candidate who dared to run against Joe Biden and then attempted to remove us all from the ballot. A lot of you think that the law was just against Donald Trump. It was mainly against him, but they sued Dean Phillips, they sued Marian Williamson, they sued Cornell west, they sued Donald Trump 50 times in 38 states to remove them from the ballot. Ah. And they sued me in 12 states to remove me from ballots where I had legally qualified. And then, this is almost comical, after I endorsed President Trump and I tried to remove myself from the ballot so, so that he could have my votes, they sued me to keep me on the ballot. I'm not joking. Oh, here was the Democratic Party. That, in my youth, the biggest issue that we had that my father and my uncle fought for was voting rights, and particularly in the Southern states, to guarantee and every American had a right to cast a ballot. And here's that same party 60 years later, using all of its ingenuity and all of its power to make sure that Americans could not vote for the candidates that they wanted to vote for. They excluded me from the debates. They canceled the primaries. The Democratic Party changed the rules to make sure I could not win. And neither could the other people who were running as Democrats, no matter how many votes we got. And for the first time in history, they canceled their own convention. No voter ever cast a primary ballot for Kamala Harris. No elected delegate was ever consulted. A, party of no kings simply anointed a queen, Hand picked by secretive party elites who nobody even knows who they were. They're just faceless guys with lanyards. We're calling all the shots from the upper decks of that convention center. And nobody can see their faces any more than you can see the face of the people up there.
RFK Jr.'s Meeting with Trump Reveals a Different Leader Than Media Portrayals
But that's who was making the decision. And then they canceled the convention and they held a coronation the day that President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania. Within three hours of his shooting, he called me and asked me for a meeting. And during the series of talks that followed, I realized that everything that I heard about President Trump and everything I believed about him from the mainstream media was a lie. Everything. I discovered, I discovered a self effacing man of superior intelligence, of empathy and compassion, with, an encyclopedic grasp of the issues and within molecular details. And most of all, a, near reckless courage to challenge vested interests and official orthodoxies. I found a man who cared deeply about transparency in government, who believed in protecting free speech more than anything and the entire United States Constitution. We talked about lowering drug prices, supporting farmers and ranchers, standing up for working Americans, restoring law and order and protecting public safety and security and national safety as well. We talked about ending official corporate influence, unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies, and restoring gold standard science and public trust.
Discussions on Health, Chronic Disease, and the Democratic Party's Values Finding a New Home
We talked about ending fraud, waste and abuse. And most importantly to me, we talked about ending the chronic disease epidemic and restoring the health of our children. President Trump told me that he wanted safe food available to all Americans. He wanted to end chronic disease, he wanted to restore our kids health. He found it unacceptable that this country pays two to three times what every developing nation in the world pays. And yet we have the sickest children in the history of the world. World.
RFK Jr.: We have the highest chronic disease burden ever recorded. These conversations changed the course of my campaign and my life. I realized that many of the foundational values of, the Democratic Party have found a new home. And it was called the Republican Party, Sam.
Kamala Harris's Refusal to Meet RFK Jr. and His Subsequent Endorsement of Trump
Now, out of a sense of fairness, after my conversation with President Trump, I tried to have the same conversation with Kamala Harris. You think she would agree to meet with me? Did she even pick up the telephone? No. So on August 23, 2024, I suspended my campaign and I endorsed President Trump.
Charlie Kirk's Role in Facilitating the Meeting Between RFK Jr. and President Trump
Later that day, on stage at the Turning Point rally in Arizona, I met President Trump. And that moment would never have happened without my friend Charlie Kirk.
RFK Jr. and Trump's Promise to Make America Healthy Again and Trump's Kept Promises
Charlie played a critical and indispensable role at bringing me and President Trump together. In fact, it was something that he was trying to do in do for almost a year. Last year, my campaign, and today on the first anniversary of his assassination. I can't stand Here without thinking about him. Charlie believed that people from all different political traditions could find common ground in their love of country. That we were in this age of algorithms driving us all apart and creating this terrible, destructive polarization. The only way that we are going to rescue our country is if we started talking to each other and having congenial conversations. And he helped build the bridge that President Trump and I walked across that day. And I like to believe that Charlie is looking down on all of us now and seeing the seeds that he planted. That afternoon, President Trump and I stood together in front of thousands of Americans. We shook hands, and we made a promise to the American people together. We promised to make America healthy again. Some of my, some of my Democratic friends told me that I was a fool for trusting President Trump. And so I want to make the record clear right now. President Trump has kept every single promise that he made to me, without exception.
Progress in Health Metrics Under Trump Administration and Restored American Leadership
And we have kept our promise to the American people. Today, two years into this administration, Americans are eating more real food. Real food sales real were up 8% in 2025. Americans are eating less processed food since President Trump took office. Obesity is down by 7% after 40 years of increasing. And this is best of all. Preliminary data that I received two days ago from CDC indicates that we have now reversed a 30 year decline in longevity. President Trump has ended nine wars. He's restored competency to our government. He's restored public faith. He's restored America's leadership across the globe. And I am so grateful to God for giving our country a leader like this.
RFK Jr.'s Gratitude for Inclusion in Trump Administration's Revolution to Restore America
And I'm grateful to President Trump, for including me in his administration and giving me a place in this extraordinary revolution that is happening in our country, where we're going to restore American democracy and restore the America that my uncle and father believed in. The exemplary nation respected and emulated across the globe. We are making America healthy again. it's up to you now. We need to elect a Republican Congress to keep this momentum going.
Reflections on RFK Jr.'s Remarkable Speech and His Unlikely Alliance with the Republican Party
Let's go out and do that. God bless you. God bless America. Thank you all very much.
Sandy Rios: All right, so that was the end of that remarkable speech. And I know you could probably figure out now why the, reasons why I wanted you to hear it, Bruce. I have some closing remarks, but I thought, you know, you might. That's the first time you've heard it, right? It is, yeah. So what did you think? Just tell me what you thought. What stood out?
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Well, I think it's, it's almost like watching a surreal moment. I mean, you think of the Kennedys, and you just think Democratic Party. I mean, they're one and the same.
Genuine Conversion or Political Shift? Analyzing RFK Jr.'s Move and Charlie Kirk's Influence
And RFK was a Democrat. RFK Jr. Was a Democrat for years. And you think about what it must have taken to be proved to him to make him switch parties. And I think he laid it all out there, especially the COVID things. And I am still spellbound when I see him up there speaking as a Republican, but I believe him. I think it's absolutely genuine. I don't think this was like he got mad at the Democrats for not making him a, the candidate, and so he turned around on them. I don't see it as that at all.
Sandy Rios: No, I don't either. And the thing that stands out to me, Bruce, is. Well, a few things. He's always been staunchly pro choice, and that was one of the hindrances to wanting him to be Secretary of Health and Human Services. But I have it on good authority that he's been shifting his position. Now, I can't declare to you that he's suddenly pro life, but he certainly altered. He's altered his hardline position on that in some way. And then I heard him speak a, few. I don't know, several months ago, maybe a year ago, where in. As part of his statement, he said that God reveals himself to us through nature. And I thought, wow, that's Romans 1. Listen to him. And then in this speech, he talks about the reason he was connected with Donald Trump was his good friend, Charlie Kirk. Now friends, my friends listening. Charlie was an evangelist. Charlie, I can't even imagine him spending. What caused him to start spending time with RFK JR. How did that happen?
The Role of Charlie Kirk in RFK Jr.'s Spiritual and Political Journey
But don't you know that RFK Jr. Heard the gospel, heard the big picture, the way Charlie was able to explain how it all connects together. And, RFK Jr. And his family are staunch Catholics. so I know they have a. I don't know about him personally. I'm just telling a broad stroke. They're in general, they're Catholics, and they have a knowledge of God and a respect for God. Most Catholics do. But whether he understood the things he's saying now before Charlie, I kind of think not. I think that he's, He. I just.
Charlie Kirk's Enduring Influence and God's Work in RFK Jr.'s Life and Politics
I'm not saying he became a Christian, I don't know. But he is certainly talking about God, mentioning God, thanking God, grateful to God for leadership like President Trump. I just think that's extraordinary. And I see the hand of Charlie Kirk on that. and so I think that's a Good way to. And also just Don. Don Jr. In his speech, at the Republican midterm convention, talked about Charlie Kirk and his faith. And, you know, Don Jr. Took on the language, too. Remember, that last convention was like a, It was almost like a church service, the worship. And Bruce and I listened to that over and over again. Charlie's influence is just. I'm sure that he's had influence in ways we can't even imagine.
Encouragement for the Election Amidst Uncertainties, Trusting in God's Plan
And isn't it something how God used him in his short life? And so, when I heard JFK, RFK Jr. S, speech, I felt encouraged about this election. And I don't know that, good men are going to win. I don't know that for a fact. I don't know that people who honor God are going to win. And I don't know if we can overcome the cheating. I'm not sure we can. but with God, all things are possible. And he is certainly at work right now in our lives and in our country. So we'll just,
Preborn Ministry's Impact on Women's Lives and Encouragement to Support Their Life-Saving Work
I'll leave it with that. I, want to thank you for listening. And I want to remind you that preborn is our sponsor, and they're in the business of, you know, helping women come to thinking about how God thinks that life is precious and should not be taken by anybody unless it's, you know, not innocent life, that's for sure. And so they have great success showing women the, ultrasounds of their babies in utero. And when the women see it. I know when I saw the ultrasound of my son, I just. I flipped out. I could see it was a boy, and I just. I was thrilled beyond measure. It was real. He was in my. My abdomen, you know, my stomach, my uterus, really. And, I was just thrilled. It has a tremendous effect. And that's how preborn changes women's lives. It cost 20, $28 for one ultrasound. Just go to Preborn.com Sandy and make your most generous donation. Preborn.com Sandy and Honey, thank you for joining me today.
Bruce (Sandy Rios' husband): Thank you for having me.
Sandy Rios: I always enjoy having you. And, thank you all for listening to today's edition of Sandy Rios, 24. It.
