What is the source of America's greatness? Alexis de Tocqueville, a 19th century French political thinker and philosopher, had this exact same question.
On the heels of the French Revolution, he came to America in 1831 to investigate America's ascendency. In doing so, he found that America's greatness did not lie in her economic system. It did not lie in her banking system. Nor did it lie in her educational system.
He found that America's pulpits, aflamed with righteousness, was the source of America's greatness. He opined that America is great because she is good, but when America ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.
Let us pray for restoration of the flame of righteousness in our pulpits.
What would it take for you to compromise your principles?
Recently I heard a statement that went like this. “I don’t think principles matter if you can’t get elected.” Principles form the core of who you are; principles form the foundation of a civil society.
George Washington in his farewell address identified religion and morality as indispensable supports. “In vain would that man claim attribute to patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness”, George Washington said.
It makes me think of a scripture; “What would it profit a man to gain the whole world yet lose his soul?” What would it profit a candidate to gain an election but lose his principles?
“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.” John 15:10 (NASB95).

During the upper room discourse Jesus explained to His disciples that keeping His commandments flows from the heart of the one who loves Him. Then he added,
These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11.
Fullness of joy is contained within in our obedience to Christ. Joy, unlike happiness, is an internal disposition regardless of what may be swirling around us externally. Maximum joy is the by-product of obedience to Christ.
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word.” John 17:20 (NASB95).

During a portion of what is widely regarded as Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer, the Apostle John records the LORD praying not only for His disciples present with Him during the upper room discourse, but also for those who would become followers of His in the future. John 17:20.
Brothers and sisters, that includes you and me. As we face the various trials and the darkness of our day, it is encouraging to know that Jesus prayed for us. And that He currently intercedes for us. Romans 8:34. We are not alone. Be strong, in our LORD the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10.

President Trump sued CBS for $20 billion for heavily editing Kamala Harris’s “60 Minutes” interview during the 2024 election cycle. CBS’ parent company, Paramount, is preparing to settle the lawsuit… i.e. pay Mr. Trump.
CBS News President Wendy McMahon has announced that she is resigning over disagreements with Paramount. The timing is striking considering the current settlement discussions in this high dollar lawsuit.
McMahon became CBS President in August 2023. She’s now exiting the position. It remains to be seen whether her departure signals a new direction for the network.

The Biden administration resurrected an unconstitutional Clinton-era regulation for broadcasters with an LGBTQIAP+ twist.
The regulation subjected broadcasters like AFR to a regime promulgated to compel us to capitulate to LGBT+ approved employment practices.
Of course, we sued Biden’s FCC asserting our constitutionally protected First Amendment right to operate this ministry consistent with the teachings of Scripture upon which our organizational Statement of Faith is founded.
The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in our favor, rebuking Biden’s FCC for attempting to trample our constitutional rights. The Trump administration has also said that it agrees with our position on the matter.

FBI Director Kash Patel indicated that further accountability could be imminent for the FBI principals who perpetrated the Russia-gate hoax on the FISA Court and on the American people.
Director Patel said a “wave of transparency” was forthcoming in an effort to restore public trust in the FBI. According to Kash Patel, people like James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Andrew McCabe, James Baker and others, who manufactured the “Crossfire Hurricane,”
Lied to a federal court and to the American people to rig a presidential election using tax payer dollars to fund this illegal operation. That’s what broke the FBI.

The Trump administration has recently announced trade deals of various types with the UK, China, and Qatar. This all follows the stance President Trump took, in an America First commitment, on tariffs.
The White House has also announced that it is meeting with a host of other nations concerning trade.
One thing is undeniable. For at least the previous half-century, American leadership has seemed content with allowing the American Rust Belt phenomena. It’s heartening to see President Trump working to deliver on his campaign promise to put the American people first.

In Paul’s Epistle to the Colossians he addresses a church comprised of people who’d been saved in a pagan 1st century Roman culture. He explains to them the vigorous necessity of putting off the old man and putting on the new man.
He then directs them to the ultimate object of their renewal, their sanctification. It is critically important that we Believers remember, as we walk with our LORD in the sanctification process and face various challenges, that we are being made more and more like Jesus.

Mordecai is introduced to us in scripture as a Benjamite descendant of Kish who adopts and raises Hadassah after her parents died. He is faithful to God throughout his life and appeals to Queen Hadassah when wicked Haman initiates an Old Testament holocaust plan to annihilate the entire Jewish population within the Persian empire.
God sovereignly intervenes to deliver His people, working through Mordecai, Hadassah, and the Persian King. What often goes unnoticed is that through his faithfulness to God, Mordecai rose to become second in command over the entire Persian empire. Mordecai was to Persia what Daniel was to Babylon.

In spite of Dr. Fraudci perjurious testimony to the contrary, President Trump signed an executive order banning federal funding for gain-of-function research. The order also pauses certain domestic research involving infectious pathogens and toxins until safer, more transparent policy is developed.
It aims to reduce the risk of lab-related incidents, like those associated with the Schmovid pandemic, but it doesn’t hinder U.S. innovation in biotechnology.
But, as we’ve seen, executive orders are no way to establish enduring government policies. In order to make this order stick beyond the current Trump administration, Congress must get off it is duff and codify the order.

Upon taking office, President issued an executive order to ensure the United States military remains the most potent fighting force in the world. The Defense Department implemented the President’s order explaining,
The medical, surgical, and mental health constraints on individuals who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms with, gender dysphoria are incompatible with the high mental and physical standard necessary for military service.
A lawsuit was filed to halt it, but the Supreme Court has now ruled that the President may proceed with implementing his vision for maximal U.S. military readiness.

In this information age, mankind is more connected than we’ve ever been in human history. However, some studies show that many feel more lonely and isolated than ever.
To address that conundrum, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg has a solution. He says, America’s loneliness problem can be cured by rolling out increasingly personalized AI assistants. That’s right, Zuckerberg says AI “friends” are the cure.
This is foolishness. God made mankind to be socially connected. There is no substitute for real, flesh and blood relationships with people.
Fake digital “friends” is the problem, not the solution.

The prophet Amos confronted Israel for ceremonial worship that was not reflected in their hearts or lifestyles. God said to them, “I reject your festivals. Take away from Me the noise of your songs.” Amos 5:21, 23.
Just because we offer something as “worship” doesn’t mean that God accepts it. He is looking for worship that emanates from hearts of contrition. Circumcision of the heart is our LORD’s desire.
We must strive to be a people who lift up holy hands in worshipful melody before the LORD that accurately reflects our heart conditions, demonstrable in how we live.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hanna Dugan was arrested on two federal criminal charges due to her escorting an illegal immigrant, who appeared before her on a criminal assault charge, and his attorney out of her courtroom through the jury room door to help avert his arrest by ICE according an FBI affidavit filed in court.
The immigrant illegally re-entered the United States after being previously deported in 2013.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has now also stepped in to suspend Judge Dugan from the bench in light of her pending federal criminal charges.

Harvard University has admitted the ugly truth: the regressive long march through its faculty and administration has borne poisonous fruit in the form of blazing anti-Semitism and the overall ruin of its campus climate and curricula.
The Ivy League school’s own report on the Tentifada that sprang up on its campus supporting Hamas following October 7th showed a decades long effort to drive Jewish students out of student life at the university.
The process was well underway before October 7th and played an outsized role “in the politicization and radicalization of academia and its intellectual and reputational decline.”

Meta AI is using the personas of celebrities like John Cena, Kristen Bell, and Judi Dench to act out sick fantasy chats with users regardless of age, according to a bombshell report from the The Wall Street Journal.
According to the report, Meta’s AI powered “chatbots” will engage in “graphic talk with users, even children, with the voices of Disney characters and celebrities.”
The report further explained that Meta promised the celebrities, who were paid millions for the use of their voices and likenesses, that they wouldn’t be used in sexual contexts. Nevertheless, The Wall Street Journal’s investigation showed otherwise.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed during a cabinet meeting that Mr. Biden’s State Department kept dozens of dossiers on the social media posts of American citizens who were referred to as “vectors of disinformation.”
Secretary Rubio went on the say, “We had an office in the Department of State whose job it was to censor Americans.”
The Biden Administration used the potency of the tax payer funded federal government to spy on American citizens. Thankfully, the dark days of the Biden years are over. But the American people must remain vigilant going forward to hold all public servants accountable to us.

Abundant resources present temptations commensurate with replete supply. God spoke through the prophet Hosea to rebuke Israel for using it’s material wealth to compound idolatry in the nation.
Good stewardship of abundance requires godly character, commitment and devotion. Without it, you'll have a person amply supplied to pursue all manner of wickedness. It is a wonderful thing to have abundant resources dedicated to fulfill God’s purposes.
Abundant resources, however, in the hands of the ungodly, creates weapons of mass destruction.

Apostle Paul penned these words while instructing Believers how to navigate anxiety. Much of what befalls us in terms mental or emotional distress usually stems from us, at some point, believing a lie.
That’s why the Apostle’s words here are so vital. As Believers, we have the unique ability to set our minds and emotions and not be set by them.
The LORD’s mental health prescription is to set our minds on what’s true. Feast on what’s true.
