University of Kansas Professor Phil Lowcock was placed on leave after video surfaced of him saying to his class that men who won’t vote for a female president should be shot.
There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president. We could line all those guys up and shoot them… Did I say that? Scratch that from the recording. I don’t want the deans hearing that.
Lowcock has now left the university.

The FBI has arrested Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, a 27 year-old Afghan national who entered the U.S. on September 9, 2021 on a Special Immigrant Visa days after the Harris-Biden disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. When arrested, Tawhedi was on “Immigrant Parole Status.”
He was charged with conspiring, along with a minor, to conduct a large scale election day terrorist attack on behalf of ISIS.
The DOJ has recovered video from Tawhedi’s smart devices in which he read text to two children describing the rewards a martyr receives in the afterlife.
Border security is not an option, it’s necessary.

After 12 long years, Jack Phillips has finally defeated the LBGTQ+ legal harassment he’s endured.
Jack Phillips, Christian owner of the Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado, was sued in 2012 after declining the invitation to design a customized cake celebrating a homosexual union because he sought to operate his business consistently with his Christian conviction.
He was sued again, after being vindicated by the Supreme Court in the initial case, for declining to make custom cake for a transgender celebration.
The Colorado Supreme Court has dismissed the second lawsuit. Jack stood firm and has finally prevailed.

Barack Obama stopped at the Harris campaign offices in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. While doing do, he was recorded lambasting “black men” for not supporting Kamala Harris, describing it as a “betrayal" and attributing it to misogyny.
He said,
Part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives or other reasons for that…
Perhaps, Mr. Obama, some of us black men are smart enough to know Kamala’s policies are disastrous? Could that be it… maybe?

During the upper room discourse Jesus explained to His disciples that keeping His commandments flows from the heart of the one who loves Him. Then he added,
These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11.
Fullness of joy is contained within in our obedience to Christ. Joy, unlike happiness, is an internal disposition regardless of what may be swirling around us externally. Maximum joy is the by-product of obedience to Christ.

Arizona State University Professor Owen Anderson has taught “Introduction to Christianity” and the school on and off for 24 years.
Now, his colleagues have objected to his instruction because… get this… they don’t believe the class should be taught from a Christian perspective.
Objections to Professor Anderson’s course include screeds like,
The syllabus reflects a Christian way of teaching Christianity. The course doesn’t adequately provide the kinds of critical, reflective, disciplinary skills students need to have in order to study religious traditions.
What a scandal! Christianity, taught by a Christian… this mustn’t be!

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has called for more “media literacy” in what she describes as a need to “rein in” the media. She said this was necessary to prevent them from spreading “disinformation and misinformation.”
Interesting, the term “disinformation” (dezinformatsiya) was used by Josef Stalin when he used his goons to execute his prerogatives in communist Russia.
Who decides what is disinformation AOC? You? The government? If the government decides what is true and what is false, perhaps the government will use the term “disinformation” to crush debate, crush dissent, and control the masses… just like Stalin.

John Kerry participated in a World Economic Forum panel on Green Energy Investing and Sustainable Development. While doing so, he took the opportunity to assail our 1st Amendment. He argued that our pesky 1st Amendment allows the dissemination of what he called “disinformation.”
He specifically said,
…our First Amendment stands as a major block to be able to just, you know, hammer it [disinformation] out of existence.
Nothing like an almost U.S. President, former U.S. Senator, and Harris-Biden administration climate envoy trash our constitution abroad. Spoken like a true totalitarian.

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provided Representative Tony Gonzales data for illegal aliens with criminal convictions. The data, as of July 2024, is shocking and its broken down by those in detention and those who aren’t—known as the non-detained docket.
Among the non-detained, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges. Those include 62,231 convicted of assault, 14,301 convicted of burglary, 56,533 with drug convictions and 13,099 convicted of homicide. An additional 2,521 have kidnapping convictions and 15,811 have sexual assault convictions.

During a portion of what is widely regarded as Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer, the Apostle John records the LORD praying not only for His disciples present with Him during the upper room discourse, but also for those who would become followers of His in the future. John 17:20.
Brothers and sisters, that includes you and me. As we face the various trials and the darkness of our day, it is encouraging to know that Jesus prayed for us. And that He currently intercedes for us. Romans 8:34. We are not alone. Be strong, in our LORD the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10.

Leftist billionaire and Democrat mega-donor George Soros has been leaning on the Democrat-controlled Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to fast track his group’s acquisition of over 200 radio stations in over 40 markets.
The FCC reportedly adopted an order to approve the purchase, meaning that in a matter of days, Soros could take control of communications to over 165 million Americans with the help of unvetted foreign investors whom Democrats have spared from the FCC’s customary national security review process.
This FCC move would be unprecedented.

The first Cabinet meeting in eleven months was hosted at the White House and remarkably, Jill Biden sat at the head of the table. Jill Biden was not elected by the American people, she has no Security Clearance, she’s not even a government employee, yet she seemed to conduct the Cabinet Meeting.
Frankly, I’m not sure what is more troubling: that this was the first Cabinet Meeting in almost a year or that Jill Biden was leading it.
This furthers evinces the notion that the federal governmental rulers have not been elected and are not accountable to the American people.

Public records prove that Paul Pelosi, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, sold over $500,000 to $1 million worth of Visa stock just before the Department of Justice announced antitrust charges against the company.
The transaction occurred less than three months before the announcement of the federal lawsuit. Visa’s stock value dropped 5.5% after the federal charges were announced.
It could be that Paul Pelosi is just a shrewd investor who moved his money out with impeccable timing or he’s taking advantage of inside governmental information to enrich himself. Martha Stewart may want a word with Mr. Pelosi.

A federal judge has ruled an Indiana prison must provide transgender surgery to an inmate convicted of killing a baby.
Jonathan Richardson, a 42 year old man who now identifies himself as a woman, was convicted in 2001 for fatally strangling his 11 month old step-daughter. He’s currently serving a 55 year prison sentence.
The ACLU sued, demanding Indiana taxpayers pay for his transgender genital surgery.
District Court Judge Richard Young ruled that it was “cruel and unusual punishment” for the state to deprive Richardson of this surgery. Indiana’s Attorney General will appeal the decision.

Mordecai is introduced to us in scripture as a Benjamite descendant of Kish who adopts and raises Hadassah after her parents died. He is faithful to God throughout his life and appeals to Queen Hadassah when wicked Haman initiates an Old Testament holocaust plan to annihilate the entire Jewish population within the Persian empire.
God sovereignly intervenes to deliver His people, working through Mordecai, Hadassah, and the Persian King. What often goes unnoticed is that through his faithfulness to God, Mordecai rose to become second in command over the entire Persian empire. Mordecai was to Persia what Daniel was to Babylon.

Newly published information from Lifeway Research shows 77% of self-identified Christians in dozens of states think it’s a sin to lend money to someone who can’t afford to pay it back. Still, few say payday loans are immoral and one in six Christians have admitted to taking out a high-interest payday loan.
The federal government’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says the typical two-week payday loan charges the equivalent of a 400% interest rate.
These “sharks” prey on the poor, elderly, and most vulnerable in society.
Sound the alarm and make sure your family, church, and neighborhood steer clear of this vermin.

Esther, a young girl became Queen of the Persian Empire when Israel was subject to Persian rule. A wicked man named Haman tried to get the King to exterminate all Jews. David’s battle with Goliath is an epic drama where the little boy stands in God’s power to conquer the Philistine giant.
David didn’t awaken that morning expecting to slay a giant. He didn’t stroll in with an entourage after a rugged mountain range training camp like Rocky in Rocky IV. He was just a regular kid bringing his brothers’ lunch. But fully confident in God’s immeasurable power, though he saw Goliath, David never acknowledged him as a giant, saying, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine who dares defy the Lord of hosts?”
When regular people are fully persuaded, fully confident in God’s power, giant’s fall.
“Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for the reason for the hope that is in you.”
Many who oppose Christianity target their hostility on our foundation, the Bible. They say it is unreliable because Genesis one and Genesis two are contradictory accounts of the creation story.
In actuality, the two chapters are complimentary and not contradictory.
When Jesus was asked about marriage, He quoted from both chapters one and two, saying that He made them both to be male and female in the beginning. "And for this cause shall a man leave his mother and father and cleave unto his wife."
Genesis one is an overview of the creation story and Genesis two is an up close examination of day six. If Jesus relies on them both, so can we.
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

What is the proper role of government?
Romans chapter 13 outlines government's function, and it is basically this: to restrain or punish wickedness and to reward righteousness.
Government was never intended to be our savior. Government is our servant.
As we focus on our civil occupations and our civic engagement responsibilities, let us never forget that government is not our God. We don't put our trust in it. We put our trust in our Christ.
As a result, what we want is a government that stays out of our way and leaves room for our church to do our business of fulfilling the great commission.
