The “Medicare for All” plan pushed by Senator Bernie Sanders and endorsed by a host of Democratic congressional and presidential hopefuls would increase government health care spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years, according to a study released by George Mason University.

In order to pay for this every American citizen would have to, at a minimum, double what they’re already paying in federal income taxes.

But let’s be frank here, the George Mason University researches admitted $32.6 trillion was a conservative number.  The actual price tag would be much higher

Gross domestic product (GDP) is a monetary measure of the market value of all final goods and services produced in a time period.

The oft-quoted refrain from the Obama administration was that 2% GDP growth was the “new normal” for the American economy and that we should just get used to it.

Well… that was flat wrong!

The U.S. economy exploded in the second quarter of 2018, with the GDP climbing 4.1% -- nearly doubling the 2.2% 1st quarter growth.

Wage increases, however, would put an exclamation point on this economic resurgence!

Carol Hafner, a Democrat, is running for an Alaska U.S. House seat… but there are a few problems.

She doesn’t live in the state, has never even visited the state, and she has no plans to go the state to campaign in person.

In a statement to the Associated Press Hafner said, “Don’t lock me out because I’m not a homeboy… You ought to be thankful that I care enough and I’m interested enough and passionate enough to want to make things better.”

Something tells me the Alaskan people won’t take too kindly to the Hafner attitude.

In an amazing development President Donald Trump and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker have announced the United States and the E.U. have reached a deal to work toward zero tariffs.

The deal includes the E.U. importing more liquefied natural gas from the U.S., more soybeans from the U.S., and lower industrial tariffs.

So far, it seems President Trump is succeeding by doing things recent past Presidents wouldn’t even try.

Don’t look now but the E.U. just blinked on tariffs.

We’ll have to see what happens next?

Thanks to faster economic growth and a supportive atmosphere for scientific and technological innovation, the U.S. dethroned Hong Kong to retake first place as the world’s most competitive economy according to annual rankings by the Switzerland-based IMD World Competitiveness Center.

The renewed top ranking aligns with the positive U.S. growth narrative over the past year.

Venezuela is dead last in the world.

The U.S. was followed in the rankings by Hong Kong, Singapore, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

But the United States is back where we belong, at number one.  I like it.

During a Tedx Talk at the University of Wurzburg in Germany, Professor Mirjam Heine argued that “pedophilia is a natural sexual orientation, just like heterosexuality.”

This coincides with an effort by pedophiles to rebrand themselves as “Minor Attracted Persons” and secure their place among the LGBTQ identifications.

On the heels of the same-sex marriage achievements and the current transgenderism momentum, pedophile groups are arguing that their sexual orientation should also be recognized and granted rights.

Ministries like AFA warned about this for years.  We’re here now.

Should Republicans win majorities in the midterm elections Congressman Jim Jordan, of the House Freedom Caucus, has announced his bid for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

Representative Jordan is a tried and true Conservative.  Not one of these guys who campaigns one way but morphs into someone else once they get to D.C.

As Speaker, Congressman Jordan will have the authority to appoint committee chairman and he will control what legislation comes to the floor for consideration.

The nation will benefit from having Jordan as Speaker.

A new bio-pic on Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life and legal career titled “On the Basis of Sex” is set to be released on Christmas Day.

However a huge factual error revealed in the trailer encapsulates Ginsburg’s judicial philosophy.

Her character stands before a male judge who says “the word ‘woman’ does not appear in the U.S. Constitution.”

Ginsburg responds: “Nor does the word ‘freedom’ your honor.”

Well, “freedom” is smack dab in the middle of the 1st Amendment.

Much like her judicial career, her movie’s writers find the actual verbiage of the Constitution… irrelevant.

As minimum wage levels approach or surpass $15 nationwide, restaurant customers expecting to be greeted by a smiling face will instead be welcomed by a glowing LED screen.

As of 2020, self-service ordering kiosks will be implemented at all U.S. McDonald’s locations.

Politicians have used the plight of the poor and low skilled to push for legislatively mandated minimum wage increases.  The economic reality is that these are the very people hurt most by these policies because it results in their unemployment.

The Counseling and Mental Health Center at the University of Texas at Austin has decided that masculinity must be treated as if it were a mental health crisis.

Their program is predicated on a critique of so-called “restrictive masculinity.”  Men, the program argues, suffer when they are told to “act like a man” or when they are encouraged to fulfill traditional gender roles, such as being “successful” or being “the breadwinner.”  They go so far to say this is dangerous for men.

Masculinity poses a mental health crises but gender dysphoria is normal… okay then.

In an interview with the far left outfit “Democracy Now” Democrat candidate for New York’s 14th District congressional seat and soon to be Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, lamented the fact people are disappointed when candidates like her don’t have fully formed opinions or otherwise understand the issues they discuss publicly.

She said this after being unable to articulate a cogent position on middle east policy concerning Israel.

It would almost be funny if she wasn’t headed to Washington D.C. to deliberate and vote on pretty important issues like the federal budget… and stuff like that.

Newly elected San Francisco Mayor London Breed stated in her first interview since taking office that things have become so deplorable in the city that there is “more feces on the sidewalks than” she’d “ever seen growing up. We aren’t just talking about from dogs—we’re talking about from humans.”

A 153 block stretch of downtown San Fran revealed trash on every block, 100 needles, and more than 300 piles of feces along the 20 mile stretch of streets and sidewalks.

Filthy streets: the legacy of Regressive policies.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were booted from the Red Hen restaurant in Virginia when the owner asked them to leave.

The owner said her employees were uncomfortable because Sanders worked for President Trump who supported banning transgender people from military service.

Much like the dress designers who refused to provide dresses for Melania Trump, it seems Regressives do support refusing services based on moral convictions as long as Regressivism reigns.

When families are arrested and separated after attempting to enter the U.S. illegally, 54% of likely American voters say the parents are more to blame for breaking the law, according to Rasmussen.

Only 35% believe the federal government is more to blame for enforcing the law.

This once again shows the great disconnect the talking snake media has with the American people.

The press has first amendment protections because the founders saw their function as critical to keeping our leaders accountable.  Today the mainstream media is PR for Regressivism.

Connecticut’s High School State Open Track and Field Championships for girls saw new records set in both the 100 and 200 meter runs.

The record setting winner was Terry Miller, a biological boy who identifies as transgender.

This same Miller competed on his school’s boys’ team during the winter indoor track season.

The runner up in the 100 meter race was Andraya Yearwood, also a boy who dominated this girls event last year.

The trans-agenda: destroying our culture and women’s sports.  Where are the feminists?

Ronald Reagan said freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We must never take the liberty we enjoy for granted.

But we must also never forget God’s sovereign reasoning in providing this great liberty.  He established our nation so that men should seek Him.  Let us celebrate our liberty by re-committing ourselves to the Great Commission.

The harvest is truly, truly plentiful.

In an epic rant Maxine Waters encouraged those who disagree with the Trump administration to follow, heckle, and harass them when they are seen in public.

Waters said, “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crown and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

This type of rhetoric foments violence.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz has released his sprawling 568 page report concerning the Clinton email investigation in which he reveals overwhelming evidence of rank corruption at FBI and pervasive bias against President Trump and in favor of Hillary Clinton.  She should be sporting an orange jumpsuit right now.

Inexplicably, however, the report concludes that bias did not influence the outcome of the investigation.

A two-tiered justice system with one set of rules for the powerful and another for regular people is a “no-justice” system.

The fix was in from the beginning.

The Henrico County, VA public school administrators held a ceremony called “Career and Technical Letter-of-Intent Signing Day.”

It was a celebration of students who’ve earned industry based certifications during high school who were entering the workforce upon graduation from high school.

It drew the attention of “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe who celebrated the event on social media saying, “This is the way forward.  No attempt to close the skills gap will ever succeed, until or unless we celebrate those who are willing to learn an in-demand skill.”

“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” 2 Timothy 4:3 (ESV)

Trinity Western University, a Canadian evangelical Christian school, has been denied accreditation for its law school because it has a student code of conduct that includes abstinence outside of heterosexual marriage.

The Canadian Supreme Court, in two rulings, concluded Trinity Western could be denied accreditation because their code of conduct would impede LGBT+ students from attending the law school and those who attended would be at risk of significant harm.

Canadian diversity and tolerance doesn’t include Christians.
