Discovering the Health Benefits of Ceremonial Cacao vs. Processed Chocolate
Todd Herman Guys, what if the healthiest drink you had every day tasted like chocolate? Properly prepared, ceremony grade Cacao is completely different from the processed junk chocolate. And researchers studying the Kuna people found dramatically lower rates of heart problems among those who drink cacao daily. I drink it. It is absolutely natural and it just fills your body with goodness. Modern chocolate processing destroys up to 60% of cacao's beneficial compounds. Ceremonial GR cacao preserves that. These are naturally occurring flavanols. It contains 63 times more oxidants than broccoli. And theobromine provides smoother, longer lasting energy than caffeine without the jitters.

Jeff Chamblee Welcome to a Disciples View with Todd Herman.
Reflecting on God's Creation and Experiencing Profound Peace Amidst Worldly Affairs
Todd Herman The God of the universe created the world. He didn't snap his fingers or wink his eye. The Lord spoke. God said, let there be light. And because we believe, we speak about the happenings in this world, mindful that our true home is with Jesus Christ in his kingdom. I'm Todd Herman. Welcome to a Disciples view. Man, it was a beautiful morning in North Idaho. I got up early as is, somehow just what God does to me these days. And woke up at three and felt pretty rested and got to work about four. And, man, I popped out of the truck and the sky was absolutely crystal clear. And I could see just, I could see stars I don't normally see. I mean, we have clear skies here in Idaho. but just somehow the absence of light, I don't know. And the moon was that just dramatic sliver, you know, crescent moon. Oh, and it's so weird, I found myself saying as I stepped out of the truck in this cold. And man, Lord, you have a beautiful sky this morning. Look at that moon. I'm rarely in that state, you know, but this morning, just utterly filled with gratitude and, for all he's created for us and just felt absolutely, completely, utterly at peace. Man, that's weird.
The Unbothered Peace of God Transcending Political Turmoil and Election Outcomes
The peace of God that transcends all understanding. That's real. I haven't been this unbothered by an election, since I became politically aware when I was 16. Roughly when I became politically aware since I became politically active in my early 20s. Like. Like, seriously, you know, political active. Taking my first trip through the world of talk radio back then and helping, to unseat a sitting House speaker who was a very, very corrupt man. And, It's weird. I mean, that's the best way I could put it. I. I wasn't surprised or unsurprised. And I. Where are you at with it? Enough about me. Where are you? I don't know. A lot of people who were stunned, maybe, by the scope of the loss. And this morning I woke up feeling, I, was aware of this feeling of okayness and then peace and then transcendent peace. And I even succeeded in not doing. Busy, busy, busy. How about you?
Finding Peace Through Devotion and Gratitude, Inspired by the Book of Daniel
Did you get that this morning? Not everybody gets up that early and there's rushing. But I went to a daily devotional and it was well timed and thanks to the people who put the devotional together. This is Daniel from the book of Daniel. and he's thanking God after God revealed the dreams of the king so that Daniel could save the lives of the wise men and his friend's life and, all of their lives. Because, the. That it had been declared by the other wise men. No one, no one king can figure out this dream that you've told us about, what it means. And God gave it to Daniel in a dream, a dream vision. And this is what Daniel prayed. May the name of God be praised forever and ever. For wisdom and power belong to him. The Lord giveth. This is me, not Daniel. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Why is that always in the King James? The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. It sounds better. Lord giveth. The Lord taketh away. Back to Daniel. The Lord changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings and he establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness and light dwells with him. I offer thanks and praise to you, God of my ancestors. And he continues to thank him specifically, for showing him the answer to the prayers and divining the prayers so he could tell the king. Yeah. I was just looking at a picture of my daughter.
Navigating Uncertainty and Discussing Political Commentary on Election Outcomes and Influences
Man, she's grown up into a beautiful young woman. She wasn't smiling the photo. She's at a new job, and it's that uncertain portion, you know, the first few days at a new job. And it's a corporate job, and it's her first corporate job and. And she wouldn't smile in the picture, but, man, she's grown so beautiful. And I'm really proud of her for taking this job, though. She's nervous. And how are you? Not everyone is feeling so sacrosanct. Joe, Pollack, political operative, pretty smart guy, sometimes wrote on Twitter x the massive swing among young white men away from Republicans was not because Democrats appealed to them. It was because most of the conservative podcast world poisoned them against Trump. They will blame the Iran war, but the anti Semitism began with Candace and Tucker in 2024. It must have been the influencers who got President Trump elected. It must have just. It was them. Not the mood of the country, not the messaging of the president. not the overreach and the brutality of the people who ran Joe Biden. It must have been those influencers who got the president elected. And then Mark Levin replied to that and said, Y. J.D. vance's take. He actually seems fairly sanguine in this. And you know what? To give full credit to President Trump, he seems okay. J.D. vance believes it was the Iran war. And he wrote a long and eloquent statement, probably too long to read on the air. It just wouldn't make much sense. But it's a long and eloquent statement about the pollsters getting some things wrong and really just coming down to the fact that people didn't like the Iran war. I didn't like it. I'll give you one piece of political analysis as I see it this way. And you remember, if you listen to the show regularly, you remember that I said these things earlier. I'm really not trying to. Monday morning quarterback.
Analysis of Political Decisions and Potential Deception in Leadership Regarding Major Events
I contend that President Trump got rolled again. I believe he got rolled into going into the Iran war. I know he got rolled in his first term by the people who ran Tony Fauci's office and by Fauci and Gates. I know they rolled him. I know that was a setup. The president's instincts were absolutely right. This is a flu. It's going to go away if we'll let it run its course. We don't need to do all these things. And then he made the mistake of giving the control of the country to Tony Fauci, who is a psychopath. And this time, I believe he got rolled on the Iran war both times for Good reason. The people around Fauci lied to the president and said, hey, 30 million Americans are going to die. I believe they lied to the president saying, Iran is a couple days away from having a nuclear weapon to kill us all. With discernment, it really does matter. Would I have discerned something different there? I don't know because I wasn't in the room, but I'm okay. A lot of evil people got in the office, and I'm okay. James Jimmy Tallarico is evil. If you wear Jesus Christ as a skin suit and you change his words to be perverse, you are doing great evil. And I'm okay.
Finding Peace in God's Plan Amidst Evil and Reflecting on Political Reactions
We're okay. Jesus saw all this coming, and in point of fact, it's for our good. God uses all things for his good. What the world. I mean, Joseph said it, you know, Joseph, who was, sold into slavery by his brother, said it. You intended this for evil. God has used it for good. It's right there in the Holy Bible. Now, some other people are feeling less peaceful, but in different ways. Ron Wyden, Democrat Senator, put up one word on social media subpoenas. This one is particularly, hilarious. Congressman Robert Garcia, lawyer up. Says the first illegal immigrant, to be in Congress broke the law to be here. Ed Markey. They're going to need to plant new forests of trees for all. The subpoenas will be prison oversight, dams. A lawyer up. Gavin Newsom has to custard everything. So we can't really read that. Bernie Sanders continues to pretend that he doesn't like wealth inequality. Notice that he's changed it from millionaires to billionaires because he is a multi millionaire. Ted. Lou. Hey, A.G. todd. Blanche. Just wanted to say hi. So, not everyone is relaxed. Some people are coming in and they have revenge, baby.
Exploring Divine Justice and Accountability for Actions and Cheating in Politics
Can you remind me whose providence is revenge? Whose lane is the revenge lane? Revenge is mine, saith the Lord. That has to be in King James 2. Revenge is mine, saith the Lord. If you take revenge, you are stealing ticket that if you take revenge, that's. I mean, people say that, oh, he took revenge. I'm going to take revenge right from God. Says, revenge is mine. Oh, I'm going to take it. You're going to steal from God? yeah. Congressman Garcia, lawyer Mark Hemingway writes, guy who broke the law to come to America, now wants to use the law to punish political enemies. Sounds about right. speaking of laws, this isn't technically legal. It probably should be. It's definitely fraud. In Alaska, the Democrat, Mary Paltola, she, is leading let's see. It's 78,961 votes. She's leading the, incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. She's leading him by 750 votes or so. Oh, by the way, the fake Dan Sullivan that, the Patola Cain, campaign, they, they, they whispered around and conspired to get him on the ballot. He has 2693 votes. The, race between Patola and Dan Sullivan, 48.1.48.1 for Mary Patola. The Democrats, Liar and thief. And Dan Sullivan, 48%. The, fake Dan Sullivan, 1.6%. What percentage of those people do you think thought they were voting for the real Dan Sullivan? And I'm okay. Are you? I don't like the cheating, but I'm okay because I know there's going to be justice meted out for the cheating and the Democrats are going to do some very bad things.
Reflections on Political Shifts and the Hope for Softened Family Hearts
Abdul El Salad. I didn't have time to grab this. He came out and took the mask straight off and came out and said his full name, which includes Muhammad. He said it with a deep Middle Eastern accent. he then said praise be to God in Arabic or his language. I don't know if it's Arabic, but his language. Mask off. I lied. This is what I am. I'm effectively jihadist who hates America. But, man, I'm in the Senate and I'm okay. I truly hope, and I mean this, I really, really hope that if you've lost family connections and your family won't talk to you anymore because you happen to be conservative and of course Christian far before that one would hope. I honestly hope, that this softens your family's hearts a little bit. That now they feel that they've got, you know, they took, they took revenge and that the system worked. And now the good and wonderful people are in charge and so good and wonderful things will happen. And I truly, I really do pray this brings some peace to family relationships.
Examining Election Predictions and the Sovereignty of God Over Human Systems
And on that topic, I didn't see any riots. I thought Republicans always rioted. You know what else I didn't see? There are all sorts of crazy predictions about President Trump in the midterms. There was this that ran, in the Political Liar in Chief, why Trump isn't joking about canceling midterms. Congressman said that Mo Davis, a US Air Force retired colonel, wrote on Twitter, back in, August of 25, he wrote, Trump will declare a national emergency and suspend the 2026 elections. Normally, Congress and the courts would assert their checks and balances. Authorities under the Constitution intervene. Both are now subservient to Trump. Hey, none of those things happened. You can say the system worked. And I will just remind everybody that it is God almighty who puts in places kings and rulers and magistrates and we get to be the people who look at this and say, I don't like the outcome. Praise God, the system worked. Praise God. They don't have any real power anyway. Only God has that. We'll come back on the Disciples View.

Satan's Deception and the Importance of Truth-Telling in an Age of Universal Deceit
Welcome back to Disciples View. I'm Todd Herman. this just popped, up to the day I grabbed this. I thought this was good, for after the election. Satan has disease, has deceived. Let's try that again. Hey, watch a professional radio guy. Satan has deceived one third of the angels. Imagine, what he's capable of doing with a generation that does not read the Bible. Yeah, let's work for him. We're called to be in this world and not of it. And I'm going to just. I'm man, I should probably wait for the personal note, to tell you about this because I talked a lot about me in that last segment and how I'm doing with this election and yeah, I'm going to wait on that we're called to be in the world and not of it. And part of that is to find unique ways to look at the world, I think. And one of the things that you can do in a time of universal deceit is notice that a truth telling is an act of. It's a revolutionary act in times of universal deceit. We know that. But look at the truth that comes through in parody. And the truth that shines through in parody is often a way that we see truth that we wouldn't see otherwise for looking straight at it or studying it. And sometimes we make fun of things in a way that reveal just how silly things are. And there's a couple of, pieces of audio here. And can you imagine? I want you to see if you can figure out which one of these is parody. So I'm going to play these and must start with some staging. Just listen to them as best you can and think, could this be real? You know, my radio mentor Rush Limbaugh, God rest him, he used to say that he illustrated absurdity by being absurd. I think that's a great way to put this. And parody is that. So this is candidate number one. Okay, ready? This is Scottish Prime Minister of Parliament upset that pubs have alcohol.
Speaker C I, don't want to underestimate the social value of a trip to the publisher. Pubs are amazing spaces, and let's face it, the trend towards the sale of alcohol to consume at home has not helped us.
Parody vs. Reality: Examining the Absurdity in Cultural and Political Narratives
It is linked with rising harms. But pubs are spaces designed for families. Sorry, but pubs are not spaces designed for families. Young teenagers are religious minorities like mine, and we need these shared spaces, too. M. It's hard to know what politicians can do about all this, especially as someone who doesn't drink.
Todd Herman Okay, so parody. Real Scotland. What's. What Are you voting that happened, or is that Saturday Night Live? We're going to take the alcohol out of pubs in Scotland because he doesn't drink. Okay, so this is the second soundbite. So let me set this up here. A reporter from a magazine interviews a doctor who has delivered thousands of baby girls and baby girls only.
Speaker D Now, I understand you've been working or practicing here in Redfield for 21 years. That's right. And you've delivered over 4300 babies. That's right. And they've all been girls.
Speaker E That's right. They've all been girls.
Speaker D You know, that's amazing. You know, my assistant back in NewSong York actually calculated the odds of that happening, and it was over 1 in 700 trillion
Speaker E oh, no kidding. Well, the important
Speaker F thing is, knock on wood, they're all healthy and happy. I try to stay in touch with as many as I can. They're like my family. They're my little
Speaker D girls. I mean, it's like a miracle.
The Puzzling Case of Dr. Hofferts and the Redefinition of Gender and Identity
Not one. One single boy.
Speaker F Oh, my goodness. Belize, would you send in the Carters, please?
Todd Herman And the Carters then entered the room for their appointment.
Speaker F They're doing an article on me. Can you imagine that?
Speaker G That doesn't surprise me, Doctor, Hofferts is the best.
Speaker H He delivered all seven of our daughters.
Speaker F Well, I have the results of your amniocentesis right here. And I've got some good news. Everything's fine. The baby's healthy.
Speaker H Dr. Muffords, is it a boy?
Speaker F Now, Ted, wouldn't you rather be surprised in the delivery room?
Speaker H No, doctor, I'd like to know.
Speaker F Well, no, it's a girl.
Speaker H Doctor, will this one need that operation?
Speaker F Yes, I'm afraid so.
Speaker D What operation is that, doctor?
Speaker F Well, every now and then, little girl is born with a penis and testicles, and of course, they have to be removed and reshaped.
Speaker I It's. It's quite routine. Five of
Speaker H our seven daughters have had this operation.
Todd Herman The reporter then asks a few clarifying questions.
Speaker D doctor, what percentage of the babies that you deliver need this operation?
Speaker F Oh, I'd say 48, 49, 50. 51% in that area.
Speaker J Doctor, here are the reports you wanted. Oh, thank you, Louise. Just file them.
Speaker F Louise here was one of the first babies I ever delivered. Louise had a big date last night. How'd it go?
Speaker K Same old problem.
Speaker F Well, don't worry, Louise. Mr. Wright's up there somewhere. Well, Janet, Ted, I'll be seeing you next week.
Todd Herman Once the Carters leave the room, the reporter jumps on the doctor.
Speaker L Dr. Huffords, can't you see what
Speaker D you're doing here? I mean, the 48 to 51, they're. They're not
Speaker L girls. They're little boys. You have mutilated over 2, 000 little boys. No,
Speaker M no, they weren't boys. They were little girls trapped in little boys bodies.
Speaker N You see,
Speaker F boys are bad.
Speaker O They have bad thoughts.
Speaker F Sometimes they disobey their mothers. They have to be punished. But what do their mothers know anyway?
Speaker P You're out all night with Uncle Rudy. But he's not my uncle.
Speaker Q why does she call him my uncle?
Exploring Divine Intervention and Humor Through Biblical Stories of Donkeys and Jonah
Speaker D Thank you, doctor, very much. I think I have enough material for my story. Now.
Speaker R This week in People meet girl crazy. Dr. Jacob Hoffert, the one in a trillion obstetrician whose Favorite color just has to be pink. Only in people. And say hello to Martina Navratilova's new travel companion. People celebrate people.
Todd Herman Did the, applause and music give it away. The late Phil Hartman on Saturday Night Live. Yeah, the first one was real. If you heard that, that was a Scottish member of Parliament, who is, upset. His name is Ishrad Amend Ahmed. Upset that pubs in Scotland serve alcohol and spoke about that in Parliament. What can government do? Could that have been parody? Saturday Night Live parroting the idea that a doctor would sexually mutilate a little baby because the baby's the wrong sex born in the wrong body. It's only off by a few years. I believe that God uses parody, too. Not necessarily parody, but I believe God uses things like this. I spoke earlier this week about the fact, that God has used a talking donkey to shame a prophet. And why a donkey? Because the donkey could see the angels blocking the way. No, no, this is not the way you're to go. I told you where to go. You're going in the wrong way. A donkey could see the angels. The man shouldn't have had to see the angels because God said, that's not where you're going to go. I think that's a form of humor, a form of a simple animal nose. God used a fish, which we probably think of as a whale. With Jonah, God was very clear. You are going to go prophesy to the Ninevite people. The Ninevite people were horrible and violent people. And if they took a disliking to you, they had a particularly bad way of ending your life. And so Jonah said, I'm not going. I'm going to take this ship. I'm going to get on the ship with these tradesmen and these sailors. I'm going to go to the end of the earth and you won't be able to find me God. And then the storm comes and the ship is tossing about, and this is almost, almost a presaging of Jesus in the back of the boat because Jonah knows it's him. He knows his God is angry with him. And he says to the sailors, throw me overboards so that your lives will be saved.
God's Use of Parody and the Humility of Human Wisdom vs. Divine Truth
And. And he didn't want to commit suicide. That's murder. So they threw him overboard. And look, the waters became calm, as if Jesus said, be calm. And then those sailors on that deck knelt and prayed to the God of the Bible, Jonah's God. And then, gulp. Came a fish, swallowed the Jonah for three days and spat him out on the shore of the Ninevites. God said, hey, if you're not going to do it with your brain and your human brain, I told you what to do. I'll just have a fish pick you up. And I think God is doing this in our world. I think he's showing us the absurdity of people who worship their own wisdom. In the Magnificat, Mary says, God has done a great work with his arm. He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their own hearts. He's taken rulers down from the thrones, and he's exalted those who are humble. He has scattered those who take pride in the thoughts of their own hearts. The heart meaning the human will. I will it to be that a boy is a girl. I will it to be that because I have been accepted into a country as a Muslim, I will will it to be that. I'm going to make sure all the alcohol is taken out of the pubs. And I don't drink either. He doesn't drink. I don't drink. But we're to be good citizens and good guests. Don't cause another to stumble. I believe God uses these things for us to say, do you see yourselves? Do you remember Martha radich talking to J.D. vance? And Martha Radich said, but Mr. M. Vice President. M. Mr. Vice President, I have talked to the mayors and the police chiefs, and they say it's only a few apartments that are. And J.D. vance said that fateful phrase. Martha, do you hear yourself? It's only a few apartments that have been taken over by violent or Honduran gangs. I think God is saying, do you see them? Do you see their human wisdom? Do you see their brilliance? It's not brilliant, it's not wise. It departs from my word.
The Definitional Debate of 'Woman' and Its Implications in Modern Discourse
And you should be able to know these things. Now, this last one, I'll leave it for you to figure out if it's parody, if it's real. a spelling bee contestant is told to spell woman. Lincoln,
Speaker S your word is woman.
Speaker K Well, woman. Can I have the country of origin, please?
Speaker T I.
Speaker S I don't. I don't. Probably England or Germany or something. Woman.
Speaker K can I have the definition, please?
Speaker U why don't you ask
Speaker S Judge one that, question.
Speaker K Can I have the definition of woman, please? No. Why not? I'm allowed to ask for definitions, right?
Speaker V The. The thing is, a woman. A woman is women.
Speaker S What she's trying to say is that each person gets to define for themselves what a.
Speaker W A woman is.
Speaker K So can you define it?
Speaker W No.
Todd Herman And this bigoted little Boy then asks why they won't define woman.
Speaker K Why? I just want to know the definition of
Speaker S woman. And that makes you a hateful little bigot, Lincoln?
Speaker K I don't hate anybody.
Speaker V How about we just use it in a sentence? Abortion is a woman's
Speaker X right.
Speaker S If a woman makes an accusation, we should believe all women.
Speaker V Joe Biden picked a woman as a running mate. Ketanji
Speaker S Brown Jackson is the first black woman on the Supreme
Speaker V Court. Hillary Clinton should have been the first woman president. UPenn
Speaker S swimmer Lia Thomas is a woman. I'm a woman. I'm not a woman.
Speaker K Woman. How can you use it in all those sentences if you don't know the definition?
Speaker V Listen, you intolerant little bigot. Just spell the words so we can get a girl up here to win this whole thing.
Speaker Y The definition of woman is woman.
The Absurdity of Gibberish and Creating Parody of Our Own Thoughts and Lives
M Woman. A woman. Woman.
Speaker N Are you happy?
Speaker K That doesn't make any sense.
Speaker V It's a simple word. We all know what a woman is. Just spell woman.
Speaker K Okay,
Todd Herman so the boy concedes and he spells woman.
Speaker K Woman. W O M A N Woman. Wrong.
Speaker N It's got an accident now for some reason.
Speaker Z W O M x
Speaker Y N. Now get out of here.
Speaker T Kenny, you're up next.
Speaker K Accident. Make that sound.
Todd Herman I guess you see, it's parody. that came from today, by the way. When we look at what God has done in our world and we look at some people who are just speaking the language of gibberish, it's easy to look at it as parody and paradise it to understand its truth in a different way. It becomes ever more clear. And there's something else that we should do.
Reflecting on Ministry Creation and Overcoming Self-Parody in Service to God's Word
We should look in our lives where people could look at us and create parity, parody of our thoughts. I had something, and I'll share it with you in the personal note the other day that I've really been thinking a lot about where I'm going to shoot the footage, for this entity that we're starting that's probably going to be a ministry, called the Biblical Rebellion. And I've just been agonizing in that. Should I stay here in this television studio God built for us? Should we move to another shooting location? Should I shoot more outside? And Alex, my pre producer and I, we've had lots of discussions about the camera angles and the production on this. And God just absolutely flattened me the other day at the gym. This could be such an amazing parody of myself. he just destroyed me. And it happened during a workout, a pretty vigorous workout. And I'm processing all of a sudden. Boy, what am I doing? I become a parody of myself? No, you become a parody of a Christian who has conned himself into believing God cares about something he couldn't care less about. We'll come back under, Disciples.

Post-Election Reflections: Praising God's Power and Wisdom Amidst Conservative Christian Serenity
Foreign welcome back, to Disciples View. I'm Todd Herman. I'm just scanning the news during the break and I've spoken earlier that President Trump had a pretty, mature and sanguine response. Election that's changing. we'll get to a lot more of this tomorrow. I, I just, I truly believe in a little bit of a cool off period after an election like this. And I meant what I said during the, the monologue. Daniel praised God, knowing that God holds all power and all wisdom. And he praised God when, when he revealed, the meaning of the King's dream to Daniel. The first dream which described the end of the Persian Empire or the end of, end of the, the Babylonian Empire. That's what it described. And we should be, we do well to remember that God has all the power and all the wisdom. And I'm actually seeing, and I was, I praise God. I'm not alone in this. I'm seeing a lot of conservative Christians who are okay, and that, you know, the Holy Spirit is, operates in such unique ways. When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, I don't know anybody who was okay. I saw a lot of leftists who were thrilled. And God has already judged that. And if they don't repent, I think they're going to face real judgment for the, for cheering the murder of a innocent, man who simply was speaking truth with his little kids and his wife and et cetera. And such a good servant of the Lord Charlie Kirk was.
Finding Strength in Christ and Overcoming Election Challenges as Speed Bumps
But not a lot of people are okay on that day. I don't think a lot of Christians were okay, during the 2020 election. Honestly, I wasn't. And what the Holy Spirit can do with us if we keep our eyes on Christ, and we run with endurance, the race laid out before us with our eyes firmly planted on Jesus, the election man that's a, that's a tough spot in the road. You jump over that. That was a speed bump. That's going to bring a lot of people to Christ. Do you think it won't?
Critiquing Ideological Confusion and the Left's Overreach in Political Power
I was just seeing a statement from James Jimmy Tallerico, who has confused his victory in Texas with enthusiasm for his confusions. 69 genders, 6 sexes. Mary, the mother earthly mother of Jesus only had the earthly mother, that she was, making an argument for abortion and so was God when he chose to have Mary carry the baby Jesus. All of these insane beliefs. He's now confusing enthusiasm for his insane ideas, and his spiritual capture and being an absolute heretic who wears this Jesus suit with frustration over the war and gas prices which resulted from the war. And that was the core reason that people switched votes in Texas. So the left always overreaches when they gain power. They'll do it again. I believe the subpoenas are going to fly. I believe they're going to try to destroy Elon Musk. And I believe it's going to become this sideshow. I don't think they're going to do anything for affordability because they don't care. I'm okay. And if, our eyes are on Jesus, we're okay. There's an election below our feet that was back there.
Maintaining Peace Through Faith in Christ Amidst Election Uncertainty
A trinity is far out before us, so we should be okay. And as I've said before again on the show, here's the time for us to panic. I'm going to tell you the exact time to panic. And that is when Jesus Christ in the back of the boat with us, wakes up and says, oh, my gosh, what's going on? Do something, you guys. So never.
Microsoft's Prioritization of Foreign Talent Over Loyal Employees Sparks Outrage
We'll get to the tower of babbling. In a personal note here in just a moment, this is a quick cleanup item. On October 28th of this year, Microsoft had their company wide Ask Me Anything meeting and audio from it leaked.
Speaker AA You know, we are going to be global and we are going to, support global talent movement. And, we want to bring more talent into the United States as a specific example, given the question. and, we're going to work hard to make sure that we continue to be able to do that. And then the most important thing is that we work with the individuals. Because every individual that's on a visa, or supplied for a visa, or is applying for a green card, everyone's situation is slightly different based on their current status. And we just want to recognize it's super important that we Take care of the people. there's the programs and there's kind of the broader support that we want to do, broadly. But at the end of the day each person is an individual that has an individual situation. And so if you are impacted or you're worried, definitely encourage you to work with our HR and our SELA team and we have dedicated resources to work with you specifically to help with your specific particular circumstance.
Todd Herman So context on this. Microsoft is offering a buyout of employees whose years of service plus their age adds up to 70. And the buyout is temporary, it's only available for now. And the subtext of this is if you don't take the buyout you're going to be fired and you won't get any benefits, you won't get the cash, you won't get the health care assistance, you won't get the job placement assistance. We're just going to fire you. While we bring in people from other countries, which is our priority. We want to bring people in from other countries. Our priority is to bring in non Americans to work at this America based company. It's their decision. It's obscene and it has real world results.
The Unethical Displacement of Skilled Employees for Diversity Quotas at Microsoft
I have a dear friend of mine who gave so much of his career to Microsoft, the bulk of his career, incredibly smart, servant minded man, and man, did he work for that company. It got to the point where if a contract was going to be signed and was going to go up to the CEO, if it involved Europe or Asia, it went across my friend's desk, period. Before it even went to the lawyers, before it went to Satya, the CEO, it went to my friend's desk. He got a phone call one day from his boss and he sat him down and said, hey, gonna be time to take one for the team here. We're gonna be we're gonna be switching the leadership of your team. We're bringing a woman in from Latin America. my friend read about her background. She had never once in her, in her adult life or at any time ever negotiated a single deal ever. Not once, never. She'd never read a contract in any serious sense, never negotiated contract points, didn't understand business development, certainly didn't understand the cloud business in any way, shape, matter, idea, faction or form. But she was taking over his team and they told him, look, she's Hispanic and a woman and we're making changes based upon that. That's what they told him. So you can go find another role horizontally otherwise, but your role here is ended. But we're going to ask you to train. My friend laughed and there's not enough time to train her. So she took over the team. And during the conference call, another female spoke up during the question period. She said, is it my understanding, is my understanding correct that you were a, a, public relations executive who wrote press releases, you've never negotiated a deal, is that right? Yes. And you're taking this job knowing that an experienced executive who led this team well is only being pushed out because you're a Hispanic woman? She said, yes, and I'm going to stick with that. And that lady said, well, I won't be working for you. I found another job. I'm out.
Microsoft's Diversity Policies Lead to Resignations and Questionable Leadership
And so did another guy. Small team of highly skilled people, about eight people. Two of them quit on that spot. So you understand Microsoft's priorities on this program. We thank the Lord for placing supposedly wise people on tall towers of shaking sand with our feature called the Tower of Babbling.
Jeff Chamblee You know about the biblical truth at the Tower of Babel. A, Disciples View presents the Tower of Babbling.
Speaker AB Is it a boy or a girl? It's a Day by Lindsay Harriot. This book is all about welcoming a new baby into the family and not knowing how that baby will identify when they grow up. So we're not going to be assuming their gender.
Navigating Societal Divisions and Political Resentment in Modern Discourse
Todd Herman Three sound bites in today's child babbling. That's almost always the case. Barack Hussein Obama is tired of the division in this country that he in no way started
Barack Obama division. And I don't know about you, but I am tired of being angry and I'm tired of being divided. I want friendship and neighborliness and joy and generosity. I want everybody rolling up their sleeves in the common enterprise of rebuilding America. I want everybody handing our country and our world off to our kids a little better than they are right now. That's what I want.
Todd Herman it's time for Hispanics to, punish their enemies. you know, they bring a knife, we bring a gun. Second sound bite in today's time, babbling Senator elect from Michigan, Abdul El Sayad. how do I say it? Abdul Muhammad Al Saad. He said that today has a deep seated and misplaced resentment for white people and should likely be upset with his parents.
Tim Goeglein He probably got to start two games his entire career playing whatever sport he was, and it made his life. And his parents came and cheered so hard for him. And as a kid whose parents never came right and started every game, part of me is just like, bro, I feel bad for you. Somebody Told you. better than you really are. Like, there's something about being a brown kid whose parents like, you know, no matter what you do, you're never enough. Sure. So what that means is that you never take yourself too seriously. You're like, I'm never going to be enough.
Voter Preferences Reflect Trust in American Candidates Over Those with Unknown Backgrounds
Jeff Chamblee Right.
Todd Herman He was talking about Pete Hegseth, by the way, last sound bite in today's chat, babbling. This reporter found Detroit, Michigan voters who were voting for Mike Rogers. Which,
Speaker AE one are you leaning toward? Mike Rogers. And why is that?
Speaker AF Because I know about him more than the other guy.
Speaker AE And which side are you leaning towards right now? Abdul El Sayed or Mike Rogers? Mike Rogers. And what has attracted you to Mike Rogers campaign?
Speaker AG Well, he's American. He knows what's going on here in Michigan. He's been in Michigan for years. So he has a good track record here in Michigan and in America. Actually,
Todd Herman he's an American. I'll withhold comment. And that's a wrap for today's tower babbling.
A Jewish Perspective on Jesus and Historical Context of Roman Revolts
Ben Shapiro You know, from, from a Jewish point of view, we don't believe in the divinity of Christ. What I, what do I think he was historically? I think he was a Jew who tried to lead a revolt against the Romans and got killed for his trouble. Just like a lot of other Jews at that time who were crucified for trying to lead revolts against the Roman and got killed for their trouble.
Jeff Chamblee That was the Tower of Babylon on a disciples view.
Todd Herman On a personal note today, you know, we've spent a long while trying to figure out how to crack the code for YouTube for us. And we spent a lot of money, a ah, lot of money working with the team from the Daily Wire. They had left the Daily Wire and I don't, I. They're really good people. I think the advice was way off.
Developing a Men's Ministry Focused on Identifying and Fulfilling God-Given Purpose
and look, I'd recommend them for video editing and a lot of things like that. I just think their strategic advice was way, way off. we've been doing some things in our own. We had some decent success. and I don't care about YouTube. I don't care about Alphabet. I wish we didn't have to do this. It's just a commercial reality for what we do. You know, we're advertiser supported on our podcast. Not here where we're supported through you, but on a podcast it's ad supported and they want video impressions. So that's the marketplace. YouTube owns podcasting and video, period, completely owns it. So I'm not happy about it. But we're taking A run at, something that God put on my heart. And it's a ministry for men, young, youngish men, to help them find and fulfill their eternal mission through their daily lives. And so we put a lot of thought into what's a process for this. How can you help men understand the natural gifts God's given them, the general gifts? And I'm going back into my time in corporate America. One of my things that I really got a lot of joy out of was putting people in the right places on my team. And I didn't care what your job description was before that. You know, I didn't care that you'd been a product manager. Who are you? What are your unique skills? How has God gifted you? And some of the most satisfying things that we got to do, Microsoft and other companies was take smart people who were miscast and put them into a role that was much more attuned to who they are. We got to watch them thrive and lift up our teams and make m. Me as the boss look super smart and just have a lot of success and make a lot of money for a lot of other people. So I'm leaning on that. And I'm getting down. You know, I'm looking at some curriculum. My friend Cameron has some curriculum I might license.
The Necessity of Video Presence for Ministry and the Struggle with Studio Decisions
But I'm kind of going a different direction. Spending all this time and now it's gotten down to, okay, but we have to have a media presence, and it has to be video. So, gosh, YouTube again. Oh, this bottleneck, I. Maybe it's the studio. You know, we've never gotten paid a premium. We've got a beautiful studio. God built us. You can see. If you're curious what that looks like, go to the todhermanshow.substack.com you can see it. It's truly beautiful what God built. Then I thought, wait, no, no, no, no. I should do this in a boardroom. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? I'll rent out this, podcast studio. We'll turn that into a business. I'll go and I'll do this in a boardroom. And then just yesterday, I'm doing a workout, and it's an intense workout. I wasn't looking forward to the workout. It was the fifth piece I did that day, so you'd think of it as the fifth workout.
Prioritizing God's Word and Humility Over Personal Ambition in Ministry Efforts
And God said to me, I don't care about your office. I don't care about your studio or your cameras. Your first question, Todd, is, are you applying my word, son? Have you ever thought that maybe you talk too much. Maybe you have pride in the thought of your own heart. Maybe if you started everything on what is my work, maybe then I could bless this ministry. The Biblical Rebellion after all, I gave you the idea. I was already breathless from the workout. I was breathless from the realization. So don't be surprised if you see us doing the Biblical rebellion out of the front of a 76 in Paula. Because it won't matter. In the beginning was the Word.
Living by God's Word and Spreading His Message Through Faith and Love
The Word was with God. The Word was God. Because we believe, we speak because he first loved us. We speak His Word. We walk in the path of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations until God grants us permission to speak any other May his peace wash over you. On behalf of Randy and Afar, I'm, Todd Herman.

This has been Disciples View.

Jeff Chamblee The m views and opinions expressed in this broadcast may not necessarily reflect those of the American Family association or American Family Radio.
After waking to a crystal-clear Idaho sky, Todd Herman reflects on an unexpected sense of peace in the wake of an election—and on the biblical reminder that wisdom, power, and the rise and fall of rulers ultimately belong to God. In this episode of A Disciple’s View, Herman considers how faith can steady people through political uncertainty, disagreement, and strained family relationships.
The conversation moves through election reactions, political commentary, and examples of parody that Herman says can expose the absurdities of the culture around us. He connects these reflections to biblical stories of Daniel, Johnny, and Balaam, asking listeners to recognize the limits of human wisdom—and to examine their own lives with humility.
Herman also discusses concerns about corporate hiring and immigration, then shares the personal story behind a new ministry idea, The Biblical Rebellion. As he wrestles with studios, cameras, and strategy, he arrives at a deeper question: before worrying about production, are we applying God’s Word?
