Pastor Jeff Shreve's Testimony and Reading of Psalm 100
Jeff Chamblee Welcome to Real Truth for Today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve, senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Now, here's Pastor Jeff.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Well, good Friday morning and welcome to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff here. back from Belton, Texas. I was with the, jail ministry, and Jesus ministering to inmates. that's a great ministry that's been around for 38 years. Steve Cannon is the executive director and he was so kind and gracious and we had a great dinner and, got to share my testimony and just give a challenge. So I hope things went well as far as their fundraiser goes. But, my friend Jim Bunch was very gracious in, flying me out there and flying me back. The new plane he's got. Unbelievable. That thing goes like 540 miles an hour. So we were there quickly. Well, I wanted to read to you Psalm 100. Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord himself is God. Jesus is Lord, and the Lord himself is God. It is he who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, Bless his name. The Lord is good, his loving kindness is everlasting, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Discussion on Ilhan Omar's Alleged Fraudulent Activities and Legal Troubles
The Lord sat as king at the flood. Yes, the Lord sits as king forever. Well, it's a privilege for me to welcome my good friend to the program, Rod Martin, philosopher, capitalist. And, Rod has a brand new book out, Trump's NewSong World Reorder. And it goes through lots of different things that we're going to talk about today. And I did find out this about Rod Martin, doing some investigation. He, has, to his knowledge, he has not married his sister. Rod, welcome to the program.
Rod Martin Indeed, I have not. It's helpful to not have a sister, but if I did have one, I would know that I had not married her.
Pastor Jeff Schreve So you weren't impressed with that, response by Ilhan Omar? To my knowledge, I haven't married my brother.
Rod Martin I wasn't. I mean, she's trying to play it off as sarcasm, and if you listen to the clip, you could go either way on it. I, I mean, to be fair to her, I, I don't wanna, I, don't wanna read too much into it, except. Oh, wait. Yesterday we discovered that she is operating under a false name. She was sworn in and ran for office and, and naturalized under a false name. And guess what her real last name is. Oh, wait. It's exactly the same as her brothers, whom she apparently married. So, you know, I'm sorry, this is, this is looking bad. And not only is it looking bad to me, Allen Dershowitz was on last night saying it looks bad to him, that she's probably going to get denaturalized, and deported. So, okay, if Allen Dershowitz is there, I think I'm on pretty solid ground. And that's just the beginning because there's also the fraudulent $20 million grant from USAID to her sister's fake NGO that she was on the board of, and just all these different things that start looking an awful lot like a RICO action.
Analysis of Ilhan Omar's Legal Situation and Potential Consequences, Including Denaturalization and Deportation
I, think Ilhan Omar is in a lot of trouble. And, the final nail in that coffin is the fact that the search warrant issued at all. This was issued by a District of Columbia judge. My gosh, that. Are you kidding? D.C. judges do not act against Democrats. That just doesn't happen. So this judge issued the search Warrant authorizing the FBI to raid her home at 6 in the morning. She's the first sitting member of Congress ever to be subjected to that. Of course, Donald Trump is the first former president to ever be subjected to that. So it's interesting watching all these people like Ilhan Omar, who thought that was wonderful and tweeted all these things about no one is above the law, suddenly freak out and say that this raid on Ilhan Omar is a threat to democracy. Well, no, it might be a threat to Somalia, because they may have to put up with her.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Now, Rod, would it be more fitting for her to be, put in jail for her crimes or to be deported.
Rod Martin Well, considering that she wants to take away all our freedoms and turn us into Somalia, I think she should get to go to Somalia and spend some time there to, actually ruminate on what she wants for America. I think that that would be fitting. I also think that it's a little better because if she's in prison here, she's likely to get pardoned by some future Democrat and be right back at it. we have history with that. There is a federal judge in South Florida who was impeached by a Democrat Congress and convicted and removed from office by a Democrat Congress who later got elected to the House of Representatives. And Nancy Pelosi tried to appoint him head of the House Intelligence Committee Committee. This is a guy who had been convicted of bribery. So, you know Democrats, that's just how they play.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, it's just terrible. Well, she's in serious trouble. I don't think she's going to be able to wiggle her way out of this, do you?
Rod Martin I really don't.
Alan Dershowitz's Shift in Political Stance and Critique of Modern Democratic Party
When Allen Dershowitz doesn't, I'm pretty much thinking this goose is cooked.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay, so, Rod, I played a clip from Allen Dershowitz, just. Just yesterday, where he said he hopes the Republicans win in the midterms. Ah, longtime democr Democrat. big liberal law. Ah, professor at Harvard. what do you think has changed for him where he would want Republicans to win?
Rod Martin Well, he's been very clear about what changed and by the way, just wrote a book on it. And I want to commend everybody to Allen Dershowitz's books. He's really one of the brilliant scholars of our time. Even when I disagree with him, which I frequently do, because he hasn't changed his position on anything. I mean, he's still a liberal Democrat. There's nothing about him that would comport with the Republican platform, except that he's against socialism and communism, which are synonyms. I mean, he's against totalitarian rule in this country. And that's his whole point, that he doesn't agree with the Republicans on much of anything. But, one thing, which is the Republicans don't want to annihilate Israel. And the Republican. Well, two things, I guess. The Republicans don't want to annihilate Israel. The Republicans also don't want to institute a socialist dictatorship. And when you've got a guy as serious as that, this is one of the most distinguished law professors in the history of Harvard. This is a guy who has real trial experience in high profile Cases. This is one of the intellectuals of our time, and he's saying exactly what Bill Maher is saying. I can't vote for these people anymore. These are not the Democrats I knew.
Critique of Democrat Party's Socialist Leanings and Christian Hypocrisy in Politics
Okay, that's kind of convincing. along with Elon Musk, along with a lot of people who have paid Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy, all of these people, they're still Democrats. There's nothing about them that would really comport with what you and I believe, and. Except they actually believe in the American system and the American Constitution, and they don't want it to be destroyed. They're sounding the alarm. The Democrat Party has been taken over by the socialists. They want to do what Obama said. They want to fundamentally transform America. And you will not like that America once it is transformed, I promise you.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay, so, Rod, we have, lots of people m. Seemingly lots of people that are in church that are, quote, evangelicals for Talarico or evangelicals for Adam Hamilton or evangelicals for Democrats. okay. You know, I don't want to go so far as to say if you're like that, you're probably not a Christian. I, don't know if you are or not. That's not giving me, a warm fuzzy that you are. If you're going to vote for a party of, abortion and LGBTQIA rights and all the rest. To me, it's kind of like saying you're on, Mount Carmel, and you're like, no, BAAL is the Lord. We're going to serve baal. You can't say I'm for Yahweh when you're voting for bail. So, how do you wrap your head around these people who seem to be, committed Christians, but they have a major disconnect when it comes to voting?
Biblical Parallels to Modern Political Compromise and Warning Against False Christianity
Rod Martin Well, as far as the passage just alluded to, I think they probably had much the same problem in Israel, both in the period of the Judges and in the period of the Kings, after Solomon went awry. I think you had a lot. A lot of Israelites who probably were threading that same needle. Oh, you know, I worship Yahweh, but. But, you know, we have to be tolerant of these BAAL worshipers. We. We have to understand they have a point of view, too, while they, you know, pass their children through the fires of Molech. You know, you're just. You're just too judgmental, you know, and it's the same thing. And you see in Scripture how it turns out. I mean, there's this really telling passage in. In Judges that nobody ever remembers. You know, it's very clear at the beginning of the book that the Israelites have control of Jerusalem. And then just somehow, without explanation, they don't anymore. And you can imagine, oh, we have to be tolerant with these people. And also, that girl is hot, and my son wants to marry her. And, you know, and pretty soon, you know, the Canaanites just gang up on them and kick them out. That's what's happening in America as we speak. That is exactly what you're seeing with the Talarico campaign, who is unquestionably a fake Christian. I say that because of his choice of pastor who denies the divinity and resurrection of Jesus Christ. These people are not Christians. And Scripture is very clear that if you deny the resurrection, you're out. You aren't a believer. And if the resurrection isn't true, we are the most pitiable of men. So, you know, these are not real Christians. These are people using Christianity as a skin suit. These are wolves in sheep's clothing. And a lot of the people following them honestly, just aren't believers. They just clearly aren't. They are proponents of baby murder and child castration.
Critique of 'Evangelicals for Talarico' and Comparison with Ken Paxton's Imperfect Stand
I'm sorry, that's just not compatible with Christianity. But in addition to that, you do have this. This group. I. I couldn't estimate the size, but I don't think it's all that large of just very foolish Christians who aren't thinking through what Talarico says. They're just thinking, he's a nice guy and Ken Paxton is a sinner. Well, guess what? We are all sinners. The question is, is. Is Talarico going to do his best to, to overturn the American system and castrate children and slaughter as many babies as possible? That's the issue. Ken Paxton is imperfect, but he's been a fighter for all the right things, despite his imperfections. That's about all you get in this life until Jesus comes and fixes us all. So I just don't see it. Now, I will say this. I think their numbers are overblown.
Discussion on Adam Hamilton's Heretical Beliefs and the Importance of Scriptural Clarity
And I think we saw that with evangelicals for Biden and evangelicals for Harris, which turned out to basically, be our friend Dwight McKissick and three buddies of Russell Moore. So, you know, I wouldn't read too much into it.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay, let's talk about Adam Hamilton, the founding pastor of, the Church of the Resurrection, near Kansas City. He's got a large church, nine campuses, they say 24,000 members. he's heretical in his beliefs. Not quite to the extent of James Talarico and his pastor. But, how do you view him, Rod?
Rod Martin I am. I will have to confess I haven't paid close attention to that case. But I have to tell you, we have to clean our own house. We have to be very clear about what is and is not scriptural. We've gone through an extended period where winsomeness was the only value. I note that winsome doesn't, isn't a word that appears in scripture. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be nice people. I'm saying that there's a time and place for it. Somebody told me on my Facebook wall yesterday that, you know, they just focus on the, on the, the words in red. I said, okay, you know. You mean like when Jesus talks about, about hell twice as many times as he talks about heaven? Or do you mean the, the points where he calls clear heretics sons of Belial and whitewashed tombs and vipers? Because, you know, Jesus was not Mr. Winsome.
Jesus's Approach to Rebuke and Praise, and Introduction to Rod Martin's Book
Jesus was gentle with those who needed it, and he was harsh with those who needed to be rebuked. And Christians have to have enough discernment to know when is when.
Caroline Yeah.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Amen. We're talking to Rod Martin. He is a geopolitical expert and a, philosopher, capitalist and a wonderful guy. Got great insights on things. He's got a new book out, Trump's NewSong World Reorder. We're going to talk about that when we come back from the break. You're listening to Real Truth for today. Analysis of Trump's New World Reorder: Dismantling the Deep State and Globalist Rule
Jeff Chamblee This is Real Truth for Today. Podcasts of the program are available on the podcast [email protected] now back to Pastor Jeff Schrieve.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here talking to my good friend Rod Martin. You can find out more about him rodmartin.org he sends out a, political brief. Rod, what would you call that? A geopolitical brief. You delve on a touch on a lot of subjects in there.
Rod Martin Yeah, all of that, I mean, this is called Trump's NewSong World Reorder, which, you know, you might superficially think is all about Donald Trump since his face is on the COVID and everything, but it's not fundamentally about him so much as the changes that he's bringing about to the global order we have lived under since Franklin Roosevelt, which is a little bit before most people's time. Franklin Roosevelt, of course, was president during the Great Depression and World War II. And out of the Great Depression came a domestic order that is fundamentally incompatible with, with democracy. And then out of World War II came a globalist order that honestly needed some rebalancing. So. So on the domestic front, FDR created this giant bureaucracy and it's not some just, you know, indeterminate mass of people. It's a bunch of very specific, so called independent agencies. I say so called because the Constitution doesn't allow for anything we would call an independent agency. That's simply unconstitutional. And the Supreme Court ran cover for this system, for 90 years. But, but the bottom line is when you go have an election, guess what? Democrats picked all of those bureaucrats and those bureaucrats because they aren't accountable, they aren't fireable by any elected person, they hire their own successors. So we've effectively had one party rule, when you get into the details, for 90 years. Donald Trump is upending that by reasserting the proper presidential powers of Article 2 with the help of a Supreme Court that of course he appointed a majority on. So they're actually taking the Constitution seriously again. And the net result of that, first of all, he's fired about a million federal employees. So. So we're down to the lowest federal civilian employment rate since 19 or numbers since 1966. But the second part of that is that they actually have to be accountable to an elected person. There is one elected president. There are about 5,000 political appointees. There were when Trump came in, 2.8 million civilian federal employees who are completely insulated from anybody elected. That's just, it's just grossly unconstitutional. So getting a handle on that makes Elections matter again. That's the crucial thing. You have to be able to overthrow your government peacefully every two to four, four years. That's our system. And if your vote doesn't really change things, why'd you even vote? So. So Trump is doing that at home. On the foreign front, he is just reconstructing the global order. We, we had this entire trade system and alliance system that was predicated on the devastation of World War II. We were, we're the last man standing. We were half of the, the world's economy in 1950. And so, we rebalanced trade in a way that favored our allies at the expense of ourselves. Why? So they could get back on their feet, so they wouldn't fall to communism. That made perfect sense. And we paid most of the defense bill as well. Well, guess what? The Cold War ended 35 years ago, and we didn't rebalance anything. And these are rich countries. Germany's the third largest economy in the world, for heaven's sake. Britain is the sixth. But, Germany was showing up at NATO exercises with broomsticks because they wouldn't buy enough rifles. And the British have, you know, twice as many admirals now as warships. I mean, a Boy Scout troop could take the Falkland Islands today, and the British couldn't do anything but send a strongly worded letter. It's absurd. these are allies. These aren't partners, they're dependents. They're teenagers in our basement. And Donald Trump is telling them, grow up, get out and get a job, and we'll help you, but only if you stand up. So we're seeing that reordering around the world. It is, you know, there's all this weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over it. But the truth is, what we're asking our allies to be is strong. How is that a bad thing? How is that America being mean? It's just like sending your teenager to the gym. You know, this is good for them, even if they don't want to go. And as a result of that, they'll be able to take care of their own backyards. They won't be as dependent on Washington and the whims of the American electorate. They'll also be much better partners with when we need them and when they need us. That's the key. So globally, economics, trade, defense, and making elections matter again. Here at home, Trump is just upending everything we've known. And it is brilliant. It is really tremendous. And the crucial point is, I said this isn't primarily about Donald Trump, the crucial point. Point is this is the kind of epochal change, the kind of lasting reordering that you got in 1945, assuming we win the next election or two. Once it's in cement, it's in cement. And we'll be living under this order through the end of the century. If the Lord doesn't return first.
World Leaders' Reactions to Trump and European Economic Comparison with Mississippi
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yes. Trump's NewSong World reorder is the name of the book for. Okay, so let me ask you this, Rod. behind closed doors, what are the world leaders saying about Donald Trump? I would imagine they have to hate him. If you're the teenager living in the basement and, just living off of mom and dad and they kick you out, you're probably not too happy about that.
Rod Martin Well, it's highly variable. You know, the Europeans are constantly hacked because, I mean, just the existence of America is annoying. They rely on us. They have made themselves dependent on us needlessly. And at the same time, of course, they resent that. Just like, you know, a surly teenager resents his dad while he asks for the car keys. It's really not different. But at the same time, the Europeans are completely bought into this globalist order that has existed. They believe in the same kind of technocracy that FDR did. This idea that the people are stupid and should not be trusted with power. And we have to have elite experts who rule them and shape and mold their opinions for them and prevent them m from hearing dissenting opinion. That's Europe to a T. That's why you saw all of what you saw when all these people came over from Europe during the World cup. And they're just blown away by America. And in interview after interview, they're like, our media didn't tell us this. Our media told us that, you know, America was a war torn wasteland of, you know, criminal gangs killing everybody all the time. This is the greatest place in the world. Well, yeah, it is. And not only that, but every single European country now is poorer on a per capita GDP basis than Mississippi. Mississippi? Are you kidding me? 50th out of 50. And every European country is poorer. And that's worse than it sounds because 15 years ago, before they really embraced this latest round of socialism, as the Canadians did too, they had a larger economy than the United States. Now they're only 2/3.
Canada's Economic Disparity with California and Analysis of Migrant Motivations
That's unbelievable. Likewise, Canada was, which has the same population as California and vastly more land area and resources. Canada only has half of California's economy and California is the worst run state in the union. So you Know when, when people actually come in contact with the reality of America, they all go crazy about it and love it and want to move here. And that tells you something. It told you something during the Biden years too. All those migrant caravans weren't coming here because we're the most oppressive, racist country in the world. They were coming here because this is the land of hope and opportunity. And, and the Democrats know it. When they're trying to enable all these illegal aliens to come, they just deny it here at home because they want power and not power to do the same thing a little different. Power to, in Obama's term, fundamentally transform America into this socialist workers paradise, so called, like Cuba, you know, or North Korea, that, that actually spends most of its resources, castrating children and killing babies. And that's what we've had in small part. You let these people in, in 28, you're going to get it free, full barrel. It's going to be Venezuela. But, but the bottom line is those European leaders are completely annoyed. And they're also on borrowed time because their own electorates are about to kick most of them out. And Europe's going to look a lot more like America. Now you get beyond Europe, it's a whole different story. The Middle Eastern leaders are, they are just filled with respect for Donald Trump. East Asia is the same way. And Japan, I really want to single out Japan. I, talk a lot about Israel because they're kind of a model ally. They, they take care of business in their own neighborhood. They don't need a lot of help from us. We don't even have a base in Israel, you know, but, but when they need help, we're able to come in with decisive help. That's the model we want for Germany and France as well. But Japan is finally being that. Japan is not only rearming in a way that's very helpful, to our need to contain China, but they're also becoming an arsenal for our other friends. They're selling frigates to Australia. They're actually giving frigates to the Philippines because the Philippines is dirt poor. They're doing things that actually add to the collective defense of the overall alliance. And I know there are some people here who think, oh no, you know, that's terrible. If we're not doing that. No, we can't do everything. We've been trying to do everything.
Global Shifts in Governance, European Immigration Issues, and US Border Policy Under Trump
And that's how you get Iraq and Afghanistan. No, that's not a good model. We need to be realistic about what we can do and do it to our very Best. And we need our allies to do their part too. We're only 4% of the world's population.
Caroline Come on.
Rod Martin So the rest of the world gets it. And you see it in Latin America, where every election, every election since USAID shut down at the beginning of Trump's term, has chosen a conservative government in place of a socialist government. So the world gets it, except for the people who are most bought into this globalist NewSong World Order and are horrified by the idea of Trump's NewSong World reorder. And they see everything they invested their life in slipping away.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Rod, let me ask you this. With the Islamification of these countries, we see it in France, you know, it's about 10% Muslim now. according to the research I did, 8 to 10%. Where do you hit the tipping point where it's like, we're gone, we can't reverse this. Are they already there?
Rod Martin I don't think so. I think they're about one election away from there. I am not a huge fan of Marine Le Pen, but she's absolutely the best choice available to the French. And if they elect Le Pen, and I think they will, Le Pen is going to start doing mass deportations. And you see that that's happening here. We have net negative migration in the United States for the first time in history. We have seen more than 3 million illegals leave. We have shut down, most immigrant immigration from places that want to hurt us. we're actually taking this seriously again for the first time in decades. And that is the model. I mean, the Germans imported all of these Syrian military aged males and supposedly they're refugees. And certainly Russell Moore told you they were all refugees. And you're an evil sinner and probably a spawn of Satan if you don't agree. No, I completely disagree. 70% of these people were military aged males who are supposedly free, fleeing oppression, but didn't bring a wife, didn't bring a sister, didn't bring a mom. What about those people? I mean, I mean, if you're fleeing oppression and possible death, wouldn't you bring your family? But they didn't. They were just coming to look for work or welfare or to Islamified Germany. And that was the story across, across Europe. Germany is an especially egregious example and Mertz is doing a better job on that. But the fact that he isn't doing a great job is why AfD is rising in France. Macron was honestly just an idiot about this stuff and in some ways the worst offender of all has been the British government, which even under the Tories did a terrible job on this. But then under Keir Starmer just went crazy. And now you've got Andy Burnham, and I'm sorry, he's not better. He's just more, he's just, more palatable. he's, he's a more popular guy than Kier, but he's terrible. So, you know when you have Muslim rape gangs just running over England, and if anybody says anything about it, online line, even if there's somebody's grandmother, they get thrown in jail for, quote, speech violations, but the rapists don't go to jail. Okay? Something's gone horribly wrong. And I do think Nigel Farage wins the next general election. And I think you'll see fundamental change. But honestly, these countries have pretty much one last shot.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Yeah, well, it's, it should be a wake up call to America. When you see what's going on in France, it's like, hey, that, that's coming to a theater near you if we don't change things asap.
Trump's Success in Reversing Illegal Immigration and Encouraging Christian Engagement
Rod Martin Yes, absolutely. And to Trump's great credit, they have been really focused on this. They're doing a fantastic job on exactly those things. And, you know, coming back to the border because that open border that Biden gave us, you know, 10 million illegals in just four years, you know, and they're, they're using your tax dollars to recruit those migrant caravans we were watching on TV every day. Okay? Trump has not only reversed that, but zero illegal aliens have been released into the United States in the last 17 months.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Zero.
Rod Martin The, the illegal border crossings are down 99.9%. So anybody who says Trump doesn't keep his promises, I'm sorry, that beats any politician I ever saw.
Pastor Jeff Schreve We're talking to Rod Martin. We're up against a break. When we come back, we'll take your calls. 888-589-8840. That's 888-589-8840. If you have a question, for Rod, you can ask him literally anything that guy has an answer for. lots and lots of stuff. You're listening to Real Truth for today. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on American Family Radio.
Key Takeaways from 'Trump's New World Reorder': Elections, Nations, and Freedom
Jeff Chamblee If you'd like to contact Pastor Jeff, email pastor jeffromhishheart.org now back to Real Truth for today with Pastor Jeff Schrieve.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Welcome back to the program. Pastor Jeff here talking to my friend Rod Martin. His brand new book is called Trump's NewSong World, Dismantling the Deep State and ending post War, globalist rule. great read. Rod has the unique ability to, hit the heart of the issue, and he does it in a way that's very, engaging and humorous. Rod, you got a good sense of humor. And so I encourage you to check out the book. let me ask you this before we go to the phone lines and we are going to be taking your calls. 888-589-8840. what is the, the main walkaway or some of the main walkaways you want someone to, have after they read this book?
Rod Martin I want people to understand that elections have to matter, that outsourcing your freedom to an unelected elite of so called experts is not democracy. It is not freedom, and it is not okay. It's certainly not constitutional, and we're fighting back. And here's the benefit, you know, that's in the book, you know, here's the benefit of achieving that. I want people to understand that nations matter. You really only have two possible systems. You have a system of freedom and a system of aristocracy, whether it's that elite running things at home or running things abroad. And the solution is certainly elected branches in control domestically. But on foreign, issues, it's also a robust system of nation states that actually get to rule themselves and aren't dictated to by some globalist body in Brussels or Geneva or Davos or Beijing. And Trump is fighting for all of that. The third thing is that freedom really does matter, and we want a future of freedom. So when you look at the technological side, when you look at what's happening in space, you know, when you, when you see the costs of transport into space just plummeting by orders of magnitude, there's going to be a lot of settlement over the next century in space, and that is going to have a tremendous economic and military effect on Earth. The Chinese are all over that. They understand it, they talk about it. They're very, very clear what their aims are. They mean to dominate the Earth from space and the human future with it. So we are fighting for freedom versus communism. And Trump is very forward looking. He's making plans not for the next five months, but for the next 50 years.
Addressing Christian Concerns About Democrats Helping the Poor and Republican Indifference
And I really applaud that. We don't have a lot of politicians who do that.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Rod, what would you say to the person. I hear this a lot, you know, when it comes to the voting Democrat or voting Republican, you have those who call themselves Christians and they'll say, well, yeah, I know abortion is wrong. I know that, transgenderism is Wrong. But I like the Democrats because they help the poor and they're focused on the refugee and the indigent. And Republicans don't seem to care about the poor. And you know, what about all these scriptures about helping the poor? And so, how do you, how can you help a Christian understand that from a biblical perspective?
Rod Martin Well, since we were talking about immigration, I'll just say that it's a red herring. We care about refugees. We absolutely care about refugees. We don't care about people gaming the system that was designed to help refugees. Illegitimate, fake refugees shouldn't get to come here and sponge off the American taxpayer and drive up housing costs and drive down wages just because they want to come. And they figured out a clever lie that, that appeals to the, the sense of morality of Christians. No, you're being scammed. Your church can't give all of its benevolence fund to just anybody who tells a sad story. Your church leadership is supposed to, supposed to figure out, is this actually someone who is in need and someone this church can support? The government should be no different. Okay, but if you look at the poor generally, I touched on it a bit. But I'll give you the salient stats, and I do think they're a moral issue. Donald Trump's economic system just created a million new civilian jobs in this country in 60 days flat. A million new jobs in the last two months. And it's exactly what you and I have been talking about now for two years. It's, you recruit all this investment, $18 trillion in new investment from outside the country coming in to build manufacturing here so that blue collar guys can actually have a middle class income and support a family on that one income again. We thought that was gone. Our politicians in both parties said those jobs are never coming back. Well, they're coming back now. They're coming back like crazy because Trump rebalanced the system. That makes a huge impact on real people. And likewise, we just got numbers from the Census Bureau. We now have the lowest poverty rate in history, lowest poverty rate in history matched by the highest median income in history. And before anybody, you know, says, oh, well, that's not adjusted for inflation. Yes, it actually is inflation adjusted. Lowest poverty rate, highest median income. Well, I'm still hurting and my gas is too high. Yes, Donald Trump doesn't have a magic wall. He can't make everything perfect all at once. You voted for Obama twice, you voted for Biden. And after they break everything, you think Trump is supposed to just change it all in 18 months, get a clue. You have to be responsible for the country. You have to be responsible not just for your vote, but for the logical, expected consequences of such a vote. And you have to be responsible for the future, for your grandchildren's sake if nobody else. We can't wait around for the Republicans to get the messaging right or anything. We are the Republicans. We have a duty to talk to our friends and drag them to the polls.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Amen to that. Well, let's go to the phone lines and we have, Hartwell on the line from Louisiana. Hartwell, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Thank you so much for taking my call.
Listener Feedback and Encouragement on Current Political and Spiritual Climate
And I want to thank you so much for having your guest on. He is saying everything I wanted to hear.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Very good.
Caroline All right, that's all I got. Thank you.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay. Hartwell, thank you for that. I appreciate the encouragement. And Rod, you're a fan favorite. I was with, Steve Cannon for the jail ministry last night and he said, I, listened to Real Truth for today. Thank you for introducing me to Rod Martin, because he really likes to listen to you. He's learned a lot from you. We have Jerry on the line from Texas. Jerry, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Caroline Thank you, brother. I'm going to second what the last caller just said. I love listening to you and brother Rod banter. I love the way that you're very straight to the point, no sugarcoating it. I myself enjoy truth that way. And if, you'll give me just a minute, I'd like to say that, I work at a certain university that has a certain football team that may not be doing so great this season. But I don't focus on the football team. Yes, but I focus on the ability to be a guest lecturer in the construction science department and interact with college age students every day that we're in class. And it warms my heart that the students I talk to are going back and finding a relationship with God and with Christ. And that when I get the opportunity to talk to them, I, do realize more and more that the government funded, the government ran, the government educated system has failed a good portion of these students in being able to logically think and disperse information. And I also like that it gives me the opportunity to give them the truth in a straight fact forward manner that they then come back and have follow on conversations because they want to know the truth. And with that, I'll let you two go. I appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Hey, thank you, Jerry. I appreciate that. so Rod, are you encouraged or discouraged with, the direction right now. Do you see a change hitting the college campuses?
Encouraging Trends in Young People's Faith and Political Engagement
Rod Martin Yeah, I'm actually really encouraged. We could still fumble the ball on the five yard line like certain football teams that will remain nameless. But if we don't, we're in reach of winning the Super Bowl. And part of that is the encouraging numbers among young people. We're seeing a tremendous upswing in the number of Gen Z men in particular who are coming to faith in Jesus Christ. And it turns out that they're outnumbering the Gen Z women now. You know, probably better than anybody. We haven't had more men than women in a generation. Love the Lord probably in three centuries. That's just not normal. It tends to be lopsided female. That's not happening now. So, so that's really encouraging. These men will lead good families. They will have good jobs so they can support their families. And, and generally speaking, when husbands and fathers lead, lead, families follow. So those Gen Z women will end up in church and will end up believing as well. This is really encouraging. We've also seen good numbers in voting. you know, young people tend to be more Democrat. But we've actually had really, really positive numbers again among millennial and Gen Z men. There's a big disparity with a lot of the millennial and Gen Z women. But, but, I think we're on track and, and we can definitely win elections and win hearts and minds on that basis.
Pastor Jeff Schreve All right, let's go to, Dennis in Missouri. Dennis, welcome to Real Truth for today.
Strategies for Turning America Around and Addressing National Debt
Caroline Well, good morning, gentlemen. Enjoy your show. Pastor Jeff, thank you. Enjoy your guest immensely. I have three things real quick. First thing is, Rod Martin, what is your website?
Rod Martin Rodmartin.org I made it really, really simple. It's rodmartin.org and I'd love for you to come. Thank you.
Caroline Well, I'm 76 years old, so it has to be simple. Anyway, my two thoughts are how can we turn America back? And number second thought is, what about the debt? How do we deal with the debt?
Pastor Jeff Schreve Okay, turn turning America back around, Rod, and then dealing with the, the trillions of debt.
Rod Martin Okay, last question. First. Congress has shown a thorough inability to meaningfully cut spending and they have allowed it to get out of hand, particularly on the big entitlement programs and also on the debt, which you rightly mentioned, because we are now spending $1 trillion a year just on interest. And some of that's needless. So one of the things we're going to do is we're going to refinance a lot of that debt with longer term bonds. The Biden administration just lost its mind and did a bunch of short term financing which significantly elevates interest rates. That's absurd. Scott Bessent is all over that. But the bigger issue is if Congress isn't going to cut enough, first of all, you've got to elect more people who are actually willing to cut. That's part of it. Second, you've got to grow the economy. So getting trillions of dollars of regulations off of the backs of the taxpayer, which Trump has already done in this first 18 months. Also cutting their taxes, getting rid of taxes on overtime and tips and Social Security benefits, but also stupid needless taxes on businesses, allows businesses to hire, allows them to pay higher wages, all of which results in higher tax revenue, even if the rate is lower. So we saw this play before. In the 90s, we had four straight years, four straight years of budget surpluses which nobody thought was possible. And during that time, we started paying down the debt.
Achieving National Revival Through Community Organization and Christian Morality
If it hadn't been for 9, 11, we'd have stayed on that path. But, but we can this time if we choose to, if we, if we make the determined effort and Trump is laying the foundation. So I think we can take care of the debt. As far as, as far as the bigger problem, the, the more important question, the more important question is how do we turn around America? And, and look, I keep telling people, it works out in this cycle, we can win the House if we add one, thousand votes in just 20 U.S. house races that are particularly competitive, that works out to four people per precinct. That works out to, oh, wait, I can put four people in my car and drag them to the polls. This isn't rocket science. We can take responsibility for our country and our future, and we can make the difference. It's a low turnout election. That means that whoever organizes better wins. Okay, here's the bigger answer. The bigger answer is everything I just described is exactly how you get people to church. It's exactly how you organize a community. In an evangelistic campaign, the same tactics apply. Go tell them about Trump and the Republicans. That's great. Next week, go tell them about Jesus. And when more people come to faith in Jesus Christ, the whole world will be better. This country will certainly be better. And these horrible things we're talking about murdering babies, you know, actual, actual born babies. Even with this Lindsey Clinton Clancy disaster, you know, and all the copycat killing sins, castrating children. This is horrifying. This is like molech worship, all that stuff goes away. If you get back to a largely Christian consensus, it doesn't matter that everybody is saved or isn't. it matters that people come back to that shared morality.
Concluding Thoughts on Rod Martin's Book and Call to Christian Witness
And that gives us a better framework from where to reach the other people with the gospel for whom it didn't quite take.
Pastor Jeff Schreve Amen to that. Rod, thank you so much for being my guest. The book is called Trump's NewSong World Dismantling the Deep State and Ending Post War Globalist Rule. The author is Rod D. Martin. Check it out on, Amazon. And there's a picture of the book if you're watching on YouTube. And so, it'll be a blessing to you. Hey, God out today. Shine for Christ and share what great things the Lord has done for you. And guess what? God will use you as his witness. Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on American Family Radio. Have a great weekend.
Pastor Jeff Schrieve here on American Family Radio. We'll be right back.

In this episode, Pastor Jeff Schreve engages in a discussion with philosopher and author Rod Martin about the current political landscape.
