My name is Abraham Hamilton, III and this is The Hamilton Minute.

Prior to the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, over 80% of American families were debt free.

Today, over 80% of the American people are saddled with debt.

I was asked recently asked what advice I could offer in the midst of the national tension we currently face. One of the things I said in response was to work toward getting completely out of debt.

So much fruitfulness and faithfulness to God has been robbed from us due to the impact of crushing debt.

One of the best things you can do for your family right now is to become debt-free.

“Faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.”  1 Corinthians 13:13 (NASB).

Karl Marx, an emissary of evil, and Charles Spurgeon, the “Prince of Preachers,” were evangelists of diametrically opposed messages, yet they both lived in London and the same time.

In fact, when asked the name of the person he most detested, Friedrich Engels, Marx’s cohort in chaos, responded unequivocally: “Spurgeon.”

A generation later George Bernard Shaw, a hardcore communist, seethed in hatred for William Booth and his Salvation Army of volunteers.

Time and again, robust Christian witness has been the inoculate against the proliferation of Marxist poison in society.

“You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness.” 2 Timothy 3:10 (ESV).

Apostle Paul penned his second epistle to Timothy, now an Elder in the Church at Ephesus, about 64-65 A.D. while imprisoned in Rome awaiting his imminent execution under Nero.

In warning Timothy about the coming perilous times, marked by the increased anti-Christian persecution in the Roman empire in 64 A.D., Paul directed Timothy to his speech and his feet.

In speech, Paul gave Timothy priceless Biblical instruction. In feet, Paul left Timothy a legacy of lifestyle.

Christ-following demands consistency between speech and feet.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NASB).

In his October 11, 1798 address to the Massachusetts Militia, John Adams, 2nd President of the United States and founding father said,

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

He understood that in order for the American Constitutional Republic to survive long term the church in America must make disciples of its populace.

An immoral people will always destroy themselves through lawlessness. To think otherwise, is to suffer under a grand delusion.

And the second is like it.  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

When Queries by the pharisees concerning the greatest commandment, Jesus answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

He then said the second greatest commandment is, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

He didn't simply say love your neighbor.  He said Christ followers must love our neighbors as ourselves.

Christian duty requires us to employ discernment and active empathy.  We worship our Lord when we put ourselves in one another's shoes as we do live together and resolve misunderstandings.

“He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.”  Proverbs 13:20 (NASB).

When my wife and I first started having children we discouraged our family members from speaking to them in baby talk… you know the gaga-googoo stuff.

The reason was simple.  We wanted our children to speak English well.  Baby talk would hinder that development.

The same principle applies to spiritual development.

If we want our children to be wise disciples of our LORD we should ask ourselves how much of their time is spent investing in spiritual maturity.

Protracted time in the company of spiritual baby-talkers will inevitably cause harm.

“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so.”  Psalm 107:2(a) (NASB).

During the Tokyo Olympics, 21 year-old Sydney McLaughlin form New Jersey won the Gold Medal in 400-meter hurdles with a world record-setting time 51.46 seconds.

In winning gold, she bested her previous 51.9 seconds world record time.

After winning gold she posted on Instagram,

I no longer run for self recognition, but to reflect His perfect will that is already set in stone. I don’t deserve anything. But by grace, through faith, Jesus has given me everything. Records come and go. The glory of God is eternal. Thank you Father.

The gold was awarded to Sydney. She gave the glory to God.

Chicago Police Officer Ella French and her partner pulled over a car for expired plates. One of the two suspects exited the vehicle with a drink in one hand and cell phone in the other. He refused repeated instructions to put those items down. He then pulled .22 caliber handgun from his waist band and fired several shots, hitting and killing 29 year-old Officer French with a single shot to the head and hitting her partner in the shoulder and right eye.

Note to all you defund the police quacks, there’s no such thing as a routine traffic stop.

“But they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”  Romans 1:21(b) (ESV).

BBC’s Woman’s Hour asked social media followers to submit opinions about “the best way to inform teenagers” about “age-appropriate porn.”

The women’s radio magazine program, which has been on the air since 1946, tweeted “What’s the best way to inform teenagers about porn? Should there be age-appropriate porn?”

Corruption and depravity know no bounds.

Keep in mind this is a women’s program calling for the objectification of women and the corruption of children.

The strong push for the sexualization of children continues. Society has collectively become futile in their thinking due to darkened hearts.

At the direction of Mr. J. Robinette and in defiance of a recent Supreme Court ruling, the CDC issued a new illegal 60-day moratorium on evictions.

They say they issued “this new order halting evictions” to help slow the spread of COVID.

When he announced this new illegal moratorium Mr. Robinette admitted that the majority of legal scholars he consulted told him this move would not survive constitutional scrutiny. Yet, they did it anyway.

He even admitted, they did it because by the time it reached SCOTUS, they would’ve already gotten more Americans hooked on government aid.

That is the goal. More government dependency.

U.S. National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins said in an interview on CNN’s News Day that vaccinated “parents of unvaccinated kids should be thoughtful about it” and wear masks inside of their on homes if their children are unvaccinated.

He said, “it’’s the best way to protect your kids.” He said this even though Mr. Robinette’s top COVID advisor epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm said previously on CNN that the masks people use DO. NOT. WORK.

They know what Dr. Osterholm knows, yet the push the mask nonsense for one primary reason: control!

“And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.”  Acts 19:22 (ESV).

As Apostle Paul navigated torrential ministerial waters in Ephesus, he sent Timothy and Erastus ahead of him as an advance team to Macedonia. Paul also includes Erastus as one who greeted the church at Rome in Romans 16:23 in which Paul described Erastus’ job as the City Treasurer in Corinth.

In 1929, archeologists in Corinth discovered a mid-1st century latin inscription that read “Erastus in return for his aedileship laid the pavement at his own expense.” The modern equivalent of a 1st century aedile would be a City Manager.

The Bible is trustworthy!

“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”  Matthew 5:28 (NASB).

The New York A.G. announced that an independent investigation has revealed NY Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed numerous women, including current and former staffers from 2013 to 2020 in violation of state and federal laws.

They also found the Cuomo administration was a “hostile work environment, “rife with fear and intimidation,” which included at least one instance of retaliation against a former employee who accused him of wrongdoing.

Elected officials across the political spectrum have called for Cuomo to resign.

To date, he’s refused to do so.

“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.”  Psalm 127:3 (NASB).

Nick Vujicic, an entrepreneur and evangelist born without his four limbs due to a rare genetic condition, plans to launch “ProLife Bank — a financial institution that will serve as an alternative to mainstream commercial banks, most of which donate heavily to Planned Parenthood.

Vujicic believes he’s in a unique position to address issues related to abortion, adoption and foster care.

About 90% of banks give toward abortion. He says Christians must have better options for using God’s money.

He added, “50% of ProLife Bank’s net profits will be given to Judeo-Christian organizations to further the Kingdom of God.”

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”  Ephesians 6:4 (ESV).

Though the pandemic disrupted family life across the U.S., some parents are grateful for one consequence: They’re now homeschooling their children.

Familial reasons vary greatly. Some families are responding to their children’s special needs; others seek to inculcate their Christian beliefs in their children’s instruction. Some thought homeschooling would be temporary. Now, they can’t imagine someone else training their children.

Based on U.S. Census Bureau data, the rate of homeschooling households rose to 11% by September 2020. That’s more than double the rate from just six months prior.

“Do you suppose, O man--you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself--that you will escape the judgment of God?”  Romans 2:3 (ESV).

Iran’s Islamic government is cutting off internet access following widespread anti-regime protests in the Khuzestan province.

In America, NPR published a hit piece on the Daily Wire, The Blaze, Breitbart and Western Journal in which it called for big tech to work harder and do more  to minimize misinformation coming from conservative outlets.

NPR is taxpayer funded. It’s the closest thing we have to literal government run media. And NPR is calling for the minimization of the influence of ideas and information that doesn’t comport with their preferred narratives.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, But those who deal faithfully are His delight.”  Proverbs 12:22 (NASB).

After Texas legislators fled the Lone Star state to prohibit the passage of an election integrity bill there, they sought sanctuary in D.C. This reportedly led to the spread of COVID-19 in the White House, among those who’d taken the injections.

That led a reporter to ask Press Secretary Jen Psaki,

Why won’t [the Administration] just release the number of breakthrough cases you’ve had of vaccinated staffers? Why not just provide the number? Are you trying to hide something?

To which Psaki replied, “Why do you need that information?”

But she brings “truth and transparency,” right?

“The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.”  Proverbs 14:15 (ESV).

Marty Makary and a team of researchers at Johns Hopkins University have published results from their own study which shows people pushing forced COVID injections onto children are in fact fighting against the science.

Makary and his team reviewed about 48,000 cases of children under 18 reported to have COVID between April and August 2020. Their study found a mortality rate of zero among children without a pre-existing medical condition like leukemia.

This doesn’t mean COVID should be taken lightly. But it should cause politicians and others to shut up and let parents decide what’s best for their children.

“The ear that listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise.”  Proverbs 15:31 (ESV).

The book of Proverbs is one that flows with abundant insight for wisdom.  It shows that one of the most prominent qualities of wise people is that they welcome and even celebrate life-giving correction.

In today’s world, overrun by cultural Marxism, there is much discussion as to what segments of our society hate themselves.

Well, Proverbs gives the answer.  He who rejects life-giving correction despises himself.

The truest demonstration of self-hatred is revealed by knuckleheads who refuse to humble themselves and embrace life-giving correction.

Loving rebuke saves lives.  Correction displays love.
