"Hope for the Caregiver," with Peter Rosenberger, is a weekly broadcast strengthening fellow caregivers.
Peter offers help for caregivers when we must deal with people who are out of control, bearing in mind that “Hysterical equals Historical”.
Then Cindy Brinker Simmons, author of Restored: Reconnecting Life's Broken Pieces, joins Peter to offer hope to those who might be living in a fragile place after loss, pain, or grief.
Peter asks some pretty probing questions of us, well worth pondering for our hearts. He also has conversation with Senior Advocate, Kelly O’Connor who brings both knowledge and experience to the table.
“We cannot control the wind, but we can adjust the sails.”
Pete uses a Dolly Parton quote, to help us to be more flexible as caregivers.
Peter is host to his long-time friend, Messianic Rabi Eric Walker discussing how to live in the crucible of care-giving with clarity, asking the right questions of God and receiving His answers.
Carole joins Peter to discuss her remarkable experiences caring for her Pastor/husband and her book, which documents their live-changing diagnosis in greater detail, “Are you Ready to Find Joy When Life Gets Messy?”
Winston S. Churchill once said, "We are masters of the unsaid words, but slaves of those we let slip out."
Peter takes us back to Gospel basics; He owes us nothing because He has given us everything.
Peter talks with Christian music artist, song writer and author, Bryan Duncan about his care-giving journey as well as some very frank and candid conversation around his personal spiritual struggles as a follower of Christ.
We’re just renting! Regardless of our situation, feast or famine, we are stewards, not owners in this world. Peter also counsels us in advance thinking & planning as caregivers.
“Peter Rosenberger, America’s Caregiver!” That’s a proclamation Peter is going to begin using, LOL, although he says, “not really”.
Question: Can we look at our care-giving situation and see the mercies of God in all that we do, all that we are exposed to, and trust the sovereign God for all we need?
Peter offers some terrific reminders this week – God’s got this! And as caregivers, we are tethered but we are not constrained. Producer Pat joins the program sharing her journey as a caregiver to her husband of 46 years.
Peter and Gracie are still struggling since her December surgery so we revisit one of the best of Hope for the Caregiver programs with Peter's guest, Mark Negley, author of Survive – Alive – Thrive: Navigating the Journey from Loss to Hope to Happiness.

For the Caregiver, contentment might be one of the most important things for us to strive for along with perusing healthiness. Peter takes us through some steps that can be very helpful in the process.
Peter reminds us that any life other than one wholly surrendered to Christ is death in disguise, putrid and stinking. Dying to our sin and ourselves is beginning to truly live in total transformation of everything that Christs offers to live new and fresh and clean.
Peter reminds us that there is a time and a place AND a purpose for sharing our stories. There are details of our lives that shouldn’t be laid out for the world. We must use discretion about how much of our lives we share. We then revisit his interview with author and scholar, Ethan Burroughs.
Peter talks about navigating the FOG – fear / obligation / guilt – while we remember our King seeks for us. We also hearken back to one of our best interviews of 2023 with Lt. Col. Oliver North.
Happy New Year! Peter brings us an update on Gracie and himself, gives us a demonstration for graceful confrontation, and asking better questions. He also issues each of us a challenge to “Learn Something new” this year, followed with a reminder that the battle is the Lord’s.
This episode from 2022 is timeless for any program, but we chose to air it for this last day of 2023 because the content is rich and full of wisdom for any and all who care for loved one’s in need.
Our Year-end Assessment
Peter is joined by Laura Story, Praise Leader, recording artist, author, mom and caregiver.
As Peter is away preforming his caregiving duties, we re-visit one of the best from 2022.
Holidays and caregiving are not always compatible but if we remember we are stewards and not obligated merry makers it can help.
Embrace new traditions, getting above the chaos with solitude and what that looks like are two things Peter identifies for us – it is not isolation.
And finally, a cautionary tale - “How much trauma is acceptable?”
Gratitude! Peter shares an article he wrote some time ago reflecting on gratitude and how it motivates our lives. We then join an interview from last year with his friend, aviator & caregiver, Frank Frazier.
