How long has it been since you had a good laugh? Peter wants you to know that it’s okay to laugh, in fact, he highly recommends it! He shares a “funny thing that happened at the cancer center”. And our hymn, of course, is The Joy of The Lord.
Peter offers his perspective on failure and perfectionism as we caregivers move from one crisis to another, and for some, that is much too often. He suggests we seek help from others to improve productivity, according to our talents and circumstances and look to Christ for our strength. We are thankful for the “fathers” in our lives, knowing that our true Father is our God as we consider the hymn of the week, “Faith of Our Fathers”.
Peter Rosenberger, America’s Caregiver, says, “Take a break!” Where are your boundaries – Understanding what you must carry and what is God’s. We look at our stewardship responsibilities and our hymn this week we re-visit, “It Is Well With My Soul”.
Peter Rosenberger, America’s Caregiver, has begun his personal cancer journey and share it with his listeners along the way. We will also here his alternative to mowing grass in Montana, how to picnic in the Valley of the Shadow of Death and our hymn, Oh, How I Love Jesus.
This week Peter will deviate just a bit from his usual format to bring us a tremendous testimony from Malene Cunningham. We will return to our Hymn of the Week in June.
Memorial Day; commemorating the sacrifices on our behalf by the few who never took off their uniforms. Scripture tells us that there is one soldier that God refused to forget and we hear again from Michael Frazier, retired military chaplain.
This week we are encouraged to ask better questions as we face small and large decisions as caregiving as in life. Getting ready to be a caregiver is one of those areas for better questions and Peter asks, “What do you want your obituary to say? Our hymn, “And Can It Be?”
Peter’s moto is – “Healthy caregivers make better caregiver” and this week he reminds us that heathy needs to include our mental health. We look at the comfort that we must have as we offer ourselves in care to another and our hymn of the week is “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness.”
Peter reminds us how easy it is to hide behind certain words that make it easy to allow others to carry the weight of responsibility. Also, even caregivers can find ways to keep growing in our skillset and we look at the hymn, “As The Deer”.
This week, Peter reminds us to test the spirit behind the motives of others, as well as yourself. We share a portion of an interview with Dick Tunney, well known for his contributions to Christian music, as well as other genres of the music industry, who now finds himself in the role of Caregiver.
Contentment Part Two - Contentment is sometimes hard to find and often harder to maintain. Peter’s guest, Pastor and author Chris Maxwell share what he has learned in his journey toward contentment.

HE Is Risen! …and in turn life bursts forth. Peter’s observations of comments made last week in the news, we have a savior who understands and our Resurrection Hymn, “Because He Lives”.
So many people in the lives of caregivers really do want to help, but often the help arrives as criticism. Peter advises us to answer those with, “Give me solutions.” Observations of the life of Chuck Norris are helpful and we look at the three-P’s of caregiving before considering our hymn, “The Old Rugged Cross”.
A tactically complex mission – for some caregivers, this is our lives. We also struggle with our own health issues illustrated for us as Peter shares his own cancer diagnosis. Our hymn this week is Sweet Hour of Prayer.
Peter advises caregivers that we don’t owe everyone the whole story, so stock answers are sometimes our best response. Good food that nourishes our bodies is important but equally importance for us is our focus on the good food for our soul – The Word of God. Caregiver! …What are the those who surround you pouring into you and to whom should you be listening? Our hymn this week is Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.
At times we are tempted to think to ourselves, “I’ve learned that already” or “I’m already doing this”. So why does Peter keep going back to some of these concepts he has already covered? Because we so often have amnesia about the lives we live. Applying and reapplying the Word of God and the tools we are given is of paramount importance as we continue to walk through being a caregiver. And Nothing but The Blood of Jesus!
Peter brings an insightful and helpful inter with Pastor/Adoptive Dad and now Author, Andrew Hopper talking about his book, Chosen: Building Your Family the Way God Builds His. Peter and Andre talk seriously about the challenges and blessings of adopting special needs children.
Happiness is not the caregiver’s goal as we carry out our tasks on behalf of our loved ones, but healthiness. Most of us struggle with this in one or more areas and Peter brings us back to healthiness so we can have joy in our daily lives. Our hymn this week; Lead On O King Eternal.
As Gracie has continued to make progress, Peter updates us on the status of his long idle Caregiver Support Group. He offers us some straight talk about Valentines Day, especially as it often appears for caregivers and ends with our hymn, “I Will Sing of my Redeemer”.
